Whenever a player dies, for whatever reason, they are sent to other world as a poofy white cloud. When this happens, you must create a thread at the check in station, pleading your case to the great Queen Yemma! From there, Queen Yemma will review your achievements in life and deem whether you are going to the upper worlds, or down to the pits of HFIL. Don't try to fight it, your power level is 0 and clouds have no means to fight.
All's not lost however! You can still roleplay as a cloud and earn soul points for your threads! These soul points are the key to returning your character to their body and returning you to the land of the living or perhaps even learning some of the afterlife techniques from a trainer!

Spiritual Points
This currency has only one purpose: buying the afterlife perks. Any remaining SP after you revive is ultimately lost, so be mindful of how you use them and when to request them as reward for your threads.

Spiritual Body (2000 SP)
The first milestone to be reached upon dying is trying to restore your body! Remarkable warriors from good and evil will usually have a ki powerful enough to be able to materialize their body upon dying, but that’s not a feat easily attained by most.
However, once you acquire your Spiritual Body, even if you end up dying a second or third time you will be able to retain your body and head straight to your judgment while looking all good!
A Spiritual Body, however, has the perks of its own! For starters, it does not age! Meaning no matter how long you decided to stay in the afterlife, you will not age a day! Forever young, I want to be forever young…~~
But that’s not all! The physical strains that afflicts mere mortals have far less power here, meaning a dead character will have +1 to his total stamina pool (to a new maximum of 6, with few exceptions). Isn’t that great?!
Finally, being dead makes developing your power easier! Whenever you request PL for a thread, your BMM level will be reduced, thus granting you better gains! Being dead is not so bad after all!
Tier 1: Makaioken/Kaioken
This tier grants them access to a special kind of transformation, which is the Kaioken/Makaioken, which is a technique that multiplies the user's ki for a "heart beat", enabling them to inflict serious damage to opponents who are considerably stronger than them. This technique, if abused (used for more than 3 turns), will cause the user to suffer a penalty to their maximum power level for every extra turn they use it, which is further enhanced if they use it together with a transformation, following this table:
x2 = No penalty.
x3 = 3%/6% transformed
x4 = 4%/8% transformed
x5 = 5%/10% transformed
x6 = 6%/12% transformed
x7 = 7%/14% transformed
x8 = 8%/16% transformed
x9 = 9%/18% transformed
x10 = 10%/20% transformed
** The penalty is applied AFTER the user deactivates the Kaio-ken.
** Once used, the user has to wait 2 rounds to activate it again!
Tier 2
This tier grants access to the most powerful technique of the entire board. This technique does not have a charging limit and therefore could theoretically be charged to unlimited potential. On top of that, you can also add the power of your allies to this super special attack.
[FINISHER] Spirit Bomb / Wrath Bomb:
Users of the Spirit Bomb gather huge amounts of energy from all chosen surrounding life forms and inanimate objects to conduct that energy into a massive sphere of astounding destructive power. Energy takes the visual form of sparkling, glittering wisps when adding to the mass that are usually blue and/or white in color. The creation of the attack promotes a calm breeze away from the bomb, which turns into a strong continuous gale and expels colorful bands or radiation of Northern Lights-esque aurora/Black and purple. The Spirit/Wrath Bomb is quite swift when used and, if the user is not careful, it can absolutely obliterate a planet.
Charging potential is according to the user's Potential, as it reflects their ability to communicate with the world and universe around them:
Level 1: 50%
Level 2: 75%
Level 3: 100%
Level 4: 125%
[Has double the speed and damage against the opposing alignment. Allies can add energy to it from afar, limited by the user’s ki sensing skill and ability to communicate with them (they can freely add up to 3 times their full PL by using all of their stamina pool). Can be bounced back by people of the same alignment.]
There’s more to the afterlife than just the Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb! Characters can also learn the Fusion Dance from the Metamorans, as well as how to unlock their absolute potential!
Fusion Dance (Tier 1)
These are semi-important characters in the world of DBU who are chosen to help combat the greater threats of the Universe together. Fusion Dance is not a technique that the user needs to purchase a tech slot for, but simply a mechanic they’ve unlocked after spending the necessary SP. The person with Fusion Dance can chose a partner to “teach” the technique too but that partner can only ever use Fusion Dance with that person, as they are merely the accessory to the fusion and do not actually possess the technique for themselves.
Be mindful: having Kaioken/Spirit Bomb AND Fusion Dance will require careful staff scrutiny and will be reserved to the most heroic/evil characters on the board. Don’t expect people to be able to attain them easily (e.g., not even Nasu would qualify for both).
Mystic Form (Tier 2)
The true blessing from the Kaioshin/Makaioshin. Mystic is a x50 permanent transformation that people can unlock in the afterlife if they have reached their Tier 2 transforation (mid-game trans) and have saved up the required SP in the afterlife to purchase it (considering they have been accomplished characters with relevant achievements icly)! Mystic will lock people out of obtaining False God (meaning they must wait till 750k for True God) on account of obtaining this trans early. On the plus side for its weaker modifier- Mystic does not strain a person’s ki unlike normal transformations: you can gain 2 stamina back instead of 1 if you take NO actions that turn! You cannot possess Mystic AND Kaioken, it is one or the other! This is to spread out the benefits of things one can unlock in the afterlife! However, as Mystic you can use a special modifier called “Burst Soul” that works in a similar fashion to Kaioken, adding a +x5 multiplier to a transformation, while draining 10% of your total Health for the thread. Reaching 100% will end up killing you. This balances itself as you can’t have kaioken or false god.

Revival (2000 SP if using Option B)
Reviving from the afterlife can be done by various means as long as they make sense within the roleplay lore, mechanically however one can only escape by a few various means.
A: The dragon balls can be used to bring yourself or an ally back to life.
or
B: Wait for a month in the Afterlife in IRL time. After that month has past you may make a thread to rejoin the Land of the Living.
or
C: A site-wide event can sometimes interfere with the natural order of things.

Afterlife Techniques (Costs 3000 SP to Train Per Tier: Don't Spend without Staff Permission)
Whenever someone dies but has performed remarkable actions of either Good or Evil (sorry Neutral folks…) they will be scouted by the impressive mentors of the otherworld! This means they can be trained by King Kai, if they are a good boy or girl, or by Mira or Towa if they are a naughty boy or girl. Depending on their achievements, they may be granted the Tier 1 or Tier 2 of the training.Tier 1: Makaioken/Kaioken
