Just to the west of North City lay a small field of frozen snow, undisturbed by the passage of humans, zoanthropes, and other sentient species since the small snowy field lead to no where. The place was just a field of empty nature, but today a visitor stood in the middle of this field. The solitude and beauty of the place was not lost on this stranger as he breathed in the frost air. A rabbit played at the edge of the snow, where empty field met the tree line of a mighty forest. Birds could be heard chirping from the trees and pin needles shook from branches to flutter gently to the ground as woodland creatures chased each other in the brush. This visitor observed it all as he calmly soaked in his last sights and sounds of planet Earth. Exactly a year ago today this stranger had traveled to this grand blue planet, he had been sent to learn of new people and places, sent to grow his mind and his power. The visitor had done all these things and more in his time on Earth, and surprisingly the man knew he had come to love this world, almost as much as he loved his home planet.
All the love of snow and nature and even human beings however could not keep this visitor on Earth any longer however. A green hand lifted from the visitors side to a large mound of piled snow, with a simple brush of his palm the green alien wiped free the build up frost until a old space pod became visible to the rays of the sun once again. This stranger began the task of meticulously clearing and cleaning his pod, not because he truly had to, but because he wished to savor the Earth in all its beauty one last time. As much as the green alien's love for Earth was it remained as nothing more than a mere spec of dust in the winds of time when compared to the Namekian's love for his home world however, and after a year on this strange yet charming blue world... the visitor knew it was time to return home. Snow flopped down beside the pod as the Namekian brushed and cleaned, his small movements drawing the attention of the various forest critters that surrounded him. Instead of fleeing from this stranger to their home however the small animals observed him carefully. As if they were to bare witness to this green beings departure.
As he cleaned memories flooded the Namek's mind, flashes of friends such as Android 99, Karen, Tony, Katie, the queen Rinako and even the odd Kal-Hazari. With these memories of great friends so to came memories of great adversity to the Namekian. Battling undead creature onto great mountains, investigating stolen technology, thwarting bank heists, and surviving Wuxjing assassins. Earth had truly change Piyano, and not simply in his power level. The Namekian visitor had found a sense of the good in people here, as well as experienced the pain that those with evil bring. Planet Namek was a land safe from most threats, and after his time on Earth Piyano knew what he needed to do in life. He finally felt his true calling, and so his pilgrimage to Earth was at its end.
His space pod already more than clear enough for launch the Namekian depressed the hidden button near the door to open his pod. Metal creaked as the old machine yawned forth its maw to enable entry to its pilot seat. The aged ship would become defunct after this final use Piyano knew and he took it as a sign that his path was too important to allow for turning back. Taking a final look around him at the serenity of this lonely field of snow, Piyano smiled when he noticed the rabbit watching him. It's head tilt in confusion as the Namek waved goodbye to the furry creature. "Goodbye Earth, you will stay with me in my memories. Your people will always have a friend in me." Piyano said aloud to no one in particular, after all; there was no one around to hear him.
Taking a seat inside his old space pod Piyano flipped a few switches and allowed the machine to power up. Screens and displays softly lit to life and mapped out coordinates for his return trip home. The Namekian absently punched buttons and twisted a few dials to lock in his course, his attention more turned inward than too the ship itself. The Namek knew he would face a great struggle on his home world, change was not often taken kindly even by his own people. Piyano knew in his heart that his goals were rightful and true however and he would not shy away from his task. Thrusters flared to life in the snowy field, their sudden noise scaring the forest creatures to turn away and retreat deeper into the tree line. The pod sped into the skies than, its spherical body quickly zooming heavenward until it broke through the planets atmosphere into space. Piyano settled back to rest than, soon enough he would be home and his true trials of faith would begin.
End.
