A Warm Welcome Indeed (Leena/Invite)

Leena seemed a little amazed by the Soy Training Hall. It was impressive, indeed, a true work of art for a training facility. The two saiyans were growing quite intimate as she was already making jokes with him, something most people on Planet Natto couldn’t get away with unscathed; Nasu had a terrible sense of humor and was quick to anger, but that wasn’t the case with her. Instead, he laughed out loud when she asked if it was a brawl or a date. – Hahahahaha! I’m excited to see if you will be able to crack such jokes once we get down to it! Hahahaha! – his tone didn’t hide the fact that Nasu was indeed having tons of fun with their moment. Just out of cautiousness, Leena reaffirmed it was a joke, and she said she was ready, asking if Nasu was ready himself. The saiyan Overseer chuckled a bit and stared at her with a mischievous smirk on his face.

– Oh, but I was born ready! – he bragged. Then, Lancer’s hologram appeared, suggesting he should step away from the brawl in order to allow Leena to tap into her fullest agility and reflexes, and that was quite a good decision. – Good call, Lancer! She will most definitely need it! – he confirmed, making a brief nod and chuckling a bit. Then, the saiyaness slung Lancer off, towards one of the holographic bushes outside the titled floor, then, the saiyaness cracked her fists and summoned her inner power, ascending past beyond the normal super saiyan transformation, straight into the Second Grade form, making Nasu chuckle a tad bit more.

It was clear, from her body signs, that, although easier than the first time she transformed, she was still struggling to have access to her transformed state. Once she transformed, her body became slightly less feminine, but she was still pretty, becoming bulkier. ”At least she isn’t using that third grade bullshit Miso likes…” he thought to himself and then, he closed his eyes, focusing on his inner power. His ki aura flared almost completely effortlessly, becoming bright gold and a little fiery like – much less than Leena’s aura, which burned like a blazing flame – his hair became spiked and glowing, but it more whitish than golden like Leena, showing the true and profound mastery Nasu held on his super saiyan form, able to harvest the fullest potential of the transformation, without any harm or strains to his body. Then, he slowly opened his now teal-colored eyes, a little darker than Leena’s version.

Nasu’s power level skyrocketed to nearly four million, which was an absurd mark, making him almost twice stronger than Leena was. He had a conceited smirk on his face, and, slowly and carefully he slid into his battle stance, with both fists clenched, left fist a couple inches from his jar, legs spread apart with slightly bent knees and his right arm close to his body with a bent elbow; this was the Soy School base fighting stance and he was going to fight using his father’s style and now his own.

– This, is the true power of the super saiyan form! The Super Saiyan Full Power! Worry not, you are really close to be able to achieve it, but don’t bother trying it now. You need a little more mastery over you ki before you do that! – he told her. After that, he chuckled. – So, let’s get down to business! – and, without any word of warning, Nasu dashed forward at an incredible speed, he would pretend to throw a powerful jab at Leena’s face, but he would stop his fist before actually hitting her. Should she prove to be unable to react and allow him to do so, he would chuckle again. – Are you going to stay there doing nothing? Next time I won’t stop my fist! – he warned her, taking large back step from her and falling into his battle stance once again, to start over the sparring session after the brief but scary display of power.

When Leena said that this wasn’t truly her final form, that made Nasu chuckle a bit more and he shook his head in disapproval. – Really? You want to go third grade, like Miso? This will wreck your speed so much that this spar won’t even be fun! – he said with a cheeky and teasing tone as he dashed forward to throw his fake attack right at the super saiyaness. Leena tried to dodge his feint punch but she wasn’t nearly fast enough to react to his surprise attack. Her reflexes were good, but Nasu was just way too fast. Still, she managed to lean back her body quite a lot and his clenched fist, which was intent yo be aiming at her face stopped right next to her breast. The saiyaness laughed and teased him with a joke regarding her breasts, but that wouldn’t be enough to make Nasu feel embarrassed, not nearly enough and, instead, he just chuckled and widened his mischievous and conceited smirk.

– Tell me what type of guy doesn’t! Hehehe! – he answered. Nasu was never really fond of relationships and stuff like that, he wasn’t very sentimental and didn’t like to expose himself to others in general, of course there were exceptions and, impressive enough, he was open up quite a lot with Leena, but, still, he had his male instincts and he felt desire, especially more recently as he got older and more mature. Breeding instincts were part of a saiyan as much as any other species, the main difference was that they didn’t always chose to start a family, although families were far more common in the Alliance than they were in the Empire.

After that, Leena quickly made quite a stunt with her chinese get up, making Nasu hmph. – Cool move, but still way too clumsy! Hehehe! But I will make a true fighter out of you soon! Hehehe! – and he meant it; he would start it today, teaching her in the techniques of the Soy School of Martial Arts. With Leena mastering the style, she would be far more deadly and capable of harvesting all her inner potential. This would also help her achieve mastery over her super saiyan form and she would ascend to the full powered state, rending the second grade and third grade pretty much useless and not worthy. The super saiyaness then claimed she wouldn’t allow him to hit her and that made him laugh out loud.

– Hahahahahaha! That was good, Leena! Very good!! Hahahaha! – and his mood was great right now. He could feel the butterflies taking over his stomach and making him feel the thrill of the fight, the adrenaline flowing inside his veins as his heartbeat accelerated, making him get into that survival state where one can harness the true potential of their body and ki energy. Then, as he finished laughing, Nasu stared back at her with a mischievous grin in the corner of his mouth.

– But… I was not asking for permission! Your assent is not required at all in this fight! – he warned her, chuckling a bit and then he started it again. Nasu immediately flared his bright golden fiery-like ki aura around his body and vanished from sight, reappearing behind her with all of his available speed. Then, upon reappearing, Nasu would immediately throw a knee strike to her back, aiming to hit right at her kidney. The main goal of such an attack wasn’t true damage, but pain; it didn’t matter that Nasu liked Leena and enjoyed her company, nor that they were starting to build mutual trust. No! This was a fight between super saiyans, and such spars weren’t supposed to end before one of them was unconscious in the ground and, later, into a medical machine recovering. This was the only way they could feel satisfied with a fight, and was also the best way to bring out the true power of their biology.

A saiyan grows stronger every time he is subjected to absurdly harsh conditions and survive, that was the true secret of their strength. This wasn’t a true zenkai, because zenkai was only truly activated a few times in life, and required a true escape from death, but, if it was to be explained, it would be some minor, more natural side of the zenkai, that acted more discretely but more frequently and easier to bring out. Nasu was doing that to himself lately, and pushing his brother, Jie Shan and others to that extreme too, and the results were great! They were all evolving a lot and at an absurd pace and, if he could do that to Leena too, it would be perfect. Even Karota and Miso were working hard on their trainings too. The Alliance was growing stronger by the day and, with that constant growing force, they wouldn’t be threatened by any other faction or Empire in the whole universe.

And so they trained.

If Nasu’s attack hit her, he wouldn’t give her a break and, immediately after the knee strike to her back, he would charge a blue-colored energy sphere on his left hand and fire at her, aiming to strike her back as she was sent away from him by the previous impact. Nasu was a ruthless fighter and he didn’t hold back, especially when facing an opponent who could survive against his super saiyan power. ”Make my blood boil, Leena! Give me this thrill!” he thought to himself, chuckling as he did so.

Using Super Saiyan Third Grade in a beam struggle was a nice strategy but also quite risky; you would need to make really sure you would win the beam struggle, otherwise the damage would be extreme, and could even mean death. Nasu never reached the third grade stage. Instead, he jumped straight into the full powered super saiyan form, which was much more balanced and with no strains to the stamina, which was important if the fight started to become lengthy. Nasu didn’t even know how to bulk up. I mean, he knew it in theory, but he had never practiced it and also had no interest on it. For him, balance was the best option ever and he wouldn’t be changing such mindset. – Unless you lose, then you are fucked! – and that was all he shared on that matter; this was no time for talking, it was a time for fighting, and fists spoke better than words.

Leena teased him back claiming he hadn’t seen anything yet and he chuckled in a cocky tone. – Then show me what you’ve got! – he answered to her. Then, upon saying she was an elite and that he should get serious, he chuckled again. – I’ve eaten plenty of elites for breakfast when I was on Vegeta the last time! Hehehe! – and with those words, he vanished and attacked with the knee strike. Leena was quick, he would have to give her that and, as he threw his attack to her kidney, the super saiyaness swiftly dodged the attack with a quick spin to the side. Nasu’s body went pass her, but he was quick to react and throw the ki blast right at her, but, once again. It was narrow dodges, and the attacks almost grazed at her, but, still, she surprised him quite a lot by accomplishing such an almost impossible feat. ”Hmm… Maybe I’ve underestimated her speed.” he thought to himself as he analyzed her body movement. But that fact didn’t spoil his mood, in fact, it made him even more excited now and he chuckled again, feeling the adrenaline rushing through his veins like crazy, and that sensation made him feel whole as a warrior.

It was now time for the reaction and she didn’t waste any time; Leena fired a simple purple-colored ki blast at him aiming at his side. Nasu just spun his hips and swiftly dodged it as if it was nothing to him, which was partially true. – Didn’t know you had slow motion attacks! Hehehe! – he teased her, implying that her attack was so slow that it seemed like it was moving in slow motion towards him, but the answer to his new tease came in the form of a stronger attack, the very same energy wave she had used against Miso the last time he saw her fight and that made him widen his conceited smirk and chuckle a bit more.

Nasu spread open his arms, leaving his chest open for her energy wave, but as it got near him, he brought his arms together, clapping his hands and completely dissipating the Energy Wave making it vanish from existence without breaking a sweat. – Child’s play! – he said with a cocky tone and, following that, Nasu separated his palms a little, forming a small but condensed energy sphere, blue in color, in between them. ”Let’s continue to test her on easy-mode!” he decided as he finished gathering the energy. As soon as he formed it, he pushed his arms forward, firing the powerful ki blast right at Leena’s stomach. Then, as he fired it, he immediately vanished from sight again and reappeared a few feet on her back, charging yet another energy sphere – the same size as the one he had fired just now, and fired it again, aiming now at her back.


This way he would have two attacks coming from opposite sides, making dodging it far more difficult. The two energy spheres were quite simple ones but the power behind them was huge; almost on pair with her technique, the Hunter’s Blast, showing just how incredible Nasu’s skills were. He was true martial arts master and he had learned how to use both his body and his ki energy to its fullest extent. ”Let’s see what you’ve got up your sleeves, Leena!” he thought to himself, chuckling again. This spar was too much fun, the most fun he had in weeks! And he was willing to make the most out of it.

Nasu chuckled at her words, questioning what kind of elite he had fought during the Alliance-Empire war, which only widened his cocky smirk. – I made no distinction! People call that a war, but that was a one-sided massacre of the Alliance, that’s how powerful we were! And now we are even stronger! – and the “even stronger” part wasn’t completely truth; while it was true that the Alliance was now much more balanced in regards to distribution of power, it was stronger in sheer power when Natto and Tomoroko were still alive, and that was an unquestionable fact. Still, the power being so concentrated was a dangerous thing, as they would soon learn when the leaders died at the hands of their own ally, leaving the Alliance quite weakened and vulnerable, a mistake Nasu wasn’t willing to make. No, for him, concentrated power meant nothing if it could be easily taken away by killing a single individual. Then, when teased, she said that she wasn’t doing her best, so it was about time to push her to her limit. ”I guess I should end playing nice after this little stunt I’m about to throw!” he said.

Despite “looking” golden because of the ki aura he had flared around his body, Nasu’s tail remained its natural brown color even while on his super saiyan form. That was a trait his family had, at least from his father’s side. Anyway, back at the fight, Nasu had fired the attack at Leena and she complimented him, saying she was underestimating him. – That’s not a mistake you would like to make! – he said, before vanishing and firing the second ki blast, cornering Leena in a tight spot. But the super saiyaness was quite resourceful and cunning, he had to give her that. She managed to do a backflip over Nasu before she was hit by both ki blasts. The ki blasts met each other, generating a large explosion in the middle of the ring, cracking the titled floor beneath it a little bit. Then, Nasu followed Leena’s movement with his teal eyes, seeing she landing right behind him. ”Will she try that?” he thought to himself, quite curious if that was actually her plan. And it was.

The super saiyaness grabbed his tail that was tightly wrapped around his waist and even celebrated that fact, as if it would turn the tables in her favor. She was chuckling in awe with her accomplishment, but Nasu didn’t flinch and then she realized: the tail wasn’t a weakness for him; it hasn’t been a weakness for a very long time, ever since he was a child. – Good try, but, unfortunately… - he started, as he moved his tail to unwrap it from his waist, pushing Leena towards his back with quite a lot of force, trying to throw the super saiyaness of balance with the unexpected movement. At the very same time, Nasu’s ki flowed like crazy inside his body, strengthening it as he threw a powerful elbow strike with his right arm right at her face, synchronizing the movement with the push of the tail, to leave her opened, being a very difficult attack to dodge.

– This is Soy School technique number one! Flash Spirit! – he exclaimed as he threw the elbow strike. Following that, should it hit or not, he would follow it immediately with a quick spin of his body, aiming to hit her with a back kick, using his heels to hit her with absurd strength. This kind of kick was also called “half-moon” kick, involving a slight arching of the back and a higher lift of the leg to give a larger curvature, perfect for striking opponents by surprise when facing away from them. If hit, the kick would throw Leena away quite a lot, as it used even more power than Nasu’s already powerful melee attacks and ki blasts. This was a technique, after all, and the first one in the technique tree of the Soy School. If Leena was smart, she would be paying attention to that movement in order to be able to copy it.

In any case, as soon as he finished throwing his technique, Nasu would turn around and jump backwards, to put even more distance in between the fighters. He was still in top shape and quite excited that the fight was actually just beginning. The super saiyan would fold his arms and stared at Leena. – So, how do you like it? My technique. This is the ultimate combat style of the Saiyan Alliance, developed by my parents! It’s a privilege to be allowed to learn it! Hehehe! – he said with a large smirk, chuckling quite a lot.

Nasu felt a great sensation of satisfaction as his elbow hit Leena’s face, causing considerable damage; not that he took particular pleasure in hurting her, but, in a fight, damaging your opponent is a must, and this was the very first time his attack had connected to the saiyaness. ”Took long enough!” he thought to himself, chuckling a bit as he moved his body to the next stage of his powerful technique. Her screams were music to his ears and just made it all more satisfying. The, as he got ready to throw the back kick, Leena managed to recover just enough so that she could cross her arms in front of her gut and attempt to block the kick. The super saiyaness was kneeling to the ground and managed to block the kick. The shockwave it generated made a crater on the titled floor and Nasu stared at her with the corner of his eyes, now with a more serious expression due to the surprise on having her block his kick. Still, it must have hurt like a bitch.

”Still resourceful. That’s quite surprising.” he hmphed at her, noticing the stream of blood running down her nose; it wasn’t broken, but it got pretty damn close. ”In a sense, I’m happy it isn’t broken. It would ruin her pretty face for a while!” he thought to himself, as he cracked a subtle but mischievous grin and leaped backwards, to put some distance in between them so that they could start again, folding his arms as he did so, staring at the super saiyaness, trying to predict what she would be attempting next, but he couldn’t really read it yet.

”Surprise me again, Leena!” he thought to himself, hoping she would, and she most definitely would. The saiyaness wiped the blood out of her nose with the back of her hand, then she smirked and laughed. She said that now she was going to get real difficult. – Then, show me! – Nasu said, and Leena disappeared. He narrowed his eyes, impressed at her speed, but that wouldn’t allow her to catch him off-guard. Nasu closed his eyes for a second, with a far more serious expression on his face now as he focused on his ki sensing ability to pinpoint her location in the training hall.

When he felt her, she was reappearing behind him and he quickly turned around to stare at her, with his full body ready to counter. Leena claimed she got him now, and he roared back at her. – Too slow! – Nasu clenched his right fist and was ready to throw it at her when she seemingly vanished again, catching him by surprise one more time. Seemed like even her ki signature had vanished from the face of the planet, and that made his jaw drop a little; he knew of only one person capable of fully hiding her presence, even as a super saiyan and using techniques, and that was the ki master, Colonel Karota, the most skilled ki user Nasu had ever met on his life. For Leena to be able to, even if briefly, use such a tactics, it meant a lot.

”Dammit! Where is she?!” he growled to himself, looking all around the place. Then, she appeared out of nowhere, right in front of him, making him grunt a little bit as the reaction time was almost inexistent. She was attempting to hit him with an elbow to the face, and that was very similar to the technique he had just used against her. ”Is this what I think it is?! After seeing me using it only once?!” he asked himself, completely startled by that. The second the elbow was about to hit his face, Nasu managed to move his left hand and stop the elbow with it, inches away from his face, but he knew that he wouldn’t have the time to stop what was coming.

The super saiyaness did a little stunt and then landed a powerful kick to the back of his shoulder. Nasu moved a couple feet forward with the impact and his left knee almost touched the floor, but he held back in the last available second. ”I don’t bend my knee!” he reminded himself as he corrected his posture, turning around to stare at Leena with a serious expression on his face.

She was there, some feet away from him and panting a little. Leena said that she hadn’t trained in quite a while and that her nose was fucked up too. She added that she should have expected that his tail was trained. Her personality was pleasant to him and that allowed him not to become angered even when she managed to hit him when he didn’t want to be hit. His pride wasn’t at stake because it was a spar between the two of them. Nasu managed to crack a grin once again and chuckled too.

– Seems like you’ve managed to learn the Flash Spirit quite easily! Congratulations, you are indeed something worth of my time! Hehehehe! – he said, complimenting and teasing her at the same time. – But that was just one of my most basic attacks. Now… I will show you one thing! Another technique of my school… And one of my signature techniques! Hehehe! – the young super saiyan Overseer said, but he didn’t start moving or charging anything yet, he was giving her a break to catch her breath again, she would most definitely need it.

Nasu chuckled with his mischievous smirk when she said that it was exciting that he was about to charge a new technique. After that, Leena asked if he was surprised that she managed to completely vanish from sight, even going as far as erasing her energy signature. Nasu shrugged a bit. – Can’t say I wasn’t. Never saw anyone playing such a stunt. The closest I’ve seen is Karota, she can suppress her power level almost completely even as a super saiyan and while using most of her techniques! It’s completely annoying! – he said, remembering about the time he went to look for her in the northern mountains, and had a terrible time actually finding her, even though she was attacking him plenty of times, just to vanish before he could pinpoint her location. The super saiyaness began to explain what happened, and informed him that it was some sort of elite technique she had learn.

It seemed to be quite limited, to be honest, you couldn’t do anything while using it, so it limited its usefulness, but it was still quite surprising and caught him slightly off-guard. Nasu nodded once she finished explaining that and touched his chin with both index and thumb. – Interesting. I can’t see that working again now, but it was quite a stunt. To think you had such a technique. I guess the Empire really did have some aces I wasn’t aware of. – he admitted. Truth be told, he got interested in such a technique, but once he found out that it was so restrictive he lost interest. Nasu liked a more straightforward approach in battle, so that technique wouldn’t suit his style anyway.

The super saiyan was ready to get back into fighting when he noticed Leena blushing. – Hm? – he muttered to himself, with a more curious expression taking over his face. Then, Leena stared at him and said there was something she wanted to ask him, getting him rather puzzled. The super saiyaness then approached him and he made a brief nod, with a more serious expression now.

– Go ahead. – he simply said. She said that resting time was good to getting to know each other and he got slightly more confused. ”Hmm… I’ve never saw it that way, but I guess it makes sense…” he thought to himself. – I guess, yes… - his tone was rather unsure and then she threw the bomb, directly asking him if he liked her. The super saiyan’s jaw dropped only slightly and a drop of cold sweat ran down his left temple in a quite surprised expression.

– What? – he asked and then she continued speaking, explaining she was feeling warm despite her injured nose and that she was slowly falling for him. Nasu gazed away for a second, without saying a word. ”Damn time to ask such a question! Grr…” he thought to himself, growling a bit, but then he sighed deeply, closing his eyes for a moment. ”But… Yeah, I’m liking her. This is annoying!” he realized, feeling rather stupid deep inside. Then, Nasu opened his teal-colored eyes and stared back at her, right into her oddly-colored super saiyan eyes. He still had a sort of confused expression on his face when he began speaking.

– I guess I do, yes. I’ve never paid much attention to such things, to be completely honest. But you made me feel interested and I was never interested this way before, so, yes, I guess I do like you. – he said, scoffing a bit, as he grew frustrated with himself. ”Damn you, Karota! You with your go nice bullshit is making me a soft piece of shit!” he cursed the hybrid saiyaness, but he knew there was little he could do about his own feelings; Nasu had been changing lately. From the ruthless and cruel egoistical warrior without any allies, he was becoming a true leader, someone who cared for more things than his own self, and that was even able to choose others interests in place of his own. It wasn’t easy to change like that, but he was slowly getting to it. Of course he would never be kind and gentle like his father, or as affectionate and caring like his mother, but he was getting closer to their personality as he did his best to behave as someone who would inspire others. Oddly enough, this was reassuring in many ways and he, although he didn’t like to admit it, liked it quite a bit.

His expression became more serious. – Good thing you feel the same way, though, but we can figure it out what we will do about it later. Right now we have a training session in place, and I won’t let this get in the way! We are saiyans first and foremost! – he said with a much more determined tone as he take a huge leap backwards, putting quite a lot of distance in between them. – I promise I will tell you everything I’ve been thinking once this sparring session is over! But we are not even close! So… Focus now, because I’m about to show you what true power is! – he said in a loud tone, as if he wanted to temporarily erase his own thoughts. After that, Nasu started charging a blue-colored energy sphere on his right palm. The super saiyan pulled it backwards and continued to charge it a little bit more. – This is the Soy School signature technique! – he announced as he finished charging his attack. As soon as he said that, he threw his hand back forward, firing a powerful energy sphere right at the super saiyaness. It was really strong and quite fast, but she had already seen that technique before: it was the exact same technique Miso used against her on their battle.

– SPIRIT CANNON!! – he shouted as he fired the attack. Maybe Leena could surprise him even more by copying that technique, but that was up to her.
