Learning [ULTIMATE] Spirit Ball and fully mastering Wolf School!

Nasu had just walked out of the meeting room where he and General Miso spoke about a young saiyan with a growing potential. The kid named Negi was experiencing a large growth in power level ever since he reached what saiyans considered biological adulthood. He couldn’t take his mind off it during his entire path towards the Soy Training Hall. ”Another super saiyan in a couple months… That would be more than perfect… Honestly, when I think about the power we’ve been gathering. That’s more accomplishing than individual power. We can easily divide this power, deploying our forcers to hit hard at multiple fronts in case of an war, while, at the same time, when fighting a single more powerful individual, we can cover each other’s back while avoiding one person to grow especially tired. That, together with the Ultimate Technique of the Soy School, the Spirit of the Saiyans, makes us the most fearsome faction in the whole universe.” he thought to himself, but he didn’t smile. Not that he wasn’t proud of happy with that, no. But Nasu was taking this situation completely serious. He needed to make sure they were unbeatable, so that no threat could risk the survival of the Saiyan Alliance. ”I’m not a peaceful person… Heck! I’m a terrible person and I like blood and death, but… I also value this place, this society. And I know pretty well most saiyans here carve for a more peaceful leaving. Of course they will always love to fight, but that’s quite different from killing and slaughter.” Nasu sighed, fastening his pace. ”Anyway, I should probably stop thinking about it now. I need to concentrate in finishing my training, and these distractions will cost me dearly in a spar with Karota. She doesn’t let things such as this to go unnoticed.” he reminded himself, shaking his head a bit in order to get rid of his thoughts; action that was just partially effective.
In the following minutes, Nasu had reached the Soy Training Hall for his final training session with, the holographic walls were deactivated, making the training facily look like a gray round-shaped prison. Nasu mused about that for a few seconds, before he saw Karota already standing in the middle of the titled floor with a smug on her face, giggling a bit after she saw him. Nasu rolled his eyes in his orbits; he really disliked that sly attitude Karota had, but little by little he was learning how to deal with that, and it started bothering less and less. Karota was swaying her tail from one side to the other and she kept on doing that up until when Nasu stepped into the titled floor, moment in which she wrapped it around her waist in the traditional belt-like fashion most saiyans kept their tail, Nasu included.
[Power Level: 149,400]
Her power level was rising too with their training and she was recovering most of her previous shape; Karota had never achieved super saiyan two, but she used to be really close to that mark in the past. If Nasu remembered correctly, her power level used to be around two hundred and twenty thousand, but a lot of things happened to her, which are not worth mentioning; they were itchy subjects and better left untouched. Nonetheless, she was getting back into shape and that helped the Alliance, and also helped Nasu, the young Overseer carved for decent sparring partners in order to continue improving himself. Luckily, to him, he now had plenty of those at his disposal, with Miso and Karota being their main sparring partners and, now, Jie Shan and Komatsu being able to put up a fight, instead of a one-sided beat-up from before. ”Impressive how achieving the ascended state increases our power… To think that we already had it inside of us and couldn’t use it… Seems like fairy tale!”Nasu mused again and Karota took notice of that.
– You seem quite thoughtful today, student! Hihi. Hope you don’t use that as an excuse for failing! – she teased him, but it didn’t work, she was having a tougher time getting under his skin now. – Indeed. I’ve been thinking about plenty of stuff, but I know I have to focus on this battle. But first, let me ask you something, master. – Nasu was being far more polite than usual lately; he was finally learning to be a leader instead of a ruler and that was good for both him and the Saiyan Alliance itself. It still surprised Karota and the others though, and the hybrid Colonel arched one of her eyebrows, folding her arms before speaking. – Go ahead, Nasu. – she said with a curious tone. The young Overseer nodded briefly. – Miso told me about a young saiyan with potential, a corporal named Negi. What do you think of him? – when he said that Karota’s smile widened as things became clearer now. – Oh, so that’s what it’s about… - she mused and he nodded again. – Yes, I’ve been thinking about it and it interested me deeply. – he admitted, exhaling deeply.
Karota walked around abit, gazing away from Nasu and staring to the upper hatch of the Soy Training Hall. – I’ve known Negi since he was still a baby boy. He wasn’t put into the incubator like it’s usual. Instead, his mother chose to have him in a more natural fashion. – Karota said, making Nasu arch both of his eyebrows. – Really? Why would she do that? Makes no sense! – he exclaimed and Karota giggled a bit. – It’s harder than it seems. You see, on Earth we believe that pregnancy helps developing a bond between mother and child. Negi’s mother was a saiyan-human hybrid just like me, but she acted more like a human than a saiyan, like some of us in the Alliance, as you may be well aware. – she paused, staring back at Nasu to make sure he was still following and he nodded. – They were really close. I mean, his father was more saiyan like, but more like Natto, if I had to compare him with another pure-blooded saiyan. They were a small but very close family and they really loved each other. Negi was always a good boy and, although he is a good warrior and has the natural saiyan drive towards battle, his motivation was always to protect first his family and his home. – Karota explained and Nasu nodded again. – Then, about three years ago, the Alliance sent their squad to examine a nearby moon on a neighbor planet, because we suspected it was being used as cell for the Planet Trade Organization to keep tabs on us. We were weakened and, from what I’ve read from the reports, they were evaluating if it was a good moment to strike us down or not. Obviously we couldn’t have the Planet Trade Organization so close to our borders and we sent the squad to scout the region, confirm if there was indeed a cell in that moon and return so we could send a proper annihilation squad. – Nasu touched his chin with a thoughtful expression as Karota explained. He was starting to link the dots and could already predict how it would end.
– As you may already suspect, the scouting squad was spotted and, after a short battle, they were killed. Luckily, Negi’s mother managed to send the footage and we could evaluate their strength and Miso led a squad there to destroy the cell and keep the Alliance safe. Still… - she paused, sighing a bit. – Negi was destroyed when he heard about his parents fate and that made him have a sudden surge of power, but nothing lasting like we hybrids have. He is a fourth human, but I take it’s not enough to allow him to tap into such power. Instead, he started to show a crazy growth in power from time to time, until very recently when his power level began to skyrocket like crazy. My latest report says he is at fifty thousand or something like that. – Karota mentioned.
– Yeah, Miso told me that. – Nasu commented and Karota nodded. – Then Miso came to me and we thought he had the potential. To become super saiyan, I mean. – Nasu nodded again to show he understood what she meant. – Still, Nasu, I was reticent about telling you that outright because, you see… Negi is a kind-hearted boy with lots of ideals. You are way too ruthless sometimes, just like Miso. I’m afraid you might end up hurting his loyalty towards the Alliance if you disappoint him too severely. – she voiced her concerns and that made Nasu frown his brows, slightly irritated by what she was implying, especially because he knew it made some sense. – Don’t get the wrong idea, I believe you are improving your attitude, and you were pretty cool at the arena, but you are still quite unstable. Miso is a jerk, but that’s sort of expected, he always had been. He is a General and people can accept a ruthless General, but they expect more from the Overseer they… - and Karota paused as a bit of sadness touched her emerald-colored eyes and Nasu immediately understood what she meant.
– They expect me to be like my father… - he said, sighing in frustration. Karota just silently nodded, knowing there was nothing she could say right now to make him feel better, but the truth had to be told. – They still don’t recognize my qualities… I’m doing the best I can for the Alliance! I’m not concentrating power solely on my hands! I’m making sure we have a decent number of super elite warriors so that we can be safe no matter what happens to individuals! – he said in a rather hurt tone. – I’ve opened back the arena, I’m letting people have fun, I’m letting people have hope! Damn! I’m even accepting aliens, although with restriction, even after the betrayal we suffered! What else they expect?! – he asked in an angry tone and Karota sighed again. – They expect you to be kinder. To be more accessible. – Nasu growled in response, but she continued. – You know how Natto managed to build this place? By reaching out to people. He reached out to me in the Southern Islands, were I lived with my previous mate and my… My children. – and a deep sadness touched her tone, but she continued. – He reached out to Cornatto, he reached out for plenty of people. She wasn’t all high and might just because he was the strongest. You mother were far more closed and suspicious, but Natto… He was just… Nice. – Karota though, remembering about the old Overseer. – We wanted to make him king at first, but he didn’t want to. He wanted to protect everyone and create a society where everyone could live in peace. You never understood that! You are distant from people, you make them fear you. Nobody feared your father! Even though he was a damn super saiyan three! They feared Tomoroko, but they fear you more! Do you get my point? – she asked, and Nasu just growled. He was hurt by those words, especially because, deep inside, he knew it to be true, but was still incapable of surpassing his own limitations and becoming like his father.
There was a piece of him, a small piece to be fair, but still a piece that was rotten. That carved for the mayhem and chaos that made adrenaline kick into his veins filled with pure saiyan blood. His DNA had that ruthlessly that many other saiyans from the Alliance were losing, and to make things worse, Nasu liked it. – And Negi is still a kid. He is just sixteen and due to being part human, he is too naïve and idealistic. Nasu… If you want to keep this Alliance together, if you want to help it develop, you will need to do more than just make six, seven, ten people super saiyans! You will need to make the whole population to feel at home! To feel they belong, to feel they are a crucial part of it! That we are here to serve and protect them and not otherwise! Don’t think for a second I don’t admire the good things you’ve been doing. You are sharing your knowledge instead of concentrating it in your hands. You’ve been listening to us, you even accepted the alliance with the Cerulean Empire without complaining a lot! – she pointed out and he rolled his eyes in his orbits, still annoyed by that. – You kind of forced me to that, but I understand the advantages. – he admitted, sighing. – See? That’s why I believe you can become even better than you already are! And I believe you can become someone Negi would admire. You don’t have to become like Natto, but… Just a little bit more. Don’t be just a similar cross-shaped scar and hair. – she finished by saying that, and the young Overseer lowered his head, staring at the titled floor.
”Become more like father… Mirror his good traits. I won’t ever become like him, to be completely honest… But maybe, just maybe I can improve my attitude a little bit more. It would be for everyone’s sake… Mine included…” he thought to himself for a second. Then he nodded to himself, he had decided, and with that resolution, he stared back at Karota with determination in his eyes. – I will do what I can. – he limited himself to say and Karota smiled again, a large and sincere smile. – That’s all I wanted to hear, kiddo! – she said, giggling a bit. Nasu managed to crack a smirk too. – So let’s cut the crap and get down to business! I will learn the final technique today and master your school! – he said in a cocky and determined tone and Karota laughed in response, nodding a couple times. – Alright, alright! But first… How about a super saiyan spar?! I’ve have recovered my full power transformation! And I’m thrilled to test it out! – the young Overseer chuckled as she spoke and he nodded. Then, Nasu flared his ghostly-white ki aura around his body, which quickly turned bright gold in color. His hair bristled initially and then grew spiked and glowing in a golden hue. His eyes became teal as he ascended to a full powered Super Saiyan.

Karota followed Nasu by doing the same, with the difference of her hair growing quite a bit as she transformed, due to her hybrid biology. She had also ascended to the full powered Super Saiyan form and their combined powers were immediately noticed by the citizens of the Alliance; it was just too absurd.

[Flavoring the ally transformation to the regular multiplier since it’s a solo]
As soon as they both transformed, they glared at each other for a brief instant and charged against each other. They were fighting using the Wolf School style and right now, melee wise, they were pretty even; Nasu had been training like crazy in order to become stronger and fully master all peculiarities of the style, which was completely different from the Soy Style. The attacks were based on using fingers like claws, attacking with the knife of the hand and hitting pressure points. It also relied a lot in kicks and palm strikes. It was like it emulated a true beast in order to harvest all of its fearsome potential.
The two full powered super saiyans clashed for hours, exchanging blows and they were pretty much even despite the fact that Nasu was far stronger than Karota in terms of raw power. The hybrid Colonel evened the odds with experience and momentum in the fight, but Nasu was slowly catching up to that and learning: he was a fast learned, she had to give him that, and he wasn’t one to give up easily after failing just once. No, Nasu had a fiery determination that pushed him forward at all times, making him quite a fearsome opponent to have not only in battle but in life. He saw everything as a life or death competition and he was willing to go to the edge in order to win. The two warriors were both growing tired, but Nasu had become more resilient and Karota was going to reach her limit way before him. After a shock of fists that shaken the whole Planet due to the sheer power they generated in the form of a shockwave, the whole Soy Training Hall trembled, almost like it was going to crumble, but the structure held Natto and Tomoroko going all out in the past, it would resist Nasu and Karota now.
After this shock of fists, the two super saiyans rolled backwards and fell back into the Wolf Scholl fighting stance at the same time, staring at each other. Nasu was heavily breathing, but Karota was outright panting. – Seems like you are already drained, Karota! Hehehe! I will end up beating you before you show me the final technique! – he teased her and she grinned back to him. – Don’t get cocky, kiddo! You have certainly improved, but my ultimate technique will catch you by surprise! – she said, chuckling a bit. Nasu’s smile widened. – If you can hit me! – he said and Karota narrowed her eyes, feeling a rush of adrenaline inside her body.
Then, the hybrid opened her right palm facing upwards as she placed the left hand around the adjacent arm for support. Then she gathered around surrounding energy, quickly shaping it in the form of a yellow-orange energy sphere. It wasn’t very large; almost the size of the Super Spirit Cannon, but the energy inside of it was fearsome. – Meet the… Spirit Ball! – she exclaimed as she fired the attack straight at Nasu. The energy sphere roared at Nasu, but the saiyan didn’t flinch. As it was about to hit him, he used his Afterimage technique to fully dodge the attack. As he reappeared at the same place, he chuckled. – What a shame! Such a waste of energy! – he teased her, but Karota’s smile didn’t fade and she made a quick movement with her hand and Nasu immediately sensed the same energy heading back his way. The saiyan quickly turned around to stare at his back and the Spirit Ball was already near him! – W-what?! But how?! – he asked, gathering all of his remaining energy to use his afterimage technique again, to dodge the attack. As Nasu reappeared, the Spirit Ball had already been maneuvered and was already above him, about to hit his head. The super saiyan growled in anger as he gritted his teeth and, with maximum effort, he managed to just barely dodge the attack one last time and it hit the titled floor, making a whole in it. Nasu was completely drained after the dodging it and stared at Karota, quite impressed.
– A controllable energy sphere! Amazing! But now you are done! – Nasu said, as he thought that the Spirit Ball would be dissipated by the impact, but then Karota chuckled again and moved her fingers once more. ”What?! I’m feeling it! Where… Below?!” and as Nasu stared to the titled floor, it broke apart and the Spirit Ball soared towards him, hitting him hard in the chin as it caught him by surprise. The super saiyan groaned and that’s when the attack actually started. Karota moved her fingers quickly and started hitting him multiple times with the Spirit Ball all over his body, until she made it maneuver once more and hit him hard in the chest, exploding with the remaining power. Smoke took over the place and, as it vanished, Nasu was panting faintly there, severely injured by the unexpected attack. His expression showed just how surprise he was by the attack. Karota chuckled a bit more and folded her arms. She was heavily breathing and completely tired, but she was now in a far better shape than Nasu. – You underestimated my Spirit Ball and that’s the price you pay! Steep, isn’t it?! – she said with a cheeky tone. Nasu growled angrily and then groaned in pain; his battle suit had been completely destroyed by the attack, and his blue jumpsuit was severely damaged. Both of his white gloves had been vaporized and he was almost completely defeated now.
– Tricky technique… I never saw anything like that… - he admitted, making Karota feel even prouder. But then, a smile appeared on Nasu’s face as he put his right hand forward with his palm facing up. The other hand was placed around the adjacent arm for support and in an instant, the yellow-orange energy sphere was formed in his hand, perfectly. Karota arched her brows and widened her eyes in disbelief. – H-how can you replicate it so easily?! – she asked, startled and Nasu chuckled. – I was paying attention… Now… Soar! Spirit Ball! – he exclaimed as he fired the powerful attack right at Karota. The creator of the technique knew it was impossible to dodge it and just crossed her arms in front of her chest to protect herself, but Nasu expected as much. With a swift motion of his fingers, he made the Spirit Ball maneuver around her perfectly. – Dammit!! – Karota swore as she tried to turn around in time, but she wasn’t fast enough due to being tired. The Spirit Ball hit her on her back, exploding upon impact; Nasu didn’t feel like punishing his master a lot. The explosion was huge and covered the whole area in smoke.
As the smoke cleared, Karota was lying on the ground, back at her base form and unconscious; she had been completely defeated by her own student with her own technique, the proof that the student had, at least, surpassed the master. Nasu landed back onto the tilted floor, staring at the hybrid and smiled. – Thank you. Not only for the martial arts lessons, but mostly for the other lessons. Still… I’m glad you can’t hear me thanking you now! Hehehe! – he admitted, laughing a bit to himself. Then, Nasu took Karota on his arms and slowly walked away from the titled floor. He had become a master of the Wolf School too now, and finally reached the state he had been hoping for: a complete and perfect warrior.
Skill-wise, he was complete, now he only needed to grow stronger in power and help his allies to grow strong too. Should he accomplish that, military-wise, the Alliance would be perfected, but it wasn’t his only goal now. He needed to improve as a person too in order to make the Saiyan Alliance the true home of those saiyans who decided to join it with the hopes of a new environment, free of the mayhem and chaos of the now destroyed Saiyan Empire. To accomplish that would require he did his very best in order to overcome his own flaws and limitations of character, but he was willing to at least try. Despite recognizing his father’s flaws, Nasu still worshiped him and a part of him wanted to be more like Natto. He understood he would never be exactly like him, but closing in the gap would be more than enough for the young saiyan Overseer.
After the final training session, Nasu took Karota to the medical quarters and into a healing machine so that she could recover from the serious injuries she suffered. He had put her into the best healing machine available, while he went into an intermediate one himself; Karota was in a worse shape than him, so it was only fair. Still, that was another sign of him maturing and growing more considerate towards others. Little by little Nasu was managing to become a better person, but that could still go south. Life is a mystery and some things can easily and quickly change the tides of anything.
Nothing is absolute in this world, and wisdom teaches people that much. The two saiyans took their time into recovering, Karota left the healing machine at nightfall, but Nasu only left it in the middle of the night. Now he needed to rest; he had an appointment tomorrow at first light.
Finishing Komatsu’s and Jie Shan’s training under the Soy School, just like he had finished his own training under the Wolf School.
