Back to the Break Wasteland, to the same area he had once parked the mothership, Plasma was now searching for clues to where could the kold demon, Wintery, might have gone. He had past the last 3 hours looking into the region, scouting every corner and nook for the tiniest hint about his ex-colleague. But he had not leave any trace of his presence, if there ever were any - 'Shit...that guy can really hide himself, even with a power level that high...maybe my new troops can help me out with some intel' - and reaching his badge so the bio-mechanoid can contact one of his soldiers, members of the Fearless Crew assigned to him by Saki to be a troop under the command of Plasma, as he was now hold a high rank on the faction. Clicking a button on the side of the badge, the image of a girl materialize as an hologram. He spoke first:
- This is Plas-...err, Squad Leader, no, wait...forget it! This is Plasma! - said the bio-android over the communicator - Do you copy?
- Yes sir, Oracle Ayla, on the line...and I think the proper rank is Secunda, sir! teehee - said the officer.
Ayla is a earthling girl who joined The Lanza before it's fall and stayed for it's rebirth as the Fearless Crew. The girl is probably fifteen or sixteen years old, judging by her appearance. She is short and slender, with bright green eyes and long and smooth black hair reaching her tights. She wears a full body black leather suit with red details, as well as a empty holster at her chest left side. She was a foot soldier at first, but after some demonstration of her talents with computers and information gathering, she was promoted to operator, and now she works as the link between the field agents and the base.
- Yeah, yeah, thank you officer, I still haven't adjusted to it...anyway! How's the search on the Earth's communication systems going? Any unusual report or comment popped up yet?
- Some yes, but none matching or getting close to your specifications, sir - her way of talk is kinda of between formal and casual, maybe because Plasma himself talks like that - Sir, do you really think this target is of any relevance to the safety of Earth?
- Not so much to the whole planet yet, but with his power he can defeat practically any earthling he come across, including you troopers - responded the Secunda of the Crew - Besides, he is a kold demon. If let alone, he can grow stronger and then become a real threat.
- But didn't you said he was a member of your former mercenary group? How do you guys dealt with him then? - and Plasma looked up before answering.
- My ex-boss, Odrog, was kind of a genius when dealing with people. He could find a middle ground with a simple talk and then work his cunning to win over the situation, most of the times. Sometimes however he used his weird abilities and the strength of another member of the squad like me. But he never put a member of the team in danger, and I kinda want to mirror this aspect of him - looking back at the girls image, he continued - With Wintery was a little of both ways: we defeated him first before Odrog win him over with his arguments.
- But sir...how do you know he is trouble? Do you have any evidence he can do harm to this planet?
- Yes, I always thought that there was something shady with him. Every time we landed on a space station he would disappear, and later people were reported missing. And my suspicions were proven when I followed him once and ended up discovering he was dealing with a hooded person. I followed this person and found out he was another kold demon. I then attacked and knocked him out, searching his belongings after, and what I found? Plans to the rebirth of the Kold Empire. Wasn't this proof of his character, the plans also stated a list of planets as targets, with the names of what I could guess were the leaders of such planets. The list had some planets highlighted: Brench, Blehbarry, Natto and Earth. That's why I know he is up to no good, and that's why I'm prioritizing finding him, because even if he is not powerful, his hidden actions do more damage than a full frontal attack. So yeah, I do know he is trouble.
- I...understand sir. But why go alone? We can help you not only with the search but also provide back-up for you if a fight is to happen - her tone was sincere and she looked anxious to help, and that was what the bio-android feared.
- I DO...trust you guys. The reason I do not want help on the field it's because I want everyone checking the news in case the target appear - he lied. The reason was he didn't know if he could take care of them in case things went south - Ayla, right? I'll be radio silence for some time, there's something I want to try and I need to concentrate for it.
- Understood sir, Oracle Ayla checking out.
Finishing the call, the blue bio-machine would start his new plan - 'Ok, I couldn't find him by simply looking, there is no rumors about him for the troops could find and I can't sense his energy in this region either. Guess I'm gonna have to try extend my reach...' - Plasma then found the highest mountain on the region, sat at it's top - 'Clear my mind and concentrate solely on tracking life forces' - starting meditating, he shrugged off all the distractions around him. The cold, the strong wind, the sunlight; he forgot about it all and focused on his ki sense technique. He could easily find all the beings that lived around the desert lands, as well as in the West City, but his targeting was now to expand this little by little at first, speeding things up as he becomes more skilled in it's use. Soon, the bio-machine consciousness was reaching the other areas: the tropical jungles and beaches of the Southern Islands, where most the populace lives by the ocean; the calm plains of the Eastern Islands, called farmlands because of how most of the food, like meat, milk and others supplies comes from there; and finally, the Cold North, an almost inhospitable region where only the most adapted or who possess great will survive because of the harsh cold temperatures and scarce food resources.
His control over the sensing technique have improved greatly since he evolved into his second form, even more now that he was pushing his own limitations. Although the bio-android could not discern well the many life energy signatures he was sensing now, he was looking primarily for those that hold above the average powers, and oh boy he found them. At least three of them, one stronger than the other, floating between the planet and the outer space - 'Okay...staying clear from there...must be Saki's friends or something, he should have some kind of surveillance there. And still no kold demon...better try to refine my search'. As he was already able to sense what he though to be the entire planet's life energies, he was now gonna look specifically for traces of Wintery. A long period of time travelling together, getting to know each others habits and personas, gave Plasma a pretty good knowledge of the kold demon's energy signature and preferable whereabouts on Earth, and the bio-machine narrow his search on the northern regions. And luck him, he found the ex-colleague there, between the mountains, the energy signature pulsing as if the kold was training - 'Finally, I got you now'
