On the middle of the platform overlooking the Earth that was the Timeless Lookout AKA the home of the Kami, AKA Earth's Guardians residence, there was a sudden burst of light that slowly began to coalesce into two distinct humanoid forms. As the light faded away, anyone that was there would be able to discern a male with large pointed ears, and a short haired female. Both of whom were wearing the same ear-ring on the same ear as one another. Mar blinked before holding his head as a massive headache came over him. "Urgh! Oh bloody..." he grumbled as he let go of Tomoroko and instead gripped his head.
"That's gonna take some practice..." the Supreme Kai of the Eastern Galaxy muttered before he looked over to his companion and guardian. "How're you feeling? You alright? Sorry about the trip... first time I've ever had a passenger before." he explained before looking around. "Well, at least we seem to be in the right place at least... I think." he said, scratching his head in slight confusion. "Hellooo?" he called out. "Anyone here? Kami? Anyone? Hello?" the Eastern Kaioshin declared, rubbing the back of his head now that the effects of the teleportation were wearing off... for him at least. "Huh... would've thought the sudden presence of a Kai would make someone come running..." he mused, chuckling a little.
The tribesmen living at the base of the impossibly long spire known as Korin's Tower were a gentle people, yet do to the tribes tradition of attempting to scale the side of the tower the peaceful people possessed a power level greater than the average of human population. After working on expanding his ability to sense KI, Piyano had sensed the small tribe from the Cold North and had swiftly traveled south east until the impressive tower had risen into his view. The alien's curiosity pulled at him hard to fly to the top of the tower, but Piyano had traveled all this way to inspect the tribe he sensed at the towers base, besides it seemed unlikely that the tower was going anywhere. Landing at the base of Korin's tower Piyano had spent a full three days with the prideful, yet respectable families that comprised the tribe.
The humans filled Piyano in on many legends about the grand spire that they 'protected' from harm. It was said that the tower keeper lived midway up the mighty structure, and that beyond them lived the great Kami; god and protector of the planet. The humans spoke with such reverence that Piyano was inclined to believe them, even though none of the current tribe had so much as climbed a quarter of the tower. The next legend Piyano learned was that those who successfully scaled the tower were offered the chance of training with the tower keeper, a truly grand honor for the warriors of Earth. Too repay the kindness and stories of the tribe Piyano gave them tales of his home planet and it's grand protector, the Guru. Sadly the current Guru of Namek was very old, and soon would likely die. Even knowing this however Piyano spoke with the greatest of respect and admiration of his peoples leader.
After three days of merriment with the tribe Piyano was preparing to take his leave from the villagers until he sensed two large power levels suddenly appear far above him. Despite the stories told of Kami and the tower keeper the Namekian had sensed nothing until this point, as if the tower had been empty. With the sudden appearance of such energies Piyano could only assume trouble was brewing far over head. Saying a quick goodbye to the people of the tower's base Piyano soared fast into the air, even flying it took many minutes for Piyano reach the top of Korin's Tower. Interestingly Piyano continued to sense the two energies from much higher up, so the Namekian bypassed the oval top fort and sped even higher into the air.
It took nearly another five minutes for Piyano to see a structure growing out of the distance. Swiftly approaching the magical flying building Piyano could see just how massive the place was, and being so high up it must lookout over nearly all of Earth. After finally passing over the lip of the strange place Piyano's senses instantly zero'd in on the two power levels. Landing on the tiled walkway of the beautiful place Piyano at first saw a Saiyan standing in the middle of the place. Confused Piyano moved to speak with the woman until a much shorter being came into his view. Piyano had never before seen a Kai, but his people told stories of the holy beings descriptive enough for him to recognize one. Suddenly realizing he was very out of his depths Piyano dropped to his knees and pressed his forehead to the tiles of the lookout. "I have clearly intruded here. I offer my apologies great Kaio-Shin." Piyano said from his bowed position, hoping that his trespassing would be forgiven.
OOC: Sorry for the delay. Had a ridiculously busy week
Tomoroko had been in the middle of watching the events currently unfolding on Planet Natto from the security footage her mother had managed to set up when she felt a familiar spiritual tug. Within an instant, Tomo vanished from her location within the ruins of the Saiyan outpost, and re-appeared instead on the lookout! It took her a few minutes to gather her bearings, still not used to being KaiKai'ed away at a moments notice like that. Why was she here exactly? Unless...
"Rumia this isn't funny..." The saiyaness grumbled under her breath until the true culprit finally appeared. There was Mar, appearing next to her a second after she appeared and apologizing for the rough ride. Well, it had definitely been a bumpy one, and it had turned her stomach though she had been able to not throw up that time.
"I'm fine... why did you bring us to the lookout? I was in the middle of monitoring the situation on planet Natto..." The sounded unhappy, worried even but by no means disrespectful. Had it been anyone else, she might have snapped on them for intruding... she was very upset that she couldn't be by her son's side, protecting the people she had helped bring together in the Alliance...
Then the Namekian showed up, and Tomoroko immediately tensed up, her eyes darting to the stranger dangerously but she stopped herself from acting, as she really didn't know everyone that was supposed to be up here... when he bowed she couldn't help but smirk as she looked back to Mar.
"It's got to be the ears." She teased him, crossing her arms as she looked down at the Namekian in sudden amusement, though would let Mar deal with him.
Mar blinked when Tomoroko explained that she'd been on Natto... apparently for a while. "Eh? How... but we just..." he said before blinking again, proceeding to immediately slam his palm into his face and groan. "Urgh... I really need to practice with group teleports." the Supreme Kai of the East grumbled. "From my perspective, we'd just left my world... I thought it was weird that there was such a time differential." he said with a sigh before spotting the bowing Namekian.
He then peered around for a second, checking the colour of the sky and the distant ground to make sure they were on the right planet first of all, rubbing the back of his head as he concluded that they were in fact on Earth. "Err... Tomo, what Age is it right now? Cus I could have sworn the Kami on Earth was a Saiyan, not a Namekian?" he asked before growing very worried. "Pleeease don't tell me I've accidentally transported us BACK through time!" he pleaded, looking towards Tomoroko. "Oh sweet merciful creation... if we've gone back in time, Beerus is going to have my head on a plate!" exclaimed the Eastern Kaioshin rather despairingly, looking genuinely scared.
Bowing with his forehead to the ground Piyano made no movements as the woman beside the Kiao-shin, or the man Piyano believed to be a Kiao-shin anyway, turned his way and made a comment about ears. With his antenna pressed against stone tile Piyano could not witness the woman's grin, or see much of anything honestly. Curiosity loomed at the edge of his thoughts, gnawing upon his nerves to simply look up and glance at one of the legendary Kai's. Instead however Piyano fought his instincts and continued to bow, the Namekian knew very little about the Kai's or any proper manner on how to act in one's presence. Something that had been conveyed to the man at a young age was that the Kais were of great importance to all the universe, and that they should be treated with the up most respect.
It was than that the Kai spoke, seemingly quite frustrated and worried about teleportation, Namekians not being Saiyans, and time travel. Piyano didn't understand it all, or likely even a fraction of the man and woman's worries but Piyano did know at least one thing that he hoped would calm the situation down. "I doubt you have traveled in time great Kiao-shin, the age is 1586. I humbly hope this year gives you bearings on when you wish to be." Piyano said, praying he had not over stepped his bounds by speaking. The genuine sounding dread in the Kai's voice at time traveling however had prompted the Namekian to speak.
Tomoroko couldn't help but break out into laughter! Something she hadn't done in quite a long time! Truly she had been miserable since Natto's spirit had been removed from existence. It felt so strange to be laughing again! She almost felt guilty for doing so, but the situation they were in now just amused her way too much.
"To clarify, When I got to Earth I was in the hyperbolic time chamber for a short while before it spit me out. That might have had an effect on why we didn't appear here together. Time runs differently here remember?" She asked of the Kai as if that basic knowledge had passed him. Although who this Beerus fellow he feared so much was still a mystery to her. She would be sure to ask him about Beerus later whenever they were back on the planet of the Kai's. Whenever Piyano spoke and clarified the year for them, even Tomoroko was taken a back. Had it truly been so many years since she was dead? It felt like she'd only been in the after-life a few years, let alone an entire decade. She let a sigh escape her lips as she calmed down from her laughing fit, walking over to the Namekian and lightly placing her hand on his shoulder.
"The ground can't taste very good, why don't you stand up? Maybe you can help us figure a few things out." She offered Piyano in a kind tone, strange since it was coming from a saiyan... though those that knew her in life knew that Tomoroko had been one of the kinder saiyans around, at least when it came to the Alliance and Empire.
It felt good to hear Tomoroko laugh... even if it was quite probably at his expense. She'd been so down on herself last he'd seen her about her mate's existence ending... ah well, whatever got her in a good mood worked for him. Even if he was technically her boss. He rubbed the back of his head though at her explanation for why the two of them had suffered such a dissonance in temporal placement before simply shrugging it off as one of the weird and wonderful things about Earth. "Well, so long as the thing was able to work for you, that proves the theory was accurate at least." he said with a chuckle.
Of course, speaking of things on Earth, the fact that the Namekian had recognised him as a Kaioshin was something that bore investigation... after he'd stopped kissing the floor that is. "Oh do get up please." he said, figuring that if Tomo couldn't get the man to his feet, then the request of a god should do the trick. What concerned him though was the fact that the Kami of Earth wasn't here as far as he could sense. Had Atsuko been defeated by something, or was she somewhere else right now? If it was the latter, then where?
The Eastern Kaioshin doubted that the Namekian here could give him the answers he sought for in regards to the Kami... but there was still that other matter to attend to. "So... how exactly could you tell what I was, and what brings you up here in any case?" he asked of the Namekian. Mar'd never really paid much attention to the Namekians, since they were in what the Kais considered to be the South whilst his domain was the East... aside from the obvious factor that was the Dragon Balls. Everybody paid attention to those particular items.
The divine Kaio-shin and his companion did indeed seem worried about something, yet luck was with Piyano as he did not seem to be a factor into the two's distress. Suddenly the Saiyan burst out into laughter, whether it was at himself or the Kai Piyano simply could not tell. Her voice didn't sound as the Namekian would have expected however, it was sweet and soft, a sound filled with genuine mirth at a situation. Piyano was more used to hearing Saiyans laugh only after the conclusion of a fight or the distress of another. It was good to hear a Saiyan display a different outlook on life.
Still locked in his bow Piyano listened as the pair discussed something called a hyperbolic time chamber, Piyano had no Kami given idea what such a thing was. Deciding it must be a object or realm of the gods Piyano pushed it from his mind, knowing it to be far outside of his own realm of understanding. A hand met his shoulder than, and the Saiyan's voice offered him a chance to stand. She spoke kindly, and her words were enough to make Piyano lift his head from the tiles. The great Kai soon after also encouraged Piyano to stand and with both beings support Piyano rose to his feet.
"Thank you. Both of you." Piyano said brushing his pants clean of dust, in truth he was just going through the motions as the lookout was immaculately clean and no actual dust marred his clothes. "I would be happy to assist in any manner that I can." Piyano said to the Saiyan before the Kai asked him a question. "Upon my home world I was raised a scribe for a sect of clergymen. I once read a story some eight hundred years old that spoke of a race known as Kai." Piyano replied trying not to stare awkwardly at the divine man. "Truthfully I never knew the tale to be real, however the descriptions of clothing, hair, and.... well, ears... Its a very matching description." Piyano said with only a minor amount of stuttering. "I was down with the village that lives at the base of Korin's Tower, when suddenly I sensed you both appear. Curiousity sort of got the better of my judgement."
Tomoroko stood up to her feet once more as Piyano did, simply nodding her head as a response to Piyano's gratitude. In truth it just felt awkward to have someone bowing like that... even if it wasn't to her it was just weird, and reminded her of a time she long wished to forget. She stood back now and looked over at Mar, a mischevious grin crossing her face as Piyano cleared up how he knew of the Kai's.
"See, I told you. Ears." She teased, having way too much fun for the situation for her own good. Of course Mar had to expect she would be a pain to deal with at some point being a saiyan and what not. That was when Piyano clarified why he was here, and Tomoroko simply nodded once more, this time turning to face the Namekian instead.
"Well it's strange that you're the only one here to be honest... I don't suppose you would happen to know what's happened to the Kami? I haven't been able to sense her energy in quite some time, and now that we're here it's obvious she'd missing." This time Tomoroko sounded a little bit more concerned, her gaze shifting towards the palace of the lookout. She wanted to start searching door by door to find Atsuko, no matter how futile she knew that would be.
"Har har." said the Supreme Kai of the East when Tomo teased about her suspicions being correct regarding his ears. He was rather fond of his ears... Anyway though, it seemed that this world still had records from when the Supreme Kai that had held his post before him had come to Earth, during the Majin Buu incident, and this Namekian lived in the village below the Lookout. He simply nodded, as this all sort of made sense.
Then Tomoroko asked the question about where the Kami could actually be. Mar closed his eyes to get a better look at the planet, frowning somewhat before shrugging. "Maybe she's having some down-time and is suppressing her power... your daughter has been through rather a lot in a short space of time." the Eastern Kaioshin remarked, silently wondering just how well the Namekian would react to the news that he was standing in front of the Kami's very own mother... well, payback is payback after all, and two can play at the Saiyan's game~
The Saiyan woman teased the Kai in a manner that hinted at extreme familiarity, whoever this woman was she clear must be important in her own right. The pair of strangers both seemed very concerned with the absence of Earth's Kami however, something Piyano could not rightly help them with. The Namekian had not seen or heard anything about the legendary Kami since his arrival upon the planet and to insist or suggest otherwise would simply be a lie.
The woman, Piyano had yet to learn the pairs names, asked him directly than if Piyano knew anything about the missing Kami. Piyano could only shake his head in sorrow. "I am sorry, but I do not know where Kami has gone too." Piyano replied truthfully, in his mind even a crushing honesty was better than a comforting lie. The Kai offered a suggestion than, that Kami may be taking some time off and hiding her power as she explored the lands below. Though such a thing was certainly possible Piyano became more wrapped up in something else the Kai had said.
"You are the mother of god?! If I was a Earthling that would raise so many questions." Piyano said sounding quite surprised. This Saiyan woman barely seemed any older than himself, which by human comparison meant she was still quite young in her life cycle. Continuing to fall further into a place of confusion about this strange duo Piyano figured he would just have to roll with the punches so too speak. "In either case... may I ask what brings you both here? I am no Kami, but something tells me your presence must be for a important cause."
"Yeah I suppose she has... mind you no matter what happened she wasn't going to have an easy go... not like the boys have it any better" Tomoroko said with a sigh as Mar suggested Atsuko might just be taking a vacation and suppressing herself. She couldn't blame her daughter if that was the case... the life she had been pushed into wasn't easy, and Tomo found it very comparable to her own life as Sub Overseer of the Alliance back in the day.
Her eyes shifted towards Piyano as he spoke, smiling and even chuckling as he made reference to one of the Earthlings religions, one she had heard of during her short stay on Earth. She supposed if you actually considered Kami a god, then that could be very misleading yes.
"She isn't an actual god by any means. Kami is simply a title for the one who dedicates their like to protecting this planet. I just so happen to be her mother, nothing overly mystical about it I assure you." She explained kindly, then pointed up to her halo whenever Piyano seemed to analyze her appearance, no doubt wondering how she would have a child old enough to guard an entire planet.
"I've been dead over a decade, you don't age much in the after-life.... thankfully." she stated this time chuckling as she had to actually think and count as to how old she actually was, quickly making a face whenever she came to a conclusion in regards to her age.
"Your boys didn't make it any easier for her... well, more so the eldest than your youngest." Mar said with a slight smirk towards Tomoroko's remark about how Atsuko'd handled being the Kami thus far. All things considered though, she had done a pretty decent job as Guardian of Earth... even with the family drama that had come from her being raised on Earth.
He did pout a little though when the Saiyan took the whole mother of god part in her stride. The Eastern Kaioshin had been hoping for something a bit more in the rosy cheek department than this. But of course, the Namekian had to ask why they were here in the first place.
The Supreme Kai of the East hiked a thumb over towards Tomoroko. "Well, we had come in order to help Tomoroko here get stronger, as well as maybe have a bit of a family sit-down. Knock some sense into the thick skulls of her eldest children... who are honestly as bad as each other when it comes to the whole "Saiyan Pride" thing of theirs." the pointy eared humanoid explained to the Namekian.
"I wasn't sure if we could use the special features of this place in order to do so or not... but it seems that trying to do so caused a temporal distortion, hence why I've arrived later than she did, despite us both having left my world at the same time." said Mar as he rubbed the back of his neck a little.
"Yeah well... That would be Saiyan siblings for you. I was hoping to raise them better then that but I guess Nasu feels he'll just do whatever feels right to him. I'll have a talk with him but there's not much I can do beyond look disappointed now." Tomoroko admitted to Mar's comment about her son. She really was disappointed in him, hoping that he would turn out to be better than the average Empire Saiyan but it turned out he was following that path to a T and there was nothing she could do about it. Still, he was still her son and as much as she condemned him for it, she still loved him.
"Anyways, it looks like the time chamber will be off limits until Kimiko comes back. I think just training myself here on Earth will help to be honest, it'll exhaust my energy but if I can push past that then I should be able to regain all the power I've lost before. What do you think? It'll give me a better idea of whats going on with the boys and Jarvis too." She suggested to the Supreme Kai. There really was nothing else to do at this point but move forward if her daughter wasn't around to help them.
