The births of Androids 1 + 2

Android 21 was near his incubation pod that got him to Planet Vegeta months ago. He had just finished switching his Bade Model Plus core for an Updated core he had been saving until he could further enhance it, but ever since his little battle with Jarvis, where his head had been tore apart from his body, he realized all too well that he couldn’t delay it any further. The android could be crazy, but he had some sense of self-preservation. The new core filled his body with an amazing power, so strong that he could easily outmatch the Jarvis he initially encountered, before he had that immense surge of power. The eyes of the android glowed in bright red and, due to that; his advanced programed personality took over control for a while. – Good. I can feel an immense surge of power inside my body. My electrical ki energy is overflowing, but, still, not enough. I need to complete the enhancement of this updated core, but that’s far beyond my scientific capabilities. That dammed doctor… He didn’t include such technological prowess in my program so that I would have to always rely on him. Still… He never took into account he would eventually die. A shame, really… To be slain by his own creation. Can’t blame my brother, though. He wasn’t smart. – he spoke to himself, moving his body and testing a little bit of his new capabilities. That was when Nakiya reached him through his radio channel.

21 narrowed his eyes and listened to what she had to say in silence. It wouldn’t do him any good for her to know about his advanced personality now, and, due to that, he allowed the true android’s personality to take over. – Fuck! That bastard is getting rather arrogant! We need to do something about this little shit, 21! We truly do! He is abusing his position! But hey, shut up for a second, will ya?! Docly is here and she wants urgency! I’ve got to tell you, 21, your subjects are getting rather bold!! Let me get one thing straight with you, Duddly Docly! I will go because I want to and because you said please! But next time schedule a meeting with my secretary beforehand! I’m a busy android! – he said in a hasty and slightly irritated tone and, as soon as he closed the channel, the programed personality took over again, making the real android’s mind to fade away again. Without anything else to say, he flared the electric white ki aura and immediately flew away at his top speed towards her lab. There was no use in trying to lay low. People couldn’t sense him, and scouters could detect him anyway, being stealthy was completely possible or absolutely impossible. There were no middle ground for that. His eyes were glowing red, but, as soon as he landed in front of her lab, they became light blue again.

– FUCK! AGAIN!!!! BASTARD!!! But… - he stopped and started giggling for a while, before it became a loud laugher in front of the labs door. At this point, Nakiyas surveillance system was already seeing him. – hIUHAEUEAHUAEHIAEH!!! We won! That’s what matter! Hahaha! Yeah! We rock! Like, a lot!!! Hahahahaohaiehaeihaei!! – and he continued laughing out loud.

While he was maniacally laughing, someone opened the door, making Android 21 suddenly stop and stare at the person. Despite her appearance, it was definitely a saiyan. Her biological information didn’t deny it, and a quite weak one, by the way. She spoke to him in a polite manner, but, still, he approached his face to hers so much that his nose touched on her nose. He widened his mean light-blue eyes and he giggled a bit in a rather menacing tone. – Hooo… So you call little Docly a Master and me a Mister?! This is quite offensive, little yellow monkey girl! Or should I call you meany silly Yeley?! Hahahaha! Genius, 21! Or… Should you call myself… Overlord of the Universe, Master of All, Almighty Android 21! That fits me better, thank you very much! Now, get out of my way! This proximity is nauseating! Ugh! Biological beings and their need for attention! Annoying, right? Indeed! Quite annoying my dear self! – he said, putting some distance in between them. The android rested his hands on his waist and deeply sighed. – Then, I shall help myself to the insides of this place! Let’s see what plots and schemes little baby Docly has been up to! I truly hope is for the sake of the Red Ribbon Army, otherwise we shall have a serious problem! A serious problem indeed! – he said mostly to himself, as he started walking towards the innermost part of the facility.

His scanner already caught trace of Nakiya and, when he read her new power level, he became quite amazed. – Oh my sweet son of Kami! Little Docly is on steroids! Her power level has risen to over forty thousands, 21! Isn’t that cute?! Yes! Absolutely cute! Such power inside such a tiny fragile little evil demonical body! It makes me get emotional! Even though… For fuck sake! Hahahahaiahiaheaiheaiaehi! – and for no apparent reason he started laughing out loud again. If people in the facility weren’t familiar with the android, which most probably weren’t, they would probably feel rather nervous that someone who looked like a teenage human boy was so crazy and overly confident. – We should most definitely celebrate! I mean… Accomplishing things should be rewarded in the Red Ribbon Army, but… I’ve just realized something! Little Docly shouldn’t be working out! She should be working in! Making an army of androids and improving my already perfect self!!! That’s precisely why we wanted to see her in the first place, right 21? Actually… It was the red bastard who wanted to see her! Oh yeah! I remember it now! But, as much as I hate that shitty bossy bastard, he had a pretty good point! She may be the one to be capable of upgrading the core further!! Doesn’t mean that we wouldn’t have thought of that ourselves! He is still an annoying shitty bastard that we will likely ask her for elimination among our upgrade! Genius idea! A simple system overrun and he should be forever gone! Shortly after the laugher, though, he reached the place where Nakiya was supposed to be.

– Toc toc! Whooooo is there?! YOUR BOSS!! SO OPEN THIS FUCKING DOOR OR I WILL BLOW IT TO BITS!!! – his tone changed from jokingly to completely mad in a split of a second and then… – Forgot to be polite. Pleaaaaaase? Hihi… - and then he became polite again and giggled…

21 completely ignored the fact that the blond saiyaness decided to talk back to him. She wasn’t of any importance after all. Then, Nakiya spoke to him, saying she had some achievements to show him, and he just walked inside the laboratory looking around with a curious face, while humming some sort of old song from earth, that resemble some sort of military fanfare, that used to belong to the Red Ribbon Army, but none of them would know that, but him.



Nakiya said that she was having some advancements with her research, due to the data she acquired from him, related to the old doctor’s researches. He giggled with that and stared at the two android girls in the room. – Oh! – he exclaimed with a large mischievous smile on his face. Then, the demon scientist explained that they used to be brenchian twins. One of them seemed quite the serious one, while the other had a smile on her face. The smiling one was quick to speak and greeted him, saying it was nice to meet him and that made him giggle a little bit more.

– Polite! I like this one! Hihihi… The other seems like a pain in the ass of sorts. She didn’t spoke to me. Shame on her, right 21? Yeah, shame on her. Destroy her. – he said, becoming suddenly serious and putting both his hands on his back. He kept such a serious expression for a while, before he started chuckling a bit. His chuckle quickly turned into a brief laugh. – Hahaha! Come on, guys! I’m joking! It’s a joke! Hahhaa! Maybe with a little threat for the next impolite attitude, but still a joke, this time, for once, at this present moment! Hahaha! – he said in a more highly spirited tone, with that mischievous smile once again on his face. – I see you are making progress, nasty meany Docly! I congratulate you for that… But! Yeah, I know! Life sucks, there’s always a but… Right 21? A butt! Hahaha! – he laughed with his stupid joke. – The butt… Hehehe!... The but, I mean, is that… They look too lame! They don’t incite fear in the heart of their opponents, unlike the fearsome me! Hahaha! – he said, putting both his hands on his waist. Then, Nakiya began to explain what she used to make the two android girls and ordered them to activate some mode they had. As soon as she ordered that, they acquire an absurd arsenal of weapons, making them far more interesting in the android’s eyes. He clapped his hand once and stared at them like a kid seeing cotton candy for the very first time in life. – Ohhh! This is far cooler! Still not as cool and fearsome as me, right 21?! Yeah! Nothing is as cool and fearsome as me! But far better! I have to put a star in your report card, Docly! Mommy and daddy will be proud of you, and the good evil doctor would too… But, you see… They still can’t compare to the work of the Red Ribbon! But for cannon fodder material, they are just about perfect! Hihihaihahaiheihaihe! – he said, with an excited and almost maniacal laugher.

Then, his face suddenly become far more serious. – By the way, Docly! I need your assistance, and as a good minion, I hope you will abide! You see… I’ve used my updated core now, since some bastards were showing to be far stronger than my records could anticipate. While it’s powerful, it is still rather incomplete and I’m stuck in this form not worthy of my mind. I wonder if you could finish this core of mine. You will be useless if you can’t accomplish as much, right 21? Yeah, absolutely useless… It would be a shame! A real shame indeed! His eyes became bright red and after that his expression became quite serious, like never before. – Demoness Nakiya, I apologize for this annoying behavior of the natural personality. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m the Artificial Human number 21, alias Android 21. – 21 changed from water to oil and his tone was rather cold and calculating. He seemed like a complete different person now. – I’m the true goal of the Red Ribbon Army, the safety program known as Code Red. – he finished introducing himself.

The Android was so stiff it seemed like he had been frozen. Even his bright red eyes weren’t moving, just staring deep inside Nakiya’s own. He showed no emotions to her compliment or words, and just patiently listened to whatever she had to say. And Nakiya obviously had plenty of questions. Despite his eyes and attitude, nothing else seemed to have changed in Android 21’s personality, and, as soon as she finishes asking questions, he began to answer with a cold tone. – Android 21 is the product of modifying a human being. When alive he was a sixteen years old human named Quartz, who had an easy-going personality and a deep curiosity. Being turned into an Android by the Red Ribbon is a painful procedure. That, together with the changes made to the brain, tends to break people’s mind and drive them insane. This is not a problem since we usually run a complete personality override to adapt the vessel to the needs of the Army, which, together with the restricted freedom we are giving, helps developing a new, unique personality. – he started explaining, pausing for a bit to allow Nakiya to follow his line of thought. – However, my work wasn’t complete due to the destruction of the remains of the Red Ribbon Army by a group called the Z-Fighters. This personality was made, but I’m not bound to any of their intended goals, but one: to restore the Red Ribbon Army. Due to the sudden halt in their work, I’m not a slave, but my own being. Still… I share this body with the wicked personality that remained with Quartz’s broken mind. – he said, without any apparent emotion.

– I’m not an emergency back-up, but a whole personality sharing this one vessel. I simply allow him to take control most of the time so I can preserve myself and allow my enemies to underestimate me. Since we are allies, I calculated and reached the conclusion that, at the present situation, allowing Quartz to run wild would damage this business relationship and I have no interest in that. Now, for the next question. – He paused and, from his eyes, a hologram appeared. In the hologram there was an image of a saiyan wearing some earthling orange dogi and a unkempt hair. – My first goal was to kill that person, Son Goku. He was the ultimate enemy of the Red Ribbon Army, but that is now irrelevant, since he is long dead. My second goal was to protect and restore the Red Ribbon Army, which was then set as my primary goal when they reached the brink of destruction. My third goal was to gather the dragon balls, wishing orbs capable of granting whoever gathers them all a wish, and restore Commander Red’s life. I’m not bound to that nor do I have interest. – he said. The hologram changed to a short ginger man with an eye-patch and a suit and then he made the hologram disappear. – Right now my goal is to restore the Red Ribbon Army, yes, but for my own goals. If you so insist I share it, then so be it. I want to rule Earth, use its resources to build an empire of Androids, enslave the living creatures and spread my dominion over the entire universe. I’m Immortal and I seek power. – he said without ever changing his tone.

– Red Ribbon Army had three ways to develop Androids. The first and most outdated one was using pieces of dead humans and connecting it together through machinery. It generates a weak immortal Android, but makes it impossible to program a personality completely. They are quite troublesome, so they stopped this line of production after number 12. – he informed. – After that they started varying. Number 13 to 16 were fully mechanical. They had high power output, but they lacked improvisation and self-consciousness, although some claim they could slowly develop it. I wouldn’t know. I have no record on that matter. Numbers 17 and 18 were like me and my twin android sister, number 22, humans turned into androids, but not fully. In that light, you could say we are more like Cyborgs than actual Androids. Finally, numbers 19 and 20 were like the fully mechanical ones, except for number 20, who kept a fully human brain. Number 20 was the Doctor who created us all. – he revealed, not changing his cold tone for a single second. Then, she said she could only imagine the damage such procedure caused to a human mind and asked if he wanted Quartz to be suppressed.

– I don’t. Like I said, he is a good asset and gives me leverage on people. I can catch most people off-guard due to his personality. I want, however, to have an easier control over him. As of now I can only maintain my true personality for about three minutes, and then I need to recharge for a whole day. I want Quartz to live, but for my program to have priority, not needing to leech on the core’s energy using proxies. – he explained. – How annoying he behaves is irrelevant to me. – he pointed out, emotionless. Then, Nakiya proposed they allied themselves. She would help him with the Red Ribbon Army and he would help her reclaim a throne. His scanners were working like crazy trying to get data on which throne she was willing to take, but they couldn’t reach a conclusion and, for the first time, he showed some emotion as he narrowed his glowing red eyes. – Data not found. I have no information on a throne that would be capable of being inherited by you. Explain and I might consider this alliance. – he said, back to his cold tone. If Nakiya was sharp enough, she would’ve noticed that even Code Red wasn’t fully depleted of emotion.

The android nodded when she said she needed more than three minutes to be able to by-pass his brain. – On top of that, the updated core I’m using as my source of power right now is incomplete. If you can fully repair it, I should be able to power up a little more. This will require serious changes to by body too, as it will need some deeper mechanization, and I don’t really care about aesthetic changes, as long as I can still be recognized. Android 22 is still somewhere in the universe and changing too much would hinder my chances of allying myself with her. I care not for my previous life’s memories or any of those emotion-filled reasons, but this reason is fair enough: keep the changes to a minimal. Taking away my core will also almost fully deactivate me. I still have some safety programs capable of acting and you will be wise not to try anything funny. – he warned her in a cold tone, but there was a bit of threat into it, showing, once again, a small glimpse of emotion, but just slightly. – I’m sure you understand me not trusting you entirely. But I believe it’s something we may be able to build with a longer business relationship. – he added.
