It was a fairly quiet morning on Yasai. Granted the place in general was surprisingly quiet for a Saiyan homeworld. Natto had likely been the only other Saiyan owned world to have been like that. Not that Tomina would have ever known that, given the life she had led up to this point.
Tomina was in her dojo, waiting for someone to show up. Waiting was never Tomina’s forte. Granted she had made a surprising amount of progress in that regard. She had made a bit of a habit of meditating for decent periods of time. She didn’t believe in inner peace nonsense, but doing this allowed her to look at things from different perspectives. Which was something she hadn’t felt the need to do in the past.
Sitting cross legged on the ground barefoot, she expanded her thoughts and focused on the key players in the universe. If there was anything the tournament of power taught her it was that getting into your opponents mind set and trying to at least understand how they felt emotionally was paramount. So far everything had stayed balanced. The issue she was worried about the most was the demon realm.
”Nasu killing the demon king pretty much assured that there will be trouble with the demons in the future. They already made a move when that incompetent Kai showed up. It wasn’t anything too concerting though, not enough to warrant action. Of course the daughter of the demon rulers would have potent abilities.”
The demons were the primary reason Tomina had worked hard to try and get an outside perspective on them. They were the most difficult force to judge. On the one hand they had all the motivation in the world to wage war on the Saiyans if given the chance. So there was a high probability that even if the future threat wasn’t a demon, then it was connected to them in some way.
On the other hand though, Hasenya’s accounts of the future threat indicated that it hadn’t cared about alliances and just decimated everything in its path. Earth had apparently been taken over by demons in Hasenya’s future, and it became just as ruined as everything else. And when push came to shove, the demons had gone out of their way to help shore the line in the tournament of power. In other words, there was just as much likelihood of the demons fighting against this threat as being the catalyst of said events.
Tomina really missed when things were simple. If anyone wasn’t with you, they were an enemy that you killed. Now everything was so intertwined. Tomina knew more than most mortals, but she lacked the knowledge true deities had. She hoped that meditating would help her in these tough times. Whoever entered into the dojo would be greeted with Tomina trying to find some semblance of inner peace. Which seemed like a nearly impossible task for anyone with Saiyan blood in their veins.
Hasenya's sleep schedule had gone right back to mostly normal, once her training with Tomina had resumed. Normal as it may be, in reality she was just sleeping a whole lot less. If she couldn't get to bed by a certain time, she would just soldier through into the next day until she collapsed. It wasn't healthy, but she wouldn't let anything take away from her progression. If she needed to sleep extra after a training day, then so be it. But at times it was near impossible for the girl to get proper sleep, recently she was being haunted by her own memories. Ones that were previously repressed, but now they were coming back to the surface. It reflected on her health poorly, but it wasn't as if she hadn't always struggled to maintain a health sleeping pattern. In her position, anyone would struggle.
She entered the dojo quietly, letting out a sigh as she pushed the door shut behind her. "I'm not late, am I?" She asked a bit jokingly, as to break the silence in the dojo. The hybrid wasn't actually sure whether or not Tomina was actually meditating, or if they were just trying to set Hasenya up for some kind of surprise attack. If she got a response or not didn't matter, as either way she would go on to ask. "So what lesson are we gonna beat into me today?" The elemi took a couple of steps closer to Tomina, putting herself away from the door and crossing her arms while she waited to hear what her "cousin" had to say.

Tomina opened her eyes when she heard the sound of Hasenya’s voice. Her cousin had been training hard, which was good. The problem was that she had been exhibiting some behaviors that were a little troubling. She couldn't seem to get her doubts out her: in fact they only were getting worse.
“Well that depends. If you don’t start sleeping then I’m going to have to beat you unconscious.”
Tomina was only half joking when she said this. She wouldn’t bash her cousin out like that, but she was concerned with Hasenya’s lack of sleep. Something was bothering her, but her cousin wasn’t telling her what it was. She would get it out of her one way or another. Tomina sighed, rubbing the back of her hair with her hand.
“I’ve been developing a new fighting style I intend on teaching you that style. But before I beat the shit out of you, I want to talk about the future.”
"I sleep when I've got the time to." Hasenya responded vaguely, not too keen on getting onto the topic of her poor sleeping habits. "Time's a commodity, I gotta manage it wisely." They added on with a shrug. Every moment they spent not getting stronger was a potential waste, one that could cost lives if that paranoid part of her brain were right. She still wasn't close to her old strength, even if she had come a long way in a short while it wasn't enough.
She raised a brow at that last statement, not exactly sure where it was coming from. "What's there to talk about? I've told you most all of what there is to know.. The rest is kinda miscellaneous, or unrelated to anyone important- or anyone who just doesn't seem to exist in this timeline." The pinkette responded with a shrug, but they knew there was no avoiding that second part. If that's how today's training were going to start, then it would be no different from most days.
They wanted to see this new style. If it were truly brand new, she would have an edge on the threat from her timeline. They could account for Excalibur and for her mastery over fire, but they wouldn't be able to know if she picked up some brand new tricks. It would be suffice to say that it held her interest.

“I beg to differ. There’s crap going on here that we need to discuss.” Tomina climbed to her feet, her hands sliding to her hips as she gazed at her cousin sternly. If Tomina looked at herself in the mirror she might have realized she looked more like a parent in this moment than she did a cousin. That that she gave a crap about appearances when she was in front of her family.
“I have told you how my God Ki works before. Well I haven’t just been wacking a post with a wooden sword these two years. I’ve been aiming my ki sense at every shit filled crevice, taping onto Galatic nasay. I’ve even sent my own agents out looking for any leads. Aside from some kind of entity in the afterlife, I’ve found nothing. Not a single new force. But for all I know that entity has always been there and I’m only able to sense it now.”
Tomina let out an exasperated sigh, closing her eyes and slumping forward. It had all been surprisingly futal. With all the resources at her disposal she should have found something. Not only was it beyond infuriating to not locate the being she needed to pummel into oblivion, but this failure meant that a looming catastrophe that she could have prevented was now very likely to transpire.
“Unless if that being comes out of the afterlife and decides to fuck us all over, that leaves only two possibilities. Either Nasu and/or Koma decide to turn on everyone for some reason, or the demon realm is behind it all. It’s looking more and more likely that it’s them. Nasu killed their king after the tournament ended, and we’re currently in a forced ceasefire. That hasn’t stopped them from making a move though. They used magic to make a low level warrior go on a rampage recently. I feel like they were testing some weird ass technique out. But…”
Tomina opened her eyes, her bare feet padding against the floor as she made her way over to Hasenya. Despite her usual foul language her tone was deathly serious. There wasn’t any room for joking in this matter.
[color=crimson “I need to know for sure Hasenya. I love a good fight as much as the next Saiyan. But at this rate there’s going to be a full scale war breaking out between us and the demons. If they aren’t the threat l, then god knows how many pointless deaths there will be. The mortal level will be in the shitter, and well all be in danger of being erased once the probation is over. Hasenya… tell me everything. If you’ve remembered anything, or if you’ve let out anything… I need to know now. I’m running out of time: I need to find the threat before it’s too late.”[/color]
Tomina’s gaze was piercing into her cousin’s eyes. It looked hard enough to drill into her skull. Yet despite the forcefulness her demand also had a tint of desperation in it, her body quivered ever so slightly. Despite her power and bravado an inevitability that Tomina couldn’t stop on her own was coming. Hasenya was the only one who could show her the way.
