It was a cloudy and quiet day in the western lands before a roaring sound was heard into the sky. The roaring sound is a Saiyan pod flying from the sky and to the ground, where it landed in a loud crash.
It had been some time after Ranon had met Ari and co, from when she had first crashed on Earth - much like Yukaya did just now. That had been an interesting day, to say the least - and it was then that she learned that the Supidoan form she usually favored was probably not the best form for blending in, and neither was the power level she had suppressed herself at before! So now, Ranon would suppress herself a little further to not seem too out of the ordinary, and would take the form of a blue-haired Humungaloid - the closest appearance she had a handle of to the humans of this planet.
Seeing and hearing Yukaya's pod arc across the sky, Ranon would perk up curiously, before moving in its direction - who had come out here and why, she wondered. Maybe they'd be someone interesting? She had been itching for a chance to stretch her muscles, after all - though the ki she sensed from the passing pod hadn't seemed all that strong... Well, she supposed she wouldn't know until she found out, and so she would lift off and begin floating in the direction that she saw the pod crash.
The space pod that has landed started opening up to reveal a young male with black spiky hair, black eyes, and tan skin, stepping out of the pod. He and stretched and popped his muscles to loosen up.
Ranon would touch down not too far from the pod, scratching the back of her head the slightest bit as she eyeballed the man that exited it.... Nope, unless they were constantly suppressing, they weren't too much stronger than the level she was suppressing herself at right now. Well, she could still socialize a bit at least - no harm in that - or otherwise spar at the same level. It just wasn't the same though, and she was itching for someone around her level to spar with. Anyhow...
"Helloooo!" Ranon would call with a wide grin - her teeth were still sharp, almost as though she had forgotten to shapeshift those as well to a more 'human' looking set of teeth. That, or she didn't care. Either way, she would wave as she greeted the man, approaching. "Yo, you a newcomer like me?" She'd ask in a friendly fashion, hands idly placed on her hips. If he was new here, odds are he would appreciate some pointers to a nearby city or what-have-you to acclimate himself to this planet, at least from her experience with travelers. He seemed similar to the other two kiddos she had run into before though, so who knows? Maybe he was a native coming back home.
Yukaya turned to look at her and felt like that she is suppressing her power level, his black Saiyan tail waving around, "I'm just visiting home for a while."
Ranon would take note of the tail - and would tilt her head a bit curiously, watching it swish and sway. She had seen a few folks like him around - Saiyans, she's pretty sure they were called? Having originally been of U4 - which, Saiyans didn't exist in that universe - before all of the hullabaloo that led to her ending up in U7, she wasn't entirely familiar with their kind - though it had sounded like there was a lot going on surrounding Saiyans, with the Revenant-Ally-something and the Galactic-whatever. Regardless though, she'd nod and grin a bit to Yukaya. "Hell yeah! I'd consider visiting my own home every one in awhile myself, but well..."
She grew a bit sheepish, chuckling to herself "I honestly have no clue where it is anymore, I've been a bit lost, as far as looking for places I've been to before goes - it's like everything turned topsy-turvy one day for me and never turned back around. But all that aside, my homeplanet wasn't the most pleasant place either - it was pretty rough. This planet is nice though, pretty quiet." Ranon would pause for a second - realizing she was just rambling - and would, instead of continuing to rattle on, approach and offer Yukaya a handshake. "What's your name, in any case? You can call me Ranon!"
Yukaya shook her hand, "My name is Yukaya. I have been traveling the universe, and only come here when I have the chance to visit and take a break." While he didn't mind traveling the universe nonstop to continue his search, it was drilled into his head that it is important to take breaks. and what better place to do that than in the planet you are most familar with.
"Hey, that's a pretty nice deal. Have you seen anything cool out there?" Ranon would respond and ask with a grin, continuing "I'm a mercenary-slash-bounty hunter, myself- doing odd jobs here and there for the cash. Heard some things about this planet, wanted to come check it out, and besides the, well, asteroid field around this place..." Ranon paused a second to snicker to herself a bit, thinking back to that whole debacle. "... Well, besides that, it hasn't disappointed yet. I may or may not need to pick up a new ship for myself later though. It's about time I work on upgrading to something nicer anyhow, something with a bit more zip in the engine; I've been saving up a bit of zeni here and there."
"In any case, is there anywhere specific you're headed to? I was pointed towards a nearby city if you wanna walk with me," Ranon offered, gesturing in the direction of the city in question. The more the merrier, after all! "It shouldn't be too much further, at least from what I was told - though honestly I've always been kind of bad at eyeballing distances, need a ruler for these things!" Ranon laughed in a humorous fashion, seeming to be trying to get a laugh out of Yukaya as well - she found him to be a little bit on the serious and quiet side, at least as far as first impressions go.
Yukaya considered his options. It's not like he has anywhere else to go for now, and this person seems interesting enough to be around, "Sure, I'll go with you. But no funny business. Last time I accompanied someone, I nearly lost my head." That was a time that he would prefer to forget. Who would've thought that you'd get into trouble just by letting someone get close to you?
Ranon would take a second - but nodded. "Nearly lost your head? Sheesh, talk about bad company, ey? I understand, though." She'd remark, though there was an awkward hue to her remarks - she was starting to get maybe a little unsure with just how... Emotionless, Yukaya seemed to come across, she supposed. Jeez. Doesn't this guy smile or laugh at all? Well, she'd set down the path in any case - gesturing for Yukaya to follow. An awkward silence would pass for a few seconds thereafter - though she'd eventually clear her throat and ask "So, what part of this planet are you from? Anything you can tell me about what things are like, either 'round there or just on the planet in general?" She may as well learn from a local, awhile the two of them were hanging out together.
"Well, I grew up in a wasteland alone. It's amazing I even learned how to walk and talk because of that." Yukaya remembered how he spent most of his days in his childhood in solitude. Wasn't exactly the most fun times, "When I was 12, I left this planet in order to travel across of the universe. Of course, considering how slow my pod is, it's no wonder that I haven't been here in so long." Yukaya said. He wasn't wrong. It takes no more than a year for his ship to travel from planet to planet.
"Learned how to talk, all on your own?" Ranon would tilt her head, her expression clearly skeptical. In growing up, she needed her adoptive father to teach her to talk, and she was pretty sure a lot of kids were the same way - right? Even if some species had ingrained methods of socializing, words were a whole lot more complicated than grunts, or growls, or body language - even if one took their native language for granted. She'd end up in a casual backwards stride as they walked - facing Yukaya as she skipped backwards down the path, her arms folded behind her head in an easygoing fashion. "You must've learned a specific language from someone - or something - though, right?" She'd ask, adding "Where were your parents, even?" Even if Ankoku such as herself didn't have very hands-on parents, they were adapted for that - akin to certain types of reptiles on Earth. More humanoid babies though - from what she'd seen half the time - needed some parent to look over them, for at the very least a few years - and that was even being generous. Were Saiyans different, and just matured quickly or something? Since this was one of her first times actively approaching one, it was hard to say.
