Bernael would walk along the edge of some water, the world painted by crimson glow not getting to him anymore as he just wandered at this point. His heart and soul was torn between two decisions really at this point, and neither of them exactly seemed like a positive outcome at this point. Either he would give up and accept his fate, letting himself live the rest of eternity within Hell, trying to stay away from others so as to be alone. Or, he would try to claw his way back to the real world much like others did, possibly angering the denizens of otherworld even more for all the reasons that he was put down there. He gave up on earning their favor after all that he had seen, he felt abandoned by his own hopes and dreams, for everything that he had left home for. Perhaps on that first, exciting day that he left home to go adventuring, it would have been better to stay nustled up inside.
His eyes would cast a longing stare into the water, his own demonic eyes just making him feel disgusted with himself for a brief moment. Part of his body wished for redemption, but at this point, he found the best way to do that was to just spend his days where he belonged for now. But still, his emotions were boiling just staring at his reflection in the water, any trace of demon showing up on his natural body making him seethe with an inward rage. He knew he shouldn't hate an entire part of himself now that he realized what it was all about, he could be different somehow... but for now, something else pushed it a bit too far.
Just knowing that this body wasn't truly his, that it was a doll meant to be abused that he just possessed, all of it was too much as he stared into the toy of a creation as well as his own features. "At least let me decide for myself... if I have to inhabit something like this." he'd mumble to himself slowly, each word strained in an agonizingly low mutter through gritted fangs. Bernael would raise his hand upwards, using some of his ki energy to shapeshift his body into a disguise of sorts. Though it hardly did anything to hide who he was, it was just the form that he chose to take on when playing a full-blooded human.
Seeing that figure in the reflection, however, didn't do too much to remedy what troubled him. The only time that he had ever sat down and used that form for an elongated period of time he got into bar fights, flirted with girls he hardly knew, and just groveled in his sorrows in a sullen time of his life. Even masquerading as a pure human, he didn't seem to fit quite well, as even the best memories he could recall on, he was in his natural demon form doing ordinary people things. Those things he could never get back... ever since what cast him down into hell in the first place he had only abrupt periods that he ever felt some sort of joy doing anything.
With a firm sigh of irritation, he would sit down on the edge of the water, letting his legs dip into the water as deep as they could go without sliding his torso into it as well. Not like it really mattered if he got soaked, he could just use aura heat to evaporate it all in the blink of an eye. Anything that a normal person would consider an inconvenience was far overshadowed by the perks that came with even the slightest bit of power, and it made even the most grandiose experiences into little more than an ease of use that came with what was gained. "I should probably stretch my muscles.." once more, he'd mumble to himself down into his own reflection that stared back at him with an ominous calmness to it.
Shortly after, he'd stand up, forming a katana made of energy into his right hand, holding it like he normally would his old Uchigatana, doing a few stylistic movements with it, each forming a different stance to do combat with until he'd stop and just stare at the Katana of energy once more. This would continue for a few seconds as it'd just change into a sword akin to one that would be wielded by a Knight. His stances would drastically change, as he started to do more expertly crafted attacks with the sword in front of him. The moves he did with his Katana were just formulated from what he taught himself, nothing more than Rookie swings that hit strong but hit true. The new sword strikes, were from the one style that he mastered, as he would just reteach himself what it felt like to use them. He was taught them but outside of the training room, he tended to resort to his old styles of fighting and his fists rather than the blade style that taught him how to be a better fighter in the first place.
As rusty as he was, however, it seemed that he still had a knack for fighting somewhat, or some sort of muscle memory never left him after all this time. The blade of ki would eventually run out, dissipating into the air as the Demon would just break into a series of punches, training with the air and doing some evasive maneuvers against something that was apparently all in his head, every bit of it bringing a smile to his face as he just made a ruckus all around his little area of Hell. He had hardly encountered anyone aside from the miscellaneous wisp or two floating about, so it truly felt like he was free to do whatever he wanted within reason.
But, all fun comes to an end as he'd just stop himself in the middle of his exercise, staring around at the crimson landscape. This wasn't home... this wasn't the Lookout... this wasn't his Ship... it was the Afterlife, Hell. Every bit of fun he had, was all fabricated to mask and delay the inevitable, he had to decide if he wanted out of this place or not. And, in the case that he decided he shouldn't try to get out, fun wasn't really an option, this was his punishment and any bit of enjoyment he had defeated the entire purpose. His eyes would look back into the blood red water, staring at his reflection once more with a look of contempt as he realized he finally had his answer. "I don't deserve to leave... I was put here for a reason, and if I ever want to change... I have to accept it.. and remain here till my wrongs have been forgiven and I can prove myself otherwise, even if it takes thousands of generations to do so." he would clench his fists as he spoke, the look of contempt growing ever more disheartened as he spoke on. He would slowly clutch his hand tightly against his chest, holding it near and dear for a second before bringing it out and looking down at his hand, opening to reveal his palm was filled with a small pendant made from ki energy. "I know that there is good within me, I've always had good intentions, even if everything eventually turned out horrid. I know I can pull myself up out of the twisting shadows that consume me wherever I go.. and turn it into an aura of light."
[Just making this thread open in case anybody who is eligible wants to join in. Planning on taking this posting thing a little bit slower after getting back so that I don't burn myself out so I don't wanna force everything into a solo if people wanna join in as well.]
After having watched the altercation on Earth, the highest of authority in the otherworld sighed and put a weary head into her hand. She was lucky Whis and Lagerus weren't here breathing down her OWN neck. This whole thing was a mess to her and, quite frankly, it'd stay that way for a while u til the mortals got themselves together. With the help of some divine intervention of course. Up to this point the quadrant supreme kais were all the ones doing the work, some even helping one another. Some abandoning their godhood to directly help the mortals.
"And here I lay, motionless against the crashing waves." The horned kai admitted to herself, her own compliance with just letting the morals handle everything finally going to bite her in the ass. Her whole creation, her universe, was in trouble because of it. Never in her life had it been so close to erasure as now. there had to be something she could do that wouldn't go against her own principles set across by... well, her own care free nature. That was when she felt the plight of a dead individual. A demonic entity, even, locked down in hell. Plenty of poor souls try bargaining for their humanity back, sure, but something about this Bernael grabbed her attention. She'd take a stand and stab her staff to the ground with a few taps.
"... Maybe." He was a strong soul. Perhaps it wasn't beyond her to at least hear out his plight and want. With a deep breath she'd close her eyes and concentrate. Focusing on projecting her thoughts into his mind. A tingle of light and reverb would be felt in the back of his head as she tried making contact with this young half demon.
["Pull yourself from twisted shadows? Become the light you wanted to be? Worry not, child, I am not some enchantress messing with your head. Feel free to call me... Diana. I hear your plight from above and wish to be shown your resolve in your words. Proof."] She'd offer first, the voice not sounding decieving in its light, almost mother like tone.

The demon would pick up a small red stone, not out of frustration but to try and calm himself down a little bit after what he just said to himself. He'd pull back his arm, and then throw it, skipping it across the small red waterway that he was at until it'd disappear. However, the tingling sensation in the back of his head, connecting himself to something else would make him stop for a second. The words that spoke out to him made him tremble a little bit, this couldn't be real right? This had to be another trick from the punishment of Hell trying to reach out to him for but a moment, and fool him.
Well, whether it was or wasn't, he hadn't any room to complain, and it seemed harmless enough that he would just stare down at the small pendant in his hand once more, moving to sit down by the water once more with his legs dipping in. "Diana did you say...? You can call me... Bernael, if we may stand on equal footing with names.." He would speak in a soft tone, almost like he was speaking to someone close to him that he knew for a long time. As if he was treating this as a conversation with himself to resolve stuff on his own.
"You want me to show you my resolve? I don't know where to start.. but let's just say, I haven't done many good things in my life. I've tried, I've tried so many times with good intentions but... it always seems to fall flat on its face." A look of regret seemed to wash over his face for but a moment before he would shake his head and look forward again in thought. "If I was able to go back and fix every little problem that I made, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but here I sit, by the blood red pools of hell, with everything as my fault.." His face would look a bit dim as he'd stare into the waters at his own reflection again, his disguise wearing off to reveal his real body once more.
"It might just sound odd, though I guess I'd have to explain what I did wrong for anybody to understand... and it all starts with my early life adventuring." He thought for a moment about the path that led him here, and ultimately, it started at just being born, so it was where he could begin with. "I was born half human and half demon, always mistreated by my peers for my demonic blood, accepted by none but my mother. I went out into the world one day and found many friends that accepted me for who I am, even those that pledged to slay evil demons accepted me as a friend. And in my travels I found one person named Jarvis, or, I guess he partially goes by Caesar now.." He'd pick another rock by the edge of the water and skip it across the surface, taking a moment to relax from his words as he thought over what exactly he wanted to say next.
"He was, misunderstood, like me. But he took a darker path, he was a rogue type but I sensed good in him.. so I thought I'd be his friend and try to change him, and he died in my arms. I thought I lost him forever and it was my own inaction that killed him." He reminisced over the pain he felt on the lookout, how much it hurt him to see Jarvis die, but that pain was so small to everything that came after it. "The next time I saw him, however, he was tainted. I was blind to it, I just saw an old friend back in my life with good intentions to save his new empire, asking for me to collect some wishing orbs for him..." The demon boy would draw a cool breath, and let it out slowly as he shuddered, before looking to the sky.
"What do you know, I very well did it, I took those wishing orbs and handed them right over to my buddy that I thought I could trust... and he used them to become that, false god that he is now." He choked on the last few words, realizing that everything that Jarvis did with it afterward truly was his fault. Most of all, he could do nothing to change what he did in the past, a mistake that could only be fixed by moving forward. "When I saw him immediately after, I hesitated to strike him down, I had a full opening to kill him right where he stood. But instead I stopped, I couldn't give up on what I worked for to make him good, and I was blinded, causing many allies of mine to be killed or injured... Caesar soaked my body in their blood, and I don't think it ever really washed away." His head would droop to stare back down into the pool of water, his gaze staring deep as he just thought of what happened afterward, all of the cold regret that he held deep inside of himself after that day.
"Him becoming what he is now was my fault.. and then, I just hid. I met my Aunt, and she took me to my father that I never met. What do you know though, my Aunt is the Demon Queen... I got so close to the both of them, and in the end... my association with both and causing so much to happen, even if it wasn't the intent I ever had, led me here." Finally, he'd clench his fists, slowly standing from the water, staring forward with a sharp determination.
"But, I've seen the errors that I made with the two of them, and I am determined to never, ever make those same mistakes again. I want to protect everyone, I want to save countless people from such horrible ends, that was always my goal." His look of determination would look a bit waver for a second, thinking over his next words carefully before he would shake his head, smiling to himself as he found that it wasn't as negative as he truly thought it was at first.
I've made so many mistakes in my life, but they won't hold me back. I want to fix them, and I know that standing around here won't help in any way, but it is my punishment, my punishment that I have to understand and follow through with. So until I have served my dues, I will stand dutifully by, purifying my thoughts and soul to show that I really can be the man that I desired to be, no matter what is put in my path to push me down into the darkest banks of the universe." he'd smile to himself brighter than before, giving a firm nod as all of this talking to a being that he thought was just his imagination as a coping tool seemed to have cheered him up a lot.
"I have to thank you, Diana... I feel like a lot of this has been on my chest for far too long.. and maybe, just maybe.. letting it out to myself has strengthened my goals." Finally, after all the talking that he had done, he felt like he had closure on the darkness clouding his thoughts. He felt much more relaxed as he'd stare at his reflection with a smile on his face, he needed to get away from the past and look towards the future. Whether he would ever be given a chance or not, he needed to treat every single day like he was going to get that chance the next.
As the youth introduced himself she started having the sneaking suspicion he knew not of what she was yet. Good. She'd sit by idly, patiently listening to the man's woes and wrongs. This encounter was chance coincidence, so she became naturally alarmed when it came up that he was the one responsible for the wishes of godhood given to a destructive mortal named Jarvis. And his mother was Nakiya? Hahaha, whis Bernael specimen was interesting. The kai closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath as he finally finished up.
["Yes... I heard your woes, child. You ache to right wrongs. Careless acts of charity to the wrong people at the wrong times. You thought you were doing right somewhere down the road but never stopped to question your surroundings. Your family. You possess great strength, but you were previously willed by others rather than yourself. Selflessness can be just as harmful as selfishness if done in the wrong, or you neglect yourself as a being in the process."] She'd almost lecture the demon child, an audible tap in the back of his head as he could almost feel her tapping the staff she held physically elsewhere, still not revealing her form to him just yet. It'd echo a bit in the back of his head in a sort of whimsical chime.
["You speak many things on how you want. How you wish to change things now for the better. But you lack the resolve I asked for. No matter, I sense that my intervention can give you that self worth and desire you need to pursue this want. To better the universe."] After the tapping died down, the crimson skies would flicker and a bright light would envelope the nearby crimson waters to reveal a more heavenly figure in the hellish landscape. A blue skinned woman with pointed ears and a protruding horn. A lunar staff is held in her hand as she had it raised over her head before settling down and landing feet down on the earth just next to the half demon. Another tap of the staff and she'd purse a smile from her lips at him.
"As you already told me, there is great need for things to be changed. As much as I do not like being an interventionist my hand has been forced by the powers you brought up. Bernael, of Earth, give me this chance to properly introduce myself before you. I am Diana, Grand Supreme kai of this place you call the universe." She'd bow her head for a solid second to him, crossing an arm under his chest and tilting her head into the support of her hand as she looked the boy over now physically. Talking about height now, she was an absolute amazon even compared to her male counterparts. Over six feet, hidden under a small robe.
"If what you have posited is true... Then you are one of the most influential one of our children. If I can turn that power and influence into resolve and willpower, I could give you the strength to change everything. First thing first... We shall get you out of a place worthless to a redeemer like yourself. Hell is no place for you, child." She'd offer a hand to him with a smile, raising some brows at him genuinely.

The demonic boy would wince a bit feeling the tapping in the back of his head, listening to what the voice said making him feel a little bit down. He had bolstered how he himself felt, but perhaps it wasn't enough truly. It made sense, he had a long way to go and there was no way for him to entirely flip the switch in one go. Thus, he was still determined that there was a chance for him yet, he just had to work on it. He would smile to himself softly and nod a bit before he would see a flicker in the sky, curious as to what it was, he would squint his eyes to see what came of it.
Soon after, he'd shield his eyes from the bright light that shone down from above, for a moment he thought that something was about to smite him and that this was the end of him but then he'd see a beautiful figure, heavenly in looks to the point that he'd be struck with awe as he saw it descend before him. He'd take note of its features, glancing around her a bit to see if anybody else was with her till he would discern that she seemed to be alone, but was still overwhelmed with a curiosity of who or what she even was. When she smiled, he didn't know if it was a smile of mischief or goodwill, but no matter what it was he couldn't help but smile slightly back at the figure.
He would stand silently as she explained a bit to him, making his eyes widen slightly as he heard what she said. "So you're the one who was talking to me... I-I thought that was nothing, I-I am sorry that I didn't realize sooner, your greatness." he would give a formal back, mirroring her head bow in timing but with a lot more respect given to her with it before he would stare back at her. "It is nice to meet you, Diana, t-though you already know who I am in detail I suppose." he wouldn't question her much as she looked over his body, just sort of accepting what she was doing. From what he could tell, she seemed alright... but even what she responded back to him made him curious, this all seemed too good so what if she too was one of those people he needs to question the surroundings of? They were in Hell, and she came out of nowhere, all of these words she spoke could be lies, but he had to take the only chance he had. If this turned out to be another bad situation that he was getting himself into, he'd just have to try to resolve it as soon as he could.
"I don't know if I hold much influence over much but maybe the Demon Realm if my Aunt would still believe that I trust her... but, I will do anything that you wish of me. If I can truly make a difference I swear I'll do everything within my power to get it done, and even if I don't have enough power I will give it every last bit that I have. And if you can truly give me the strength to change everything, I will accept it with open arms and use it for all the good that I can." he would stare up at her a bit with how tall she was, smiling back as he would nod, reaching his hand out and taking her own hand when she offered it. He felt like this was his one chance to change anything, whether this was a trap or not this was the one way he could go.
Her smile would remain despite her brows furrowing at the lack of confidence he held in her truths. Further yet her big kai ears twitched as the boy said he'd do it for her. He seems to have missed the point of her beginning lecture. She'd let out a sigh and let his hand rest for the moment on her palm, closing her eyes to concentrate. At first... nothing happened. It was just the warmth of her hand against his.
"You've a ways to go yet, Bernael. You seem to mistake my offer. Think of me as... the guiding hand towards your goals. This task is not for my sake, but yours. If your will is to go against wicked fate and deal with what you've done then so be it. You're the one in control here. I'm your eyes to the blindness you cannot see past just yet. I won't give you strength, I'll... merely awaken you to your own inner potential. Your inner willpower to change your fate. You have to learn plenty on your own to achieve this enlightenment. Now witness me as I give you visions and take you to my home among the other planes." It was one of the only ways she could rationalize doing any of this while sticking to her hands off principles. With a deep breath she'd sigh and allow her consciousness to deeper bind into Bernael's, sending him voluntary images should he accept her touch further. Darkness surrounded the two of them as plenty of figures stepped around them, simulated from memories and visions of her own that she'd allow him to experience himself.
A small saiyan child, chained and beaten by several others zoomed past first. Another of a elderly woman reaching into some sort of space pod and pulling out a small, gray complected baby wrapped in cloth. A castaway saiyan, abandoned by his parents as a bastard walked alongside dealers and crooks. A young Nasu, well into young adulthood, misunderstood and told off by a blonde knight and some of her contemporaries. As it passed by the closest to them the signs of anger and hatred appeared on his face before he stormed away in the opposite direction. A young child, mistreated by humans for their abnormal powers and demon like characteristics cried beside them and vanished. As this part went through she'd start speaking again.
"I speak of fate and your will to change it in a greater sense. Nobody is born sour or wicked in the same vein no one is born a hero or a savior. Actions cause reactions that echo throughout time. Many thousands of years of people influencing events. Even the tiniest of infractions can lead someone astray and cause entire movements to form within societies, and some bigger, more traumatic events, can lead to chaotic tyrants. This is how it has always been. In a way, the universe was always balanced on this principle. Every action has a cumulatively equal reaction. Those who seek to destroy society or force it under their will have always been met with people who impose their own will to stop these and keep peace among their people or the entire galaxies they are in. The cycle repeats itself constantly.
But something has changed." She'd allow more visions to run a muck. The wishing balls Bernael placed before Jarvis as a sinister cackle erupts from him passed by swiftly. Soon after of that same man taking over a planet with golden and silver rain, downcaste. A more recent saiyan king conquering an entire planet, systematically going around and enslaving the local brenchian populace under its thumb. A familiar demon, he'd recognize as his aunt, blew up into scene and set a world alight. The toasty sensation could almost be felt. Another brunette haired girl losing a dear friend and cursing the worlds out in rage and fury. To contrast, now, she'd shine a vision of a saiyan warrior doing hard work alongside a blue haired mate, happy and content that they were together on the blue marble Earth. Signs of a shot haired saiyan releasing his form as an angel in disguise, shedding wings and activating some technique, a red aura surrounding him. A determined red head, lit aflame and pushing herself in a white backdrop, possibly familiar as the time chamber to the boy. An older man, recently deceased, sacrificing his life to ave a relative saiyan. She gave no direct context other then what she showed but would smile and open her eyes again to meet his gaze.
"This balance... It has been broken. Something far beyond our own foresight as gods have made the chaos so prevalent that our universe is threatened with destruction from the inside. Nobody's willpower and strength is now strong enough to bring a proper balance. They butt heads but always clash and just destroy collectively. No side wins for the other to react. No mortals see this as an issue until a peer of mine, Mar, showed them in person the danger. Our own angels and Destroyers beside us are displeased with the state so much that, well, we teeter onto being destroyed from the outside too." The darkness would soon fade, but they were not where they were before. Instead, the two would be standing in grassy fields with rolling hills, select blue-green leafed trees with an orange, cloudy sky. If this was hell, it was a nice part of it. She'd allow him to take his hand away and lean into her staff for a bit.
"Welcome to the kai's planet in otherworld, Bernael. Here, we have trained past warriors with the same potential drive you yourself have. I myself have never partaken in such matters, I've much more respect for nature running its course, but it is now my duty to start somewhere."

A crimson wave would wash over Bernael's face as the woman spoke, it was one of being slightly embarrassed as he realized he was treating himself in all the wrong ways. He was too used to treating himself like a tool to be used like others, and that was what got him into many of his messes in the first place. In the end, he should have just followed his own path with his own rules. He should have done things for his own sake while still pushing on the path of good. He was too selfless for his own good and each selfless action carried horrible consequences in the end. "You're right... I realize now that I've been making myself an object to be used this entire time, even now when I responded to you. Even when you are giving me a chance, I took a moment to give myself as nothing more than a weapon than a person with a train of thought. All the strength that I get from this won't be granted or given, it will be my own strength. I will listen to what you have to say and take it to heart. I will learn everything I need to know to push past these barriers that I have placed on myself." he would smirk and give a brief nod as she brought up being taken to her home, as well as the visions.
Yet, he had no idea truly what he was getting himself into, as the first vision manifested itself before him, and in the next instant, it was gone. Even with how fast that they were whisking by him, he felt like each vision lasted for longer than they should have, and his vision started to spiral between them faster than his mind could really understand what was going on. Some of them seemed familiar and others like nothing but a picture on a page for him to learn from. Part of him wanted to close his eyes and stop it all from continuing, but he just kept pushing on, desiring to learn more and see what was being shown to him as not a single fraction of himself pushed back against her touch and what it was doing to him.
Every single word that she spoke seemed to ring out in his head multiple times over as he just focused on each one, the visions being locked into his mind alongside it all, and some of it made his head want to burst, but he pushed forward nonetheless, silence draping over him as he spoke not a single word back, but rather decided to analyze further into what was being said. Though his heart would skip a beat the moment that she told him that something changed, it was obvious that something bigger was going on as more visions started to flash into his head and zip by him in streams of light.
This time, each vision that flashed by seemed a lot more intense, almost like they were trying to consume his very mind. Once more, some of the people within the visions were familiar to him, as others were not. Some of the vision struck him harder than the rest as he just kept pushing forward, determined to see everything that the Supreme Kai had to offer to him from these visions. It seemed that it all paid off, as finally, the visions and their aggressiveness would calm down and start to caress his skin with hope. The visions that flashed by now seemed to be ones of self-sacrifice, determination, compassion, and many other powerful emotions that resonated with positive emotions and closure. As the last images would flash by, the boy would begin to listen to Diana's words once more.
The words she spoke once more, caught his focus with every syllable as he dissected them as much as he could. Everything seemed to be hanging in a broken balance, nothing was how it should be. Everything being threatened by destruction inside and out surely wasn't a good thing to hear, but he just kept his face as straight as he could the entire time, understanding that what she spoke of would continue whether or not it hurt how he felt, all that could be done was finding a way to fix it. As the darkness faded away from him, in the vast open fields that she brought them to, his silence would finally fade away. "I want to... no, I will do everything, possible or impossible, to change the outcome that we are spiraling towards. It is not a matter of I must, or I have to anymore... I will do this because it is what I have chosen." his words, albeit a bit shaky, were filled with a spark of determination. If nobody could fix anything, then he had to be the one to fix everything.
Finally, his moment of being all too serious would be broken away by how beautiful everything was, he would listen intently to what she stated next, nodding firmly to himself before turning to face her so that he could gaze into her eyes once more. "Thank you... for bringing me here. And although at first, it was hard to handle, thank you for showing me everything that you did. My eyes have been partially opened to what the universe truly is right now." he would close his eyes, almost like he was in thought for a moment, staring at her once more. "All I have to ask right now is... where do I start?" his heart was burning with a warm desire. He had slacked off for so long, but for once in his life, his desire was burning to move ever-forward, by his own will, no longer anyone else's.
His change to her words and advice was settling. The big woman would smile as he decided upon himself to take up all this and put the weight on his shoulders. There were plenty of places to start, but since they were among her own planet and he was still a dead man with a spiritual body she'd have to make due and teach him lessons elsewhere later. Her main intentions were to show him how to manipulate people around him for the betterment of himself. But...
"To start?... A test of power, perhaps. It is not the most important thing you possess but it is necessary to carry your will. It is a shame many with such strong wills never obtained sufficient direction and power to use it properly. It also applies the other way around. They may have extraordinary strength and power, but lacked will to use it for themselves. To better oneself, and instead lost themselves as people." She'd glance around the open fields and start walking up one of the gentle hills above, its grasses blowing in a persistent low wind. Beckoning the boy to follow with a graceful flip of her hands towards him.
"Without even transforming I can sense a great deal of strength behind your ability. I wish to test this ability to fight. It is, of course, the most obvious way to get across your will. And one we can do relatively easily without lessons needing be learned. So go on and try to strike at this..." A flicker of energy swelled up in her as she consciously powered up, extending her staff and waving it around in a circular motion once before a large black cube appeared hovering above Bernael. It'd remain steady as she calmed and stood firmly at the base of the hill, smile across her face.
"Katchin. The strongest material in the universe. But it has no ability to lash out or impose its non existent will. That is why you shall have no problem breaking through this, I'm sure. Any method you see fit, child. So long as it is split into halves or even shattered." She'd offer, waiting to see how he'd approach the challenge given. Power: [True Power(x10): 600,000 PL!]

The demon boy would turn and follow the Grand Supreme Kai closely as soon as she beckoned him to follow, listening intently to every word as she spoke and just nodding along before stopping as she spoke to him even further. "You can sense something like that within me? Well, I won't disappoint you whatsoever. I won't use my full power right off the bat... I want to test myself a bit, without really transforming... but I promise that you won't be disappointed." he'd smirk to himself a bit as he watched her power up. Her power was immense compared to before, it was quite the sight to admire for the Demon Boy, to see such a heavenly figure release her power in front of him. It took him a second to break his focus from that, turning his focus upwards as she started to create something above the boy.
For a moment he thought he was going to get crushed by the large black cube, and braced himself to react in case it started to come at him, but it seemed to just be hovering as he slowly went off guard and cast a glance towards the Supreme Kai once more as the black block remained in the sky. It seemed that whatever it was, this would be what he was going to train on, and whether he liked it or not, he knew that it was only going to be a small part of his progress. He listened to her words intently, nodding a bit to himself before looking up at the black material with a smirk. "Strongest material in the universe huh? Everything has its own limits, even the strongest force of nature has a breaking point. So if I must break through this material, I'll annihilate it... but first." he would slowly close his eyes, getting into a relaxed stance as he breathed in and out.
Slowly, his power would start to rise as a dim white glow would form around his body. The light causing his hair to appear much brighter than before while he stayed in the relaxed stance the entire time, showing as much control as he could while the glow would get brighter and brighter. "This has been a long time coming... I haven't done this in forever... but it still feels so... natural" He'd mutter as his hair would suddenly spike up on its ends, flowing from the power waving back and forth. Finally, his power would reach its stopping point and the light would die down, just surrounding him in a soft white aura that brightened the color of his hair.
"Ever since I was young... I'd have problems controlling my anger, and my powers would enhance five-fold. I had no idea what it was, I thought it was a form of adrenaline. Early into my adventuring, however, I found a way to control my anger and unleash that adrenaline like an ocean tide rather than a water hose. This power within me has been far overshadowed by transformations that I have learned, but... I believe it is as true to myself as I can be. So I will break this material like this." he would smile over to the Kaioshin, before getting into a combat stance, staring down the cube like it was an obstacle before him that he had to annihilate, no matter how long it took.
"I won't let anything get in my way anymore. I won't just climb over this wall, I'll leap right over it!" he'd state firmly before a large red blade would appear in his hand, and he'd rush forward, clashing the blade against the black material as hard as he could. He didn't care if he was unable to destroy it in a single swing, he knew it had a breaking point, and he'd persevere until it was nothing but space dust!
She'd watch his grandeur passively, pale orange eyes looking the boy up and down as he transcended and took about an older form. The half blood boy definitely took more from his demon side, but that was by coincidence. He couldn't control every little bit of his life. Bracing still for the impact as he drew a sword he'd speak of this being his true self. Fair enough, she'd smile and go along as he strove to dive his blade at the block with a fierce attack. For the quick moment it'd seem the slash did nothing to the block, it hovering still for a second onward. But as soon as reality caught up she'd feel the block slide from her grasp. TTwo halves splitting apart before tumbling between them, standing upright then falling to the sides from momentum, a cleared path between her and Bernael still.
"And your true self strikes firmly against a still object. Very impressive for a blade not endowed by the other meddling kais to cut through such material. However, other forces in this universe are not still objects. They are beings with their own will to enforce. They won't go down to a simple strike. Even if their body renders under your power their ideas carry on. It is their will and vision that you must best to impose your own. This is what makes conflict hard. You shall learn more about it once we get back to the world of the living and experience such things first hand." She'd take a breath in before giving the boy one last glance, lowering her head and concentrating for just a moment until the two halves flew up to the air again and slammed hard against one another, being seemingly whole as one. With a simple motion the supreme kai would then hurl the block forwards, planning to smash the katchin against the readied boy. She figured he'd be more than capable of dealing with it.
"And at the same time their own will clashes with yours, attempting to smother the dreams and hopes your ideas spouted. Avoiding the situation or simply denouncing their position without tackling it with power or influence will only lend people further down the path to usurp what you've tried creating. This, is why the universe was in balance to this point. Mortals have gotten too strong that entire civilizations can be wiped without a thought put behind it as to why. A false god rules as if his will is absolute and has been very effective at crushing opposing wills... Well, most of them." She'd offer a bit more, waiting for his response to her block's assault on him.

With his attack following through against the black, Bernael would jump back, landing to stare at the black with a look of intent. "Seems that it'll take a bit more than that, oh well, time to try this aga-" he'd speak with an excited tone a bit as he raised his hand almost like he was about to start a different attack, but he would cut himself short of his speech as the block started to split into two halves of its original form. "I spoke too soon... I suppose I shouldn't jump to conclusions." he'd mutter as he just powered down out of his Mastered Power, his hair falling down into its normal state as he smiled through the path to Diana as he listened to her speak. "That was the first attack I ever mastered in my life... but it doesn't even compare to other stuff that I have been taught." he'd stare down at his hand that he used to make the attack, remembering the pendant that he made that he uses as a prayer symbol for Excalibur. But even then he'd pay attention to each word that the Kaioshin spoke, looking to learn all that he could. "You're right, I'll most likely never encounter someone who will stand still and take something like that... and most importantly their ideas will carry on in whoever follows them, listens to them, and will follow them into the other world. My blade can strike true, but I will make sure my words pierce deeper till even they question what they originally believed." he'd speak over to her, trying to remain determined to get through all of this and even further. "I've already seen those harsh conflicts... sometimes people have their own goals that I just don't understand, so I don't know how to combat them, or am at a loss on how to combat them. I am sure that there are more out there that I haven't seen, and many that I could learn from." he'd stare a bit seriously over to the Kaioshin now with his fist clenched.
Though, that was when she started to do something weird, as the block that he had seemingly severed in two would rise up and move back together. It most likely wasn't formed back together but rather forced into a single picture for him to see before it was launched at him with immense force. For a moment, he started to prepare to evade the block, but the words that the Kaioshin spoke of next just got him thinking. 'This is a combat way to visualize wills clashing against one another... I think. If I dodge, it's just avoiding it and leaving it for someone else to deal with, and in this situation that is pointless. I could block... but that would just be hiding from it and ignoring it.' the boy would think to himself for a moment before his body would just glow with a dark red energy, his hair not spiking up this time but his ki rising much higher than it did before, his hair turning a dark black as he got into a ready position and glared towards the flying block. 'I'll fight it head on! I'll give it just enough to show that it has no hold over my own will, as well as slow down how much it's trying to go forward!' he'd speak to himself in his mind again, as he rushed at the block, throwing a palm strike at the block in a mix of trying to slow it down and push it back all in one martial arts move, his power was greater than it even without using excess ki as the block would begin to slow down and he'd just hold it there if it wasn't going to go forward anymore. "..It is foolish to expend more energy than is needed trying to fight someone's will. And no matter what, I don't want to smother anybody else's will myself." he'd state firmly over to Diana as he just stayed pressed against the block, gripping into it more as he just thought more on what she said.
"Mortals were never supposed to get this strong, were they? Least, while alive? And they weren't supposed to force themselves back alive. I was determined to stay in this afterlife for as long as I needed because I felt it wasn't right for me to force myself back into the living realm when the end to my story had finally come to pass. Right now... I know that my story is far from over, but I won't let my existence get in the way of other's lives. I will let those whose lives have yet to end, flourish without my meddling. The chapter of my life as a semi-human boy who lived on Earth is over. But my new chapter begins here... and I want to see where it will lead." each word he gave would feel a bit longer than the last for himself as he dragged on what he thought about all of this, his voice becoming cold as he would remain in his more Demonic transformation and just stand there, looking to the sky after a moment.
"That false god... Caesar. He is undergoing the same thing, I think. He had so much potential for greatness back when he was the Blue Scoundrel, Jarvis. But that chapter ended, and Caesar was born from the corpse that was laid to rest. I've come to terms with that now, he is no longer the friend that I wished to save, but I believe that I can do something more, to impose on his current will... to get back some fraction of the soul lost to time. Though, I don't suppose I should take up a new name myself... if I am to be somewhat of an opposite to his transition." the boy would let his hand slide off of the Katchin block and look towards the Kaioshin once more, seeing what more she had for him. "Diana... all of what you say fascinates me so much. I'd be lying if I didn't say I am honored by all that you have shown me thus far. But I know that I have a long way to go, and I am determined to see it through to the end."
[Full-Fledged Demon: 3,102,140 PL] [AD] Martial Arts 20%:620,428 PL vs 600,000. Excess power unused to just hold the block in place for now. Stamina: 2/5 -> 3/5
His response was unexpected. Instead of striking against it even harder, or working around the incoming block, he instead struggled with it head on in a literal battle meant to be metaphor. It was beautiful, and get her to nod several times for his effort. The large, cold block would shudder in the boy's grasp and grind to a halt, almost seeming still now that he held it firm. The supreme kai would start making a round across the block and him, the woman studying the young demon with yellow eyes.
"That does not give past generations credit enough. There have been very strong heroes and conquerors alike. Eons apart, they've come in predictable cycles. Just before, the last generation saw rise to the super saiyajin, something having laid dormant for a thousand years. A 'Queen Lettis'. You are correct about the afterlife however. People like Lettis have died off, like the many strong powers of before. That is one of the true reasons there is an afterlife; To keep people of all creeds in check. Once you were killed, you'd be put somewhere you could not bother the recovering galaxy, or something to that effect. This disturbing anomaly of reviving oneself started with, yes, that Caesar. Jarvis. Twice he should have been considered dead and not an issue to the living realm but both times, even without the graces of the dragon balls, he managed to escape with the breath of life returned to him.
This is why things are a mess now. Those who are strong are strong for reasons they do not understand in scope, and they continue to live several times past their expiration date. You, too, will be a culprit of this in due time as well, young one, but I will be there to examine this strange occurrence myself. I will alleviate you of this cardinal sin however s the universe now is far more important than trying to keep the mortals in line. As much as I don't like putting things in line as is." Diana would go on to explain, having rounded completely around the pair of intertwined being and block once and was now back behind the thing. With a snap of her fingers the block would vanish to reveal her form ahead of him. The woman offering another hand to take.
"You are starting to understand then. Your want to not oppose other people's wills is admirable... but there was some whom need to have their wills crushed, as their will alone will dominate others as well. The balance teeters on heroes smothering out the will of the oppressors much like the good eventually dying does similarly. Take my hand once more, Bernael, as we come to explore more visions once again. Once they fade then maybe you can understand even deeper why I say this is unusual, and why it had been this way for eons prior." She waited for him, smiling with a head lifted. A breeze flowed across the tall grasses and tickled now at their legs, the seldom and sparse trees giving a soft rustling as the winds came through.

Slowly backing off from the block, the Demon boy's hair would fade into its normal magenta color. His eyes would follow her along, staring at the Kaioshin as she spoke to him once more. He hung on the end of every word once more, trying his best to understand the meaning of what she spoke of. He thought over Caesar, once more, and how even this seemed to start with him. "I wonder if there is any limit to how many times people who have found a way to rip themselves from this place can do it. A part of me worries that it could very well be a problem that will persist till the source is found... not that I know how to do any of that, just, speculating I guess.." he'd stay in thought, firmly planted in the same spot as he followed along with the Kaioshin's gaze.
He'd wince a bit at her next bit of dialogue, shaking it off and smiling softly. He understood his part to play in this, and even if he was to commit sin, he'd make up for it a lot more in the greater picture. "Sometimes purposeful sin that causes the downfall of oneself is what is needed to help many. You don't need to trouble yourself by alleviating me of any sin I may commit, I will make sure to pay it back in full. I'll use it only to help the universe as a whole, otherwise, I am determined to stay here in the Afterlife and doing all that I can to better myself, the generation after can do all that it needs to move forward, I am sure." he'd look down, a bit of a soft look to his face as he just kept his smile the entire time he spoke, shaking his head a bit again.
The boy would watch as the block would vanish now, cleared up from his path towards where she was now. It seemed that the block had served its purpose and was now gone, he too would do the same someday. He'd blush a bit as she corrected what he had said, and it was certainly a fair objection to his statement that he would nod along to. "Yes... I suppose some of them have grown too strong to just be, left alone like that. It is not that I don't want to oppose their wills I suppose, but rather I don't want to leave them without anything left, taking everything from someone is the perfect way to push them to revenge. Rather, I want to make an example out of it, push them to the brink till even they think it'd be best to change, that way they have something new to keep as their own. If that doesn't work, then I will know how lost they are, and crushing it will be a lot more viable to me." he'd speak as truthfully as he could to how he felt, but still understood where the Kaioshin was coming from and sought to meet her halfway on it.
Finally, he would nod contently, walking towards the Kaioshin and taking hold of her hand with a smile. He'd relax to feel the breeze for a moment longer before replying. "I am ready for these visions, Diana. I promise I will treat them with the same respect as the last and look to draw my own conclusions from them." he'd keep his hand holding hers, ready for whatever that she decided to show him till the very end. The last visions were a lot to handle but he had the belief that he could make it through these as well without a second thought.
