Snoring.
For the past week and a half, it had been a noise quite present on her mind. Back when those inhabiting her mansion consisted of only the Majin, and the Saiyan, this noise had only came from the latter, who chose the living room as to where she slept. Adjusting to such a disturbance, whenever she happened to go near the area, took some time, but this current one she couldn't seem to be able to ignore. Even while knowing that it was just a temporary issue.
As she descended the steps that would lead down to the hall connecting to the front door of the building, her mind filled with images of the lively brunette, that so often used an orange ribbon like it was a headband.
It hadn't been that long since she and their mutual raven-haired friend, had moved into the mansion. Their presence here, was one filled with the brunette acting as a hall monitor, no matter how annoying it might have been for the other two who had been here much longer. With a clipboard in hand, directing the traffic that left through the front door, sparse as it was, it was very fortunate that she had taught these two humans how to dodge and block.
The other two much longer residents of the mansion, if made irate, wouldn't hesitate to strike either of these newer ones. Not in a way that would kill them, as they were here because she saw potential, although it would hurt if contact was made. The evidence of that were several walls that had to be refilled in and painted over.
Such instances had ceased as far as she was aware, with the current issue at hand being the result of the brunette also residing here, as she worked on this 'project', which details the girl wanted to keep hidden from her.
Having seen supplies like posterboards, glitter, along with other art essentials, she would have normally assumed it was an art assignment of sorts. The thing is however, she knew their schedules well enough that this shouldn't have been a precedent. She knew the girl to be forgetful in her excitement, but their lazy friend would have been a reminder if that was the case. Curious as she was however, privacy was something which she respected.
Whatever work was being put into these posters, it was evident that it was making the brunette sleep more than she usually would. It was also quite clear that what she was working on required numerous space. She was frankly interested in seeing this finished product, and what it would amount to, if the girl was working this hard.
Coming around the corner and towards the living room, the Saiyan was already awake and playing the entertainment she had. Although even while trying to ignore the excess noise, she couldn't detect any faint snoring, nor the sound of the brunette's voice, pondering to herself about whatever it was that she was working on this past week.
Peaking her head in, she saw only the sight of the young Saiyan, lying ontop of a blanket on the floor, tail waving as she played around. She hadn't been acknowledged in the slightest, as her gaze turned to where the brunette should have been, along with her materials. Gone. Which meant the girl had presumably finished and left elsewhere.
Quite earlier than the usual time she expected the brunette to wake up as well. Their mutual friend was likely also dragged with the girl, hours earlier from when their raven-haired friend would usually wake, with it being a weekend.
When those two would be back, she couldn't exactly say. As early as possible, if she had needed them, which she didn't. Otherwise, the brunette could be privy to staying out at the grocery store for several hours.
Still, the thought of this project lingered on her mind, as she made her way back upstairs and towards her room, after grabbing a few vials of blood for herself. There was no work to be done in regards to school, which meant she was able to entertain her future plans, and how to go about it. She still needed more human allies around, along with resources to go and pull from. Both were important and achievable, so long as she had looked out for the right opportunities.
Those who catered to her, she would have to at least see some potential in. While becoming a Vampire was an easy way to go and become strong, she wanted to take matters into her own hands, when it came to shaping a strong human.
Nothing but the best, was going to make its way to her ownership, which included the kind of people she would come to rely on, as it became more dangerous to explore the world. That was one of the consequences that came with possessing power. People could become fearful of what you were able to do and pull off, which was the exact kind of thing she wanted to take advantage of and manipulate. It certainly helped to already possess great strength at her current age.
There was always more to be gained however, even when she reached the point where it felt like she could no longer improve. Plans can be revised, and techniques sharpened even further. Speed was the one aspect she relied on the most when it came down to things, and what would lead her into achieving far more than someone who couldn't match her.
Cold to the touch, but getting warmer as she walked and lightly shook the vials of blood, she had passed the Majin's room, which was left completely wide open. The sight and lack of noise coming from within was an obvious indication her ally was in the gravity room, perhaps even with the Supidoan, who was more than happy to serve.
He was more alien looking than the rest who lived here, and while she appreciated his loyalty, he was a matter which she wished to avoid. Her tolerance for being around him, so far, was well less than the others she recruited.
Which was saying a lot, seeing as how the humans who resided here, should have made her sick from the humanity they showed on a daily basis. Instead, she found it more amusing than anything else, having those two around.
Uncapping the vial in her hand, as she walked into her room, she had quickly downed the contents, until there was nothing more left. B positive blood. It was sweet like most blood she tasted for herself, but the kind of feelings it welled up in her, she couldn't help but feel as if it was a great source of switching on her creative side.
Thoughts she had, were ones she felt became more organized, and were able to solve. But like a drug or the euphoria she experienced from going at a speed most wouldn't be able to keep up, these feelings weren't long lasting.
They slipped away from her grasp, one of the few things she was unable to have control of, as emotions could be a finicky thing. Though she was still in a much better mood than she had been before, and what thoughts she was able to gather, she could sort through now. Besides, there were still two more vials she was saving for later.
The effects wouldn't be as strong as this first dose, but it was well better than nothing. She sat at her work desk, placing the empty vial to the side, while the two others were kept inside the pocket in her jacket.
There was no journal she wrote in, just papers that could be easily discarded after its use. She saw no need in keeping records of her thoughts, when physical objects like these served as nothing more than a muse for her.
Made it less likely for anyone to read what she was up to, as she played with the thoughts in her mind, detailing the ways that certain scenarios could go wrong. For the most part, a central role of creating more resources of wealth to pool from, would involve having to do takeovers. Displays of power which could potentially bring out those she knew full well were above her own power, and hiding elsewhere. So many things could go wrong in such a scenario.
Her allies weren't nearly strong enough to overcome the kind of destruction that could be put on such a level. But they didn't really have to either. The way she had saw things, the things they currently specialized in, were assets she were to use. With the Saiyan, it would be stunning and bleeding those she had deemed to be their enemies.
Frozen in place from pain, or continuously bleeding out from wounds, would in theory allow her to go and deal out techniques that will take up quite a bit of her energy, but damage certain people enough to where they wouldn't be threats. The Majin and her ability to shift her body into mass would be good at both creating barriers and stunning.
Though she was certain the girl would have partway chosen to deal damage herself, from getting frustrated at having to take such damage. While the Supidoan, with his speed, should be quick enough to go and put up barriers, as well as heal. She couldn't see any issues coming from him, beyond him droning on with his stories, which should still served to be an advantage for those not adjusted to such things. Made him less annoying, though not really by much.
There were certain factors that she just couldn't see, as any scenario she could imagine, would nearly always have her to be at an advantage, though it was more of a development than she had before. When it came down to things, once areas were covered in both offense and defense, it would be up to willpower and careful use to achieve victory.
That sounded correct enough. Setting down her pen, and uncapping another vial, the contents were downed slower than the first had been. It wouldn't impact the duration in any way, but she wasn't trying to either. It was too early to train, so a source such as blood would do wonders when it came to giving her a pick me up when it came to her mood.
She was content, and the sweet taste ran along her mouth, making the desire to run her tongue along her retracted fangs, much too overpowering. This was one of the rewards for the kind of work she had put in to get such a supply.
The benefits that could come with discarding bits of humanity, one at a time. She had ready access of some of her desires, whenever she felt. Had an array of options available to her in what she wanted to become her outlet.
The kind of source she would pour all her frustrations into, and detailing what she hadn't yet been able to accomplish, because something that should have been so simple to obtain, just wasn't because of some factor.
This is what she believed to be true. That was what she had gathered as the blood she drank really sank in. Her mood had heightened however, as she felt familiar pressures in the area, and a few of which she wasn't acquainted with.
It wasn't a mistake to bring on these new presences. They knew better than to go and waste her time. But it also wasn't a sign of any kind of danger either. They should have also know to go and flare their ki for such a thing.
No, this was something that was intentional. What for however, is what interested her. The pressures she was feeling, headed into the mansion, with those who had already been around, appearing to have headed there as well.
It might have been by force when it came to the Saiyan, although the other two were more level-headed, and more willing to greet any guest they had, than to just go and wait. She could have rushed out and joined them, downing the last vial of blood she had picked for herself, before the contents had even gone, but she hadn't.
There was no danger to be had, and this guest of theirs was not one she had taken interest in on her own. Nor did they feel as though she would know them. Her descent down the stairs was one which had became used to how lively the mansion was nowadays, with the noise coming from the front door even now, being one she began to decipher.
"Of course they can handle it. I was able to."
"I...really ah...think we should have asked her first."
Both the brunette and their raven-haired mutual friend, were the two voices she had been able to notice first. There must have been an argument she had missed, either spoken by the Majin, or the younger Saiyan, both of who she imagined were eying these two guests. Not a surprise, since she wasn't feeling any significant power coming from them.
"That's right! Have hope that they can keep up with the best of us. Back when-"
"No, Hana's right. What about these two, would she like?"
The blue alien had clearly been the one whose voice rung out the next, patriotic as usual, as well as being accompanied by a tale that only he would find riveting. She heard the Majin's voice following after, which more than likely ruled the girl out into starting the argument, as the Saiyan's voice was one she hadn't yet heard.
Knowing her ally spoke rather short sentences, and could care less about most things, it wasn't one that was a surprise either. Still entertaining however, being able to piece things together. This was the back and forth that she had around her now. Snippets of what she chose to focus on rather than ignore, as one or more agreed or disagreed.
Reaching where they all were, she found them all in a circle, blocking the view of the guests, who must have been huddling down or something. She couldn't imagine those two would have really brought home beings who were that short.
Her gaze had glossed over what had apparently been a discarded banner, which had just been tossed to the floor without much care. Pretty typical of that lively girl to do. It was too folded for her to make out the words, but it had rather bold letters. The most surprising thing had been the writing, which was rather fanciful and detailed.
If each line of a letter had possessed just as much in it, than it was no wonder the girl seemed to be sleep deprived. There was perfection to be had, for what must have been done, and precision to get it looking that right.
"Lady Rukia!"
She knew the brunette to be a loyal one, and comparing her to the Supidoan, her enthusiasm was much more pleasant. Making her way past them, she found two humans wrapped around each other, as if they were desperately trying to protect each other from beasts. Though the difference was from being in such a pose, is that one had more confidence than the other, who was outright stricken with tears. A sight that left a dull thud near her chest, just watching.
"Go back to what you were doing before. I'll personally see to these two myself."
Dismissing them all with a wave of her hand, including the pair that had been out since this morning, having seen the brunette really question her word, she paid no mind to their departure. Her hand, pale as it had gotten since her transformation into a Vampire, had extended out to the two girls that were comforting each other.
Both of them had shivered a bit as they were pulled up, but it was the look of their eyes that she really paid mind to. The more lighter haired brunette had relief and comfort, while the pig-tailed redhead stopped sniveling, though seemed to be trying to hide herself behind her friend. These were the two the humans had brought back.
"It should be cool enough outside, shouldn't it? We can talk out there."
"Understood. We hope that you'll find we can serve you well."
This brunette, spoke entirely for the red-head, which she found some resemblance from the lively one they seemed to both know, though this was entirely more polite. Her friend had only nodded along, as they opened and closed the doors behind them, stepping out onto the grassy terrain. The sight of abandoned buildings greeted them as they walked out, as well as shade from much taller, but older buildings. Not the perfect place to be, though that would change.
"Ah, I'm Asuka by the way, and this is Mayu."
Quick to remember something like an introduction was a good thing. Saved her the time from wasting her words. Though what she had said to her was still a bit presumptuous, even if they were under assumptions that were likely imposed.
"Whatever Ayumi had tell you, I won't rule out that it isn't possible, but what she and the others said are right. This will be a difficult time for you. And I'd imagine especially for your friend, if you plan on speaking for her."
"She said that in exchange for us cooking, you can eventually turn us into Vampires."
The girl had bowed, a bit less sure of herself, but still holding more confidence than her friend apparently had. Though if this was really what Ayumi had assumed of her, then these two really had nothing to worry for. Still, she couldn't help but be amused that she had this kind of power over those she invited over to the mansion.
How exciting. Placing an arm around the brunette's shoulder, and causing her friend to flinch in alarm, she had led the two around the mansion, which would be a rather short walk that should fit what they needed to talk about.
"If that was what you were told, than let me start by telling you the kind of dishes I would like served."
The last vial she had kept on her person, she had downed completely, not wasting a single drop. To them, it must have smelled like rust, which should have made clear exactly what she was drinking, should either of the two have any doubts about what she was. Hesitation wasn't one which she was pleased with.
Though her decision was already well done and made, as who would turn down the offer of having chefs?
