Sure looking at the things made for quite the boring vista but on the inside they were actually quite cozy, though that might have just been the bathrobe. Much as Sinthe always liked to look the part of the terrifying destroyer of worlds the image wasn’t easy to keep up, it occasionally needed a certain amount of TLC and damnit there was a proper way to enjoy a mug of cocoa. The fluffy bunny slippers though were a personal touch. For anyone who knew him for what he was he must have looked quite the state, robe and slippers and a towel wrapped round his ears in that way that only Earthling women and cat people seemed to be able to accomplish. The house though was just a nice little extra which he was now determined to enjoy to its fullest, a perk attached to the object of his actual desire.
He still wasn’t sure that the slick as all that salesman who’d sold him on the place hadn’t been BSing when he’d said that the gravity field wouldn’t activate outside of an enclosed space, but having showered and kicked back a bit after traipsing all over this stupid little planet he didn’t really care much anymore.
Chancing to pass by a front-facing window, he glanced outside and noticed that the flag on his mailbox (his mailbox that he had deliberately positioned over a sheer drop of ooh, some feet) was up. He thought about leaving it for later, but must have been in a much better mood than he’d thought because he soon enough found himself depositing his warm mug by the door and stepping out into the harsh, chill winds of the Yunzabit Highlands. Most people would call him anti-social for wanting to live all the way up here, for him it was pragmatism. Pragmatism geared to avoid exactly this kind of thing.
Floating over to the box, lest he soil the Bunny Slippers of Destruction, he opened it up and perused the contents. Sufficed to say he was not at all pleased with them.
’What? H-how? How do I have bills—who even knows I’m living out here!? Who even knows I’m on this planet!?’

Spark claimed as he stood on top of a tall rock formation, peeking down at the ground. He watched as the dinosaurs roamed about, going on with their daily activities. So far, Spark has just been to cities which he honestly didn't find enjoyable. These weird ass Earthlings, going on with their earthling activities. Boring, every single one of them! But here in these highlands however, it was straight in the boy's alley! Freaking dinosaurs moving about, causing destruction, and eating each other! Who wouldn't love that! The young teen now sat at the edge of the rock formation dangling his legs as he clenched his fists, watching as two T-Rex went at it, ripping each other a part!! A grin crept up on the boy's face as he stretched his arms into the air cheering, "YEAH, MESS EM UP!!! RIP HIS TINY LITTLE ARM OFF!! YANK EM BY THE TAIL THEN TOSS HIS SCALY ASS TO THE MOON!!!" as he started to point up.
Very energetic the merc in training was. Spark seemed to have a knack for violence, but of course this Elemi was raised by Herans, so it would make sense....and also being a young boy which might play a role in this as well. "Geez, they are REALLY going at it." he claimed with a grin before it shifted to a more wondering tone, a finger on his chin. "Hmmm, I wonder how strong they a-" he paused before snapping his fingers, stuffing his hand into one of his pant pockets to look for something. "A here we go!!" he exclaimed, pulling out a basic dark blue Saiyan scouter he..."borrowed" for some pawn shop. Due to how extremely unfocused Spark could be, the poor boy could never learn how to lock on others ki signatures on his own, but he usually claims that he's just too cool for such a technique. "I bet those beasts are like over nine million, or somethin!" he said as he placed the scouter over his right eye, pressing some things on the side as it began to scan the two dinosaurs, finishing with a beep.
".....ONLY twenty!!?!?!?" the disappointed man said aloud, causing some of the nearby wildlife to look his direction. The annoyed Elemi stood back on his feet, staring down at the two king of dinosaurs while gritting his teeth. "Freakin getting me all excited over two wimps....I'm going to show them what a true badass looks like." he claimed as he lifted an index finger towards the two fighting dinosaurs, blue electricity building up on the tip as he was ready to fry those two out of existence until his scouter went off again, showing him a power level that was actually interesting, and it was close by. "forty six thousand seven hundred fifteen...."
Spark lowered his hand, and looked over in the direction the scouter was pointing him towards before a smirk developed on his face. Lightning crackled around his body as he took flight, sparing those weakling reptiles.....for now.
He kept flying until he came across a house....out here in the middle of nowhere. Clearly whoever owned this was a genius, the boy thought to himself not at all with any sarcasm! As he grew closer, the scouter pinpointed on the target in front of his house. Without much of a warning, Spark landed right beside him, the lightning disappearing as he looked the creature up, and down. The first thing to come to this boy's mind along with out of his mouth upon meeting this unique creature that he has never seen before was....
"The hell is your fur at?" as he pointed with a puzzled expression.

The platinum fox wasn’t exactly expecting to find herself back in her home region so soon, mostly because she was determined to not just up and quit this quest of hers. Fortunately she wasn’t here because she went back on her word; actually she was here entirely because of a request. Specifically a request by some certain people about an electric boy who may or may not have borrowed something that technically didn’t belong to him.
When she agreed to act as the kid’s brother, she wasn’t expecting it to get called up quite so soon. And she was pretty sure it was him because of course he would be the one to cause trouble in one of the only places that would not only be able to contact her about it, but would be able to make her begin to care. Well it wasn’t as if it would be that hard to find someone with practically zero subtlety as long as he was in the general region; case in point, she could feel the erratic static of his ki already.
“Okay kid, let’s find out how much of a mess I need to clean up and – what the hell?” Suddenly Carmel shot forward much faster than before, not over the kid but over that other power source he was hovering around. It just had to be him as well, because this wasn’t going to be enough of a bother today. She stopped a few feet above in the air, giving both parties varying looks of tired annoyance.
“Of all the places, you had to live in the area that I do, joy. Hello again Sinthe.” Round two with the cat, greeeeat. “And Spark, kiddo, nice scouter! I can’t recall when you got that; recent purchase?” The look he was getting on the other hand was one feared by children and younger siblings everywhere, the smile that promised bad times ahead.

Ashes fluttered through the whipping breeze as the Anubian’s ki washed over the scant few sheets of paper in his claws, scattering off in to the wastes where they belonged. He had neither the time nor the patience to deal with that sort of nonsense but it seemed as though the universe wasn’t about to let him go back to what he was doing. It was an exceedingly peculiar power that caught his attention, one which he couldn’t quite seem to put a proper estimate to. Now he’d encountered similar things in the past, there were dozens of methods to bamboozle one’s ki sense but the apparent bearer of this unusual gift did give him pause in no small part due to how forward he was.
And how rude he was.
’I happen to be a shorthair,’ Sinthe replied somewhat indignantly, swishing the back of his hand gently over the interloper boy’s face to demonstrate. Funny, his ki seemed to make Sinthe’s fur stand on end all up his arm. Kinda tickled actually, it was nice. ’What’s your excuse for being so… pink?’ Oh? Creamy skin and patches of hair? Real original. Honestly, these people.
Sinthe’s attention turned yet again when he caught wind of another, more familiar power approaching, familiar in the loosest possible sense that they had met once and not killed one another. Was usually about as good as it got anyway he supposed, he’d known people for centuries that he could only say as much of. This though was none other than Carmel Dulcis, the charming young foxy lady (that is in the respect of being a fox person, not an attractive fox person) whom he’d met on the Kami’s Lookout and utterly offended. Though she did kind of seem to take it in stride even if she did insist on not using his proper title still.
’Yeah, still Lord Sinthe, actually,’ he corrected her, but not making that big of a thing out of it despite really wanting to. Likewise he didn’t rise to her crack about him truning up here, he didn’t intend it to be a permanent thing he was just lodging up here trying to avoid thios exact kind of situation. Although…
’I came out here to get some peace as a matter of fact, try out a new training regimen. Hence this.’ He pointed over his shoulder with a thumb, indicating the squat dome structure which had become his snuggly little bolt hole in this desolate wilderness. ’Not to impose of course, but this “Spark” of yours seems to have an interesting power...’ WC: 432
Spark just watched the weird looking cat with an expression that made it clear he wasn't amused. Even after he showed him his hand, and claimed he had short hair, the boy squinted his eyes as if he needed glasses, trying to see this hair the guy was talking about. ".....Whatever helps ya sleep at night pal!" he claimed with a shrug before the guy made a jab at his hairless skin. "Are ya blind, or somethin?" he asked before shaking his head wildly, making his snow white puffy hair move about. "I don't need no damn hair on my body since I got this." he claimed, pointing up at his hair. "Besides. My sis is waaaayyyyy fluffier than you, and I'm pretty sure you guys are the same....thing?" he questioned with a tilt of his head. He was still grasping these zoan creatures as he was still pretty new to this planet he called E-yarth.
Speaking of his sister....
The boy's scouter would beep once more as it read another power incoming. Still not having a good enough grasp of this thing, he was never able to get it to tell him who exactly did this ki source belong to, but then again he did just get it recently. His eyes would widen as he saw that familiar ball of fluff land right here with the other two. "Sis?" he questioned as she spoke to this weirdo. Why the hell was she all the way out here? Did they know each other, or something? They looked like they were of the same species, so it wouldn't be all that impossible? Did all of these talking animal creatures know each other? "Oh this thing?" the Elemi tapped at the side of the scouter with a smirk before grinning. "Yeah, pretty sweet isn't it? Can sense all kinds of power, and speaking of, you seem pretty much on the wimpy side, Caramel." he teased a bit with a snicker as he scanned his sister again. "As for why you don't remember me ever buying this, well it's because I don't have to tell ya where I get things, and how I get em....I do what I want...." he snickered once again, placing his balled up hands on his hips. With how he is acting, the boy is just asking for it....
Then the Sinthe fellow would speak of Spark's interesting power, quickly giving the boy a smudged grin as he looked over to Caramel, folding his arms behind his head. "See! This hairless cat thing understands my greatness!" he claimed still believing the guy to be hairless before his expression turned to a more wondering one. "Wait what is this about training.....and being a...Lord?" he asked, more curious about the training than anything else.
Chris had been simply flying around today, mainly more so to try and ease his own mind of the coming stress of times. Everytime he looked at the sunset he couldn’t help but be reminded of ‘her’ every time. When they first had met back at that campfire and she had helped him out. When she had protected him on the lookout from Cambia’s anger. Still he couldn’t help but wonder, how could he have done differently? What could he have done to have protected her in the end. It made him angry at himself sometimes, he knew it wasn’t his own fault, but he couldn’t help but blame himself. They had been siblings, close ones even in a short time. Yet no matter how much she protected him, he couldn’t protect her. Damn it..no he needed to keep his cool. Save his full power for a training regiment later.
However it seemed plans had a very fine habit of changing on the spot, for right there near his area he felt the ki of a rather familiar and yet friendly face. Carmel. Keeping his power suppressed he began to float right on over. The ki’s around him quite strong compared to the normal. This one though, the cat like creature. It was definitely something he hadn’t seen yet. Another strange face was seemingly an elemi. He hadn’t really met a full blooded elemi in a very long time, not since Flare. Heh, he actually missed seeing all of them. Heck even firebutt, he hadn’t really talked with her since well..she had nearly blown up a hospital. It had been a good chance than however to have tested out his combination technique. It was the first time he had launched the Big Bang Kamehameha Time One Hundred, though technically with the kaioken at the time, he supposed it was actually a times one thousand. Still the combination of his own techniques with his old friend Gouken’s had shown the power their friendship had held together.
The truth be told, Gouken was never going to leave his heart, he had been his first friend, they had climbed Korin’s tower together. They had learned from each other, they even learned from the great King Kai together...they had both died to the same man once.. “Careful kid, being too cocky can get you knocked out real quickly in a fight. I can verify from that one, watched a friend do it. Poor guy didn’t stand a chance.” Chris would say with a smile as the Angelian Saiyan would float down to the ground from above. “Hey there Carmel.” Chris would say in a friendly tone at meeting the familiar Zoan. However reaching out through his mind with only a slight push so she would know it was him. He attempted to send her a private message via telepathy. ‘Hey there Carmel, if you don’t mind me asking a favor. Don’t tell either of them here what my real power is. I typically don’t want others know unless its absolute necessity.’ He would send keeping his smile high the whole time.
“So ...Sinthe if I overheard that correctly? Your wanting to try out a new training regiment huh? Maybe I can help out a bit, my power might not look much, but I’m well trained enough I could give you a chance to practice your own techniques. Just warn me if I’m putting too much out though, let’s just say I’ve had some interesting people train me so I don’t want to accidentally say flip you on the ground and hold you by your tail. Heh..” Chris would say obviously jokingly near the end. At least the tone of his voice near the end was intended to be jokingly, truth be told if he did go full out...well..he wouldn’t want to be the guy that would be in the region at the time.
Carmel stared at Sinthe with quite a bit of confusion. “I never pictured you as the training type, what with the overblown ego and everything. Most surprising.” She really didn’t; she expected the lord in his own mind to spend all his days either wandering and lazing about – much like she did at that except that at least Carmel didn’t have an ego the size of the moon on her. As far as training went, well people did like their desolate areas for those things on tv so she figured that it was some sort of tradition.
“And as for you Spark.” And back to why she was out here in the first place, to reign in the mercenary Elemi who thought he was a Heran yet again. “If you want to go steal a scouter, can you at least do these things in areas with people who don’t know me? It’s kind of a bother to get called back home for stuff like this and besides you should learn to sense people on your own, having to use a scanner can lead of all kinds of problems.” One of those problems was making itself known, a large mass of snow building up into a massive snowball a bit behind her adopted brother, just far enough away for it to not cast a shadow and tip him off.
At about this point, yet another familiar face showed up, albeit not nearly has horribly bright and blinding as he was the first time they met. “Chris? Well this is the day of reunions, what brings the angel hair out here?” She would have said more but apparently Chris didn’t want people knowing about the whole super angel blinding saiyan of ridiculousness. Not something she saw coming but if that’s the way he saw things, sure. Fine, fine, but I want to hear more about this telepathy, talking to people without needing to actually talk? I’m there. Never let it be said that Carmel passed up an opportunity to be even lazier than normal without losing efficiency. That and Chris did just set her up for teaching her brat all about the problems with being cocky.
“And you shouldn’t go around calling your sister wimpy, I’m just the more strategic type. Besides, I can handle you well enough Sparky.” By this point her snowball was suitably large, as in bigger than Spark was which made it perfect for shooting her object lesson right at his back. Telekinesis was still the best thing ever. “I’m curious about the training bit myself, and I’m still not sure why Sinthe calls himself a lord.” She added. “And if Chris is getting involved……I do have a few things I need to properly test out……” She did need to put some work into the whole making her school thing.
’My recovery has been, well let’s say less swift than I would have liked. It seems as though it will be quite some time before this body reverts to its prime.’Replying to Carmel without really thinking, it was only afterwards that Sinthe realized that he’d probably told her more about himself in that scant bit of dialogue than he otherwise had in their entire last encounter. Whatever the case she seemed more concerned with the young Spark she was with. The young Spark who was projecting on him so hard that the Anubian had half a mind to clobber him over the head then and there.
That was until he caught sight of what was apparently the telekinetic fox lady’s looming snowball. Folding his arms across his chest he flashed her a subtle thumbs up as yet another interloper closed in. This one looked, felt interesting as well and it appeared that he’d been brought to Sinthe’s door by Carmel as well. It might be an idea to keep her close by in future, he thought, she did seem to have some intriguing connections. It appeared as though his trip to the Lookout had nopt been as complete a bust as he had at first assumed.
’Yeah, no, still Lord Sinthe. That hasn’t changed in the last minute.’ As determined as these people seemed to be to undermine him, he was adamant he’d keep setting them right as many times as it took and this new fellow Chris was no different. ’That’s a strangely specific example,’ he observed, swishing the appendage in question back and forth. He wasn’t sure that he was getting agitated, it could be excitement that now gripped him, he couldn’t rightly tell, but he felt more awake now than he had done for quite a few days. ’You might change your tune shortly.’
Turning back towards the domed house he beckoned them all to follow. ’Gravity room’s in the back, feel free to look around, relax, get something to eat, I’ll change and then meet you there.’ Floating back to the porch he lingered there for a second, only in the hopes of hearing a satisfying crunch of snow and an annoyed Spark. Leaving the door ajar as he stepped inside, grabbed his cocoa, now annoyingly cool and slugged it in one disgusting gulp before stealing away in to the bedroom.
There amongst what scant personal effects he had on this world he found his usual attire, laid out on the immaculate, untouched bedspread. He still couldn’t sleep he found, he still didn’t want to sleep, fearing that he wouldn’t wake up here, or that he wouldn’t wake up somewhere else. He didn’t—no… no it was nothing. He was awake now. He WAS awake now, this drumming in his chest proved it he told himself as he donned his clothes. He found all of a sudden whilst he started slipping on his gold that he was more deliberate, that this simple thing was more like a ritual. The cultivation of that famous image which he carried in to every battle. That wasn’t all though, one of them, maybe all of them gave him a peculiar feeling. A sense of vertigo almost and a deep sense of longing.
Nothing for it.
From the corner of his eye he regarded the weighted harness which fitted beneath his mantle and the weights he had removed from his belt to give it a polish. That funny feeling, it wouldn’t go away, especially when he looked at the face of his belt clasp. Could it be that he of all people was getting nostalgic? Ha, maybe he really was getting old now. He’d been keen to test the effectiveness of the two training methods in concert, but the little niggling in the back of his mind eventually led him to think better of weighing himself down for this first run. Between Spark and Chris… he wasn’t sure, something was bothering him which he couldn’t pin down to his satisfaction. No surprises, no sandbagging this time round as Negi had called it. If he were really going to increase the intensity of his training then perhaps a fight begun in earnest was for the best.
Slipping on the now strangely light mantle and pausing to remove the last few weights from the reverse of his belt he stepped back out into the hallway, he idly slid a palm across the face of the fierce creature that adorned his buckle and smiled. Taking no notice of any who happened to be lingering he made for the gravity chamber itself. What had once been a simple storage space he’d cleared out and had converted to this. The walls were bare as though the rest of the house were not spartan enough to begin with, sloping towards the back where the rear wall of the house intersected the space. It was not ideal, but then battlefields seldom were. The only thing which broke the uniformity of the space was the small dome of the gravity machine projecting from the centre of the ceiling, seeing it Sinthe fished around in the folds of his sash for the remote and set the device for ten times the local norm, pausing before he commenced the sequence so that the others would all have time to arrive.
Beetroo was taking a casual walk after have isolated himself from the outside world for two weeks after losing to that Saiyan named Ruttsu but it did help Beetroo gain a better perceptive on how small his power is compared to the other fighters of earth which Beetroo is glad about because it means he has something to push to for once in his life as he was walking he could feel a faint sense of ki coming not that far from where he was now. "Strange it seems there some people out here, but none the less it seems that some of them have a high level of power it seems, might be a good idea to check this out and possibly test out my new found strength but there is something odd about one of these ki signatures it feels familiar yet I can`t place my finger on why it feels so familiar but just does some reason." intrigued by this strange gathering of people Beetroo would make his way there as he got there he would see a strange looking cat creature and some odd looking fox or is it a wolf person Beet was kinda of unsure on that "Uhhh....what did I just get myself into" Beet would say kinda of unsure on what he was seeing still they had some pretty strong ki signatures Beet also notices a blue hair looking kid and some human wearing what he was assuming was turtle gi but besides that they seemed to have some pretty strong ki signatures Beet was getting this strange feeling of familiarity with the human ki signature it was felt quite similar to Ruttsu signature yet it wasn't. Spark really didn't give a damn about what his sister, and her weirdo cat friend were talking about. He just stood there, and fiddled with his newly acquired scouter, pressing the buttons on the side as it brought up different menus, and random beeping noises. It appears that he was trying to learn more about the device, but in the end, he was just really trying to see if it came with music, or video games. To his disappointment....it didn't. Finally the two would stop talking about whatever, and Caramel would turn to speak to her brother who just continued pressing buttons on the scouter as if he were trying to tune her out with the beeping somehow. He really didn't feel like being nagged at by the fluffy butt.
"Well first of all, woman, I can do whatever I want wherever I want!" he claimed, leaving the scouter alone to fold his arms, closing his eyes with a small smirk. "If it ends up screwin ya over, then that sounds like a you problem." he added just before the fox brought up the suggestion of him learning how to read ki naturally. He did not notice the snowball developing from afar, coming straight at him, but soon it will make itself known to the poor unsuspecting boy. "Besides, I tried doing it once, and nothin happened. I'm telling you, this power sensing nonsense is a load of well you know, nonsense!!" he claimed returning to fiddling with the device attached to his ear. "Plus, can "power sensing" give ya endless music, and video games?" he asked, acting as if the scouter was even giving him that to begin with....still no success....
As he continued to mess with the scouter with a semi annoyed look on his face, the scouter would begin to beep the usual tone that indicated an incoming power. "Oh, please tell me I found "Wonder Larry-o Siblings!!" he said, excitedly referring to a game he came across while on this planet. It was an old school game, but something he got hooked to quick. You can't beat the classic, one would say!
Sadly it wasn't a game, but a new arrival who landed here by the house with the others. Spark would turn to glance at the new arrival for a few seconds before lowering his head in defeat, not even bothering to read his power level. The newcomer would then speak to Spark, addressing his cocky behavior, and other things he wasn't really paying attention to as he was now suddenly sitting on the ground, tracing a finger against the surface disappointingly. "Oh, go suck it ya pointy haired E-yarthling who happens to also know my sister..." he said in a much lower tone than usual, still disappointed about the lack of games until he noticed something. "Wait, no my...." he raised his head up before suddenly darting over to the newcomer, pointing up at him before he started to speak. "Wait, you know my sister too!!?" he questioned before hurrying over to Caramel, not giving the man enough time to answer if he attempted to. "How do you know these people!? Are ya some sort of Queen? Or are these your special friends, or whatever it is my mom calls those women she ends up bringing with her to sleepover for like one night..." he questioned his tone turning from curious to wondering as he went on, just ignoring her comment on not calling her wimpy, as if she would have changed his mind anyway.
After all that commotion the boy caused, confused, and full of energy, Spark would then be hit straight in the back by a large snowball out of nowhere!! It sent the boy flying forward some until he landed face first on the ground. Covered entirely with this cold, and slushy crap. Spark laid in the snow, shivering like crazy as he tried to figure out what the actually hell just happened. Now overcome by that usual rage of his, Spark blasted the snow off of him, and possibly onto anybody close enough to him, body surging with electricity as he spread his arms out, hands clenched while he looked up at the sky. Unfortunately, it wouldn't end well for the kid as some of the snow that managed to stick on him melted, turning to water which caused him to shock himself....AGAIN!! The boy fell to his back with an annoyed expression as he mumbled to himself. Stupid snow...stupid water....
The others then started to speak of training which led to Sinthe saying something about a "gravity chamber" "A...what now?" he'd quickly sit up before standing up with enthusiasm. He wasn't sure what this gravity chamber was, but it sure as hell sounded cool to the teen. "Take me to your chambers, Sinthy!!" the Heran raised Elemi demanded as he marched behind the cat thing, still refusing to add the Lord part to his name. Didn't really seem necessary to him, plus his sister wasn't doing it. Before he could follow the guy all the way in however, the scouter would alert Spark once again, causing him to stop, and see that another person has landed here, looking about the same age the the lightning boy. "Who's the kid?" Spark would ask casually, calling him a kid despite himself still pretty much being one before turning back around to run into the house, not even waiting for an answer once again as he was filled with enthusiasm!
There certainly were quite an assortment of people here, ranging all the way from a saiyan to a hybrid to a cat like creature. This was purely going to be a rather interesting day, one for sure he was more than excited to be here for. The amount of strength all of these fighters had. Well maybe he could go at his full strength after all if they just..that was it. It seemed they were not alone as it seemed the kid from before, back at the tournament had arrived. Interesting..now he was positive that he truly could go all out here. At least as far out without using his transformations. If he used those it would just be unfair. Still that excitement in his own muscles, in his blood, he just couldn’t shake it. He always itched for a good fight.
As he listened to the younger kid begin to speak he couldn’t help but chuckle. “Yes I know your sister, we met back at a dojo. There is one problem with your sentence though, technically I am an earthling, part actually. Though lets just say I’m beyond just that.” Chris would say with a bit of a sly smirk as he began to follow Sinthe. “Also Sinthe, just gonna say I don’t call anyone Lord, I don’t see anyone as a leader here after all, even if your probably one of the strongest here.” Chris would say with a bit of a laugh as he followed him into the dome house. He wasn’t much of the type that typically just waited though and just walked towards the direction Sinthe had pointed out to everyone. He was truly ready for this. It was going to be fun after all, and who knew. It would be good to see a unique set for once.
As Chris walked to wait in the gravity chamber, he waited for what felt like several minutes until Sinthe reappeared. Answering to his message earlier from Carmel though while they had fiddled with the controls. ‘Thanks Carmel, I’ll gladly show you how one day. Just hit me up and find my ki some other time and I will gladly help you.’ Chris would send as he felt the gravity rise to ten times its normal. It was definitely nostalgic of a feeling. “Man, I haven’t felt gravity this powerful in a while, if I had a forty tons of weights it really would feel like King Kai’s training once more. Now then, let's make a special offer here everyone. The first one who can hit me will gain a box of pudding, fresh from the market. However the rule is, that you have to hit me by yourself, so while this is a four on one, the first one to hit me by himself, will gain a box of pudding. That is what you meant sinthe after all right when you said I would have a change in tune? Here you go.” Chris would say with a smile at the fun game as he used his magic materialization to create a box of pudding. As he held it in his hand’s Chris would open one and begin to take a bite. Ever so slowly rising his power. Twenty two thousand, forty thousand, one hundred thousand, two hundred thousand...maximum. “Well then? Come on or it's all going to be gone.”
Carmel did try quite hard to not laugh at her silly adopted brother for the situation he ended up in, really she did! For two whole seconds she kept her snickering in check before she started laughing at him hard enough that she might well have fallen over herself if she couldn’t simply float in the air. The icing on the cake came from his standard reaction and the standard response to it when he was once again reminded that water and electricity didn’t play nice together.
At least he was learning somewhat given that he remembered that water conducts after the fact this time, maybe her lectures were making some headway after all! “So Sparky, what have you learned from this? If you could sense ki, you might have actually seen that snowball coming before you became the coolest mop head.” It was important for her to turn things into lessons for the kid, it wasn’t all about her being a troll for her own amusement, these were educational pranks! Mostly. Maybe.
“And I’m not a queen by the way, far too much work involved in something like that honestly, not for me at all.” Then the rest of his comment clicked and Carmel promptly chose to ignore the whole affair, finding it so much easier to make the kid’s mother explain the concept of sexual orientation to him whenever they met back up. Nope, she was not touching that subject. In that respect, the new person who’d shown up and Sinthe talking about his gravity chamber were both convenient distractions to avoid too much problems. For now, new experiences awaited, even if it meant her having to get involved in things to do it. Couldn’t have Spark showing her up after all, that would just be embarrassing.
With that mind she followed after her overly eager brother, continuing with the absolute convenience of being able to have a mental conversation with someone else. And with that you most certainly have a deal Chris, we’ll chat about when I’m getting these lessons later. She sent back on the way to the gravity chamber proper, her own excitement building a bit. Then they made it to the gravity chamber itself and Carmel regretted everything forever.
“Okay, gravity and fluffiness do not go together, they don’t go together at all!” The sudden increase of pressure forced her to actually land on her feet instead of hovering over there and it took far too much effort for her to make sure that she stayed standing instead of falling over. Well it took that and some judicious usage of her telekinesis to reinforce her body a bit, although with all of her fur now flattened against her, it really was messing with her fluffiness quotient.
“Ugh, this is going to make me so sweaty when its over…who is King Kai by the way? Haven’t heard of that one before.” Her question was casual and she did want to know the answer to it but she also wanted to get her hands on that pudding that Chris had summoned from nowhere. Obviously she had another technique that she needed to get out of Chris later on and oh wait a moment his power level was rising. Weren’t those scouters supposed to be bad at dealing with high power unless you really forked out for the good ones? With a sigh, the not so fluffy anymore fox walked over to her silly brother and did her best to swipe that scouter from his face before he ended up with a shard of glass in his eye or something like that. Not that she’d tell him that, the kid would probably find an exploding scouter fun enough to get another one.
“Is pudding really worth the trouble of trying to fight you though? Sounds like a lot of work for little payoff. Now an entire crate of flavoured pudding, that might be a bit better.” As Carmel was talking, she quietly gathered more of her ki, supposedly to help keep her standing right up to the moment where a large telekinetic force slammed down on Chris’s location, because the fox of dreams did not play fair. “Different flavours of pudding of course, no one wants that much of the same thing, it will get tiresome eventually.”
Sinthe snorted at Chris’ stubborn insistence of not using his title. It had nothing to do with leading, he might have addressed one of these lot with a coutesy title if they asked. Well, if they’d asked and not shown themselves as having awful manners that is. Honestly this planet seemed to have no respect for anyone or anything, no wonder it was a marginalized dust ball. He kept it to himself though and simply went about doing what he needed to before rejoining everyone in the gravity chamber. The initial shock of the increased gravity was quite something and even though he had braced against it he found himself struggling at first to keep his feet.
Sure some his own hair got mussed up as a result but Carmel’s much longer fur proved a great deal funnier. He couldn’t help but laugh as he looked at her, snickering at first but between the pressure of the gravity and involuntary spasms of hilarity he soon found himself on one knee laughing his guts out. For a serious bout of training this whole thing had gotten very silly very quickly and he was surprisingly okay with that. He finally managed to get ahold of himself when Chris, apropos of nothing seemed to be ready to take control of the situation.
Oh so I don’t get to be addressed properly, but some shitheel Shinjin gets to be a King? This guy’s full of it. Wait.. he knows a shitheel! A Shinjin! He knows a Shinjin! With some effort he was able to stand again, all the fun having apparently gone out of him as he faced down Chris. He began to raise his own power in kind, keeping pace well with him even if the gravity was a little burdensome, the strain of it and maintaining a heightened ki were kind of a pain when put together and he was starting to realize why this seemed to be such a popular method of training down here.
’Well how was I to know you’d trained in this before? You do seem to have some interesting friends though… and some even more interesting abilities.’ If the prospect of being able to contact the higher powers through this young man weren’t enough then the offer of this “pudding” certainly was. It looked squidgy and bouncy and like it would just slide on down really nicely, but he wondered what it must taste like. He had been all over the planet in the last few weeks and sampled many of what one might consider to be its delicacies, but he had yet to encounter this particular confection.
Yes, this was easily enough for him to want to play a little game with Chris, for now anyway and as his power reached its peak he watched intently for an opening, feeling Carmel’s ki begin to extend towards their mutual target he was struck with an idea. Instead of making right for Chris he darted off to one side, looking to get on his opponent’s flank and attack from there, as he turned back in towards Chris he noticed more than before the pull of the increased gravity which nearly made him lose his balance all together. Stooping he had to touch a hand to the ground just to make certain he didn’t keel over before shooting towards his target.
He’d have to time it carefully, aiming for the moment after Carmel’s attack struck and trying to catch Chris either when he’d been hit (whether he was damaged or not) or when he chose to dodge, either staggered or mid-step ideally. Whatever the case Sinthe would let fly, crouching low to try and sweep the opponent’s leg before pushing himself up off the ground to follow up with a roundhouse. This was actually quite a bit of fun, he wasn’t going to lie on that part. He could feel the potential in those that were here and he knew that there was so much that he could do to actually help them unlock it. He couldn’t help but simply enjoy the fact of helping them grow stronger, maybe even to help him one day as well in a future battle, anything truly was possible. All the while, it seemed Carmel was having a bad fur day. He couldn’t help but laugh along with Sinthe about it. It reminded him really of Hisashi a bit. He really hadn’t seen her since..well the training. He actually kind of missed her a bit, sure she might have been a bit feisty, but she was loyal to cause to the ends of time so help it. So yeah..he missed his old friend, wherever she was now.
“Well I did train in it yes, but I never actually had a chance to master it. I was sort of in a rush at the time since my friends really needed my help. That was so long ago though, everything sort of mellowed out. Anyway, King Kai I guess the best way to explain him, is someone who while rather serious at most times, can always take a joke. He loves them. Just be careful when he starts telling the corny ones, that is usually the point when you just want to run. Trust me when I say they get pretty bad.” Chris would say with a simple smile as his smirk began to turn serious. He kept his eyes closed as he began to feel for the very movements in the air. He didn’t know what types of attacks everyone here could use, so he had to make sure to be prepared.
It was then that he felt a movement in the air as it pushed towards him, the rush of air being pushed by Carmel’s telepathy was what had set him off, quickly he pushed backwards feeling the next swarm of energy. This one from Sinthe, a more melee attack to speak but he was still quick to push to ready himself. He pushed himself simply into the air, flying above their heads in the more intense gravity. “Now now come on then, simple tricks like that won’t work. You are going to have to work for this after all. That includes flying here now. If you want to get stronger after all you need to overcome this gravity...so what are you waiting for? Fly up here and come get me.”
