The sun would shine bright in the sky, barely any clouds to cover it. The water was extremely calm as there was barely any wind. Meridia would be sitting near the shore, a pile of small rocks next to her. She would throw them one by one in the water, trying to make them ricochet as far as possible. This relaxing day seemed to cheer her up quite a bit as she was smiling simply from the joy of the temperature. She kept throwing rocks, thinking about her past but also for once paying a closer mind to her future and what might await her. She couldn’t help but giggle as she thought about how clumsy she could be at times. Thinking about moments like the one she fell on top of her employer and made him fall in a fountain or the one time she forgot to bring arrows to an archery competition.
“I wonder if the future will be bright or dark. I sure hope I’ll atleast live to see how things end up.” She giggled and picked another rock, flicking her wrist to throw it at the water. “Things could get interesting if I meet new people, maybe I’ll get to show off some of my things.” She yawned and stretched. Stretching her arms she then laid down against the grassy hill overseeing the sea. She stared up at the sky blankly, only wondering about the way others might live their lives apart from the common folks. The idea that everyone has a different philosophy in life intrigued her and made her smile as she tried to imagine all of the ways people could see life differently than her. ”Who knows maybe some people believe in praying to unicorns every morning.” She giggled thinking about what she had just said. She had spent most of her time in the wastelands for the past year and so visiting a place that was closer to her birthplace eased the burden of work off of her shoulders. She allowed herself to drift off in simple thoughts and relaxed near the shore. "This sure is alot calmer than the Wastelands or cities..." she smiled and rubbed her eyes. She rarely gave herself the time to relax in such a way and to admire the beauty that was earth's nature and landscape. She would often be way too busy training or working to be able to afford crafting materials.
Ayami walked the beaches of this island, it wasn't exactly beansprout island, but it reminded her a lot of it. She hadn't been out here for a while, she was so caught up in training and being with her friends that she completely forgot to come back and visit! Well now was as good a time as any to fix that issue. After all, she had enough free time to manage coming here for at least a little bit! Still, she realized she wasn't alone here as she saw and felt another power level in the area.
She decided to calmly approach it, noticing that it was a girl! She didn't know her, but that was enough to warrent the Water Elemi fixing that issue! She came up closer, speaking calmly. "Do you mind if I sit here with you?" She gave a friendly smile to the girl, hopefully it would be the first thing she saw, those bright blue practically glowing eyes looking right back at the human. She was quite strong though, she hoped it wouldn't be intimidating as she had no intent of fighting this girl. If allowed, she would calmly sit down next to her, letting the wind from the sea hit her face as she shut her eyes for a moment. "Ahh~. It's just like home! I hope I'm not intruding on anything. I just came here because I hadn't been back in this area for a few days now. I was starting to miss it!"
The wind, the sea salt smell blowing into her nose, the sounds of birds, it was all so much like home, it was in the same area after all! She loved it. Still, she wondered about this girl next to her, lately she had gotten to meet a lot of new people, but one more was always welcome! She gasped for a second, speaking up as she realized she forgot something important. "I'm so sorry! I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Ayami Atlantii! I'm a martial artist!!" Her eyes seemed to light up like stars as she mentioned being a martial artist, being able to call herself that made her overjoyed as she tried everything in her power to hold back exploding from the excitement of it.
"And what about you? Who are you?" She asked calmly, speaking up after giving the girl time to talk first. "South islands are my home, I grew up on a tiny little one not far from here. I've spent my whole life growing up here and watching the Budokai Tenkaichi tournaments! I can name every one of the champions from all of them I went to!" She began eagerly listing off several names, none of which may have been relevant to this girl, but they were all indeed champions of budokai. It was incredible how she listed them all off without hesitation. She took quite some time to list them, but never the less went on until she finished. "Oh my...Sorry for rambling on, I just love those tournaments and martial arts and...Oooohh!" She held her hands to her face, smiling.
Meridia turned to look at the girl approaching her, she would smile noticing that she wasn’t here for a fight or anything. She nodded lightly. “Of course you may sit.” She would speak in a calm voice as she was very relaxed from this new soothing environment. Having spent so much time in the wastelands had made the ex-mercenary wary of anything and anyone but the sea and calm winds blowing against her seemed to be calming and relaxing. “I grew up not far from here, I used to always come here and just lose myself staring at the sea and the sky.” It felt nice for her to find someone with even a little thing in common with her.
Meridia would giggle as the girl apologized for not introducing herself, it was rare for her to meet people for reasons other than business and so introductions were often skipped. It pleased her to finally meet someone with no ulterior motives behind the meeting. “Oh, I uhm my name is Meridia, I’m a smith or at least I hope to become one!” She would respond happily as she was quite eager to find out what awaited her now. She had always loved creating things but never quite had the chance to sell them or show them to people. Her eyes almost sparkled as she was getting so close to her dream, being out of the wastelands was the first step and now she was talking to someone for the first time in quite a while.
She stretched slowly and laughed once the Elemi was done listing the champions. “Have you ever participated in the tournament? I’m sure you could win! You seem extremely strong, I think you’d have a great chance at winning.” She giggled and held her knees looking at the see before turning to the girl and giving her a smile. “Well if you ever participate, tell me and I’ll come cheer for you!” Meridia seemed quite comfortable talking to Ayami even though the difference in power was so great, she didn’t seem to pay any mind to it since she hadn’t come to fight. It simply meant that someone nice was there if earth was ever in trouble. Which made her reassured instead of scared. “Where did you train in martial arts? You must have great teachers to be this strong.” She asked smiling softly at the girl.

Ayami smiled, happy to hear that, it's not like the Water Elemi assumed she was special to live in the south islands area, a lot of people did, but meeting someone else who grew up similarly made her happy none-the-less. "I guess we have something in common, then! Where my home was at, I spent a lot of time on the beach too. The sea has...Some kind of charm to it that I can't really explain." She relaxed too, given that she was allowed to sit there, it was nice to meet another person so open and friendly. It would be a simple but relaxed visit, just the way she tended to like things!
Ayami giggled a bit upon hearing Meridia talk, it was nice to see someone else aspiring for something great, having dreams of her own that had recently been accomplished. "Well Meridia! I hope you succeed in being a smith! If ever you need help with that, I might be able to lend a hand in some way." She calmly extended the offer, she herself knew nothing about blacksmithing, but it never hurt to ask if someone needed a helping hand, especially when they were kind like this. She just figured it meant they deserved it all the more.
Ayami noticed more than one similarity between the two as she saw Meridia's eyes light up, she giggled a bit, before explaining herself. "I guess I've finally met someone who can match my enthusiasm. I know you'll accomplish what you set out to do, no problem!" Ayami gave a confident nod, she knew from experience that enthusiasm like that made anything possible. "After all...I used to be weak and untrained. It wasn't that long ago, either!" She smiled brightly saying that, she wasn't intent on boasting, she was merely trying to assure Meridia her own goals were possible.
Her eyes widened a bit as Meridia spoke up about the tournament, asking if the Water Elemi had ever participated. She shook her head before speaking again. "Not really, unfortunately, it's my dream to be a champion, and I had always wanted to, but before now I was always too weak to stand a chance. I didn't really have any teachers before, either." She giggled happily however. "If you will watch me, I'll gladly tell you when I compete." She really enjoyed talking with this girl, she was very kind and it made the Water Elemi feel comfortable.
She sat in silence for a little bit, just taking in the sights and breathing softly as it all calmed her, lately she had not gotten the chance to really slow down like this, if she wasn't meeting someone on the lookout, then it was more training, or helping with other tasks. To relax again like this it made her feel like the stress faded away into nothing. As though the world around these two had ceased to matter. Though...Meridia's next question posed to Ayami proved very interesting, Ayami turned to Meridia with a smile, her answer simple.
"Kami trained me!" Was all she said, a sincere grin across her face.
"Martial Arts is putting it a bit loosely don'tcha think Ayami?" the blonde hybrid girl asked with a smirk as she came in to land next to her and the red headed girl. She was dressed in her denim shorts, white tube top and red leather jacket. Her usual black combat boots were missing for the moment. The now nearly four month pregnant girl gave a slight oomph as she landed, her feet paddling in the cool sea water.
"Oh that feels so much better~" Cambia almost purred as she sat down on the sand. She sat there for a moment, wiggling her toes in the water. She'd chosen to temporarily escape from the Lookout for the time being, although no doubt Atsuko was going to go mad with concern the minute she found out that her younger sister was no longer there.
Back to the matter at hand, she figured it'd probably be best to introduce herself. "Cambia." she said, wiggling her tail as a sort of pseudo wave towards the red head before she returned to her relaxing at the beach. The Southern Isles definitely had the best beaches on Earth bar none. She hadn't expected the company, but was glad of it... if only so that the minute her sister tried to telepathically yell at her for putting herself, and the unborn baby, at risk, she could use Ayami's presence as a defence.
How long that'd hold up for, she genuinely had no clue. She kept her sword close at hand though in its sheath on her back, just in case... never know what could happen these days. For all she knew, another Saiyan invasion could randomly happen, or more of those creepy ass bug things that eat people... or worse.
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
