Cheering.
It was all anyone could really hear coming from this packed area. The stands on each side were filled up with people of different species, not just the Earth grown ones. Word got around about another Martial Arts Tournament starting up, and many fans from across the planet, across the galaxy even has decided to come here on this day to see who would be fighting who, what this outcomes will be on this glorious day!
Finally his turn to battle, Marcel stepped onto the large square shaped arena with a small smile on his face. He stood there on his end looking up at each packed stand seeing how riled up they were about seeing some good fights, or even seeing blood be shed. There were of course many signs being held up by people, most representing other fighters who were participating here as well as some others that were simply...random. It was a large event after all, and most likely being shown live on televisions currently, so people were bound to show off....
Marcel on the other hand had his mind on other things. He looked back forward, and down at the arena he stood upon. He has heard many stories of powerful, and unique fighters gathering here every time these tournaments started up. To be standing on the very ground that once housed many powerful, and honorable fighters was a reward in its own in Marcel's eyes. He wasn't really worried about winning any prizes, and was simply here to battle others who have decided to show up. He crouched down, and placed a hand on the ground, wanting to get a better feel of this place. He has always wanted to come down here, and witness this glorious tournament when he was little, but never gotten the chance. But now, he gets the chance to actually be a part of it! He didn't care if he would lose this first round, but he was sure as hell going to have fun doing it.
The demonic Saiyan stood back up, and began to stretch some, waiting for his opponent to arrive. He wondered who it was he'd be challenging as he honestly didn't pay attention to everyone else who has signed up which in the end....maybe he should have. He did remember that Lady Artikone, and Lady Sarai were among those who joined which he found all the more exciting. Perhaps it will be one of them, or someone else he knows. Perhaps a complete stranger? The anticipation was killing him. Whoever, or whatever, he just knew it would be an interesting battle.
A tournament, why she had entered was not for the prize money, no rather she had wanted to analyze the various fighters of this realm. Purely for her own personal hunt. After all this was merely a way to examine all of the strong fighters in one location. The easiest to spot who war prey to feed her to her perfection, and who was to be a possible threat. All of whom were going to be the end. All that was light would one day fall, and she would be there to cause it. That was her true destiny, and that was a destiny she sought to fulfil. She couldn’t deny that she was here for fun as well. Everyone Earth had heard of this tournament’s soon arrival and no one had been lacking of speaking of such. The various fighters here..she was quite excited actually to hopefully fight many of them.
No matter where one was, it was virtually impossible to not have heard about this tournament. As she heard her own number called off, she wasn’t hesitant in the slightest to come and see this spectacle. Whoever she was fighting she wanted to at least give a slight advantage to, it was why she was wearing her own weighted garment. From what she had read of the rules as well, it seemed weapons had been allowed, as long as no one was killed. It was the main reason why the hilts at her side were now set to stun instead. She truly never had been in a fight before where the goal wasn’t to kill. This was definitely going to be strange, but no more so harder than say the usual. All in all she would already have what she came here for. That was way more important than this simple fight.
She didn’t expect to see that face of all people as she climbed the stairs however. Marcel, back from the cold north mountainous areas. This fight was already going to prove to be quite interesting indeed. “Marcel? I won’t lie, you were the last person I was ever expecting to vs for my first round. Well then, I hope you will put up a good fight. I’ve been itching for one for a while!” Duvainel would say quite excitedly as she would walk to the center of the ring and hold her fist out, a sign of respect for another fighter. She truly wanted to apologize for what she had said back on the mountains, the best way she could think of how even was to give Marcel a good fight.

Marcel who was still in the middle of stretching, waiting for his opponent would stop in his tracks as if he were frozen. That ki....that oddly mixed ki which felt so familiar to him. It was her....that demonic ki stuck out the most to the man as usual. As soon as she came up to the arena, the demonic Saiyan fixed himself, standing properly as he looked towards his opponent. He was expecting to see some familiar faces here, but she was certainly not one of them which he found rather interesting. "I can certainly say the same about you, Lady Duvainel." Marcel responded in a polite yet still a bit baffled tone. The last they met, she had....exposed the man to be being part demon to two others, though not intentional most likely. It bothered the man that people knew of that part of him. It was something he wished to keep secret despite it being easy for some people to just sense that unholy ki coursing through him. She couldn't possibly know about his struggles with that dark half of his, so the man couldn't possibly be mad at her for doing what she did.
After the pink haired teen's next words, the hybrid would smirk slightly before saying, "Oh, I don't plan to disappoint." He walked over towards the center as well, and placed his right fist out towards her own. Normally, the man was use to bowing as a sign of respect, but he wouldn't mind changing it up a bit as he's seen others show their respect like this. The man planned to treat this like a spar...save for the hundreds of people currently cheering, and watching.
After that, the man would back up to his side of the arena until he finally noticed something. The teen was currently stronger than himself which caused him to raise his eyebrows. Of course he was wearing his weights because he did love giving himself a handicap from time to time, but this right here could easily take him out! He thought for a second about removing these weights, but instead thought of something that could perhaps just as well. He wanted to be on an even playing field, and he believed this would work. Marcel slowly closed his crimson eyes, lowering his head a bit as he spread his legs, and arms apart, hands clenched into fists. A dark aura slowly floated around the man, a bit of a breeze picking up around him as well as his clothing began to move in the rhythm of the wind. After taking a deep breathe, the aura would suddenly flare up, his gray coat continuing to "dance" as his black hair spiked up, power increasing some to around his foe's level, but just below it.
"Alright..." the man rose his head back up, eyes open to see that his eyes were now glowing, the ki swirling around him now calmed. "Now, I'm ready." he claimed with a smile before sinking into his battle stance.
As the signal was rung for them to begin, and the crowd now cheering harder, Marcel gestured for the teen to go first, raising an arm forward as he made a "come here" gesture. The man was polite to a fault.
Duvainel was rather happy to see this one, she would actually be able to see Marcel’s full potential. This is where it was truly going to be interesting. If this fight could prove interesting enough then, well this was going to be quite the interest indeed as was with just who she was facing as of. “Good then, I’ve been itching for a good fight. Hopefully you can give that to me Marcel.” She would say simply with a smirk as she walked back towards her corner. Marcel, friend, competition, soon he was going to face her power. However..she didn’t quite like the attention everyone had towards them. It was unnerving quite a bit..and she had just the way to block it out. It was time to show what the twilight could truly bring out into this world. Time to show that boundary that paralleled this realm.
“Hey Marcel..” Duvainel said as soon as he had released his full power, “Let’s make this a bit more interesting.” She would say with simply a smile as she held both of her arms out, the energy coursing through them the twilight energy she was gathering and converting. Very quickly and suddenly did large walls jutt out around the tournament stage. Forming with a roof even as they were completely blocked out to the outside world. The world around them was seemingly gone. While outside of the box all anyone could see were the massive walls of energy, light hissing at its very touch, impossible to even see what was going on behind them. It was on the inside though that the real spectacle had begun. Black specs seemingly of unknown substance flowed through the air on the inside.
Welcome Marcel, to the twilight realm. This is where I’ve been working to control my powers. We are still in the same place, however this is simply what the view of it is from the other realm. I figured to repay for what I did back at the mountains, well..this is my home. This is the realm consisting of that which isn't. It’s only right if we have a fight here, where we can oth go full on out without the worry of spectators judging us. Now then if you are ready as well, let’s begin.” She would say with that friendly smile once more coming back to her face. It was time to begin this after all. She was even first to set off as she rushed towards Marcel attempting to slide kick out his balance by his feet. If successful even on the first strike, she would deliver a quick but small fury of punches towards what could be an open side.
WC: 453 Launched a basic melee towards Marcel for 1,524 PL With Marcel’s permission Duvainel has made the actual fighting unable to be spectated!
Both are officially however still in the ring!
Twilight Walls on the Outside Visible to Spectators:
Marcel's heart pumped as he looked his opponent in the eyes, a friendly yet challenging look on his face! He was ready to get this battle on, and gave Lady Duvainel the first hit. Instead, the woman would call out the hybrid's name, causing him to stop smiling as he raised his eyebrows some in response. Was she worried about something? Was she getting cold feet? No, it was quite the opposite actually. She claimed that she wanted to make things more interesting leading to the man saying, "Oh?" questionably. What did she have in mind?
The pink haired teen would then old her arms out, Marcel readying himself just in case this was her attack in response. Marcel would look down, and notice a shadow surrounding the stone ground, everything appearing like it's getting dark around them. Confused about what was going on, he would soon see the cause of this as he quickly looked up, seeing a wall coming down behind Lady Duvainel, more surrounding the entire arena. The audience would certainly be surprised about this as well with their vision now covered by these twilight formed walls. Some were wondering what the hell was going on while others started to boo, obviously annoyed that they might not be able to see this fight. "What..." Marcel stood back up, getting out of his battle stance as he looked around at what he could only sum up as a strange new area. Before he could finish his question, his opponent would quickly give him an answer, causing his crimson eyes to trail back to her.
Twilight Realm? Never hearing of such a place before, the man would stand there, and listen. This....was her doing? Just what sort of power did this teen possess!? She claimed this was the same place, but everything appeared different. Much more...divine perhaps. "I see." he'd say before his smile returned with a nod. In the end, she did it so they wouldn't be judged by the power they possessed in front of the crowd, something Marcel didn't even think about mainly due to having his mind wrapped around this battle. "That's very thoughtful." he would say. It seems that she was also a bit sensitive about this stuff like the man. But it wasn't the time for bonding.
They had a battle to do.
With everything being said, and done, Marcel slipped back into his stance, a smirk on his face as Lady Duvainel dashed towards Marcel, welcoming him with a slide kick towards his feet! Not expecting that, Marcel would lose his balance some, and attempt to regain it, but before he could, he was met with a small flurry of punches to his side, causing him to wince a bit. A good first strike, but he wasn't going to make this easy for her! As the girl connected another punch, Marcel would attempt to grab her wrist before trying to fling her straight into the air, letting go of her wrist after. If it all goes to plan, he'd fire a small series of dark ki blasts in his opponent's direction before taking off into the air, dark aura surrounding him, not taking his eyes off of her!
(Basic melee landed on Marcel!) (Using Ki blasts on Duvainel for 1,470 PL!)
In yet another strange coincidence that Cryonia had not expected to encounter, Marcel and Duvainel were paired off against one another for their first fight of the tournament. She had encountered both of them up north near her lab. That appeared to be the first time that those two had met up as well. Not only did she meet up with both of them again here, but she would be able to collect even more data on them. At least, that's what she hoped to do.
As a scientist, Cryonia did her absolute best to stay as impartial and unbiased as much as she could. If you let your personal opinion get in the way or wanted a particular result from the start, it was very easy for a scientist to deliberately or unintentionally tweak the experiment to get what you wanted to see. It was important for any scientist not to let how they felt influence the outcome of their work.
Despite that though, Cryonia was most certainly hoping that Marcel would pull through. Cryonia couldn't deny that she wanted to see Duvainel fail. She found the pink-haired girl to be rather insufferable. From the moment she had encountered her, she had been openly chastising towards the Elemi scientist towards just about everything. Being threatened by Duvainel was less then appealing for Cryonia either.
Although what truly annoyed her was her views on science in general. It would have been one thing if Duvainel was just an idiot who was sprouting nonsense. That clearly wasn't the case though. Although Cryonia suspected that she wanted her to believe that she was stupid. Putting on that naive act that gave away her position, speaking articulately throughout their encounter. Oh no, this person wasn't an idiot. Which made their position on things all the more baffling.
Evidently it's possible to be both cunning and ignorant at the same time. Completely disregarding the mechanics of the universe. "Essence of life and death." Life and death aren't tangible matter that you can observe. Life and death are a beginning and an end. Although death doesn't mean an absolute end. You still go to the afterlife after you expire. Honestly though, I honestly expected her to try and convince me that life and death particles exist. Well, it isn't her fault that she's as ignorant as she is. Almost everything is beyond the control of us mortals, whether you realize it or not.
Cryonia was fairly well practiced of not letting her emotions get the better of her. That didn't mean she lacked emotion of her own though. Like most sentient beings, she felt anger, sadness, excitement, and every emotion as well. She was just very good at composing herself around others. Although up in the highest part of the stands among the crowd of spectators, she didn't have to put all that effort into keeping her cool. It was tiring it to do it all the time, so she let lose whenever she could. She was in the middle of researching things on a solo project. That was where she felt the most passion in. She awaited for the battle to begin so she could observe it, but Duvainel threw another curveball that made that impossible.
Cryonia's eyes widened as a huge energy field suddenly surrounded the arena and completely cut off Marcel and Duvainel from the outside world. She couldn't even sense them, since that field of energy was interfering and making it impossible to lock in on either of them. Amidst the shocked cries of the spectators around her, Cryonia sat there silently, her eyes fixed on the field of energy on the field below her. Of all the events she expected to happen, this was not one of them.
That girl intends to do everything she can to keep her fighting style a secret. She's even gone so far as to conjure a field made up of Twlight energy to isolate herself and her opponent to prevent others from seeing what's happening.
Instead of looking mad, Cryonia seemed extremely pleased by the development. A very large smirk had spread across her face, as she looked upon the energy dome that had been set up.
For once you've helped me instead of hindering me, Duvainel. I knew you were going to do all you could to hide your twilight ability. I expected you to just fight without using that ability though, even if it mean losing. If you had done that, I wouldn't have been able to learn anything about you other then your basic fighting style. You must really want to go all out if you went to the trouble of putting up a barrier. Although in doing so you've given me an ample opportunity to study your ability.
Cryonia reached into a pocket in her outfit and pulled out a square shaped object with a screen on it. It was smaller then the typical iPad, but larger then a modern cell phone. She reached into another pocket and pulled out a small sphere. She placed it in her lap, then booted up the device she was holding in her hand. A few taps later, and she activated a program that would control the sphere. Fully activated, it starting rising up into the air. No one paid it any mind since they were all distracted by the glowing energy field currently on the stadium grounds.
It's a shame I couldn't take my pocket storage device with me today, but that's something I'd rather not use in front of a crowd. Still, it seems as though I made the right judgement call in bringing this particular set of equipment. Having an advanced computer that can run programs to advance my research makes things very convenient. I prefer writing down my notes, but sometimes you have to bring out the more advance equipment in order to learn more.
This particular probe model was a simple, yet effective tool Cryonia used to gather information. Whenever it was destroyed, it recorded data on whatever the cause was of the destruction was. It then sent the information to Cryonia's device for further analysis, along with basic environmental data within a short radius of where it was destroyed. Typically Cryonia just smashed it into the target of her studies. Due to its disposable nature, it was very difficult to intercept and left little to no trace behind after it was used. Cryonia pressed her palm against the screen, causing the probe to fly forward and slam into the barrier. Some people jumped in their seats or cried out as it shattered apart. Immediately Cryonia's computer whirled to life, a torrent of data coming in from what the probe had collected. Of course it was only able to collect a small amount of information. But it was a good start toward fully understanding the mysterious element Twilight.
I'm going to find out all there is to know about your abilities eventually Duvainel. Your unintended contribution will no doubt be significant in my research pertaining to the more unusual elements. It's a shame I can't see the techniques of you and Marcel in action when in a more serious fight, but this is already more then I expected to get from you today. I would have seen your ability sooner or later though, even if you hadn't put up this barrier. I always learn how things work sooner or later.
Duvainel carried simply a look of joy as this fight went on. The excitement going on within her mind, she hadn’t felt such a rush of emotions truly ever. This strive for this fight. It was purely one of utter vigor. Her confidence was not wavering simply one bit, she knew how fight this fight could feel from the both of their decent sized powers. It was practically pouring adrenaline in her blood, the brenchian and elemi genes truly did strive to compete in this fight. The adrenaline simply pumping so hard and so fast into her bloodstream to satisfy both of such. She truly was battle ready simply for a fight such as this. A fight like this after all was one that rarely ever truly go to be kept going in a undisturbed pace. One with simply no distractions to keep them from going full on out against each other
“Marcel, I don’t know about you, but I truly do enjoy the feeling of finally being able to go full on out. Not under the watch of others who simply want to judge us for every little action, fear people like me for things we simply can’t control. Do you know the reason I grew such a distaste for the Elemi Scientist we met back in the mountains? When she mentioned my parents that was a huge straw to me, I don’t know about you, but family isn’t something you can just let get disgraced, especially when it is about the departed. That is another reason, I’ve never liked scientist, more specifically those who want to examine me because of my elemental powers. As you can see yourself here, the bare limitations of what they can do. I’ve had my fair experience with scientist, that is the whole reason why my escape pod landed here on the Earth, they came after me, and when they couldn’t have me...well you already heard of my parents, it was our ship they had me escape before the end came. I try to be friendly to those I meet, a good friend of mine that I met, Rukia, she helps, but the moment anyone mentions something bad about my parents..it’s like this rage inside me breaks, it makes me..act different. I blame the demon part of my mother’s bloodline but I just can’t let someone disgrace them like that, especially the deceased.” She would say as the words poured from her mouth. The only way truly anyone could learn the pains of another, was by fighting someone, by seeing how they fight and what they reacted to. Two fighters in a fight were like dancers. In the very moment they were both in heat, that moment was when they truly connected as one, to understand the pains of the other.
Even as fast as she could push herself, she was still not fast enough as she was thrown by Marcel. Her reaction however was quick enough to notice the ki blast heading towards her. Quickly acting she began to launch her own ki blast towards him. Each one hitting one another except for one lone ki blast remaining from the rapid fire heading towards Marcel. “Impressive Marcel..I can’t lie, this fight is getting me excited.” Duvainel would say taking repeated labored breaths from the pickle she had just barely escaped from.
Meanwhile, while Duvainel was possibly having some of the most fun of her life. A certain elemi scientist was try to gather data about her energy. There was quite a certain interesting property about energy. In its very basis of forms, energy was actually the same throughout its various forms it could become. Now for the reason such was interesting. Duvainel’s body and ki, thus her energy were not simply something of before. They had all been freshly created by a certain demon scientist, rather the queen Nakiya herself. Of course she was smart enough not to create a biological creation that could feed on demons without some kind of protection. Thus was the orgin of the X Code Virus, something ensued into the very energy Duvainel, into her body, and energy during its construction, durring the proceess when all energy at its base was the very same. There was rather a second precaution to this virus. If the energy was to be forcibly be taken from it’s source it was to begin its viral purposes. While data was being transmitted, yes, from the probe it was all but empty data, lacking of any actual data readings of the energy these walls were made from. All the information it had gathered was simply filler information from the surrounding masses, aka the air and ground itself, oxygen, iron, etc, etc. Maybe one day Cryonia would learn of the twilight elemental more, but until the day Duvainel was willing to share it, the only actual bypass of Nakiya’s protocols, it was not going to be today. While maybe Cryonia might be an impressive scientist, she was still leagues behind what Nakiya has already done before hand, without even the resources Nakiya truly had as well from strong allies, well it was going to be truly quite a while, no one after all, truly ever won against the demon queen.
WC: 880 Launched basic Ki Blast to counter Marcel’s own! (Duv: 1,524 vs Marcel 1,470) Single Ki blast from remaining damage heading towards Marcel for (54 PL)
The more Duvainel spoke, the more Marcel came to realize that the two weren't that different from each other. That it wasn't just them having partial demon blood that made them alike. Though she has taken a different route, the pink haired teen would still seem to be harassed due to what she was, just like the hybrid in front of her. Marcel's fists even clenched as the teen brought up the idea of people disgracing others families, how that should be something no one should stand for. She was absolutely right. Though a very polite man, Marcel wouldn't allow anyone to disrespect those he cherishes. He wouldn't stand for such a thing, but one could question if he even has a family at this point.
"I may not have grown up the exact same...." he loosened his fists some as he looked to his opponent, a concerned expression on his face. "But I do know where you are coming from, Duvainel." he claimed with a small smile. He also did enjoy the feeling of getting to go all out in a battle, despite the weights he wore. An eyebrow would then raise after thinking back a bit. Did she say something about Lady Rukia? The man was caught up in a bit of anger about the whole family thing that he didn't notice her talking about Rukia in the beginning. He met her previously, and learned that Vampires were more than just fairy tales. Speaking of that Elemi Scientist, the hybrid could've sworn he sensed her among the crowd, but now he was more focused on this battle.
The man was successful in throwing his opponent into the air, and followed it with a series of ki blasts! Unfortunately, the fellow "Demon" was able to counter it with her own set of ki blasts each blast from both parties canceling each other out....except for one on the teen's side that the hybrid allowed to let it him square in the face which only made him flinch a little. Marcel simply smirked after hearing his opponent's comment, following with a nod. "I'm really enjoying this as well." he commented before shooting into the sky after his foe, dark aura surrounding him. He appeared as if he were going to full on tackle her, growing closer, and closer without any signs of stopping! Though once he made contact, it wasn't a tackle at all, but rather he flew threw her as if she wasn't there....like a ghost. If this went through as planned, Duvainel might feel a small chill run down her spine due to the demon's ghostly technique. Once he was behind her, Marcel would stop, and attempt to bring both elbows back forcefully towards the teen's back in an attempt to slam her back down onto the arena!
(Attempting to use Ghost Arts: Shadow Phase to get behind Duvainel to launch a melee attack at her back for 1,470 PL using alternative reaction!)
Using his demonic roots, the user is capable of temporarily turning intangible to phase through an incoming attack. [Can avoid up to 100% of the user's PL.]
Impossible! There's no way this reading is accurate!
Cryonia was getting absolutely no reading from the energy barrier. If the energy itself was just undetectable that would have still made some sense. Black Holes for instance were undetectable by normal means, but could be observed through the interactions it had with other things, such as light. However, her readings were not only stating that nothing was there, but that it wasn't interacting with the trace elements in the area. Which defied every set law of physics in existence. There was only one possible explanation.
Somebody is tampering with the readings somehow! Duvainel isn't smart enough to pull this off on her own. And even if she was, she wouldn't be able to completely mess with my equipment like this while on the other side of the barrier and fighting someone else. There's something bigger at play here: someone with extensive scientific and technical knowledge has somehow manage to do this. DAMN THEM!!!
Cryonia was absolutely shaking with fury, angry that she had been outplayed to this degree. Being completely outclassed in a battle was one thing. But being outmaneuvered intellectually was something she was not used to. Which was why she suspected another scientific mind was pulling the strings somehow: only someone like that would be able to fool her equipment to this degree. She put a great deal of care to make sure that it couldn't be hacked or that it didn't break at critical moments. If someone had tampered with the readings and slipped passed all the protections she put in place, then she was dealing with another genius.
Cryonia clenched her hand into a fist, then moved it up to her mouth and bit down on it. While normally much calmer then this, she absolutely loathed being made out to be a fool. Which was why she wasn't that fond of Duvainel. Although at the very least she knew her science was superior to the nonsense that Duvainel has sprouted back in the north. This was someone completely outclassing her in her own field. Still, Cryonia wasn't ready to give up yet. She wasn't going to get away with knowing what exactly Twilight energy was, but at the very least she was going to learn what it wasn't. Cryonia reached into her sleeve, pulling out extremely thin, almost invisible strands of wire. Cryonia concentrated, creating strands of ki in preparation for what she was about to do.
At least I had the foresight to design my probe to fall apart a certain way. There are still a few pieces on the field. I can at least observe what happened to the metal. I've been denied the information I need to entirely replicate Twilight energy, but I will at least be able to compare its effects on metals to other elements. It's only one specific piece of information that I won't be able to do much with, but it's better then nothing.
Cryonia then flicked her wrists, sending the wires towards the field. Cryonia had created these wires to interact with hazardous materials, although she found that they were useful for quite a few things. This invention was similar to a technique that the Heran's were known for using, which was used to trap anyone unfortunate enough to come into contact with the strings. The wires wrapped around the remaining peaces, and Cryonia pulled them back to her. She opened her pouch with one hand and then manipulated the wires to drop the pieces of metal into. She closed it, the wires retracting back into the insides of her sleeves. I don't know who this person is, but they're underestimating me if they think that just blocking my probe is enough to completely outwit me. You can hide what Twilight energy is, but you can't hide how it destroyed my probe. Whether it burned it, cut it, or did something else altogether, I can use visual observations to determined what happened to it. My equipment may be hackable, but you can't tamper with elemental behavior. I'm doing a personal analysis once I get back to the lab. I won't have access to Twlight anytime soon, but I will know how it reacts to the elements my probe was made out of within the next few days.
Yes, Cryonia was leaving much more empty handed then she anticipated she would. This snag just meant that she would have to be patient for a little while longer. Fortunately she did have all the time in the world to figure things out. Or to be more accurately, she would fairly soon. The time had come to actually start honing her fighting skills and raising her strength: fortunately she had a plan in mind that would allow her to reach new heights with enough training. It would be well worth the effort though: not only would she get the strength to deal with certain obstacles, but the stronger she got, the longer she would live. It was just one of the many perks that came with being an Elemi.
It felt so good to finally have someone understand her situation. Even if she had to bend the truth in many portions it was still quite good to have someone so willing to at least believe the true portions of her story. It may seem rather small and trivial, but to her it truly felt almost like the world finally accepting her. Nothing truly could replace that kind of feeling. She only felt bad for those she would have to assimilate to reach that state for everyone else. In the world she created, everyone would have that acceptance. She just had to survive long enough to ensure that it could actually happen. Nothing too terribly hard, just little bits at a time as her power grew and grew. One day it would all pay. They would all see the twilight then, for its true beauty and not its fear. That day, that would be the day she truly would smile.
“Thank you Marcel..it’s rare to meet someone who actually..can understand the pain of another.” She would say with a sincere thanks towards him. It was then that she felt a cold chill run through her spine. She was ready to strike at whatever was causing it when she froze up. ‘No not now...I don’t need this happening now.’ Duvainel would think to herself in a panic as she felt her vision faltering. Her eyes viewing another strange event..something was different this time though, she could hear thoughts running in her head..no the owner of this vision’s head. ‘Why can’t I control my body? Why is this happening to me? Zeni...Roll...someone please just help..’ Duvainel would hear as she looked around to feel herself being pulled up by something with intense force. That was where the vision had stopped. That was how she woke up on the floor of the arena.
These visions needed to stop..where were they coming from and why did they feel so familiar? Those names though, they were same as the last attack she had suffered when Rukia had been with her. What were they even and why did they keep happening? As Duvainel began to push herself off of the floor she couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s impressive Marcel, I didn’t even see that one coming. However I can guarantee it’s not going to work again. Let’s step up this fight a bit.” She would say with a smirk as she pulled with her very essence further into the twilight, pulling out both of her hilt’s from her sides. Weapons were allowed in this tournament yes, as long as they weren’t used to kill. She had made sure to keep these on stun. Out shone the blades as the hilt ignited. The red of their beam by looks even one could tell would hurt if someone was hit by them.
Now rushing towards Marcel she began to swipe with her right laser blade and if successful, beginning her rush of combo’s towards him. Swinging left, then right again before tossing both into a pocket of twilight and launching a swift repeat of punches towards his chest. This wasn’t the end though as she reached from behind him to pull from a reopened twilight portal the very same blades to swipe towards his legs with the stun function. If Marcel didn’t do anything about this, then this combo of attacks was indeed going to hurt.
Meanwhile on the outside, Cryonia may have been able to gather some information over the twilight, but even with what the probes might have been destroyed by, it was simply the force of what she had thrown against a solid object that destroyed. Even if it was to gain any data, the possibilities would be so large, it would be nearly impossible to find anything truly factually perfect about specifically the twilight element that one could find the same results of by smashing any object into a much harder object, especially one made of ki.

"Wow! We've had quite a handful of exciting matches, haven't we? For those tuning in from home, here's a recap of the winners from each division~ Division 1 had the Elemi Spark going up against the Angelean Sarai. Both fighters did their best in entertaining you guys, but maybe a bit too well~ In a stunning turnabout both fighters were knocked out, but Spark had just too many penalties down for the count, making Sarai the winner!
Our second Division 1 fight was a little hazy on our end, but involved Heizen, the "Jackal Demon", going up against the Saiyan, Artikone! Maybe it was just a bad day for his opponent, but Heizen was the one who moved onto the next round~ Though we really hope to see more of Artikone in the future. Saiyans are a fun bunch, aren't they?
Our Division 2 fight kicked off with the Anubian Sinthe, against the "Demi-God" Suusao! They had a bit of a back and forth with their difference in speed, but Sinthe managed to take home the win with a powerful blast! What a good kitty~ Division 2 of our second fight involved the two hybrids, Duvainel and Marcel. Another hazy fight we're looking into, so we'll be moving onto our other divisions! Division 3 had humans Cleopatra and Galen, who gave quite a show.
These two seemed to know each other, but fought very hard to entertain the crowd~ In the end, Galen was the one who proceeded to the next round. Fight 2 of Division 3, along with most of our other divisions, have yet to end. Though one match you must have certainly been looking forward to, is Elemi Flare going up against the Saiyan Nasu!
Both fighters fought harder than our first Division 3 match, displaying power and speed I'm sure many of you were glad to be here for~ Though in the end, the win had went to the Saiyan Nasu, who will move onto the next round with the other winners! Those divisions who still have ongoing matches, please be aware that time is running out. We hope to see each match end with something excited for our audience's viewing pleasure. Take care!"
Note: The deadline for Round 1 will be Monday, so be sure to get your fights wrapped up.
