Crushing Anger [Tarro]

Tarro was a bit surprised to see a mothership arriving. He thought all the Saiyans were staying on Namek to stay out of trouble during this whole Tournament of Power bullshit that was going on. To be honest: without Tomina here Tarro was getting kind of bored. It was a painful time without his mate, as he lost both his rock and his main training partner. There was Karota as well, but she wasn’t available for training always. Tomina had a hunger for many things, and training was one of those things. Her endless energy and drive kept Tarro on his toes, and helped him advance more than anyone else did.

Without her he felt himself beginning to stagnate a little, and it was quite frustrating.

Nonetheless Tarro put his frustrations aside to check this thing out. The Alliance Saiyans looked at him kind of funny when he arrived, as they all knew this wasn’t really a great place for him to be. But they knew better than to say anything to him. In fact Tarro recognized a few of the faces working the area, as he was also a former Alliance member. He saw from a far distance that a kid arrived, and an upset one at that…

He wondered what the hell could have happened.

He subtly followed the kid, suppressing his energy and following him to the shore where he would later be found skipping rocks. If Tarro didn’t know any better he’d think the kid was just being moody. But it looked like something important had happened that Tarro had missed. Where had he been heading again? Tarro wasn’t exactly keen on the details.

“What’s got you so down, kid?” Tarro would greet him bluntly, as he flew down in front of the kid. The Kingdom Saiyan was not exactly being subtle with his entrance. He was straight to the point.

Tarro could tell that the kid was upset. It didn't take a genius to pick up on the tells. And it was only this information that stopped Tarro from being upset at the apprehension everyone in this damn faction felt in his presence. They essentially treated him like a terrorist. But he would bitch about it another time.

The soldier could tell this was a delicate situation, plus the lad was still a kid. He wasn't going to rant at him. The kid asked him what he wanted. Tarro simply stood silent for a moment, gathering his thoughts to find an answer. What did he want here?

“I don't know… Maybe I sensed your pain and wanted to help… what's your name, kid?”

Tarro asked him, crouching down on one knee. “Believe it or not some of us do more than just clobber people all day long…” he joked, though he doubted the kid would respond to it. Tarro knew what the kid was feeling ironically more than most. The guy from the faction he was told to fear was the only one capable of understanding him. He had lost everything when Natto blew up.

“I'm sorry. All I can say is that I've been there.”

Tarro processed the name. “Beat” huh? Not a bad name. Tarro kept a serious face on, simply responding back. “Tarro,” he said, giving his own name back. Tarro knew this was a time for listening, and so he would let Beat speak his mind. It was only fair. So it was true - the Demons had attacked the Planet Earth. Tarro suspected that they wouldn’t be playing along with the rest of the factions, and that they would use the Tournament of Power to their advantage. Tarro listened to the boy speak his tale. His stern, serious expression softened a little bit. “It’s funny… It’s like I’m looking at myself…,” Tarro thought to himself in reflection, listening to the kid blame himself and hate himself for things beyond his control. And it was even worse for him, because he was just a kid. Tarro was a full adult dealing with that intense grief and guilt. But Beat probably hadn’t even fucked his first girl yet, despite the fact he was dealing with the world on his shoulders.

The details of the story were fairly similar to his own. Getting in over his head, trying to help his people out from a disaster, being unable to transform, it was uncanny the amount of details were similar between the two. If it wasn’t so tragic, it’d be kind of funny.

Tarro however clenched his teeth, because it wasn’t funny. Turning into a Super Saiyan, his hair golden and his eyes an emerald-teal, the Saiyan released an overwhelming amount of power. Before Beat would be able to react, Tarro punched him in the stomach. He held back enough to be sure that it didn’t kill or knock him out. But it would definitely hurt. Anger and sadness were heavy in his voice.

“You idiot! That’s not on you!” he said, his face shriveled up as his body trembled from the overpowering emotion. A small tear shed, falling down the side of his face. Despite the harshness of his actions and words: Tarro was showing a softer side. “You’re still just a kid, no matter how strong you might be, no matter what race you are! To be the line of defense, the one to protects the people - that’s the job of the adults!

If you wanna hate someone, then hate the adults who failed to act, or were too weak to stand up! But it’s cruel to hate on people who did their best. So if you wanna channel your anger, hate the Demons! The cowards who struck down the planet while the strongest of us were away at the Tournament of Power! The ones who would dare to threaten the Mortal Level during the one time when we all need to stick together!

Direct that anger towards them! Let it power you, and become stronger! You’re so young, kid… Don’t waste your life like I did and wallow in this pathetic self-pity and self-loathing…,” he said, looking down.

“I was a lot older than you when I lost everyone. My mother, my friends, my comrades, and my home. Everyone I ever held dear to me vanish before my eyes. Have you lost everyone, kid? Then devote yourself to becoming stronger so you can avenge them. But if you haven’t, then cherish the ones who are still alive…
Not everyone’s so lucky… But most importantly… Don’t waste this chance you’ve been given. You managed to survive. Think of all the ones that ARE dead, and how much they wish they could be alive. If you waste your life feeling sorry for yourself, then you might as well be dead too.

And that’s a damn shame for all of them… This is a tragedy already…,” he would finish off.

It was rare for Tarro to be so damn talkative, practically ranting at the kid (who was probably still recovering from his punch.)

Tarro sighed, the shaking stopping as he let it out everything. He turned his back on the kid, and flew off in the distance. Beat would have to digest everything Tarro say, and figure out what to do next. Tarro couldn’t make the decision for him.

But Tarro hoped that he would not waste it.

Tarro transformed into a Super Saiyan and punched Beat really hard in the stomach. He gave him a lecture to take to heart, and then took off.
