Nasu’s heart was beating like crazy, almost like it was about to pop out of his chest at any second. He was training inside the gravity chamber of the Star Javelin, Natto’s mothership and had just successfully managed to hit his father, the strongest of the universe, with an energy punch followed by an energy wave, all of that under the strains of a gravity over twenty times Earth’s own gravity. Still, seemed like things were about to get absolutely rough now, as Natto had decided that Nasu was ready to go one step further and into the crazy gravity of thirty times regular one, or three times Planet Natto’s gravity. – Ready or not, here we go! Hehe! – Natto said, chuckling as his index finger hit the red button of the gravity machine, responsible for increasing it. The second it touched it, the machine started working even faster and the environmental pressure increased many fold.
Natto seemed not to even flinch with that, but his child immediately plummeted to the titled floor of the chamber. – ARRRGHHH!! – the child screamed, feeling almost like all of his bones were about to be shattered. ”T-this is crazy! T-twenty times… I was already at my limit! I… I c-can’t do it… Dammit!!! Twenty times dammit!!!” the saiyan child cursed his powerlessness and his rage quickly became hatred towards the lack of skill, the lack of power, even the lack of age. His tail unwrapped from his waste, almost like it was trying to help the child to push himself up, but seemed to be quite useless. Not even an inch. Nasu couldn’t move himself up a bit despite his efforts and these constant failures were driving him crazy and overly frustrated. ”Stupid… S-stupid body!!! React now!!! I demand you!!!” he growled with his eyes growing red due to the pressure he was putting himself through in an attempt to finally get back to his feet and show his father he was a warrior, he was the fierce saiyan who would, one day, surpass even him in power. Nasu managed to push himself up just a tad bit and, when things appeared to be improving, his strength failed him and he hit the floor hard again, screaming as he felt like his ribcage was almost going to crack. – UUGGHH! – he groaned and with that, his furious expression slowly began to change to that of despair and sadness. Upon noticing that, though, his father’s expression became far more serious.
– What do you think you are doing, Nasu?! You were doing great under twenty times! You can do it, son! Don’t you dare give up! – Natto said in a rather serious tone, almost like he was ordering his son not to give up, and that was pretty much what he was doing. Nasu’s head was facing the floor, so he couldn’t see the expression on his father’s face, but he knew it without actually needing to see it; Nasu could always tell when Natto and Tomoroko were serious, and he knew that giving up now was completely out of the table. ”I… I c-can do this… I… I n-need to to this!” he kept on repeating to himself inside his mind and, little by little, the burning flame of determination was once again lit inside his body and he began to react. Natto immediately noticed that and narrowed his eyes, silently cheering for his child. With a herculean effort, Nasu managed to get to the four limbs. They were all shaking like crazy with the sheer effort of keeping him up like he was, but that was but the easy part; now he had to take his hands off the floor and stand on just his two feet. His tail wasn’t even swaying because of the sheer amount of gravitational pressure that were pretty much stunning his body.
A vein popped out on the child’s temple and he moved his right leg, taking his knee of the ground and putting his feet now. With that he managed to take of the right hand and lean it on the now bent knee. His fist clenched immediately as he did that, because with one less limb on the ground it was absolutely hard to do it. ”D-damn! I feel like m-my leg… Is about to be torn apart!” he thought to himself, with his eyes close shut. Natto was just there, standing near the kid and watching him do his best in order to try and get up. It was amazing how much will-power the saiyan boy had inside of him, but unknown to Natto, this will-power was fueled by him and Tomoroko; Nasu wanted to be like them, he wanted to be strong and respected by everyone. He wanted everyone to know how powerful the saiyans were and lay purge on their enemies.
Nasu almost fell back to the floor, but he managed to hold his ground with sheer effort, putting a lot of pressure on his hips to control his gravity center and not be thrown out of balance. – That’s it Nasu! You are doing great! Keep up with that and you will be up in no time! – Natto said, cheering on the kid and his words took effect. Nasu took off his left hand from the ground and then his left knee, putting his left foot on the floor, now in a crouching position. His tail touched the floor, also helping him push himself up; already at this early age, Nasu’s tail was not a weakness anymore. He still didn’t control his Great Ape form, because of the absurd amount of inner rage the kid had, but his discipline made him overcome his race natural weakness and now his tail was a reliable limb that he could use in battle and in training. It’s important to point out that he managed to master his tail weakness fairly ease, much easier than his parents did, which impressed everyone on the Alliance: he was a prodigy.
Back to the training, Nasu wasn’t able to move now, not matter how much he tried to use his muscles. Natto sighed a bit, concerned about the kid and started speaking again. – You can’t just use your body, Nasu, you need to user you ki… - but before Natto could finish it, Nasu burst out in anger.
– I KNOW! SHUT UP!! I’M DOING MY BEST!!! – the kid roared with all his lungs as he flared his ghostly-white ki aura around his body, strengthening all of his body to it’s very peak. Natto was absolutely impressed with that, but even more impressed when he saw Nasu getting back up. The kid rose both his arms with clenched fists and let go all of his energy in the form of an Explosive Wave. – AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! – Nasu roared. Natto had to take a back step not to be caught in the powerful explosion and, once the smoke it generated cleared up, Nasu was there, standing on his two feet, with his aura burning like crazy around his body and a very serious and angered expression on his face. Natto couldn’t help himself but feel rather surprised.
”Look at this kid!” he thought to himself, in awe. To imagine that a ten years old would manage to withstand the pressure of a gravity over thirty times Earth’s own was almost unbelievable. Maybe that was because Nasu was conceived when Natto and Tomoroko were already much stronger. It was general saiyan knowledge that the parents power level has influence on the chance of getting stronger off-spring, but Natto was now witnessing it; although Nasu wasn’t absurdly strong, he was elite level ever since birth and even Kimiko was born with a strong power, even stronger than Nasu’s own at birth. Obviously the saiyan boy didn’t know he had a sister only two years younger than him that was born with a stronger power level than his own. Natto sometimes felt like he wanted to tell him about Kimiko, but he wasn’t sure he was mature enough to know it. Natto knew Nasu would be hurt if he learned that his parents had been keeping such a secret from him and, on top of that, he knew his pride would be shattered if he ever caught the record informing that Kimiko was born stronger than him. Nasu wasn’t an easy kid and his pride was a mixture of Tomoroko’s and Natto’s siblings and mother. A terrible mix, to be honest.
– S-see, dad?! There’s no freaking way t-this stupid machine is going to beat me down! – he said with a fiery determination in his tone. Then, with another herculean effort, he managed to slid into what resembled his fighting stance, but much more opened due to the difficulty he was having in moving around with the new gravity in place. – I w-won’t allow myself to fall to such a sorry state again! I’m… I’m the son of Natto and Tomoroko of the Saiyan Alliance! And we do not bow! I do not bow!! To nothing! To no one!!! I will be like you! I will become the strongest in the whole universe!!! Unbowed, unbent and unbroken!!!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! – Nasu screamed with all his lungs and, in the next second, he was already sprinting forward. He wasn’t fast. No, his feet were almost unable to be lifted from the floor, but he was moving. Natto was absolutely impressed – and a little concerned too due to his words – with Nasu, but then he chuckled and smiled again sliding back to the Soy School fighting stance.
– Then, come at me, kid! Hehehe! – he said, and the sparring session started once again. Nasu couldn’t move properly, so he only managed to try and hit his father with a jab that was easily dodged by the older saiyan. Nasu howled in frustration but did not stop right there. Following his jab he tried a cross-punch at Natto’s tight, but the saiyan Overseer managed to stop his fist with his tail in a skillful way. – Too slow, Nasu! The gravity is taking way too much tools on you! – Natto said, but that only made the kid angrier and angrier. – Shut up, dad!!! Let me focus!!! – Nasu respected his parents, but he had an attitude problem ever since he was released from the incubator he was kept for three years, where a whole team of medics had to hold him down due to his adrenaline rush; a small trait he inherited from his mother, but not enough that it could be called her battle mode. This battle mode was inherited by his younger brother, Komatsu, but since he was still pretty a much a baby, they didn’t know it yet.
Nasu attempted to throw another jab at Natto, who, in turn, back stepped, successfully dodging his other attack, to his ever growing frustration. – DAMMIT! – he roared. His frustration grew again when he tried to follow his father, but his body didn’t move, feeling exhausted with the gravity. The rage build it up inside of him, and he had to resort to another tactic in order to try and hit his father. Nasu gritted his teeth and clenched both his fists, charging all of his remaining power.
– AAAAHHHH!!! – he roared as he flared his ki aura to its peak. Natto stared at him with curiosity trying to figure out what he was up to. Then, Nasu rose both his arms above his head and started charging a powerful, blue-colored energy sphere, putting all of his energy into that. Natto widened his eyes a bit, amused by what the kid was doing; he managed to keep enough control, even though he was struggling to keep himself on his feet, to mold his energy and create an energy sphere. ”Impressive! This kid… Hehehe!” Natto thought with a subtle and proud smile on his face. Nasu was now sweating like crazy and his heartbeat reached its peak with over two hundred and thirty beats per minute, way beyond normal limit. Nasu was betting it all in that attack and he knew he would be done after it, but, since his body wasn’t helping, he said screw it all. He was putting his whole soul into that attack and it had to work.
– It’s over!!! I don’t care what happens next!!!! I will hit you again!!! Even if I have to blow this whole place apart!!! – he roared, as he continued to charge his attack, making the energy sphere bigger by the second. Natto just stood there, waiting for Nasu to fire the attack. The power generated was absurd, way too beyond his own power level, until it reached its peak at twice Nasu’s own power level, stopping at 12,000. It wouldn’t be enough to blow the ship of the gravity chamber, but it would damage it a little if it hit. Therefore, Natto decided he would rather intercept it; he was powerful enough to do so without harming himself a single bit.
Then, when ready, Nasu fired his energy sphere right at Natto. – Super Spirit Cannon!!!! – he roared as he fired the attack. Natto quickly moved opening his palm and catching the attack with his hand. The white glove he was wearing was scorched and vanished from existence but after that, it was the energy sphere that was dissipated when Natto closed his hand, clenching his fist. Nasu was now panting like crazy and almost completely depleted of strength. He stared at his father completely unharmed, but noticed that his glove was no more
The saiyan boy cracked a smirk and chuckled a bit. – S-see, d-dad?! H-hit you a… again… - and those were his final words before his eyes closed. Nasu was completely drained and fainted immediately after speaking, plummeting to the ground like a rock. Natto quickly turned off the gravity machine, returning it to the normal planetary gravity. Then, he approached his son and took him into his arms effortlessly. – You are troublesome, Nasu… But I’m proud of you! You have plenty of will power and I trust you will be able to put it into good use once you reach some maturity! – he said, but Nasu didn’t hear as he was unconscious.
This was the end of this long training session under enhanced gravity, just one of the many the father and his child had during the days they were together. Nasu loved his parents, despite being so different from them in many traits, and their lost was one of the main things behind his ruthless behavior of later, that is still part of him now. A broken bond can do some serious damage to the minds and heart of individuals, especially to those who carry in their veins the saiyan blood.
