That's all that could be heard in the smallish laboratory/living chambers that was provided for Izuka. It was pitch black in the laboratory aside from the light of the screen that Izuka was staring at while typing. The saiyan had dark rings under his eyes as he typed up a report about his Blitz Glasses and how they worked. Of course he would never be able to use them, due to him having removed his tail the day before.
It was worth it however, Izuka didn't want to accidentally look at the full moon without the glasses on and lose control of himself. He may have been weak, to the standards of his father and almost everyone he knew, but it did not matter to the hybrid. He had his work, research and other things to occupy his time. 'I don't need to fight in order to get my kicks,' he thought to himself. It was very clear that he needed to do some more field work.
After filing the report away with instructions of how to make them with Capsule Corps' main databanks in order to have it checked over by his supervisor. He closed out of the program, before starting to surf the internet to see if he could find anything interesting to research now. After several hours, Izuka found something that was interesting.
There were rumors about a mysterious sky high totem pole in the middle of one of the forests among the eastern islands. 'Mmm…. That could be interesting, and I haven't done any field work aside from the Blitz Glasses since I got my own lab,' Izuka thought. Reading about the rumors, he decided he could at the very least find out things about the totem pole, study what it was made out of, and see if there were a top to the totem.
Standing up for the first time in hours, Izuka went off to pack before filing a report to his supervisor about some field research he was going to be doing somewhere in the eastern islands. Yawning, Izuka stretched. 'Maybe I should sleep before heading out,' he thought before continuing, 'nah, I should be fine as long as I get there within the next few hours.'
And so, Izuka left his laboratory and locked it. Looking at the skies above he didn't see anyone or anything flying around in the skies over the city's airspace. Shouldering his bag, Izuka took off through the clear blue skies above. He had a pale green aura of power surrounding him as he flew using as much power as he could in order to get to the region where the totem was located at.
A few days later, after stumbling through the islands and getting lost more than once, Izuka landed at the base of the totem pole. Placing a hand on the smooth carved surface his eyes widened. 'So smooth, and it feels like some sort of sandstone,' he thought while looking at it. He wondered what was at the top. Rumors had it, in order to get training at the top one had to simply climb the tower.
Shrugging, Izuka jumped as high as he could before sprinting up the tower heading to the top. He wasn't sure what was at the top, but rules were rules and he didn't want to get in trouble for breaking them, even if he didn't want to undergo training when he got to the top. 'Might as well do it, and measure the distance as well as investigating what's at the top,' Izuka thought.
After a few hours, Izuka could see the top of the tower. Surprisingly there was a platform at the top of the totem. 'How in the hell is this thing so sturdy, when it's so tall and thin, and not topple over due to the platform on top,' he cursed in his mind as he neared the platform on the top of the tower.
Climbing the stairs, Izuka found a set of living chambers on the platform. 'Strange, it seemed like someone lives up this high,' he thought while looking around the room he was in.

-Power level: 4,794- HEAVY WEIGHTS ON: New PL: 1,199
She was already well on her way towards the target, her main goal. The biggest job of her entire career. She was flying at almost blinding speeds towards this "Kami's lookout" thing. And within time, she made both to the Eastern islands, and above a forest that looked pretty similar to the description she had been given. It was too close a match not to be the right place, in fact she was sure of it as soon as she spotted that odd tribal village that had been mentioned. She stopped practically on a dime, looking around at the village below.
"This is the correct area alright. But...It's a bit cloudy. All I see is this dumb tall pole!" She shrugged and started examining the tower. It was kinda weird, but it still warranted her photo-curiosity. She quickly unbagged her camera, and within moments had it readied and started taking a few photographs as she circled the tower. She was slowly ascending up to it's peak as she took photos. Finally she reached what looked like it's top...And took a few more photos for good measure. "Phew! Lookit this thing. It's not that "Kami's lookout" place, but it's definitely news worthy. The people deserve this information!"
..Though she put her camera away and was calling into question one important detail into question. "...That lying metal jerkoff!!" This was undoubtedly the so called "Tower below the lookout", but there's no lookout here! In fact, even when she went up above the clouds, there still wasn't a lot up there! That guy gave her false info?! That had to be the case! It was...Pretty frustrating to Raina, to say the least. She throws up her arms as she hovers next to the top of the tower. "They said it was up there, it's not. They said "Oh it exists up in the sky! Nurnurnurnur!!" But look at that! Nothing! So then..."
"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, KAMI'S LOOKOOOUUUUUTT!!!!" Her voice echoed out into the horizon until it vanished, and she gave a huff. Well, she figured if she couldn't find the lookout, she may as well check out the tower. She floats down to it's deck and lands lightly, stepping into the interior. She was a little surprised to see the interior furnished, and had once again started taking pictures. Though soon she noticed a guy standing there looking about as well. Her first assumption was one she called forth. "Oh. Someone lives up here? Well, hey there! I'm a reporter for one of the hercule city newspapers, would you care answering a few questions about your humble abode? It'll only take a minute, I promise!" She takes a photo of him and puts the camera away, soon pulling out a pencil and paper from the same bag, poised to write down anything! Plus, if he's a resident, maybe he knows where it is! ... That's what she thought, at least. She'd probably be disappointed to find he was a visitor just like she was.
Chris had finally after what had been quite a long time, well he had finally decided to take a break for once. As strange as it was he had finally decided to..after his training had been finished with his Master..and that corrupted half of hers. He still had trouble with the fact of how much they treated him like a child once more. The fifteen year old once saiyan was still recovering from everything that had happened lately. All of it ranging from the very aspect of coming back from the dead, nearly dying again from a rare heart virus, losing his access to ki from a threateningly dangerous injury, and then finally becoming this..thing. He still didn’t know what to call it even. What he had became was something even now he still had not a clue of what. Whatever he was, he wasn’t just a saiyan anymore.
He had hoped maybe he could visit his good friend Galen, upon sensing for their ki there though, he was disappointed to say that he couldn’t feel him down at the tower. That still didn’t stop from something else, he could feel two smaller ki sources. One felt like Bern, a demon, and the other..it felt like another saiyan, but yet human as well. It might be his day to take a break off of training, but he still wanted to go check it out, reaching towards the pavilion of the lookout he jumped right off into a dive. He could feel the wind brushing on his face as he dove downward. It had taken quite a bit but he had finally reached the view of the tower.
Launching himself into a spiral he came back to face the right way up and began to float right over towards the lookout. It was strange being back here again. He remembered the race both he and Gouken had here to see who could climb to the top of the tower first. That had been back so long ago, back when his power had been what he had thought was average. Wow had he learned a lot in nearly a year..Huh that meant his sixteenth birthday would be coming up soon..it also would be the first one without any real family..huh..that..was a bit depressing.
Slowly as he landed silently with his feet. He stared right at the two strangers..and began to speak. ”So what are you two doing up here? You guys are kinda in my friend’s home? I really your not here to try and take something..” Chris would warn a bit as he looked towards the both of them. He didn’t know just who either of them were. But he knew better than to leave his guard down. Even if they didn’t risk harming him. This was his friend Galen’s home after all, and he couldn’t let any of the secrets that were meant to be kept safe out, like the holy water or the fact of a giant lookout hidden over the tower supported by magic. That was when he spotted the camera one of them was holding. Oh god reporters...he could not spill any secrets. That was for sure.
Izuka wandered the entirety of the platform before coming back to the singular large room. There was nothing of interest to him on the platform, aside from food and water which made him think that his hypothesis of this platform being some sort of rest area before continuing the person's journey to the top being true. Izuka briefly wondered if there were no one up there to train anyone that actually reached the top.
Just when he was about to explore the top of the platform to see if there were anything above it, someone landed in the singular room area. Having turned around a flash exploded in his face. It was the flash of a camera, after a couple questions and an explanation of who the person was. Izuka stared at her impassively before saying, "I do not live here. I am here to research and explore this tower. Please do not put my image into your newspaper."
With that said, Izuka hopped onto one of the railings of the platform. It seemed as though he was about to jump up to explore the top when another person arrived into the room. It seemed as though this man knew what the tower was and the secret behind it, particularly due to him saying this was his friend's home. His hypothesis of this being a rest area was wrong, but there could still be something above this part of the tower.
"I apologize, I did not know this was your friend's home. I will leave after I ask you a few questions," Izuka said to the newcomer, however he never said he was not going to explore the top of the tower nor the airspace above it. "My first question for you is, how is this tower standing?"
Izuka studied the man in front of him, wondering if he would answer his questions allowing him to leave and maybe allow the scientist to search the area around the tower for even more answers and the airspace above it. Izuka had a feeling that there was a lot more about this area than meets the eye, and sometimes scientists just had to go with their feelings.

Once he mentioned not being the owner, and not wanting his picture publish, Raina shrugged. "Won't need it for my story anyway, you're in the clear." She's stopped any further by a kid landing down into the room. he seemed pretty annoyed at their trespassing. Of course...Trespassing was a risk Raina was used to taking. He also mentioned a fear of burglarization, she was quick to respond to that. "A thief usually doesn't take pictures of his crimes!" She spoke in a calm non-hostile tone, grinning to him. She noticed the scientist fellow asking questions, now that was more on her line of thinking! She had a few of her own.
"I'm here for questions too! I guess I had better wait in line, though maybe you've got a few answers about a "Kami's Lookout"? You've got a lot of prying eyes looking for that thing, and my goals are lining up towards finding it. The people demand to know their saviors!" She waved her notebook around a bit, tapping the pencil to her chin. "If you're in with them, do you have any idea how famous my story could make you? Besides, all those other reporters are just going to shroud facts in sensationalism. I report the hard facts!!"
She seemed pretty honest about all that she was saying. People WERE starting to wise up to the several threats on Earth, and someone was keeping them safe. It wasn't unreasonable to assume people would want to know who was behind it all, or better yet, what threats could be coming their way. Right now the people only had word of mouth to go on, and none of it was clear whether it was fact or not. While Raina appreciated myths and legends, she wanted to give people the facts.
Still, her curious eyes watched the boy, waiting in the hopes he would answer her questions as well as the questions of this scientist. Her cause was just! Even if it was a little self-serving on top of the other people it would help. her offer was pretty generous and rather easily backed up. Once true fact started getting out, the people living up there likely would end up fairly famous on Earth. As far as she was concerned, fame was only worth it if it was earned - And these people were pretty likely to have earned the fame they would get from this.
Though her eyes drifted around the room now, curious of just why someone lived up here, and who this tower owner was. "Place could use a few decorations" was what she thought, still grinning to herself. Though, drawing back to the boy, what was with him? His power was pretty high up. He had a tail though...Saiyan? She'd heard of them, but never met one in person. "...Say, are you one of those saiyans? That in itself could make for a good story...Maybe quell fears over that race. You don't seem like a killer of worlds like those city boys screamed about."

Chris still kept his eyes peeled on both of the intruders. Even though they didn’t feel like a threat, there was still that chance. After a very short period of silence he was quickly given an answer by the both of them of not wanting to take anything. Though when the girl ade a joke he was quick to grin while also saying something. ”I don’t know fully about that, you would be surprised how many people do take pictures of their crimes for a trophy of some kind.” Chris would say with quite a bit of a small chuckle. Okay maybe the reporter wasn’t so bad, but the other guy in a lab coat was asking quite a few questions.
”Well to answer your question there, the rumor goes that this tower is actually a tree that grows larger every ten years. The Karinga Tribe lays special stone plates into this tree forming the support it has today, it's mainly a mixture of magic known only to the tribe members and tower keeper combined with this special stone.” Chris would answer within his own knowledge before turning back towards the reporter. She was beginning to ask quite a few questions. He supposed he could answer a few of them, but he was just going to have to keep it as simple as he could.
”They exist, the place does exist. However fame isn’t what they desire. They are guardians and not showmans. If they wanted fame they easily would have showed it to anyone, but right now. Now wouldn’t be the best time. They will only show themselves to those who are truly devoted to helping defend the Earth. Take it this way, if you aren’t truly worthy, you will never see the true lookout.” Chris would say truthfully as he avoided giving the location of the lookout. He obviously wasn’t going to budge very easily on it location. He was thankful that it was so high up, invisible to the naked eye even from the top of the tower. He remembered that when both he and Gouken had climbed it before. Gouken..where had his friend gone?
That was when he listened to her as she made mention of him being a saiyan..he immediately was brought back to the thought of when that all had begun. Of his first Super Saiyan transformation..back when he used to be a saiyan, three fourths at least. ”I used to be a saiyan yes..then I became, no..ascended into something else. In short terms, I am no longer fully a saiyan, one fourth of one if I had to say. I couldn’t speak fully though, still one fourth Human, was raised as a human my entire life...in the south there is an Outpost, if you go there you can find what true saiyans are. Just if you do go there..be careful, don’t raise any weapons...It's an embassy..sorta.” Chris would begin to say concealing the full details. He didn’t want to reveal that he was actually one of those defenders of Earth or the fact of the lookout just being so far above them it was invisible from the bottom.
