Christopher countered the Beast Thunder with his own ki energy attack, and Galen sighed in frustration. If his attack had hit, the tailed boy would be into some serious trouble, as the electricity would leave him numbed for a short while, but enough for a lot of damage to be made. But there was no use in crying over spilled milk and, as soon as the blast gained the upper hand and destroyed the lion’s face, there was still some leftover power left and it headed straight towards Galen. The human swordsman quickly draws his left hand backwards and, with his right hand he attacks the remaining of the blast with the blade of his Broad Sword, making his energy vanish completely with a skillful attack. Galen chuckled a bit.

– Amazing! You resisted one of my most special techniques! I didn’t think you would! You are quite impressive, Christopher! But with this level you can’t dream of beating me! In fact… Right now, if we continue like this, I will most definitely be the victor! I still have plenty hidden under my sleeves! And I hope you do too! I’m having tons of fun in this spar! – he said in an excited tone. Galen also used this little time to rest his body a bit. Fighting Christopher was demanding all of his strength and quite a lot of his stamina; he couldn’t be careless or it would cost him dearly. ”Trying to use the Beast Thunder won’t work now… So I can’t use my variant techniques… As far as it goes, we will be even unless I use that… But I need to wait a bit more before I resort to that… This will be my finish move if I get cornered again! But I need to time it right!” he quickly strategized inside his mind, without letting Christopher get out of his alerted eyesight.

Galen was indeed catching his breathe a little, and Christopher seemed to be allowing that. It was a good thing, since they weren’t going all out on each other. When he said they should see what their current limits were, he nodded in agreement. – Now I’m pretty sure you can handle pretty much everything I throw at you, Christopher! I have but one last trick! I will definitely use it! – he said, chuckling a bit, with an excited smile on his face. Then, he nodded with the tailed boy’s second sentence. – Likewise! If you feel like stopping, let me know and I will stop right away! I’m thrilled to see these other tricks of yours, and I will do my best right now! This isn’t something I have used very often, so, it’s like my final ace! – he admitted, laughing a bit and scratching the back of his head.

”I believe that will define the outcome of this spar. If that fails, then there’s no way I will be able to beat him, and I will be completely drained! Then, with his energy back up, he smirked with the corner of his mouth, narrowing his eyes. – Are you ready? – he asked, as he slid back into his fighting stance, with the tip of his sword pointing at Christopher’s throat. Still, Galen wouldn’t move; he was waiting the saiyan to get into his fighting stance, so he could be ready for what was about to come.

Now Galen was feeling completely rested. He exhaled deeply, feeling his body fully rested and ready for his final attack. This would be an all-out attack with all of his spirit behind him. He giggled a bit and smiled widely. – Thank you for the opportunity, Christopher! I really enjoyed this fight and I learned a lot with you! Let’s promise to grow strong! You and me, because I most definitely want to spar with you again! – he said in a kind and honest tone. – And now, since you are ready and willing to give me the first move, I will accept this gift and present you with the very best I have! – he said with a fiery determination in his tone. That being said, Galen raised both his hands above his head, with his sword, pointing it towards the skies.

– AAAHHHHHH!!!!! – Galen screamed as he let out all of his power. He was tapping into his inner power, his last resort technique, the one he saved only to extreme cases. This was the very first time he was using it in a friendly spar, but only because Christopher has been his toughest opponent so far and showed he was a capable fighter and deserved that Galen didn’t hold back. The Lone Swordsman’s ki aura increased a lot and the ground beneath him began to crack. Rocks around the area started levitating as his power level sky rocketed.

With his energy over flowing, he lowered his sword, pointing its tip towards Christopher and narrowed his eyes, burning with his will of fire. – I will attack with everything I’ve got! This is a new technique I created! I was saving it for a dire situation, but I will give you this gift! This is Galen with every ounce of his power!!! Feel it!!! FANG BLADE… - As he started announcing his attack, Galen charged forward at an amazing speed that was more than twice Christopher’s own speed. Once he reached Melee range, he would start his attack with one final scream. – TEMPEST!!! – his roar echoed all around the glade they were at as he started slashing the air right in front of Christopher plenty of times, sending a real tempest of powerful blue-colored cutting energy waves towards Christopher at an amazing speed.

After a real fury of energy waves, Galen would give one final step forward and leap in the air, once again raising his Broad Sword above his head. His aura was beginning to vanish, and that was his final move to end his special rush attack. – FULL TEMPEST! – he roared, using his superior uncanny speed to deliver one extra blow, using all of his martial arts finesse. He was going to be drained after such a crazy effort, but he was confident he could end this sparring session right here and right now. Otherwise, there was no way he could even dream of beating Christopher, and he wouldn’t have any regrets; he would have given his very best against a better opponent. Sometimes that’s just not enough.

Galen couldn’t hear what Christopher was saying due to the adrenaline kicking in; whenever he activated his Last Resort, the power surge would make him push himself far beyond his limits and, during this little time, he was completely unable to stop his attack. Christopher countered with a very strong technique, but after a few energy waves, Galen finally broke through the attacks. ”I did it! It’s my win now!!” and with that thought, he continued until his power completely drained from himself. The result? Christopher had been sent flying away with his attack and was completely defeated, while Galen felt to his knees releasing his sword from his grip, which fell to the ground. He was panting heavily and closed his eyes, as he felt a huge pain inside his chest. He grabbed it tightly with his right hand as he tried to catch his breath. – Arrff… Arrf… I’m… Drained… - he said.

Then, he slowly opened his eyes, only to be surprised by the state Christopher was at. – Dammit! – he exclaimed, widening his eyes and arching his eyebrows. He immediately jumped back to his feet, almost unable to sustain himself up due to exhaustion, but he fought it with his sheer will power. He quickly grabbed his sword and put it back on its scabbard on his back and ran in Christopher’s direction as fast as he could, stumbling as he did so. Once he reached him, he fell back to his knees to approach his sparring partner; he was injured and knocked out, but his life wasn’t in danger, and that made Galen sigh in relief. ”Thank goodness! I would never forgive myself for that! But, no time to waste! I need to take him to the tribe! They will be able to tend to his wounds and get him back into shape!” he thought to himself, making a quick nod. This little time allowed him to recover a little bit of his lost stamina and he managed to put Christopher’s body over his shoulder.

Finally, he headed towards the tribe. The spar ended with his victory, but he needed to learn how to control this power. Christopher was an opponent Galen wouldn’t be able to defeat without it and it was starting to bother him. ”If I am to make a difference, I need to improve more and more!” he thought to himself.
