All that was heard was the wind, the bird chirping in the trees. Leaves rustled and branches creaked as the spring breeze blew threw the forest. It was always something special when he could lay back and look up at the lush green leaves. The thick brown branches looked sturdier then steel wove above him. They crossed over and between each other fighting for the sunlight above. This was a stark contrast to the mountains the young man laying at the base of the tree grew up in. The harsh sun always bearing down, the walls of red rock surrounding you. The young man leaned up straightening his headband and making sure it was tight. Taking a deep breath he jumped up to his feet his arms stretched out to his side's as his neck cracked. A sleepy yawn left his lips before he reached down grabbing his bag of belongings.
Haiden made his way through the forest enjoying the sights. His boots made no sound as he passed over the forest floor. His time with his father's people had taught him to hunt in the mountains. Everything crunched on a mountain side, grass was easy. Stopping by a creek he stopped for a drink and quick rest. He didn't know if this was the right way or not but he was sure to keep his bearings and head on. He was told Satan City was the closest major city near by and that he might be able to find his mothers people. He needed to find the Saiyans and prove he could be one of them. He knew living with the humans who bore his father's blood couldn't last any longer and had left his village. That was five years ago, five years alone in the wilderness might drive most men crazy. Haiden didn't mind the silence, he liked being alone. Loneliness can only last for so long before one begs for the comfort of another.
His mother had told him about the Saiyans growing up. She had always lamented how she wish to have returned with him when he was young. She had also told him that one day they would leave and go back to Vegeta her home world. Of course that was before he had seen his first full moon, before he had killed his own mother. As his thoughts drifted to the past it seemed like the forest had gone silent. He could see the branches swaying and birds flying by but heard no sound. The noises of the forest came flooding in bombarding his senses. The eye in the middle of his head started to ache. Pain shot through his forehead as he dropped to his knees. The headaches had started to become worse. He leaned back against a tree to catch his breath. Looking back up to the sky he chuckled, he couldn't help but sense a feeling of deja vu.
'Earth is so beautiful! How could anyone ever find this place such an ugly world? I cannot believe Uncle Natto was thrown off this planet with the rest of our kin... The people here are so nice! Cleo, I think her name was that... She seemed so heart warming! So generous! Rather humans have changed... Or there's just only a few good ones like her...'
Indeed, this little girl... The one known as Mitsuba was a stranger towards Earth. She didn't know this world. It was told that this world was ugly, dry, and sour... That was not the case at all! Indeed, there was a few areas more unfit for the average to live but the majority of Earth was water and safe. Though, Mitsuba felt 'easy' here she did not call Earth her home. Planet Natto has that special place in her heart. Though a majority of people believe saiyans are saiyans would sadly be mistaken. With a theory in place, Natto Saiyans are more 'passive' and wouldn't be entirely for war. Their mindsets are not bloodthirsty and crazy. Then there's the Vegeta Saiyans, brutal in nature and violent... It is unknown actually if this is the true Saiyan mind. Regardless though, they both loved too fight.
However, this Saiyaness didn't. Mitsuba traveled the forest on foot, awing at the sight of the beautiful birds flying all around her and the little mammals crawling across the ground. Her eyes aiming everywhere! "Woooow! This place is so awesome!" she said as she felt a little bug land on her arm. Her eyes would widen as she watched it, "Ooooo, hi there little guy~!" and watched as the mosquito would inject it's mouth into her arm. At first, she didn't know it was doing... Suddenly, the behind of this insect would start filling up with red liquid. "I-Is that my blood...?" she tilts her head... At first she felt a bit panicked about it in her head but after a few seconds she would watch the mosquito unattach and fly off!
"It was just hungry for a little food... I guess that's okay," smiling at the mosquito, happy to help a little critter out in surviving. Continuing her adventure on foot she would skip happily and willingly until she suddenly saw a boy. Her eyes flicker a bit from the sun's light, watching rather scared a bit. However, she realized this boy was actually feeling pain in his head which made her heart pound louder. Her heart was sinking to see him going through pain. Quietly, she would walk out in the open and run towards him, "Heeeeey~!! Are you okay?!?" she yelled. She quickly made her way in front of him, stopping in front of him. She tilts her head, grabbing his hand gently too attempt to sooth him.. "Please don't be in pain... I don't like seeing pain in others... My name's Mitsuba... I'm not from here.. I'm from Planet Natto... Maybe we can be friends, right?" she softly said smiling warm at him. She wanted to be something soothing for him not angering.
Haidens headache was slowly starting to disappear when he heard a voice before him. "Heeeeey~!! Are you okay?!?" It was a little girl running his way. Haiden was shocked to see another person so far from civilization as he was. She stopped in front of him taking him by the hand. He could feel the pressure of her small fingers but not her skin through the bandages covering his arm. "Please don't be in pain... I don't like seeing pain in others... My name's Mitsuba... I'm not from here.. I'm from Planet Natto... Maybe we can be friends, right?" Natto. Hearing that word the young man stood up grasping the hand of this strange girl. "It is nice to meet you Mitsuba, my name is Haiden." Reaching down he grabbed his bag tossing it over his shoulder. "You said you were from Natto is that correct?"
Maybe this girl was a Saiyan, he had only been gone for five years from his village in search of them had he already found one. He had remembered his mother telling him about planet Natto where other saiyans lived. His heart was racing with excitement he had to know more about this girl. Both arms shot out grabbing the girl by her shoulders. "Are you a Saiyan? You said you were from Natto does that makes you a Saiyan? My mother was a Saiyan but from Vegeta, have you been to Vegeta?" His mouth and brain where running and processing faster then he intended. He stopped talking hoping he hadn't scared this poor girl. Taking a deep breath he started again.
"I am sorry, when you said you where from Natto my brain started racing." Haiden straightened his headband blushing from embarrassment. "The reason I asked if you are a Saiyan is because I am half Saiyan and have been looking for other to learn about the history of our people. My mother was a Saiyan from Vegeta. She landed here twenty five years ago and never made it back. She had always told me find the Saiyans and learn to be strong." he smiled his grin half cocked couldn't hide the red of his cheeks.
Feelings of confusion raced her mind as she held his hand. He would jolt up and begin going crazy! He would pull his bag over his shoulder which would confuse her more. He would quickly shoot her a question, which made her nod lightly. "Y-Yes... I said I'm from Natto..." and with that she actually learned his name too! His arms would reach out and grab her which kinda freaked her out a bit but she could feel why his excitement was building up. He was... a Saiyan. Her dark eyes looked at his own eyes, him asking the questions now once more.. She remained calm and just gave him a faint smile, "Y-Yeah... I'm a Saiyan... Actually not a pure blooded saiyan my nanny told me.. I'm three quarters Saiyan and one quarter human she explained to me... Vegeta you say... I don't know much about Vegeta other than my family having a war with them. It sounded bad in that conflict.."
Her eyes still giving him a glare of fear a bit, a bit nervous of him grabbing her like this. Her size makes it easy for others to overwhelm her. However, he would slowly relax which put her at ease a bit. She would listen to him slow down a bit, explaining that his mother was a Vegetian Saiyan and his own blood being of saiyan root. Leaning herself back against a tree, she crossed her arms and gave the Saiyan man a glance before sighing a bit. It wasn't a sigh of annoyance but rather sadness. He wanted too know about the Saiyan's history and that was a wish he was going to get. "Get comfy... This story may be a bit long too explain," she said softly as she slid on her butt and sighed once more.
"Saiyans have a... dark past. As stated... I am a Natto Saiyan and Vegetian Saiyans are not our friends. They are actually hated in our culture but there's a sad truth behind both sides... At the end, we both are family in blood. Let me explain how this all starts... A saiyan by the name of Natto was once a great Saiyan on his people. A peaceful Saiyan at most, he was frowned upon by several of kin because of his heart. When he was on Earth, not even the Earthlings treated him right... This caused a big problem... He left Earth and started his own Saiyan culture. One that didn't act barbaric and evil in nature," she exclaimed to him, taking the bandanna off her head and frowning a bit.
"After my people settled down... A giant war with your people against my people happened. Both sides lost dramatic military might. My mother was apparently a causality of war. My father being captured and myself being a baby with no parents. The war had taken a lot from both sides as leaders on both sides pulled off and left the war. Blood and sand mixed so many times on worlds that were pointless... It was a horrific time. The Saiyans on both ends were pretty scarred. However, more events occurred.."
She leaned back against the tree and looked up... "Several years later.... My cousin... Who was like my brother, Nasu... He took control and things just went kinda down honestly on Natto. Him and his strong warriors gained this 'Super Saiyajin or just call it Super Saiyan' and things went down.. We created problems with another empire which caused them to invade us... Nasu was gone and with that we lost our home world," it was hard for her to finish.. A tear would slowly come down, thinking about all that she lost...
Haiden was shocked at the story he had just heard. His mother made it seem like the Saiyans were a proud warrior race. This contradicted everything he was told. How could a people fight among themselves. "I believe you." he said rather coldly, not even caring that it was the truth or not. He might not know this girl but he could tell she had no reason to lie to him. He lowered his gaze to the forest floor, the leaves blew around his feet in the slight breeze. Her story had stuck a cord with him. He to had lost his mother, albeit not in such a sad way but the same.
"You have been very open with me, I appreciate you answering my question. My whole purpose was to find the Saiyans and join them. To fill a whole deep inside me that I've had for a long time." Haiden took the bag from his shoulders opening it as he retrieved a pouch of animal hide filled with water. Setting the bag down he opened and drank a quick gulp. "Are you thirsty?" He asked offering the girl the pouch.
He sat back down rubbing his temples. "As I had said before my name is Haiden and my mother was a Saiyan. I am also not full blooded Saiyan just like you. My father is or was I am not sure, I have not seen him in years, a human. Well as human as a man with three eyed can be." Haiden untied his headband revealing his third eye to the young girl. As it slowly opened it was noticeable that it moved on it own and that his headache seemed to disappear.
"As you can see I am different. I also used to have a tail when I was a child." His voiced seemed to trail off into thought. "I lost it after an accident killed my mother. So I know a similar pain you feel. I would really like to meet your cousin. If he is the leader of the surviving Saiyans then I don't care what side he was on. I shall pledge my life to him and be in service until I draw my last breath." Haiden ran his fingers through his hair thinking about his next step of this journey when something she had said caught his attention.
He seemed so shock to hear about the Saiyans being a blood thirsty race. Mitsuba didn't mean for it too sound all bad but she's witnessed nothing but negative aura around a lot of saiyans. They seemed to always bring problems down with them and it was slightly true on that case. Mitsuba tried to lighten that negativity however, "H-Hey! I will say though... Saiyans are known to be strong powerful people! They were known to defeat anything that stood in their way! They're not called a Warrior Race for no reason. Me on the other hand... I'm not so much a warrior myself. You see, Haiden... You told me you had a tail...? I was never born with one. My nanny told me I was born without a tail and was actually very sick. A lot of the higher ups at Natto assumed I wasn't going to live but I managed to kick it thanks to my nanny!" she said in optimistic tone. Mitsuba didn't want the man to feel shame in being a saiyan for there wasn't any reason to feel shame in it. Saiyans are supposed to be a proud race! However... Mitsuba didn't really find herself truly Saiyan in heart. Nasu beat her up a lot for that.
She would hear him tell her that he's dreamed of always wanting to be apart of a saiyan group or just a saiyan society in general which made Mitsuba just stay silent... It wasn't something Mitsuba really wanted to be apart of but she could tell Haiden wanted to fit in with a group of his own kin. That was something Mitsuba understood well! After all, she did attempt to fit in with Nasu's group a lot but it always backfired because she was obviously weak. Though, she would continue to listen. Haiden kindly offered her a drink but she slowly shook her head, "N-No thank you... I'm not really thirsty right now," she softly said in a nervous tone. It may seem like a calming situation between them but Mitsuba always felt nervous around new people. Everytime she ever met someone new on Natto they would make nasty comments about her being so different from the rest. It was something frowning for her but she would continue to listen to him, looking at his face to study his emotions.
He explained further, explaining that he was pretty human too. He'd even show off his third eye which made Mitsuba's own eyes widen at the sight of it. "O-Oh... That's u-unique!" she tried to say in a positive tone. Mitsuba had no room to judge after all! Listening in further, she heard him wishing to know Nasu which made her frown a bit... Even Mitsuba wish she could fully know Nasu because the only impression she's ever seen of Nasu was always so harsh. He would beat her up for being weak. Kick her as a little girl when she wanted to hug and give him loving affection. It was some stuff that made Mitsuba just frown. She would slightly smile, "Nasu's a strong man. He knows how to be a warrior of his people and he's a figure that we all admire... Unfortunately, my experience with my own cousin is kinda... gray. He's always been rough on me but he has taught me how to fly... Obviously not the good way," she said chuckling a bit but it wasn't a fun way to learn flight. Mitsuba was thrown off a tower by her own cousin just to learn how to fly. Nasu didn't even go down to stop her if she was close to hitting the floor! Indeed, a scary world for a young little girl she was.
Now comes the interesting part. Haiden would ask what Super Saiyan was. She looked up at the sky with a sigh, obviously something she'll never get the chance to have. "Super Saiyan... What is Super Saiyan? Well..... It's a really complicating thing for me too explain because it's something I've never felt..." she softly said quietly. Though Haiden could hear it still, she would go on. "Super Saiyan is a battle transformation. It's when a warrior becomes so strong that even their strength alone cannot win in a certain situation. This power is released when one is distressed. It may be from... Losing someone or losing badly in a fight. Getting your butt kicked like squashing a bean... It's really hard for me too explain but here's what I can say... Super Saiyan is the true power of a Saiyan. Once released, it's your second chance to fight back and show others why you're a warrior race. It's an extremely rare transformation... Everyone in my family I know has had it..." she cuts off saying before looking down at the ground with a frown. "All my family expect... me. Since I've never fought or trained... My body doesn't even have the will too unleash Super Saiyan. Some Saiyans can't even get this unique power so maybe I'm just one of the few..." she said with a sniffle.
Mitsuba envied the power of Super Saiyan. Hell, she envied the ability to fight! She's always wanted to fight! However, she doesn't have that determination for it. She'd always seen herself as a weak person and nothing more. She would return towards Haiden's face, rather smiling though! "That's fine though! I have no reason too have it anyways! I'm not a warrior anyways~!"
This young girl was an odd one, part Saiyan but had no want to fight. There was a pain deep in her eyes that she tried to hide behind mask of youthful innocence. It was innocence he concluded not ignorance for he knew that she had seen the hardships of this universe first hand. Haiden almost admired the child for being able to stay from a path of corruption a life of death and destruction can bring. He figured she must be stronger than he was. Even if she didn't fight he figured she could hold her own against him even being at least half his age.
Being alone for the past seven years had done a little work on his mind set. After a minute or so of his deep thoughts he had forgot Mitsuba was even there. He wasn't used to sharing his thoughts or opinions with anyone else. His head hung over, his chin resting on the back of his hand as his elbows sat upon his knees he drifted ohh listening to the sounds around him. He heard he talk the super Saiyans but it almost seemed an after thought. If he had realized what he was doing he would have apologized for being rude and ignoring her on something he had asked. Her words didn't miss home, they just didn't register right away.
It must have been a few minutes before he realized she stopped talking. It was not the absence of sound that brought him back rather a rustle of leaves under Mitsuba's feet. She must have shifter her weight from one side to the other but the noise was enough to alert him that he wasn't alone. His head snapped up in alert before he realized what he was doing. His face flushed in embarrassment. "Sorry I kind of zoned out there i am not used to being around people all the often. I apologize if it seemed like I was ignoring you." He felt bad, he did not want to make his first impression a bad one.
"You seem like a very nice person. Honestly I am surprised to find someone so young out here all alone." He thought had for a second trying to find a way to word his questions. "I saw... I could tell that you have had a rough past. If you would not mind I would love to hear about it. It seemed hard to talk about your cousin, and maybe if you want we could talk about our mothers. I have not told anyone of that story in a long time.."
It had grown extremely awkward for a moment. After her explaining the Super Saiyan transformation, he would rather remain silent. Mitsuba gave him a confused look at first but could somewhat tell he was still registering all the big news. It had grown so silent that the air tasted a bit sweet. Mitsuba looked at the sky, slightly smiling a bit. "You know... Today is actually quite a nice day. You can't honestly say this world's the worst but... I'm gonna lay this out and say... Earth is much more beautiful than Natto. While Natto's skies were orange... Earth has a blue sky which I think makes the planet so gorgeous. You may want to unite with the Saiyans but in all out honesty, you've got yourself a planet full of good and friendly people. These Humans... I think that's what they're called. They're so friendly! I met a human when I arrived here... Her name was Cleopatra Sha... something. She shows that not all Earthlings are bad! You know, my... I call him uncle... Uncle Miso once teased me that Earthlings are a bunch of ghouls that would eat you if you're too weak but when I arrived here I didn't see that ever happen! ..." she paused for a moment, trying to think of the point she was going to make.
She sighed lightly, "What I'm trying to say is that Earth isn't a bad place it's self! You should feel real happy being here! I just kinda wish I had that opportunity to be sent off to another planet like the rest. Maybe, I wouldn't be here right now under so much confusion," she said softly... She was making a comment about how the other Saiyans had squads that would work together and go to planets which sounded like an adventure. Mitsuba's never been in a squad but now she's kinda apart of one... Hearing him apologize so sudden for him day dreaming on her, she would feel a bit bummed that maybe she was just talking to herself while he didn't listen.
"Gee... I'm glad you were listening..."
Not trying to be offensive but it was rather annoying when someone didn't listen to her. She was a teenager, so having her words not come across can get annoying. However, she wasn't the type to be mean over it. Haiden would then tell her how she was a nice person and how it was strange to find her wandering the forest alone. That made her chuckle and laugh a bit, rubbing the back of her head. She kinda felt awkward here!
"Hahaha... See... I kinda feel a bit weird wondering alone out here without anyone protecting me... Like I said, I'm not a warrior so wandering all alone out here is kinda dangerous for me... But! I think I can run! I can fly at least so, maybe that's a good thing!" laughing nervously still.
Matters would change though once Haiden questioned her previous life on Natto would would bring her laughter down dramatically. She now gets the question about her past which was not really a touchy subject for her but rather a sad one. Sad because she didn't want others to realize how painful it was for her. She didn't want to see others feel pity or sad for her. She would however, smile! Clearly, going to be honest about it but make it sound rather 'happy' so he wouldn't feel too sad.
"So you wanna know about my past? Hehe, there's a lot to say! I could start by saying... I wasn't actually raised by a parent, rather a grandparent. My mother was at war while I was incubating and didn't have the time for that. I was raised by a big figure named Kyuri. She means the entire universe too me! Honestly, I would consider her my motherly figure over all else but she's technically my grandma because she raised my daddy when he was young. Like I said, I was extremely ill when I was born and my development was slow. It came down to where I had no tail! Could you imagine a saiyan with no tail? I'm one of the lucky ones!" she said as she stood up a bit and turned her butt around. Obviously, she wasn't going to moon him but she slightly brought her pants down to show him where the tail usually was. It was clean and untouched, revealing only a tail bone. She spun around and sat back down, pulling her pants back up right while doing so. That was probably weird for him.... However, Mitsuba wasn't getting any strange thoughts in her head. It was just a way for him to understand what she meant. He probably had a sliced tail mark so he'd understand.
"Anyways, my cousin Nasu was always a bit mean too me. I mean, I tried to show him affection because he was that big brother role model! I loved him so much that I'd do a lot for him. Shoot, I even one time cleaned his battle armor and he never thanked me~!" she said in an optimistic tone. She didn't want to sad about it but she kept her smile going. "Now, my cousin Nasu. He's a big deal! He's kinda like the main guy in our family! If you mess with him you'll be in biiiiig trouble~! Another thing he doesn't like is... Well... Anything non-saiyan. We as part saiyans are good but anything not saiyan is weak too him! You really don't want to bring up any other races, especially humans. He thinks humans are the devils. They caused a lot of trouble for the saiyans and it's been a burden to him. Long story short... My life is pretty crazy... Being thrown off a tower just to learn flight, getting beaten up by Nasu once.... Heck, I think if I remember correctly I was his punching bag a lot!" she said giggling a bit but faking it... It actually sucked being the punching bag. She would look at Haiden, "You know what... I think it's your turn too talk, what's your life like~?"
"As I had said before my mother had crash landed here. She was looked after by the man who would father me. I do not remember most of my earlier years, but I do remember the village I grew up in was full of kind people. Actually besides my mother and the other women of our tribe you are the first person I've met with two eyes. I've been told that the blood of our clans men is strong and that it carries the lineage of an ancient warrior." He pause for a moment before grinning and scratching the back of his head.
"I can not for the life of me remember his name. Sorry I've never been good with remembering the past and things or worldly nature's. As I was saying from birth our tribe is separated into what the elders called a village pyramid system. Basically if you are born a girl then you are raised to learn how to cook for the village, weave and anything else required to help sustain the village from within. If you were born male then you were divided into two groups. The first was our hunters and warriors. The second group would be the boys who would learn and train to be elders. They mostly came from the elders families. I got to be a warrior, my first memories are actually of my mother training me. She was rare to the village, the only woman who was a warrior. I know it was because she was a Saiyan but it was special to me. My father was an elder in training. Before I left actually his grandfather had passed and he was about to take the right of Ascension."
Haiden leaned back and turned, his back was getting sore from sitting for so long. He took another sip from his water pouch and continued his story. "Growing up was fun. I learned how to fly from my mother. She was a rough teacher and I almost thought she would throw me from one of the many peaks if I did not learn. She taught me to fight and as I said earlier what she knew of our Saiyan heritage. Every summer, fall and spring the women of our village would decorate to celebrate the seasons. They even had festivals for the moon cycles...."
Haidens third eye seemed to half close again, almost as if it was showing his true emotions of sadness and loss. "I never saw the Moon festivals as a child. My mother always told me I was to stay inside at night during the full moon. But when you are a child you never listen to everything your parents say do you? I have seen alot of death in my short life. Some from predators in the mountains, some from tragic accidents with the weather or a missed step. The first death I had ever seen though was by my own hand."
"When I was eight I woke up one night. I could hear the elders chanting. I had never heard this prayer before so I figured this must be the full moon festival. I remember I made sure I was really quiet so I did not wake my mother and get in trouble. I snuck outside and saw the rest of the village gathered around a giant bonfire. They looked like they were in a deep trance it was actually kind of creepy. All of a sudden they all stopped moving. Each one of them looked up into the sky and so did I. I just remember the moon and nothing else after that. I woke up in a pile of rubble, my tail was gone and my mother was dead."
Haiden wiped a year from his eye before he lost his composure in front of his knew friend. "My father told me that when I looked up at the moon a beast awoke in me. He had promised my mother that I would never seen the full moon. She had told him that if I did then I would become a great beast and destroy everything. Well I did not destroy everything. He said I let out a monstrous roar breaking the villagers out of their trance. They saw me transform into a giant ape. I was standing in the doorway to our hut when this happened. I must have broken the wall support or something because our hut collapsed killing my mother who slept inside. They told me my father grabbed his sword and before I could start rampaging he cut off my tail." He rubbed where his tail used to be. Sometimes he felt like it was still there.
"After that seeing the moon did matter anymore. The village knew it was not my fault so I guess in a sense I was lucky. I could have been shunned or exiled even at my young age but they still accepted me. Life was pretty normal if I had to say after that. When I was thirteen my best friend and I were hunting in the mountains. We had been tracking a pack of wild boar near the base of our biggest mountain. We both were not paying attention to anything but the tracks when a mountain lion jumped out. It got my chest." Haiden lowered the front of his shirt showing the jagged scar running across his right breast. "My friend was not so lucky. It had gotten him across the throat and was not strong enough to carry him back up the cliffs. He died in my arms and I made him a small grave there at the base of the rocks.
"The next few years after that I made sure to become stronger. Within two years I had been able to best even our toughest warriors. At eighteen I had proven myself over countless times to the elders. My father was about to become the head elder of our village and offered me an ancient gift not seen by our tribe in centuries. How could I resist right? So on the night of our next new moon when the sky was the darkest I was summoned to the Sacred Temple carved deep into the mountain side. Inside was a huge room bigger then I had ever seen before. I swear when I looked up I could not see the ceiling. All the elders were sitting in a circle in the middle of the room. In the middle of them was a Brazzer holding a purple flame. I was summoned to stand next to the flame so I did. As soon as I got near it the flame grew in size. I was told that a great dragon saw my power and hungered for it. They told me to put my arm in the flame. I know this sounds stupid but I did and I felt no pain. I looked into the fire and saw a great black dragon staring back at me."
Haiden stopped and smiled then lifted his left hand to his right elbow unknotting the bandage that covered half his arm. He made sure to unwrap it slowly as not to disturb the sleeping beast. As the bandage unwove a tattoo was visible it was the tail of a dragon. As more of the wrap left his arm more of the dragon was revealed. The black ink wrapped around his arm like a serpent with its prey. The image ended on the back of his hand with the dragons head. "When I pulled my arm out of the fire this was here. I never questioned what magic or power was involved. I know the dragon is real and I respect the power given to me. A few days later I left my village to try and find the Saiyans to become stronger. To be a part of a race that would value my power. Its been seven years and you are the first Saiyan I've ever met."
By Natto this man had so much too speak for! He could literally write a book with him constantly talking like this, however this was all actually interesting for the young saiyaness. As the man would go on to tell his tale, she would sit back against the tree and listen in. This was going to be a lot to digest. He would first state that his mother actually crash landed here. That was actually a really surprising thing to hear his mother crash landed here... Saiyans from Vegeta and even Natto were supposed to retrieve their stranded. Apparently, Vegeta never did... His mother was being taken care of by a human male which was rather interesting as well. The man would state that he cannot remember much of his past which made her shake her head and wave at him a bit, "No, no... It's okay, Haiden. Sometimes we can't remember everything, please continue," she softly said. Obviously, she wanted to hear his complete story.
Basically, he first would explain how his society of people would work. When he explained the gender roles and the roles the males took, it actually made Mitsuba rather surprised. Mitsuba would lean forward after explaining everything about the society of his people. "If this helps you understanding the saiyans... Our people are different from yours... You see, Saiyans are born for war... Well, a majority of them at least. During the first few months of being in the mother's womb, they would take you out at an appropriate time and allow you too finish developing in a incubation chamber to fully develop. Both genders were equal in power at Natto. It wasn't gender that mattered. It was about whether you can fight and protect or not. Honestly, the ones that could fight got the better treatment in all out reality of things... The saiyans that were unable to fight were usually left for minor duties. Cleaning, taking care mechanical stuff, just labor in general! Fortunately, I was lucky enough to be apart of the big family that ran Natto so I didn't have to do labor... But still... Unfair," she exclaimed to him. Once he got adjusted though, he would keep going.
He was getting to a point where Mitsuba knew was troubling. It had to do with Oozaru's Transformation. Since he mentioned moons, she could somewhat tell where this would be going. Usually, the Saiyans that are from Vegeta were usually sent off to worlds to extinguish them with their Oozaru's might. She would slowly lean her back deeper into the tree, listening in further detail to how the village would celebrate the moons. His mother even instructed him too never go out during the moon sighting for only his mother knew why but not him. Mitsuba nodded lightly, understanding this. Mitsuba has never once become an oozaru do to the fact her tail was missing. However, she has seen emergencies where certain warriors lost control when spotting one of the moons on Natto and going crazy with their might. It took several normal warriors to take one down, even resorting to using a controllable warrior oozaru to take them down. The whole point... Great Apes were no joke. If one was released, it may be nearly impossible to control one's primate mind.
Mitsuba would hear his mother had died during the horrific accident which made her frown a bit, "I'm truly sorry to hear... It breaks my heart to hear your mother's death," softly saying while frowning a bit. Sadly, her own mother was dead as well. She had died during the Empire-Alliance war. Mitsuba never knew her mother so it wasn't the worst feeling in the world for her. Returning her gaze to him, he would continue his story. She would hear that the whole conflict wasn't his fault which it wasn't. Mitsuba had been told that controlling the oozaru was incredibly difficult. It would take a lot to tame that beast and seeing how Haiden's tail was missing... Maybe it was best for him to stay like that. He probably didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. It was a good tale to hear so far. Very interesting to hear his own life. It actually made her more comfortable with him instead of being nervous around him.
However, another sad part would play as he begins to explain about the horrific moment he had with his best friend. They were both attacked by a beast which made her frown a bit. Haiden sure had some sad twists in his own life as well. However, Mitsuba would remain silent for this part as he continued. Moving a bit forward, he would then go on to explain the part which involved gaining his new... power? He would unwrap the bandage to reveal the dragon which made her eyes widen, "W-What the-," she said in shock pressing her back against the tree. That scared the hell out of her! He would explain that the dragon was indeed real and not just her imagination. Blinking a few times in confusion, "Wow... I've honestly never heard of anything like that! That's unique, Haiden!" saying to the man with shock in her tone. However, this was now concluding the story of this fine warrior.
His story was so rich... So powerful... So sad... Yet, he was still here. It sounded like a legendary person was being narrated in this tale but it was actually him. She believed it. The society of his people, his mother, the oozaru release, his best friend, and finally... His tattoo. She would believe it all. Mitsuba gave him a very firm smile. He wanted to meet another Saiyan for the first time and now he's finally got his wish. The saiyan he's always wanted to meet was right in front of him, Mitsuba herself. She would slowly stand up, keeping the smile on her face. "Haiden... It's a big pleasure for me to be your first saiyan that's a stranger. You can come with me and meet my nanny and my best friend Isis and stuff! We're a bunch of remnants from our planet that crash landed here. I did at least," she said smiling at him once more. Haiden would now have his chance to finally meet some saiyans. A group of saiyans to be exact. "I've gotta tell you a few things though... First off, some saiyans are nice and kind while others are more aggressive and rough. It's usually the Saiyan's blood that makes a majority of our people rough and tough. Though, my nanny will be really nice when you meet her," exclaiming Mitsuba. She would turn her back towards him though, "Secondly, if you want to be apart of the group... You may have to provide help. All of us have a duty there and we try to keep every saiyan we can going," she said towards Haiden. That wasn't the worst thing she had to tell him though...
"Finally... Haiden this is very crucial... Extremely Crucial actually," saying coldly as if this was starting to get darker. "If you ever meet Nasu, do not join him... My cousin... He left Natto too blow up. He didn't help his own kin when there were millions screaming for help for their leader. Nasu didn't do anything right for his people... I ask that you please do not join him. Joining the remnants of Natto is a much wiser choice..." she would continue to say. However, she didn't want her cold voice to scare him. She actually admired him! Mitsuba would love for the man to join the group, she turned around with a smile and gave him rather a calming face. "So... You still wanna join the group of your blood and kin, Haiden?" she asked him.
He smiled and tilted his head forward in the best bow he could muster from his seated position. She had expressed appreciation for being the first Saiyan Haiden had ever met. The smile on his face at her offer to meet the rest of her psuedo family brought a fullness to the longing he had been feeling for years. The idea of finding more Saiyans and even being able to join them and live among them would be a chance he would not pass up. He traced a line down the dragon tattoo with his finger, it almost looked to shiver. Grabbing the bandage he listened as she told him of her Nanny and best friend.
He wrapped his arm back up carefully nodding in full understanding when she said that if he did want to join he would have to put in his share of work. That was fine for Haiden he had grown up helping to supply for the village. He stood up as she said this turning her back to him. Reaching down he grabbed his bag putting his water pouch inside. "I do not mind helping out. If it means being closer with my people I'd give my life you all of you. Blood binds my word and our heritage." He did not care how cliche he sounded offering his life in service to a people he did not have a clue about. Standing there he could almost feel the chill that ran through her words about her cousin. A king who left his people to die forsaking his duties. When he had first heard he speak of a King to the Saiyans he couldn't wait to bow to his service. However this was no king Haiden wished to follow. Yes Haiden desired power and fame, he wanted to make a name for himself. He knew he would one day even if it was just to a small band of his people. As long as he could be remembered he had served his purpose.
Dropping to one knee Haiden looked up at the young girl with fierce conviction. "Mitsuba, you have given me a way to fulfill my dream. I swear on the Gods of the mountains and whatever gods if any you serve that I shall devote my service and life to your family and friends who I one day would hope to look upon with the same regards. If I ever meet this Nasu then I shall not join him. If it is in my power I shall deliver justice to him for the many he let die. The word of my clan binds us till death." He thought for a second, he sounded like some fool in an old tale about heroes and kings. His odd ideals of honor and chivalry had always come across as strange to him.
Getting off his knee Haiden tossed his pack over his shoulder. "Well my knew friend I shall follow you till you have no need of me any longer." He laughed at his dry joke giving he a playful push of the shoulder. "I would very much like to know more about your Grandmother and your friends if you would not mind. If I could have an idea of them I might not be so nervous when we meet."
It was actually a great day now for Mitsuba. She had finally met another saiyan that wasn't entirely bad. He was so kind that he would do a lot for them. Mitsuba knows he'll fit in just fine with the rest of the group! She smiled at him, motioning him to follow her as she began walking away from the scene they just met from. She would begin walking away as she starts talking to him once more, "It is with great pleasure Haiden for me to guide you towards our people... Though our planet is in pieces now... I think we can all come together and unite ourselves," she said smiling at him.
She would hear his final question which would make her giggle, "You have nothing too worry about... They're really nice people and they're definitely saints compared to most saiyans! You'll be fine, Haiden!" exclaiming the saiyaness.

I know was extremely short for a thread but I wanted you too catch up! PL Please!!
The excitement that welled up in his chest felt like it would make him explode. This was an amazing feeling. He looked up to the sky and closed his eyes taking in the moment. He definitely did not notice her starting to walk away. Haiden could hear her voice trailing away making him look ahead seeing her further away. He redid his bandana around his head tightening it with a quick pull.
"Hey Mitsuba wait up!" He called out racing after her. This was it the start of the life he had always dreamed of. Soon to be with other saiyans he walked along the forest floor with his new friend. His story just beginning.
