Following an information about a stranded ship in a close by asteroid field Odrog set out to investigate the ship and search for the possibility of taking the ship or salvaging it for usable parts. In the company of Android 22 the two warriors set out in their spacepods.
After around two hours of travel the medium sized cargo ship came into view. The vessel stood still in the middle of the asteroids showing no signs of activities. A quick scan soon revealed that most of the systems were down, still enough was working to allow the safe infiltration of the couple in the ship.
The space pods docked at the cargo hold, inviting the warriors into a cold and dark room filled with containers. Looking at the scene Odrog turns to his companion saying:
- Let's search the place. Stay close and report any movement.
After arriving at the spaceship, Plasma was received with surprise and soon after, horror. He began knocking out three members of the crew and proceeded destroying the equipment and machinery of the ship. Following the pipes, he reached the core and broke it. As the crew weapons have no effect on him except making him mad, the situation became a game of cat and mouse. And he was the cat. And he was hungry.
*Present*
Sounds began to echo through the ship, awakening the bio-android from his hibernation on the ship's core room. His joints crackle at every movement, hibernating fluids are pushed away from his body, his organs slowly began to re-adapt to his normal metabolism. A side-effect of the sleep is that his body is now smaller, but no power was lost. Crawling through the ventilation tunnels, he arrives at the nurse room, where the last of the crew are kept, hibernating, for two purposes: first as meal to the bio-android after his sleep. Draining one of the captives, Plasma awakes another, that begins to scream in fear seeing the dreadful scene, fulfiling his other purpose: Bait. The dreams kept coming in Plasma's sleep, but even his wishes for answers couldn't surpass the only thought on his mind:
'Must feed.'

The Maker’s orders were clear: explore the ship and find, well, whatever there is to found in an abandoned ship. It was not her job to question not to criticize, only to serve the Maker in his quest to restore Red Ribbon and avenge the commander’s death by the hands of that hateful Saiyan which name she couldn’t quite remember.
Amidst the darkness a scream could be heard, signaling that they weren’t the only ones in the ship. Oh, of course they weren’t the only ones in the ship. Her bio-sensors immediately detected life readings a little far off from the entrance, most of them not posing any risk for her combat capabilities but one among the others that could almost come close to her superior android body made only to restore the glorious Red Ribbons.
– WE’RE NOT ALONE IN HERE, MAKER. I SENSE HOSTILITY.
Her voice was robotic, lifeless. Maybe in the past that android could pass more easily for a normal human, but the improvised and limited repairs made her a soulless puppet with only her basic directives to protect her master. That and, well, some unforeseen complications in her actions and personality.
– TODAY WOULD BE A FINE DAY FOR YOU TO DIE, MAKER.
The dark ship was silent for only a few moments after our arrival. Screams soon began to echo throughout the previously silent ship, proving that the abandoned ship wasn't as abandoned as was assumed. The android I brought with me imediately started to scan the vicinity, locating life signals inside the structure.
"WE’RE NOT ALONE IN HERE, MAKER. I SENSE HOSTILITY.", she said.
Just as 22 said, I came to sense the ki from whatever was out there. Somewhere up ahead was a small weak ki and one I would have trouble dealing with by myself. Luckily I managed to finish the repairs on this machine. Her strenght should be enough to deal with something of this level.
- Yeah, I can feel it 22. Let's move out, and be sure to protect me.
Just as I finished giving out her orders she spoke in response. "TODAY WOULD BE A FINE DAY FOR YOU TO DIE, MAKER."
- Of course it is... Wait, what? You're supposed to protect me, not let me die! PROTECT!
- Argh, I really shouldn't have skipped so many programation classes back at the army.
This was probably just a small bug on her programing. After we got out of this place I would have to review her main code, but at that moment our priority was investigating the source of the scream. After supressing my ki I signed for 22 so that she walked ahead of me.
At the nurse room Plasma is just finishing his last meal, silencing the crew forever. He then begins to hear footsteps and smells the air.
'Time to meet my guests.'
Walking through the ventilation tunnels of the dark spaceship following the sounds and scent of the new arrivals, the bio-android reaches a good viewing point, a place that hid his body with exception of his big yellow eye, and check the duo through the vents: a female with short hair and a expressionless face that made Plasma wary of her, and trying to hide behind her a small dark-green being that looked like an easy prey if not for the girl between them.
Plasma then take position to charge, taking advantage from the darkness, and wait for the chance.
The bio-sensors detected the approach of the hostile being through the ventilation tunnels and that made Code Red instantly begin the directive of protecting the Maker. Weren’t for the advanced technology of her creation, that dark and cold corridors would make them an easy prey for the lord of that accursed ship, but Android 22 could detect movement and life signs as if it was one of her five senses. As the mysterious being waited, she would too lie in wait for it to make a move while her priority was the safety of her boss. Sometimes she would feel like there was something missing in her strategy, like someone were supposed to do the attacking while she focused in the defense, but nothing on her database would indicate this course of action. Was she part of a squadron built on teamwork? If so, why the Maker wouldn’t say anything to her?
There were holes in her programming and she couldn’t trust even herself. Commander Red should be brought back to life at once so she could end her mission once for all instead of letting those doubts consume her.
So, for each step of the Maker she would be extremely careful to always be between him and the hostile being in absolute readiness to lift a barrier should any hostile maneuver occur. She would do the defense and… What was supposed to happen after that again?
As we advanced through the dark tunnels of the ship the screams subsided leaving only the silence in it's place. The small ki I had felt was now gone, but the stronger one started to come closer. Slow and steady we came closer to the stronger ki. I could feel it close above, probably in the ventilation or cable ducts. Could it be an animal that escaped it's confinement? The cargo we saw back in the hold didn't support that theory, so maybe an invasor.
There was a possibility that whatever it was had some inteligence, so now was the time to decide witch path to follow. Attack it by surprise or try and negotiate. The latter would only be possible if it were an intelligent being and if, whoever it was, were willing to listen. The screams from earlier sugested that such an aproach was a stupid choice, however, if I'm to create my own army I'll have to take some risks.
- 22, stop. Hey you! We know you're up there. Come down now or we'll make you come!
I was sure that whoever it was 22 would be able to handle the situation. I just hope that bug doesn't interfere with her fighting protocols. As soon as they reveal themselves I'll know if my gambit paid off.
Surprised by the small being ultimatum and the fact that he was discovered that easily, Plasma ponders for a second.
' They saw me? How?...no, they knew about me already...'
Re-thinking his strategy, Plasma analyze the situation:
' I may pull back and try another ambush...but they might still find me again. I can leave them here and take their ships...but I would have no source of food and no coordinates to another planets. A full frontal attack isn't the best in this kind of situation, without info I could end up being overpowered...but alas...*sinister glare*...I never lost yet.'
The bio-android then begins to charge his ki and then blast it out, filling his body with energy.
The Maker tried to reason with the hostile being creeping in the shadows, to not avail. The android’s bio-sensors immediately detected a large expansion on the previously detected vital signs as if the creature itself had undergone an instant process of evolution, and if the android previously believed that she would have no problem subduing the enemy, that twist would make her doubt herself if the Code Red was capable of such a thing.
Like an unnatural reflex, the AI instantly made her spread her arms and activate the Android Barrier (ST-1) to protect herself and the Maker against the vicious rush of that hostile creature. It was then that she finally laid her eyes on the enemy and saw a grotesque being that her instincts said that should not be. Possessing a Power Level of 11,992, the readings classified the blue insectoid thing as simultaneously a Saiyan, a Namekian and a Kold Demon as if it were three beings at the same time. Just like the form it apparently evolved seconds ago, the being seemed unnatural down its very DNA.
The creature bumped itself against 22’s barrier, closely shattering it on its first assault. Should it attack a second time she would have her doubts if her protection would endure, so it was time for her counter attack. Confidently, Code Red only maintained the Barrier and waited for the second half of the action, but no attack came. Looking around, she only saw her and the Maker versus the creature… So what precisely was her expecting?
– I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO KILL THIS GENTLEMAN BEHIND ME, MY KIND SIR.
Android 22 said that, but at the same time she was fiercely protecting the Maker even at the cost of her own life. And even if the creature had chosen to ignore her and focus the attack on Ordog, the Bas was too inside the barrier so the attempt would be futile.

As I finish saying my ultimatum, the target reacts. The ki I felt before starts welling up and growing as the roof of the corridor bursts open with an energy blast. The explosion would be worrying were I alone, but luckily 22 activates her shield protecting us both from the atack. The owner of the ki now stands before us, it's energy stronger than a moment ago. I focus my attention as the dust settles and look at my target, a...
- WHAT THE HELL!? Is that some kind of mutant space giant cockroach?
Eh... I mean... Whatever that thing is it surely has some strong power. I don't know if it came down because it understood what I said or simply because of the noise. Either way, it should prove usefull. Just as I was thinking how to deal with the cockroach 22 let's another comment slip by.
- GODDANMIT 22! ME GETTING KILLED DOES NOT FULFILL THE PROTECT ORDER!
I really need to look over this bug of hers. At least it seems to be only on the speech center. But getting back to the order in business.
- 22! ATTACK IT AT ONCE, BUT DON'T KILL IT! I'LL HOLD IT BACK. ODROG SPECIAL!
Just as I order 22 I focus my mind on the thing ahead. My psychic powers should prove hard to overcome even by something this strong.
*[ST-1] Odrog Special: Using his psychic powers, Odrog paralises his opponents leaving their defense open for other attacks.[Stuns for 1 turn]; STAMINA: 2/3*
As the small green thing stop shouting to the girl it performs a serie of movements, finishing with a strange pose. Soon Plasma`s movements began to slow to feel heavier, until they stop altogether. Confuse for an instant, he finally relate the phenomenom to the little one weird dance.
`Huh...that was unexpected, I complete left it out of my calculations, and this one too, looks like she can at least defend herself properly, her technique seems prety similiar to mine own...Wait a sec...`
Watching closely now, Plasma takes notice of a mark on the girls belt: a red geometric figure, much like a hourglass dropped horizontally, with two `R` in it. He seems to recognize it from somewhere but...
`ARGH!!!!!!!!`
An agonizing pain runs throught the bio-android head as images start to appear in his thoughs and settle on an image of two humanoid shadowy doing what looks like cheering him. Each of them has the same belt as the girl, could she be related to his past somehow?
`Is it worth a try to comunicate with her? But I can`t talk, at least not yet, something tells me I will be able to do it when I evolve...FUCK! I WANNA EVOLVE NOW!!!!!!!`
Plasma drops his power to a minimum hoping the little one hold true to the words he has told to his partner.

The Maker ordered the attack. Non-lethal, in which for an instant sounded uncharacteristically un-douchebag in comparison to what she was expecting. From where that feeling had come from and why would she always suppose the worst from him? There were holes in her programming, but none of them would affect her prowess or her capacity to bring Commander Red back to life, so they were irrelevant. A malfunction, maybe, but something inside urged her to not let the Maker just take it away. As it she was forgetting something important.
To attack she would have to quit the protecting, and it was directly against her primary directive. Her instinct said that she was the shield, not the lance, but it was not her place to question a direct order from the Maker. There was a hole in her database and that hole had cost an entire millisecond in her reaction in obeying the order. Irrelevant, considering the situation, but should the delay increase in the far future it may begin to pose a problem in her grand mission. A pink glow formed around her right hand, forming a sphere of energy which the thrown in the direction of her target. Strike the enemy, but not to kill. The orders of the maker were absolute.
– POWER BLITZ!
She was thinking too much. Questioning too much. And none of it helped her mission in the slightest, so why was she second guessing every action she herself took? It was not her place to attack and it never was. She was built to protect, and even then to protect everyone she hated because she already failed everyone important to her.

Just as I ordered, 22 attacks the creature in front of us. It was almost a moment too late that I noticed it's power level dropping, just as 22 started her attack.
- HOLD IT 22!
Could it be that this thing is capable of understanding our words? It's action right now was completely uncaracteristic of a wild beast acting only on instinct. Did it think better as it saw the threat the two of us posed? HA! I knew nothing could stand in the way of MY MIGHT! now let's confirm if it really can understand us.
- 22, stand ready. If it tries anything funny I want you to subdue it.
As I finished saying I turn to the alien in front.
- You. Thing. Do you understand what I'm saying?
I look at it for a few seconds before coming to the realization that maybe it doesn't have the necessary anatomy to pronounce words.
' Well, at least he is not lying. Maybe he needs me for something, or just my power, what might it be I will be using them also.'
Extending one hand with one finger lifted, Plasma nods with his head, and now showing two fingers he denies. The weird thing is: Plasma could have defeated the duo, and now he feels his body metabolizing more of his late meals into energy making him stronger and more than a match for them. Oh well, that's better anyways.
Turning to 22, Plasma points to the emblem on her belt, then to himself, then back to the belt, then back to him.
' I mean...I came looking for this thing and just as I though it would take forever to find it, here it is, how much luck do I have. Now please, pretty please with a cherry on top, understand what I'm telling you people!'
The Maker said to attack and immediately after said not to attack. Was it a test? Did she fail? A last ditch movement made her miss the energy ball and purpose and blow a large part of that abandoned spaceship. A shame, given that was a golden opportunity to accidentally kill her master in the explosion without really intending to.
– DARN YOU. DID YOU SAW THROUGH MY MOVEMENTS? – The android asked what could be perceived as a totally random question. She could easily hide her intentions, but why would she do that? The Maker was the enemy.
The creature approached her, pointing to the Red Ribbon emblem and her belt, and tried to signal something. The Red Ribbon and it… Was he an enemy or an ally? And why would he talk directly to her and not to the Maker? She was her master’s tool, an android made to serve and protect the glorious ideals of her superiors… So why was he talking to her? She was confused.
– TELL ME, YOU ABERRANT CREATURE, DO YOU KNOW THE LIFE AND HISTORY OF THE GREAT COMMANDER RED?
If it was an ally of course it would know. The Red Ribbon existed only to serve the ideals of the great martyr and avenge his death at the hand of the hateful saiyans. And if it was an ally, maybe it would help her in knowing the most important question: why the Maker was the enemy?
