This wasn't what she had been expecting.
About a week had gone by since coming back to West City, and having her new Majin servant settle into the mansion, which they had browsed for together. On day 1 of living there, she had set up the security and gravity machine, explaining to the other girl her duties in guarding the mansion from intruders.
After a crude, but dismissive agreement, the Majin had gone upstairs with her things. Since then, the only time she had really seen the pink-fleshed girl, was when she had gone to the kitchen, or was using the gravity room. The words that were exchanged between them, had been quick and far from meaningful.
Had it not been for her own studies, and making up for what she had missed, a lot more would have been done about it. When she had gone and convinced the girl to live with her in this mansion in the first place, she had envisioned not only having a sparring partner, but someone to talk to beyond her family.
Sure, the girl and any future servants, were just beings she saw as help, but it wasn't odd to talk to such resources. Communication was the key into running anything with more than one person involved, and that was what they were lacking right now. But that was going to go and change starting today.
Her studies were finished, and it was approaching the weekend. Although the day had already turned to afternoon, there were still hours left to use, and she already had an idea in mind on how to get the girl to properly talk to her. Something which she had been thinking about the past week, and was so simple.
Leaving her room in the mansion, which was larger than she could have ever imagined, she made her way down the hall, and towards the Majin's room. The idea she had in mind was giving the other girl, the proper fight that she should have gotten. When they had met, and she had gone up against ki attacks for the first time, all she had done was really toy with the girl. Though for well good reason, beyond wanting to study her approach to attacking people.
Those energy based attacks, were something that was tricky to go up against, especially if they were as relentless as when the Majin fired them. She would have to muster so much speed and exertion to push through such attacks, since she didn't have any of her own. Wasn't going to be anytime soon either.
But this was apart of growing in strength, and facing the unfamiliar. The more she was also pushed into running faster, especially under this heavy gravity, her speed would only go on and improve with time. Trying to be the fastest one on this planet, would be a start into making her kin recognized as threats.
As usual when she had stopped on by her servant's room, the TV was on. When the girl was waiting for the gravity room, the Majin could usually be found training in her room as a warm up. Though on times of peace like this, it seemed that she was more interested in human stuff, though didn't really hesitate in stopping what she was doing. It was normal however, and only continued to support her belief that the girl's people were actually human after all.
Everyone else that looked like they could be from space however, she mostly saw and would treat as creatures, until proven otherwise. The door to the girl's bedroom was opened after a knock, where she found the girl lying on her stomach, tapping away at a phone, and likely having given occasional glances to the TV. Or at least, she had been, before the door had been opened. Red eyes had looked back at her hazel ones, a frown plastered on the girl's face.
"What?"
It was amazing how despite the colorful language that she knew the girl to have, she still seemed willing to give people the time of day. That annoyed tone though, hardened by the girl's own fears and angst, still remained the same as well. She really expected more maturity from someone a year older than her.
"What do you think?"
While she could have just outright asserted herself, and go onto explain her reason for interrupting, it was better to have the girl think for herself what the problem was. She might have been questioned, as if the Majin wasn't aware of the problem, but she knew the girl had to at least have an idea.
Her servant was capable of feeling and reasoning, which was what set the girl apart from those she had treated as creatures. Beings who she wouldn't hesitate in striking down, because they relied mostly on instinct, rather than communication and thought. All things that set them apart from what they ate.
"If you're not going to tell me, you need to quit wasting my time."
Though the girl hadn't hesitated in responding, the tinge of red in her cheeks, and the quick look back to her phone, had indicated that she was right about the girl. Were they really going to have to keep fighting like this, for her to get a proper answer from the girl? Whatever was on her mind, it wasn't exactly like she was talking about. What the girl thought of was more normal than embarrassing, even though the girl made it seem like it was so much effort.
"You're not agreeing completely to our terms."
"Bullshit. All I have to do is watch the place and beat up any dumbasses trying to sneak in."
There was something about the word completely, which had seemed to struck a nerve with the girl, who snapped her head back in her direction, sitting up to address this claim of hers. That blush in her cheeks had only seemed to grow, and as the Majin had went on and talked, she seemed to get more defensive.
"I'm mostly referring to the lack of training between us. While I don't oppose of training on your own, I would still like to measure your progress."
"If this is as shitty as last time, I'm leaving."
And there was what she had been looking for. It wasn't an outright agreement, as the girl didn't care about not showing dissatisfaction, but enough of one was there nonetheless. Fully leaving the comfort of her bed, the Majin had looked at her, expression showing that she was waiting on her to leave.
"I'll meet you there after I change."
It wasn't something the girl had meant as a choice either, as she found herself being led out of the room, before the door was shut behind her. Completely unnecessary, being aware the Majin could just shape her body into clothes, but whatever it took to get the girl to agree to change her behavior.
What she wore herself, while residing in the mansion, was good enough to go there immediately. A plain t-shirt, and jean shorts, which was fastened enough to handle the speed she was planning on reaching under this gravity. With the work she had to do through the week, the only time she really had to use the gravity machine, were late nights, that ultimately had her sleeping longer than normal. It was far from efficient, though better than allowing her body to forget what this extra gravity was like. She would be at a disadvantage, and if not humiliation from the Majin, then some kind of colorful pep talk.
Both her servant and anyone else she had working for her in the future, would certainly have an intelligent side of them, she was sure of that. But when it came to giving pep talks or speeches, which were so human and familiar to her life at school, she had preferred to be the only motivational speaker in this household. Emotions were a form of control that no matter how strong you were, could still be something that was manipulated, slightly or not.
The walk to the gravity room was filled with silence, beyond the sounds of her own walking, and as admiring as many of the furnishings were, they didn't hide how empty this place really was. But this current state also served as a measure of her growth, and the kind of life this place would one day have.
This thinking was really the only comfort she had, normally using her phone to keep her busy, in the house she had grew up in, but wasn't really anything that could be done outside of her own leisure. Too much planning to do, as well as preparation for the fight that she would get herself into.
The door to the gravity room was left opened, her eyes scanning over the room as she made her way over to the gravity machine. With the kind of sweat that could be built up in here, or even any blood that was shed, the place required a day's worth of occasional cleaning. She was pleased to see that the Majin was cultured enough to keep the conditions here clean, with what chemicals that had been used on the floors, barely lingering in the air.
Turning the dial to ten, the effects of the machine on her were instant. No matter how strong she had felt like she was, her body still reacted to the sudden pressure, just like it would when she had made the gravity normal again. A few moments had passed, allowing her breathing to adjust as well, and although still heavy and requiring more exertion, she was able to move around with a few basic movements. Alone at the moment, there wasn't a need to worry.
But the fight that would be approaching, and a proper one, unlike her first with the Majin, was only a reminder of how constant the pressure would be on her limbs. There will be such gaps in her movements, noticeable weaknesses which would take weeks to overcome, or lessen. The other girl might have been at a disadvantage as well, but with those limbs of hers, and that fleshy moldable body, it really wasn't much of one as it should actually be.
The sound of approaching footsteps, had indicated her servant had arrived, and turning to the girl, she found the Majin in her usual apparel. If it wasn't work out clothes revealed both the girl's arms or stomach, with gear like headbands worn, then it was military wear, which was always surprising. Today had been the former, but no matter which outfit the girl had wore as workout clothes, neither served to give out any actual advantage or disadvantage.
"You won't mind if we talk as well, do you? And I assure you, it's not meant to be some distraction."
What surprise that was shown, had quickly switch to a glare, at the accusation that had been made. Though her servant knew this to be true, it was just another one of those things that the girl didn't like to hear about herself or admit. It was meant to be reasonably friendly however.
"Yeah, whatever."
The start of this session had began after the Majin had visibly adjusted to the gravity differences, allowing her to take the leap forward towards the girl. Each step she took, felt heavy, and exhausted some of her energy, but difference in gravity didn't necessarily mean it wasn't possible to adjust.
She was a lot slower under this extra pressure however, and the concentration that was put into her arms, were a painful one. Nevertheless, her speed was still enough to dodge the first few onslaughts of the spheres of ki, as she sped from place to place. Although normally managing to be a constant blur, it was rather noticeable there was a gap in how long before she had sped elsewhere, thanks to the weight of the gravity. But she eventually threw her own blows.
Punches going at the speed the girl had fired her own shots towards her, had met with the Majin's body, pressing into the pink mount of flesh, which was rather solid. The problem however, was servant going onto deform that part of her body, so that her hand was sunken inside, stuck in the girl's grasp.
Rather than fight against the solid grip the girl had on her, which she could feel meant to hurt, she focused on moving her legs, pushing with as much force as she could in this angle. Eventually, it had been enough to make the girl let go, sending her flying back, clutching her arm. What strength that was put into the grip, hadn't been enough to dislocate it, but what pain had been sent into the arm, only seemed to intensify under the gravity's pressure.
As she used the strength in her legs to pull herself up, she found her servant in a similar position, though clutching her side, and using the wall as a support. These were just simple punches and kicks, and their bodies, while although were hurting, were far from leaving their bodies battered and bruised.
"I must ask, how much you've trained up to."
What times they were able to bump into each other in the gravity room, the girl had always been the one to turn the machine off herself. Under normal circumstances, this question would have likely been more insulting than the glare she had gotten from the girl, after hearing it. A big improvement.
"Times seven gravity. I don't give a fuck if you're above."
The girl had been the one to charge at her this time, limbs stretching out and throwing punches, which although were quick, wasn't like what she had seen when they had met. Her servant might have been the dismissive type, but she could tell from the tone that this wasn't the worst she could muster.
Each punch was blocked by her forearms, rather than dodged, steadily pushing her back. Her arms begun to stung a lot, and the effort required to hold it up, only increased from the impact of the gravity. But with each punch that came, she knew the girl was only exhausting herself, however basic these punches were. As the last few had made its mark, their quickened breathing becoming audible, she had pushed forward first with her arms, then with her shoulder.
A slam of sorts that she knew the Majin would need a moment to readjust. But a moment was really all she needed, with her speed being above the girl's own. Their bodies came into contact as she slammed into her servant, knocking her back. An action which had the girl deforming her limbs into mass of flesh.
It landed onto her, forcing her to try and fling it on the floor before it could reform into proper arms. A technique like this, was something she recognized that although could be used as a distraction, it could just as much be used to fight offensively. This was the kind of intelligence that she hadn't been able to see, when they had met, due to just toying with the girl, and not wanting to face up against the Majin's ki attacks.
Her skillset had also seemed to grow past just ki spheres, using the mass that was her body to go and fight as well. Whether it was because they were properly fighting this time around, or some other reason that had caused the girl to develop this change, it was pleasing to see such growth.
"You've really improved."
"What? You think I wouldn't?"
The question she doubted was one that was meant to be answered, as the girl had gotten up, and thrown orbs of ki at her. What mass of flesh that was left onto her body, had scattered and hopped away, as she had gone and dodged the techniques. Their landings had been a reminder of the earlier ones, which she had assumed had left dents in the walls and floors, that she sure was going to need some repairs. But it was a cost that was worth a proper fight.
Though she did have belief that this building was durable enough to at least handle a couple of hits sent towards it. The fight seemed to be approaching an end anyway, if the sweat she was seeing on the other girl, and the sounds of their own breathing, was any indication. But she was more than pleased.
What damage her body had gone and took, became more apparent, as she prepared her arms for a classic technique that was taught to her, by her coven. The Majin had likewise, seemed to be preparing her hands for what appeared to be more orbs of ki. Her charge forward had initiated this last bout, as her body blurred, then reappeared in a different spot, than what had been targeted. A process that had continued until she had given one final leap at the girl.
Her hands had grabbed onto the girl's shoulder, in what was meant to be a shove, as she mustered as much strength as she could into it. The girl had gone and done the same with her orbs of ki, which sent her back not even a few seconds after shoving the girl. Her landing wasn't a pleasant one, as the hits had done well to knock the air out of her, but if she was feeling this way, then the Majin must have felt the same about being shoved against the wall.
Though barely able to muster the energy to do so, she could't help but smile at where this fight had gotten them.
