A ship invisible to everyone was entering the atmosphere of Earth. Tomina had managed to track Carva and Rensu to this location. Unfortunately, this was where things were going to get tricky. <I know they landed in this region somewhere. My ki sensing range is rather limited. I need to learn how to extend it further. But there’s no time for that right now. Earth! Of all the places they could have gone, they went to the one place where that the Alliance insists on protecting all the time. EARTH!!!>
Tomina’s ship touched down on an island, landing the outskirts of one of the major cities in the region. Tomina took extra care to make sure that no one would spot her. Once it was all clear, Tomina walked out of her ship, then put it in a capsule. Once her ship was stored away, Tomina flew towards the city, flying low to the ground so no one would spot her. She knew that they had landed in their region somewhere, but she had to locate them. It was likely that they had gone into one of the major cities in the region. It was as good a place to start as any.
Tomina ended up searching the whole city for about half an hour, but found no trace of the duo anywhere. Either they were suppressing their powers as much as she was, or she was nowhere near them. As she walked through the bustling streets, Tomina weighed her options in her head. <If they are hiding, then it will be really hard to track them with the level of sensing I have. Trying to lure them out by raising my ki would be suicide. Besides, they’re likely worried about my wrath, and rightfully so. Fucking hell!>
Tomina decided to think over her options harder. She sat down on a bus bench, going over all the options she had in her head. Most if not all of them were all risky plans. As she was thinking about how to proceed, a gust of wind blew a newspaper against her leg. Out of curiosity, Tomina reached down and opened it up. Most of it was boring inconsequential human things. But right in the paper was an add for a martial arts program. The person listed owning it was….
<Flare?! She’s just teaching her own martial arts? If she’s here, then that means…>
Tomina grinned, standing up with the newspaper clutched in her hand. Suddenly she had an idea on how to find her two squad members without risking herself and them in the process. It would take a little bit of time, but unless they got into a fight, she wouldn’t be able to do anything other than aimlessly look. This was a much more solid plan. Tomina was coming to the place known as the Kindle.
A short while later, she found herself at the manor. Tomina strode forward, entering the ground of the mansion. She took in the decor around her. She passed the fire fountain, and noted the the burning orbs that served as illumination. Tomina was actually impressed by this. <Well if nothing else, Flare has excellent taste in decor. I might take inspiration from this and do similar modifications to my mansion. Because this is a work of art.>
Tomina then reached door to the mansion, and rang the doorbell. She waited there, still clutching the newspaper in her hand. Hopefully she would be able to get what she needed here without having to resort to violence. The last thing she needed was to attract attention.
Auntie was fine just keeping to herself for the day. She was in the kitchen, making a nice pan full of her signature sweet rolls. An old classic to ease the stress. It had been quite the rough week for her and the family. Flare's incident and her own with the god king jarvis was sure traumatic in the end. She'd been spared the more violating aspects of that lusting blue haired prick, but all the same he did toy with them all. Every single one of them. Some required a lot more healing from the mental abuse. Auntie here, after physically recovering, seemed to be just fine.
The servants were being left off while everything was being fixed and mended. So Auntie was back there alone fixing a meal for the whole team. Everything was pretty quiet for a while. She could make the best of the silence for a while but soon was disturbed the the knocking of the door. Now, usually, if it were an uninvited guest a house servant would have been there to answer the door. And in such a case as this she definitely wasn't receiving official visits. Though something was off. She couldn't sense the presence of anyone near the door. Or outside the premise for that matter. She stopped her baking and second guessed herself, wondering mentally if that was in her head. No way it was, too loud of a ring back in the kitchen area. The old caretaker went ahead and left her stuff behind to go fetch the door for the visitor.
Auntie cautiously went to the door and peeked through its one way spy hole. To hr relief it just seemed like a younger girl. Thought there was a bit of a suspicion in the fact she actually gave off nothing at all. Suppression at its finest. The old woman was no stranger to that. With Flare and them being here though she doubted whoever this was was going to make such a bit deal out of it. A few locks click on the door before the big thing swung open to half reveal an older lady hold it just open enough to see her and part of the lobby behind her.
"Hello miss. Is there something I can do for you?" She looked to be easily in her fifties, if not more, starting to show signs of frailty but her power was still quite extraordinary for a human. She seemed to be a bit weary of the girl's presence, looking up and down her to see if she was hiding anything. Sure enough, a rolled poster was grasped in her hands. Thought she couldn't really make out that it was anything to do with Flare's school just by looking at it.
"I'm sorry but we don't do real estate here. We don't buy cookies and we most certainly are not looking for a 'innovative device'. I dunno what you're hiding but we aren't taking." She was being a bit coy, even smiling half ways. Shew wasn't made aware of who she was quite yet. Tomina

The door opened to reveal a fairly old looking woman. Well, she looked old to Tomina anyway. Saiyans didn’t show their age until the very end of their life span. Since every Saiyan she knew died an early death, she had never actually seen anything resembling an old Saiyan. Tomina held up the newspaper in front of the old woman's face.
“Flare must be almost as senile as you are if she hired you as her butler. I mean, you must be senile, since you forgot that she put ads out in the paper.”
Tomina opened the newspaper to where Flare’s ad was, and held it right in front of Tabithia’s face. She shook, and waved it in front of her.
“Do you remember now? Flare is inviting people over to learn martial arts training. And I figured I might as well check it out while I’m here. I’ve heard some interesting things about her.”
Tomina lowered the paper, staring at the old woman with her sea-blue eyes. Was she being rude to her? Oh yes, she was being very rude to her. Tomina would act and talk however she wished though, as long as she didn’t risk exposing herself. She would get into that mansion, whether the old woman would let her or not.
Auntie blinked at the girl before realizing just how serious she took the remark from this old woman. There was plenty wrong with that the girl assumed, straight off, like that blue god guy that wrecked her front entrance the last time around. She continued being rather abrasive, shoving the paper in her face. Whenever the girl decided to lower it back Auntie had to get out a short cackle, shaking her head.
"Now now, no need to scold me. I'm just weary of guests who either bust the door in or hide themselves in plain sight. Do come in though. And call me Auntie if you will, I'm Flare's momma."" She'd simply say, trying to wave off her rather aggressive mannerisms and allow the woman in. Auntie would open the door wide for the guest, nodding her in just like she would anyone else. While doing so she'd go ahead and mentally forward that there was a guest to the flame girl in question. The inside was just if not more beautifully adorned with old wooden furniture and classy mansion style architecture and a harsh blend of flaming orbs and decor. A vase made of whipping flame stirred on one of the tables. Some of the front seems to have gone through recent remodeling however. It was big, that's for sure.
"She's up in her room. Think she's having a day to cool off, so she's probably playing a game in there.Up the stairs here behind me and take to the right corridor. There you'll go down to the very first door to the right you see. Careful to knock first. If you need anything from a meal or snack to towelettes and fluffed pillows let me know. I'll be in the kitchen fixing us all a meal." The woman would offer their location and suddenly... their presence seems to pop out to the saiyan girl. Three strong energies seemed to pour from the mansion, two of which the girl would recognize the mere feeling of. A third... Well, even to Tomina it would feel hot. Or at least she'd tell the presence was hot.
"Now excuse me." Tabitha would try slinking off after that, her light steps echoing in the larger lobby as she made her way to the offset kitchen. Now that she was going the girl'd see the place seemed vacant. So vacuous.

Tomina scowled at Tabothia. She could sense that this individual was much stronger than the average human. Although that wasn’t exactly a high bar to jump over. She wanted to teach this woman some respect, but couldn’t risk being spotted out.
“Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not suppressing my energy because of you, or anyone else in this mansion. I’m not in the mood to deal with self righteous pricks, that’s all.I don’t care what she's doing either. I’m going to meet with them, whether they want me to or not. And the only thing I’d want from you is some good booze. If you don’t have that, then I have no need for anything from you. Go back to whatever you were doing, Cronie.”
Tomina walked into the mansion, tossing the newspaper to the ground with a flick of her wrist. She didn’t need it anymore, so she would just leave it to be picked up by the old woman. As she climbed the stairs, she sensed the three powers that were up there. Two of them she recognized, which was exactly what she was hoping for. The third one was unfamiliar to her though. Although it didn’t take a genius to figure out who it was. <So that’s Flare then. Her energy signature is promising. Ragnarok wasn’t kidding about her strength.I’m going to have to play this safely then. I’m getting tired of doing things this way, but it can’t be helped right now.>
Tomina followed Tabithia’s directions until she was in front of the door to the bedroom. Tomina raised her hand and banged her fist against it a couple of times. She waited for it to be opened, standing up straight in front of the door. A part of her was looking forward to this. This was a good opportunity to get a good measure on what her blood relations on her Elemi side were like.
"No, it's Auntie. Or Tabitha. One drink then, I'll bring a bottle up." Auntie was quirk to quip back at the youth before she went off, grabbing the thrown paper now and was going to grab some drinks and other snacks before getting back to the meal it seemed. She was quick on her feet too that old one was.
From inside Tomina would hear some muted beeps and clicks, sound held back by the door she was banging on thereafter. Said sounds suddenly stopped after a 'bing' chirped and the shuffle of footsteps started. The larger of them having gone to the door. The power which Tomina had thought of as this Flare individual. It wasn't long that the knob turned and swung inward to reveal a tall, auburn haired woman with short cut hair and dark complexion. Behind her were the other energies, though they were not familiar faces; A puffy haired blue skinned girl was sitting criss-crossed in front of huge ass screen, some controller in her hand and another set off to her side. At a table seemed to b the more serious one of the bunch, a small hologram computer set up as he seemed to be doing anything from checking emails to doing virtual paperwork.
"Well, I wasn't quite expecting anyone. Especially not ones I couldn't feel comin'." The woman perked a brow and tried to gauge who exactly it was that stepped into her home, judging by the clothes. Which actually didn't help all that much when comparing it to uniforms she knew of. So was she an Earthling then? That seemed more off than anything, and what she got from Auntie was that she didn't want to deal with self-righteous pricks? On Earth?
"You here for the school then? You'll have to excuse Auntie, she's had it rough with the last few guests that came by. I wasn't exactly expecting to take anyone in quite today but, let's see. I assume ya already know me, so what's your name? Or whatever you want me to call ya. Had a real weird guy who wanted to be called 'Hero' for some reason before." The red haired man seemed too into whatever he was doing at the table to pay the others any mind but the other girl on the ground picked herself up and wandered on over to see what was going on. Scrunching her nose and blinking from behind Flare to look at Tomina. A bit nosy, but the young flame didn't seem to mind from what Tomina saw.

So the old crone was useful for something after all. Tomina was looking forward to having a drink. She was going to need it. The door opened, and Tomina was greeted by a woman with brown hair and darker skin color. This was obviously Flare, although Tomina was a bit surprised by her looks. Aside from the hair color and maybe the shape of her face, they didn’t look like they were related. Inside she could see a blue skinned girl playing some kind of game. Tomina was looking forward to messing with her again.
Ragnarok was there too. She definitely saw the family resemblance with him. He had hair that was red as her Super Saiyan Crimson form. Tomina turned her attention back to Flare for the time being though. She leaned against the doorway, giving the fire Elemi a smirk.
“Me, learn a martial art from an inferior species? Ha! What a laughable notion. I just used that as a pretense to come in here. Although while we’re on the subject, since you publicly advertise it, does that mean you just teach your techniques to anyone who walks through that door? If you’re that lax about who you teach, then it’s no wonder a strange person showed up. Hero won’t be the last….. Pffffft!”
Tomina bent over, covering her mouth to stifle her giggles. Seriously, someone had decided to call himself that? He somehow had a worse naming sense then Saiyans did. The Saiyan hybrid managed to calm down a bit, and pushed herself off the wall to stand up straight. She had a small smirk on her face once again. Even in enemy territory with strong foes that forced her to use evasion tactic, she was very confident in her own abilities. Even standing before someone as strong as Flare was didn’t worry her in the slightest.
“It’s funny that you have someone you call Auntie. Cause I could call you the exact same thing and mean it literally. The name is Tomina I was in the neighborhood, so I wanted to check out the other side of my family tree. Ragnarok has praised you quite a bit, so it got me curious.”
Tomina then sent a telepathic message to Ragnarok. She wasn’t wasting any time and was getting straight to the point of her visit. <I’ve learned quite a few techniques since the last time we talked. There’s still some things I need to know though. I know that the range of telepathy is dependent on how far you can sense ki. My ki sensing isn’t one of my greater strengths. But it is one of yours though. I want you to teach me how to sense long range. And if you haven’t told Flare who my mother is, don’t you dare bring it up.to her now. If anyone finds out my lineage while I'm still on this planet, things will turn nasty in a hurry.>
Tomina wondered how everyone was going to take her arrival. Flare’s reaction would depend on how much Ragnarok told her concerning the Saiyan hybrid. The other two would be surprised for sure, especially Vitalerra. That was going to be a fun thing to watch.
Well, Tomina wasn't going to have to wonder for too long. Her face went from a pleasant grin to a scowl. She could have taken a plethora of reasons not to train under her martial arts or even just not to train under her period. Both were options people had and were able to refuse. But the hybrid had to choose the one that grinds her just the wrong way. A single whiff of flame bounced off the top of her head as she reached forward to try and grab at Tomina's collar. Seems the young flame really blotted out almost everything else the girl had to mention, the polarizing racist statement catching her full attention. Vitarella flexibly took a few step backs and widen her eyes at the display. This also got Ragnarok's attention in the very back there.
"Now look here, girl. I don't care who the fuck you're related to. I'm fine with ya coming around. Open doors, like the papers said. I don't much mind you not wanting the training, that's reasonable. I like chit chattin' from time to time too. But I don't know where the FUCK ya got the idea that you could come to my home, virtually unannounced, walk into my mansion, degrade my family then walk your ass on up here and litter your first words to me with some audacious racism not only towards me but to the others in here! That doesn't fly in here, you got me? If I were your mother I'd beat you for such insolence and lack of manners.
I'm usually alright with guests. And I'm usually fine with retorts and crude remarks. Because at the end of the day people should say what they mean. But I'm not just going to let house guests come in here and speak ill of me. My family. My friends, or anyone else. Not on my fuckin' property. So I'm gonna give ya three options. Stiffen a lip and quit being a self-righteous prick to people around here, turn your little twinkle toes on around and hit your ass on the way out the front door, or I'll show you said door myself. I'm being generous." Even if Flare hadn't grabbed the girl she'd have tried talking her down, a few more flames on her hairs swirling up. She definitely wasn't one to be talked down to, not to supposed guests and "family". Definitely not enemies. Vita seemed almost terrified of her Aunt, even though they were on the same side of the argument. Ragnarok did start telepathing the girl in secret, looking somewhat apprehensive to his sister's anger. A small heat building in the back of her head as he put on his mental showcasing.
["She knows of you, child. But I haven't told her who your mom is or that you worked under Nasu. I cannot help it if she starts making these assertions herself. You already outed yourself as something at least not pure of blood and discriminating. As for teaching you... I can, but not here. I'm mostly happy to see you in person, finally. I am conducting business but we should go off to the side some time while you're around and catch up.- Yes, that is Vitalerra if you were curious."] But it wasn't the sibling that spoke up again, no. Flare went back to taking the stage, clearing her throat and composing herself... sort of. The attitude towards her has definitely got her on edge now.
"I offer the service to Earthlings and those who wish to be stronger for themselves. I'm not going to take in criminal filth if that's what you're asking. Weird or not, some people need a strong role model. A proper tutor. And my bro better damn well praise me after what he's put me through." She still held that mean expression, downgraded to a constant frown, but it lingered still on her face. Tomina was already leaving a bad taste in her mouth and they hadn't even gotten into anything personal with one another.

Suddenly, Tomina found herself in the grip of the other fire user. Or at the very least, he shirt was in her grip. Tomina watched with interest as fire swirled around in Flare’s hair. Tomina sometimes let out fire when she was really mad too. Although normally it was mostly a temperature increase followed by her hair changing colors. If Tomina conjured flames when she was mad, then someone was in for a serious beating. Despite the situation and Flare’s speech about how she wasn’t going to take from her,Tomina didn’t seem to be taking it seriously. In fact, she looked amused. She threw back her head and laughed. When she managed to stifle it, Tomina gave Flare a wide grin.
"Oh man, that’s hilarious. See, you didn’t know my mother. So you have no idea how funny it is to talk about what she’d do to me for having poor manners. Alright Flare, I’ll behave and be somewhat polite while I’m here. You’re the Queen of the castle, so things go by your rules in here.”
Tomina had thankfully not responded with violence of her own. Hopefully the situation would cool down a bit. She didn’t expect an instantaneous reaction like that. Flare did have a lot of power and a short fuse though, so she wouldn’t hesitate to stand up for herself if Tomina degraded her. Well, she was going to have to play things differently this time around. The smile faded from her face, although Tomina still seemed to be in high spirits.
“No, that wasn't what I meant at all. See, there’s an inherent risk with teaching someone your techniques. The more people you teach, the more likely this scenario will happen. There’s always the possibility someone will use this in a way that goes against your beliefs. They could also use it against you and other people you care about. People don’t have to be listed criminals to take advantage of generosity.Either you know this and believe that it’s worth the risk, or you’re naive enough to overlook this possibility. If it’s the former, then why do you teach others? What’s so important that it’s worth the risk of someone using those techniques in ways you don’t want them to?”
Tomina jerked back, trying to get out of Flare’s grip. If she managed, she would take a couple of steps back, but remained in close proximity to her aunt. She wasn’t afraid of her, despite the strength she knew she had. She couldn't get a full read yet, but she would definitely be a tough fight. So it was important that she didn’t piss her off to that degree again, since she couldn't afford to be detected by others on the planet.
“Ragnarok told me that too. How he pulled things from behind the scenes and pushed things from behind the scenes. The powers of both Saiyans and Elemi are tied to their emotions. So what hell did your brother put you through? It can’t be any worst than anything Nasu and Caesar did to you. Ragnarok told me about that too. That does explain your strength. Negative emotions, the things you suffer, The pain that you feel… those are the key to obtaining new power. Although considering you’ve been through enough already, it was pretty cruel of him to push you even further. The things we do for our families.”
Tomina let out a low chuckle, her gaze fixed on the fire Elemi. Tomina seemed strangely relaxed in this situation. Although she was rather liking the conversation she was having. It was sure to get some interesting reactions out of Flare. She didn’t think she would take it as a direct insult towards anyone. Although who knew with someone with a short temper like Flare?
”Nasu and Caesar cause misery to anyone who gets in their way wherever they go. So then, did they kill people you care about? Or did they do even more horrific things to you? I want to know which one of us has suffered more. I want to know what drives you. What they did to you to fill you with anger and hate. Since we are related, it’s only fair for me to tell you a bit about myself in return. If you feel like talking this out.”
While Tomina gave Flare time to think about it, she telepathically contacted her Dad again. While things were getting interesting with Flare, there were still problems that she had to deal with. <That explains why she hasn’t tried to strangle me on sight. I did tell you that I don’t intend to be used by you. I’m sure you’re protecting me cause you see me as a valuable asset. Regardless of the reasons, I’m going to need to learn those sensing techniques as quickly as possible. Two Saiyans working under me left Saiya and come here without going through proper channels. I even gave one a direct order not to leave Saiya without permission when he expressed interest in going offworld. I didn’t tell the other one this because I assumed he was an adult enough to know not to do something that stupid.>
Tomina let out a sigh in her mind, trying her best to make sure her annoyance didn’t show. While she did a good job at hiding it for the most part, her body was slightly more tensed up then it was before.
<Apparently I overestimated his intelligence: he went beneath the low bar that I set for him. I mean he isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, and is meant to be a brute in combat. But this… I need to find them and bring them back asap. Earth is enemy territory for anyone in the SGK. One of them can’t even turn into a Super Saiyan yet. They’re going to get themselves killed if they stay here too long.>
Flare squinted at the girl as she just seemed to take her yelling rant with the lightest authority Flare'd seen from someone at the opposing end. Perhaps barring Jarvis. Tomina seemed more amused than shocked or obedient. Of course, her conjured flames were almost always around at the slightest peak in emotional stress. Of course the girl was almost always being set off twenty four seven by something or another. Instead the girl went on further about her teaching the Earthlings. Ignoring the fact that Flare wanted to teach Earthlings despite the fact some might abuse the gift? No, Flare wasn't going to let her go quite yet. Not when Tomina also started piping up about her strives in the recent years. Including that Ragnarok told her a bit more than what seemed Flare was comfortable with.
"What... RAGNAROK!- The hell do ya think you're tellin' my life story to strangers was allowed? I don't want random jerkwads to know these things ya prick, now tell me why you thought it was a good idea to tell her anything about that and why I shouldn't come over there and hold YOU by the collar too?- Yeah, I know they're both pieces of crap excuses for men. They've done a great deal harm to many people, not even including the bloody genocide. You really need to know specifics as to why I have a bone to pick with the lot of them? I've plenty of personal encounters with them too, but I ain't bout to spill my heart.
We may be related, but I don't know you. And I quite frankly don't think Ragnarok here knows you. I'm not going to divulge my pain and sorrow to someone who's intruding and rude, I don't even give that right to most of my friends! Pain itself doesn't derive strength, girl. I'm strong because I worked for it! I'm strong because I used to be a little girl in a big world that always tossed her around, and ya know what? I'm tired of being bullied, seeing my friends and family hurt by these people. My home assaulted and ransacked while I am unable to do anything. The pain was a mere motivator!" Flare shouted back at Ragnarok at first, a burst of flame catching the wood of the door frame and... nothing. Even though it was blazing hot. Tomina's daddy would raise his arms up rather defensively, leaning back more in his chair back there. Declaring innocence of this. He wouldn't really have a moment to interject though; Flare's gonna keep hitting home. Something seems to have clicked in her brain as she rambled on, now glowing eyes shooting at the other fire user.
"Ya know, it's funny that you bring up Elemi AND Saiyans. Ragnarok had a lot of kids... And with the way you act and how you throw around generalizations I'm gonna assume you're part of those pieces of crap that kneel under Nasu! 'Cause you sure as hell don't look like a Jarvis type. Tell me why you're really here and I might speak to you a bit more in private, since I'm curious why someone under the man who's threatened my planet numerous times is here now. I HIGHLY doubt it was just for me, given how you think of me as a lesser being. I've got a whole heck of a lot of reason to also tell some friends that you're here!" Funny how her statement itself was also a generalization. Ragnarok kept his raised hands held as Tomina would probably now accuse him of just out right telling Flare things. There was just no rest for the older man who'd just sigh and close his eyes to compose himself. Vitalerra turned a bit away from being out right scared to a bit disturbed. Observing the situation more with distaste now than unease.
"Now, now, I didn't tell her THAT much. Why do you think she inquires further? Surely anyone would want to ask why such a strong woman like yourself got so strong in the first place. I merely explained the circumstances." Ragnarok's words didn't calm her or settle her grip, in fact it only seemed to tighten for a moment before the pitter patter of light footsteps and the random clank of glass came from the halls. Indeed, Auntie seemed to be making her way up now. Flare stopping her growing snarl from appearing on her face as she watched her auntie carry a platter with several glasses and a couple of full, unopened bottles. The drinks, of course. Flare, both her and Tomina just blocking the doorway, decided to try tugging the younger girl into the room by the collar and then let her go from the grasp. Settling down ever so slightly.
"Drinks, as asked for. I brought in a bit more because I figured all of you might have wanted some from the arguing I heard. I don't want no fightin' in here, you understand? Especially you, young ma'am." Auntie would put the platter on a night table to the side and make her way out, eyeing Flare most definitely as the main target of her 'no fightin' policy. She, of course, knew Tomina was the agitator most the time but, eh. Remain civil and the old lady wouldn't have to stress about replacing older, antique areas of the mansion again. So she was out as quick as she came in.
"Thanks." Flare gave simply, actually being one of the first to head over to try and pop the cap and pour her some of the drink in a glass. The smell was bold, it was definitely something a bit harder. Bottle's not labeled as anything other than 'Applejack' so it looked to be home fermented. While Flare was knocking off to cool herself down from the situation Ragnarok stood up and patted himself down. He wasn't wearing his armor, rather some earthling clothes that fit his stature and red theme. Tomina in turn would receive a similar telepathic message, but he was making it not so obvious by getting in line for his own drink.
["Your insistence that I'm protecting you merely to use you is starting to feel grating, Tomina... And I see why you swung by. Actually, I think Flare has been keeping an eye on that bunch with her robot now that you mention there was a pair. This might not be needed if you simply wanted to learn it for that reason alone. I'm not going to stop you for wanting to spend some time together however."] Flare and Vitalerra both already seemed to have gotten cups, Ragnarok stepping to pour his own and then another, grabbing both and offering one to the guest of the house. Smiling.
"Applejack. Not sure if they ever export that elsewhere but here on Earth it's fantastic stuff."

The Saiyan hybrid was enjoying Flare’s reactions to everything. She couldn’t harm her physically since she didn’t want to be discovered. Mentally was a whole other story though. It wasn’t as though her sole objective was to piss the Fire Elemi off. A lot of what she was telling her were things she believed in. But she had to have her fun along the way.
“Aw, too shy to share your past with me? That’s fine, I don’t have to hear the exact details. I’ve heard life stories like that more times then I can count. Stop me if this sounds familiar. Once upon a time, you were living a very happy life with your friends and family. You only had to worry about minor inconveniences like whether or not you’d get a job. You probably figured you’d live a fairly normal life with some hardships. Or maybe you wanted to play hero and do that altruistic crap. Make the world a better place and help complete strangers who likely wouldn’t do the same for you. Hell, you could have done something more sensible with your time like drinking, fighting, and fucking. Maybe you’re only such a prude now because of all the shit you’ve been through. Your life can end at any moment, so you might as well make the most of it.”
Tomina chuckled, looking at Flare with amusement. Honestly these good guy types really did need to loosen up. She honestly didn’t know how they coped with things if they constantly worried about other people’s problems. It was probably why nearly all of them were serious all the time.
“Then someone stronger than you comes around and decides to do whatever they want. Whether it was Caesar, Nasu, or someone else you encountered first, you were completely helpless as they harmed you and everyone you held dear. And it happened again and again. You vowed to get stronger, to push yourself to new heights so that you could crush them and hold onto whatever you had left to cherish. It’s a story as old as the dawn of time. Although you still haven’t reached the end of it.”
Tomina was finding it surprising that she was having this conversation with the fire Elemi. She honestly didn’t expect they would get into this heavy discussion right off the bat. Then again, with how temperamental Flare seemed to be and how open Tomina was with her opinions, it made sense that things would play out this way.
“Earth exists as a bubble that has somehow shielded its inhabitants from the harshness of the universe. Every other planet has suffered whenever someone stronger than them decides that they want to take it. It’s the way it’s always been. The strong shape the universe to their whim, and the weak are at their mercy. The weak must become strong to enforce their views and fulfil their goals and desires.I have no doubt you’ve worked hard to obtain that power. You wouldn’t have worked so hard for it if you didn’t have strong feelings towards the people you wanted to surpass.”
Tomina’s smirk faded from her face the more she went on. She was getting more serious as this line of conversation continued. She still had her smugness about her, but it was a bit less pronounced than before.
“Nasu and Caesar wronged you and those you cared about, and made you despise them. Did Nasu kill someone you cared about? Did Caesar turn a comrade into one of his toys? I’ve heard he’s rather fond of making things his in more ways than one.You wouldn’t have push yourself to become this strong if you didn't have anger in your heart. Hatred is the force that drives strength, that pushes people to become stronger. I’ve never heard of someone becoming a Super Saiyan through joy before, have you? They have always suffered to go through their transformations.”
This was a subject that Tomina was very passionate about. It was her philosophy, her view on how the universe operated. It was the main anchor that held her down to reality, and made things easier to accept. It made everything make sense to her, and explained why horrible things happened to her and others.
“Everyone has their own hopes, dreams, desires, and ideals. They see things in different ways. Naturally their beliefs clash with other people. So what decides who’s visions and goals are achieved? Those with the most power are the ones who make their dreams become reality. The stronger you are, the more you can do. If Earth didn’t have such strong people defending it, I could do whatever I wanted. I could drink all the alcohol in a tavern, or blast someone to pieces if I felt like it. Laws and rules only apply if they can be enforced. With how strong you are, you could easily do whatever you wanted on a world with natives as weak as this. The only difference is that you don’t want to do it ever. Whereas I wouldn't be against the idea if I was in the mood to do so.”
Tomina was distracted by the fire that sparked into being on the door at all, keeping her eyes locked with Flare’s. Tomina grinned when she called her out for how she was, clapping her hands together slowly.
“Bravo, you figured it out! You’re amazing! Most people would have never had guessed that I’m not a nice person. Kudos to you! It’s just as you say: I am a member of the Saiyan Galactic Kingdom. Although I work for the sake of the Ssiyan race, not Nasu himself. I have to bow to him for the time being though. His goals overlap with what I want to accomplish, and I can’t accomplish them alone. Right now I need him to take out the other monsters in the universe like Caesar. You’re not the only person who has him on their hitlist. He’s taken many things from me and my race. I’m going to make him pay for what he took with interest.”
Tomina’s face darkened at the mention of that monster. He had been the final nail in the coffin of the Saiyan Empire, and killed her half-brother Athren. That had left her the sole survivor of the Lettis bloodline, as far as she knew. That was just the start of his transgressions against the Saiyan race. Tomina didn’t focus on it for long though, quickly pushing her future revenge plans to the back of her mind to discuss the matter at hand.
“You said it yourself: I wouldn’t have come to Earth to have a friendly conversation with the inhabitants. I’m to retrieve two Saiyans who work under me. They both left Saiya and went to enemy territory without authorization. I gave one of them a direct order not to do it when he expressed interest in exploring other worlds on his own. The other one should have known better. Apparently I have to beat things into his head like he’s a child as well. Get here and get out is the plan. I tracked them to this area, although I still have to get a fix on their exact location. Believe me, if we were here to take over the planet, you wouldn’t need to ask us why we came here.”
Tomina let out a snort when Flare suggested she might contact her allies. That would definitely be problematic. Although it would be even more problematic for the fire Elemi.
“I’m sure your brother will love seeing one of his daughters fight for his life. Even if he was on board with the idea, I’m no greenhorn when it comes to fighting. It would take a considerable amount of effort to bring me down, and there would be a lot of collateral damage. Your mansion would be gone for sure, along with a few of the weaker occupants in it. Besides, I invaded my first planet when I was 3 years old. So I know how to handle myself even in hostile environment where entire species are out to kill me.”
Fortunately this conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Auntie with the drinks. Tomina didn’t acknowledge her giving out the drinks, which was probably for the best. So far she had thrown out mostly insults and snide comments from her mouth. She poured a bit into the glass as she telepathically responded to Ragnarok.
<It’s not an insult, it’s just how it is. Most people use one another to achieve their goals. My entire existence was decided when my mother wanted a strong weapon to crush her enemies. She did love me and Athren in her own way, but if she hadn’t been pushed into a corner by the Saiyan Alliance, she wouldn’t have sought out a strong Elemi and had another child. There are a few exceptions of course, some people pure enough to not have ulterior motives. Vitalerra might be such an exception, from what I can tell. Pure flowers like her don’t last long without protection though. Either they wither and die in the darkness of the universe, or they become tainted while adapting to survive.>
So Carva and Rensu had been found out. She wondered how they got tracked down so easily. Even if they weren’t as experienced as her, they both knew how to suppress their ki. So how had they gotten discovered so quickly? Well, at least they were alive. Tomina took a swig of her drink, her eyes widening as the taste hit her. She chugged down the rest of the glass, looking over at the bottle and grinning.
“DAMN. this is some really strong booze you’ve got here. I’ve got to hand it to you, you’ve certainly got good taste in things. I love the decor of the mansion too. it would be a shame if we ended up fighting one another in here. It would be such a waste of hard work and liquor.”
Tomina poured herself another glass of the alcohol. She was really loving this Applejack brew. She wondered if she could get the recipe for it. It was something she wouldn't mind fixing for herself every so often. You didn’t drink strong stuff like that all the time. But when you did, you were in for quite a ride.
Flare mostly had to sit back and listen to her niece ramble on about her. It was infuriating, right. Like she knew what she's been through, what she's had to deal with? Despite the fire elemi's own growing hatred of this Tomina speaking she wasn't without some truth in her word. Each and every point the half bred girl spoke was general enough to most of the, what Flare could call "decent people", had to go through to be able to protect others. That's as far as Flare'd take the truths to however. After a bit of drinking she'd simply set the cup aside. Tomina was trying her still. Even beside the supposed compliment on the fiery woman's tastes the SGK cum was leaving a bad taste in her mouth. She was honestly lucky she wasn't punching quite yet. Had it not been for Tomina basically explaining why she was here she could have otherwise.
"Oh fuck off with that. Ya don't deserve to know specifics! I always hear this drivel from that blue haired prick and your damned king. All of you can speak like you're just acting in self interest all you want, trying to 'enforce views'. At least Jarvis has an excuse, although a poor one. He's actually insane. No, I don't play hero just like you don't play pillaging and conquering. Despite what you might think otherwise not everyone can stand up for themselves physically. I know from experience that it takes a lot for someone like me to compete with giants. No... Enforce?
I don't enforce shit, girl. I kick people's asses because they infringe on others' liberties. The moment any of these jack arse humans step out and try 'enforcing their views' on other people you'd bet I'd slap them across the planet too! Ya can't stand there with a straight face, in my damned house, and tell me you can paint the world with such a broad and simple brush. Your types WISH it were that simple. So simple that everything is just 'might makes right'. Any evidence to the contrary gets squandered by the insane, the wicked, or the ignorant, doesn't it? Do you think Jarvis destroying Natto was the right thing because he was able? Daft girl." Vitalerra shifted in her place as Flare went on, finding her way back to her seat on the ground in front of the television. Taking another glass with the brew for herself... Ragnarok, still standing next to the young flame, was busy drinking away. He was probably used to outbursts. At least Flare's. A small pause between the two big flames in the room would prompt Ragnarok to interrupt Tomina telepathically.
["A valid reason as to why she's here. She's not a fighter, knows just enough to keep herself from harm. Most the time. Common rubbish won't be hurting her, but I myself have to take care of her. Not to mention her mother is deceased. If you still really think I plan on using you then that's fine. You're still a fine example of a specimen, something I can gloat about to the others back in our society. Maybe to terrify them into action, hahah."] He'd hide a smirk to her under the guise of his cup he drank from, making sure Flare nor Vita really saw him doing this. This was all an interesting little chit chat. And at least Ragnarok was enjoying the encounter underneath Flare's own despising gaze of the girl with dissenting ideals. After a small pause for Flare she'd roar again. Flames again whipping around her hair. Nothing seemed to light aflame not even as some cinder and sparks licked the ceiling and floor.
"What Nasu or Jarvis did to me is none'ya business. What you plan to do with Jarvis or Nasu outside of hurting anyone else without reason is none of mine. Speculate for yourself, you've not earned my story. I earn nothing through hate, only pain and sorrow. I fucking cried myself into my super form... Er, Super Elemi was it? That's what I called it at least. 'Parently isn't very heard of since it rivals any notion of the saiyan form being superior to anything. Plenty of beings only train for their ascension.
I wouldn't be telling my friends you were here to come beat your ass in anyways, dear. I can do that perfectly fine myself. No, I'd be telling them how fuckin' suspicious it is you and some of your friends just so happen to be around right now. I've heard of the baby genocidal babies Saiyans sometimes had but... that kid seemed a bit soft, don't you think? I'd expected by your standards he would have had no problems speaking for himself and confronting the Kami. The kid deserves better, honestly. Even that Carva guy didn't seem completely aggressive.
Or was that just deception? From the proud SGK?"

The flames whipping around Flare starting solidifying, eventually enveloping the woman's hair in a literal fire. Hot head was a literal term she could use now. Eyes glew red. Tomina would find the sudden change all too familiar. Flare's power rose tremendously, though it paled in comparison to what Ragnarok probably boasted of her quite yet. She smirked... ever so slightly.
"Auntie brewed the stuff herself, been fermenting for a while. I myself fancy it too, used to drink away the nights. Ya know what about the mansion though...? Ever noticed something, doll?"" With a simple nod down to her feet Flare tried directing the girl's attention to the floor. Flare lit her feet in fire and was stepping on the carpet... Amounting to nothing burning? In fact, the whole house seemed to take the extremely hot flames quite well. Then, whether Tomina looked down or not, Flare only had to think and focus on it before a flame swirled around her hands and came together to start forming... an elaborate, decorative candle. Metal works that seemed to be embroidered, adorning jewels and the like as well. All made from simply possessing fire from her hand into a physical form. Flare'd offer the candle, base and all, to Tomina to hold for demonstration.
""I know it's a gorgeous place. The home was originally made of fire proof materials, courtesy of Capsule Corp. I've since made them of flames however. Well... some of it. I've had to recreate parts of the manor before with this. Did it from memory. A good thing I'm not just a girl who can throw a punch well."" She'd then create a few other things from the thin air around her. Each successive one raising the temperature of the room from the fire expelled. A finely crafted wooden cane, an expertly woven silk quilt, pearls of fiery red ruby stone set, and more importantly one of those awful, cheap mustache plus nose and glasses combo gags. All of which Flare would attempt to make appear on Tomina's person as she stood there. A certain warmth was felt from each if they were allowed on.
"As much as you are persistently ignorant I'll entertain you with a bit of thought. Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps threatening Earthling's denizens rather than going after the man who wiped most of your proud, saiyan people out is rather stupid? Like throwing a damn fit, just because nobody except Koma was able to even touch Jarvis then. Nasu was busy with his... "diplomacy". You threatened one civilization and attacked a reforming one. Yet from what I get the kingdom of yours doesn't like the alliance because they weren't fools who decided to keep making their situation worse. You know what Koma and his side of the barrel did that Nasu's bunch didn't? Make friends in the face of the real perpetrator. And not continue making enemies.
It'll happen again. Natto 2.0. I'll call it this time, and I'll fucking laugh at you all. Call you idiots, and beat some sense into each and every one of your members before it got any worse than what it already has. I'm not a ruthless killer like Jarvis is, and I'm not a dick like Nasu is. I can give a bit, but there's only so much a girl can do when the people SHE TRIED SAVING ARE NOW AGAINST HER AND HER PLANET?
Whatever."
She'd relent and grab herself another drink. Trying to sit herself down on the bed to cool off. It worked enough to calm the fire from her hair but she still seemed pent up. Squinting at Tomina. There was only so many ways to describe contempt.

Tomina didn’t even try to hide her annoyance at the fire Elemi’s words. She rolled her eyes, despite already being on Flare’s bad side. While Tomina was going to abide by the actual rules Flare wanted her to abide by, that did not mean that she had to do it respectfully.
“It didn’t even take 5 minutes for that heroic arrogance to rear its ugly head again. I don’t need to hear your story cause I know I’m right about the basics. The fact that you don’t want to talk about it is proof enough. More importantly though, you just proved my point. “I kick people's asses because they infringe on others' liberties.” That is what you believe in, and are willing to fight for it if you have to.”
Tomina wasn’t giving anyone else in the room the time of day other then Flare. They didn’t seem to be doing anything that was worth her attention anyway. She tilted her head, her eyes narrowed as she stared at the Elemi.
"What if an entire race decides to "infringe on the rights of others", and beating them up isn't enough to make back down? Actually, let's make this a bit more specific. What if the human race gathered together and all adopted a philosophy that would infringe on the rights of others? Scoff at the idea of that ever happening, I know you want to. The truth is that it's more common than you think though. The Kold race almost unanimously decided to form an Empire and enslave other species when they were in their prime. How far are you willing to go to enforce your beliefs on others? If it came down to it, would you kill to uphold them?"
Tomina let out an exasperated sigh. Honestly talking about this drabble was tiring. She didn’t even know why she was bothering to be honest. Neither of them were going to change the opinion of the other. Tomina could already tell that Flare was just as stubborn about what she believed in as the Alliance Saiyans were in their crap.
"My point is, people do things for different reasons. Some people kill for fun while others kill for vengeance. And that's just one example. These reasons don't matter if you and your allies lose. What only matters is the result. If Caesar rules the universe one day and kills his enemies, then everything he does becomes right. Even though he's completely insane, no one would argue with him at that point. Which is still a hypothetical possibility apparently. Seems like he's gone and become the ruler of hell and can resurrect himself at will. I personally think Miso just had a delusional coma though. If it were that easy, someone would have done that a long time ago."
Tomina was still reluctant to believe that people could return from the dead at the drop of a hat. True Tomoroko had seemingly come back, but she presumed that was just because those False Gods got her out through a loophole. Caesar wouldn’t get such treatment from them. Besides, if it was so simple a thing to return to the world of the living, why hadn’t her mother done that by now? She was in hell long before Caesar had been. Her level of power would have been enough to come back, surely!
“Reasons only truly matter once you win. It really is as simple as might makes right. Many people can't accept that though. They can't accept how cruel the universe truly is. They'd rather cling to the illusion of peace and prosperity and reject reality. It's a nice dream, but that’s all is. A dream, and nothing more.”
Tomina’s voice seemed a bit more… somber. For a moment she seemed to have a look of regret on her face. For someone who lived a life of fighting and violence, not living in peace seemed to be a weird thing to regret. If that was what she was really feeling. It only lasted for a minute though. When she responded to her father, her normal bravado had returned.
<Not a fighter huh? I can tell it's taking all her effort not to try and beat me into the ground. A mere insult towards the inhabitants of this planet was enough to warrant slamming me into the wall. She has a shorter fuse than I have, and that’s saying something. Hah! Go ahead and frighten your people with tall tales of Tomina the terrible. Force them to make the moves you want them to. It will lead to their doom though. If you’re considered one of the stronger Elemi out there, then they wouldn’t hold a candle to the dominant forces in the universe.>
Tomina would have made fun of Flare crying herself into getting more powerful if the Elemi hadn’t been pressing some of her buttons as well. It wasn’t enough to make Tomina go off the rails and outright slam her aunt into the wall, but it was enough to make her more aggressive in enforcing her own views on things.
"Pain, sorrow, and hatred are all connected. Hatred is bad for the whole good guy schtick though, so of course you’d try to distance yourself from that. As for the two Saiyans under my command, you saw who they really are at face value. Sneaky deceitful tactics aren’t exactly things that Saiyans partake in. We don’t like hiding how we view things and prefer direct confrontations. If I was trying to blend in, I would have put on a curious, naive girl act who wanted to learn more about martial arts. Please teach me Flare! I want to learn from a wise master such as yourself!”
Tomina clasped her hands together, her voice becoming high in pitch as she batted her eyelashes at Flare. She was really playing up the whole innocent student act for her. Tomina switched out of it just as quickly as she entered it though, continuing conversing with the Elemi as she had before.
“I’ve been straight with you this entire time. I certainly haven’t been hiding how I feel about the inhabitants of this planet. Trust me, you’ll know a Saiyan Invasion when you see one. We don’t like the whole sneaking around and shit. I only suppressed my kI because I don’t intend on fighting today if I can help it. Come to think of it, Carva and Rensu would have likely done the same thing. So how did they did discovered so quickly?”
Did those two somehow screw up more then she thought they did? Coming out to a hostile alien environment without authorization was bad. If they had been prepared for it though, they would have at least survived the experience in theory. Although they somehow had been found out right away. What exactly happened when they touched down on Earth? She supposed she would figure that out soon enough. Right now, Tomina was enjoying the taste of the beer that Flare’s aunt had given to her.
“I can tell it's home brewn. It has a very distinct taste to it. If you sold this in the galactic market, you would make quite a profit. Although considering you live in a mansion, you’re already well off enough as it is.”
Tomina stared transfixed as Flare demonstrated her fire manipulation abilities. She had made this house out of her fire? Well it must have been true, cause she created a candle out of them right in front of her very eyes. It seemed too absurd a concept to even be real. But she couldn’t deny what she saw. She wasn’t going to admit it to her, but she was in awe on what she had just witnessed.
“You… created all of this with your fire? How is that even work? I can change the form of my flames to suit my needs, but this is something else altogether. My fire just consumes everything in its path. That’s fine, for someone like me though. I don’t need to create things, as convenient as that power would be. I can get others to do that for me.”
Tomina simply leaned back and yawned, patting her mouth a couple of times as Flare’s strength increase. What, did she actually think she was going to be phased by that sort of thing? Honestly, it was a bit insulting for her to try and make a move like that.
“First off, if you’re trying to intimidate me by showing off your power, then you’re wasting your time. Even if you went into your final form, I wouldn't be scared. I’ve interacted with stronger powers than you and I on a regular basis throughout my life. Secondly, Caesar is dead. And if he really can resurrect himself and come and go from hell, then there really isn’t any point in finding in killing him. The only way to find him for sure it to go wherever you go where you die, and nobody is going to commit suicide just to get at the bastard.”
Tomina scoffed at the latest bit of nonsense Flare had let loose from her mouth. Honestly, did this woman filter anything that was in her head? Sure, Tomina nearly always spoke her mind. But that didn’t mean that she just let whatever thought that popped in her head lose without thinking about it at least for a short amount of time.
“Friends with other races? There are no friends to be made outside of our race. True coexistence is just another fantasy that the Alliance chooses to follow. Oh, some planets will cooperate when they have to, for a time. It never lasts though. We didn’t create new enemies: every other race has always been our enemies. Especially the Kold Demons and all the races that have worked under them. We didn’t make the situation worse: the truth of the matter is that things were going to inevitably get to this point.”
Tomina leaned back against the wall, angling her body so she would be a bit more comfortable. Well, as comfortable as you could be when you didn’t have anything to sit on anyway.
“Saiyans are naturally drawn to power. We follow the strongest individuals among our race. Which was problematic in the aftermath of the Alliance-Empire war. When the dust settled, the strongest Saiyans in the universe killed each other off. This created a power vacuum in both factions. Eventually Nasu emerged as the leader of the Alliance. The Empire on the other hand had no takers. Prince Athren had forsaken the throne for quite some time, only accepting his role shortly before Caesar rose to power. The Empire Saiyans who remained were taken into the Alliance.”
Tomina’s face darkened the moment she brought up the Alliance. All her resentment was packed into the bitter tone her voice had taken on. She hated them with every fiber of her being. One day she would bring them all to ruin.
“The truth is that the Saiyan race never fully came back together. The Alliance became comprised of Saiyans with different ideologies. Nasu and Komatsu were the glue that held it together. It was never going to last though. Komatsu followed the beliefs of his traitorous parents. Nasu on the other hand had a mentality closer to that of an Empire Saiyan. Natto’s destruction only made the inevitable split happen faster.”
Slowly the darkness faded from her face. She managed to direct her own conversation away from the more painful aspects of it. She still wasn’t in a good mood over the whole experience, but she would at least be able to keep her composure better.
“You may have fought for the Saiyans on Natto, but you weren’t fighting to save a united people. I’m sure those tree huggers were more than thankful for your help, but the true Saiyans don't have the same sentiment. You were there helping, but it was for the sake of Komatsu and his beliefs. Not for Nasu and what he believed in. In our eyes, you’re just another enemy who will stand behind the Alliance scum.”
Tomina stiffened, glaring crossly at the Elemi. Honestly, this woman kept on finding ways to annoy her. This latest one wasn’t likely intentional on Flare’s part, but it still got on Tomina’s nerves all the same.
"By the way, you need to stop calling Caesar by that name! You have no idea how humiliating it is to live with the fact that your homeworld was conquered by someone with a stupid name like Jarvis. It’s almost as insufferable as renaming Planet Vegeta to his last name. That name is so stupid that I refuse to utter it!”
Tomina barked at the Elemi like she was giving a command to an underling. Unlike Rensu and Carva, Flare didn’t have to take any sort of order from her. Tomina crossed her arms, her eyes still staring intently at Flare. Tomina wished she could wallop Flare into the ground. Although there would be plenty of time for that later. Right now remaining undetected by major enemies was her priority.
Fortunately it seemed like Flare wasn’t intent on giving away her position. There was still a chance she could find Rensu and Carva and get out before anyone could react. Although if they were being monitored, it would be tricky to pull off. Although she was familiar with those kind of missions, so she’d be able to handle it. Hopefully her and her squad would be out of this place and heading back to Saiya within a few hours.
