Ermine had promised Flare at some point he would show her his home and how he lived, after all, she had shown him her lifestyle, it was only a fair exchange, it took some time, of course, the whole "assassins are after her" thing kind of didn't leave either of them much free time, but finally the chance came around, he told her exactly where it was, somewhere in downtown East City. It was pretty late in the evening by the time they arrived, the sun had gone down and only the street lights and neon signs provided light. But even despite this late hour, it was still reletively busy, there were people going here and there, the occasional tourist with their cameras, the regulars, the shady people heading off into the alleyways...It was definitely a bustling place.
Ermine of course walked along the streets like it was nothing, he didn't pay mind to any of the distractions, he had lived there for some time, he saw it all, it sort of numbed him to it, if he were honest. He rubs the back of his head as he gives a sort of "tour" of his home streets to her ...Though he wasn't saying a whole lot, he manages to strike up a conversation eventually. "...Soo...You like noodles? Y'know, Chinese food? I know a place. C'mon." He leads the way to a small restaurant off the side of an alley. It was seedy, it was unusual in design, while it had a roof over it, and even more building above, the place had an "open exterior" design, it had support beams, but no real walls except towards the back, a single neon sign advertized the place, most of the letters had burnt out until only "Ch e" was visible. But even as seedy as it was, he seemed comfortable there, plus...It was only just off of the street, it probably wasn't that dangerous.
He walked right up to the bar where a man was working, sat up on a stool, and looked back at her, waiting for her to do the same. "Hey Erm, back again? You've been gone a few days. The folks around are starting to worry." "... Well, it's just the usual, Cheng. Another job that takes time, it's nothing I can't handle." ... Though there was a subtle amount of doubt in his words, he was actually bluffing in that it was nothing like his usual jobs. They didn't go on this long or draw him in this deep usually. "Just take care of yourself, alright? We're all family around this place, y'know? Wouldn't be the same if you went and got yourself hurt. I know a lot of people in the area who'd hate to see that." The man working, "Cheng" apparently, looks over at Flare. "A friend of yours?" "That's my client, her name's Flare, don't doubt her for even a second. The kid has a good head on her shoulders, she can handle herself." Ermine grins as he looked over at her for a moment. That...Was definitely a compliment, even if it sounded blunt.
"What'll it be? The usual?" The fun times continued, but deeper into the alleyways led to darkness...It was certainly easy for anyone to come up onto this restaurant if they so wanted, but surely it would be okay, right? East City was sleazy, but if you knew how to handle yourself, it was usually fine.

East City. Flare had been around the city for a lot of her life. Considering her mansion wasn't too far off from this bustling city it was a pretty fair assessment that she took trips often. This trip in particular she left Jax behind for. This particular section of downtown didn't ring a bell with her. Probably because the times she came she went straight into buildings rather than gave the place a look over. She was probably just giving raised brows to the few people that seemed a bit off around her, but kept quiet alongside him up til the man asked something of her. Chinese!?
"Of course I love it!" The exclaimed loudly as if he should have known. "Tell me that they have some spicy variants or something too." The idea that this restaurant they stopped on though was "fitting" seemed to stretch it past her skepticism. Talk about a little shady, the thing didn't seem well kept. But... that man was going on leading her there anyways! Surely it couldn't be so bad being so close to the streets, but couldn't a more visible place like this have the decency for visual upkeep? Whatever, she just followed along and walked up and sat next to him in one of the stools. It wasn't often she was the one following the leader into things. She could only sit and listen for a few seconds. Before the man had asked the question about her she jut her hand out to give a handshake across the table.
"Nice to meet ya. Have any of the spicy stuff? It's spicy noodles or bust for me." The elemi smirked at them both. Turning fully to Ermine after giving a proper token to Cheng. Her smirk... Turned to some false smile that would probably freak out a stranger walking in on her.
To Yamiko, they were happy, to this girl with such spite cradled in her heart the sight of the pair caused a mix of emotions to stir inside her. Were they.... on a date? Were they ACTUALLY happy? ....why did she care? From her place in the alley she had been watching these two along with the rest. Some hurt others and some helped each other-these to were the latter it seemed or at least they made it look that way. That was just survival anyway, weaker beings needed to stay together after all... well, most did anyway-Yamiko herself didn't need anyone, just herself and the blade at her side.
Yet still... this particular event bothered her. The problem was if she was so sure of herself in this regard, if it was such a sure thing then exactly did the feelings persist? What was she missing here? All the sight brought to her mind was memories... memories she wanted to erase destroy and be done with! She hated HIM she hated HER dang it she hated EVERYONE. She couldn't care less if they hated her to, it didn't matter. They were... horrible.. stupid... unneeded people and they all just... needed to go away! A violent aura began to form around the girl reflecting her confusion and anger to any who could feel it. Around her body three animal skulls formed, each head pointing in the direction of the pair's little.... whatever the heck it was! Ki began to charge in each of these skulls with Yamiko's arms slumped in front of her, cold eyes the only physical indication of the emotion on her face. Her emotions confused her but the one thing she was sure of was that this... them... EVERYONE could burn for all she cared! Stupid... useless.... worthless.. what they felt meant absolutely nothing..... right? Though she felt her thoughts were just the shaking of her arms in response to this emotion, along with the feeling of her aura could tell anyone capable of noticing a very different story.

The man running the place gladly reached out to shake her hand. "You bet, we have the spiciest in town! haha, old Erm here tried it once and nearly died judging by the look on his face!" Though he quickly reels back a bit as Flare shows that...Sincere smile. "Don't call her a kid by the way, she hates that." Cheng responds with an awkward laugh. "I'm pretty sure those were your words." Ermine shrugs and turns to Flare. "This is Cheng, his place looks like trash but he's an honest man." "Haha, you bet-Heeeeeyy." Ermine couldn't help but grin at his own rather blunt and basic description, and sadly...It was pretty true. "The..Uh, usual for you?" "of course." "And for you!" The man turns to the Elemi. "Our hottest dish, since that seems to be what you're after!"
Most of the restaurant's patrons couldn't feel what was brewing in that back alley, and Ermine certainly didn't know the two were being watched...But yet, this feeling was growing in him, a feeling of dread, he definitely found it odd...But with nothing happening, tried to just shrug it off for now. It wasn't too much longer before food was served up for the two. just an average bowl of noodles for the Detective, and for the fire girl...A bowl of something that the smell alone burned Just even entering the nose. She'd probably love it, is what Ermine guessed. "Hey uh...You wouldn't happen to be feeling that, right? It's not just me?" He brought up that feeling...Maybe it was just the atmosphere, maybe it was only him, but maybe someone else feeling it would clear things up. ... Well, it wasn't clear yet, anyway...Until...
A scream rings out, some patrons who had just exited the restaurant must have spotted the girl charging up her attack, it wasn't long before Erm had jumped from his seat and hurried over to where the screams were. "...Well..." Was the only thing he could really let out in response, though he tries to remain calm in the face of this situation.
The young flame was taken to the man already. The owner returning the handshake and ALSO telling her they had some of the hot stuff she loved. She could only hope the man wouldn't let her down on that front. Ermine's example wasn't good enough to satisfy. "It better be capable of sending my tongue to hell, Cheng!" The man hand't seen her eat boiling stuff either, so this was to be an experience for the owner. "Of course I want the hottest dish!" The alleyway's disturbance was unknown to her as well. She had one thing lacking in her, and that was the ability to sense "wrong vibes". Mostly the indirect ones, like this. The bowl of spicy stuff was too distracting to resist anyways. No time to cool down, she just started digging in with a gleeful smirk. The spicy aroma affected her not, she took a nice gobble and chewed. One could still see the steam coming out of her mouth from the extremely hot food.
"Feeling what?" The elemi looked up from her food with a mouthful. Her speech was muffled due to it. "Are you... Are you hitting on me?" The scream definitely gets her off that funny topic instantly, FLare putting down her food for the moment. She sprung to action and made her way up front with Ermine. She put on a glare as she glanced around.
Hell they didn't even shield the person next to them.
That... made her even madder, reinforced her resolve to kill off the meaningless pieces of filth. All that spouting her father gave about how love was strong and protecting others was a second nature... where was that crap here? They were a punch of pathetic sniveling cowards. Her father was dead wrong and he knew it! Yet still he lied to her... tried to defend protecting such a useless place. Well you know what? She was going to fix that! She hated the useless bobbles around her, she could feel it-together they could more than take her out but no... they thought it smarter, a better waste of their lives to wine and complain about this situation... that was ok. They could bring all that cowardness before their maker and see how they were judged!
Energy continued to build inside the mouths of the animal skulls floating around her, as if in rhythm with her raged filled breathing. But that's all it was-charging. Despite her thoughts she had yet to unleash the bulk of her power on anyone around her, Not even the bar she was aimed at. And then she felt it-their movement made her notice. Two powers far above the welps investing her walk away. She was quickly disappointed however. Despite their power they were no better than the rest, the only difference was the lack of screaming. Unlike the others the pair simply stared. They did nothing to help because it was like just like everything else her idiot of a father ever told her! It was all lies nothing but useless pathetic filthy lies! Useless they were, like everything else! Useless like this down, like this planet, like existence IT WAS ALL USELESS.
and if she didn't get a response soon? It could all just die.
Erm doesn't show any sign of hostility, he doesn't even show a sign of hesitation, he needed to think of something fast, attacking her would risk hurting others, and...He didn't even know what her purpose was, yet. And takes a deep breath and opens his mouth. "Hey." It was a calm phrase, he was taking this as carefully as possible, he didn't put any other emotion into it. "You look upset about something. If there's something the matter, we can talk it over." He wasn't pleading in what he said, he was afraid for others, but he didn't beg, his words sounded more...Caring. "If you'll just drop your attack there, I'll talk it over with you. Something's got to be bothering you, right?" And there he continued, his wirds sounding caring, he didn't know this girl, but she definitely looked upset, He felt like his best shot at diffusing this was to try and care. "Maybe you're not upset, I don't know. But I can still talk to you about it, whatever it is. These people aren't worth hurting over it. So...Why don't we all relax? Do you want something to eat? I'm paying, have anything you want."
It was still a little odd for him to say things like this, maybe if it were someone he knew more...But it didn't matter, he was going to show kindness, to save everyone around him, possibly even the one arming the attack. "I don't know what you're going through, I'm not going to lie to you about that. But if you need to say it, I'm here to listen, may even be able to help you. Just...Please, these people don't need to get hurt, alright?" It was a plead, but yet...It was still caring, like rather than just wanting her to go away, he just wanted everyone to work it out. He clearly didn't want to fight her, but he also wasn't just standing quietly like he was. It was enough to calm all the screaming. If even for the moment.

Ermine is currently standing calmly, if he needs to, he can move to take her attack for everyone else, but he isn't visibly ready for such a thing.
The young flame was... not the most calm of individuals when it came to people blowing things up. She would be angry any other time, but she... looked like a mere child. In actuality she wasn't much older than the opposing woman who was obviously charging some sort of attack in their general direction. Ermine was already in the process of appeasing the girl, so the best she could do was stand by and watch them with amber eyes. Wait, no. She knew there was still people around them that were mostly screaming at the event. "Ermy, go give her a cookie or something. I've got to tell some people to get the fuck out." She gave the man a pat on the shoulder before she turned around to the little restaurant and yelled at people. Yeah, everyone from your little tyke to your elderly homeless man wandering on by.
"Hey, all of ya! Get out of here! Go, get your asses out of here, this isn't a safe place right now!" The use of vulgar startled a few nearby. Most, even before she started yelling, were already dashing off on their own way. Her yelling was probably not going to appease the little girl that was attempting to attack the bar from the alley. One fatter individual was trying to take his food from the bar with him, having difficulty due to it. Flare jumped on his case as well. "HEY, Move it, lard-ass!" Her hair had small whiffs of fire flowing off it. "Come on, hustle. Hustle!" The larger man was huffing and puffing with a fearful face, eventually wandering off with the rest of the people.
"Jeez, well... at least that- Wait a moment." The owner. She went ahead and ran back in to make sure Cheng was also making a leave out of there.
The young girl's faced turned to face one of the sources of power, the highest one in fact. What did he wanna talk now? Have a conversation? Did the guy think he was going to change her mind or something? That.. That two people standing up to her was somehow gonna change her mind? One of them... Was getting the rest to safety. This one, the strongest aura was talking to her. They changed their actions... why? Because they cared? No, that wrong. People didn't truly care for each other. They fought and bled and used each other-but they didn't care.
Who did he think he was questioning her anyway?! Of course something was freaking wrong! No sane individual just out of nowhere threatens to blow up part of the city! His tone... it was familiar to her. It made you feel like things were going to be ok, that everything was going to turn out alright. It was the tone of her father... fath....er. and then her aura began to get erratic, as if both calming itself and flaring up back to back. Who was this man? Why did he bother with these useless people? And the other girl she... she tried to get everyone away... why?
They... They made her mind mixed up. They affected her resolve. That... That wasn't right! Why wearnt they like the rest? Why... Why we're they acting like him? What the hell kind of game were they playing?! No... no no no NO!
And then the animal skulls moved. One by one they adjusted themselves until each was focused properly pointing at the hero from each side of his head. The girl raised her voice in defience.
"You... wanna listen? You wanna be some kind of hero? I'm not stupid, you need these welps for... something right? Their pathetic, useless... they can't even show a hint of courage.... what kind of person is that?"
She shook her head in defiance. Their was no way that this man... that anyone was kind or stupid enough to to be rational with blasts directed at their skulls.
"You have no right to ask about my life, who EXACTLY do you think are... ? If you really wanna be this heroic figure... are you willing to drop dead for them, a bunch of people you probably don't even know?"
Her voice had a cold but shaken tone, like a confused girl out alone for the first time, her hands were body was shaking in response to the pair's actions. She... This was who she was, just like they were who they were... useless husks... right?

Erm gave Flare a simple nod in response to her, he was glad she could get them to safety, it would give them insurance, something vital right now.
Inside the bar, Cheng was in a position where he couldn't see the girl, he was ducked down behind the counter with a pistol. "What's going on out there?! Is it a gang?!" He raised up from behind the counter when he heard Flare approach, pointing his gun. "You're not getting me, you gang thug!!" ... And then he realized it was just Flare, awkwardly lowering his pistol. "What's even happening?! Who's he talking to?" Meanwhile, outside... Ermine was still standing his ground against the girl.
He listened to her speak, and then he saw those weapons point at him...His alertness rose, but his tone...It didn't change at all, he closes his eyes. "I have nothing to gain from any of these people. Heck, I only know two of them. Still nothing to gain from them. They're afraid of you because you're stronger than them. You could vaporize them in an instant." His eyes stayed shut, his hands not moving from his pockets. "Who I am? My name is Ermine, what about yours?" And there he went, intentionally missing the point of that statement. He continues, shrugging. "I dunno honestly. I just don't want them getting hurt, and if it means you leave them out of it? Go ahead, take the shot." His eyes open, staring right into hers. "But honestly, I don't think you want to. You don't strike me as the type." He closes his eyes once more. "What's more...The way you shamble about...The way you stay so quiet, it feels...Like your life is going down a dangerous path." "But anyone can do the right thing if they just try. And you especially. We can be your friends. Flare and I. You don't have to suffer alone. I'm not wrong, am I? You're scared. You don't know what to do, right? You don't have to be, just put your weapons away, we can settle it with words." Everything he said was so...Sincere, it wasn't hostile, it was concerned, if anything. He wasn't begging for his life, or attacking her, she might have even been able to feel his power just a little above hers, and yet he wasn't trying anything. "What do you say? Friends?" That last line...It showed the most concern of all, he could see it in her, she must have been going alone for so long, he knew what it was like to rely on himself, he still did, to some extent...He didn't want to attack her, especially now that he saw her shaking.
