Nakiya couldn’t help the sigh that escaped her lips as she sat lazily upon her throne. She was holding her datapad in front of her, passing her finger over it again, and again, and again, reviewing all the data pertaining to that day. It consisted of everything from the finalized repairs of her palace, to the state of affairs within her realm. It seemed that some of the noble families were still within a state of unrest, and it annoyed her. It seemed she would need to call a meeting with the heads of houses soon to solidify her authority.
That’s when her eyes drifted away from her data pad as a man had entered the throne room. A man that Nakiya had quickly started to loath, but kept at her side as an example to the other houses. It was Crowley.
“What is it?”
She demanded of the male demon who only gave an exaggerated bow, exposing the 6 pointed star tattoo on his neck as he did so. Not only had Nakiya spared him, but she had enlisted him into her direct service, even branding him as her own and erasing the brand of his own house. To a noble, there was no greater insult. It would be like cutting off a saiyan’s tail, and installing one of a kold demon.
Crowley straightened out as he looked up at his Queen. He didn’t carry himself as flamboyantly as he did the day he attempted to seize control of the throne, though he wasn’t as hateful as she wished he would be.
“Pardon the intrusion my Queen. I have a datachip recorded from the central computer. It seemed like quite the pertinent data so I…”
“Tsch. What the hell were you doing anywhere near the central computer Crowley? Your duties shouldn’t take you anywhere near there.”
Nakiya brought her hand forward, snapping her fingers and instantly, Crowley’s body would catch fire.
The male demon was strong, and so even though his body burned, he remained as still as he could under the circumstances. IT wasn’t until it really started to peel his flesh away that he started to make noises of discomfort.
Nakiya leaped off of her throne, datapad in her left hand, her right hand still controlling the flames that engulfed Crowley. She walked right up to him, reaching into the fire and grabbing his neck tightly.
“You will not work your way back up to nobility. No matter how hard you try. You only have centuries of loyal service to look forward too. If that is too much for you, I can bring you to my lab, and turn you into one of many creatures. You can serve me of your own free will, or I can rip that away from you too.”
She threatened darkly.
“Y…yes master. I understand… Forgive me…”
Crowley pleaded, sighing in relief as the flames that engulfed him disappeared. Nakiya removed her hand from his neck, swiping at the data chip in his hand and bringing it up to her eyes. She didn’t trust Crowley in the slightest…for all she knew this thing could upload a virus into her network, copy it’s data or take it over. She glanced back to Crowley and swiftly placed her hand on his head, forcing herself into his mind. At first, she would read what thoughts he could, but the more she pushed, the more resistance she felt. And so, she decided to go the more direct route. She took control of his mind, watching his eyes seem to dull as she did so.
“What is on this data chip Crowley?”
She asked him seriously.
“Information from the Cerulean Empire, recently sent back to the King from Emissaries sent to both Earth and Natto.”
He stated with a sudden glare in his eyes. He couldn’t control what he was saying, and he hated the feeling of her control over him.
“Anything else?”
Nakiya demanded, and Crowley shook his head from one side to the next.
“No master.”
He stated just as truthfully, and Nakiya released his mind at that as she returned to her throne.
“Thank you. Now please, show yourself out. Oh, and fetch Vulpeca for me would you?”
She said without even looking back at him. Crowley nodded as he stepped backwards and left the throne room.
Nakiya sat back down horizontally on her throne, legs hanging over the arm of it as she plugged the data chip into her datapad. Immediately, the data was displayed on her datapad, images of what the Emissaries had seen being filtered directly to her. She already knew about the Emissary on planet Earth, and found herself quite interested in the subjects displayed. As for the emissary on Natto… she wasn’t too concerned with what she had seen.
<< Kinoko. How is your mission going? >>
Nakiya asked as she looked over the information screen by screen.
<< Master? Forgive me, I’m afraid I haven’t done very much since my arrival. They don’t trust me just yet, and justly so. It will take me more time to convince the Overseer that they can trust me. However, as things stand, I haven’t seen any hostilities when the Cerulean Empire was mentioned. I will do my best to keep things this way.>>
Kinoko replied to her masters mental message. She was becoming much more masterful at not letting people see that she was in fact a silent conversation. Most of the time she had to learn to masterfully divide her attention between two simultaneous conversations.
<<Very well, please report anything that might be of interest to me.>>
Nakiya added and felt the little nudge from Kinoko’s mind.
<< Actually master. I have mentioned an information broker to the Overseer here. He seems to desire more information on the Cerulean Empire, and I took the liberty of thinking he might be useful to you. >>
Nakiya didn’t respond right away. Instead she brought her hand up to her chin as she thought this idea over. She had no information on the Overseer besides what Kinoko was reporting to her. She had mentioned that he was in fact a male super saiyan, and a very powerful one at that. She did need more of his brand of DNA to create a male counterpart to Kinoko… If a meeting between them happened, then perhaps it could prove fruitful to her.
<<Keep me updated on this matter Kinoko. If he wishes to speak with me then I will see him. Please keep my name and identity anonymous.>>
She instructed.
<<Yes, master.>>
Kinoko concluded, and that was the end of their conversation. Next, she needed to verify Aya’s progress.
<< Aya. Have you located the dragonballs yet?>>
<<Oh, mother! It seems that Namek does not currently have any dragonballs. However, I have found a Namekian who claims to be able to make them. I’ve convinced him that I will wish to bring my people and parents back to life, and he seems to be completely willing to help me on this front.>>
<<Excellent work Aya. You remember the wish?>>
<<Of course I do! But… mother, can I return to Makai as soon as all of this is done? I am growing anxious and very excited to see everything.>>
<<Of course. Just be sure not to fail me Aya, else you might need further training before I can bring you home.>>
<<Yes mother, I will not disappoint you.>>
With that, Nakiya gave another audible sigh as she finished looking through all of the pertinent data. All she would save, where the files on the Earth’s Kami, as well as a raid haired boy that was found with her. She wasn’t sure why he piqued her interest… but something about him told her she needed to investigate this further.
