29/06/18 We have an updated Beginner's Guide for New Members! Please browse through it to get a feel for our systems before diving in! It is here. 22/04/19 Brand new site skin, what what!!
It had been a few days, spent drifting in outer space, the young girl letting the ship guide her back to Earth's last known coordinates. In that time, she'd gained a taste for the simple dehydrated food packets that were stored in the little shuttle, and begun to appreciate plain water over the flavour of sweetened sodas. She'd also been bedazzled by a few cosmic sights, here and there, but in reality, she spent much of her time snoozing away or scribbling notes down for future ideas as they came to her. The serenity of being in a silent cockpit gave her more time to think than she could've imagined. But soon enough, that silence was marred by an array of lights and cacophony of warning buzzers going off. She awoke from her sleep with a start, slapping her hands about the control panel, trying to figure out what had happened in a daze. "Bwuh-uhhh?!" she groaned, before pressing her face up against the glass of the canopy. There was nothing in the immediate vicinity, no rocks, comets or nearby suns. She clearly wasn't in any danger. So she turned to her controls, taking a few moments to process just what was buzzing away at her. Soon, she came to realize it was simply the autopilot preparing for a landing. This both startled and excited the young girl, this situation could only mean she was finally home at last. Earth, where she'd get to see her parents again and show them all that she'd learned and accomplished while away!
She smiled, looking around for the big blue marble but was instead met with the sight of a somewhat green looking marble instead. She blinked a few times, deliberately, before rubbing them, hoping it was just part of her daze. Obviously, it wasn't. "This isn't Earth... just where...?" she stated obviously, before catching sight of another blinking light beside a communications panel. She promptly tapped it, and was met with the face of her uncle. She promptly grimmaced. "You may be wondering where you are right now, Tetra. As it stands, your old uncle knows a few technical tricks too. I knew it wouldn't take you long to hotwire a shuttle and high-tail it out of her, so I reprogrammed the shuttles to head straight for this planet, Namek. Your parents didn't want you to go back to Earth, because they knew it wasn't safe for you, and I can't just willingly let you..." the recording played on. Tetra went through a mix of confusion, frustration and fear. This marked her first alien planet, and a situation she wasn't prepared for. Naturally, for a kid, this was scary. She clenched her fists, watching as the green orb ahead grew much larger, thoughts whizzed through her mind about what kind of horrible creatures could lurk on the planet beneath her.
"... the people that live there are peaceful, hopefully the Nameks will see their usual kindness and watch over you until I can come pick you up. You wont get much of what you want from them, but don't do anything stupid until I get there, comprende?" the recording finished, before blinking out. For a moment, the young girl felt fury over her uncle. She slammed a hand down on the control panel, giving an angsty growl toward the screen. Her whirlpool of emotions would continue until the shuttle finally began to glow with an orange light. The sounds of wind rushing intensely over the craft gave her pause, as she'd never experienced re-entry before. Sudden panic followed, as ambiguity to her fate began to encapsulate her. The shuttle was in auto, so her attempts to tamper with the controls proved effortless. But soon, the heat passed, the shuttle began gliding in to Namek's atmosphere, aiming for a relatively empty location but not far from any particular villages.
"By the way, I didn't program it for a smooth landing. Consider that your punishment for stealing my ship." came another warning from the monitor. Tetra was still for a moment, before immediately diving under the panel, wrenching off covers and fumbling away at cables underneath. "Master control circuits... got it... need to bypass autopilot control... gonna have to shut that down entirely... need to activate steering column and stabilizers... oh crap crap crap..." she mumbled as she began digging through the mass of cables, as well as the mass of thoughts tumbling through her mind. Unfortunately, she peeked up to see that no matter how quick she was, she wasn't able to stop her ship from clipping the side of a mountainside. As it did, the shuttle began a spin in the air, making it all the more obvious to distant observers that the shuttle was crashing.
She tumbled about in the cockpit for a while, bumping back and forth, until she felt her head slam hard into the seat, a terrible crashing sound surrounded her. The shuttle shook and rumbled, as dirt and dust showered over the canopy, darkening the interior for a while, until the ship finally collided with forest trees. As it came to a halt finally, the ship was in an absolute wreck. Smoking from the damage of the crash and parts torn asunder and scattered along the gouge it'd made in the landscape. Tetra seemed to fare much better. She was in a daze once more from all the knocks and bumps, but thankfully she'd made it through without a cut to her flesh. "Auuuuu.. gggck...." she moaned and groaned, as she tried to right herself from her awkward position. She soon was upright, sitting upon the console. She tapped a few buttons beneath, but nothing happened. "Oh... did he trap me in here until he arrives..." she said quietly to herself, unable to muster up an emotion in her state. As she did, she heard a hiss. The sounds of the canopy opening followed, bathing her in light once more...

Thread PL: 205.000 Suppressed: 1.000 Someone just crashed. Brrrravo. He's not in mood for this, and with how tense the situation is, added with the fact that two of the Remnant Alliance's crucial people KIA, it's just misfortune upon misfortune for him. Beat doesn't feel happy at all. He definitely wanted to protest to whoever think this is a good idea to crash land in Namek at tense time like this... Then again, considering the status in Bris... he heard it's a no travel zone, and Earth, where it exploded... the only right place is here. He guessed it's either stray human or something else... He hoped it's just a human. Beat's NOT a huge fan of other race, especially ones that would invite problem. It can't be the Galactic Patrol, considering that they would probably send SOS Signal the moment they landed.
...When he saw the site of the crash, he only could exhale. The ki signature for the person inside doesn't tell him that they're in any emergency situation thankfully, but he guessed that he should act swift. He slowly approached the wreckage, ki blade formed on his hand. The half saiyan youth pried open the cover. While he didn't point his blade to the older girl, he hoped that she could at least understand the situation she is in and read his ki signature. He wondered if she would feel frightened seeing Saiyan, half or not. He know that their image is not that positive in Earth. That and added with black and blue saiyan armor he wear... he guessed that it'll make him look like a proper militia, huh. "...it would do you good to not move suddenly. Do not resist and do as I say. First, let's get out. If you're hurt, tell me, otherwise you can continue getting out normally."
Beat gave the girl a room to walk out at the very least. If she's hurt, he would heal her, but otherwise he'll keep his silence until she's out of the wreckage. "...Walk to the tree there. Do not run and do it normally. You could sit there, or stand, up to you. But stay there."
...He guess he's a bit too soft, but eh, well. He being harsh is not his style. He'll definitely meet any resistance harshly though.
After a hiss and a groan from the hydraulics of the canopy, Tetra turned, to shield her eyes from the light, soon realizing the opening was not automatic but rather a forceful opening. The hydraulics were promptly wrenched apart, resisting against the Saiyan far beyond their tolerances, causing vents of gas to spew from outside. Nevertheless, the young girl was alright, and now eye-to-eye with the saiyan. She immediately looked him over, wondering if this was one of the Nameks her uncle spoke of. But this boy began to address her much like an officer of the law, telling her to get out and stand over by the tree. Or maybe he was just a thief looking to scavenge a broken down ship, before any of the locals stopped by to help her. Nevertheless, she stuck with the positive. Slowly, she got out of the cockpit, keeping eyes on the saiyan as she did, until she reached the tree. She leant against it, wordlessly pondering what the kid intended to do. For some reason though, the outfit he wore was strangely familiar. Then it hit her, books from before she left Earth. Pictures she'd seen of 'Saiyan' warriors. Her parents had always warned her to keep away from Saiyans, as they were always drawn to battle, violence, war. She glanced aside briefly, wondering if she should make a run for it, but his intentions weren't apparent. If she did run, he'd likely just blast her...
So instead, she spoke up, hoping to find out if this one planned to fight or was just some unusual renegade, away from his kind. "You're a Saiyan, aren't you?" she asked simply, watching him intently. Her own power level was low, not through suppression but simply due to her not being much of a fighter herself. She didn't have much of a battle ready stance either, standing casually against the tree. Her age was easily apparent too.

The girl is obedient, good. Beat checked the condition of the ship and he seem glad that it's not going to explode. At this time, the girl asked about his race. "...Close, I'm a half. There's no full Saiyan with red eyes or red hair as far as I know. Then again, I guess there are not many race with tail and muscular body."
Once he figured out it's safe to ignore the ship for the meantime, Beat pressed the communication button on his scouter. "This is Beat. Situation under control for now. Backup request not needed. It's just a spacepod... Yeah, there was a girl inside. I think they're just refugee trying to get to safe planet or something, She's probably Earthling. She's unharmed... probably just a bit shocked or something. I'll report in detail later. I'm going to ask the girl some questions. Beat out."
He turned around to the girl and tossed her a water bottle, then proceed to sit in front of her. "If you're thirsty, you can drink. Alright, you heard that, I'm going to give you a bit of information I guess. You're in Namek, and if your destination isn't here then I'm sorry about that. From your ki signature I guess you're Earthling? Regardless, I want you to answer several questions. One, name and age, please. Two, what are you doing in here, and what's your goal of coming here? Three, if you have some form of ID, that would be great, I'll need it and I'll return to you later. Four, do you know if anyone would come here looking for you? For now, those are my questions. Answer it and I'll give you chance to ask yours."
If she dared to lie... hmmm, he guess she won't but... Just in case, he stared right at her eyes, trying to see any sign of lie.
The more she looked over the kid, the more she could actually see he was younger than her. And the next few things he said made it clear he was in some kind of law enforcement, or maybe not, but she continued to assume... whatever the best option was. A saiyan in law enforcement didn't seem like a typical 2+2, but she was on an alien planet after all. As the water bottle was flung her way, she fumbled to catch it, bouncing in her hands a couple of times before dropping to the floor, but she didn't seem to care that it now lay on the floor next to her feet, despite his sincere offer. "I'm fine." she said simply, growing wary by the second at being in the presence of a saiyan. Even if he was a hybrid, she knew those could be just as threatening as the full blooded ones. Before she knew it, she was being hit by a barrage of questions and demands. She already knew she was on Namek, despite that being against her wishes. So she replied with a full barrage of her own.
"My name is Tetra Deltos, I'm 14 years old, I had absolutely zero plans to even land here, if the crash wasn't obvious and I dont have any ID with me since I was hoping to get back to Earth instead and find my parents." she rattled. Her answers were quick, showing her growing frustration at not just the spanish inqusition she was faced with, but the situation as a whole. She wanted to get to Earth, plain and simple, unaware of its fate, or the fate of her parents. And the thought of her uncle soon prepping to chase her down was in the back of her mind, a bothersome gnat of a thought. She just wanted to get back underway, fix her ship and leave.

...To Earth huh. Beat... sighed. He looked pained for a bit, but he guessed this is the right time to break the news on her. "...Good for you then, in many ways. Alright, Tetra... I'll... unfortunately have to break some news on you. It's... not pleasant, so I suggest you just... uh, as much of possible, make yourself comfortable."
Beat took a chug of his own water bottle. "So as you heard, name's Beat... First of all, you're indeed in Namek. As of why Saiyans are here, let's just say I'm part of Remnant Alliance. We're Saiyan mercenary group, and we have great relationship with our landlords the Namekians. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said to Earthling. People on Earth doesn't view us favorably. Even though now we're contracted by the Galactic Patrol, we're still bunch of invaders and destroyers for you guys. Can't blame you, but our Remnant Alliance is pretty much different from your run on the mill Saiyans that targets for total galactic domination. Our leader tried to help you people... three times, and three times he was spat on his face, so... needless to say, our policy is "no Earthling allowed in the Saiyan Citadel". I still can bring you to the Guru, the leader of this planet so you can stay somewhere until at least you can go on your way or something, but... even then, I guess you have nowhere else to go."
Beat sighed and took another chug of his water. "For explanation, it's good for you to land here, as currently there are few planets, but civilization that's good enough to support you? There are only two in this galaxy. Bris and Namek. Bris... unfortunately has declared themselves as no-travel zone. Whether you're earthling or saiyan means very little to them. You'll be shot on spot. Apparently some stupid queen decided to send all the Earth refugee there after a certain attack back on Earth. Those Kold bastard said that the promise was not with the current queen, but the previous one instead. So they began to wipe out all women and children there... Earthling, all of them."
...He felt frustrated, he can't really mince his words when explaining "...So, what left on earth were mostly men and east city women and children. But... well... guess you haven't heard the news, but..." Beat inhaled. This is... honestly still his biggest trauma. All of those people, unable to escape, and fed up with all the attacks... Probably they'd rather die in the planet than escaping... there must be some great hatred against the incompetent queen... Even so, he can't let her hanging. After once again preparing himself, he dropped the bomb.
"...Earth has been destroyed. I'm very sorry to inform you that. The Demons did it. I was there myself so... I can confirm. I was there to rescue some friends off, offered some lift to willing humans, but not many take it. I guess that's because I'm a "tailed bastard" as they put it... but regardless, I was unable to save many. The chose it themselves, I can't do anything... To make matter worse, I lose some of my friends there, so I can't say my boss is too happy about this development. So after hearing all of this, what do you want to do?"
She quriked her brow, as the boy seemingly had something to say about Earth, and none of it positive. She didn't budge from her position, however, intent on hearing what stories or tales had transpired on her homeworld since her long departure from it. She folded her arms as she heard the tales of the Remnants, figuring as much that he had to be some 'renegade' Saiyan, and although his people seemed intent to help, there was likely more than a few issues in their conduct that presumably had the leader of Earth turn on them. Destruction to property, disregard for human welfare, considerable collateral. She'd seen that Saiyans, despite their intent on 'beating the bad guys', often overlooked the little people in their lives. Part of her drive in life was to find the means to protect people from both 'heroes' and 'villains' alike. She didn't speak up or interrupt though, listening on. She nodded to the idea of visiting the Guru, as that was likely the one who'd see to her stay here. She less of an idea as to Namekians, compared to her lessons on Saiyans, so this would be all new to her. But upon hearing she'd have nowhere left to go?
Her expression flattened. She blinked a few times. Refugees? Queens? Bris? All of this was completely unknown knowledge to her. The boy was talking to her like a journalist reporting the news, but it was all a very confusing series of events to follow. All she could glean was that a lot of people had died in an evacuation, or so she figured. A terrible outcome. She inhaled and gulped a little, the sudden thought that her parents may have been among those refugees and supposedly killed on this Planet Bris. Her lips parted a little, as he continued on. Mentions of East City gave her a moment of respite in this tense explanation, as she lived there all her life. It meant her parents were surely alright. Surely?
Then he finally dropped the last point. Earth had been destroyed by the demons. She'd heard of those before, in myth and lore. He'd notice her hands clenching around her arms, as she felt a few sparks of anger at the thought. "Whatever happened to all those... legendary heroes that're supposed to have been protecting us? The kind that always show up in the history books and beat the bad guys before it all goes to crap?" she said, outright and through clenched teeth. "Or those 7 balls that the books spoke about, that grant wishes? Why'd nobody use them to save the planet?" She was emotional, out of touch with her home, so there was little reason for her to have known such things didn't come to pass for whatever reason. She trembled, realizing her parents were dead. All her friends were dead. Her planet was likely ashes.
She slumped to the ground, eyes trembling, struggling against tears. The worst realization finally struck her. Her greatest amibition in life was to protect those too weak to stand against people like this Saiyan, or the Demons, or any other alien threats that looked Earth's way. But now Earth was gone? What would she even do with herself?... She gave the Saiyan an answer, but her tone was far from content. "I don't know now. I wish I'd been on Earth when it happened, been able to do something about it. I was ready to dedicate my future to building things to protect my home from... fighters. But now it's all gone. What would I even do."

He noticed her expression changed at the mention of East City. "...Lived here? Yeah, me too, before all the stupid stuff happened to me. I never knew I was a half Saiyan, all I know I was bullied for being 'tribe people'. and one day just... boom. apparently some Demon attacked East City. People already taken refuge then, but... my life gone upside down that day."
Although on talk about the hero, Beat just chuckled derisively. "...Heroes? There are no heroes. Heroes are just label someone put on 'the strong people' because they want to be saved. Heroes are those who burdened by expectation of being 'the last hope'. Be it a small clan, a village, a city... or an entire planet. Heroes are like sacrificial lamb. When people saw heroes, they only saw last hope, but I wonder if these heroes never seen those people as burden instead? Perhaps their moral compass is too shaped based of what society want... but in the end, if there are heroes, those heroes probably perished with the planet. Those seven thingys? As far as I know those exist...ed." He had to put a bit emphasis on that "...But as long as there is no Namekian on Earth, or no Kami for that matter, those seven balls will stay inert. Unfortunately apparently demons also looking for these balls. I have no idea what's the big idea, but all in all, they apparently did a mass genocide of people and wanting to revive them all or something in one full sweep after the genocide is over. Don't ask me how it works. But at any rate, it's over now."
He really don't want her to hear about the Dragon Ball of this place... he really don't want any survivor of Earth to be desperate and attempt to hunt for the balls and worsen the diplomacy and relations between the Remnant Alliance and the Earth people. He would rather not have the planet revived, then destroyed again, or occupied by the demons, because fuck them. The 'reset button' will not fix anything. If anything, it would just make it worse. All those sacrifice for nothing...
"...And what would you do if you was there? Would it change anything?" Beat retorted. His tone might be barbed, but at the same time, it filled with self hatred. "...The thing called 'future' only can be changed by those who are alive. You can't change past, but you can change future. That sort of luxury and chance is only owned by those who lived. If you're there, you think you could survive the planet? Make some difference? That's nothing but arrogance and empty talk," that tone, it doesn't feel that he directed it to her, but to himself. "...In the end, fate will side to those who prepare and train and self improve even in time of peace. Mortals are creature that cling to what they perceive as 'their time of peace'. Unfortunately, we took it for granted and never really tried to protect our own peace before it was too late. And when the time came for war, who would we fault? The invader? The heroes? We have no one but ourselves to blame."
Her gaze shot up suddenly, meeting with his once more. Though there were tears streaking down them, her eyes seemed empty and cold for once. A girl formerly lively and happy, reduced to sadness by one kid even younger than her. She didn't even know what to think, besides frustration at what Beat had just been telling her. All his talk seemed so downtrodden and hopeless that in truth, it made her go full circle. "I could have done SOMETHING. I can invent things nobody could've imagined, I can build things out of stuff nobody would ever consider... I'm sure I could've helped defend the planet with my own efforts. Even if it meant saving a few more lives." she said, her tone as cold as her gaze. She was not in the mood to be spoken down to by a child, and slowly, her drive was building. She got up from her position on the tree, patting herself down and wiping her eyes of tears already. "And that's what I plan to do still. I can't be the only Earthling left. So I'll protect who's left." she concluded. She was ignorant of Beat's subtle self-deprications.
"Every life is worth a thousand. Save one and you can save more." she quietly recited. She looked at Beat with a little scorn now. "There's nothing arrogant and empty about wanting to help others. Wanting to protect them from dangers they couldn't hope to compete against. I can't fight like those martial-artists my uncle told me about can. I can't even manipulate ki. But I can sure as heck work science to my bidding and save people through that instead." she stated, this time directly to him. Her fists were clenched, and despite remembering his warnings from earlier, she moved away from the tree. She approached her damaged shuttle and with a swift kick to the side of it, a panel flung open, revealing a manner of machinery, both damaged and undamaged parts all tanged up in wires. Pulling open a pouch on her belt, she pulled one intricate engineering tool out and dug into the mess of cabling. She didn't make it clear what she was doing, but she clearly had intentions.

"That's what I call arrogance," Beat interjected. "'I could have done something', 'I could build something', 'I could make a change'. But in truth, it's just your way to comfort yourself at this sort of situation. Face the reality. In earth there should be tons and tons of bright minded people. The Queen issued an order to refuge on Bris. In that situation if you are there, and you saw what those guys did to people from the north and south, what would you do? Then let's just say whoever you care in east city would survive, then suddenly without warning the demon attacked... what would you feel? It's disaster one after another, you think you even got the luxury to build something that could repel a full invasion with nothing but JUNK? From the rubble and dust and scrap metals from East City's destruction? From the barren North? From the man-eating plant infested South? Or from the West? This is what I call arrogance. CC Corps is there, I don't believe an individual can achieve something a full company cannot achieve. If you would build a ship, sure, that's good I guess... but to build something that stops invasion dead on track? You're just being delusional. You know what, when the invasion happened, all communication from outside the planet to inside is cut. No SOS signal could even get through. I tried, it's impossible."
This girl, she's so out of her mind that it hurts. To think that she has lost her logical side... it's getting more and more annoying for Beat. His red eyes looking at the girl with scorn. Was it because his own personal feeling mixed? Is it because something else?
"Yeah, you can't be. I managed to rescue about thirteen people. They're all under me. But it all stood the same. Those people lost their hope. Their queen incompetent, disaster struck them over and over again. What makes you think they would want to leave their home, when their family no longer there? When their home no longer there? When the only planet where they can go to is to here, in place where THESE BASTARDS WITH TAIL, WHO TRIED TO HELP THEM SEVERAL TIMES ONLY TO BE SPAT ON THE FACE MANY TIMES, LIVES!?"
In frustration, he punched a tree. Not only it broke, it literally shattered to splinters from his strength. His tone getting more and more livid as it goes. But then, he noticed his mistake.
"...Sorry, I gone too far. I already tried to go around. To the east, to the south, to the north... no one wants my help... no one. Even though I said I would shelter them, that I would go against the order of my boss from how many times he was spat on the face trying to help Earth. I even said that I used to live on Earth... but because of my tail no one would even trust me, and even if they would, they just... too tired. No one would like to leave their home. In the end, they perished in where they was... Their home. You think I haven't tried? If you're really that smart, then use your logic, You can't achieve anything there. What you can do is to move forward."
While Beat considered her own actions to be beyond logic, she considered his own rantings to be... selfish, self absorbed. He focused entirely on his own failure, and much like the Saiyans she'd heard about, failed to consider the people who'd lost their lives. I did this, I did that, but I failed. She could hear the shards of what remained of his pride. She didn't see it like that, and continued to dig through the innards of the ship, pulling cables out and extracting parts here and there, leaving them beside her. She finally paused as the Saiyan finally did as they do, and unleashed their anger, obliterating the tree she was previously stood beside. She waited until the sound of its splinters and shards finally faded before pulling her head out from her work. "If the tail was always such a concern for people, why not just hide it then?" she asked flatly, but didn't turn to address him. She'd grown a little tired of all this whittling talk, as he tried to talk her down from her major motivation. While she channeled her mourning and loss into drive, he seemed to only steep it into anger. She reached inside the ship to grab a particular device, an off-shaped cube with a few wires hanging off it.
The boy apologized for his outburst, but she only gave him a cursory glance, as he began to explain more of his personal issues to her. When he finally started saying something remotely profound, she turned. "I am moving forward. It's just fighters like you don't recognize progress when you're not punching it to the ground." she snarked, her mood toward him becoming quite clear. She began to tool around with the devices she'd surrounded herself in. The tool in her hand seemed to enable a multitude of basic engineering functions, like bolting, welding, sawing and such. Releasing the panel she'd kicked open, she seemed to slap together something. Connecting tube like devices to the panel, the cube to the base, and attaching wires to various points. It took her no time at all to assemble what may have looked like some classical era shield, of a time long forgotten. With her tool, she sparked at one of the tubes she'd attached, giving it a jump start.
A blue lattice began to form over the battered panel. She'd managed to make herself a rudimentary shield from the scrapped remains of her ship. She smiled, as the device seemed to work, in spite of numerous sparks and fizzes coming from parts of its construction. "3 minutes, 26 seconds. No problem." she said, apparently keeping score of her time during building it. "If it works, make it better. You don't need a damn fist or a ball of pure energy to win fights..." she went on. She hoisted the shield up, recoiling as it sparked a little near her face. "Just the will to guard those who may not be able to face such threats."

"If you hid it and those people think they're being led, what then? I was there because I want to make them know that I'm there for peace, to move them somewhere, to give them chance to fix the two planet's relationship. But all of that then rejected. Then what else should I even do? What if I revealed that I got tail in the end? Would they even trust me then? I move based on the fact of mutual trust. I bare the truth to them, it's up to them to follow me or not. They didn't, so in the end, I can't save anyone."
Though, her answer made him a bit cross. "...Excuse me, that just saying as if I'm only caring about physical progress is totally wrong. You think I wouldn't care about my intelligence progression? About diplomacy between planets and whatnots? About all sort of possibility that technology can achieve? ...This is why I can't stand people who think they're smarter than the rest... all you can think of us are just apes that unable to understand basic stuff after seeing that sort of performance... I'm just saying that you could achieve much more together than alone. Fine, whatever. Looks like you already decided your route. I guess I can give you a bit more push or option. If you're that smart then I guess I can give you something to do after all.
Do you know Galactic Patrol? Currently they're our boss, we're contracted to them. As you heard before, Earthling cannot enter the Saiyan Citadel, which unfortunately where the trades are at the moment in Namek. It's not quite a metropolis, but at the very least it's the most technologically advanced place in here. However, should you show your merit to the Galactic Patrol and joined their rank, there's always a possibility for you to be granted access. You can find whatever you need there. Raw materials, latest technology. I guess it wouldn't be too off to call it a hub of planets in this quadrant, especially because Namek lacked the resources. As long as you carries the name "Earth", you cannot really enter the citadel... But what about "Tetra of Galactic Patrol"? I think you'll be accepted more. I got connection there, in Galactic Patrol I mean. If you want, I can introduce you to them, although I don't really know how dependable she is... But at the very least I have seen enough, you'll do good."
As Beat went on with his ramblings, focusing entirely on his own misgivings about the situation, Tetra was rallying up her responses. 'You can easily hide what people dont want to see,' she thought. If the tail was such a point of contention, then hide it from them. Sometimes people let the opinions of their leaders guide them, instead of founding their own ideas. She dwelt on how her rulers tended to say things and expected humans to listen. It was supposed to be the basis of government, but it never worked out perfectly. If the kid just kept the tail stowed away and helped people anyways, they wouldn't've said no as easily as he'd been claiming. It would've been a lie, but it was a selfless lie, that'd allow him to help others without stigma. But it was clear to Tetra that someone who thought with their fists would never understand.
He then began to rebuke what she'd said earlier. Once again, her thoughts turned to the things her parents told her. Discouraging her from fighting like martial-artists and warriors do. It wasn't the noble sport the history books claimed it was, people didn't practice it to better themselves. They practiced it so they could slug it out in World Tournaments and try and one-up one another in peace time. And so they could become blood thirsty berserkers in the face of a bigger threat, always looking for a way to challenge their strength. All this time, she'd been tooling with her makeshift shield a little. Repositioning wires, adjusting connections and electrodes. She'd even coiled some wires around her arm to give her some kind of handle to slot her arm into. The shield was glowing a little brighter, as she stood up, brandishing the shield in front of her like a noble protector.
She turned to him, ready to offer her rebuke to everything he'd said, but it seemed he was adamant in trying to direct her. She didn't know of the Galactic Patrol per se, but she knew of some manner of 'space police' in the galaxy. The thought of being a space cop was pushed onto her by the monkey boy. She definitely couldn't be the image of a front line officer, knowing they'd often turn weapons on criminals and fire at any possibility of retaliation. That was much too violent. But maybe the Galactic Patrol had the means to avoid killing criminals. Policing the galaxy didn't entirely align with her ideals of building tech to protect planets, but it certainly served as a start, and in hind-sight, she had no means to an end. Her uncle would be coming after her soon, and she had no more resources than the crashed ship she'd stolen. If she wanted to go anywhere, she'd need a start.
She put her reservations about this kid aside for now. He was a brute and focused on his accomplishments, clearly, but he was the one making the offer so she bit her lip. She stood tall for a moment and made the address. "As long as they don't intend on me building weapons, then that's probably a good idea for me." she stated simply, offering up her sole term.

...This girl, for some reason she's irking him more and more. Already, the moment he bit her lips, Beat attempted so hard to not roll his eyes. But the moment she said her term, he just sighed, a looong sigh. "...Girl, Galactic Patrol is not some mindless, warmongering people trying to force you making weapons. They're... they'll benefit more with weapons that could stun and let them apprehend criminals. They stop interplanetary slavery for example, or black market trade. Why would they ask you to build weapons to harm? Why would they tell you to make something you don't want to make? Does specialization ring a bell? Does ethic means nothing? Can't you ask them to put you in R&D for protective suits and whatnots instead of weapon development? Do you think they would kill or harm people willy nilly? In your mind do you think everything in this galaxy divided between the violent ones and those that are pacifist? Like... oh, boy..." This girl, the more he talked with her, the more it ended up him looking at her like a sheltered prissy kid that knows nothing and labels everything in black and white. Well, the more he felt irked, the more he wanted to give up directing this girl anywhere. This girl is too much of a book smart that closed in her own opinion in his mind.
"You know what, if this is how I'm going to be treated, I guess I'm giving up. if goodwill means nothing to you, then I guess I should've known that I should give up from a moment ago. I'll be leaving your ship here, and maybe wish you goodluck. You could survive anyway, right? There's no benefit in it for me, I guess. Why should I bother?" Finally, he stood up and speak to his communication device. "Beat's here, situation under control. There's no need for backup. I'm going to return to the base, over."
With that, the boy started to walk away, sighing deeply. He wanted to at least give someone from the same planet something to do, just like the rest, but clearly this one was far too lost in her mindset of black and white. This is why he starting to feel like xenophobic peoples cannot be saved at all. Although, if the girl would call him he'll give her one last chance. Clearly as far as they go, they cannot communicate at all.
Though she offered up willingness, this... brat seemed to continue engrossing in himself. She began to lose faith in the idea of joining the Galactic Patrol if emotionally damaged and self-absorbed kids like this were inducted into it. It was clear he wouldn't sympathize and so, neither would she. She shook her shield-arm once, the shield fizzling out from some means, while Beat offered up his final barrage of questions, which were clearly ordered to try and prompt her to think about herself or to crush her ideolgy. But there was nothing feasably wrong with wanting to not make weapons, so the kid's freakout seemed a little overbearing. More and more she lost the desire to work with the Galactic Patrol, and instead try and seek some better alternative. Making her own path, meeting up with her fellow Earthling survivors, wherever they may be. Anything, as long as it was away from this kid and his attitude. Worse still, if the Saiyans themselves were based here, it would only be a mtter of time before they decided to kick off, or something came knocking.
She stared him down as he made his return call to his base, but she didn't make a response. She didn't want to humour him. Dislodging her shield from her arm, she placed it back beside the ship and began working inside her ship again, pulling out more components to hopefully utilize in her future works. She had better things to consider now, and intentions she planned to follow through, instead of being pushed into a potential fight by self righteous kids with more muscle than brain.
