This new world was special. Much different from the Earth he had so barely recalled living on. It was..wholesome. Like there were people who cared for how things worked and moved. As if the inhabitants were happy and were okay with the next day to come. It was something many could appreciate. This amnesiac walking organism would take advantage of this; For his stomach quaked and trembled in hunger. And if the people who lived on this Earth were okay with finding out what the next day hailed..then they would surely oblige to sating his need to grow. Correct? Correct. He would hope this was as he expected.
This theory was to be tested in due time. As the larval formed organic body had began scuttling across the plains of a wasteland. His tiny feet throwing him forward, slitted eyes darting from side to side. Direction to direction, carefully picking and dissecting key details of where he stood to obtain a better understanding of things as he saw them. From the incredibly large, to him, trees to the green and brown of the dirt paths he crossed. All the while remaining diligent and keeping his forward motion of progression. Small thoughts and ideas circulating within the small creatures cranium. His brain toiling and chugging feverishly. Trying to fully understand how things worked around him and how different things were from..whatever place was so familiar to him. Never the less, he may have as well forgotten everything about this parallel earth he was supposedly so familiar with. It was a waste of brain power and cells. The organic life form needed every single cell available to him. Not one ounce of intelligence was to be wasted on anything detrimental to evolution.
That aside, his seemingly endless travel had finally bore fruit of accomplishment. For he had finally arrived to a new town. A small one, at that. The name undisclosed, only because of its incredibly small population of a mere fifty or so. Characterized by the many homes and healthy, fluorescent lighting that was cast. A haven for nature lovers, one could say. It was quite the area to explore in depth. Some good could most certainly be drawn from this. Some food and some kind of knowledge on what the earth's nature lovers would most certainly keep him alive and kicking. The more the merrier, as it would all pile into his oncoming evolution. He could not reside as a mere larvae for much longer. Even if it was the case that he had been trapped in this cicada like shell for but moments, he despised it with a dislike so strong one would think he was cursed to remain within it for several millennia. It was clear that despite having a serious case of irreversible amnesia, he was oddly used to his original, perfect body. Oh, well..
As Hemato entered the small town, his eyes had locked onto many things in a span of but a few minor seconds. It was currently night time, so only a few souls were out and about at this time of night. Men, two of them. Children, few. Only about five, two of them teenagers and both of the opposite sex. The other three all kids and male. He'd have to catch them when they were unsuspecting and in a setting in which he could eat their insides without fear of attention being grasped of him. For now, he'd simply observe and size the men up. Now, both of these men were of a good height. Approximately six feet in height and quite brawny. Guards, were their occupations. Hemato's eyelids had narrowed, legs taking him beneath blades of grass. His small body taking him about and carefully traversing the ground so that he would efficiently sneak around and find one of the few children about. One had strayed from the others, thankfully.
Following this one, Hemato had quickly lunged unto the child's face. Hugging him and blocking his mouth from opening. A small stinger pressed to the target's throat and drinking him in a matter of seconds. The child becoming...well, nothing. Just the clothes remaining and even so, the articles of wear lying limply on the floor. The life forms size increasing a good amount, so that he wasn't so small anymore. Pushing him to approximately two feet in size, head down abdomen. The next two were to assume the same fate, unfortunately..for them. As Hemato cornered the small victims and lunged onto them. Refusing them the right to scream for mercy and ultimately taking their lives for himself. Drinking them clean. Leaving only clothing in their wake. The guard assumed the same fate, burnt to crisps and drunk whilst in shock. All of this permitting the insect to obtain a bigger body and eventually the option to shed. And this option was made to use. For after absorbing the guards and children, Hemato had swiftly scuttled to a corner. His abdomen and head turning to a pale white and eyes blanking out. Seconds being consumed before an eerie crack had sliced open his back.
A slimy, oozing mess breaking out from it's imprisonment. Black wings fluttering violently. Tearing the shedded husk apart. Liberating a toxic and poison purpled larva free of it's skin. The first step to growth had arose. No longer a cicada like being, but now a humanoid, Hemato had groaned. He still bore a beak like mouth and black wings, but he at the same time appeared much much more young and childlike. Not to say he wasn't. Technically, he was still but a teenager. However, this wasn't to be realized until his next step as a living organism.
He had to admit. He kind of like this body. It wasn't half bad and it did do the job. His arms had been stretched out, making him accustom to this state. He was still considered to be in his larval form, but now bad the height and appropriate visage to meet and speak to the people on this planet without being stepped on or misconstrued to be a hideous bug. He had stepped out, a hand raised and pressed to his neck. Applying a slight of pressure to initiate a relaxation of muscle. Cracking his neck, two sounds making this clear. The cracks loud and full, in a sense. A light buzz also sounding off, as his wings were pushing off the slimy water off of him. Leaving him dry and his body immediately used to this change in physique. He was, in a sense, battle ready and self defense ready, too. It was nice. His fingers uncurled from fists and then curled back, nails digging to skin and remaining comfortably there. Raising his chin and locking his now, more humanoid eyes to his hand, he spoke to himself lightly.
"Perfect..this isn't it, but I'm getting there. Only three more bodies to go. No increase to muscle and this is still larval like. This beak is has remained as well..that's proof enough. I guess that it'll go away and I'll have my strength as time moves onward. If not, then I'm in for a hell of a time." Hemato noted. Hand brought up, and his youthful fingers gently grazing the yellow mouthpiece implanted on his face. It's segmented texture felt out. The tips of his fingers falling across each segment. It was strange. It felt strange. He had forgotten what it was like to be this bug like being and not his original, perfect and humanoid body. Lowering his fingers, he moved his eyes from left to right. Taking in now, his new level of height. He'd have a much easier time traveling now. Thankfully. He wouldn't have to scuttle, crawl or use four kegs to traverse distances now. He hated doing that, as it felt oh so degrading. Using two legs, was the way to go. Arms swaying swiftly from side to side as the Bio Android walked away from his removed husk, he tried making himself as inconspicuous as possible. Keeping a calm composure and his shoulders at an even level of elevation. Not slouching and appearing very confident with his step. The dead of night blanketing him greatly, as it prevented complimenting to be locked unto him. It took but mere minutes to escape the town and reenter the over world of the planet.
The town virtually untouched, save the few victims needed to ascend size. The organic android moving quickly in the blink of an eye. Moving onward and retaining a set speed of a great several miles per hour. His hands thrown out back, and eyes looking forward. Running in a typical ninja's style, building speed and cutting through the air proficiently. The next town he'd visit just over the horizon and awaiting his imminent arrival.
