Jolts of lightning scratched the skies of Paprika Wasteland on a rare moment where the rain actually touched those dry lands. The night was really dark and the moon was all black and covered by the ferocious nimbus that completely dominated the skies of the entire region. And those nimbus were angry, as they punished the land with both pouring rain and lightning bolts. Amidst the rain and lightning, the young saiyan known as Nasu was there, training to get used to his weighted armor. After training for a whole day, passing out and then fighting a dinosaur almost dehydrated, he could say that he was getting rather used to his new handicap, and that was indeed helping him improve at an amazing pace. He grew, on these past couple days, more than he could even dream of in the whole previous year he spent on the Blue Marble, and after polishing his determination, he was ready to cast aside his laziness and spoiled demeanor to become the true warrior that both his blood and heritage carved for.
”With the lightning as my witness, I won’t ever allow anyone to stand in my way!!!” his mind was focused on improving the most he could, the soreness of his body no longer bothered him like it did on the first day. Fighting that dinosaur and winning due to one of the teachings of his father’s Soy School made him realize he had been wasting his time… No, not only his time, but his life! Nasu could accomplish wonders, and yet, he was there, comfortable being just an elite tier warrior, that both the Alliance and the Empire alike had more than enough, even after the war. Being an elite was good, but it wasn’t what he deserved! No! He was the child of legends, and he needed to become a legend himself, he would never settle again for anything less than that.
The rain left him all wet, but he didn’t care, at least it refreshed his body from the heat of the intense training, and the lightning was an amazing training partner: avoiding the bolts of lightning required every ounce of speed he had in his body, and more than once he was almost hit, and another countless times he had been caught off guard during this particular training, that had been going on for hours now. Nasu just kept repeating all attacks he learned with his father, being it punches, elbow strikes, knee shots, kicks and other more complex moves, like the lariat, one of his father’s favorite moves. On top of that, he tried to polish his defensive skills in order to become able to both block more efficiently as well as dodging. Avoiding damage was one of the keys to victory, and that was something he had learned with his mother; Natto was quite reckless on this department and would often throw himself into unnecessary danger in order to gain the upper hand, and more than once it almost cost his life, until his distraction on Vegeta allowed the kagami Emer to finish him with a single blow. Obviously Emer resorted to treacherous ways, otherwise there was no way he could have defeated Natto, and Nasu witness every second of it.
To learn with other’s mistake was something not so easy to accomplish, but absurdly rewarding, and that was what he was trying to do. This training also pushed his patience and calm in battle to its very limit, as every lightning bolt that hit him made him go nuts with the annoying pain and terrible sensation. But once again, blind rage was what got her mother killed. Tomoroko was out of her mind when Natto died and just charged at the kagami with a blind rage on her ascended super saiyan form. Even though she was stronger, she didn’t pay attention to the injuries the treacherous bastard was dealing to her, and her wounds fatally mowed her life. Pure blind rage was a curse, and a curse that haunted the saiyans, with the greater proof of such claim the Great Ape form: most saiyans are completely out of control, into some blind, stupid, primal rage, unable to do anything other than attack. There’s the pack mentality, of course, but that is only accountable when a controlled Great Ape is leading, and even then, they can’t be directed in an specific manner; they will just focus their attack where the pack leader is directing them, but they will still act like stupid beasts.
One of the greatest proofs of a mature saiyan elite is being capable of controlling their great ape form, and Nasu was on the blink of accomplishing that. Anyway, he had plenty to learn, but his parents helped him with a lot of things, and he was a far better fighter than most saiyans that were around his power level, and if he kept on doing his very best, he would soon enough surpass them, and be able to claim what was rightfully his. ”And I will add Planet Vegeta to our estate! I won’t allow our race to be separated anymore… The Empire saiyans will have to choose between bending their knees or execution!” he said to himself, as he just barely dodged a lightning bolt that grazed past the abdominal guard of his weighted battle suit, leaving it slightly scorched. – Too close! – he growled, gritting his teeth in anger, but doing his best to keep it under control, turning it into fuel to his concentration and will to keep on moving forward.
At the same time, Nasu was focused on harnessing his own ki energy and refining it. He had already managed to improve one of his father’s techniques, the Tyrant Lancer, and now he wanted to increase his defensive capabilities, and the best way to do that was to focus on improving the power output of his Explosive Wave. Both his parents dominated all levels of this technique and it proved to be quite a life saver in dire situations, when they were surrounded and attacked from all sides. Nasu stared at the sky and the clouds roared in challenge, announcing that the greatest of all lightning bolts was about to come. The young saiyan warrior chuckled and glared back, accepting the challenge as he began to charge his ghostly-white ki aura, flaring it to its maximum. ”Come! You will rest defeated, little cloud!” he said to himself, chuckling a bit before charging towards the concentration of energy on the cloud.
This action seemed almost like suicide, but he was feeling absolutely confident with his own power. He knew he could do it, and that confidence made him brave. When the lightning was ready, Nasu was almost touching the cloud and had just a split of a second to react; otherwise he would be probably toasted by it. In a blink of an eye, the saiyan seemed to explode with a gigantic yellow-colored energy sphere, that spread all around his body, repealing the lightning and dispersing the cloud with its sheer power. It was much bigger and stronger than the regular Explosive Wave, and that was enough to tear a wide hole on the cloud, revealing the night sky filled with stars, witness to his prowess. Pride filled his heart immediately as he saw evolution being achieved once again. ”I did it again! I’m just as capable as you were, mom and dad! Can you see it now?! Hehehe… Yeah! I will do you folks justice, I will even bring that stupid little brother of mine back to the right side, even if I have to beat the shit out of that conceited ass… But I will do it for you, mother… I know how much you loved that silent annoying bug! And I obviously can’t allow my blood kin to be an Empire’s dog! Just… Keep on watching me!” he said to the night sky, inside his mind, as a proud smile took over his feature.
With that, he was satisfied with this training session, and quickly flew back towards his cavern. After a couple minutes, the cloud regenerated, but the lightning activity reduced, almost as if it had accepted its defeat on the hands of the young saiyan warrior. Once back on his cavern, Nasu quickly dropped his weighted battle suit on the ground. He had enough of that for the day and deserved his rest. And he slept deeply.
