He was quite intrigued by the ruins he would find, almost as if some sort of big alien ship had landed on this place and took its tools on it, leaving a scar that would mark it forever. It was funny that whenever Sai thought of a scar he would instinctively touch upon his left cheek, even though it was a perfectly normal cheek. It was almost as if it was suppose to mean something, or have something in there that held some significance to the boy, but he had no idea as to what. In any case, he was just exploring the place while Beat told him to lay low, no matter how much power he could sense and he did sense some clashes of overwhelming energy, some of which seemed to be oddly familiar to him. He had to fight against his urge to go and see what it was all about, but he owed Beat that much respect and therefore, he resisted.
But in order to be at peace, he had to keep himself busy and that was why he was constantly training. Training was something he could do for hours and feel some immense pleasure to it. It was second nature to him and he felt a sense of fulfillment, especially now that he could see his control over his body to be improving at a fast pace. The training was indeed being worth it and Beat's assistant was shown to be paramount to his growth; he felt really indebted to that boy and he had not only Sai's respect, but his loyalty, no matter the circumstances. Even if he had indeed lived another life, like his friend suggested, he was his own person now and the allegiances from before would never cloud the allegiances from now, or so he currently believed.
Little did he know that, despite what he believed, his power was still high enough and capable of attracting people towards him. Before, with the clash of titans going on, he was hidden, but now that peace ensued, he was like a lighthouse attracting people as he threw punches and kicks to the air, trying to force himself to evolve.
Letti's time on Namek was okay, to say the least. While she had been adopted by Sigma, encountered Callahan again and then trained under Luffa. She was gaining confidence albeit slowly, she still had a long road ahead of her and she was looking forward to every second of her experiences. She was hovering above the ground just smiling at the beauty of Namek, she had enjoyed her stay on the planet but still had to meet someone that was going to be her friend other than Sigma or Callahan.
Although she had met Miso and Luffa, she felt as if they were her superiors and not friends persay. But maybe she could happen upon a friendship with them at some point in her life. But as of right now she was just a child... but a strong one at that. She needed more strength though, she sensed a Ki signature and looked at where it was coming from and immediately began to fly straight there.
"I wonder who that is. Maybe they are like me! I hope it is. I would love to meet another Saiyan again! She shouted to herself and forced herself to speed up
He was so focused on his training that it took him a while to notice a considerable energy signature approaching. When he finally did notice, he stopped his kick in the middle of the attack and moved his head towards the source of the energy. It felt like it was high enough to be considered someone with actual combat training, but way too low to be one of the people involved in that clash of titans from before. Sai wondered if it was a native from this planet, or maybe one of Beat's friends, coming to summon him. He was still a bit sweaty from all his training, but he decided to just wait there for this person who was approaching.
After a few seconds he could already see the person in the horizon and from the looks of it, it was a girl. She looked to be about his age and she did have a tail, revealing she was a fellow saiyan. Sai cracked a simple smile on his face and started waving his hand to this girl. He wasn't sure if she was heading his way because of his energy signature, or if she was just traveling by and hadn't really noticed him. In any case, he decided he wanted to make sure she would be noticing him.
She was getting close to that Ki signature she felt and giggled in glee. It was at that moment when she saw someone wave and throw their arms about like they were dancing badly. Letti blinked a few times in disbelief, was that person having a wavy body day. She floated down to the ground, still giggling at this person before hiding her mouth with her hand and smiled gleefully. He looked silly when doing that and that was what made Letti laugh. The first time she had laughed in a while but it was a breath of fresh air for Letti.
But she focused her attention on this person, he was small like her, practically the same height. She gave him a thorough inspection. It seemed he was a Saiyan due to his tail. She went down on her hands and knees, looking at his footwear, noticing every detail about them. She even tapped his shoes a little before standing back up a little before sniffing his hair. She then attempted to lift up his top to see if he had any battle scars on his body. WC: 202 TWC: Base PL: 30,911 Transformed PL: Health: - Stamina:3/3 Tech Used:
In answer to his wave, the girl made way to where he was. She looked to be about the same age as him and they both had the same height. It was a bit refreshing to see another person that was close to his age and that made him crack a small, yet honest smile, but that smile quickly vanished as the girl dropped down to the four limbs and started examining Sai in a very weird way. "W-what are you doing?" he asked. The girl seemed to be having fun as she was giggling and then she began to tap his shoes, making him take a step backwards, feeling a bit eerie about this whole thing. It only got even more weird when she started sniffing his hair and then, out of the blue, she lifted his gi enough so she could see his whole torso.
"W-whoa!!" he exclaimed as he leaped backwards, putting some decent distance in between them. Sai wasn't angry, but he was undoubtedly shocked. His cheeks were blazing red with her action and he was unsure on what to think. In answer to what she was seeking, his torso had no scars. As a matter of fact, his skin was very soft and clear, almost as if he had little to no battle experience. The skin of a baby in a sense. "W-what is the big idea?!" he asked, in disbelief.
Letti's smile and laugh vanished when was she finally aware of her actions and gasped in horror at what she just did to him. She leaped back and bowed her down slightly before looking at him again. She had done that on autopilot and was disgraced by what she had done. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to freak you out. I apologise very very much!". It was true that she didn't mean to do that, it was just a spur of the moment thing to inspect someone of her age, some random impulse she had.
She stepped back a little to give him the distance he needed to show that she wasn't going to try that again. She was just happy to see one of her age or close to it. "I wish I hadn't done to you. But aside from that, my name is Letti Palmer of the Saiyan Galatic Kingdom!". She said cheerfully trying to forget that ordeal that just happened. She was still a bit away from him to attempt to show him that she wasn't willing to do that again. She smiled innocently to further state her point on that matter. She just hoped he wouldn't run away from her or escape. What if he thought she was some insane child. Some lunatic. A creep. She just kept those thoughts locked inside of her mind as she lowered her hands to her side as she still stood where she was.
At the very least she seemed to have gotten back into her senses and was now apologizing for the eerie attitude from earlier. Sai watched her with suspicion while he tucked his shirt once again in his pants, so he could look somehow presentable, while he listened to her words. "Okay I suppose..." he said, still unsure if she was about to do something weird again, but apparently she was normal now and that was a relief. There was some safe distance in between them and Sai finally relaxed a bit more, resting both his hands on his hips as the girl introduced herself. Sai had heard a few things about the two current factions of the saiyans, and apparently this girl was from the faction that rivals Beat's own and so he thought to himself he should be wary of her before she revealed more about herself and her intentions.
"I'm Sai. I don't really belong to any group, though." he said with a neutral tone. "But you are the first person from this Saiyan Kingdom that I've met." he added. Her smile seemed nice enough, but he wasn't sure on how to feel and suspicion was still written all over his face, but now he was giving her a chance. "So... What are you doing around these parts? I've heard they were quite isolated and that people hardly ever came around here..." he asked. Beat told him as much and Beat was supposed to know about Namek rather well and yet, this was the second person he found while camping in this area.
"I just wanted to travel around Namek. It looks nice, doesn't it? Well, some of it... Although I did sense an energy so great it pushed me back even from where my home was. I have a home with someone named Sigma."
Letti explained while turning her back and just wiped a couple of tears from her face. She had been through a lot on her time on Namek but she was toughing it through, even though she was just a child. She had also accomplished a lot during her time on Namek though and that was the main thing for her. Despite that, here she was with a child about the same age as her. And she had just freaked him out with her crazy first impression. That was why she was keeping her distance while talking with Sai. It was the first time she had some time to herself just to relax and speak her mind.
Apparently that sudden move from hers was just something weird and she was actually pretty normal right now. Of course he didn't lower his guard yet, but he was more at ease. He shrugged a bit when she mentioned Namek looked nice as he was basically living in the ruins of the world. "I guess..." he said with a tone lacking in conviction. He didn't find it pretty, he found it rather boring and with the same colour and, even though he didn't feel attached to Earth, it did look way better and more interesting than this place, but he would rather keep those thoughts to himself; he didn't want to be ungrateful towards the place that was taking in his homeless self.
When she mentioned she had a home with this person called Sigma, he scratched the back of his head and then pointed towards a simple tent nearby with just the very basic. "That's my home. For now at least." he said, without caring too much. He had no other reference for a home, so he wasn't really picky. And camping like that seemed almost second nature to him, though he couldn't exactly explain why. "And I was just training right now. I wanna know how to control my power so I don't hurt people." he let that out.
But what exactly did he mean by that? She would have to ask.
He had the same goals as her then, she didn't want to hurt anyone that was worthy of her mercy, she promised herself that she wouldn't kill the people that had captured her. She didn't want anyone to be hurt and now she was standing in front of someone that could possibly help her in protecting people. She smiled warmly as she looked down at the floor whilst turning back around to face him. She stepped a little closer to him and extended her hand, signifying that they could work together.
"I want to protect everyone I can too, Sai. Maybe if we work together it might be possible? What do you say?" She asked with a little sadness in her voice, which also made her voice tremble. She was a Saiyan, yes, but they feel emotion from time to time. She looked at his tent that he mentioned and turned her back at him.
"If you would like a place to stay. Sigma can help you if you want?" She offered, it was true, she thought that he needed a better place to stay than just a disposable tent. That's why she made that offer, her first act of kindness towards Sai.
Sai arched one of his eyebrows when the girl assumed he wanted to "protect everyone". The boy looked confused for a moment and scratched the top of his head. "I never said that. I don't really care about protecting everyone. I want to protect my friends and the ones I care for, but that's about it. I don't feel responsible for anyone else, if that makes any sense... I just... I don't think I care that much..." he admitted even though he didn't quite know why he lacked empathy towards others. It almost felt like the alien races didn't have a place deep into his heart, or maybe it was because he had no place to call home and he had trouble feeling attached to people and to places. Who knows? In any case, he folded his arms and shook his head. "I don't know how we could work together right now, but maybe we can figure it out after some time..." he said in an uncertain tone.
As for a place to stay, Sai looked back towards the tent he was calling his temporary home and he chuckled, cracking a smile. "I don't know this Sigma person, but I don't really mind my tent! It feels quite comfortable and familiar in a sense, so I suppose I was used to living in these conditions, hehehe!" and his tone became a bit more carefree. "But you... I'm not really good with people, but you feel conflicted. Don't you have a place to call home? You mentioned you are part of a Kingdom of some sorts. Maybe a Kingdom of saiyans. I heard something about it from Beat." he mentioned with a thoughtful expression as he tried to recall the exact words his friend said.
Letti listened to him as she nodded periodically, and then after he had finished speaking she just looked at him in deep thought. She was sure an actual bed was much better than just a tent, surely the bugs would find their way into the tent... she shivered that was showing she was grossed out by sleeping under the stars. After she finished shivering, she spoke.
"Don't you mind the bugs... and other stuff? Well, it's your choice to stay in that thing. Yes, I do have a home in the Saiyan Kingdom but I prefer to stay with Sigma. I sort of left a bad impression on my initiation. But still, I just hope I can enough skill and power to protect Sigma. You said you would like to protect people you care for... this Sigma person is someone I care for. She's cool in a way. Although a complete math nerd. But I like it!" She finished speaking and then turned her back for a moment before fixing her hair and then turned back to face Sai.
"I don't mind the nature at all, it feels natural... You know? Well... Maybe you are a city girl! I can see that from your clothes! Hehe!" he said in a joking tone as he rubbed his index finger under his nose, chuckling lightly. Then, as she explained what happened, he blinked twice, slightly confused. "Well... If you prefer to be with this Sigma person, why are you a part of this Kingdom? I don't know if I want to join any of these groups, so I'm just staying out of it for now. And I don't have any idea of what is this math thing you said, but sounds complicated! Hehehe!" and he seemed quite the simple boy when he spoke like that. Sai shrugged and then chuckled again, taking a few steps towards her. "But you seem alright. We may have started with the wrong foot, but I think it's past waters now, right?" he asked, suggesting they could be at a more friendly terms now, rather than the intense suspicion towards one another that was still kind of taking place with all the explanations and deep subjects.
Letti listened to him as he spoke again and smiled warmly as she took a step toward him. "Yes, it's past waters now. You know, you are the first person that's actually took time to speak to me. Since I've only just joined the group. I haven't had any time to relax and speak to people. I assume this will change in the next couple of years though... but it will be a long road. I'm sure of it. ". She said as she extended her hand towards him in order to shake his hand. Hopefully, this would be the start of a lengthy friendship between them both. But either one could never know, but regardless her first impression of Sai was a good one and that's why she would potentially be on good terms with him now.
Sai took her hand and shook it in a sign of friendship that was forming. He had a simple, yet gentle smile on his face and his eyes, despite his youthful look, looked much older, almost otherworldly. "It's really good to meet new people. But this group you joined... Don't you have any friends over there? I mean... I think a group needs to be a place with people we can trust and that can help us when we need..." he innocently asked her, still a bit confused with the statement that he was the first person to actually take his time to talk to her. It sounded odd... and sad.
