The sky was crystal clear as the sun burned down among the grassy fields a the young teen continued to trek make her way through the long amounts of green. Her hand passed through the flowers in the fields, they where very pretty and all of varying size and shape, maybe she could pick some? She kneeled down a bit, picking a variety of types, while some didn't help with her allergies, she didn't care! They looked nice, and she especially liked the bright yellow daisy, so much that she place it in her as she continued to walk.
This had been Ari's first time at, and real first time on an actual adventure. She'd been out for the house for around a few weeks or so, and stayed in cheap motels or mostly sleep outside for the most part. Not like that was a bad thing to her. She got to view the starts and the moon, and only really becoming an issue when it started to rain. Earth already had so much to offer! But she knew there was more out there among the stars, but for know she could only dream, scribbling away at her notes as she meant different people and places.
Though all the happy thoughts and fun times started to go a low burn for a bit as Ari pulled her GPS out, noting how it didn't seem to be pulling is own weight. Ari was no tech expert, she but she was pretty sure the device wasn't meant to be flashing on and off, and even after giving it a few good shakes the machine didn't seem to want to work. "...T-This doesn't seem good."She frowned, attempting to mess with it again, but it didn't give her a wanting result. Ari would be lying if she said she knew where she was going (she doesn't) but there's no need to panic? Yeah! This was fine, she was fine!
She just needed to maybe take a break for a bit of something, maybe see if there was a local she could ask for help later on? But for know she ventured out of the glass lands and started waking near the main path again, eventually taking a rest underneath a large tree. She pulled her hood up as she did, and used her shapeshifting to hide any unhuman traits. Ari didn't know much, but she knew people didn't like demons, full-blood or hybrid, so she hid herself as human till she got there full opinion on them.
She started to pull her book out and write away to herself as she leaned on the large tree, freshly pick flowers on one side and her bag of belongings on the other.
What had originally started as just a basic trip between planets became something way more, when her pod had ended up amidst an asteroid field of all things! At first, she had been navigating the field just fine - but a few unlucky hits had sent the pod careening down to Earth, sent off course from any sort of civilisation or even proper landing zone. It would end up crashing as a result, half-burying itself amongst the soil not too far from where Ari was at this moment with a resounding BOOM!
The pod itself was battered from the asteroid field, but otherwise fine - though its crash left a visible scar in the grasslands, from where it skidded along the ground - and a small crater. Taking a few seconds, the door would open up with a drawn-out HSSSSSSSS, revealing the dizzy and disoriented ankoku inside. "Ugggghhhhh...." Ranon would groan, clearly nauseous, stumbling out into the open; her claws digging into the ground to keep from falling over as the world spun around her. "That... wasn't... very fun...." She muttered to herself as she slowly gained her bearings, glancing around at the flora that hadn't been crushed by her pod's unceremonious crash.
Colorful little things, and lots of lush green... It was pretty, Ranon had to admit; though she wasn't too interested in that. Instead, she was more worried about where the heck she was, as a quick poke at the controls in her pod confirmed that it was, indeed, quite out of commission. Damn.
With a sharp sigh, Ranon would take a second to think, before deciding to shapeshift - taking the form of a Supidoan of about the same size - and suppressing her Ki to a more 'average' level to not draw too much attention, as she grabbed her things. She would begin quietly walking off from the pod, glancing around for any roads or signs of civilization she could poke her head in - either to get directions to someplace she could buy a new ship or pod at, or otherwise to find some work. Sensing around a bit though, a nearby ki signature would draw her attention - or, at least... She thought it was ki? What Ranon didn't know was that she was sensing Ari's magic instead - not Ki - but it still felt a hint unusual to her. This would come to pique her interest, as the Ankoku-turned-Supidoan would begin trekking in the direction of the signature in hopes of finding either someone interesting, or at least someone who knew their way around this planet.
Citri's departure of their remote colony on a small planet was about a year ago, and for a photographer.. they haven't taken much pictures! sure, they took some, but the first year of earth was just trying to figure out how to act! Citri DID look mostly human, but they barely knew anything about said race, or hell, they barely knew anything about any other race, except Bijou and Elemi! That's expected, due to living on a colony of only those two races, But nevermind all that! Citri came here to take pictures, and that's what they were going to do! The local flora of this planet seemed like a good place to start!
They made their way to the shapeshifted demon - and looked at the flowers that they were picking.. right when Citri was about to speak, they jumped up in the air, wincing from that large BOOM! that rang throughout the grassy fields - Citri withheld anything they were going to say to Ari, they had to check on this person! With a quick movement, they quickly ran over to the crashed space pod in the distance, after a bit, they met up with the Ankoku that shapeshifted into a Supidoan - not seeming winded from the run, Citri asked a very simple, but very fast, and frantic question.
"A-Are you okay?!" Citri didn't care about any dangers, with crooked glasses, they anxiously awaited an answer.
Ari would give a small squeak of fear as she stumbled back from leaning on the tree, hitting her head on the grassy ground as the shipped crashed. "...W-What in God's name was that?" She cursed, slowly standing up and peering at the large crater the pod has made. She frowned, did she really wanna go down there? She had no idea what, or who, it could even be! But an even better point, what if person got hurt? The last drive was stronger then the first, and Ari found herself slowly trekking down, maybe admittedly a rather slow rate, but she was getting there sooner then later.
She noted another figure from afar - an androgynous figure with bright orange that had a small shine to it, she'd never seen anything like this before. But distractions aside she kept her distance as she saw another - a tall woman, a Supidoan, yet something she'd never before either, but a mix of curiosity and anxiety flooded over her as she watched things unfold, still unaware of who theses people where and what there intentions where.
Ranon would blink up - or, well, more appropriately she would blink slightly-higher-than-down - at the smaller Bijou as Citri approached, the other clearly in a hurry; though it took a second for Ranon to catch onto why exactly. As a result, it would take a second to register the frantically-blurted question, before she grinned a little sheepishly. This grin displayed her teeth, which were a bit sharp, as though she had neglected to properly shapeshift the detail as well, out of either forgetting, or otherwise not caring. "Heh, yeah, I'm fine." Ranon would respond either way, adding "Not my first rodeo with a rough crash like that. Geez, though - that asteroid field out there is a bitch, ain't it? That pod ain't flying again, I know that much, haha!"
Ranon would laugh heartily with the remark - untroubled at at least knowing someone else was out here - or, actually, two people; it having taken a second for Ranon to note Ari's signature from afar. The shapeshifted Ankoku would decide to pay more attention to Citri for a second longer, mentioning "Name's Ranon, though- traveling mercenary. Do you know any directions to any colonies or whatever? Just anyplace I could pick up a job or a new ride really, either works. Ooooor I could take jobs now if you're looking for any help with anything, I'm cool with that too."
Ranon would then glance towards Ari's direction - huh, that was the weird signature from before. She'd have to ask the gal later about that - she was definitely curious. "Also, uhhh... Do you know them, by the way? I'm not the only one who finds her ki a bit off, yeah?" Ranon would ask Citri, gesturing in Ari's direction, and waving to the half-demon magi. After a second, realizing how her words could've been taken, she'd quickly clarify to Citri "Not like, bad-off, just... Something different about it.
After what had been a day of mostly radio silence, Mofuka was finally called up do to something other than quietly patrol. Patrolling occupied planets like this was never that fun, as he couldn't make a real display of himself or his authority to the public until some form of galactic crime was committed- and on a peaceful planet like this, that rarely happened at all. When it did it was usually very far out of the league of the Galactic Patrol and was left up to some wannabe hero who just so happened to be conveniently stronger than any officer on hand. A fact the Earthling aimed to change at some point, though his mind wasn't on such negative thoughts while he left his patrol route to pursue the reports of a space pod headed towards Earth without so much as a "how do ya do?" His thoughts, as always, were on his work. As bland as it might sound, there were plenty of things for him to wander and stress over. Advancement, income, etc. Things someone his age shouldn't really be worrying about so intensely, but alas.
He made no secret of his presence while he flew, a wispy green aura outlining him as he flew at a decent speed towards where the reported pod was believed to have landed. In time, he had gone from the scenery of hot sand and rocky mountains to grassy fields- and somehow, it was even hotter than where he just was. He considered himself lucky that he was used to the whole two sun deal Namek had going on. This was pretty nice compared to that. Admittedly, the hybrid wasn't sure what to expect. A Kold Demon tradeship came to mind, thinking of the last time he had encountered an unlicensed lander, though he would be quite surprised to find something he could pretty comfortably describe as at least close to the opposite.
With a brow raised, the officer took to the ground, landing carefully while at the same time dispelling the aura that had surrounded him. No one had made any moves to run away from him, so he could infer from that that he wouldn't be having to fight anybody. Honestly, fighting someone while on patrol was a bit of a pain, as there were whole reports to write out afterwards- usually a page or two in length. Aside from nobody running though, he could easily tell that this wasn't exactly the most voluntary landing. Of course, he was a tad uncomfortable when spotting Ranon and Ari, visibly tensing at the sight of the former. He had to relax though, as this was part of his job. Mofuka cleared his throat and looked between the three before asking calmly, though still with hints of nervousness. "Is anybody hurt?"
Citri felt a little bad about leaving Ari possibly somewhat confused - i mean, they did just go near them, and run away.. but again, Citri was more concerned with the person that could possibly be hurt! Citri felt a wave of relief as they didn't look hurt or wounded at all. "Oh, that's good!" Citri said, with a bit of a lisp. "I'm just glad you're fine and all! I wouldn't know about the asteroids, however. On my way here, i didn't come across that much!" Citri intently looked up at the Shapeshifted Ankoku, awaiting another response.
"Citri, i'm a photographer, and can't say i really do! ..Even though i've been on this planet for about a year, i still don't know where a lot of things are!" Citri said, laughing nervously. They were pretty bad at remembering directions, a problem that they thought would show up when they came to earth. "But no! I don't need any real help.." The Bijou looked back, seeing Ari slowly approach. "Can't say i do, and i didn't really.. notice her ki, but now that you mention it, it does seem a little different, are they okay?" Citri didn't really know much about Magi, or much other races, for that matter! Ari just looked like a human to them.
Citri let out a bit of a startled gasp as Mofuka showed up - the easily startled bijou turned Mofuka, smiling. "As far as i know, nope!" Citri didn't dwell upon Ari's ki - nor mention it, they didn't want to sound rude.
Citri was a little surprised on how much people they were meeting! sure, they were a bit anxious about it, but they thought that they'd be a bit of an outcast when coming to earth! but so far, it seems no one was really weirded out by them, and if they were, they were doing a good job of hiding it. "I think she just crashed, but i'm glad that they're alright!" Citri said, referring to Ranon.
In most cases, a normal human being would simply approach the group, explain the situation and then everyone would just laugh and smile like in the animes or something. But, Ari wasn't most people, in fact most people to her where rather scary and intimidating regardless of height or race and this entire situation only made her anxiety flare up to a screech level of Way-To-High.
Why was the space cops here? Did it have something to do with the waving lady? Something to do something with the photography? Is Ari a wittiness to some form of crime? Or is Ari a suspect? Is she be going to prison? Oh god was coming out here a mistake??? Being so, the only noise she could produce was a faint, soft, wispy "...hHhhhhhh..." Which just sounded she was breathing in got to long the anything else.
But Ari knew standing there like a dazed deer in headlights wouldn't solve any of her problems. So she just gave a messy wave to the Supidoan lady as she slowly started to back away from this, whole, thing, and just look for a distraction. Something! Anything dammit!
...The flowers. Oh yeah the flowers she picked beforehand! She scrambled back to the tree, nearly falling over herself in a comical fashion as she walked over to the flowers, totally making it look like she's forgot something a silly, yet understandable and relatable manner. And totally not to try and nope out of the area around as she furiously started shovelling flowers in her back near the large tree before hiding behind said tree.
Was this a bad idea? Probably? Is there a chance any of them could have a high ki sensing ability? Yup! Does Ari even care by this point? No, not really. "You are an idiot for thinking ever leaving the house was a good idea!" She whispered to herself. "It hasn't even been a year and you could already be in trouble.... HhhhhhHhH..."
"Really? You must've been lucky then, was a hayday for me." Ranon would laugh to Citri, scratching the back of her head in a sheepish fashion. Must be just one of her days, then. Ah well, just means she'd be more careful next time - it was on her for neglecting to consider that there might be an asteroid field around this planet, as uncommon as they are. "And a photographer, huh? That sounds pretty cool! Good to meet ya, Citri." Ranon would extend a hand to shake Citri's hand, and she had been ready to respond to Citri's inquiry about whether Ari was okay, until pausing upon sensing something - a decently strong powerlevel approaching.
The notion of someone around her level approaching seemed to excite her a bit, and she grinned faintly to herself as Mofuka showed up, landing before them and dispelling his aura. Though, she couldn't help but notice he was maybe a little tense, for some reason. Not being too socially aware at times, Ranon hadn't a clue why - but wouldn't ponder upon it too long as he asked his question. "Pretty sure we're all okay! Besides all of these plants, at least," She'd respond with a hint of humor, chuckling a bit as she poked at the grass with the toe of her 'shoe' - it technically was just a part of her body, but noone had to know that - and glancing back over to Mofuka. She was almost tempted to have asked for a spar, though the Galactic Patrol uniform probably meant that he didn't have much time for that sort of business.
"Sorry that I couldn't go thru the usual landing procedures, in any case. I was being a dumbass, and got unlucky with the asteroids around this planet - it banged up my pod real good. I can help haul the pod, if it's necessary - it's probably not getting off the ground anytime soon." She would apologize in any case, scratching the back of her head a bit. She hoped there wouldn't be TOO much paperwork or what-have-you to be done; though at least having an officer here would mean she could get some directions to some nearby colony or town.
She would glance aside though, noticing Ari fleeing over towards the tree - and would tilt her head a bit. Was something wrong? That social awkwardness coming to light again, Ranon would cup her hands around her mouth and call to Ari "Everything alright over there? You weren't hurt, were ya?"
"Ah, I figured it must have been a crash. You were hurtling towards Earth much too quickly." Mofuka nodded his head in response. "You were either someone crashing, or a Saiyan.. I'm glad you weren't the latter, really. Saiyans aren't the most welcome species on this planet." He raised a hand to his chin, rubbing it in thought while he wandered over to get a look at the pod. He wanted to see how big it was, as to get an idea of how heavy it might be. To someone more suspicious, they might notice the ship was larger than what might be necessary for Ranon's current form, but to Mofuka he didn't pay that much mind if any at all. The Earthling was taking his sweet time with his little investigation too, until his senses picked up on Ari moving away from the group. Not only did he turn his head to just look, he looked directly at her. It could've been pure chance, but who would know? Of course, it helped that Ranon had spoke up and asked Ari if she were hurt. "Is somebody hurt?" The officer asked, concerned that he had missed something somewhere.
As nervous as he might be, he began to approach the shapeshifted demon hybrid calmly. "If you're hurt, I can get you help- There's no need to hide, nobody's in trouble." He did his best to explain, stopping only a short distance of the tree. Now and again he would look back towards the other two, as to ensure no one else would go wandering off. "You seem a little bit young to be exploring all by your lonesome. Er.. maybe not so much by today's standards, actually. But still, it's my job to ask- where are your parents, miss?" He wanted to be sure. The Remnant Alliance dealt with orphans all the time so he was experienced in that area, should it happen to be the case.
Citri smiled in response. "Nice to meet you too!" They shook Ranon's hand, though it wasn't that firm of a handshake. They pulled away, letting out a soft noise of surprise as they sensed that far higher, far more noticeable power level approach, Citri was somewhat on guard, to say the least! They took a few steps back, but looked a bit relieved as Mofuka began to talk and not start attacking. The Bijou was about to answer, but Ranon already answered the question about if anyone was hurt, however in the back of their mind, Citri was worried about the Magi Demon that was hiding, they didn't want to seem rude and ask questions that the disguised demon didn't want asked, so they just to leave it to Mofuka.
Citri didn't really know much about the galactic patrol, Citri knew there had to be SOME sort of space law enforcers, was this person one of them? Citri thought, but was taken out of their process of thinking as Ranon began to call to Ari - quite loudly!
Citri didn't follow Mofuka, they just assumed they were up to.. space cop business, whatever that was.. Either way, Citri had a question to ask the (apparent) supidoan in front of them!
"Not to sound rude, but i don't think i've seen someone like you before, what.. species are you?" It was hard to put a question like that into words, atleast without making it sound rude. Citri was really hoping it DIDN'T sound that rude. "No idea of you know what they are ,but i'm a Bijou, i mean, i'm MOSTLY Bijou.. i uh.. kind of lived on a planet without much other species, so that's why i'm asking!" Citri looked a bit nervous, thinking back on how they could have possibly worded a question like that better, Hopefully this tall, somewhat imposing person of an unknown species wouldn't be too mad at them.
The girl jumped a bit as she heard people calling for, nearly falling flat on her face. As Ari's amazing strategy to hid behind a tree didn't work, and two people this time, acknowledge her existence. She was going to have to say something, wasn't she? just standing there like an idiot didn't solve anything and both of asked fairy appropriate questions. Why did she have to be like this? Why couldn't she just go up and talk to them like any other regular person would? She breathed in and out, trying to not have a complete heart attack as she turned to face the situation and well, er, people.
Her movements where clearly ridged and uncomfortable, she was forcing herself to walk as she came out from under the tree, very slowly. "U-Uh, hi..? Sorry a-about... Sorry about that, I was er, picking some stuff up from back over there!" She lied, laughing nervously. "I-I... I-I am fine, also! Heh, you see I've just been travelling a lot by myself lately, hoping to bring some interesting stuff to my Dad when i get back from this, uh, big old adventure." She continued, leaning on the tree again to look like she totally everything under wraps. Hell she even gave everyone a super cool thumbs up, she's fine, everything is fine, she doesn't wanna go cry in a dark room right around know.
Saiyans- Ranon would tilt her head a bit to ponder it as she watched Mofuka go to examine her pod. She'd heard of them before, they were apparently a relatively common race - at least from the impression she got of them - and were a tough warrior race. She was a little curious about approaching one for a spar, even, to test that claim out - though one thing above all that confused her about them was... well... She'd never heard of them! U4 didn't have any form of Saiyans, and so she - being a native to U4, and having ended up in U7 through shenanigans beyond her comprehension or knowledge - found this all puzzling. Common races like that don't just pop up overnight, after all - unless something big happened, like... Really big. It just sort of added more to the overarching questions of where she was. Even if in the grand scheme of things, it didn't matter - she had no reason to want to return home, and was a wandering free spirit - but there was still something about it all bothering her, since... How would this have all happened?
As for the pod though, although the size was a little different than what a Supidoan of her size might need, she wasn't afraid to show her true form if questioned - this was just so that she could be more approachable than, say, a 9 foot lizard-monster woman. In fact, when Citri began questioning her, she'd turn her attention away from Mofuka and Ari to instead gaze at the smaller Bijou. Ranon would take a second, before chuckling with warm camaraderie, even if she barely knew this smaller pal. "That's no problem, Citri; I can understand why you're curious. As for what I am, well... Right now I'm a Supidoan!" Ranon would explain with a grin. "They're pretty well known for their agility, and they're pretty big fellas like me! But if I'll be honest- I'm just a shapeshifter. I use this form to be more approachable, since my actual shape, well, some people tend to get a little freaked out over it- so I take the shape of similarly-sized races when interacting with new people." Ranon would laugh a bit sheepishly, scratching the back of her neck. "I can show what I really am though, if you guys think you won't get too freaked - I wouldn't want to scare possible new friends away!"
Mofuka was more than a little skeptic, though still he would give the teen the benefit of the doubt and nod his head. "Alright.. Just please don't run off, okay? No one's in trouble I don't think. It's more for your own safety that you all stick around with me." Mofuka took his eyes off her for the moment, hopefully she wouldn't think that would give her a chance to bolt it. He sighed and moved back over to the pod and crouched down, starting to put one hand against the underside and the other closer to the top. The officer would pause though, as he heard Ranon mention she was a shapeshifter. "..Just know that shapeshifter's are often categorized as troublemakers. Don't go using that ability for anything nefarious while you're on Earth, okay?" The officer wouldn't wait for a response. Ranon seemed pleasant enough, so he wouldn't push the subject further than that.
It was a bit awkward having to lift something so large and spherical, though Mofuka would eventually rise from the pod's crater with it held above his head. He set it down gently just outside of it and drifted back over to Ranon and Citri before lowering himself to the ground again. "If you're stranded here, the Earth authorities will lend you a new ship, if not fix this one." He glanced back at the pod, looking it up and down in a quick once over before he looked back to Ranon. "I'm no mechanic, but I don't think that pod will be flying again. It won't be hard to replace, though you might have to do a bit of paperwork. I know I will.." He sighed deeply. Paperwork was the only thing he disliked about being an officer. He already knew he had about a two page report waiting for him as it was, given Ranon's confession to being a shapeshifter. The Galactic Patrol was super big on keeping track of those.
"That's a 'whenever you're ready' type of thing, though. I won't insist we go immediately. I'll think of it as a break." He shrugged and turned his attention back to the other two, seeing as Ari was likely still lingering by the tree like a frightened squirrel. "You two aren't in any trouble- I just wanna really emphasize that. Earth cops are scary, I get it, but I'm Galactic Patrol. I've got a little more motivation to do my work than just a government paycheck." Give Mofuka the chance and he'll talk smack on Earth's generic police officers any day. Being from the Earth's lower classes before his eventual rise to where he was now, he had a bitter taste in his mouth left by how unfair Earth's justice system could be. Surely things would have changed by now, but he couldn't help but hold some level of resentment towards them.
Maybe he just needed the slight break. He wasn't sure what had him so stressed out, but he wasn't too big a fan of how it made him act. If anything he could at least try to act a little more professional, or at the very least less irritated.
Citri waited a response - god, they really REALLY hoped what they asked wouldn't offend her - they were racing through the thoughts in their mind, what if she got so mad that she started to yell? how offensive did that even sound when saying it outloud!
Citri was relieved, and surprise once Ranon told them that they were a shapeshifter.. anxiety now replaced with confusion, bewilderment, and interest. "Oh, so you're someone who shapeshifted into.. that species?" Citri looked amazed, THAT'S what shapeshifting could do? Citri only thought it could change minor stuff - at least, that's what they've seen from people who could shapeshift.. but changing your entire species? that sounded amazing! "..Huh, that must be really advanced shapeshifting.. and sure! i mean, i may be a bit startled, but i uh.. don't mean to offend, alright?" Citri was now awaiting what Ranon could look like - noticing the spacepod, they never made the connection til now that it didn't really seem right for a supiodian.. but all Citri knew about ranon's true form right now is that it was probably large.
Citri made a response to Mofuka - again, hoping it wouldn't sound too offensive. "I uh, i doubt that they're a troublemaker! if they were, they wouldn't be as kind." Citri said, trying to "defend" ranon a bit.. even though Mofuka probably was just doing his job by stating that. "But no matter what you look like, it's not like it's going to scare me away! as far as i know about you, you seem pretty nice, and appearance isn't the only thing that matters."
Citri wasn't really paying attention to Mofuka and Ari right about now, they were just kind of focusing on Ranon, after all, it'd be rude to let the focus drift elsewhere! and Citri was again - still anxious about making someone mad.
"Oh! by the way, can i take a picture of you? i just wanna take a picture of species i haven't seen before! shapeshifted or not, it's your choice!"
