*His own spacecraft, traveling from Natto to Earth*
Half an hour after leaving planet Natto, Hotato had some toughs about his current power level - 'Thinking about it, my current power pales in comparison with most of the higher ups from the Alliance. If Earth is indeed a place worth of such powerful opposition, maybe I should at least get a little more strong' - and deciding to use part of his time to train, the young warrior left the computer on auto-pilot and proceed to the ship's training room - 'Let's see...humm, been almost a decade since I trained in a stronger gravity level, time to go back into shape. I think 50G will be go-' - just as he pressed the button, he felt like he was inside a pool of lead, his body reacted in slow motion and with too much effort, even breath was a challenge as the power of gravity pressed his back and chest - 'Nope! Too much! Must ch-' - and sliding down his finger on the control panel of the gravity machine the room went back to normal and Hotato could breath easy again - 'Yeah...*pant*...not my best choice...*pant*...gonna be smart now. Natto's gravity is 10G, so, 20G should be a good start.' - the effects were still felt but in a much less intensity - 'Now, time to work.'
Beginning his training with a series of light exercises like sit-ups and push-ups, a warm up for the real training he was going to go through - 'This is...the best...way to...loose...some...fat'. Then he proceeded to training his ki control by doing exercises while flying, feeling his own energy path while channeling it from it's source and through his entire body, requiring much concentration - 'At least this is an advantage of being alone'. After every series, he ran suicides, running or flying from one side of the room to the other. The next phase was the most tricky: shadowing. Basically the young saiyan was gonna form a mental image of a spar partner and fight it. The tricky part wasn't the choice, as Hotato were thinking on fighting his old friend and best spar partner he ever had, Sarada. No, the trick was to accurately remember the movements and reactions that the real person showed and know how they used it, and choosing the saiyaness as opponent, even when he clearly remembers fights against stronger foes like Kabito, his mother, or even his father, Sarada's fighting style was the best for improving his reaction time and even if she was like a wild beast fighting, Hotato knew her almost perfectly as both of them where sparring every time at the Academy - 'Ok Shadow Sarada, show me your moves, help me get stronger.'
The fight started with Sarada rushing forward with a sequence of punches and kicks making the young boy be on the defensive, walking backyards to enable to deflect the attacks, the sequence turns into a low kick and Hotato jumps but take a rising kick that connects but is blocked, permitting Hotato to grab her foot and make a counter attack by pushing her away to unbalance her and let him go to the offensive, throwing his own barrage of punches while Sarada closes her arms on her body to improve her defenses. At this kind of time, the young hybrid would pull back a little and shoot one of his techniques, but as this is just a simulation, the attack would hit the ship and that would be a disaster. Hotato then comes with a new idea. As Sarada is folding her arms tight, the boy stops his assault and takes stance and by jumping forward then quickly drops to the ground to double kick the saiyaness up into the air. Then, he back-flips up onto his feet and flies up into the air above the girl, finishing by knocking her down to the ground with a double axe handle. Sarada still manage to get up but she was badly injured and can't stand ok on her feet - 'Well, your part is done monkey girl, you may rest' - and the image of the saiyan girl disappears in thin air - 'Now I need to train this new idea of mine against a more defensive opponent, hum...who...? Who...? I know!'
Taking stance again, Hotato materialize in front of him the figure of his mother, Koko - 'This will be interesting, just gonna power her down so she doesn't destroy me and we are set. Come mom!'. The start of the fight is bluntly one-sided, with Koko never needing to break her stance to defend against Hotato, the teenager is mentally tired already - 'I can't win even against a weakened image of mom...holy crap she was strong as hell. But I must maintain focus, the secret lies on the feint...wait, if I do a...yes! I can still do it!' - and doing another try on his attack he finally succeeds to pass by his mother's defense and connect the entire combo. 'Holy shit it worked! Let's go again' - and jumping forward for a feint, then side-stepping he do another, and finally on the third time he connect the first hit, the secret to his success was: multiple feints. 'Nice, it worked perfectly. Without knowing which one is the real feint, my chances increases drastically so I can finally hit' - and doing the tactic for a third time he finally feels secure to apply it on a real fight - 'It's not perfect yet, but I will become better with time'
Hotato decides to stop his training of shadowing for now his new combo idea had mature enough so he could utilize it in real combats. He then proceeds to practice the timing to achieve a better momentum until he the ship informs him he is a three hours from his destination and he decides to go get some rest before arriving on Earth. After good hot shower and a good and healthy meal (the saiyan equivalent to bacon with eggs and pancakes with honey) Hotato goes to sleep, leaving the computer to warn him should anything happen on his travel or he arrives on the blue planet.
