A bikini clad figure stepped onto the porch, enormous bust barely contained within her top. Wide fertile hips and round fleshy rump hugged lovingly by strings clinging for dear life. Melonia stretched her arms high above her head, a towel draped across her slender shoulders. She had been enjoying a warm midday with a long leisure swim in the Lan Dian exercise pool. Working her body into a sweat as she moved through the temperate waters. She had swum for several long hours, until her skin was getting pruned and her arms were becoming sore. She'd lost track of how many laps after the first few hundred. Now she just wanted some lunch, and maybe a nap. Melonia moved down the halls with the grace of a runway model, each step a tantalizing affair that flaunted her body's considerable womanly curves. Such a body commanded considerable appetite, lithe frame packed with toned muscle hidden beneath a bountifully ample figure. Like almost all Saiyans, Melonia had a rather healthy appetite. The rigorous of their ultra high levels of activity demanded virtually every meal be a small feast. So Melonia made way to the kitchen of the compound to see what kind of food she could cook up. Hopefully something succulent, delicious, and easy to make.
The Lan Dian estate was rather well furnished, each hall adorned with the ostentatious trappings of wealth. The lowermost floor held the gravity chamber, guard barracks, and no small number of training facilities. With dozens of household guards, and hundreds of staff, the Lan Dian manner was quite the improvement from the soldier's barracks Melonia had grown most accustomed to for much of her adult life. The second level held the guest quarters, including her own humble residence. Well furnished rooms, if a bit lacking in taste. They had all the amenities needed including personal bathrooms and walk in closets. Again, Melonia found this arrangement vastly more agreeable to her than simply showering with her comrades in huge communal facilities, storing her personal effects in a footlocker beneath her bed. The third level and up were Jie Shan's private residences, no doubt including his own personal facilities as well as his Counselor's offices. Melonia had not stepped foot up there, but she imagined what it might be like. All of this mattered little as the bikini clad beauty made way for the dining facilities. Hovering just off the ground to avoid getting her wet feet on the carpeting. She descended to walk once entering the tiled flooring of the kitchens, moving towards the pantries to see what delectable ingredients awaited inside.
Upon opening them though Melonia's heart sank, landing right in the pit of her empty stomach. Shelves barren, cupboards empty, no cans or bags or even boxes of food for her to enjoy. The fridges proved just as unhelpful, everything woefully out of date or unsuitable for consumption. It was appalling someone had allowed the manor's stockpile of food to run so low. The rumbling her stomach and the pain that brought with it told Melonia all she needed to know. She would have to the one to replenish the Lan Dian pantries, which actually gave her an excellent opportunity to get out and stretch her legs. Melonia had hardly had reason to leave the manor of late, save for training on her incursions to the outlands well beyond the Soy Capital. And so with a quick turn of her feet the Saiyaness made a hasty return to her personal quarters. She quickly toweled herself dry, tossing the dirtied cloth into a hamper to sit with the rest.
Melonia quickly began rummaging for something more appropriate to wear, while she admired her body in a swimsuit, she didn't need quite that much attention from people as she traveled in public. Discarding the skimpy attire the woman threw on a fresh change of undergarments before stepping into her closest to find suitable dress. What she settled on was a bit more casual than she'd anticipated, but quite comfortable nonetheless. A long pair of leggings with a cute skirt worn over top, held up by a thin belt with a large gemstone in the center. Melonia's midriff was bare, revealing the flat toned expanse of her stomach and her tantalizingly thin waist. The Saiyan warrior wore a short crop top with long loose flowing sleeves. She quickly reaffixed her now dried hair into its traditional shape, holding its form with her pink ponytail bracelets. Giving herself a twirl in front of a full body mirror, Melonia gave a satisfactory nod at her appearance. Moving to grab her purse the woman hurried out the door, making for the entrance to the Lan Dian estate.
Shutting the main entrance door behind her, Melonia sped off into the skies at a brisk pace. An aura of violet Ki encasing the woman as she flew towards the downtown districts of the Soy Capital. The gleaming spires of the seemingly endless towers and the rounded domes of the housing structures growing closer by the minute. Melonia touched down on one of the main boulevards, a steady stream of vehicles and traffic pouring down the densely packed streets. Saiyans of all walks of life walking, or flying, to their destinations as they went about their days. It was always a bit of a surprise to Melonia that so many Saiyans lived such mundane lives, as opposed to joining the ranks of the military as she had. Though in truth it made sense, no society could survive purely on its military. Soldiers in the front lines could only win battles if they had doctors, scientists, laborers, teachers, engineers, and all manner of other job supporting the infrastructure of the new home world. Natto was a relatively recently colonized planet, at least compared to ancient Vegeta... captured though it may be.
Still musing to herself on the intricacies of a world's socioeconomic structure, Melonia came to the location she was looking for. A large multistory department store that inhabited a tower that rose a mile into the air. Smiling warmly, and of course commanding the interest of many passerby men, Melonia stepped eagerly into the store with every intention of buying at least a week's worth of food for the manor. The lower levels of the store were a bustle of activity, hundreds of patrons busily shopping about the lowest level and moving through the building's main lobby. Melonia made her way to a large directory kiosk to look for information on where the retail grocer was located. A brief inspection revealed the floor, and rather than take the stairs Melonia simply ascended up to the appropriate level by flying up the central lobby. Landing gracefully Melonia was silently thankful she had decided to wear leggings under her skirt. The potential for embarrassment there with flying vertically in a building full of people only occurred to her after the fact.
Melonia found a shopping cart and quickly set herself to the task of purchasing enough food to satiate her residence's appetites for as long a duration as possible. Passing through the produce aisles the Saiyan was immediately drawn to the scent of fresh fruits, piled high in great displays in all manner of strange shapes and colors. She began piling her cart full of assorted berries, melons, and large bunches of anything in particular that suited her fancy. The rigors of a healthy diet reminded Melonia she'd need vegetables to round out such an excess of fruit, and so she reluctantly wheeled her cart over to the racks of produce. She found them less savory to pallet, but just as, if not more useful to a healthy diet. So naturally large amounts of leafy greens, assorted gourds, beans, and even nuts made their way into the cart alongside the fruit. Humming a tune to herself Melonia rounded a corner to go search for grains to add to her growing collection of food stuffs.
The grocery store had a fully fledged bakery, and as Melonia neared the delicious scents of fresh baked bread was wafting through the air. She couldn't help but water at the mouth at the scent. Hunger took hold of her, her belly rumbling greedily for sustenance. Melonia broke down and bought several muffins for herself to snack on. Bigger than her first and lusciously warm. She munched contently on them while continuing her shopping, stacking dozens of loaves of fresh bread into her cart, in addition to bagels, croissants, rolls, and a somewhat obscene number of other baked goods. Several large sacks of rice followed, and at that Melonia was content she had enough goods from the bakery section of the store. Swallowing the last of her gluttonous treat the woman made way for the deli to stock up on fresh meats, the work horse of any serious Saiyan meal.
The deli was located on the far side of the grocer from the bakery, which was a shame as it required navigating a cart laden with food past throngs of other shoppers. Along the way Melonia found time to toss random other assorted odds and ends into her rapidly filling grocery cart, mostly junk food and candies, but this was her shopping trip, she was allowed to treat herself. Reaching the deli, once more Melonia's senses were nearly overwhelmed with the scent of delicious food. This time a near endless assortment of meats prepared in a hundred different ways. Each seemingly better tasting than the last. The Saiyan warrior had an affinity for fish, so naturally she gathered up an enormous amount of that. Steaks were a close second, followed by brisket, ribs, haunches, roasts, and bacon. All carved from the great beasts raised as chattel in the farms that dotted the vast countryside around the capital city of Natto. By now Melonia's cart was nearly full to the brim, and she hadn't even gotten dairy yet. Going with the prudent option, she found a second cart, transferring the wealth of meat she purchased to it, thereby freeing her up to load her grocery carts with even more. Laughing to herself at the sheer audacity of it all Melonia departed for the dairy section at last.
Upon arriving the Saiyness made a beeline for the cheeses, fine aged and made from the milk of creatures that were bred explicitly for that purpose. Large cartons of yogurt followed, both with and without fruit varieties. Now even the second cart was beginning to look rather full, luckily there was still room for the milk itself. Stored in great plastic jugs, Melonia gathered up as much as she could balance safely, loading her twin grocery carts to the brim. Grinning like an idiot the woman began the long winding voyage back towards the front of the store. She balked as she arrived, even with dozens of check out stations the lines were considerable. Her joy turning fast into sulking Melonia could only oblige and take her place in line. She managed to distract herself by reading one of the tabloid magazines on display along a magazine rack. It was most drivel, including some very scathing rumors about the Overseer, all of which Melonia promptly ignored.
Fast growing bored of her predicament, the line seemed to be going backwards it was taking so long. Melonia could only sigh and move her carts forward every other minute or so. Part of her actually regretting buying so much food, it'd take eons to ring up. Midway through her musing on that few subject the line finally reached the woman's place in the queue. Her eyes practically lit up as the cashier motioned for her to begin unloading her carts, and Melonia moved like a whirlwind in response, hastily unloading her grocery carts as fast as she possibly could. The cashier responded by immediately becoming overwhelmed by his task and being forced to call for a second cashier to help. Melonia could only laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.
After what felt like several lifetimes and rebirths the entirety of Melonia's purchase had been scanned, packed away in bags, and was ready to be paid for. The Saiyaness could only grimace at the cost, but it was a small price to pay for food. That, and she was fairly sure she could get recompensation from Jie Shan at some point in the immediate future. He was after all, her commanding officer. Moreover, he paid her, and this food was directly going to restock the pantries at his estate. If not, so be it, Melonia had enough spare currency to indulge in more than one spending spree. The female warrior pulled her charge card from her purse and hastily paid for her purchases, dying a bit as she watched the zeros ring up. With her transaction complete at least there would be no excuse for a lack of food for the foreseeable future. And with that Melonia gathered up her numerous sacks of acquired groceries before departing the grocery store. Once back into the busy Soy Capital streets she immediately sped off for home, eager to put her supplies to work cooking a masterful dinner.
