Nasu life had been quite crazy the last few days. He had become Overseer, started training Jie Shan into the Soy School, and even his brother, who was supposed to be dead, reappeared with shocking news: Atsuko and Cambia were their sisters. That was just too much and he couldn’t handle that anymore, he needed something to shift his focus a bit, and he had the perfect thing in mind: search for Karota using Miso’s coordinates. He locked his scouter in the northern mountain region of the planet, and immediately flew towards the area, using all of his speed. Due to that, he couldn’t keep his power suppressed to continue his energy saving training, but that didn’t bother him much. For the time being it should be fine. It took Nasu about five minutes to reach the general area indicated in the coordinates his uncle gave him. ”It’s here! Now I need to try and find her with both my scouter and my ki sense!” he thought to himself, as he scanned the area, but got nothing! The whole area seemed like a completely desolated place. Not even animals seemed to live there.
The new Overseer didn’t give up and kept on searching for any trace of energy in the area. Hours have passed and still no sign of her. The young saiyan warrior sighs in irritation and lands atop of one mountain and sit there for a while, with frowned brows and narrowed eyes. His thumb massaged his chin while he tried to figure out a way to find her”Where the hell is she?! Dammit! Did she leave the planet? That would be quite terrible! I need her power and I need her knowledge.” he sighed in frustration once again. As of now, Nasu had but one counselor in the Alliance, and that was Miso. Kyuri was still being reconstructed ever since the incident with Etorin. And Miso wasn’t the wisest person. Nasu could be conceited, but he knew he and Miso alone couldn’t rule by themselves if they wanted the Alliance to be the top faction in the whole universe. They needed more knowledge and wisdom, and Karota had plenty of that. On top of that, Karota was also a fierce warrior and a martial arts master. She was a hybrid too and could tap into that crazy power boost Jie Shan had in his arsenal, and Nasu could definitely use that.
But he would have to wait all the way until the night. When he was about to fall asleep, tired of searching over and over again, he sensed a quick spike in power. The sudden rise in power indicated a power level of almost seventy five thousand. When Nasu turned around, he was hit by a powerful punch to the face. – Ki Blast Thrust! – the punch was so powerful that Nasu’s scouter was sent flying away, as the saiyan sailed through the air, hitting a rock nearby and completely destroying it. As soon as that happened, the energy signature disappeared and Nasu looked around the area. He was angered! His brows were frowned and he gritted his teeth, with a vein popping out in his left temple.
– Who has the balls?! – he roared, looking around as he tried to sense the ki energy. His scouter was rolling down the mountain and would probably be too damaged to be of any use until repaired. – Come out and face me like a saiyan!! – he demanded, still unable to find the person. Then, undetected by him, the person appeared again and sledgehammered the back of his head, sending him through the ground like a meteor, making a hole in the mountain. This was getting overly annoying, and that person was with a death wish! Nasu had enough and he screamed in anger as he used his Explosive Wave to completely destroy a large piece of the mountain, making himself free of the surrounding stone. But, as the energy vanished, still with no trace of ki energy anywhere, he was once again hit by a kick to the back of his neck. If he wasn’t as strong as he was and wasn’t alert, he would probably be knocked out now. Nasu rolled in the air for a few feet, before he managed to stop midair and turn around. Then, he saw it: a short 5’2” saiyaness with emerald eyes. She used a simple breast piece of white saiyan battle suit, with a reddish jumpsuit underneath, covering only half of her arms. She used more baggy pants of the same color of her jumpsuit and a yellowish belt wrapped around her waist, with the knot on her left side. Her feet were covered by some sort of monk-style black shoes and she had reddish wristbands in both arms. It was Karota.

– Slow and clueless. Did you really become the Soy Master? I’m disappointed. – she teased him. Nasu didn’t like her tease and got even angrier. – Why the hell did you attack me like that, you crazy woman?! – he roared. Karota giggled a bit, covering her mouth with her hand with a mischievous feature. – To test you skill. Still too immature and quick to anger! Hihi. You remind me of your dad in a way, and your mom in another. – and that comment was enough to make Nasu chill down a bit. The young Overseer sighed and his expression became more serious.
– I’ve been looking for you for a while now. – he said, and she rolled her eyes in her orbits. – That’s quite obvious, isn’t it? Why would you bother to come to this desolated place if you weren’t? – she teased him once again, and Nasu sighed again. ”Damn she is annoying…” he thought. – Karota, I want you to come back to the Alliance. I need you in the council. – he said, and, once again, she giggled, almost like she was mocking him. Nasu frowned his brows. – You want me to go back? Hmm… I don’t know. I liked your parents and I like your uncle from time to time, but… You haven’t earned my trust, so, why would I assist you? That’s an interesting question, don’t you think? Hihi. – she asked with that mischievous and annoying feature. Nasu growled a bit, but was doing his very best to control his rage; going all angry with her wouldn’t help convincing her and he knew that all too well. Then, he took a very deep breath and slowly exhaled.
– Look… I may not be like my parents and, although I want to honor their legacy, I want things to change too. I’m not happy with the state the Alliance was left in, and I believe it became too dependent on them, and this is not true strength! We need to be a faction, Karota! And in order to be a faction, I need your help, as well as Kyuri’s help, uncle Miso’s and other worthy allies. – he said, with a fiery determination in his eyes, as he did the very best he could to stay as humble as he could manage. – I want to destroy our enemies, and show our strength to the universe! I may make some mistakes along the way, and that’s precisely why I need your help! It pains me greatly to admit that and to be here, asking! I’m used to order people through respect of fear, I don’t care! But… I can’t force you to truly help me, so… For the Alliance’s sake, come back to the Soy Capital with me and claim your position as counselor once again! – and as he finished his speech, Karota started clapping and giggling which made him gaze away, embarrassed and irritated. ”Damn woman!” he muttered to himself.
– Such an honest speech, I like it! – she said, with a final clap and a happy smile, just for her feature to go back into the mischievous expression afterwards. – But… I still don’t trust you! If only those words could convince me, I would be a complete fool and completely worthless of being a counselor, don’t you think? – and Nasu’s growl in response was satisfactory for her. –Also, since you lack a LOT of skill, although you are a martial arts master… So surprising, considering how badly I was beating you! – she said, and he interrupted her. – Stop humiliating me! I won’t stand for that anymore! – he exclaimed, clenching both his fists with an angered expression.
But his angry face didn’t scare her at all. – What you attitude, kid! Anyway… As I was saying before you impolitely interrupted me with your little whining… I could beat some wisdom into you, if you accept to become my student. How about that, little Nasu? Should I teach you how to be a warrior? Hihi. – and that final tease was really tough for him to withstand. Regardless of him wanting to be trained in her martial arts, to be offered that whole in such a way was hurting his pride. But then he was in between the sword and the cliff. If he said no, Karota would never go back to the council and he needed her. If he said yes, he would have to swallow his pride and accept being treated as a stupid child for a very long time, while he trained under her. He closed his eyes and thought for a while, until he took another deep breath and shrugged. – If that’s what it takes… Fine! I will be your student! If I pass your tests, you swear to serve me as council for the rest of your life! Do I have your word? – he asked, and then Karota laughed out loud. – You are insane, kid! Hahahahaa! I won’t ever serve YOU! I will serve the Alliance, yes, but don’t ever mistake it for serving you! Are we clear? – she said, staring him into his eyes. Nasu rolled his eyes in annoyance. – So much for gratitude for having me save your daughter! – he muttered. – Oh, but I’m giving you this chance because of that gratitude! Otherwise I wouldn’t even bother giving you a chance! – she said, winking at him.
And with those words, she completely won against him; Nasu couldn’t find anything else to say and opened his mouth only to give himself the trouble of closing it. He was completely annoyed, but, at the same time, he had accomplished what he wanted: he would train under the powerful Wolf School, and possibly correct any flaws his fighting style still had. Karota had spared against Natto plenty of times in her life, and every time they agreed not to use sheer power to define the outcome of the match, the hybrid would be the victor. She was the most accomplished fighter he had ever known, making it up for her lower power level. With her guidance, he knew he would become better than his father one day, and with a new council filled with skilled people in different areas of knowledge, the Alliance could become better.
Of course Nasu wanted to have ultimate power, like a King or an Emperor, but he recognized that having a strong structure was far more important and, as long as he was being a good leader, respected by the higher ups and by the lower ranking ones too, perhaps in this second case, by fear, he wouldn’t need to be scared about someone trying another coup d’état. It would require a lot of him, but he was determined, and with that in mind, he nodded. – Alright. Then we have a deal. When do we start? – he asked. – Give me a week, and I will meet you at that dojo. I take it I will keep my rank as Colonel, right? – and Nasu nodded.
With that being set, they parted ways. His training under the Wolf School was about to begin.
