The Look Out & The Monkey: Garrod Meet's Cambia?
''Never before have I seen such a beautiful Family. Athren did well, I have some avenging to do.''
Searching for Athren. Years had passed and it still sounded wrong to him. Garrod The Wayward Star came to believe that had he been in the right mind during that comparatively destructive time, he had no doubt that he wouldn't have made such an extreme move, but it was entirely impossible for him to go back and rewrite history, no matter how badly he yearned for such an opportunity. He broke his vows at the expense of his own pursuit to right what was wrong with him, fearing that Athren's condition would only grow worse with time, and that he would eventually bring harm to both his family and his lineage of the Saiyans.
It was an objective that started with irrevocably noble intentions, but even in the time of explaining the case to his companions via scouter messages, no less his grasp of reality became increasingly thin, and the message came out not as some grim quest to either fix himself, fix Athren or live in exile from the denizens of Planet Earth for the remainder of his days, but rather, an excitable pursuit of knowledge and secrets that have been long forgotten, and that he would return when he was satisfied with what he had acquired. While the message remained on some base level. the same, the true intent of his quest was obscured to the point of carrying a different message entirely to the contrary aa a result of both his joyous cadence and the words he had selected to make use of during his explanation.
Garrod The Wayward Star wasn't sure how his comrades reacted. He had been long gone by the time he had sent the message. He could only assume that at this point that he had been all but disowned by the man, and the rest of Saiyans who followed him an Athren as well. The entire expedition was a gambit, but at the same time, there was little he had attempted that wasn't. He heard rumors throughout the Saiyan Empire before he had left the planet; something that lie in one of the more recently excavated tombs of the planet known as Earth, inside a certain abandoned Temple. Something that gave him hope. It was a mere device that kept the wearer enthralled by the conductor of the ritual involved with donning it. Word had spread that the wearer's prior dispositions and afflictions of the mind were rendered almost entirely null after the time of the ritual, and the only person that came to mind when he thought of who he could rely on to attempt such a thing was his own rival from times passed: Athren himself..Whether things would actually stay that way after the mask had been removed was still a matter for debate, but it was by and large the only source of hope that he had in bringing his brother out, and he was forced to put his faith in this odd alien technique. After careful maneuvering among the giant pillar towards the look out, finding this place after a couple of hours of vivid flight, the bait had been lain, and Garrod the Wayward Star awaited the response from the rest he saw as comrades in the fray.
Still, the Saiyan was emotionally distraught beyond all compare, and it wasn't until he projected a false face one that possessed such an exaggerated sense of pride that it overshadowed many of his more natural (which he believed capable of rendering him especially vulnerable to the manipulations of others) characteristics, to the point that he himself began to believe his supremacy to be irrefutable fact. Garrod the Wayward Star had always possessed a certain sadism in his pride, but this self-deception merely exaggerated that even further (much like his pride and vanity) in his attempts to hide the presumed weakness in his being, directing close to all of his frustration and desperation at any and all who opposed him whenever the opportunities present themselves.
However when Athren was around his every being, he was Athren's rock. He offered wise words when needed, and motivated his brother, just as Athren did to him. Garrod the Wayward Star was very affectionate and caring about his family. His brother especially. At best he wanted to see his face again and hope he was alive. So this rumor as stated was a sense of hope. Taking his time he soon reached the edges of the look out tower. No paying mind to his power level, it rose to signal he was here and actively searching for someone or something. Garrod the Wayward Star had been searching for his elder sibling. So he took in a deep breath and began to call out.
''OLDER BROTHER ATHREN, ARE YOU HERE? WHERE ARE YOU? COME ON ATHREN, IT'S BEEN YEARS WE HAVE CATCHING UP TO DO!''
