It had been two years since Kariko had ended up meeting Forserta and Dulce, and while the Crocolisk woman had enjoyed watching this derelict part of Namek be turned into a glistening centerpiece for some sort of Saiyan group, she was ready to move onto what she viewed as brighter pastures. She had already left her young adoptive kid Funi to her own devices as she packed her space pod up for the ride, and once she was done packing up her space pod, Kariko quickly entered the pod and closed the door. Moments later, before she could push the button to leave for space however, the hinges to the pod have ended up falling off.
"Ugh, blasted old pod. I really should get a new one when I get to Bris, but that would be way too expensive... Ugh, screw it, I need a space pod now, and I'll have to buy one here in that case."
Getting out of the space pod, Kariko grabbed Funi by the hand, before saying to her "Come on you little brat, I need your cuteness to get a good deal on a ship, so we can get to Bris."
"What did I say about you holding my hand..." As Funi said those words, she quickly tightened her grip from her part, causing the Crocolisk woman to let go of her hold from the pain she was receiving. Sighing a bit from still having to deal with the girl's dark tendencies, while also holding her own hand due to the pain, she turned back to see Funi already smiling again, already settling on her cute personality while giving a menacing feel to Kariko through her telepathy.
"Fine, I won't hold your hand, but this is serious, we actually do need a ship to get to Rosario. Now, do you wanna be seen as a second-rate citizen, or do you want to finally get some recognition in your life? Imagine, getting your own personal fortune, and a fleet of people at your beck and call? Doesn't that sound like a good life?"
"<You realize I can read your mind right? I know that your true aim is to just get rich then shove everyone else aside, and yet you still try to lie to me despite the fact that I read you like a book. To be honest, I should probably just kill you in your sleep then take off to space by myself, but where's the fun in that? Regardless though, I guess I'll go with you for this, but once we are at that cold planet your on your own there, at least when it comes to your own dirty little ideas of a empire. I'll still stay with you, but only for entertainment.>"
"Oh... jeez, that was really creepy, but thanks. Let's go." Walking around the space ports of Kyuri, Kariko mainly tried looking around for any ship that she could afford, while keeping a watch on Funi to make sure she would not lash out on other people. Continuing to look around, Kariko could eventually see what appeared to be a Kold Demon in the distance, and as she began to pull out her scouter to check the being's power level, she decided at the last second to put it down, to try to appear more civil while not getting a reading on the being's PL in the end.
"Hey, excuse me kind sir, but my name is Kariko, and I'm trying to move on my way to Planet Bris for some business ventures with my little daughter Funi now that we are done visiting the planet, and our ship ended up breaking down before we could leave, making us need to get a quick ride. Do you have any ship to sell so we can get on from this planet? Or do you need some travel as well?"
Zero was touring around, he had only been on Namek for a short time you see, and so he thought he'd set out and find out more about this place first hand. Of course, he was met with racism and hateful eyes, if he wasn't putting on such a show for Mac, he'd storm this village with hell fire, and burn them all to death. Such little insect of creatures daring to place judgement of a being much above them in every way possible. Still he played the part of the happy businessman who was happy to be here, and he was he had found someone he would like to convert to his party, someone strong enough to be a good training partner in the future. While Zero was out on his tours he knew that Echo would be arriving soon with his crew and his staff, apparently the namekians had a space port of sorts.
Zero figured he might as well check it out and see what the security was like, he didn't eel to safe about leaving his ship here, good thing there were capsules for such a thing. To his surprise however things looked fairly well kept and won them a bit of his respect. It was thing he heard someone call out. Looking over his shoulder he looked up to a blueish green skinned woman, she was asking about a ship for sell, or seeing if he was here looking for a way to travel as well, that wasn't what stroked him as an request, it was the name of the planet she was seeking to go to with the companionship of a what seemed to be human child. The kid was either adopted or the woman was lying, either way Zero couldn't care less about either of them at this point in time. "I do apologize Miss Kariko, I have nothing for sell nor am I seeking travel else where, I'm simply taking a look around before my friend arrives with a new ship for me. Much like yourself my original source of travel broke down, leaving me to seek out another. I found nothing here to my taste so I ordered from my home planet." He paused his speech to look over at the child then back to its mother. "Though your next choice of travel concerns me, surely you don't plan to bring a child to that planet of all places, not only is it a ruthless place but ma'am there's been conflict there for the past 2 years, it's simply not safe."
He wasn't sure if the woman was going there for business or what but unless she was about of one of the two sides of the conflict, she as going to get herself killed, and he didn't seek her answer out of care, but out of a curious mind to see why anyone would be willingly going there if not apart of either faction currently there. Before she could even answer he would bow his head. "Oh please forgive me, my name is Zero Ika."

"A conflict you say?" Upon hearing about a conflict that had happened on Bris, Kariko was a bit surprised upon the relevation, as she expected that Bris would have been untouchable due to being under control of some sort of empire. Regardless of the surprise however, Kariko mainly just sighed a bit, before seeing Zero give out his name in a form of respect.
Despite the news however, Kariko tried to remain regal, bowing a bit before saying to the Arcosian "I should probably give out our names too. My name is Kariko Iwa, and this is my daughter Funi. I adopted her after hearing that Earth had been destroyed so I could help preserve the human race, but unfortunately by the time I finished all the paperwork the planet somehow just reappeared out of nowhere. Regardless though I ended up keeping her since she ended up actually being very nice and kind."
Upon hearing that last part, Funi quickly glared at Kariko, causing the Crocolisk woman to shake a bit in fear before continuing to talk. "Well anyway, thank you for telling me about that apparent conflict on Bris, I really had no idea that any sort or conflict would actually happen on that planet. After all, the Arcosians were such a strong race, and if anyone did try to attack it, that they'd be able to at least lock them in a stalemate, if not kill them all outright. Still though, I've been planning this little business venture to Bris for this past month, and there is no turning back on this."
Continuing to think about what could have happened to Bris, Kariko looked up into the sky, thinking about the state of the universe as she saw various ships fly around in the air. Meanwhile, Funi had walked over to Zero, in a attempt to try to read his mind in order to validate his claim that he was getting a ship. At the last second however, Funi had noticed the large scale in difference between her power and Zero's power, and because of that fact, she decided against reading his mind.
Instead, Funi had ended up deciding to try to talk out with Zero while writing on a piece of paper, in order to learn more about the ship while Kariko continued to look into the sky. "You said you were getting a ship right? How much room will there be for the ship? Will there be enough room for me and mommy? Maybe we can ride together to Bris together?"
After she was done talking, Funi simply handed the Arcosian the closed slip of paper, before walking to Kariko and slapping her in her rounded thigh to get her out of her little trance. Snapped out of her thoughts, Kariko quickly turned to Funi before grabbing her by the arm and scolding her. Before she could get the chance to give out a bit of corporal punishment to her however, Kariko realized that she was still in a public place, and upon realizing this she put Funi down, before blushing a bit in fear. OOC: Zero, should you open the paper, this is what it will say.
"I will give you 1,000 Zeni per person if you get both me and my mother Kariko off of this planet and on to Bris. I don't really care on going there, but Kariko really has her eyes set on going there for some sort of chance to get crazy rich. I highly doubt it will work, but perhaps if you do accept this offer Kariko will allow you to be part in her scheme should she succeed. Like I said, I doubt things will go well, but I doubt you have any good ideas on what to do either, and this is probably your only chance to have a good life in this Universe, no matter how low of a chance it is."
Perhaps it was because he felt some connection to Bris that he knew that information, he didn't know too much just there was something happening. His main concerns were on Planet Frosty, his homeworld, and where his business currently was. The woman went on about how the human girl was adopted, and then she said something interesting, Earth had been blown up and then now it had appeared. Perhaps it was some sort of time reversing technology Capsule Corps was working on or something else. The reason behind this did spark a curious flame indeed. "Ah I see, how odd indeed. Well, the important thing is you two found each other and have made a bond." He said smiling as he placed his hands behind his back. It was here the child would walk up to him and ask him a question. "Well I told my friend I wanted a ship that was fit for me, thus I'm sure it would have enough room for you two."
Zero did not want to go to Bris, screw that place, he was a businessman, not a fighter and there was no money in going there to die. Taking the paper he opened it up and look to the little girl, just what was she truly? Making a promise of 1,000 zenni per person, from a child this was crazy. He folded the paper up and placed his hands back behind him. "I understand you have Business there, but I simply don't have the interest to go there and die." His hues looked towards the small human with a grin, "I'm the CEO of a large company in the outer worlds, I only came to the core world for a visit, there are far too many things going on out here for me to want to stay. After all, I can make money if I'm dead."
This was his way of giving the human his answer, he looked back to the blue woman and smiled. "I'm sorry, I wish I could help truly, but that's far too dangerous. Besides, I haven't heard from my friend in some time to see when he will be arriving with the delivery. It could take a while. Now If you sought to go elsewhere, then I would likely consider bringing you there of course. "
As Kariko and Funi both listened to Zero, the former had ended up being disappointed and sad by the news from Zero that he wouldn't take her to Bris, while the latter mainly just shrugged off the response rather nonchalantly. Still thinking about what to do, Kariko sighed a bit, before standing completely still to think a bit, in order to think of a solution to the problem before her. Meanwhile, Funi mainly just walked around a bit, before flying up to the Arcosian again, and started speaking to the Arcosian.
"Kind of meant the offer to be discreet, was kind of using the paper to make it that way, but fine. Now, Kariko really did adopt me, I have the papers to easily prove that, but just between you and me, I'm only living with her because she's sort of like a little shield for me. As long as I live with her, I can easily hide behind her power, and do as much twisted crap as I want. She may be stronger than I am, but if things were in reverse she'd be my minion by now, or something even worse."
"And don't worry about Kariko hearing about any of this, when she's thinking like this there's only two ways to get her out of her mind, and that's either physical contact, or with money. Watch." Grabbing a fat stack of Zeni hidden in her dress, Funi waved it in front of Kariko, holding it there until Kariko noticed it and quickly grabbed the cash, now done with thinking.
Turning back to Zero, Kariko eventually mustered out something to say, saying to the Frost Demon "So you won't take us to Bris then? Hmm... Well there is one other thing I can think of. We could follow you to one of these outer worlds and get a ship from there, and then once I come back from Bris with all the deals I get from there, I'll be sure to share the money with you, in a 50/45/5 share. I'd get the 50%, you'd get 45%, and Funi gets the remaining Zeni as just for beauty purchases only, and if I see her using that money for anything else, it will go to you instead."
"Or you could just use the money to buy a planet or gravity machine if you wanted to, not like anyone wo-"
"Just. For. Beauty. Purposes. Okay Funi? I may want the former, but you just need to pay for beauty supplies for yourself." As Kariko said those words, she made sure to emphasize each word as it's own sentence for the first bit while talking to Funi. While Funi ended up giving Kariko a glare, the Crocolisk woman mainly ignored her, turning her head back to Zero while thinking about how he had ended up mentioning a business.
Eventually, after a bit, Kariko said to Zero "Also, from how you said it's too dangerous I can assume your company is in need of a bit of protection from the Universe right? Well I too have my own profession, although it's just in selling things to gullible people and making a profit from it. Perhaps we can do a bit of a merger, where we can both take shifts in both running the resulting company and protecting it. I'm not that skilled in a actual fight, but when it comes to trickery, deception, and straight up manipulation I am your girl, and often times I find that simple words can win fights more than punches."
What an odd pairing, this was surely one for the books. A story he could tell his co-workers about. His vacation on namek and those he ran into, this was a good reminder of why he shouldn't ever leave the free space area. It seemed like the woman was just a face for this kids actions and desires, while it did seem like the adult woman had her own goals and objectives in life, the human child was the one trying to broker a deal with him. Perhaps she didn't sense the subtle way he answered her question and assumed he made it too open. What was he to do? She was a child after all. Looking at the small human child she obviously had psychopathic thoughts, trying to pay a stranger to bring them to a world even he wouldn't set foot on let alone she just admitted to a stranger how she used the adult blue-skinned woman as a shield, she was 11 yet was trying to plan things like some type of business tycoon. The thought of killing her here did cross his mind however, he did have an image to portray. Zero couldn't very well go out and kill a child like this without someone seeing or hearing the way she was acting, that would make them even more fearful of his presence, and rune his fun with Mac. "Yes, well I think I can arrange a travel to free space, I'd be heading back there myself. I'm in the middle of setting up a business arrangement, no payment will be needed of course." Sending them into space would be a good way to handle them before they cause problems but perhaps they could be useful in other adventures. For now, he'd keep them at arm's reach and see how they acted when no one was looking.
There was an offer for 45% of the take on their business deal, a hefty amount of a cut for simply bringing them to free space, the offer was for to good to be true, which is why he declined payment, it would also give him an out with the authorities if they were up to illegal actions that would bring unwanted trouble to him and Echo's arrangement. Without taking payment for this he could pass his action as just trying to help a single mother out and her small child, surely to get them to a better place where they could make a life for themselves. Zero took note of the woman's lack for her surroundings, she was either really dull or a typical hired hand trying to make the big bucks on her own. Still, something was not sitting right with him when it came to these two. "So then, once everything is in order I will seek you out. I think my friend should be arriving within a week or so. Does this time framework for you two?" He asked after the woman made it clear to the child she was to buy beauty supplies only, which also seemed odd that she was so forceful for beauty products. He wasn't too sure why she was stressing it so much but it was clear to him something was wrong in both of their heads.

"Yeah, that seems like a pretty good deal, though are you sure you don't need payment once we are able to get that deal? I'm a woman of my word, and I think if we work with each othe-"
"Shut up mommy, he said he needed no pay!"
Turning her head back down to Funi, Kariko slapped her palm onto her hand, before kneeling down a bit to whisper to Funi. "Look I know that Funi, but I still feel like we should at least pay him for taking us to a place where we can get to Bris. Besides, even if we don't get a good deal, we can at least use your cuteness to earn some sort of money to pay him. Besides, if we pay him there will be incentive for him to help us more, and we could even start something really big business-wise, like that old Planet Trade Organization."
"I am not going to be cute to a whole planet just for some cheap Zeni earnings Mom. Besides, I bet that if a conflict happened there, than the planet will probably just be empty and bare, just like what happened to Earth before it suddenly reappeared."
"Look, just trust me Funi. I know what I am doing. I have plans for running the greatest company in the Universe, and I am not gonna let this chance go."
Turning back to Zero, Kariko bowed her head a bit in embarrassment. "So sorry for that, just had to talk to my little kid for a few seconds. Anyway, I will still try to hand you that 45% of the Zeni I earn from Bris once I can get there from where you drop me off, and I think we can meet up at the same planet you drop me off in a week or two once the deal is done, provided that none of us die before then. Now anyway, I guess now we should just wait for that ship of yours to arrive, though I have no doubt that it will take long.
Taking out four small capsules, Kariko opened the capsules to reveal what appeared to be a small table, complete with three seats, one for each of the three people. Sitting down on the seat with her somewhat rounded hips, Kariko made Funi pull out a mirror from her backpack so she could check her looks, and make sure she could apply a bit of makeup while waiting for the ship to arrive.
Beginning to apply makeup to her face, Kariko ended up saying to Zero "So Zero, what are your opinions on beauty, and I don't just mean beauty on a face like mine or any other ambitious woman out in space. I mean beauty in general, from the scenic looks of a interstellar landscape, or the beauty of love. I mainly just deal with facial beauty, but I often think about how to preserve the beauty of the worlds as well, such as removing any blemish to the planet such as a dangerous creature that could harm it. That is what I wish to offer Bris once I reach there, a way to help attract people to the beauty of the universe, while also getting some money on the side. This sort of dream I have even has a name, which I call the Narcissus Company."
"Now, of course in order to start something like that, I'll both need to remove some of the worse blemishes to this universe and make some money of my own to spend. I already have plans of the former, but for the latter I am debating on what to offer the people there before I give them my idea of a Universal tour of beauty. I'll probably do something with Funi to earn the money for spending on that beauty tour, but if that fails I got to have some sort of backup plan. Hmm... You said you had a business right? You mind telling me about that? Perhaps I could help with that sort of business if my plans on Bris fail?"
Did she really just pull a table out in a spaceport? Looking around a few people were looking at them now, it was embarrassing such a lack of edict. She had less common manners than the Namekians and they were rural farmers. As if he would take a seat here of all places. To add this on top of public behavior management. Who the hell raised this woman? Her cares seem to be in making money and offering a beautiful look on a planet, a fine business plan, but she lacked the professionalism. "Well that does explain why you picked to travel to Bris of all places, but I assure you it'd probably be better to start elsewhere. His arms were tucked behind his back under his cape, his hands balled into a fist, squeezing them to let some of his anger out all while giving a warm smile. "No need to apologize, raising a child must be difficult haha, father would of likely almost killed me for talking back." He said thinking back to it for a moment, it was his father's gift that landed him on Namek in the first place. "This only beauty in the galaxy I seek is power. I've already taken over my father's company and have several nightclubs throughout free space planets. As soon as my friend arrives I'm hoping to take a bit of a break enjoying one of them. His eyes followed her hand as she applied makeup to her face, another thing he didn't understand about this woman. She seemed rather obsessed with how she and the child looked.
Well then it's agreed, I shall find you when things are ready to depart. Until then please take care of yourselves Miss kariko and Lady Funi. Please have your Planet in Free Space chosen by then." With that Zero bowed, lowing his torso a bit before standing back up. He turned in a full 360 his cape lifting as he did so. His body would start to move towards the exit, once outside his body would emit a light pink aura as he lifted from the ground and flew off towards his mansion. He was eager to see what Mac had planned for when he arrived back.
Kariko 1,546 Zeni gain. The zeni shop isn't applicable, as the purchase was approved after the thread was created. And repeating what was stated in your shop thread, you're going to have to specify what this zeni shop is. It can't just be you walking around a ship dock that you don't own. You need to be and stay within somewhere.
