Usage of Monthly Kai Talisman: 2 uses left PL: 4000 (Masked to Saiyan) Somewhere near the native camp, there would be a saiyanness sitting on a sizable rock. Her complexion is not really all that different with a saiyan, neither is her tail. It's brown. Her hair also doesn't look all that different from any other either. However, her mannerism is perhaps the most striking. She for some reason does not have the aura of the ruggedness that Saiyans normally posses. Instead, she looked very calm and soothing. While her disguise appearance wise is very convincing thanks to several weeks of studying how a saiyan appearance looks like, she made a mistake with her mannerism, a strange way to show her inexperience. Speaking of which, as why this saiyanness appear here... it perhaps would be better to rewind to few hours ago.
Southern Kai planet, a newly appointed Kaioshin of the South just recently finished with her plans, her experiment, and her training. For now, she felt she's ready. The blue haired girl had asked permission from her senior about meeting a certain someone. She had the pleasure to meet this person in tournament of power. Unfortunately for her, and perhaps fortunately, she also met her end in the hand of this person. Well, past is past, present is present. She tried to remember how she sounded like prior to reincarnation.
<<Testing.>>
...for a few second she stopped, just like a girl who was nervous and had no idea what to even say to the other person.
<<...Sorry for the silence. This is Fusa... Warrior Tomina, I'd like to meet with you personally, both to thank you and to trade more views, if that is fine with you. I heard a lot has happened, and I'd like to confirm it myself. I asked you once about the path that you took... and that's why, I want to hear personally from yourself what have changed. If you don't mind, would you like to meet near Mognaian tribal village? The coordinates are...>> she would rattle off some numbers. <<...Unfortunately, due to the hostile nature of the planet, I would be forced to take a disguise. I hope you don't mind. That's why I told you the coordinate instead.>>
...Then again, she probably would have no idea that the disguise that the newly elected Kai used is not just 'pretending to be rock' or 'pretending to be iron', but instead completely looking like a saiyanness. She let the shapeshifting takes effect until there's almost no difference between her and normal Saiyan. Except probably the potara. She took it off and put it on her side pouch.
"Well then... Kai kai."
And that's when she immediately landed to the strange planet with more gravity. It's... burdening her body. As expected of Saiyans huh... Well then, she would just wait here... Hopefully she'll come soon. WC: 467

Tomina had come out to a very remote area on Yasai on a very strange telepathic message. It was from Fusa of all people. Sure, he was a good soul so him coming back wasn't that surprising. But he had come here to Yasai. Which was suicidal for someone of his size. Even if he hid his ki, he would have been noticed for sure. What's more, he sounded feminine even when speaking telepathically. It sounded different from the voice box she had heard before too. She had no idea what was going on, but she supposed she would find out.
Tomina made it there without any incident, touching down on the ground and flying in. She didn't look much different then she had two years ago. If one squinted one would see that she had grown maybe a foot. She looked around and saw the Saiyan just sitting there on the rock. She did a quick scan, but couldn't sense anyone else. She cuped a hand over a mouth, calling out to the Saiyan.
"Picked up a few new tricks since the last time I saw you?"
"Ah, there you are," she would greet Tomina. She slowly stood up and smiled. "I thought you'd think that I reincarnated as a saiyan or something," she admitted "but instead you thought that I learned new tricks? Well, not quite right, but not quite wrong either."
The Kai in disguise would immediately created a table, pair of chair, and afternoon tea set after sensing that most ki signatures around here are just the natives. "I did said that I wanted to chat with you over tea and cakes, but if you prefer something hard that's fine too. But first and foremost..." she took out her Potara earrings and showed it to the halfling. She would then wear it and undoed her shapeshifting. "Warrior Tomina, let me introduce myself again, this time under different name. I'm Chione of the South. Yasai is not under my jurisdiction, but I gotten permission from my senior to visit. It's complicated to face you like this, considering that I was indeed met my end on your hand, but on the other hand, you did have a hand on my revival as... this. I'm still haven't fully used to this new body. it's hard and when I trip and stumbles it hurts... Fleshy body is so frail in many way...
But that is not as important as the more pressing question. What happened to you after the entire Tournament fiasco? I only read about the report on what happened, but the full details of it I have no idea. You seem managed to restore your sister back to life, but... the extent of your wish, I did not thought that you would not ask for ultimate power. Instead you decided to bring the mortal level back up to a safe level that most likely would help us to avoid same case scenario for several decades... had it not for the Saiyan King doing the heart crushing on the Demon King. But I digress... What exactly happened? What makes you change your mind, about ruling the universe, about all the things you told me?"

What the hell was even going on? Tomina stared wide-eyed as Fusa’s form changed into that of a Kai. Her jaw dropped as he explained that he was now called Chione and that he had been reincarnated into a Kai. And he… or she rather had conjured a table out of nowhere. Tomina thought she had seen it all, but she had been proven wrong yet again. Tomina closed her eyes, pressing her fingers against her temples with a bemused smile.
“I should just accept that anything is possible at this point. I didn't know that reincarnation was a thing. It's not like you guys gave me a crash course on how the afterlife works. I’ve never died before, so I don't know what it's like on the other side. I’m happy for you though. Heh, you got your wish fulfilled.”
Tomina pulled out a chair and sat down at the table. She looked over at the tea and in front of her. Tomina didn't focus on Fusa… or Chione directly. The Kai wasn’t the only one having a hard time of reuniting with her former adversary.
“You’ll get used to it: flesh and blood is stronger then you think. I don't even feel pain from little things like that. I would take you up on your offer of something harder, but I have kids now. I’ve cut back a bit on the alcohol so that they don't pick that habit up. I can't afford to get my mind impaired these days either. Putting that aside, who is the Kai overseeing Yasai?”
Tomina grabbed the teacup, tilting her head back and drinking it like it was shit of tequila. Some habits didn't change it seemed. She set the now empty cup back onto the table, looking over at Chione solemnly. This was a first for Tomina: how often did one talk about killing someone with the person they offed.
“To be honest my plan was to turn you to stone and just drop you off the side of the arena once we finished up the remaining fighter. But then Serge just kinda burst out from inside of you and you died. Your armor was too tough to get through normally, so I had to resort to that tactic. I was planning that wish from the start, so in the worst case scenario, if I got that wish, then what I did would be undone. I'm not going to apologize for defeating you and contributing to my universes survival: but I imagine that must have be terrifying as hell to go through.”
Tomina leaned back, looking at the sky above them. Honestly that tournament still seemed like a strange dream. Yet it really had happened. And more proof of that was now sitting in front of her.
“To be honest, I was lying both to you and myself when I said I wanted to rule. That was true a long time ago, but that no longer mattered to me. I tried to be my old self for so long, but I didn't want to admit certain things. I had changed, I aquired traits that were shameful for a Saiyan to have. And I hated that. I hated myself more than anything else. For the selfish decisions I made that cost me everything, for my absolute failure in my duties, and for the way I was after the war. So much so that I was in denial about what I had become.”
Tomina looked down, staring the Kai right in the eyes. She was being forward with someone who wasn’t a Saiyan for once. She figured she owned Chione this much, considering what she had done to him… her.
“I still believe in my fundimental principals. That power is the tool that determines whose ambitions and ideals become reality. I will admit that the tournament opened my eyes and made me question everything. I wouldn't have wished for ultimate power even if our universe had the highest mortal level. That power would not have been my own, which I have built with my own sweat and blood. Besides, I had promises I had to Heh ¤and things I had to settle. I had more reason to make that wish then simply raising the mortal level. It covered almost everything I had set out to do.”
Really the question was “Why shouldn't I make this wish?” She had so many reasons for making said wish that there was literally no way she could ask for anything else. She had solved many things within the span of a single battle. Still, there was a long way to go before she was done.

"Pft...fufu..." Chione can't help but to giggle at Tomina's surprise. "Life is strange isn't it? I'm feeling complicated myself, but Weiss is no longer, and I'm sure Lagerus-sama is a better Hakaishin to be wished for. And so, I won't mind at all to be a Kai. I'm still learning the ropes though, and honestly, I'm not going to say that I'm good enough to not screw up now and then." Admittedly, hearing Tomina said that she had a child, Chione looked quite surprised. "Now that's something. Still in incubator? Or perhaps already walking around? Either way, congratulations. They said being a parent changes someone, either for better or for worse, and I wish you the best for it.
And your Kai would be the very same one that saved your sister from Weiss' attack. She's a reasonable Kai,"
At that time, Chione immediately contacted by the Kai having jurisdiction over the planet. The dimensional telepathy was a bit sudden. There's no change in her mannerism thankfully. Multitasking is a skill that she picked when she became Kai. She got the basic down even before then, having to defend herself back when she was Metalman against attackers. <<Lady West you think that the new North will most likely fall? That... that's a bit too sudden. With the currently kept to themselves Lord East considered, among us four I do think that the North is a bit too full of himself... yet to label him immediately as one that would fall... Did something happened? Also, I understand, I merely wish to trade view with this one. Before, trading view with her was beneficial for me, and thus I wondered if I could hear more from her.>> Her all-seeing eyes only limited itself to her area of jurisdiction, thus Namek. She haven't seen anything that drastic yet.
"Interesting way of drinking tea. Would you like a shot glass instead?" Chione joked to Tomina. "....Well, how to say this... I did indeed provoked you. I asked you if something mattered more than your sister, your world's survival and your goal. Saiyans... I felt they're too locked in what they felt are their pride. Of course I can't change warrior race's mindset nor I am forcing them to accept help, but I want to gauge just how much your pride would stop you from resorting to unorthodox tactic in situation that demanded it. Would you resort to what most saiyans would call a cheap trick if you got one? Or would you risk universe survival by clashing with me? Turned out you did your best for your sister and your wish, and for that, I'm glad. An apology isn't needed. It's for the best course of the survival of the universe."
Chione sipped more of her tea. <<Are you interested perhaps? When I return, I'll deliver some of these tea to you. They're herbs called 'tea' apparently. In Universe Four there was a similar plant, but it tasted really bitter and unfit for man's consumption, but I was pleased to know that tea have relaxing effect. A group of human in Namek apparently cultivated them. I checked their property, and apparently it originated from North's planet. However, the nature of Namek's soil seem to make them tastes different. It's slightly more fragrant for some reason. Also... why do you ask about my disguise? It's nothing that important, but if you wish to know... well... the name that I'd use is Sativ. I'd lie and say that I was one of the very weak soldier from the Saiyan Empire sent out for planet conquering, or my parents just dislike to have such a gentle daughter like me thus sending me away. I do think I need a better veiled lie, but I don't think I would regularly appear in this quadrant as Sativ.>>
"I see," Chione would say "...I... don't really get why you're so adamant on that, but... Dragon Balls are something that you gotten because your valor in struggle to get them, is it not? Yet for some reason you Saiyans doesn't seem to believe that you're entitled to something that you fought for and won. Is it not a prize for your struggle? What would be so different between it and and the power that you got on your own, considering that you're entitled to what you have won? Of course, I'm not talking merely out of curiosity and unawareness, but also to understand the nature of Saiyans under my jurisdiction too. Remnant Alliance... is it? As you said before, your mother, Queen Lettis wished upon Dragon Ball for her power of using the Super Saiyan form. It had to be done out of necessity. What would your opinion be about that?" “Ha! Calling life strange is like calling a sun hot. I’ve been through so much unbelievable things these last two years. It must be even stranger for you, transforming to this degree. If you’re as competent in everything else as you are fighting, then you’ll make for a good Kai.”
Granted Tomina wasn't an expect in what made someone a competent kai. They probably had a set of standards that she didn't know about. Still, Chione had a good head on her shoulders, metal or organic. Tomina rubbed the back of her head, giving the Kai a grin.
“Yep! Tarro knocked me up good, heh. I ended up carrying twins. Although they look nothing alike. I just recently took them out of their chambers: I didn't want to deal with the period where they were going to make a bunch of messes and nothing else.”
At least at this age she could start training her kids. They were going to need to be as strong as possible for what was to come. Although they would need a considerable amount of time before they would become formidable fighters. Tomina’s grin widened when Chione told who her who was watching over Yasai.
“Well, you guys certainly made the right choice this time around. None of you are gaining favor with Nadu, but Makin was the best choice. I need to speak with her soon: even if I didn't owe her, there are things I need to discuss with her. And I might as well include you in things as well. But before that…”
Tomina sat up straight, the grin fading from her face. Sadly this could not be all fun in games. In fact one of the more serious things involved one of them.
“A Kai came here earlier. Since Maki is the one watching over things here I’m guessing he came here without permission. Cause he ended up in a fight with one of our squadrons before vanishing. It goes without saying that he will be killed on sight if he comes here again. It would be mess if one of your kind dies, but we can't let that kind of shit fly here.”
Well, at least things went back to good humor quickly. This conversation was very dynamic in tone. It shifted from serious to more light hearted and back to being serious. Tomina shrugged, an impassive look on her face.
“I’ll just drink it that way no matter what glass is used and you know it. Putting that aside, I’ll do what I have to do for the sake of the universe. It won't be that odteb, but I will accept help if needed. But I also have my pride. In a head on battle I won’t use any cheap tricks. If I cannot trust in my own skills, then I have no right to fight.”
Granted being pushed by Chione was a hypothetical, since there were only a few people who could fight her one on one if she was going all out. Tomina sat up straight in her chair. She gave the Kai a little smirk.
“Even as a Kai you're a wordy one. It's true that Saiyans believe in taking what we win and using it. But everyone wants something different and has their own beliefs and desires. Wishing for ultimate power with the super dragonballs would have put me far above everyone else, and that would have been boring. If it is only a small boost that I earn without having to compromise my beliefs, then I will use it. If you need an item to be strong though, then you aren't worthy of that power.”
Chione had always asked philosophical questions from the moment the hybrid had met her. Which wasn't all that common for they hybrid to encounter. It certain forced her to use her brain, that was for sure. Fortunately she could keep wits with the Kai.
“You're a bit misinformed. Lettis was likely looking for power when she went after the Earth dragonballs, but her wish with the Namekian set was to revive Vegeta and the Saiyans who died there. She obtained the Super Saiyan for through her own merits.”
Like mother like daughter. Tomina and Lettis had drifted far apart in their philosophies. But still some traits from Lettis remained. They both had quite a bit of personal pride. It was a cornerstone of their beliefs: that they were capable of fulfilling whatever feat they set out to do.
"Hmn, I think I'm still very green even in fighting though," Chione would answer "But at the very least I didn't make mistake of entering this planet without the proper disguise. It helps that you're here too. I think no one would be too suspicious of two saiyans signature here. You're also a higher up of this faction, yes? Although... of course I'll immediately put up my disguise and destroy all sort of evidence of me being a Kai if for some reason there are people who suddenly approached us."
Although it's quite a vulgar remark over there, Chione can't help but to chuckle. "Congratulations for your twins, then. I have no idea what to give to saiyan children, but I guess something from Planet of Kai would do good? Here," Chione would make several heavy weighted clothes, but seem to be adjustable in both weights and size. "There are small plates inside, you can just take those off to adjust the weight. I think the weight is around a ton in total? Well, considering this is planet of the saiyans, it goes ten times the weight, so it would be ten tons... Be careful to not overdo it, although I'm sure you know how to train your own children better than me. Well, if they want a target to beat up..." she would make a giant sized plushie that looks like silly looking monster. It's more to cute than scary, perhaps it's her taste. "This one can fix itself anytime it's destroyed, as long as it's not vaporized."
"From what I heard the Saiyan King and even the Overseer of my planet dislikes Kai for some reason. Perhaps it does have something to do with your word of Kai being not neutral. I'll leave a message to her--although it's probably not needed considering that this planet fell under her jurisdiction. She probably would have known of everything that happened down here. But at any rate, to formalize it, I'll definitely report it to her that you'd like to meet her. She's a level headed one and one among the one with best interest for the mortal, so I don't feel that she would not want to meet you."
For extra measure, she added this on her telepathy <<Well then Lady West, it's as she expressed. She'd like to meet with you. I feel it'll be very beneficial for your job... considering that apparently North Kai was an incompetent fool that soured this relationship.>>
Looks like the report was right after all. It's not that she did not believe her senior, but the fact that the north doesn't have even the decency to do it... She thought at the very least he would have a plan. "...So I have heard," Chione answered after sipping her tea. "Just now she told me about the incident. I have no words to express how unfortunate it was, but... yes, he might gone here without any sort of permission. Admittedly, I have no patience toward those who make it harder for someone's job. Pests, you might say... even if it's fellow gardener should he dared to make a mess in my side... Then without a doubt I'll teach him his place. North is slightly older than me in term of how long we were functional, yet he apparently have no tact to act like mortals does. While of course Lagerus-sama would be angry, we at the same time does not need a Kai that just toss their weight around just because they're supposed to be 'god'. Should he come again and cause trouble, I promise I would help you. Divine problem should be dealt by Divines themselves. I cannot let the image of Kai tarnished simply because of a rotten fruit."
Perhaps, it's the first time for someone to see the darker side of the Kai known as Chione. Her frozen expression as she said those with veiled cold fury definitely just show how angry she was. "Well then," Chione would switch the glass with shot glass anyway. Hearing that she's wordy even as a Kai, Chione only could smirk. "Alas, this is my nature. I'm always wordy. Philosophy, debates and discussion is what I like. I felt like trading views with open mind are what a Kai need to have. Even if there are view where Gods should not hear to what Mortal said, I don't feel that's right anyway. The mortals have their own view, everyone does. To ignore the mortal is like a ruler ignoring the mass' desire. If we are to singlehandedly push for changes ourselves, then Kai are nothing but whimsical dictators. That's why I'm here, I wish to learn more about the mortals, to hear what the leaders of these mortals have to say. I wouldn't say that we're close, yet we did make quite the favorable relationship back then in the tournament. That is why I felt I need to hear your voice first."
Though, it's interesting indeed to see her point of view. "I see, pardon me for my mistake then. Tomina... let me ask you something then. By this point, I felt you have crossed what I felt as a realm between mortal and gods. Your first step. So... let me ask a strange question: Where do you think this world is heading to? Do you feel some uneasiness that you an't quite describe? Don't you feel like... this is like a calm before storm?"

Tomina stared at the Kai incredulously. Honestly what she had just said about her fighting capabilities was a bit off. Did Fusa remember how his fight against her went? Maybe she forgot a bit due of the reincarnation.
“Chione, you’re as green as the grass on Namek. I’ve been fighting since I was three years old, and you kept up with me blow for blow. If I didn't have the spit technique I don't know if I could have gotten past your armor. Don't tell me you forgot how to throw a punch when you turned into a Kai.”
Tomina was going to have to go over something crucial here. Something which the Kai had probably overlooked. First she had to get the formalities out of the way.
“I’m the head of the military. General Tomina. Has a nice ring to it, eh? That plan works for Saiyans who approach us. But, you’re going to have to time things so that you change your ki signature back to normal the instant you leave the planet. And you Kai ate going to have to come here completely suppressed before disguising yourselves. That’s because…”
Tomina gave the Kai a sly grin. She bet she hadn’t considered the possibility that she was about to being up. It wasn’t Chione fault she didn't know. She was just recently made aKai after all. Tomina’s voice rang in Chione’s head… as well as Maki’s.
{“Nasu and I both can use God ki. Ever since I obtained my God form, I’ve been able to sense everything. Even those in the highest paradise of Heaven all the way down to the deepest pits of hell. Hey, Maki! Glad to see it’s you watching over Yasai. Whenever you need that favor I owe you, give me a ring!”}
The hybrid smiled as the Kai produced gifts for hr children. Chione was very thoughtful and generous. Especially considering that she had killed the reincarnated Metalman in their match.
“Well this is an unexpected surprise. I’m sure they'll enjoy the gifts. My son could use those weights and my daughter needs something sturdy to beat up on. Thanks Chione!”
Tomina moved the gifts over to her side of the table. Going out for tea with a Kai and receiving presents for.hwr children made for a pretty interesting afternoon. Although she suspected that it was par for the course when interacting with these beings.
“Well, we don't like authority figures outside of their own species. Just your title of “God” implies that you think you’re better than us, in most of our eyes. Plus there have been a few instances where Kai have directly opposed the kingdom. This recent incident marks the third Kai to raise their hand against us in some fashion.”
Tomina nodded at Chione when she mentioned she would tell Maki of her interest of meeting with the Kai. Of course Tomina could contact her personally, but she figured it would be best if the Kai worked things out by talking with one another.
Oh boy. Chione looked PISSED at this other Kai. She hadn’t lost her composure through most of the fight they had. So it took quite a bit to get Chione mad. Tomina pit her hand over her mouth, letting out a gasp.
“How scary! That Kai is in for it now. So how does a God punish another God? Do you have some kind of system for this kind of thing? What planets for you and him look over?”
Tomina couldn’t help but be a bit curious. She lowered her hand from her mouth. Chione then proceeded to elaborate her observation by getting ever more wordy. Still, she needed to explain quite a bit to her after all.
“You were mortal yourself once. Do you not fully recall your experiences in your past life? I think the learning curve for you is easier then it is for the other kai.”
Tomina leaned forward, looking over at the other kai solemnly. She was taking that so called silly question rather seriously. The hybrid spoke to her lowly, like she was afraid someone else would hear her.
“I know a storm is coming. And it won't hit just one world: it will affect everything. You guys need to keep track of everyone who can use God ki and all the major powers in this universe. It’s only a matter of time before one of them makes a move.”
Tomina couldn't explain to the Kai why she knew something was going to happen. She wanted to keep Hasenya safe. She didn't know how the Kais would react if she told them that a time traveler had told her that a monster was going to threaten all of existence. So she was going to be as vague as possible about it.

Tomina uses Dimensional Telepathy to talk to Chirone and Maki at the same time.

Chione chuckled. It's embarrassing to admit, yet here she is, she cannot say otherwise. "Alas, you must have forgotten when I said I hate fleshy body for all its tripping and its size difference from my old one. When we reborn we pretty much had to learn how to toss punch again. Sadly, that applies to me. I have no idea how to toss a punch like the old me. Sometimes I forgot to dodge because my previous frame was way too heavy for dodging purpose. Sometimes I even forgot I can fly now. I can't even use fire anymore, and I opted something else," she would create several ices and twirl it with her finger. "But I digress, I'm now greener than even the greenest pasture compared to the me of the past. The me in the past could probably go toe on toe with you, yet I'm currently nothing more than an afterthought. It's shameful, but I need to train to once again become a force to be recognized. That, and the need of a guardian. I need a personal guardian--but frankly, you didn't come to my thought for that reason. As much as I'd like a reassuring ally like you, I'd prefer you to be more of a neutral figure."
"Indeed that is tricky," Chione answered when Tomina said something about the God Ki. "There's no other way. I'll just slowly fade and teleport back to my planet. General does have nice ring to it. Congratulations for your promotion. I'd give you something to go along with it, but... hmmm," Chione raised her eyebrow mischievously "I heard someone is cutting back on the booze, so should I try to give her a vintage alcohol that was part of my predecessor's collection I wonder... That would be too sinful of me, oh dear, oh dear..."
Authority figure from their own race indeed make people far more accepting. Chione understood this. "Even so, we're supposed to be 'God of Creation'. To me that speaks nothing but 'gardener'. A Kai's role is to increase mortal level of the world. We're not supposed to rule over the mortals you see. As long as no mortals going as far as destroying planets or endanger mortal level, a Kai would not be bothered in whatever policy they have to rule their own people. We'd like to see how you grow. I wouldn't say as far as to say that you're children in eyes of the Kais, nay. But even so, personal growth is always something that a Kai likes. That includes me. Well, even before this I love to see people grows. Like how you did in the tournament of power."
Chione tilted her head at the question on how to punish the other God. "...Well... how to say..." she would ball up her hand into fist, her eyes looking blank and eerie smile just curved up on her face "...If it's up to me, then I guess beating them hard enough would be good already. I'd go further than that, because you know, I have told you how many times my job on the Universe 4 was disrupted, torn apart by pests that trying to claim those fertile land for themselves... That's why if I encounter another pest, even if it's a Kai then I would have no mercy.... Fufufu hehehe.... hehehehehe...." for some reason it looks like she have a lot of pent up stress that didn't came out during the tournament of power. However, the eerie aura faded immediately when she took a sip of her tea. "But then again, it's not up to me. Usually we'll make sure whether they strayed from creation path or not. Apparently there are theories that demons from Makai are byproduct from Kai who undergone transgression. God complex, then taking role of Hakaishin themselves would brand them as heretic. When that happened then I guess the other Kais would try to banish them, seal them, or perhaps a Hakaishin would personally erase them before it become an issue. There are case of those... Kai turned against path of creation and killed the rest. To prevent such scenario from happening again, usually Kais kept tight watch on another. Ironic, but as far as it goes, the North is on our tight watch.
As for my jurisdiction, it's Namek... Perhaps it's irony of nature, but the North presides over Earth. Honestly, if any of you know his position and thought Earth declared a war on you and you declare war on them just because of a misconception, I wouldn't hesitate to end his life myself--nay, I'll make sure to torture him and then let Lagerus-sama did the rest. We don't need another war, just after what effort you and the rest of the warrior did to fix all these issue with mortal level. But as it stands, North have yet to gone to his own planet for some reason. I am sadly on the same spot. In my case it's because I have yet to find the right time. The Guru might be a less busy man, but even so, I need more research. As you can see, a Kai's speech is different than mortal speech. Perhaps it's due to my new form, but... it came automatically to me. A slip of tongue is dangerous when going incognito. Although I guess North gone beyond more than slip of a tongue."
At that time, Chione would ate one of her scone. "It's unfortunate but Lady West apparently felt that she's not in position yet to meet you. She expresses desire to meet you, but due to several complications she would postpone the meeting until more favorable time, General Tomina. Alas as for that... I do recall my experience as mortal, but you're forgetting an important detail. I was kept to myself. Not many would stop to talk to metalman. My thought to speech converter was something given to me by Kron-sama, and back then I have no ability to do any sort of telepathy. If it's not for Sir Jinzo's boundless wisdom I wouldn't be able to utilize telepathy. An observer will learn much less than those who proactively interacts. And while it's true my learning curve might be easier than other Kai, it wouldn't do justice to call me experienced in mortal matters."
Though, this is a surprise... "...Hou? I'd like to ask where you heard that from but... nay, it's nonissue. I'll let it be and I will not prey further into the topic. As far as it goes it's beneficial for someone as strong as you to be well aware. As much as it hurts me, I have yet to be able to pinpoint what is the nature of this disturbance. Whether it's demons, or kais, or something else... sadly I have no idea. The wind is changing, a storm will come... that's all I felt. I hope these two years of peace did not make you or your fellow warriors complacent. Tournament of power has ended, but threat to our world sadly... only gets more and more threatening now. As much as possible, I'd like to soften the blow, no matter how little significance it makes"

“Wait, you actually couldn’t dodge at all before? I thought you just prefered to take hits directly. And you couldn’t fly either? How is that possible?”
Well, the mighty Metalman sure had fallen from his… her previous state. She still thought she was in her previous body on occasion. She watched as she created… ice. The person who used the hottest fire she had ever seen was now using ice. Tomina pressed a palm to her forehead, a bemused smile appearing on her lips.
“This won’t do. If you really want to learn how to use fire again, then I can give you pointers. I’ve since mastered my powers. I’m much stronger than I was two years ago, so even your past self could learn a thing or two from me.”
Of course training her would have been tricky given the circumstances. Likely the best she could do under the best of conditions was just give her advice. Unless if Chione decided to stay disguised as a Saiyan for awhile. But they both knew that wasn’t going to happen. Tomina tilted her head as the Kai mentioned the need for a guardian.
“Well we aren’t weak like the Saiyans from that other universe apparently are, so you definitely need a hammer to knock down the nails. I thought you Kais were supposed to be neutral, or at least impartial. Are you looking for something else then most of the other Kais would consider good traits for a guardian?”
Tomina pursed her lips when Chione mentioned alcohol. She hadn’t had hard liquor at all these past two years. The idea to have something that sounded so divine was clearly tempting. She powered through the temptation, her fingers drumming against the underside of the table.
“I guess even you Kais view things differently. One called us his children and tried to get us to stop fighting. Another took sides when we invaded Earth. You guys aren’t all that different from mortals: you just have different abilities from the rest of us.”
Tomina’s hand under the table froze as she saw the look absolute malice on the Kai’s face. That grin was the same kind of eerie, ghoulish grin she gave her most hated adversaries as she prepared to put them through some kind of horrible torture. And that laugh… what else could the hybrid do but just stare blankly at the kai.
“Holy shit. I’m starting to think it’s a good idea that you are as weak as you are right now. You better leave the dirty work to whatever schmuck agrees to be your guardian. I don’t know if demon’s are descended from Kais that have fallen or not, but North is certainly on my watch list now too. I’ve been keeping tabs on Earth anyway. Heh, with my God ki abilities, I already make a better North Kaioshin then he does.”
Tomina chuckled, her surprise from Chione’s drastic mood swing wearing off. She leaned back in her chair, looking over at the kai with interest. So then Namek huh? Well now Tomina knew the general layout of which Kai looked over where.
“So you watch over the most boring place in the universe? No wonder you wanted to talk with me so badly. Which means that the Kai that gave Komatsu access to the fusion technique presides over the former Kold Planet. I’ve heard some very strange rumors about that place and my sensing has confirmed it. Well if North starts shit here again then we’ll handle it. Although I advise for you to reign him under control before things get out of hand.”
With considerable restraint on her part, Tomina reached down and only took one scone. She popped the whole thing into her mouth and chewed on it. Crumbs fell out of her mouth onto the table as she devoured it. If she weren’t holding back then she would have eaten the whole plate by now. Tomina tilted her head back and swallowed, wiping her mouth with the edge of her sleeve.
“That’s just a series of pities right there. West can’t meet with me yet and you have no experience with mortals despite being one yourself. Now then, if I was a betting woman, which I am, Nakiya is probably going to be the one causing all the trouble the moment she’s let off the leash. There is one other thing that concerns me, but I can’t really investigate it. I’ve sensed a few significant powers in hell. Most of which have demonic energy. The thing is, I can’t really go there to take a look unless if I kill myself. So I urge you to check out this lead for yourself.”
Tomina didn’t believe that every demon was inherently evil. But given the information she had it was likely that a group of demons (most likely lead by Nakiya), were going to be the threat from the Future that Hasenya had come back to stop. The being she described was someone who could use God ki, and the demon queen had both the means and the will to use it against those who opposed her ambition. If they were planning something in hell as well then she wanted to know about it.
"Yes, I can't dodge," Chione amusedly repeated "I can't dodge because my body weighted tons. My strikes were quick, but I can't say so with my body. I can't fly even with the flame from my palms because I'm not exactly aerodynamic. That's Metalman's weakness. I'm no longer part of one, and I think I'm the last of my kind. That being said, that means Metalman of Former Universe Four are now extinct. As grateful I am about your offer to train sadly I'm not going to be able to spend extended time in this planet. With how the inhabitant hates the Kai I'd rather not risk it. It'll also would be very dangerous if my disguise ended up revealed. I'm pretty sure that if there are power level that just appear in a flash, stayed for a while and then gone it would create some dissonance and suspicion. Once or twice might be fine, but more than that it will get way too suspicious."
Guardians is a strange topic isn't it? Well, she could understand why Tomina thought so, but she'd like to correct some thing "First, Kais are supposed to be neutral, yes, SUPPOSED to be. Neutral as in unlike the Kaioh, Kaioshins must work together to bring balance to mortal level. We must be open to one another about our plans, otherwise we can't work as a team. This means we're not allowed to race to make our quadrant the best while the other lags behind. We must help one another, thus creating a balance. However, as it goes, being impartial honestly would be hard. I feel if Kaioshins having to stay neutral and turn blind eye on some problems of the universe, then the case where Kaioshins hated by the mortal will repeat itself once again. Thus, I'd like to present myself as allies of the mortals. Yes, in the end I need to do my job. I will strike those who brings needless chaos and promoting stagnation when it comes to it, but first and foremost, I want to present myself as a friend. Guardian in itself is related to Kai's role.
Honestly, we might be strong but we're fundamentally not a battle beings. Logic dictates that we're creators, not destroyers, thus we're weak in that front. I sure can handle weaker saiyans as I am right now. A super saiyan without any battle experience would be fine for me, but ultimately, I'm not a fighter. As shameful as it is, I admit that I will never reach the same level as the time I fought you back in that tournament. The tree have traded my endurance with my ability to create. Thus, that's why I need guardian, a guardian that strong enough to assist Namek in time of need. So, if you ask what sort of guardian I need... It's one that have Namek's best interest as their focus and in extension, the universe's, relentlessly always aims for greater height, and agreed with my ideal. Admittedly I'd love if it's a saiyan considering Remnants are saiyans. But as it goes, well... there are no one fitting for being my guardian yet sadly."
Admittedly, being told not different from mortal made Chione chuckle in amusement "Perhaps, but most Kai have God Complexes, for understandable reason. I cannot criticize Lord Mayuri's way of solving the problem too much, considering they did their best in trying to fix the mortal level... alas, it all gone to wrong way and thus we scored bad rapport in your eyes."
"Ah but that won't do," Chione retorted when Tomina told her to leave the dirty work to her guardian. The eerie smile only gets eerier as she goes "I told you before, but I'm not the Kai who is afraid to stain her hand with blood when it comes to it. A Kai must be judged by another. If it comes to it, I'll strike them. My guardian is there for being my agent, my messenger, and my personal bodyguard. A judgement should be done by me and me alone. Oh, and obviously, Lady Maki, but you get what I mean. Ahem, pardon me for my shift of tone. Like I told you I hate pests that tosses their weight around and does not understand the weight of their responsibility. Amusingly, while most other Kai would disagree with you, I say indeed, if even the mortal can do better job than a Kai, then surely that Kai is no more than a parasitic piece of scum."
Chione suddenly switched her tea with some alcohol, poured it to a shot glass and drink it in one shot. She tossed the glass behind her like some afterthought. "There, better. My mood is slightly better now. I swear, this is so idiotic that it hurts my head... *cough* Namek isn't that boring, mind. I'm always fond of nature so in my opinion I couldn't ask for better place. East got quite the hard work... The Vampire Queen of Rosario, she's probably the third strongest being in this universe. Her movement is a bit too hard for me to predict, but I'm hoping that our goal could at least intersect when it comes to mortal level. If there is someone I truly fear, it's her. Much more than your king, much more than Nakiya Devla. She's not the type I'd like to cross at any cost. Don't worry about the north. I swear I'll stop him. I'm very sure Lady Maki too would."
Nakiya as the one who started the shit? Well, she honestly wouldn't quite doubt that but... "...No, there's something in me that says it's not her. At any rate, as for hell... I'm guessing it's the birth of the new King of Hell. Jarvis Blehberry was erased by Zen'o, but surely a new demon is up to continue his legacy. All I hope is that he won't drive the mortal level nuts like the former salad dress--I'm sorry Caesar would. Well then, I think I asked enough question. I have little else to offer. If you want something from a Kai, as long as it's within my ability and it won't cause any troubles, I'll hear you out as a thanks." WC: 1040 TWC: 4758

“Well, between not being able to do basic techniques and getting mind controlled into doing other species bidding, it’s no wonder that you ended up being the last of your kind. Like I said, you have to be disguised here for a long time in order to train with me. But you have a universe to look after and other godly things you have to do.”
Tomina rubbed the side of her temple as Chione explained just how the Kaioshin interacted with one another. She glad she wasn’t made into a Kai from whatever previous life she led.
"For only being four major directions there sure are a lot of variables involved. Well, I hope you find that special someone to be your guardian eventually. You’re not going to have a rough time if you don’t. I think if all of you had guardians to remind you that you can be hurt like everyone else, we wouldn't get arrogant shits like that Kai from universe 6 I encountered.”
Tomina almost felt sorry for the North Kai, despite not having even met the bastard. Chione wasn’t going to show him any mercy. Not even death would save him from her wrath, since she would be there in the afterlife waiting for him. Tomina watched as Chione conjured booze. She had this sour look on her face. Just looking at this was embarrassing.
“Hey, you’re acting like I would as a Kai. You should be more dignified than that. No one is going to take you seriously when they see an alcoholic god.”
Chione could say Namek wasn’t boring all she wanted to. But Tomina was pretty sure that if the RA wasn’t there, the Namekians would just watch grass grow all day. Tomina sighed, running the back of her hair with her hand.
“I don’t think Rumia is a universal threat. It woukd be unwise to not keep an eye on her though. The world of the living will be able to handle her. There is something that concerns me more. I want you to keep in contact with me and keep me updated on significant happenings. More importantly at the moment I need for you to go to hell.”
Tomina leaned forward, solemnly staring at the Kai. She probably could have worded that differently, but that's what she needed Chione to do. There was no sugarcoating things.
“I don’t know who the next king of hell will be, but there's one being in hell that worries me. Nasu told me of an encounter with someone called Mira, a former demon king. He taught Nasu the Maioken and offered to teach him a technique called the wrath bomb. He had a God form that was capable of defeating Nasu in a one on one fight. He's playing some sort of game and I don't know what it is. I know it's a hell of a favor, but find out as much as you can about this guy.”
"Indeed, and I'm told to not take too long. It'll be dangerous for me. I sure can probably import those... Gravity Machine thingamajig for my future house and offers some training to people who came to my place... well assuming they have that honor of being allowed in. Only attendant of Kais are allowed in. Not even Kaio-gata, I mean, the North Kaio, the south Kaio or anything below the rank of Kaioshin attendant can come in. Well I'll make sure to look or those significant people. I honestly wish that there could be people who want to be my guardian. Technically, they benefit as one by pretty much get stronger quicker. However, well... how to say... I'm guessing most Saiyans would be against that because it's pretty much accepting help from a magical source. Even so, I'd love to have a saiyan guardian because they could help me in a view that I have no idea about, for example relating to strength, saiyan prides and such."
Chione just chuckled when Tomina said how it's to remind that Kai are not omnipotent "In a way I guess you're right. I'm guessing you mean Lord Onato. He's pretty much as strong as you were back before the event I think. I don't think you would ever met him again, but truth to be told, Onato is something that I quite dislike too. He reminds me too much of North, or better said, North reminds me of him. Perhaps incompetent version of him. Alas, I think I'll have to be content with just this guy."
When she was scolded, Chione just laughed. "I thought you mortal prefers God who are closer to your image than actual divines. But really, just one gulp is all I need to emphasis just how bad it is. You won't believe just how many paperworks I need to handle the first time I took the office. We technically doesn't have paperworks either. Kais normally just doesn't like paperworks, but... in my case, I felt it's needed. Information about Namek, whatever happened... you said that Namek is boring, but do you know that half of the planet now belongs to the saiyan and it's probably the second biggest trade hub after Earth? I'd dare to say it's almost first if Earth did not open itself to trade further. I was so interested in the change in just mere two years. How was that possible? So I gathered as much as I could. It was stressing, but it was fun. I never really drink... until today, that is."
Though she doesn't quite believe what she heard. "...Are you telling me to go die or something?" somehow her tone getting loose, probably because of the alcohol. Is she a lightweight? "Alright we Kai got access to go down there, but it doesn't mean I SHOULD go down there for whatever reason! If you can't do it, what makes you think I can do it with my measly power?! I'm weaker than the king of hell down there while before I could have made at least some major damage to him! But now you're telling me about someone strong enough to even have access to Makai version of Kaioken? A perverted version of it, even? ...Dear me... Calling it a hell of a favor won't even cut it."
Chione massaged her forehead, yet... it's obvious that she's not saying outright no to this. She's thinking. "...What would you give me for this?" she finally spoke.
Base [x+1/x+0], Enrage [x2], Mastered Power [x5], Super Elemi [x13], Attuned Super Elemi [x20], Unleashed Super Elemi [x32/x24], Mastered Super Elemi [x35], True Elemental [x45], False God [x56/x55] True God [x60]
Tomina raised an eyebrow at that. She figured that Chione’s vocabulary would have been a bit more refined. Then again Chione was an oddity among the kais. Tomina listened with interest as she was told a bit about the beings in the afterlife. She leaned back, looking up towards the sky.
“There are some Saiyans who are willing to accept magical aid of some kind of they're desperate enough. The main deal-breaker for them is playing bodyguard to a weaker individual who isn't a Saiyan. I’m sure there's one oddity somewhere about: you’d have a chance in recruiting a hybrid.”
The hybrid looked down, scowling as that name was brought up. He really had been unpleasant to seal eith, as short as their interaction was. Apparently the fact that she saved two universes didn't make up for her being a filthy mortal.
“If that is what North is going to become then you might as well get rid of him now and pray his successor turns out better. I guess I’m glad you don't act like a proper God.”
Tomina let out a low hum, her finger tapping against her chin a couple of times. The Remnant Alliance had gotten more busy then she realized in these last two years.
“I had no idea that they had managed to push Namek into economic success. Not that they had much of an economy to begin with. Earth has been prosperous too. It's good to see that my wish hasn't been in vain.”
Tomina leaned forward, placing her elbows on the table and moving as close as what was probably comfortable for the kai. She raised up two fingers to the Kai, and held them in front of her face.
“I’ll do you better then that. I’ll give you two things in exchange. The first is why doing this is so important. Although you will have to keep it to yourself. The second can be anything you want. Just say the word and I’ll do it for you. As long as it doesn't go against my beliefs and principals or include hurting or betraying people I care about. Well, how about it?”
"It's not like we have technology like you guys back in universe 4, so it's still a bit strange how very... widespread is this thing is. It's like every middle end houses and above have these for training. You probably wouldn't doubt me if I said technology back in Universe 4 was a bit underwhelming because Weiss make too much statue to widespread her vanity. Well, all I can say is that it's part of a culture shock. The same that there's apparently a tool called Kami Tube to broadcasts what happened in Universe to other Kai and Hakaishin alike from other universe. I never knew such thing exist, but ah well."
Desperate? Hmn, that sounds bad "...To be honest I really don't want desperate guys. I mean, it felt like I'm using them, and that is kinda like trampling their pride. I want them to understood that this is not really a "peaceful" duty that most people thoughts when it comes to Kai. Sure the other Kai might gave their guardian more free time, but I'm planning to grow stronger with them. At the very least, to that man Onato's level, that's how strong I'd like to be. I already gave up getting as strong as I was back in the tournament of power, but... A Kai shouldn't slack. We might be the last line of defense of the universe, and we have the potara, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't personally help when it comes to it."
Chione decided to not answer about the North Kai. More than this she'll need more booze, and that's quite unbecoming of her. "...Although I heard the North wished to meet me. What should I do on that I wonder."
This time around, she's presented with two presents. Chione poured a water on her glass to neutralize the alcohol somewhat. "...Alright, so... just to be clear, you know that... Lady West is watching us, don't you? Whatever you say to me right now, she'll hear. I also will disclose anything that come from this to her as part of our Kai pact. I'd love a working relationship with her, not the kind of shadiness the North is showing. As for the favor, I'll keep that... Because I don't know just how much are you going to owe me. I won't go down there, but... There should be a lead in the soul ledger. If you can give me the date of his death or something, perhaps like when was he first spotted maybe we can work around that."
