Awaking to a dull grey sky and a light, refreshing rain Exaccus pulled his heavy, quadrupedal frame up and out of the hollow log he'd been sleeping in and out onto the damp grass of the forrest floor the damp grass, rain pelting his heavy chitinous carapace and seeping into the thin gaps between its plates.
<Spring then> he thought to himself as he ponderously marched through the forest on his long slender legs, paying no mind to the various median lifeforms scattering as he walked through the verdant landscape that rolled on into banks of feint fog caused by the humidity of the air and rainfall.
If he was entirely honest with himself he didn't know where he was going, just that he was going somewhere...it must've been another programmed imperative for when he reached this stage of his existence and whilst he was growing quite weary of his heavy handed creator's meddling with his mind he had to admit there was a certain level of curiosity that encouraged him to continue to follow them now; though it remained mostly about silencing the droning urging in his mind.
he was close to it, that much he knew in the very core of his being, close enough that he could avoid revealing himself by flying or otherwise releasing the detectable quantities of his bio-energies to draw attention to himself, for whilst he was far mightier than when he'd begun he was still riddled by the fear and terror inherent to being in his weakest and most vulnerable form.
after a few hours of slow but steady advancement through the dense vegetation and rain of the forrest he came upon something he had absolutely not expected to find, there in the midst of the deepest part of the forrest hidden away from the world was what could only be described as an extremely large house well kept and seemingly abandoned but nowhere near overgrown.
A feeling of unsettlement dawned upon exaccus as the urges ushered him in; maybe his creator hadn't abandoned him at all..maybe he'd just been faking it to ensure that he had been driven to disprove his apparent worthlessness?
the mere idea that he had infact been playing into his creators hands all this time turned his stomach as he wandered in through the foyer, power level waxing full in preperations for any of his wayward creators tricks and traps,
His stationary eyes taking in the sparse furnishings around him as he moved through the corridors and hallways, searching and growing more accustomed to the room plan, he felt his fear begining to subside, there were absolubtely no signs of habitation, as far as he could tell this grand building had been errected, filled with nessecities and then seemingly abandoned by his creator.
No doubt this was to be his base of operations from now on, one that he was apparently charged with furnishing and maintaining; well, there were worse things that might've been waiting for him honestly. Practically everywhere she walked around the mansion nowadays, she could hear someone making some kind of noise. If it wasn't the Vampire's cousin bossing that Supidoan around, it was that so called hall monitor either dragging her friend with her, or racing those two shy things towards the kitchen. It was only half of what they did too.
This place used to be quiet with just her, the Vampire, and just the Saiyan, but now look at where things had gone. She found herself using that jacuzzi room more and more often, with it being the farthest room in the mansion.
There was hardly any training done during the day, as she was too annoyed at not being able to find any peace for herself. She had stay up well in the night for that, where she could be alone, and not have one of them trying to talk to her. Persistent bunches who couldn't take being told 'fuck off' as a hint, not a cry for help.
They didn't get that not everyone wanted to get talked to. But the ones who bothered her the most, were also those she couldn't fight. They were mostly humans, and she couldn't bring herself to hurt them beyond verbally.
Not like that Saiyan, who didn't care whether or not she threw a hit at any of them. They were all able to only get away with being so loud because the little girl didn't want to risk losing someone who could give her a challenge.
She felt similarly about the Vampire, though only because even after months of staying here, she wasn't as strong as she liked. The brunette was considered a countess or whatever among her people, while the Saiyan had recently managed to become a Super Saiyan. Meanwhile, none of what she heard Majins faced, had remotely happened to her.
Unlike their stupid war stories, these tales of having to face off against themselves, was more than being some stupid metaphor. What she had been told wasn't overly descriptive, and their expressions shown how serious it was.
Her dad, uncle, and practically everyone else in their family, had truly been scared by this other half of theirs. The fact that she hadn't gotten her turn, meant that she still wouldn't be able to beat them if she ran into them.
Prove that she didn't need them around to make it on her own. That she wouldn't have to join the stupid military, where she was more likely to be blasted into nothing, than going on one of these stupid trips with the Vampire.
The Southern Islands had been a place they hadn't been around for awhile, and was supposed to be a one day kind of thing, now that the brunette was fast enough to travel somewhere in a few hours, instead of a few days.
It was a pain in the ass, and not to mention embarrassing, having to be carried the whole way there, but the girl's speed was on a whole other level. She had made the mistake of opening her eyes and nearly retched at how things were blurring by. If she hadn't knew what was going on, she would have thought she had gone blind or something.
There wasn't really anything she was interested in seeing. She wished the humans could have said the same, but the island was pouring in rain, with only the Vampire's cousin and the Supidoan really going out anywhere.
Training in the gravity room, although she had managed to get some time in, didn't feel worth it anymore, doing so alone. It was shorter than her usual times, out of boredom if anything else, though she wasn't going to head to her room just yet. The humans hadn't settled down yet, and being around that wasn't what she wanted after a workout.
So leaving the gravity room, she had left the mansion without a word, taking an umbrella with her. It was wet outside, and the air smelled god awful compared to what she was used to both back in West City and her hometown of East City, but it wasn't like she was planning on staying out here for long. Just enough to have them shut up.
Taking flight in the air, there wasn't a place she had in mind. Maybe she would check out the ruins of the Saiyan Outpost yet again, or maybe she would head into the forest and let out more steam she would know would build up.
It all depended on what got her interest. Her power level wasn't something she had bothered to suppress, if only because she was confident her relatives had no real ties to a place like this. Even when they were well and dead, she couldn't see any of them retiring from fighting. It just wasn't who they really were, and nothing would change that.
So why did they have to go and fucking try and change her?
As the minuits crept by and the sky grew darker and leaden with the weight of the storm blowing through it exaccus had all but finished his exploration of the forest mansion in ernest, though there had been something unsettling him the whole time, the ominous feeling of things not being quite what they seemed.
Settling down in what he assumed had been designed as the study he lowered himself to lay against the seemingly unblemished red carpet, surrounded on all sides by dark mahogany panelling, polished unto a dark mirror that shined with the low lighting of the room.
It was odd, even after sleeping such a great and enormous length of time quietly away in the woods, practically hibernating his way though the colder half of a year that he could still be so tired.
No doubt he was still learning to cope with the new metabolic constraints his considerably stronger body now required, though he still pang'd with hunger it was nowhere near the feeling of panic and starvation that had previously driven him to ever greater prey and feeding frenzies.
he'd travelled a lot since he'd been released, from the northern mountains to the southern isles and eveywhere inbetween, passing through and by numerous regions of the earth, and seen and interacted with all manner of beings in all walks of life, criminals, civilians just trying to live one day to the next, powerful warriors and monsters that roamed the planets surface.
he remembered his creator, the absurd fear that had lead to his creation as a bio-weapon capable of consuming and destroying the "alien menace"; it was laughable; that his xenophobic creator had managed to attain the DNA of the very beings he feared and created him, an actual living weapon from their very genetic code, that this monsterous amalgamation that was him, was somehow better than the various individual races he was composed of?
It was true that he was no stranger to fear himself, he'd first been cast out of his creators dubious care and into the woods with barely enough energy to hunt and take the prey that would ensure his continued survival, and so he had carried on, much like the various civilians that called the world home, fighting to live day to day, he had hunted and he had waged battle, known fear and anger and pride in his artificial heart as readily as a unengineered being would their own and he had triumphed where many others had failed.
He had overcome the limits of his larval form, communicating with other beings and through his actions begun forging friendships and enemies that would endure throughout his life span.
It was undoubtably poetic that he, born to be a destroyer of those whom his creator had deemed unfit in his supreme arrogance and outrageous fear, had grown not only in power but mentally, spiritually and over all become a far greater being than his maker could ever hope to attain for himself.
He'd just about begun to fall into the deep slumber that so often found him at the end of a day when his senses flared to life, there was a comparatively large power level approaching, though more than that, it was....a strange power; not like the bio-energies of humans, saiyans or namekians nor was it as his own, hybridized aura but more...primordial and roiling, Chaotic even.
Rising quickly back onto his feet in response and whirring into action, so far he believed himself undetected and though he couldn't guarantee that the approaching power was a friend or a foe, he certainly hoped for the latter...
It was then that he realized; he was allowing fear to control him, much like his creator had; feelings of disgust and revulsion rose in his stomach.
He refused to allow himself to become like his maker, and in defiance of his fear and maker, allowed his power to leak out into the air, dark purple energies streaming from his carapace in whispy tendrils like cold, bright fire and invitiation for his guest to join him in what he now considered to be his home.
for better or worse he wouldn't be a puppet to his creator any more @rukia TWC: 1207 Heavy Weights: +75% PL gains -75% PL Mansion: +50% PL gains Repressed Form: +10% PL Gains -25%PL Milkian High intelligence: +5% PL gains PL Base:4,161 Larval form x4: 16,644

So much that she was starting to regret having come out here in the first place. The umbrella she held over her head, although managed to keep the rain from touching her body, didn't shield the fact that it was growing cold.
This island that was supposed to be a resort spot, had people mostly hiding away indoors, which was what she should have done. Wherever that Vampire's cousin had run off to with the Supidoan, she wasn't sensing them anywhere nearby.
Probably one of the spas here. Rain or shine, those things wouldn't just close down what they were expected to have. There were no interesting power levels in the air either. As expected, a majority of the ones here averaged to about five or six hundred. The Vampire wasn't exactly wrong about how humans never really seemed to change in that area.
As she moved past the main commerce areas of the island, she could feel her body letting out small wisps of steam, having detected the difference in heat this rain was giving off. It was an annoyance, and one which had her cheeks tinging pink at having to have something so obvious, revealed about her. She felt exposed, and although she was flying high enough to avoid the eyes of whoever was still out in this weather, it didn't keep her from quickly moving along.
This wasn't what she had in mind when she said she wanted to let out some steam. There was no point in trying to stop what was considered to be natural for her, but it did bring back memories of growing up in her household.
Images of her relatives flashed through her mind, though were pushed back as she focused her thoughts more on what she was seeing around her. She wasn't going to let herself be that way. Especially not out in the stupid rain.
If there was anyone who sulked about this kind of stuff, it was that Vampire. The brunette wanted them to believe that they were disposable, and just creatures that she had around because she had the kind of power to do so.
But everyone in this mansion, including herself, knew the girl hadn't given up her humanity yet. She was able to kill, but she still cared enough to surround herself by the humans who she just saw as weak. Even going so far as to personally talk to them like anyone else normally would. Them not being threats had nothing to do with it.
The steam being released started to settle down to a more quiet puff. It didn't matter if it was because her body caught up to adjusting to the conditions here, or if it was because she had worked out some issues with the Vampire.
Dumb thing had stopped, and the buildings she had passed, which looked as same as the ones in any other city to her, she flew by without much distaste. There were just so many things about these different places, that although she appreciated, didn't hold her interest. Fighting was in her blood, but wasn't something that was always on her mind.
The thing she found the most comfort in was being alone and by herself. No one around to go on about something she didn't want to hear, or for anyone to expect anything from her. The things she did was because she wanted to.
With the more tourist based buildings being left behind her, she found herself getting closer to the outskirts, where the forest became more in view, and it was clearer how much the rain was really pouring down out here.
If there was one good thing about the way her body worked, it was that she wasn't going to catch a cold from this stupid storm coming along. She'd head back towards the mansion after checking out the Saiyan Outpost.
This weather was already something she was getting sick of seeing. Turning to face that direction, the patter of the rain continuing to accompany this stop she had taken, she felt a sudden change in the power levels in the area.
Weaker than her by far, but a lot higher than the ones she had sensed earlier. She didn't recognize the energy, and although she frowned at having to change course, this did take her interest. More than looking at what she knew would just be rubble, would anyway. Whoever it was, they weren't coming towards her, or even leaving.
Working with Vampire, the crap that she got dragged into involved seeing the girl lash out, while she and the others cleaned up the mess left behind. People getting thrown that didn't need to be, just tossed aside like ragdolls.
She didn't need to see that kind of thing happening on this trip, just because some asshat wanted to test out their power. Her own ki had flared out, an indication to this being that she was planning on tracking them down.
They were lucky that she wasn't like the Saiyan, who would have made them their plaything. Unless she was blasted at first, there wasn't going to be any fighting going on that she could see. It would be a losing battle if it were.
Following after this energy signature, had led her towards a mansion, which was different from the one she was used to living in. The thing was nice looking, but there were no security locks from the look of things, and walking inside, the interior was hell different as well. Red carpets, and the structure of the halls were led to different places.
She wasn't one to shout out that she was here, like the idiots on TV, who walked into the house that would get them killed. This being should have known that she was here from her ki, and she continued to follow the signature, until coming into what appeared to be a study of sorts. Her eyes widened however, after seeing who the source was.
"You're one of those bug things..."
TWC: 1,848 Exaccus Forgot to mention it the other day, but if you want the mansion benefits, you need to add (Mansion) to the title.
Exaccus Didn't know exactly what was going to happen but he knew for certain that whatever it was, it would be far far more intresting than skulking through the silent mansion again but he definately hadn't expected that his guest would be bubblegum pink nor that they would have lines of holes along their arms that seemed to be letting out slight whisps of steam.
he remained stationary, certain that sudden movements would be ill advised and opted instead to slowly nod his head in response to her statement an awkward gesture for sure behind the layered armour of his exoskeleton but not impossible as he slowly turned to face her, tilting himself questioningly and doing his best to communicate his own question, unsure if his vocal cords were able to manage speech he opted instead to lightly singe his words into.the wooden panneling of the wall
<And you are?>
proceeding to scan the room by turning slowly away and then back to face her again with his large stationary insectine eyes.

But who the hell wouldn't be? It wasn't everyday you met something that was supposedly grown in a lab. She had remembered plenty of times where that Vampire had warned them about these things, and how they were a threat.
Something she knew the brunette only believed in, because of reports one of those two fanatics had gathered up, from some other crazed fanatic. At the time, she had brushed it off, since the idea of people disappearing with these things around, made her believe that someone had just mistook one of her own kind as something else.
Though after the girl had managed to land her role as CEO of Capsule Corp, and presented her with confirmed reports, there was no arguing whether or not these things were real. And what they learned was that these things changed when they had absorbed people, which is an ability she knew from her own people, wasn't one to really mess with.
It might have both looked and felt like it was nothing, but that's where she would agree with the brunette that it was potentially a threat. If the Vampire was here, she would have likely detained the thing, and have it as some sort of experiment, which would decide whether or not to kill it. But she wasn't like the girl, and had no interest in even touching it. Two beings that were able to absorb others, shouldn't at all be involved with the other.
Whatever threat it could grow to be, they would just have to deal with it when the time had come around. This thing was lucky she hadn't been the Saiyan either. The little girl wouldn't have kicked it around like a football, and crush the hell out of it, without the worry of the Vampire disagreeing. Whatever happened outside the mansion stayed outside. They could have killed a ton of people if they had wanted to, as long as the girl had saw it reasonable.
Knowing she must have looked stupid being all surprised, she had frowned, moving the wet umbrella she had folded on the way here, so that it was tucked underneath her arm. Droplets of water spilled onto the floor, but it wasn't like that wasn't going to dry later anyway. With their difference in power, and her arms being essentially crossed over the other, she doubted this thing would really complain either. In response to her statement, the thing nodded its head.
"You should consider yourself lucky I'm not like most of those I live with. I know two people who would love to toss you around like a ball."
Moving towards the wall, where she wondered if it was going to just go and crawl somewhere, she found that the thing had instead done so to talk through it. Weird, but it was hell better than through some kind of telepathy.
Even if he couldn't really read her mind, judging from what she had felt, she could still remember that Namekian talking to her that way, and offering his help. Thinking about it now, her fingers had tensed up into fists.
She got the idea of what he was doing. Knowing the type of people those slugs were, the guy was just trying to be some savior. But to look at her with those kind of eyes, it gave her the impression that she was being looked down on.
She stayed with the Vampire for her own reasons, and would say whatever the hell she wanted to the brunette, no matter who was around. The issue back then, was just that they were asking her to change her body for a stupid trick.
Her tone had come out condescending, though one which carried amusement in it. The thing's question for her name had been ignored at the moment for her statement, while the welcome that it gave, only had her huff. More from the passing memory of the Namekian, than it was for the hospitality, and not to mention modesty, that a bug surprisingly had.
"Your creator must have left out a few things, if you really think this place isn't much."
She wasn't sure exactly how a bug who couldn't talk normally, would even able to get its hands on a place like this, though knowing these things had came in capsules, it shouldn't have been hard to just go and swipe one.
Gesturing to the room with one arm, though not letting her ki senses down, it wasn't really a bad place to wait out this storm. If the Vampire or one of the others needed her for anything, they needed their eyes checked.
She wasn't going to head out there anytime soon, even with this umbrella. This place would be moderately treated the way she would have treated the mansion that she lived in, though she supposed she had to talk to this thing in return.
"If you want to talk or whatever, then go ahead. Just skip all that boring crap like introductions, because it would be a good thing if we don't meet again after today."
