Nasu woke up a few hours before the sun rise, on the harsh cold north, on Yunzabit Highlands. His eyes slowly opened. He was feeling like his body was a little numb, but not hurt. He felt rested enough, like he had just slept for a whole day or something. The first thing he saw was the snow. He was resting on top of the snow field, down on the ground, near the place his furious Great Ape form had pounded a hill until it became a crater, a little before he managed to start attaining control over the monstrous form. The young saiyan warrior was still a little dizzy and his memories seemed rather foggy as he put his hands on the ground, slowly pushing his body upwards, until he managed to get on his four limbs, still too close to the cold snow. His body was also shaking a little bit from being exposed to the cold ground for so long, and his tail felt almost as it was frozen. The rest of his body was sort of protected by his battle suit and jumpsuit. He was heavily breathing and it felt like he hadn’t done so in a while, as his lungs expanded with a slight burn inside them. He raised his head a little bit with alerted eyes; he was still all alone there, which was good. He stared around the place with narrowed eyes from one side to another, until a sudden blink of self-awareness struck him like a jolt of lightining. His eyes widened and his brows arched at the same time, while his face managed to crack an excited grin. His heart skipped a beat, and he had trouble gulping as his whole body was now shaking. ”This… I’ve… Yeah… I…” the young saiyan warrior couldn’t even find the words inside his head. He started panting and sweat immediately started running down his temples. Nasu started chuckling a little bit before closing his eyes and forcing himself to remember the exact point where he attained control over his might transformation. ”It was like… A glimpse of light… Slowly… Slowly spreading it’s light through all of my consciousness…” he thought to himself, chuckling a little bit more as his mind managed to remember everything after that point, confirming to him that his full power, unleashed by the moonlight, was totally his to control and use! His revenge was about to be attained!
With that thought, he knew he had no time to waste and immediately managed to push himself up, getting back on his feet. He was feeling tired, indeed, but that wouldn’t stop him! Like hell it would! He needed to continue, as he didn’t want to give his foes time to get even stronger! He had to rush towards the mastery of yet another tool that was necessary in order to defeat that fearsome albino saiyaness, Atsuko, her lapdog, Bernael and that annoying slugman that defied him twice! Oh! And he couldn’t forget to put that blue-haired hybrid in a tight spot and force him to finally choose where his allegiance would stand. ”Yeah! You helped me a few times, but you also attacked me, and even my brother! Don’t push your luck too far, Jarvis… I’m not that forgiving!” he growled and then smiled. Nasu took a very deep breath and flared his ghostly-white ki aura around his body, flying immediately after, heading at his top speed, straight towards the southern island, where he would start the second part of his training under the tutelage of his father’s hard-light hologram.
It took him hours to get there, but he didn’t mind too much, the important thing was that he had arrived. He didn’t even care about hunger or thirst, the only thirst he had right now was for power. When he got into the lab, Natto’s ghost immediately appeared and didn’t took him long to notice that Nasu looked like shit and that meant that he had just understood the final virtue of his teachings. Without the need for words, Nasu showed his father’s ghost the scroll and smirked with the corner of his mouth, and Natto responded with a nod. – Then, my son, we shall start your true training on this old training dojo of mine! – he said, and Nasu felt shivers running down his spine with excitement. – So, how do we start, dad? – he asked, unable to hide how thrilled he was. – Throw some punches, kiddo! – Natto said. Nasu arched one of his eyebrows, but didn’t think too much on that and nodded, throwing a punch.
– Not good! Too much force on your shoulder and too little on your hips! You need to fix that! You waste your strength like that! – Natto corrected, surprising Nasu, that immediately tried to get it right, altering the posture and the way he did the attack, punching in different ways, in order to find the most effective way to punch to have a maximum output of both destructive force and swiftness. He spent almost an hour in that rhythm, with his father guiding him at every step. - You need to use the largest knuckle of your fore finger in a vertical alignment with the second knuckle of your pinky finger! That way you can line up the bones in your whole arm and, thus, create a faster, more stable and more powerful strike! – he said. Nasu growled in frustration due to the difficulty but kept on trying until he managed to do it! The young saiyan warrior stared at his clenched fist aligned in that position in awe: his punch was much swifter and powerful now! And the confirmation came shortly afterwards with his father’s words. - That’s it! That’s exactly what I was looking for! With such a technique you will be able to defeat your enemies with easet!! – and the digital ghost chuckled, with a prideful smile on his face. Nasu smiled with those words, nut that was just the beginning of his training in order to learn that fighting style, and now he was more motivated than ever before.
The Soy School style relied on a mad physical strength, a trait related to Natto’s saiyan blood and background. The deceased master had learned the principles of this fighting style with both his father, Douchi, when he was a kid, and further developed such concept with his brother, Miso, Nasu’s uncle, who relied solely on brutal strength to overwhelm his opponents, which the young saiyan could attest when he was still a kid, being brutally defeated by Miso. Natto didn’t give Nasu a very long rest. – Well, enough rest, kid… Let’s start with the attacks using your arms, okay? – he said to Nasu, who responded by cracking his neck at the same time he cracked both his fists, feeling ready. – Bring it on, old man! What are we going to start with?! – he asked, and the next training was the elbow strikes.
There was two main ways to attack using the elbow: the first and most obvious one was to deliver an elbow strike straight in, with the pointy part of the bone, making it function as a more deadly version of a punch, since the area of impact was smaller, and it used pretty much the same amount of strength. – Let me teach you one little secret about elbow strikes that I’ve learned in a spare with your mother! – he said. Nasu arched one of his eyebrows. – With mom? Now that’s interesting! – the young saiyan said. Natto proceeded to explain on how he used his body to increase the power output at the same time that he made the attack more stable, without sacrificing his speed. By holding the left clenched fist with the right hand, he was able to put some more stability on the attack, while both the arms would be responsible for delivering the strike, making it a way more powerful, without any sacrifice to the swiftness of the attack. Nasu was awestruck by that. – I’ve never imagined that! – he exclaimed, impressed by his father skills, before he started trying the attack until the digital ghost was fully satisfied. – Okay! Let’s go for some variants… - Natto said, nodding to himself a couple times.
The experienced warrior explained to his son that a true warrior had to conquer the eight-directional movements to make sure he would be able to fight multiple opponents at once, and, when fighting a single combat, the fighter would be able to deliver blows from all sides, surprising and consequently overwhelming his foe. Attacking with an elbow from the sides in a circular movement was a quite interesting tool to have. It wasn’t restricted to the sides; it could also be used like an uppercut, and like a sledgehammer in a 12-6 elbow shot, that was very dangerous and deadly. - But how could someone achieve the maximum efficiency of such movement? – he asked Nasu, with a smirk on the corner of his mouth. - Well… - Nasu tried to answer but nothing came to his mind and his own inexperience made him blush. – Hahaha! Then, to work! Follow my instructions! – and Nasu nodded in response, taking a deep breath as his body was beginning to get tired, due to the weighted battle suit.
After about an hour, Nasu learned a basic principle: If he were to deliver a circular elbow with his fists clenched, the impact would be intense, since he had strong muscles on his arms, and his bones were hardened enough to cause some serious damage. However, this damage would, like it was expected, be solely a concussion attack; however, if he wore to attack with his hand opened, without contracting the muscles, his muscles wouldn’t interfere much with the strike and, while I diminished the potency of the strike, it made possible to hit mostly with the bone, which made it acquire some cutting potential, causing it to be able to cause lacerations to his opponents, which was a very interesting ace on his sleeves to have. Causing lacerations could really come in hand during a fight, since a bleeding eyebrow could hinder the eyesight of the enemy and thus leave him a way more vulnerable to incoming attacks. Other than that, bleeding was always dangerous, since if it becomes too intense, someone can die due to lack of sufficient blood. – Damn! I never thought I could use my elbows like that, father! That’s… Incredible! How did you learn that?! – he stood there in awe as he learned the secret skills of his father’s style. Natto laughed quite a lot with that question. – Experience, kid… Experience. – and that made a lot of sense to Nasu, since he knew his father, before becoming the leader of a very large and powerful faction, had been a commander of the Saiyan Empire. He was a legend, after all, and he was lucky to be learning from him.
The next attack he trained was the clothesline, which was some sort or variant of his father’s signature technique, the lariat. The clothesline is a move where the user runs towards his target and, by getting close to it, he extends his arm out from the side line of the body and parallel to the ground, with the goal of hitting the opponent mainly in the neck, but the chest is also an option, knocking him over. The young saiyan warrior tried it against a dummy nearby until his father was satisfied with the result. Still on the upper body attack training, Nasu continued with the signature technique, the lariat, that consisted on running towards an opponent, wrapping his arm around their upper chest and neck, an then forcing it to the ground. The similarity to the clothesline end when the arm during the lariat is used to actually hit the opponent, instead of keeping the arm straight and attacking with the movement of the body. It was a very effective strike to leave the opponent with his guard opened as he lay on the ground, susceptible to some intense and painful ground and pound, with clubs, hammers and elbow strikes. Nasu even trained to use a reverse lariat that was a more dangerous variation of the attack, since it targeted the back of the opponent’s neck and shoulder, possibly breaking the neck on the process. – Now I get it why you like this technique so much! It’s really useful! – he said, panting heavily due to the intense, non-stopping training. Natto nodded in response. – You can also perform the lariat without the need of running toward the opponent, by holding the back of his head with the other hand, while performing the lariat of a spin of the hips to generate the necessary force for the efficacy of the strike. Therefore, the lariat is more of a finishing move, while the clothesline was a regular attack. – Natto explained, showing how good it was to defeat the enemy quick and clean.
There was also the hammers, consisting of using both hands together, to usually strike with the back of the hand, delivering an enormously strong blow to the opponent with a swing of the arms. This attack was quite versatile, as it could aim at pretty much any part of the foe’s body. However, among all hammers the one favored by the Soy School was the sledgehammer. Nasu trained it by launching boulders he grabbed from the tunnel that lead to the secret training dojo to the air and, as they reached a high enough altitude, he used all his speed to vanish, reappearing behind the boulder and hitting it hard with both his hands coming from above his head. - With that, you will be able to launch your opponents into the ground, like a rocket. It’s a very powerful attack! – Natto said, as his son destroyed the boulders to pieces. To be honest, he was angered that he wasn’t able to turn the boulders to dust, but his power was cut to a fourth due to the weights, so he decided to focus more on the positive side. ”Screw that… At least my skill is improving at an amazing fast pace!” he thought to himself, as he continued for a long time, until Natto’s ghost was satisfied. After that, Natto ordered him to go back and repeat everything he had trained so far, until he started to do it better and faster. This repetitions lasted for hours, until Nasu felt to his knees, all covered in sweat with his body on the point of breaking down. – Dad!... Arrf… Arrrf… I need to rest… I… I can’t do it anymore… Just… A few minut.. – and then he fainted due to exhaustion. Nasu was doing his very best, and that was the proof.
When he woke up, almost twelve hours later, his body was completely sore and he was dizzy. On top of that, he was hungry. Natto’s ghost appeared as soon as the computer managed to read that Nasu was awake. – Nasu, you need to eat something before we continue. Go outside, this island is full of creatures that you can hunt. Try taking them down with one of the techniques you’ve learned and come back soon, okay? We need to continue your training. – Nasu answered quickly, as he slowly got back on his feet. – Don’t worry… I assure you that I’m committed to this training to the core. I will be back as soon as possible, but indeed, I need to eat, otherwise I won’t be able to withstand it for a single minute… - and his stomach confirmed by growling out loud.
When he reached the island, he managed to find a goat that he quickly killed with a 12-6 type of elbow strike to the head, instantly shattering its skull, even though he avoided using much of his strength, since he didn’t want to make a mess with the creature. – Swift, quick and deadly! – he said to himself, feeling rather excited with the accomplishment, already feeling the benefits of the training. The young saiyan warrior quickly built a campfire and put the goat in an improvised barbecue grill made of green wood from the trees nearby. Then, he sit in front of the fire, while drinking water from a lake nearby. ”This fighting style is truly amazing… I spent all these years ignoring it, and now I’ve finally realize how much time I’ve wasted. But there’s no use crying over spilled milk! I’m doing my very best to master it while the week of the full moon is still running. If I can’t manage to fully master it, then I will settle to a high degree of knowledge. It must be enough. From what’ve seen, those fools fight following their guts, and are not versed in any particular martial arts. Even that Gorilla girl, despite claiming to be a true martial artist, is just another clown claiming to know something she doesn’t. I shouldn’t be worried about it! With my Great Ape form and my polished technique, my vengeance will be accomplished! I know that!” and that thought ade him smile, remembering the important fights that led him to seek this knowledge. ”First, there was that fight with the annoying human girl and the slugman pest. Then when that vegetean whore appeared… I can’t forget about the time I’ve met that soft-hearted Kold demon when Jarvis fucking attacked me by surprise, nor about the time they all tried to tag team against Komatsu with the doppelganger of the annoying blond saiyaness bitch! And, of course, the clash against the saiyaness and her demon lapdog on that stupid place! I’m gonna destroy that shit for sure! And they will mourn the day they stood in my way!” he thought to himself, staring at the campfire.
Finally his meal was ready to be eaten properly and he attacked it like a savage beast. Nasu was far more polite than that, but he hadn’t eat in quite a while, ever since he had his Great Ape Mastery training, and the huge hunger that he had made him forget any notions of etiquette whatsoever, and he just ripped parts of the roasted creature with his bare hands and then proceeded to shove it inside his mouth, quickly chewing it before swallowing a piece almost too large for his throat, that needed water to help pushing it down. He ate the whole creature, and when he finished, he slapped his belly twice, laughing. – Now that’s a nice meal! A creature that I hunted myself! Way better than that stupid food these earthling sell on their stores! Although I have to admit… Noodles… They are damn good! Well… Guess even pieces of shit like them can get it right sometimes! – he said as he laid down on the barely grassed ground near the water, putting his hands behind the back of his head, and closing his eyes. He had his advanced red scouter on, in case someone decided to pay him an unexpected visit. Luckily, no one came, and he was able to rest peacefully for a short while. He wanted to rest for far longer, but he couldn’t waste any more time. Still, resting was important to restore his stamina, otherwise the training wouldn’t be fruitions.
After about an hour and a half, Nasu opened his eyes, staring at the skies that were starting to be painted red by the dusk making him smile, remembering his home planet. The young saiyan warrior got near the lake, drank plenty of water, and ate some fruits on the trees nearby; just to have something on his belly, as he got ready to go back to the underground training facility, to where his father’s digital ghost waited for continuing his teaching. Flaring his ghostly-white ki aura, he flew like a lightning bolt through the skies, leaving a trail of white ki energy behind him as he scratched the crimson skies of Earth’s dusk. It took him but seconds to reach the ruins of the training dojo, using all his speed, as he was still restrained by the weighted battle suit. When he got there, he landed in between the ruins of the once impressive building and stared around for a bit. ”I need to fix it sometime… And show those earhtlings that my father’s legacy won’t be erased by any of them! Maybe I will do it once I finish with the Kami’s troop!” he thought, sighing deeply, as he remembered once again about the fight they had on the Lookout. To destroy that place on his Great Ape form wasn’t going to be very difficult, and he had a few things on his mind in order to accomplish that, but before he could think about it any further, he shook his head from one side to the other.
– I will have plenty of time to plan this once I attain this technique. So… Done with wasting time! – he reprehended himself and immediately headed to the training facility. Once there, Natto’s ghost appeared and required him to repeat a whole session of the previous training, Nasu sighed in bother. – Really?! I want to proceed with the training, father! I want to master it soon! – he said in a hasty tone, but Natto shook his head. – Haste will get you nowhere in Martial Arts, Nasu! Be patient! – and with those words, they started the training. Nasu focused on repeating the training he did previously, in order to make them become more natural. Due to being getting used to it, he managed to finish them to his father’s heart contempt in about two hours and now it was about time to start practicing his kicks and knee strikes, and all the lower half of his body. They could be really “handful”, despite the fact that Nasu wasn’t really fond of using his legs in combat; he favored his arms, but his father would soon show him just how important it was to be versatile.
The first one was the most basic front kick, consisting of raising the knee and foot, with his fingers stretched until the desired height and then extending it as fast and strong as possible, delivering the blow with the ball of the foot on the frontal strikes. The Soy School style involved quite a lot of body motion, since he was inclined to use the strength of the body was a whole, instead of the sole strength of his limb. It taught to use a slight hip trust, therefore increasing both the reach and the power of the kick. The young saiyan warrior trained quite a lot of front kicks, in order to get the correct balance, avoiding opening his guard while kicking as well as the right amount of trusting with the hip, since he didn’t want to lose speed. It took him almost an hour to reach a desirable kick. – Yes, that’s it! – Natto exclaimed, and Nasu smiled, and, after about one hour he was able to easily repeat the one his father considered ideal.
After that, he started training the side kick, which was a quite versatile technique. The School’s variation of side kick consisted of also using the edge of the foot to strike, along with the lower part of the toes that pulled back. The kick was delivered sideways in relation to the body of the young saiyan warrior, and was quite adaptable, as it could be used as both an offensive move and as a defensive counter to a blitzing enemy. There was also a variation involving a somehow inverted side kick, using as impact point the heel of the foot, being that sort of side kick more suited to attack hard targets such as the ribs, head and chest. Other than that, the body movement was performed mainly by chambering the kicking leg diagonally across the body, then extending it in linear fashion towards the target, with attention as to flex the abdominals, in order to use the body’s whole strength instead of just the limb.
- That’s becoming nice! But a warrior needs to have more ways to do it… Range of technique is just as important as the efficacy of it… So let’s try something else, while keeping the side kick in mind! – he told Nasu, who stared at his father with a quite curious expression on his face. ”How can he do that? When I think that we are about to be done, he comes up with a ton of new things! Heh… But that’s precisely what I need, so I won’t complain anymore! The more intense it gets, the better!” he decided, as he leaned another way of doing the side kick, making it a somehow fake roundhouse kick. It was something like a feint, as one of its points was to make someone believe it was another attack. It consisted of a kick that started like a roundhouse kick, however Nasu allowed his heel to move towards the center of the body, changing the direction of the kick to an outward instead of from a cross-leg chamber, so the final destination was the target to the side, rather than one that is directly ahead. It was a quite difficult variation of the side kick, and took Nasu almost an hour to achieve some degree of skill on that. At the end of that, he was already panting heavily, but Natto wouldn’t stop the training right there and demanded that Nasu continued, to which the young saiyan warrior nodded in agreement, doing his very best to ignore how tired he was.
Following that principle, as soon as he got to an acceptable level of skill, Natto nodded to him, smirking on the corner of his mouth. – Okay, kid, you earned it! Now to the main dish, the actual roundhouse kick! – he said. – Roundhouse kick? Yeah, I was hit by that a few times! It’s an annoying technique, so… Yeah! About time I learn it right! Heh! – he answered, feeling shivers running down his spine with both excitement and rage, as he remembered about the time Tau hit him with that technique twice. Anyway, the School’s way to strike it was to bring up the knee, and then swiftly turning the hips over and snapping the leg outwards from the knee to deliver a strike with the ball of the foot, since Natto believed that using such a part was a way more effective and less dangerous to his body, instead of the shin. The young saiyan warrior applied quite a lot of rotation to the hip, to enhance its strength, as well as sinking his weight on the target, creating a more bludgeoning power. His main targets were the neck and the head, but it could also be used against other parts of the body. But for those other parts, Natto would favor using the shin. – I like it because it also affects the balance of the opponent! – he pointed out, and Nasu took a mental note of that.
Since it was a very powerful attack, it could very well be used targeting lower areas of the body, with the goal of crippling the foe with its heavy hits. There was also the back roundhouse kick variation, this time spinning the body to the opposite side and hitting with the heel, instead of the ball of the foot or the shin, which was quite deadly too. Since there wasn’t much to improve from the previous attack, Nasu only spent about forty five minutes training that kick, before moving forward with his training.
The next part of the training was quite thrilling: high jump kicks. For someone able to fly, the flying kick was quite a tool, as the user could harvest all the qualities of it at the same time being immune to its flaws. He could even connect several flying kicks while hovering in the air, allowing for some serious combo outputs. Flying gave him the advantage of being able to rely not only with the traditional jump kick, but also to deliver side kicks, inverted side kicks, roundhouse kicks, and back roundhouse kicks, without opening his guard to his foes. He could even use the hips without any downside to that, since it wouldn’t leave him adrift in the air. Therefore, since there wasn’t much to improve, he didn’t waste much time on that category either, skipping immediately to the brutal stomp. – I didn’t even know how useful kicks were, dad… I feel rather foolish now… - he frowned his brows, clenching his fists after his father finished explaining all of that. Natto smiled at his son with a caring expression. – It doesn’t matter, Nasu. What matters is that you are learning it now, and I’m really proud of how hard you are trying! I know you are tired and that those weights are a bother. Believe me! When I started creating this fighting style I was wearing weights too! – those words made Nasu’s anger disappeared, as he was once again awestruck by the statement. – Really?! You were?! – and Natto nodded. – Yeah! I used weighted armor for quite a while before I reformed it and gave it to your mother. I used it until a few weeks after I managed to attain my super saiyan form. – and that made Nasu gulp. Truth be told, he was looking forward getting rid of the weights sooner, but if his father had endured so much, he would feel really ashamed to give up anytime sooner. ”Damn! I need to be more persistent. I guess my saiyan blood is more inclined to real battles than training… But as far as experience tells, I was gonna die sooner or later in battle with my current power and skill… I better start loving training as much as dad…” he motivated himself, closing his eyes and taking a very deep breath before continuing his training.
Then he started going for a stomp, consisting on a downward strike, using the heel of the foot, before somersaulting forward, using the spin of the body to generate force and momentum to land an impressive destructive blow, aiming at either a standing opponent or a downed one while targeting the head or the shoulder. The spin should generate enough force to allow him to shatter the skulls or the shoulder of his foes, and as he tried the strikes on some stones he got from the pathway, he managed to shatter the first one to pieces, and as he improved his aim and the correct amount of spinning, he managed to shatter them to dust, even though he was still wearing his weights. ”It’s really more about skill than pure strength!” he took a mental note. Flying also helped with correcting the spinning, as he had full control of his body movement, even when he was in the air, which was quite handy.
For the last part of his training on that day, before starting repeating all over again, until his body asked him to stop, he would train the sweep. That wasn’t very effective, as most people he was supposed to fight knew how to fly, but it could still catch some opponent off guard, so he trained it. There was plenty of ways to do a sweep and the Soy School implemented quite a lot of them to his range of techniques, such as the drop sweep, consisting of a spinning and sweeping of both of the foe’s legs; the single-leg sweep, used as a counter to an opponent kicking, while staying on only one foot, that was usually done by crouching and then landing the blow to the opponents support leg; and the more powerful forward sweep, that aimed at the front of the enemy’s legs, being a more lethal variation, since it could very well break the target’s knees or shins. When he was satisfied practicing it the sweeps, he started doing everything all over again, and again, and again, until hours after the nightfall, when he became too tired and hungry to keep on training. – Arff… T-that’s it. I can’t… Need rest… Arff… Arff… – he told his father, that nodded in agreement. – That’s alright, Nasu, you don’t need to say it like that! You are doing great! One more day, just to get throught the details, and then you are done with this first part of the practical training! – Natto said, with a proud smile on his face. – R-really?! – he asked in disbelief, as he had been longing for those words for quite a while. – Really! – Natto said, chuckling a little bit with the funny face an almost desperate Nasu was making. – Of course we will still need to train blocking and dodging, but as far as offensive goes, you are pretty much all set! – he finished, before the digital ghost vanished in order to save power from the already way too old computer of the ruined training dojo’s underground facility. With that, Nasu got back on the outer part of the island, repeating what he did before: hunting an animal, grilling it, eating it, only this time he would actually have a long night of sleep instead of a simple nap.
When he woke up, he was feeling way better than when he had awakened from the nap! His body was refreshed and he was quick to eat the remaining of the goat for breakfast. He was far more polite this time and took his time eating it, as he allowed his body to recover a little bit more. ”Okay… One more day, just to get through the details, and then I can say I’m all set and ready to attack them. Well… Maybe I will have an extra day of training tomorrow… I can still spare it! Haha… If I attack on the last day of the full moon, maybe they will be unprepared, believing that I just gave up! Yeah… The element of surprise would be a plus, but it doesn’t matter! The way I am right now will surprise them nonetheless! And they will suffer! Hahaha!” he laughed as he finished eating, and the got back to the training facility to resume his training.
Natto’s ghost appeared as soon as he stepped into the run, and before he could even start speaking, Nasu folded his arms and cracked a conceited grin. – I know, I know! Repeat what I did the previous time, until you give your approval! – Nasu said, to which Natto responded by chuckling and shaking his head. – The same attitude my records says… You barely changed! – the hard-light hologram said. – I’m a saiyan, after all! – Nasu shrugged and then got ready to start the final training of this phase of the Soy School teachings.
The only real shame was that he couldn’t actually train effective blocking techniques, since, without a real opponent, it was but a sketch of the real thing, but nonetheless, he at least trained its form along with the punches, kicks, lariats, clotheslines, grapples and takedowns. It would still require him some real life experience with a living opponent to consolidate what he had learned of the Soy School fighting style, but he was doing the best he could in the current situation, and also getting ready to apply it in a real fight to the dead that would soon take place on the Lookout on the Western Lands. When he succeeded testing it with Atsuko and her comrades, then, just like a diamond, he would be polishing every day, climbing the stairs towards improvement, seeking the impossible to attain perfection one step at the time.
After he finished repeating all the previous training, which took him long five hours, it was about time to train the specific skills of the Soy School, starting with the melee techniques. – The first one, Flash Spirit! It’s a rush attack, as you may remember! – Natto said, and Nasu confirmed he indeed remember with a nod, before his father continued. - You will need to charge toward your opponent as fast as possible and elbow the target on the face! After your initial attack connects, you will need to immediately use your hips to deliver a powerful kick, sending your opponent away, understood? – he asked, and Nasu nodded. – I believe I do! – and then he proceed to train it over and over again. The tricky part was hitting the kick immediately after the elbow strike, as the first strike already started sending the enemy away. He had to be swift and fast, using his whole body movement in synch. Nasu had to keep on repeating it for an hour in order to get it right the first time, and for another hour in order to polish it enough so that Natto was satisfied. When he finished it, he was already tired as hell, but his father didn’t give him a break.
– Next, Rebellion Spear! You will need to charge your ki aura, but not the regular one! You will need to infuse it with your offensive ki! Try doing that! – Natto said, making Nasu feel rather confused. – But what about the technique? – he asked, but Natto cut him short. – Just accomplish it first! – his tone was filled with authority and Nasu didn’t complain. The young saiyan warrior soon found out that it was harder than he had anticipated and it took him about two hours to be able to change his naturally ghostly-white ki aura by infusing it with his energy, since it was like charging a ki blast with all of his body. When he managed to finally accomplish that, his ki aura became light blue in color and felt rather powerful. – I-impressive! – the young saiyan warrior exclaimed. – That’s it! With that, you can use your body as a weapon using a simple movement such as charging against you opponent, dealing serious damage! This is the Rebellion Spear! – Natto explained, and Nasu nodded. ”My whole body as a Spear… This is fearsome! Imagine when I use it with my Great Ape form! Hahaha! They won’t even see this coming!” he thought, completely excited by the possibility.
– Now, to finish this training, I will trust you with my most famous technique: The Spirit Cannon. – Natto said, leaving Nasu speechless! The Spirit Cannon, along with the Shine Trigger, were Natto’s most powerful attacks, and although the youngling had managed to learn the Shine Trigger by watching his father, the Spirit Cannon remained a mystery that was only now being exposed to him. Nasu had to try using it plenty of times. His tiredness was the main obstacle right now, as he was far better in learning ki attacks than melee. However, after about two hours, he managed to replicate his father signature technique, firing a powerful energy sphere that blew a hole in one of the walls of the training facility. Natto’s ghost laughed in pride. – Hahaha! I guess you are becoming too strong to keep on training in such a close space… And for the final techniques we will need an open environment, or you might nuke this small room and get yourself killed… But you are still not ready for that. – he said. Nasu frowned and felt a will to complain, but he soon remembered that his time was running low, and that the next part of the training would require days, and he couldn’t waste the full moon, so he decided not to complain, and just nod. – I understand… So, when shall I return? – he asked. – Return when you feel that this part of your training is mature. But let me just tell you something: Now that you finished this, your mind is much stronger! You will notice that your mind won’t be so easily dominated by mental attacks! That’s one of the main traits of the Soy School, remember? The third virtue… - before Natto could finish speaking, Nasu nodded to himself and spoke. – Mental Endurance. – the young saiyan said, closing his eyes and noticing that he had indeed matured since the start of his training, both physically and mentally. Natto’s ghost started vanishing, but before it completely disappeared, it uttered a few more words. – I’m proud of you. Don’t waste what you are learning with foolishness… Get back when you feel ready. – and those words left a bitter taste on Nasu’s mouth: was his revenge a fool’s act? Was his father’s ghost seeing through him and that was the reason it asked Nasu to mature before coming back? He felt unsure, but quickly his proud took over again and he shook his head.
– To hell with that! My revenge is important! It isn’t foolish! I won’t be second thinking myself! – he roared to himself, as he left the training facility, heading straight back to his cavern. He had to rest for the rest of the day and do just one more training in order to prepare for the battle to come. Once he finished that next training, Earth would tremble with his power, and the Lookout would be vanished from it, with Atsuko and her allies resting defeated. Nasu gritted his teeth when he had such thought. – Dead! Not defeated! Why did you picture them still alive?! Dammit! I can’t get soft like dad… I just can’t! – he complained to himself, as he left a trail of white ki energy behind him.
The first part of the practical training was done and he had mastered the basic and intermediate level of his father’s school techniques!
