The Road to Tomorrow!!

"Aaagh! It's like there's no end!!" Son groaned, his legs continuing to take him forward. Never halting for even a second, he still had some of that young people energy in him. And just like this road, the energy and intent he had was undying and never ending! Eyes kept forward, tracing each and every single detail he passed, the young man sprinted faster and faster. His breaths controlled and tempered so that less power was consumed on breathing and more used on his legs. Ideas and thoughts had crossed through the male's skull as he ran though. What was the King Kai like? Would he prefer being called King Kai or King? Maybe just Kai? Or perhaps, Northern Kai? North K? N. Dog? Son would figure it out when he got there! Aside form nick names, he had thought of several other things to go with this journey. What would he learn? A new fighting style, maybe? A new move? Would he have to prove himself to the deity in order to even really train? Stuff that would be covered later was being questioned now. He was so excited! He even giggled a little from the idea of becoming more stronger and in tune with a Kai! It wasn't every day that a Earthling could say they trained with the King of Kais! "He must be mighty important to be the all time King of the Kais!" Son expanded on his title for a minute. Speaking of ideas, Son had quickly stopped. Dragging his heels and nearly falling over from the built up speed he had accumulated.

"My problem is, I ain't thinkin' like grandpa! Hehehe!"

Giggling a little more, Son turned. He was standing on an area of Snake Way that curved toward the right. Now he would face where the road shifted to the right, meaning the area that one would fly straight off of if they ran straight and only straight. With a mighty heave and a slight 'Hup!' the young man sprang forward a good deal. Jumping rather than walking! Way faster and more efficient. And, as they said: Ignorance is bliss. He had no clue that falling off the path could take him to hell. But, even without knowing that, he didn't feel like falling anyway. Even he could put one and one together and get that beneath the golden clouds was a world of hate and evil below. He didn't quite feel like experiencing that today. Especially with all the progress he had made so far! All.. .0001 percent of progress that he could say was under his belt. Each jump he made felt short, but progressively got longer and more wide as the road unwinded. Signalling that there was far more to cross. Son's giddy and laughs hadn't halted, however. For as he began to get fancy, flipping and spinning, he had entertained himself with the idea of meeting his great grandpop. One hundred percent unlikely, but a guy could dream!

Huffing some, the young Saiyajin continued hopping forward. Skipping almost, as he used each leg in tandem. Left pushing forward, then right, left, right. Beautifully and gracefully lunging forward. His lips remaining in a curved smile, energy unceasing. Although, he'd be a damned liar if he said his legs weren't beginning to feel somewhat fatigued. A slight pulling sensation in his lower leg. He'd tough it out for now. He had to keep it rolling, he had a goal to carry out!

"Phew! Im gettin' there! I see somethin'! I just..uh, I just can't make out what it is, exactly..! But, it must be somethin'! Eyes, don't fail me now!" Son huffed quite happily. Stopping his forward motion of jumping. Haling the flow of kinetic energy and replacing it by potential. In other words, he had stopped all together and collapsed onto his hind end. His legs open and hands on his lap, chin tilted up with his face pointing up to the sky. He needed just a few seconds before he'd take off again. Something he was really hoping King Kai had was food. He hadn't thought of it before, but being dead was a lot of work! Son's stomach had roared powerfully, craving something be put inside to hold him down! All this running and jumping had made him starve! And a starving Saiyan wasn't a Saiyan you wanted to deal with; Hybrid or not! Patting his belly gently, Gouken had jumped onto his feet. Biting his lip and feeling his mouth water with what kind of food Shinjins ate. They must have had the greatest fish, the best chickens! Y'know, food for gods!

Using this as fuel, Son Gouken bolted once more! This time, taking to the skies and flying forward!

"THERE IT IS!!!" Gouken would scream boisterously. Joy filling his heart and the young man expressing it quite ecstatically. Performing literal front flips and cartwheels to display just how happy he was. The scent of delicious food had tickled his nostrils too, which sent him flying forward. It was clear to see, that one had to be really freaking happy in order to perform literal cart wheels and spins while flying forward. Descending onto the main path, Son Gouken began walking forward and into the unknown castle. His hand coming over his stomach and rubbing in slight circles. His eyes wide open and pupils darting form side to side as he entered fully. Searching for the one known as King Kai. Well, his eyes weren't exactly giving him any information up front. SO, the second best option had to be used! Dropping his jaw, the young man unleashed a cry that Princess Snake, to whom he hadn't known at the time, must have been so used to.

"KING KAIIII!! ARE YA HERE?!"

"Huh?" Son turned attention the teal skinned female. Blinking for a moment before prodding his lower lip with his free hand's index finger. Curiosity spurring within him as he examined her form. Blue skin, black hair, purple dress. Nice, red eyes. She was definitely a girl, so she wasn't King Kai. But, who she was, a question that should have been primary, was disregarded nearly immediately. The moment she asked if he was hungry and the combined smell of what lie before him? Well, you could bet your sweet rear that he was gonna nod and say yes wholeheartedly. "You have no clue! And I smell somethin' amazing!!" He said bluntly. "Um..Snake Princess? So, this isn't King Kai's castle? Darn it! Well, maybe King Kai can wait a few more minutes. Right?" Son said almost sheepishly. He didn't want to get side tracked, especially with how far he had come, but..hunger was hunger. And being a Saiyan? If he didn't eat, then that was game over! "Say, how far is King Kai anyway? Not too much farther, right?"

"Erm..okay. What's the worse that could happen?" Son questioned for a moment. Scratching behind his ear before going and finding somewhere to take a seat. Sitting comfortably with his hands on the table presented and his eyes focused on whatever could be given to him. He'd eat and then skedaddle. He was sure that Princess Snake would agree with that. Licking his lips, Son waited patiently. Blinking, he wondered what it would have had been like if still had his original haircut. Grandpa and Grandma mentioned something about a castle and great grandpa before. Welp, chow time!
