After two years it was finally complete. The Capsule Corp main office was now in Republic City. In truth the actual building itself was complete a few days ago. The furniture was still being moved into the building though, so not everything was set yet.
Cryonia currently stood outside the building, looking up at the logo plastered onto the front. Two years. It had been two years since she had joined forces with Rukia. In that time she had trained with her to get stronger, gathered Elemi and Bijou loyal to her, made some dealings with the rest of the Elemi, and many other things to promote her influence.
And of course she had done quite a lot on behalf of Rukia. Now she was being given the keys to the bank, so to speak. Capsule Corp sold some of the best products on the market. Being in charge of that meant that she would have more access to funds and would be able to able to spread her influence further. And she had Rukia and all the allies she had come to known over these past two years to thank for this opportunity.
The cold environment of Bris didn't seem to phase her at all. She just stood outside, looking up at her company building. The city was primarily full of Elemi and Bijou who can handle this kind of weather. Although she had Elemi under her employ who weren't one of those two types and could still handle this kind of weather. Republic City was truly a wonderful place, and it was her city to run.

Cryonia is claiming the Capsule Corp position. People have 3 days to potentially challenge it. Although considering whose planet this is, that may be Ill advised.
It had been so long since then, but she could never forget the day after her False God ritual, where the hybrid had commented the amount of work they did that morning. Though that had been nothing in comparison to when things had started to settle. Agreements might have been made that day, allowing the Vampires to publicly roam around, but they hadn't truly ruled over the planet. The government had still remained to be intact, and buildings were still standing. Plans had to be made, and more than two years worth of resources had to be gathered in order to even start construction on this society.
And just about every day that had passed, where she didn't wake up to see the beings and buildings that she had expected, the more it should have became obvious to the other woman, just what real work was. It wasn't just the Kold Demons, but the Vampire community as a whole, that had to have been watched on a daily basis. Wintera, humiliated as the alien was, she knew wasn't likely to betray them, knowing the Kolds had laughed at each other's expense.
Any opportunity that could have came with one of the natives, possibly starting to some kind of revolt, she knew the Kold would have jumped at to inform her of. Or possibly go on to take care of things herself. She had a growing number of twenty allies, who were meant to gather resources, but only certain pairs were meant to actually leave the planet in her place, and towards somewhere like Earth or Namek. Two of the common planets that should know Capsule Corp was still alive. Which left about sixteen or so more individuals that had closely worked under her, and the hundreds of Capsule Corp employees that she had.
The latter, a group of them having been sent back to Earth, when the news of its arrival had been announced. But the majority were meant to have stayed on the planet, as she had made so much effort in making their main base operations here. Away from Earth, Namek, and any other planet where she wouldn't have been able to kill who she had pleased. The sixteen individuals went on to split up into more groups, each of which had held a certain focus.
She had people within the Vampire community, who although wasn't loyal to her, did had ties to their kind itself. If the idea of some revolt by the Kolds could have happened, this destructive group would have been the one able to find that out. Something which would leave other groups to do the same, or focus on other areas. She had a Drider who was more than willing to help out an Android scientist, produce some of their products, after patrolling.
There was her long-time Majin ally, who was also capable of doing patrolling, and if needed, putting an end to any petty conflicts the Kolds might have found themselves in. She had Human allies, who were capable of creating some kind of morale with their energy and enthusiasm, while also creating situations that could lead to questioning one of the Kold natives, that might have been annoyed by such energy. Which left her mix of 5 Antediluvians and Matriarchs.
All of which could forcibly control the Vampire community if needed, while measures were taken to listen to any grievances they might have had. It was a group effort in unusual cases, but with how they needed to plan for construction and eventually start it, at least four of them were needed to help the more experienced in construction work, to oversee the topography of things. The Kold Demon planet was large, but due to constant invasions, they hadn't bothered to make use of all of it, as properly as they could have. Mass amounts of land that was snowed over, had been mostly used as just training fields.
There was so much potential, but there wasn't any surprise in her eyes, knowing the natives also usually didn't train. All of this and more, she had worked up to explaining to her partner, over the course of these two years. Their purpose together in overseeing everything, wouldn't come to fruition beyond planning for quite some time. Willing Bijou and Elemi had to be sought out, and certain things had to be maintained or established in the mean time.
A few of those things being how the Moreau family had to have some claim over this giant planet, in some kind of way. Being both a Magi family, and caretakers of abominations that only Humans would really know about from folklore, Wendigo were meant to be introduced to the planet and created.
The family held a system of caverns on their own planet, but such a thing was meant to be created here itself, or possibly turn some of the bunkers already underneath the city into one hosting these creatures. It was due to the methods of their creation, that she hadn't wasted too much time the day after her False God ritual, into wanting to hear and potentially see more of that violent side she had seen from the hybrid, during the ritual.
There needed to be some kind of comfort and trust between them, if they were to really oversee a whole planet together. One of the reasons why that despite knowing she could have likely charmed the other woman into physical activities every night, with the kind of energy that she naturally had from becoming an Antediluvian, and later on having that transformation unintentionally be permanent, she was willing to show she could get by with kisses or just overall contact. It had previously always been something very much frustrating, not having an outlet to rely on, whenever a day's work had exhausted her.
Something that changed after making the decision with the hybrid, that there could have been something more between them, knowing the other woman wasn't someone that came off as if she wasn't deserving of anything more than just physical relations. And it was through all of the time that they had with these preparations, was she really able to show off just how frustrated she could get. There were nights that she found herself enjoying waking up next to the hybrid, but the location of where, was what had made some of these days of longing worth it. The Royal Palace was meant to be their place.
But there was also houses and mansions that she had, which she distinguished between sleeping over at 'your place' and 'my place'. It was these kind of little things, that made things more exciting and enticing to her, as there were also nights where she had outright slept alone.
But a part of their relationship, had also involved her desire in wanting the other woman to be open with her. It didn't matter whether or not it had been too early within the relationship, for either of them to really care for each other, beyond what they were already trying to do.
She wanted to hear and be told whether or not the hybrid had missed her on the nights they slept separately, among other similar things that could have stung anyone else in their position, if they were told 'no'. The other woman could have answered with that calm expression and tone she knew her to have, or that very side of her showing all of that hurt, but they would still be questions that she would repeat and want to hear the answer to the most of anything else. There were even times where she was even hoping to hear the best or worst answers to those questions, in anticipation of feeling something from it.
If even trying to persuade the hybrid a little, through her lips touching that neck that couldn't be bitten into, could have somehow helped lean towards one answer, it was something she would have tried and taken. She wanted the relationship to have meant something to her beyond pursuing what others would have, and going through the motions of it. And one of the most dangerous things she had wanted to see throughout these two years, was the possible hesitation that could come from the other woman's life being threatened. No one unknown could really be trusted for such a situation, which made it only a scenario she had been so willing to play in her mind, over and over again, so it could mean much more to her than it would had it been her own cousin or other allies.
Their relationship was a moment of peace for her, like what night had meant, only something that wasn't limited by time, knowing their natural long lives. Beyond the Moreau family, there was also the Demons, the search for the Bio-Android that she had knew of, and the concern of the Saiyan hybrid belonging to the army of the King of Saiyans. It had only been in the recent past, when she had finally been able to demolish the buildings and dismantle the government of this planet, did she consider the possibility it might have been optimal to have Humans that weren't Capsule Corp employees residing on the planet.
A group she could have blamed for any losses when the Queen of Demons had inevitably attacked. It would have made it more difficult for the Demons to be on the planet. The idea was still something she had in mind even now, but there was doubts on whether or not it wouldn't have been better off not coming true.
Their even more recent work of constructing and starting to finish buildings, the way things were now, made her also doubt the Humans would have been understanding enough to be stationed here. Their kind, along with many other hybrids, failed to understand and see how much status had meant to her.
One of the reasons why she was willing to support the Kold Demons and keep intact the idea of Saiyans and Earthlings, with some exceptions, banned from the planet. Things were coming together now, and there was always going to be annoyances that couldn't grasp that it wasn't necessary for her to greet them.
She had people to do so for her in place, and authorized to take care of things, with how much they knew her. But ignoring the Demons and whether or not to make things difficult for them, the search for the Bio-Android that she had knew for a long time, had been unresponsive in progress. While the Saiyan hybrid that had gone on to her about forming what sounded like a faction where they were figuratively gods, had her ties clearly to this Saiyan Kingdom.
She had wanted to believe that they were friends in a way, but it was a kind of weakness believing in, especially knowing the kind of personality the Elemi had. Around those kind of types, it made her only want to act levelly to their own attitude, like she had when she had met Caesar and could have easily died from doing so, with their gap in power. But he hadn't come back, which meant that what she had brought up to the Queen of Demons, long ago during the West City invasion, had come true. He had gotten himself erased, and it was only a wonder on whether or not he had truly meant anything to that woman.
She wasn't looking to find out, not with her current power. False God had still yet to be a form that she had mastered, beyond no longer needing to drain five other Vampires to help her access the transformation. There was still a very short time limit, but it was also a form she didn't need to necessarily access, no matter how great it felt to do so. This day was so special, knowing that with her recent claim as Queen of Vampires, which would go and oversee the planet, it meant that she would have to give up the position of being Capsule Corp's CEO. Two years of work had been put into making this a possibility.
She had always knew it could have been a possibility, knowing that Queen was a much more important position, and would seal her fate in being charge of a whole planet, rather than just a corporation and its business. For something like this to have come true, only said how much things were going well for her.
Advanced scouters, along with warmer clothing, had already became a norm for those around here, that might not have been able to bear the weather. Not only did having such technology make for secure documentation on possible outsiders, as those were almost constantly sending back info to their headquarters in Yggdrasil, but it also gave a measure of her own power level that was better than just feeling things out. A base of 800,000 was what she was aiming for.
Once reaching that set of milestone, there would be no one but the King of Saiyans himself, that could challenge her. Even the Queen of Demons, who was already far behind her in base, she wouldn't have to worry much of. There would still be caution on that technique that could turn others to stone, but that should have been the only worry with her. It was truly a one-sided hate harbored over as something essentially a hickie, but things could still change.
Republic City was where her partner had decided to place her office at, which was understandable, knowing that all of these new natives, she had helped found. Bijou and Elemi alike were already starting to gather as a crowd, although didn't necessarily let the event going on disrupt their happy lives.
It was certaintly the less hostile of the three cities, holding a kind of atmosphere that had really emphasized the mixed culture around here. Her Majin ally, was back at Keystone, helping to oversee any ships that could have possibly landed, as visitors containing shipment and the like weren't unnatural.
The Majin along with other workers would communicate through technology from there, to direct them towards Liberty to dock, which was within Republic City here. That left her being busy, attending to the Elemi that was slowly walking in front of her. Like a lot of other changes in their lives, it had only been recently, and after being surrounded by other Fire Elemi, did the solution to the problem the girl was struggling with for two years, came to light.
After some commentary on the power the frail Elemi had, all of that heat and such were drained away by a more experienced elemental, returning all of that sensitive skin back, and a clearer conscious. The Elemi certainly carried a bit more of an attitude now, than she previously had, but it was clear she was thankful of just what was going on. All that suffering, and all that pain, had been something she had easily recognized needed to be fixed.
Being in a relationship with the ice hybrid, had essentially made Lithi, their adoptive daughter, but relationships were often complicated when it involved her. The other woman were aware of some things she used to have taken on in her past time, one of which included certain projects.
Individuals like Android 7854, who she had worked on during one of their years, to age the machine up to a proper age of 10, could have easily been considered a mini version of her. Someone that could have also been considered a daughter to them. Android RYU and Android EMI being replicas of her actual friends, was another thing to look past, but now held too much identity to just treat them as parts. And then there was also finally, Amalga, who throughout gaining power as a Vampire, had also started to resembled her a bit. Only there were some bug features, and what she would describe as her as a monstergirl.
Which made it three individuals in total, of different ages, that could have been considered their daughters. She certaintly ahd some favorites, but affection to anyone beyond her partner, was still something seen more behind closed doors than anything else. Those two were still in Yggdrasil, and it was upon approaching the sight of the other woman, did she lightly tap the younger Elemi she was helping to walk. Even despite the frown in her brows, which only reminded her of her cousin, she was still handled the camera left in the care of the girl's neck, with a noticeable and fine camera lens.
A picture had been taken by her, while the ice hybrid had her back turned, before one of her hands had gone to try slipping into the other woman's own. Handholding was just the lightest, but also remained to be one of her favorite ways of being with the hybrid. There was just a certain feeling there that grabbed her attention and felt grounding. Though she wasn't opposed of lightly going further, and even hinting at it, as the contact was brief, and attention was brought to her smile. Her lips had been pursed in a way that briefly tugged at her lower lips, before going on to address the camera.
"It's a nice shot for what it is. And it won't be a day that I'd forget either."
It wasn't also necessary for the other woman to have initiated things either. There was almost always certain moments that she was able to use as easy excuses, to pave the way towards more. Her latter words being the chance she saw to press her lips to her partner's neck. Another favorite of hers.
The camera was still in her hands, though passed back towards Lithi, after having shown it. They actually could have taken some kind of family photo, even without Amalga or Rukiki here, but it was just one of those things she wanted the other woman to notice and hope for. Though it wasn't as if there wouldn't have been any chances. There was a lot about this day, that she could see being the equivalent to how she had felt herself, before the ritual.
"If there's nothing you actually want to address to them, I'd say it's better to go in already. Offices aren't always that busy."
The younger fire Elemi had spoke out, making her presence more known, and the desire to go in, before the building hadn't gotten too busy. Republic City natives should have been more than well aware of what was going on, and while there was an opportunity to do so, it wasn't necessary to give some kind of big speech. Her own takeover at Capsule Corp had taken weeks and held some force. But her own resignation had been turned in some weeks ago, and a successor had been already named in the proper procedures that Earth law would have cared for. There was really no one else who would have been more qualified.
And anyone trying to stop this from happening, was going to have a bad time.

It had been so long since she had last been able to visit her friend once again. This time things were going to be different, she wasn’t going to let the demon queen control over her rule forever, and now that she was in this perfect form, things were going to be forever changed. All that was left now for her freedom from them, was one chip in her neck. One chip that would go boom and possibly would take her out with it. Whether the demon queen had grown aware of her regenerative abilities was one question, whether they would be able to regenerate from such an explosion was another question of its own. One she wasn’t exactly looking forward to finding an answer…the hard way.
It had been perilous having to navigate throughout the asteroid field but was barely a problem for her rather higher tech ship. It simply had taken some time to get through. It was a definite measure to keep the area safer from invasions. That was the one thing for certain. Such natural defenses couldn’t help but raise her confidence. Simply to think that the frost planet had such defenses like these. It was no wonder why it was known as one of the harder planets to explore. The field being so close towards the planet as well? A hard world to survive on, but if her friend was there. That had to mean she had gathered some means to keep this world safe.
As she looked towards the invitation, she began to read through the instruction very carefully. Whoever had fully planned this had been very intricate. Quite intelligent in their handwriting signs. It really held her…curiosity of the writer. Her approach would be aimed towards a docking station of Republic City, she would begin the transfer of her flight data towards the planet, speaking to whoever was on the line her simple message. A message of arrival, but a proper greeting if one could consider such. It was more a formality alternative to the simple approach with no regards for the host. She would stand there with her helmet on as she projected her holographic message to the mission command that would be checking her in.
“This is the Captain of the Hela, T-Fifty Two Class Mothership, I approach having received an invitation to visit an old friend, one I’ve been meaning to see again and yet couldn’t find.”, she would begin to say as she would take her helmet off, her Shapeshifting working its charm as her true form was suppressed for now into her disguised form. The form she had used when she looked like a monster back on Earth. “Tell Rukia, it’s Duvainel, that I’m alive and full of some new tricks.”, she would stare into the hologram, with her amber eyes, the golden specks coming alive from the paleness of her skin. The pink hair being her most common and notable feature.
She wasn’t running away this time. She wasn’t going to die such a pitiful semi-death again.
When the hybrid felt a hand grasp her own, she instinctively squeezed it back. She looked over into the eyes of her lover. Her relationship with Rukia was interesting, to say the very least. There were periods where they acted like a normal couple. They expressed how they felt about each other, they slept in the same bed, and they even had their own adopted children that they raised. In a rather unique way that this relationship brought up.
Yet there were also times where the relationship had unexpected quirks. Rukia had insisted on sleeping apart from one another on more than one occasion. In any normal relationship that would have been the kiss of death. But for Rukia it was just par for the course. She wanted to hear how much Cryonia longed to be with Rukia in their absences from each other. It had taken Cryonia a year to figure out why she did this kind of behavior. It was something that the hybrid accepted about Rukia. For it was something they had in common
Perhaps that was what had attracted her to the Vampire in the first place. Rukia, like her, had trouble feeling things. The Vampire wanted to do all she could to feel something. Cryonia understood that better than anyone. She too was like that. The majority of the time she only felt negative emotions. She only felt positive emotions during very specific circumstances. The desire to feel again was only natural for people like them.
Most of the time Cryonia had been calm about all scenarios that occurred in their relationship. Sometimes she acted sad when they were parted for a period of time. And while she did miss the Vampire in those scenarios, sadness was the one negative emotion she didn't feel anymore. She had cried out what tears she had a long time ago. So she had played the part that Rukia wanted to see. There were just some things she couldn’t do naturally.
Cryonia had been very open with Rukia despite that though. If the Vampire inquired about something, than Cryonia told the truth the vast majority of the time. There were only a couple of things she lied about, mostly relating to how she was feeling sometimes. Trust was a very important aspect to any relationship. And she did care about it, strangely enough. She thought she wouldn’t feel anything outside of their moments together. But surprisingly she did feel a bit for the Vampire outside of those moments.
Things had gone better than Cryonia expected on the development of Republic city. Everything was working in harmony with one another and running smoothly. She had attracted a fair amount of people to it as well. Still she had a long way to go before she got the results she wanted.
Cryonia closed her eyes, a slightly amused smile appearing on her lips. There were brief periods where she felt emotions like this. But they were very fleeting and few and far between. Still, she couldn’t help but be entertained by Rukia’s habit of taking pictures.
“It won't be quite as memorable as your ascension party. But cementing myself in this position will grant me quite a few advantages. It will put me closer to what I'm trying to achieve. And yes Linth, let's go inspect the inside.”
Cryonia moved her way towards the building, walking towards the entrance. She was currently unaware of the presence requesting entrance onto Rosario. It would likely be taken care of by one of Rukia’s allies. Although Cryonia would soon meet up with someone she didn't expect to see again.
What could have been called their relationship, wasn't some magical thing that had fixed all of the issues in their lives. Even with what kind of progress she saw being made throughout these two years, she was still very certain that there were others out there, who had a better relationship.
A thought which she found to have some humor. She had more power than most individuals, and one of the things that came with power, was being capable of establishing security in all sorts of areas, and creating opportunities meant to be enriching. But having power still clearly had its limits.
Secrets were a way to be manipulated and taken advantage of. She was generally an honest person because of this belief, and what could have been viewed as secrets, were either something not meant to be revealed just yet, or too personal to tell just about anybody. There were lots of individuals always insisting on believing their claims were right, and the possibility of fallacies becoming reality, because they were too headstrong of that.
But they would always be wrong in trying to insist something of her, knowing they couldn't understand the simplicity of what status had meant to her, or that culture could be different from theirs. The mortal level was a bit of a deterrent, but she doubted it was something of a permanent one.
With her and the hybrid's relationship, she was likely the most honest one between them, beyond what physical tensions she could find herself dealing with, as an individual with power. It was too uncertain to always tell, but she had no doubts of the idea the other woman might have actually lied, during some of their occasions. Though some of her questions might have expected certain answers, they were still only attempts meant to test any pain.
The kind really expected from a caring relationship, on the idea that one of the other, might have felt lesser about it. But the partial elemental wasn't generally a happy person, which although they shared in common, her own extent lied in not being around other Vampires for a certain amount of time.
It was similar to her need for blood, being one of the consequences of becoming a Vampire. Something she took measures in making clear of, but there was a lot more things about this relationship, which she found that only time could only be reveal. It might have been back then on the day of her ritual, but she had been completely honest when she had spoken about how if she wasn't in a relationship, she would have likely continued being in a number of flings.
She still wished to live the life of an immortal, and it was too much to really expect right now, that this relationship could last beyond the lifespan of a hybrid. Or even the idea that the other woman would have wanted to come back to life, if she had ever died from something not of natural causes.
However they might have really felt towards each other, it was nothing in comparison to the relationship the partial elemental previously had, but she was also not looking for it to be. It was already so easy for things to be purely physical if allowed, though she knew the other woman deserved more than that.
To be able to efficiently rule over a whole planet, she had also needed more than just something she could have found among her allies. There was a lot about the hybrid she had already seen their first day together, that others could have found attraction for. But they meant more to her now, than they did back then. What they had worked for them, and with or without the positions that the partial elemental was apart of, she had never really been someone to discard. Mentality had just been the one strong thing, coupled together with willingness to listen, that helped separate the woman from others.
More than enough time had passed between them, for herself not to have felt like this was something she could have had, with one of the others. They meant something to her as well, but she could distinguish a list with their line of thinking, that just didn't appeal to her like what she currently had.
Attraction formed in different ways, and relationships brought with it their own problems. Making the best of things was just all she could have really done, to rid herself of any insecurities. So much power was within her, and yet there was only so much control she had over these simpler things.
"Who knows what today might have in store? But if nothing exciting happens, I can think of a few things we'd might be able to do."
With how things were all coming together, this wasn't the only place they could have visited today. Republic had locations that could have been nice to personally visit, beyond all of the construction work this city and the others had seen for awhile now. The things she had in mind, could have also just as easily led to what they could have called a normal night, depending on how the mood looked like it might have been headed towards, and responses.
As frustrated as she could be with life, close contact was what had mattered more to her than anything. Her words could have hinted at just that, or hoping for things to have escalated before the day had ended, but it was pretty unclear, whenever she wasn't in such an obvious and good mood.
Though it wasn't difficult to smile at her picture shot, and really think that this day would be memorable. Controlling Capsule Corp gave such political immunity, knowing how even now, they were being asked to work with earth and supply resources. It was a matter of taking precautions for the future, and any signs of movement from the Demons, that could better the chances that they would make it out alive, when the Queen of Demons actually attacked.
The door to the building was opened up, the younger Elemi looking back from staring off, with what she could assume must have been embarrassment from her suggestion. It was nothing new, as it was obviously directed at the ice elemental, but it was that inexperience the younger one had that grabbed such attention. She had let the Elemi go in after the hybrid, though remained momentarily behind herself, as she turned to face some of the eying crowd.
"We'll make a more opportune announcement shortly, but with this construction being finished, Capsule Corp has officially been established across all three cities. All our branches will be looking forward to hearing any grievances."
An Elemi woman with snow white hair, had been one of the individuals around that caught her eye, and prompted her to speed over in what most would have considered to be a blink. The business within the city wasn't as shuffling with movement as Yggdrasil, but there was a certain collective grouping that Republic held that could have touched the hearts of most people. Bijou and Elemi of different ages were gathered together here, and their natural presence regarding their elements, she could really feel brush across her own body. Though the most wonderful thing was the accustoming of wearing scouters.
"It's been a long wait for all of us, but we're happy to see it finish. If you happen to find the time later, would you consider to hear some of our stories?"
Extending a hand out for the Elemi to shake, she had gotten back an enthused response, which although wasn't as energetic as certain allies she had, did give her the vibe that the alien did like to talk. If construction was something that inspired this request, these stories must have had some theme revolved around it. Though she couldn't imagine it wouldn't have been worth listening to later, knowing the Elemi's age wasn't one that was old or anything.
"I'll keep it in mind. Thank you all for your interest and support."
Her own Advanced Scouter had already brought up what documentation it had on the alien, along with those with her, showing on the lenses that they were properly registered along with other info. It didn't take long for things to process documentation, which is what made it easy to catch anyone who wasn't apart of the planet. All she and the others needed to do, was scan the individuals around them with these things, to confirm they didn't belong.
There were buildings around here with large screens where traffic was, and where there might not be any, used for broadcasting primary news of the city. She'd just have to text the right representatives to make a more proper announcement, and at one point here, doing proper photoshoots.
The others should have already been alerted to bring the proper photographers her shortly for such a thing, and seeing the candid photos could really ensure that things were coming together for just not them, but for the whole city in general. They had agreed to come here in the first place to share culture, and bringing each other here on the planet, even if it wasn't all of them in its entirety, was still something that must have felt nice to accomplish.
She sped away afterwards, and walked into the building, letting the air work on warming her up. There was certainly a lot of things to do, and knowing this was the city the hybrid had claimed for herself in overseeing, they didn't really need to visit the other cities, unless it had become necessary.
This building itself, workers would only be arriving to liven the place, but until then, it was really just them. She removed her scouter, one of the many that had been produced, and essentially a replacement for herself, knowing she had personally handed her own to the other woman the night of her ritual.
"I'll be going around with Lithi to really make sure, but it doesn't feel like there's any changes to the population around here."
Her False God form, she had reasoned within those two years, must have allowed her to sense the presence of the deities watching over this universe. It wasn't something that felt like she could use it without going into that form, but unlocking it did feel like her normal senses were sharper.
If she had really tried, she could feel out everyone within this city, though Natsumi and some of the others were just naturally better at it than her. Nothing had felt like it was off, but seeing was something that was much better than going off of feeling. Despite all the defenses they had, they didn't have technology that could detect stealth ships. Not because they couldn't create it, but she hadn't felt that it was something necessary.
Only someone who was willing to die, would have really tried invading the planet. One combined attack from the charging force of her allies or herself, and they should be able to take care of just about any threat together. But she wasn't the strongest in the universe, so it wasn't exactly a secure thought.
Showing off this kind of caution wasn't something unusual for her, and going off to sit, her scouter being placed on the table, she felt the elemental in question had rose up a little from being mentioned. Whatever the girl could have brought up while she was gone, she had doubts it would have been much.
The Elemi was frail and had sensitive skin, but the last few years had shown having that skin was just necessary. They were certainly a powerful group of beings, and despite a part of herself believing those full-blooded prevailed, it was no longer really an argument she'd push about them and hybrids.
Just from purely looking at the ice elemental, she had found as time went on, she was able to smile from the sight alone.
Things had gotten fixed so easily.
She would never forget the day one of her own had shown up, and just took care of what she had tried so hard to revert, like it was nothing. All that energy she had, all that fire, just gone. No more pain lashing out with her, and bringing her just back to the kind that she had normally dealt with.
Though she hadn't even bothered trying to transform again for a long while. She was afraid. Afraid and angry at how simple it had been, to just go back to having this skin again, but there wasn't a good source of this anger at anyone but herself. There used to have been a feeling of warmth, and a spark of fire at the thought of being mad at all, but she had been in that form for so long, only to just have it be taken away, that it just didn't really happen.
Part of it made her curious, knowing that she couldn't have drained energy like that herself. Though the idea of even being taught by that Elemi, who was one of the groups that willingly came to this new planet, didn't really come to her. There was just so much adjustment into being her again.
This skin was something that she used to hate so much, but the pain wasn't really much of anything anymore, with what she had to deal with in comparison. She was able to bear things better, and there came a complete opposite when there was even any attempt to go and use the natural fire she had within her.
Nothing which she had really explored. All she had knew was, trying to gather ki and have it ignite, only made her form a regular ball of ki. There were no flames, not even a spark, yet it didn't feel like she had really lost a part of herself either. And she was also already different in the first place.
A bit of a temper, was just undeniably what she had gained, and through what little pain there was now, she didn't have much trouble speaking anymore either. She just didn't want to. It wasn't even the idea of happiness that had really stopped her either. There was just a lot about herself, that made her feel lost. Even when she did started trying to transform again, and failed to do so, there just wasn't anything there to really get angry about.
She still didn't find an answer when she actually started training with the Elemi, who had drained her energy in the first place. There was no hate for them either, and the only thing she had been told, was that she had overworked herself, and that transforming would be easier again when she had rested.
It had already been a couple of months since then, and while sparks of fire were coming back more, her whole body wasn't something that were put into flames. Only parts of herself were able to ignite, and the power just wasn't the same. It felt different, and she knew that things were different.
But there was a sense of quiet to it, that made her wonder how much of everything, was all just part of how much she had rejected herself. She didn't like the pain and sensitivity that her body naturally had, but when transforming and losing this skin, had thought about how nice it was, until it wasn't.
No matter how much she thought about it, there wasn't really a 'right' answer, but the input that she had heard and was told of, didn't feel like it either. Her parents were gone from her life somewhere, and it was only the Vampire, and one of her own, that could really even come close enough.
She dealt with this whole thing like she had before all of this mess, just listening to how happy people were. Their smiles were something she could show herself without much effort, but it really didn't feel like she was putting her heart into things. Both the Android and bug that both looked like copies of the Vampire, had tried to talk to her, and she could feel the kind of different energies that the two of them had just carried along with them.
But that was just about it. There wasn't anything about her that was fixed, just this feeling of being lost. She would say there was some exhaustion mixed in it as well, but it wasn't really something that sounded like what the Vampires seemed to deal with. She just wasn't sure of herself.
It was the only way she could have really explained it, and no matter what she had tried, things just didn't really change for her. Following the Vampire to this whole claim to Capsule Corp here in Republic, there wasn't really anything that she had expected out of this. They were supposedly a family and all now, but there was a lot of things since being stuck in her transformation, that she was still trying to adjust to and even accept had happened.
These two had their own kind of relationship now, but wanting that wasn't something that struck out at her. So feeling lovesick wasn't the issue. It might have actually been as simple as overworking herself, but this whole aftermath of having been like that, was just all new to her, and a pain to deal with.
"She's probably making a personal announcement."
It was the only thing on her mind to really say to the ice hybrid, feeling that the Vampire had stopped following after them. But it wasn't like they needed her around or anything just to head towards wherever this office was. The building was different than the one back on Earth, but they were also on a whole new planet here. Something with that kind of difference was just expected, though she didn't really feel like it was a place she couldn't adjust to.
They weren't typically places she was seen at, knowing people needed her healing elsewhere, but she guessed it was a nice experience. Though she was the one walking ahead like she had really knew where she was going, she did stop enough times to look back and see if it really was the right direction.
The glimpses that she had seen of one of her 'adopted' mothers, made her realize just how weird it was, that her parents weren't even around. She knew they must have been dead and not just up and abandoned her, because for as long as she could remember, she had been raised by different kinds of Elemis, along with the natives of the planet she was raised on. It was such a simple place, people needed only healing, and lived more in villages than anything here.
Missing it wasn't something she would have said she had felt for it either, and it had been long enough. Even her relationship with the ice elemental here, compared to those other two who were supposed to have been her sisters, wasn't anything that was really that good, after a whole two years.
She had spoke when asked, and tried to think about things to talk about, whenever it had popped into her head. There was nothing really awkward to her about how others had felt, because she had only knew it only felt different to her. Even earlier when the Vampire openly talked about what these two might have done alter tonight, didn't really do anything but make her wonder just what was wrong with her, to not even go and feel embarrassed or anything.
Unless the other Elemi had really spoke to her, silence was the only thing that had came from her, as they walked to this office, up until the Vampire had came back and spoke. Why did she have to be included in this whole search for intruders? It wasn't like the woman couldn't have done things alone.
"Alright."
But she didn't argue against it, only looking through the scouter that was placed down by the Vampire. She had one of her own, but it wasn't something she really wore. It was considered mandatory, and most people wore them anyway for protection, but it wasn't something that was enforced or anything.
Not when any footage these things could capture, an angle of it would be shot by someone else, if someone didn't wear one. The kind of recent listings this thing could have, was probably one of the few things she actually found and thought was fun to look through, seeing faces that she didn't really know.
Maybe it was unfamiliarity that would be right for her now, at this point of her life.
There were so many places around here to remember.
She got the idea that it was to protect the place, and the Vampire was right about how it was necessary, but even with those she had absorbed inside of her, even she felt lost, trying to walk around the planet. Anyone who wandered out of Republic and was maybe in the middle of the crossroads or something, even with sensing, it was hard to tell which way was which since everything around here was all snow. The people who lived in each city, needed to be felt for.
But seeing as how this was supposed to be a planet for those who worked with the brunette so closely, she guessed it made sense to be so lost otherwise. Outsiders weren't meant to be on this planet, and with all of the cold around, she could see how it was a deterrent to even try living on here.
Winter coats had helped, sure, but it was really only the strong that would be able to survive in a place like this. And even then, most people needed oxygen masks to even breathe around here. Made her glad she had picked up a few tricks through absorptions, even if they weren't all conscious ones.
You'd really have to care about the natives of a city, and feel some kind of attachment, to really find a way around this planet. Or at least get by on just trying to feel out for one person, when so many energies had just about the same power level. Other than herself and a couple of others, it wasn't really that simple. Being here at Keystone, they were just warned in advanced, anyone who could have been trying to land on the planet here.
More than enough time to really suppress her power level like everyone else, who might have been an outsider. The ship tracking around here, was always picking up ships trying to land here, and while signals had been sent out and all to reach them, not all of them they really needed to bother with.
There was more security than just being shown the way to Keystone through sending the proper coordinates, since landing would also have outsiders checked. The scouters that the natives of each city had usually wore, really wasn't just some kind of fashion statement. It documented and sent info to here, popping up over all the way to both Arcadia, and one of the large computer screens that were around here. Lots of technology use more than she ever saw on Earth.
But it wasn't really like there wasn't some kind of backup plan either. It was just things that she wouldn't understand, and like how she was better off staying here in Yggdrasil unless told otherwise, she didn't need to understand it. Things around here had worked, and would continue to do so.
They just needed to watch out for any Androids, who could have came up with some crap that could interfere with their signals or something. Nothing which couldn't have been countered, but it still sounded like it was a pain in the ass to fix. And even in that kind of scenario, it wasn't simultaneous either.
Things weren't all supposed to shut down everywhere, and under some real luck with how guarded things were, information wasn't something that could have just been stolen either. An Android, if they had wanted to, would have to go through hours of footage that looked normal, and make out shapes and audio.
It was just all a bunch of stuff that really showed it was better to work with Rukia, than against. Would be hard to normally survive in the first place, since unless the Queen of Saiyans also had a large power level, that made the Vampire probably the strongest female in this universe who wasn't some god.
That kind of title, she knew wasn't something the brunette would allow to be let go of. A lot of things had changed within the past two years, and these recent couple of months that just made that a fact. It was crazy to think in the first place that they could even have all of this to themselves.
Life was pretty good, but the thing that she worried about like some of the others, was the idea that the Queen of Demons was going to attack someday. The Vampire was going to have to grow crazy strong to really guarantee that wouldn't be an issue. Even reach up to the power the King of Saiyans probably had.
They had never really met the guy, but they could guess that if False God had that easy of a timelimit, then the brunette just wasn't strong enough to be at this guy's level. And since he was so strong in the eyes of this Elemi that they had met, then he must have had some kind of god form too, right?
It made enough sense to her, hearing it be explained, and she naturally didn't get much of this stuff as a Majin. Things helped with absorbing others, but it was still lost on her. But she didn't really need to think all too much, beyond following after the kind of role she could play in helping out.
Some beeps and blinking from one of their computer screens, had popped up, showing this being with pink hair. The outfit was pretty 'adjusted' to the whole space look, and the introduction they gave was even fancier. Though it made sense hearing the name that they had given themselves. For the most part.
"Kinda suspicious way to phrase things, don't you think? But yeah, she's talked about you. We'll send you the coordinates to follow, and I'll meet you there myself."
Keystone was their headquarters, so speaking into their communications, the alien would be able to see her and Capsule Corp workers moving in the background. Some of the others were here as well, but they were also a lot like her in the idea that Yggdrasil was better to stay in.
Whatever else this chick might have even needed to really say, she stuck around long enough, before heading towards Liberty like she had said, with some help by the only other Vampire they had, that was this close to Rukia. Duvainel was a name that had been brought up to her alright.
She had knew the brunette had sent out invitations, but the responses of acceptance were pretty different for each one. Suspicion wasn't really on her mind though, knowing they could have handled things if something had gone wrong, but it was definitely something that was a surprise to really have happen.
Liberty was about a city away, and a place that she would have never made it on foot, without some kind of help. The place was just as guarded as everything else around this planet, but even more so, since it was also their evacuation facility. The thing was a large hangar in itself, filled with a bunch of ships that could be used for evacuation, but anyone walking into this place would notice the line that came with people being documented by scouters.
Any outsiders would normally head to Arcadia with a native, while those who fit the bill in being able to live here, were directed elsewhere. The one thing though, that outsiders tended to ignore or not understand, was that they had to get the idea of a pecking order. They really didn't need anyone with too much of an attitude, like the Queen of Earth had been some years ago, to be in a place like this. That was just a bunch of red flags asking for trouble.
The Kold Demons was the most risky when it came down to those kind of things, but they had one of their own to check out if there was any bad intentions there. She made her way past the line that was moving out, not wearing a scouter of her own, but her presence was familiar enough to be let through.
While her eyes had searched for this person, as she stood near the only entrance those docking their ships could have really taken, there was a whole lot here that could have winded up happening for the Vampire. Making her wonder if she was going to be needed for anything or not. From the feel of things, some of the others were already headed over to Republic for their own reasons, and she was going to need transport there next for herself and this woman.
They could skip going to Arcadia to be registered, since the brunette wasn't really the type to trust just about anyone, and there were things that these two likely would need to talk about in the first place. All of the things she could remember about that name, it all pointed to importance.
"Sayako. We'll have to kinda wait on someone else to pick us up, cause this place is pretty large, but I can fill you in on some things. We normally just ask people if they're here for any bad intentions, if they plan on trying to becoming a native, and some other stuff you can call deterrents. It's a nice place, but also not one, you know?"
Whether or not she was personally greeted by this woman, or if she had seen her first, introductions were the thing to get out of the way first, which being at Keystone didn't really allow. They had other screens they could use to guide other ships in, yeah, but it was better off talking here than in space.
If things went wrong, they would find out pretty easily, and she was the best one to take care of it while help was called.
The time to arrive was ever approaching, so many new things to arrive for this journey, she couldn't help but be excited for them. This was going to be the start of essentially a new life for her. A new way to live through these days to come. This was what a new beginning really meant, a repentance of the past that couldn't afford to be forgotten.
Even as she waited for a reply before she was to receive clearance. She was excited in the anticipation, she had wished she could've brought some other with her on this journey, but a part of her had felt it would be better off to introduce small first rather than to bring an entire crew. Such were public presentation after all, and for a planet know for holding some of the toughest of the all. One couldn't simply hold such a threating appearance.
"Apologies for suspicions, I figured it was better to be courteous than to simply land on the planet. Such a tiding would be quite rude after all.", she would begin to say as she began typing into the ship's keyboard. Checking the updates for any flight chart navigations. It took merely a few second before they arrived. Expanding the keyboard into one large red screen, she began tapping for her ship auto pilot. Simply to follow the coordinates to their designation.
"Alright I have received the coordinates. I will meet you near docking station...Beta dash Four.", Duvainel would finish communication as she would close comms. This was an interesting world, her view of those there had shown her how busily working those workers were in the background. In away this place was so much like the old north and yet, different as well. Strange and comfortable at the same time.
When her ship had landed into the docks she only needed to wait for a few moments before a Majin frost demon like hybrid showed up. She couldn't place it, but something about that face of hers, something about her name sounded familiar. Had they met before possibly? It was hard to say, as she couldn't remember it at the top of her head. All she did know, was that they were familiar, and for now, familiarity was dangerous.
As Sayako would begin to introduce herself, Duvainel couldn't help but smile. This place was for the strong to survive, those couldn't survive, wouldn't see the next day. Good, she hated when it was easy. "Heh, I think I get what you mean. Trust me, I've been honestly looking to get back in contact with her for a while. Unfortunately, I had to rebuild a lot of my gear after my old client decided...not to inform me they were blowing up the planet they had assigned me to take care of in terms of...a job.", she would scoff near the end, believing she had been cheated by her creator. It was a pain alright, lost her a lot of time, but from it,she survived, she adapted.
She could feel the lower oxygen levels on this planet. After having soared through space as nothing more than a tiny split of life. Her body had adapted to harsher environments, granting her a very strong survivability chance to most environments.
"It's at least sink or swim here it seems, I actually enjoy that, much better than how calm and boring it is on Namek. The last thing I would do is betray Rukia however, friends don't do that. I try my best not to break such promises.", she would begin as she looked at Sayako again. "I'm curious, what do you think of it here? I'm afraid I'm in a bit of the dark over these two years, a lot of it was spent, rebuilding myself back to a proper body.", the pink haired woman would ask of the Majin, curious what they would have to say while they waited. She could begin to feel a twitch almost in her neck, she wasn't going to be able to hold her disguised form for much longer. However, she was unsure as to how the populace would react to her true form. Her perfect form. The last thing she desired was to make a scene after all.
Cryonia gave the Vampire a knowing look. Well, she was being rather bold today. The implications certain things happening were certainly there. Although sometimes Rukia could throw her for a loop. Cryonia then looked away, looking up at the new building.
“I suppose we’ll have to wait and see. I don't plan on going on a dull tour of my building until everything is places in, but I at least need to make sure my office is properly set up. After that there's a multitude of things that we can do. It depends on what we both wish to do at the time. Although I’m sure it will be quite enjoyable for the both of us.”
Cryonia looked back at Rukia, her lips forming the briefest of smiles for a few seconds. Cryonia was usually very controlled in public. Still, there were little things she did that could be picked up on. Especially if it was directed at Rukia. Cryonia enjoyed her time with the Vampire in general. But she savored their nights together. Rukia usually initiated that type of situation, and Cryonia was very receptive to it.
Although was that what Rukia wanted to do tonight? There was a reason why Cryonia wasn’t usually the instigator in those type of activities. Rukia wasn’t always in the mood. And she didn't always outright come and say she was. So Cryonia was going to use the rest of the day to determine whether or not that was her intent. Cryonia hoped that it was.
Rukia really enjoyed the photo taking events. Cryonia supposed that to someone who was immortal, that these pictures would be the only gateway to the past. Each of them highlighted important events after all. That was what Cryonia thought about it at least.
Rukia went off to address the gathering crowd. It had taken the better part I'd two years to set all of this up. But now she had a thriving city. So much so that there needed to be effort put into PR.” Tomina turned to the other Elemi as she spoke to her.
“Naturally the citizens will be curious about this place. Capsule Corp was well known even off of Earth. It being relocated to Rosario is very big news. It's going to create create a considerable amount of jobs too. We shall receive and answer quite a few inquiries I imagine.”
It didn't take long for Rukia to catch up to her and Lithe. The lobby to capsule Corp had no windows. It was a large, spacious room which stretched up quite a ways. You could see the outlines of office windows from the inside up above. There was a series out long receptionist desks to the side, what appeared to be a small store that would sell CC merchandise. There was a second level to the lobby where there were sitting areas and television screens. Cryonia turned, looking over at her vampire girlfriend.
“There hasn't been any notable chance. There have been some children born in Republic City. This lobby isn’t quite done yet, but I'm happy with how it turned out.”
Cryonia smiled back at Rukia. There were moments where she almost felt some kind of happiness. The Vampire certainly seemed to have a lot of it around her, and it seemed genuine. It only made Cryonia more envious of envous if everybeing around her. They could still feel emotions like that. But Cryonia would take these nice little moments for what they were worth.
Something not everyone had the fortune to discover, beyond something platonic. A certain joy that was so simple, it didn't matter what her current state of mind was. Even the faintest traces along what were her weak spots, could have set her on the path into a mood she might not have been feeling much of.
But that was assuming other things weren't needed to be taken care of, and that this wasn't somewhere of privacy. The universe couldn't bend to all of her wishes, but if she actually had things her way, this relationship was something that would have been filled to the brim with a certain kind of peace.
There were too many days where she had wanted to do nothing more than lie close, without accomplishing much of anything. And other days where going beyond that was everything she could want. The kind of frustration she could find herself holding, which could always get to the point where she was done with following what life had to offer, happened more often than she could have counted herself. It was one of the consequences with being a Vampire.
Having a long life was meant to be suffering, and each of her transformations had brought with them, little changes in her perspective and beliefs. Becoming a Countess had her start to really accept and see those working under her, more as allies rather than minions that could have been disposed of.
Being a Matriarch, had her really focus on making the Vampire community better, and turn away from fighting as she begin to take the role of becoming a Queen. While becoming an Antediluvian had really made her look back on her past actions, and only within the last year, had her desire fighting again.
The lack of being able to gain power, had played a large role in being at her leisure, along with not facing off against opponents that could have both given her a reasonably hard time, and be someone she could kill. Responsibilities had limits she didn't want part of, but could do nothing about.
And it was tiring. Having power was something meant that should have meant she held more control, yet although her incapability of feeling much of anything around non-Vampires had gotten better, a big part of that was due to her becoming a permanent Antediluvian. All of this energy and bloodmagic, was what had made it really possible to go so long without being around one of her own, most of the time. But it was hardly something she'd say wasn't noticeable.
Her mind did drift to thoughts of the community, and having the power she did, prevented it from being more than just that. Insanity was already something she believed a part of her had reached, and she held no doubts she and the others could have easily became tyrants, using their inherent compulsion.
All it would have took was complete and utter exhaustion for humanity and its expectations. But there was a lot of things holding her back, reasons she couldn't just go around slaughtering everyone, and a big part of that had lied in the ice hybrid. Like a lot of her decisions, their relationship was something she had spent hours upon hours thinking about. The teaching she did of her techniques, and the talk they had, was something she had played in her head countless times before going through with the decision. It wasn't fear, but rather wanting the best of a situation she had no control over.
There were lots of different responses she had pictured, but the common one was the kind of far off stare, that had been something she was used to seeing when this relationship of theirs had began. Things weren't perfect even now, and she had ultimately voiced accepting that it wasn't necessary to talk about the half elemental's past relationship, but along with it were just a lot of personal other questions that came to mind, she somewhat wanted answered.
She had been pretty uncomfortable throughout it all, carefully trying to approach things, and almost every bit of it had been necessary. Others, she could have taken a guess of. One of the things on her mind was whether or not the other woman had ever tried to kill herself, that she had never voiced.
She opted instead in working her way to asking just what would happen if the ice hybrid had died, along with the idea of engagement and vows. Their relationship in the first place, was something that she had made a lot of effort, doing what she had believed other couples were doing to maintain theirs.
It was experimentation in a way, but with how experiences tended to differ, it was only time and it not becoming some kind of routine, that kept it distinguished. She wanted to believe that after two years, they had found what had worked for them, and her usually taking the initiative was apart of that.
But even before things had gotten to a point where she felt teaching her techniques was necessary, there had been moments in this new life where it kept going back to an end of this relationship. With revival being possible, would the other woman choose to just go and stay in Heaven? Why even bother coming back to life when there was a good chance she could have what she wanted, and return back to this former relationship the hybrid already had?
It was also just customary to go off of the idea of getting engaged at one point, and while they might have been nowhere near those kind of feelings, each passing day was one where they might have been attacked by the Demons. The chance that something out of her control, could make things go wrong.
Double of her own salary, was something that she had heard was the value of what a ring should be, and while the plan to do so wasn't anywhere near, she actually did prepare in advance for it. The thing could have easily been something she would never even get to use, and it could have possibly been centuries, before the half elemental would even decide to give up the afterlife and reincarnate, making it fair game that there were no more ties.
But most important of all was the vows. There was a lot of things on her mind that day, and only a number of questions that she had bothered to ask, or something she had actually brought up. But the idea of vows was something she had addressed last, though was similar to not wanting to hear about this past relationship. Ultimately, she hadn't expected for them to ever make anything beyond what she had agreed to, the night that they had gotten together.
What the other woman formerly had, she was so certain had been too beautiful, and it wouldn't have been right to make other vows. The common idea of death being the thing that would separate them and end things, while held its truth, wasn't something she believed in. One of the reasons she was against polygamy, and just how something like that was sorted out in the afterlife, beyond just what reincarnation could already offer an issue.
So much went on, but the efforts that she made after to just get through what had been said, was one of the few instances where she had really devoted herself into dealing less with business, and more of what had happened their first night together. She didn't really have control over how beings like the hybrid could respond, but she did know what it took to really try getting the better of a situation. And certain memories could hold a lot of pain.
Being here and now, in front of the new and finished building, the exchanges they had really felt as if the night could mirror what they had back then, during the ritual. The other woman might not have felt like today could have really been memorable, but she saw things differently.
It was a milestone for sure, coming into this position, and a possible change in the future to be better. The half elemental was already getting somewhere respectable when it came to power, but whatever insecurities there might have been from that, she'd always emphasize that it was unnecessary.
For what this Capsule Corp building currently was, she'd reason that things would likely finish being moved in by tonight. What was already around them though, did bring back memories, knowing just what it had taken to build everything here, and how early on they had temporary offices to serve them.
"Give it some time, and that should change. Talking to some of them, we already have one offer to possibly stop by somewhere tonight."
The idea of having their own kid, was something she hadn't ever addressed, ignoring how it was normally impossible, if not for the dragonballs. She envisioned rather than having to go through labor or do the oddity of switching genders for a time, the dragon could have magically create some kind of incubating baby with their mixed features, like how most Saiyans raised their kids. The genes would have taken after what she had as a Human.
It was a nice thought, and another answer she might never get in this lifetime. But it was a brief one which drifted back to what they could do later. When sitting down, it was natural to close one's legs, though a place like an office played a role on the days where she couldn't resist falling into intimacy.
A work desk specifically, and what it could be used for top or bottom. The smile given back to her, just so happened to align with her parting her legs a bit more open into a 'V' shape. Her outfits tended to differ a lot depending on the occasion, but for important affairs she often wore a business suit like she was today, her leggings being the thing that really brought to attention, any stir in movements she could have made below her. Under the right light, and with some adjustment of her suit, it essentially gave off the same kind of transparency of the dress she wore on the night of her ritual.
It was both a hint and reminder of just what certain places could mean to her, beyond business, but her intentions when it came down to more intimate contact, had always still involved working up to things on days that it just didn't feel necessary. Lying down and cuddling up was really, the minimum, yet equally satisfactory that she could ask for. To be able to bury herself in contact, was the kind of peace that she would always welcome.
"And if they can finish moving things here by tonight, we can also stop by here for awhile and get a better feel for the place."
There could have been time early tomorrow as well, but night still remained to have a kind of atmosphere, which morning couldn't hold a candle to. No one but them would really be around either, and that was part of the appeal to it. They could do whatever they'd like, without any concern for business.
"They're here."
Even before the younger Elemi had announced it herself, she had already felt the presence of some familiar individuals who made up her PR crew. They were the ones who not only made sure that the lighting was good, but also the sound quality. Some of them would also be in the photos, talking beforehand with her partner, to get more natural expressions. That was the trick to making these photos something that the public would be able to believe in.
Through the two years of work prepping the hybrid for this position, they were one of the groups that she had introduced for familiarity. Like a lot of her employees and allies, they had long been exposed to her former beliefs that she really needed to flaunt her power, and viable threats for control.
It was a rocky start, and she was certain there was still underlying trauma for some of them, since this crew were all Human, but there were things in life that didn't need to be said or addressed. Looking forward to the future, that was the kind of motto she had been drilling in regarding certain moments of the past. And with the potential danger there was for this planet and its inhabitants, it was best that they had followed those beliefs as well.
She found herself rising up and walking over, as the lead of the crew knocked on the wall. Within the last few years, it really became customary for her to greet those familiar with a hug, and those who could be better acquainted with a handshake. Persons of interest also affected things, but generally these things played a role in helping settle the idea of trust. It was a quick interaction, and the start of just what would wind up taking off a few hours.
"We'll need to get some shots around the office to keep this place in their head for awhile, and do a recording of you making some statements."
The PR crew was already familiar of approaches she had suggested herself, on how to get the proper expressions they might have had in mind. She knew there were moments where the ice hybrid could find herself really going back and forth on a matter, but even if they couldn't have brought up that spark, they could still frame her more usual expressions correctly. They knew how to with her, and they weren't really meant to work for only her anymore.
It was a group effort to rule a planet together, and although it was possible for them to train together for her to reach even more power, she was likely always going to be the one between them, that would go and protect the planet. In the case of an invasion, she had in mind for just about everyone, including the other woman, to lead everyone else away. Only a few, like Sayako, would be fighting with her, thanks to the technique turning others to stone.
"Lithi and I will be back shortly enough. We might even go around and bring back some snacks, if you'd like anything."
While the group had started directing and explaining the things they needed to cover, she had stepped in between for just a moment to announce her departure. The number of growing Elemis or Bijous hadn't really been what she had meant, thinking more of possible individuals that didn't belong.
But it was nice to see that was the first thing on her partner's mind. She and the younger Elemi had left after this quick exchange, her scouter being worn once again, being the one between them who was more likely to actually spot anyone that shouldn't have been around first. They were only just starting to make a name for themselves with establishing what this planet had to offer, though there was no real benefit to doing so without working with her.
There was different standards, different goals, but her own was what still mattered most.
She didn't really care too much about this business stuff.
But being around this kind of work, and knowing someone like the Vampire, it'd be hard not to pick up something from it. She knew enough about how things worked, and just how much talking to people it had really involved. Being powerful had also helped a lot, but it wasn't something shown off anymore.
Both of those things she used to kind of do with the others, though it was just one of the things about her that had changed. Being like this didn't feel right to her, so just what was it about these two, that made them able to go around like this, as if it was right to really feel this way about life?
"You sound like you're looking forward to it. I don't know how to feel about it myself."
She knew it was a positive thing to hear would happen, and while she could have asked about her own personal question, what difference would it have really made? She had already been told by the Elemi who had helped her, just what her problem had been. But it was just so hard to believe that time was the issue here. She had been like that for two years, so was that supposed to mean that was how long it'd take, for her to feel like she was normal again?
The way that fire had used to easily ignite from a spark, even without trying to do it here and now, she could tell wasn't something she could pull off anymore. Forming even the littlest of flames required so much of her effort, it was hard not to feel like she wasn't even an Elemi.
But those thoughts of what she had felt were pushed away, as the Vampire had came back and rejoined them. This building was pretty empty without anyone else around. Though she guessed that was just the point. Being here in the first place, was because she was asked to support this as something to celebrate.
Watching these two interact, only made her turn her eyes away, waiting for some kind of plan to be announced. They were here so early, that even the workers who were supposed to finish moving everything had shown up yet. And since that explanation outside wasn't really 'official' she imagined they were going to just do the work to finish that first. Which meant that group were likely going to come here, before the movers could get in the way of pictures.
Humans weren't new to her, but with how many of them were untrained, their flesh was the very thing that had used to be in danger, trying to even touch her. But she also used to be in so much pain, just from moving. It wasn't always just slight aches that she was able to ignore for so easily like this.
This group was just too comfortable with their work, for people who had really been through how the Vampire had treated them. Their ki signatures she had felt had arrived to the building, and was something she had announced to the two, before they had actually shown up with a knock on the wall.
Even with the kind of small group there was from them joining, there had been so much movement already, with their equipment being placed around, and the talking that they did with each other. Being told that she was going to leave for awhile, was something she didn't look back on as she had nodded.
She wanted to say she would rather wait outside when they had returned, but she had always been expected to join in with these things, and she couldn't bring herself to really decline either. With how patrolling had worked, rather than fly, she was picked up, before things blurred around them.
This was also just something she had picked up since meeting the Vampire. There was only a couple of beings that were going to be allowed on the planet, so trying to sense for one that didn't belong, wasn't something that was hard or anything. A lot of these ki just felt really similar to each other.
They were moving away too fast for her to really ever pick things out with her eyes, so it was only darkness that surrounded her, while she felt that they moved around. This planet always had strong winds, and the snow that fell around would be cold for a lot of people. She used to not need to dress up in winter coats, but even what internal flames she had within her, wasn't enough not to be wearing one. So many changes in how things used to be.
"Well there's nothing out of the ordinary so far. Even those from Yggdrasil are getting used to the idea of being escorted."
From the crowd of different Elemis and Bijous, all of who had brought some type of warmth to them, or a sense of more cold, she could feel that there really was a couple of Vampires that were around here. And she could also really feel that they were following, rather than leading the way themselves.
Outsiders were supposed to get lost here, and natives from the other cities weren't meant to wander around, without someone from here watching after them. It wasn't supposed to matter if they already knew where they were supposed to go. But for how long was this all going to last? The Vampire was powerful, and could be lenient, but each of the cities were supposed to have their own cultures. Did they really already found trust in those two watching this planet?
"Yeah."
What else was she supposed to have say? Even hearing from the ice elemental about the whole population growing, didn't make anything really come to her mind. These events were positive, and she knew that, but that was just all it was. How much were these things supposed to mean to her? Why?
They hadn't really been out here for too long, and although she felt them stop on the occasion, she still didn't open her eyes, knowing they would eventually move again anyway. The Vampire must have been really making sure what she had said was accurate, like a lot of the things she said.
Though when they hadn't moved, and she felt herself being lowered back down on the ground, she opened her eyes to find that they were standing in line of a street vendor. One of many they were likely going to go visit, if they were actually done patrolling. It wasn't a surprise for her. Not a lot of things really were. And the eye contact they had made, should have only confirmed that with the Vampire, who hadn't pushed for her to talk further.
But was she even supposed to? The woman had never really been the type to really force outside of what was necessary. And it should have been obvious she couldn't really say much of anything. Something that wasn't going to stop the Vampire anyway, from going to just offer to talk herself.
"Bringing you along wasn't meant to be for just support you know. Like I do with the others, I do think we could spend more time together. You've really changed a lot, and it doesn't have to be a bad thing."
It was only a slight smile, but to her, it was an example of how different things really were with this woman. Someone who always went on about how having power was meant to be suffering, and while an idea of what that had meant, used to be her own movements, that part of her had changed.
Being weaker wasn't something that she had wanted, and the idea of getting stronger was what had brought this issue in the first place. Was fixing it all somehow supposed to just involve more training? She already had to work so hard to even transform nowadays. How could something like that be the answer?
"I want to start trying something later then. A challenge. You said Humans did those kind of things all the time, right?"
She could hardly remember the things that she used to do, back when she had came into the Vampire's care. But there were little things in her memory that had stuck out, and she knew there were trials and tests to follow some method to see if things would work. And she wanted to believe that this one did.
She just needed to put her heart into believing it would.
There was always a lot of caution with the Vampire.
But they were ones she understood were necessary. Getting to this level of power wasn't a cakewalk, and the kind of culture that Vampires worked off of anyway, with the whole culling thing, didn't really seem like anyone who didn't would really live for long. It was tough, but that was just how life was.
She could sympathize, having taken so long to accept that absorbing was necessary for her to grow stronger, and that she was only as smart as she was, because she had absorbed a couple of humans when she was younger. Too much to really remember it, but without them being within her body, she would have been like Saeko, a Majin who still stayed so innocent despite her age. It must have been nice to believe in so much good with the world.
If not for herself and the others knowing the brunette for so long, it would have probably been questionable whether or not the younger Majin was even on the right side. But it was always going to be complicated, trying to even fight against that idea in the first place. The 'good' of the universe, had expected so much of people who could help. The West City invasion had gone wrong for those group somehow, barely without even a fight against the Demons.
Some of them, must have deserved to die in a way, if they had really been all talk like she had heard of, but they were really doing what they could. Like how their leader, was trying to make something of this place for her community, and the people that she had gone and promised she would protect.
The 'good' wasn't really making that kind of effort. They had a good couple of years to try doing so too. All that she saw back when she was stationed on Namek, or when they had lived on Earth, was that they had accepted stray outsiders and hybrids looking to tour the planet for anything interesting.
There was no real cause in mind, and the group that they had to defend the planet, was just that. Capsule Corp and the brunette herself, was really trying to do something to provide aid. There might have been an ulterior motive behind it all, something that was more like bait for dependency for groups beyond Earth, but what did that really matter when the Vampire wasn't the one who would be going around killing. It was her and the others who would do that stuff.
And not even something they were really forced into either. They could have really just immobilize them, if they weren't people meant to have died, because of some stupidity they had lucked out on surviving. A lot of this stuff wasn't agreeable to everyone, but this was why they had their own planet now.
This planet was too newly reformed to really get that many outsiders, though having them check-in so carefully, played a role in what they were used to hear. There shouldn't be a need to go having people around, that couldn't let them do what the laws around here had banned locals from doing.
"You got a point there. It's a rare thing from people who didn't come on this planet alongside everyone else."
She smiled, having a bit of an understanding just why Rukia would remember someone like this. But to be absent for so long, something must have happened that needed to be fixed. From what she could remember, when these two had met, the Vampire had barely even ran anything important at all.
That was a long time. But to go and be afraid when she had her own kind of power, wasn't something that would happen. There were only certain things that she had really feared now, and a lot of that was because she and the others had the kind of support they wouldn't have really gotten otherwise.
If she had ever met this woman before, she couldn't really think of it off the top of her head. But a lot of things had happened over the years, and there were certain events that were better not to have really remember. She didn't really feel anything different though, looking at this arrival.
"Oh, so that's what happened to you. What planet? A lot of the common ones, the others and I have been stationed there at least for a couple months."
Namek and Earth were really the places most aliens had ever really touched. News still traveled in space though, and this planet hadn't really seen much use until the Vampires had really came. Which was one of the reasons why it was just so easy to claim the place, after all the work for it was done.
Someone this friendly could have been lying, for all that she had knew, but it seemed like it was pretty believable. They've had places to really make use of and test how people responded to the things that could happen around here though. But she wondered if it was going to be necessary for someone like this.
A lot of it must have been coincidence, but she could also remember being told that this person was naturally honest. Still, it wasn't an everyday thing, hearing all of this stuff. Questions she wanted answers to were being given, and if not for the people within her, she would have thought her mind was being read. It could have been preparation, like how the brunette could really be with her decisions, but she guessed there needed to be a reason to distrust.
"You're pretty honest, which checks out with what we've been told of. I'm sure she'll you about it later, but we're expecting a war to happen any day now, and there are definitely people out there dumb enough to try shapeshifting into people Rukia knows. Hasn't happened yet, but if it did, we have doubts it'll really be something that could last forever."
There were methods to testing those kind of things, with people that the Vampire was close to. Power levels weren't supposed to be too high, and they had certain habits that only someone killing them, and somehow taking their memories, could ever really learn. There wasn't going to be any mercy for someone who tried to pretend, since a lot of them had knew each other in ways people usually didn't. Things that couldn't really be something faked.
Not wanting to hold anything up, she had led them to a more open area of this large hangar, which would lead right into Republic. With her sensing, she could feel the brunette was miles away within the city, not really moving, which must have meant that she had gone out somewhere from today's events.
"It's a lot better than Earth or Namek, ignoring the whole cold thing. If you've met the leader of the Saiyans living among the Namekians, I can tell you from experience, that he and his brother's family, hadn't really treated me and this Saiyan working for Rukia this one time. It was a special occasion for them yeah, but without her around, we were really just some number in a crowd of Saiyans, when we should have been up there with those guys."
It wasn't an event that she could have really forgotten, since not only were a population of Saiyans revived around that time, but a False God ritual had happened. Who knows how long the Vampire would have taken to become one herself, if she and Maiz hadn't been there. The Saiyans weren't really open people.
"And I can say for sure the others and I have really thought about working for her a lot, and where we'd be if we hadn't. It was a lot of work, and Rukia had really gone through a lot of changes throughout it, but it's not something we'd regret. Besides, time has passed long enough that we've proven there isn't really any other group that started out as high school girls, outside of pop idols and stuff."
The twitch in the neck was something she had noticed from this person, making her raise an eyebrow on just what was going on. It wasn't something that was normal, and that kind of twitching was usually a sign that things were going to blow up, in her own experiences when it had came to absorptions.
"You're not going to blow up or anything, right? Cause I've actually can prepare for that kind of thing."
There was a lot about this woman that would normally be odd, if a lot of aliens didn't have their own weird quirks. Like the idea of rebuilding a body, but it didn't really seem as if there wasn't anything mechanical about this person. Not that being a machine could have been told without a robotic voice.
As a gesture though, she had parts of her arms turned into mass of flesh, planning to cover the entire alien if it was needed. Although it did make her wonder if there must have been some kind of ptsd or something, from having been on a planet that had blew up and all. It was always possible.
"Or have like any ptsd from me being like this?"
She could feel two of the others were on their way here like they should have been, but it didn't really seem like it was a good idea to introduce them to a possible explosion. A lot of people would have probably been nervous in this situation, though she was more concerned about those around them.
Human workers from Capsule Corp, mixed in with Bijou and Elemi, alongside outsiders trying to come into the planet that might have been one or the other. The place might have been filled with chatter, but that wasn't enough to make at least some wonder what was going on here, according to her body language.
It was going to delay meeting with Rukia, for a little longer.
TWC: 14,012Sayako is ready to use
[SVT-1] True Prisoner
Sayako deforms a part of her body into mass, which grabs onto an opponent, and holds them in place. [30% of PL in damage, and stun for one turn.]
In the chance that Duvainel blows up for whatever reason. The speed of it is 5,839,403.
Cryonia Since it'll likely be awhile, maybe even long enough for the next event to arrive, I went ahead and explained a few of the things I had in mind for our MA flashback thread. There's a lot there to unpack, but it's mostly; Rukia accepting that she doesn't really need to know who and what Cryonia's husband was really like, what happens to their relationship if Cryonia had died, and whether or not she'd stay in Heaven where she could have that former relationship back again. There's also Rukia voicing she doesn't ever expect for them to make any vows to each other beyond what was agreed during Rukia's ritual thread.
Bunch of other stuff that Rukia wouldn't voice out loud, like actually working to buy a ring double Capsule Corp salary, when they were working off of the Kold Demon's economy until things could be reformed. Overall though, there's a lot of build up to these questions that I figured Rukia would bring up with every other technique or so, while training Cryonia.
As for Rukia’s hinting in this post, it’s desk type of stuff, when it comes to their personal time together.
Duvainel I honestly don't know what you're referencing with Sayako, other than vaguely remembering they might have been mentioned.
(Looking at Rukia's shop thread, we all get a 10% bonus to PL, due to a Giant Planet's natural 10g gravity.)

There was something, exciting about the wait here, something that kept her antsy. She couldn’t wait to meet Rukia again, while some of the memories back then were a little vague from having been blown to pieces…there were some bits that she could remember. The coldness of the north, the cold that came from Rukia’s palm, their promise to each other. A secret she still held to her code. The demon queen may have created her, but she didn’t need to be their obedient assassin any longer. She had her own life to rule. With all contact having been lost with the queen now, her chance was ever so nigh. Her thoughts would only ring on, only stopping once the female majin had some comments for her. Comments that she did understand the suspicions of for some. There weren’t many honest people out in the universe, but she preferred to be upfront of her tidings. People seemed to hate more the facts and rather wished to hear what they desired. She wasn’t about that however, she only gave the truth out for needed. Only secrecy kept for the things that truly needed it.
“Well, I was on Planet Brench following behind an earthling vessel, something to give me cover for when I landed. My target had been someone who had turned traitor upon their creator. When I landed, the earthling ship I arrived behind…made a rather big scene, to convince the Saiyans there, I cornered him alone while their king was throwing some event. I had told them I would take care of him, not simply for them. Rather to help myself blend in and get close to the target.”, she would begin to explain as she would quickly wrap up towards the conclusion while they held time. “Long story short, the one day I decided to take a nap, the demons decided to blow up the planet without sending me a warning. Seeing as they were my employers during the time…I would have hoped one of them would have sent me the evac message…”, she would mumble with a noticeable annoyance towards the end. She didn’t exactly like remembering that end detail, how she had been defeated by something so miniscule. How she had been forced to wander as a nucleus throughout space until the foolish demon namekian had came in contact with her.
“The reason I’m so honest, is because only those who have to hide something will lie. I have nothing to hide from Rukia at the least, and if Rukia trust you and others here. That’s enough for me. I’ve seen others get back stabbed around this universe, it never ends pretty.”, she would say as she yearned in on this topic of war. They were at a threat of war here? It explained why Rukia had called out for her, and maybe even others as well. That…wasn’t good either. The last she had known of Rukia, they had seemed someone confident, someone who wouldn’t pull themselves into idiotic decisions. If they were this high alert, whoever this war was with. It was worth the dangers.
“Shapeshifters, some of the biggest pains to find if they are hidden right. Such gimmicks then usually become a lot harder to find. You would need someone to have known that person and then know the correct memories as well. It might not have happened yet, or it could have happened. Chances even someone could’ve already done it. Whoever does so would have to be a fool though to do it on such a heavily surveyed planet.”, Duvainel would begin to admit as she settled into a wait for their escort.
It was only when the Majin was looking at her funny that she began to realize something was wrong, she could feel the twitch in her neck now. Her shapeshifting timer was nearing its end. This cursed perfect form was too strong for the shapeshifting at times. The was still the bounty pact she held with Rukia though, it would be pointless if she spilled the beans on what she was. “No, no, no…I’m sorry, its just recently, I unlocked a new transformation to myself. Unfortunately, with the power it outputs, it becomes hard to keep it suppress and myself in my base form for too long, my timer now of holding this memory of my base form is waning. This is just the form me and Rukia had met in, she knows about my other form, but I hadn’t gotten to show it to her due to…being a lot harder to hide it back in the village. You could say even, that the transformation was permanent. The reason I keep looking at you however…funny enough you remind me vaguely of something Rukia once told me about back in her mansion in the northern parts of Earth. She mentioned something about a Majin and a Saiyan who ate a lot out of her portions heh..”
“Time is the most valuable currency. You can get almost anything you desire if enough of it passes. We have quite a bit of options to choose from, although it should end up being an enjoyable evening regardless of what we do. Especially with what we plan on doing last.”
Rukia had chosen to sit down on a desk in the lobby. Cryonia watched as the Vampire spread her legs with a very knowing smile. Rukia was the epitamy of Profesional and elegance. The office attire she had chosen was appropriate for today. Yet in the right circumstances it became as alluring as any dress. It was meant for her to see, and she appreciated that. Cryonia returned the Vampire’s smile.
“I will have to check all the systems, as well as ensure that everything in my personal office is functioning. It's got a significant amount of space, so we’ll have plenty of room to work with.”
Cryonia preferred giving signals in this manner. Rukia was the type of person who was receptive to them. It wouldn't have done to be with someone who had to be told bluntly as to what she wanted. They had to have a beian, and Rukia had that in spades.
Rukia and Lithi headed off for awhile, but not before Cryonia mentioned that she wanted some hit chocolate as a beverage. She did have one last interaction with Lithi before she headed off.
“Naturally I am excited by this. The event marks the end of phase one for me. Once I have enough resources I can move ro phase two. Capsule Corp gives me many resources to work with.”
Rukia and Lithi weren’t gone for very long. Soon all three of them were walking together again. Things got interesting when the idea of a challenge was brought up.
“Challenges isn’t a human exclusive term, although they are more associated with less brutal affairs. I daresay that you are bold, declaring a challenge like that.”
Well things has just gotten interesting. Cryonia wondered how things would turn out. She didn’t expect things to go in this direction, and was very curious about how the flow would move.

Bringing Lithi along hadn't really been necessary.
She could cover the area much faster than most people would have really been able to, and patrolling like this was to only make sure there weren't issues. Too many outsiders tended to flock to Earth or Namek, under the belief they could fight however they had wished, dragging themselves into situations like the West City invasion, and somehow expecting to continue living. The good didn't always win, and that was one of the examples showcasing it.
For someone to have really been on this planet, they would have had to either have her interest, or that of someone she knew. But hardly would that have meant just about anyone could come here. The planet was meant to be hostile, as she wasn't going to bother tolerating anyone who thought themselves better.
There had been rumors recently of underground constructs and labs wishing to be built, but money was traceable, and whoever was foolish enough to help finalize the thing, would be punished as much as those mistakenly believing they could build it without her permission. So many preparations needed to be taken, in order to have some semblance of the idea that this planet could have the kind of peace, that those on Namek or Earth believed themselves to hold.
For her not to be aware that something was going on, which would always be a possibility, but one that can be minimized in threats, it only meant that there was a chance that things could go wrong. Some idiot who was an outsider, or a local throwing some kind of tantrum, could mistakenly believe she didn't hold the allies needed to stomp such a thing out. Republic City, with its current council and where outsiders were meant to go, was a place meant to delude the trouble makers into believing they could really have a chance, in some kind of fair trial that could have possibly made the population empathize with them.
There had been two individuals who had been brought to her attention recently, that she was trusting both her allies, and the ice hybrid's words on. One that was a Vampire who showed himself to be nothing more than an idiot, to go and attack a Kold Demon, who apparently didn't even put up a fight.
News of such that she completely refused to believe. Advanced scouters seeing the two had showed there was a difference in power level, and especially knowing that this Vampire had been in Yggdrasil at the time, while heavy construction was going on, it was beyond stupid to believe they could get away with it. There was no reason not to have killed them on the spot, knowing a month to live was all they would have gotten anyway, from the community.
But just like how there was this man who called himself a 'Chronic', and mistakenly believed that he had the planet all figured out, she trusted her partner's decision, in letting them still walk around. Although their info within each scouter was heavily updated to mark them off as idiots, in a more formal way warning the public, they were examples of what not to do. Those two weren't going unpunished in the slightest. It was more than ridiculous to believe that she had the capability and the law on her side, to go and do so, but have them get away with their foolish mindsets like this was Earth.
No. When the time had came to really give them hell, they'd know for sure how hostile this planet was meant to be to outsiders, and idiots who believed they knew better than her. That wish she had made on Earth, and the way that dragon had decided she would sustain this form, is by not only removing her ability to access the powers of her prior forms, but a requirement that the stored energy within her needed to be heavily released in great force on a daily basis.
She'd toss those two around like a ragdoll, the moment they had shown any obvious signs they were up to no good. The whole year she had been given since the wish, more than allowed her ample time to experiment with kicking, which had been the forte her former Supidoan ally had held, before his dismissal.
It was an approach that although was reserved for only the truly dumb, there was no reason she couldn't have set up the opportunity, to go and handle the situation herself. And as useful as allies could be, this universe had proven to show there were too few individuals who'd meet her expectations.
What did it really matter to know an individual who was strong, but held no realm of importance. Not even any ties to someone special, yet they were likely to act like those she wished to die. Someone on the level of a Super Saiyan 2 could show up here, but if proven to have the kind of ambition she couldn't possibly get along with, they were nothing more than someone to be used. Republic City and what it had to offer with its council, was very well meant to be an alternative and unbiased approach, for judgment on what to do with outsiders, or locals who had grown to be more trouble than they used to.
Being in front of the crowd and the public eye, they'd need to reason and try to justify their place on the planet, but seeing as how she could have easily gone back and forth all day with the Queen of Earth, it wasn't likely to be in their favor. Most individuals tended to see themselves as some special case, deciding why they were able to take certain actions, when in reality, they had only continued to live and exist because of Earth or Namek's laws.
There were rumors about that Chronic, whose abilities seemed absolutely laughable, if it truly only affected his cognitive senses, believing that his presence here was necessary. But it was a fact that if he was as much of a know it all as she had been told of, it shouldn't have been difficult to see reason how much of a pest he actually was, if this planet had been invaded twice before her kind's own arrival, and he was foolish enough to believe a xenophobic race like the Kold Demons would ever accept him as a citizen. They were neutral because they had to be against the Saiyans.
Now, any person dumb enough to visit their city without some kind of escort, or her advanced notice, would find themselves being stampeded by the alien's different suppression forms if pushed. There was irony in being oppressed by the Saiyans into accepting neutrality, but it should no longer be an issue.
She had done so much to put things together where, she wanted it to be. Given enough passing time, each city would wind up practicing different cultures, and treat things differently. What she had saw here with Lithi, as they made their way around Republic, was only but a glimpse of how it should be.
Though most of the time patrolling hadn't really been filled with conversation, the issues that the younger Elemi had been dealing with in the first place, was really something that relied on one's own change. She had met enough individuals to truly hate them for a time, and even more where she felt as if she needed to really flaunt her power, for them to even take her seriously. To get past those things wasn't something particularly easy to do.
She had only been able to herself, because it was so natural for Vampires to get tired of living after awhile, that conversations wind up becoming something akin to seeing the same movie enough to know the lines. Only it was uninteresting, rather than something of passion, and desire.
Similarly to how the stronger she had gotten, the more she could resist not having to drink blood, it was a mix of being able to bear life as it used to be to her, and complete exhaustion with the strength she currently had. Being a more permanent Antediluvian, made the former easier for a period of time, although it showed much more around the ice Elemi, than with anything else. They held similar views with life, but she still remained to be the one between them, more willing to push past the troubles of living. So many moments where the older Elemi had that certain stare into the distance, or the potential to.
Most relationships were built on the idea of attraction, but when the other person so clearly held strong feelings for a former relationship, there were a lot of obstacles. One that didn't necessarily had to be addressed, as she already took the kind of actions she felt were appropriate, given the passing time and situation. But there were still a lot of personal worries that she held, which only her own experimentation with others, could have really solved.
The power the Queen of Demons had granted her, placed her at a point in her life, where although she felt there was much more power for her to gain, it also made her tire of past troubles. There was certain desire to move forward, and more comfort in approaching things that she normally wouldn't have.
Even the willingness to admit certain things, and acceptance for others, had really captivated her decisions. The wish she made on Earth had played a role in things as well, but she credited what could essentially be summed up as being restless, more because of the Demon Queen's power than anything.
And this feeling was what had made the fire Elemi, be one of the individuals she was willing to honor with a hug, more for with someone personal. It always left a feeling of some sort of security for her to do so, even if the elemental felt much differently with all this. The girl's body wasn't stiff or rigid, but it certainly didn't seem like her action was expected, by the look of things after. Though it was pretty obvious how harmless it really was.
"I think you're pretty familiar with everyone there enough, to help pass these things out when we go back."
When it came to street food, and the kind of heavy climate this planet could have, meat was something of an abundance, due to its warmth. The introduction of fire Elemi, whose natural heat waved away what snow would have otherwise flown past, didn't make that rung any less true. It was filling as food should really be, and there was an assortment of things she had gotten for everyone, recalling what their favorites were. The basics of the work needed to be done with these photoshoots, they should have gotten to by now, and it was only a careful trip back there, that could give them a bit of a break.
"If you think so."
The task of carrying things back was a two handed job, even if things were either in boxed or bottled containers. So she didn't need to really carry the younger Elemi back, as they chose to flew back there. She still felt it was necessary to feel out the area, a faint but familiar presence, making her raise an eyebrow, although didn't distract her as they returned and warmed up in the room. A lively atmosphere was just to be expected with this kind of crew.
She could tell that throughout their short absence, her partner must have been led around the room for certain shots, recognizing light work when she had saw it. Which was good, if things were really going in the direction that she had figured it might. Her sensing wasn't really something that was wrong.
"Lady Rukia, you're back! You got the katsu, right?"
One of the ones that were lounging around, a young woman she knew to do other angle shots, had hopped up to greet them. Looking between the two bags she was carrying in one hand, and what Lithi was holding, she had nodded, though slightly turned as a gesture to the fire Elemi. Curry was pretty popular, regardless of what being one was. And the pork cutlet she knew this one to like, she could tell just how savory it was to the human.
"Woah woah! You can't just go and look through those you know? Not without at least offering to help pass this stuff around. Ramune...ramune."
Another woman had came up to them, accepting the bags that she had held out, to search for the beverage contained in a glass bottle. What made the bottles so popular, was that one needed to push the marble within the drink down, to open up the seal. Lighting was more what this one had worked with, although each and every one of the crew here, had their names written down on the containers in the first place. They just needed to spend a few minutes to look.
While she walked a bit further away, as this whole thing was figured out, the ice hybrid had came over as well, commenting on the resolve that Lithi had found for herself. She didn't waste any time in passing over the chocolate beverage that the other woman had requested, giving a glance down at those lips as she did. Claiming a position like this, was undoubtedly a milestone for either of them, and she'd always remember the night of her False God ritual, where she felt a certain kind of change within the hybrid. She suppose it had to do with her own experiences, but their first kiss wasn't new to her.
Things that personal always held a kind of difference, that wasn't just the fact that there were certain areas of the body, that were more sensitive than others. Before even coming into their relationship, she had gone months without pursuing anything really personal, but could still remember the kind of comfort such things held. Different people meant little differences, but they were memorable ones, and no matter the person, there was a 'fit' to it.
"If you think it could help with your issue, a 6 week challenge is the average, when trying something new."
As far as she could tell, that must have been what the younger Elemi was alluding to. There was natural heat around the girl, but her biggest issue since returning away from a more elemental body, was being incapable of summoning fire again, without some kind of extreme effort. It was like a loss of identity.
While the fire Elemi had said something more regarding her input, the last of what box containers there were, filled with food, had been passed over. Nikuman, taiyaki, and a few other things, were light finger food she had stuffed within her own box. Nothing really unusual, as she didn't really need to eat much as a Vampire, although the thought of food had her lightly touch her neck, wistfully thinking about how much she liked being lightly bitten there.
"From the looks of it, you only really need to make a couple more official statements now in front of the camera. Just some light stuff about what this place means, along with mentions and emphasis on the people and goals."
Only a few pieces of food eaten, and one of the PR crew members had came over, showing her shots of what her partner was meant to be doing, while she and the younger Elemi had been gone. Natural conversation that they believed would capture the expression they were looking for, was how to capture these snapshots. There were a lot of questions that came to mind that she suggested to them in the past, which were meant to bring out that fleeting happiness.
It was never an easy process, knowing it was an issue she had herself, but there wasn't any complaints she had in mind, going through the camera here. She had stopped focusing on the signature since she came back, but she knew it hadn't gotten close to here yet, although she knew it was a matter of time.
"It's a bit unexpected, but I sensed Duvainel on the way here back with some of the others."
The pinkette, last she saw of her, had been one of the few individuals that she spoke highly of, having been someone she had come across early on as a Vampire. They had made an agreement which could be improved on, especially knowing current circumstances. Although Tomina, the hybrid she openly viewed as more of a Saiyan than an Elemi, she spoke of a little more often than most. If only because they had been so close in power, before the Tournament of Power.
"Makes me wonder how things are with Tomina. The Tournament of Power has truly seemed to cement itself as being a warning by those deities, that villainy can't be bad enough to ruin the mortal level."
Though possibly the biggest event in her life that she had missed out on, she held no regrets on doing so, especially when she had made it rather clear to those who knew her, how the recruiter had never even offered her a chance to join. It was an insult, and a strong possibility that at the time, she hadn't even been one of the top 10 strongest fighters in the universe. The list must have changed greatly since then, thanks to the Demon Queen's power, and from what she could feel out with her godly ki, it must have been true. Someone with a god form would have made themselves known if there was an abundance.
But the idea a group of individuals even reaching this form, and considering themselves to be 'gods', when their intelligence and thinking went against that, was exactly the reason why the ritual to become one made them nothing more than false gods. Especially with the limit the form actually held.
It needed to be surpassed, for them to truly be gods, but she'd still kill any one of these individuals dumb enough, to somehow miss the fact that the mortal level was meant to be intact. The idea of wishing away their power as well, was too unlikely for someone of her level, so repeated deaths were the only thing that would keep those deities from interfering. It should have been an embarrassment, to even have the help of those higher gods.
Their existence was one of the things that proved wrong many religions, but for this universe to continue being bad enough for them to intervene, after recovering from the Tournament of Power, only said to her how many individuals really needed to stay in Hell for messing with the order.
If life was truly enough of a game, that their population determined whether or not they could continue to exist, then wiping and reviving through the dragonballs should have been a right for those who cared about the mortal level. Though those gods should have already been aware what could happen.
She had slightly leaned up against her partner, while this whole matter was being played out, that naturally cold body being one of the things she had a liking towards. There was some masochism within her, that could view pain as more of an enjoyment, and this cold was just one of those differences.
The only real shifts in movement she had made, was lightly offering most of her food away to the younger Elemi.
The smell of food.
There was a lot of things that reminded her of how they used to be for her, and food was one of them. It didn't matter if it hadn't really been like what she had long remembered, before she had even come into knowing the Vampire. A lot of food had such nice scents, it was just comforting in a way that fire had used to be for her. She couldn't really explain the reason as for why, but it wasn't like she had really needed to understand that stuff.
It was one of the few things she really still had left, that actually felt right to her. All of these things that had changed, they should have really been making her cry like she had used to, but she just couldn't. So much had happened since the other Elemi had came to this planet, and the idea that these issues were all just exhaustion, she just couldn't believe that. There must have been something wrong with her, that doctors couldn't see.
Waiting in line hadn't really taken too long, but this one vendor hadn't really been the only visit they had given. She and the woman had went around, going to different ones, where she had noticed specific names were marked down on these boxed containers, that were put right into plastic bags.
"Are you sure you wouldn't like to try that?"
"Yes."
There were a couple of times while they were going around, where the Vampire had offered to buy something for her to taste, but her answer had remained the same. They weren't even things that she had even been eying for herself, though she wouldn't deny to herself that a lot of these things smelled good.
She was sure that the woman had bought a few of them anyway, just to support the business here, but she couldn't really know for sure. That PR crew that they had left behind for all of this, some of them could have liked the things she had been offered. It wouldn't have been really good to assume.
It wasn't her money anyway. No matter how much the Vampire had been trying within the last two years, to make out that they were an adoptive family, she just didn't feel like a lot of what the woman owned, could really be something of hers. Even if she did remember part of herself had craved that acceptance.
Or used to, anyway. She wasn't sure of a lot of things anymore, and that was just one of them. When they had finally left flying to return to the others, bags of food in both of their hands, the Vampire had made another comment on what she was meant to be capable of. But even though it was easy to give her own answer, she wondered if she really did know the faces belonging to the names of these containers, without having to be told who they were.
There was an obvious difference in the air outside and in this building, even if they hadn't been gone for that long. She didn't really feel out for anything, just wanting to move on with things, but even she had been able to notice how things were around here, when it came to these workers.
They didn't even address her, only the Vampire, who didn't even correct them. This was supposed to be her adoptive mother, and one of the strongest in the universe, with that kind of power, but she didn't even seem to notice that? That PR member had shuffled in the woman's bags first, before moving on to check hers. She remained silent, allowing this woman to search for what she had wanted, even though she was meant to personally hand these things to them.
But she had that chance for the next one, who really only mimicked what the other one did, and went to check the Vampire's bags first. Even what thanks she had gotten, couldn't rid this feeling she got of not being noticed, at least until her other adoptive mother, had came and commented on what she brought up to the Vampire. A 6 week challenge. So that was supposed to be how long she had tried to push herself enough, to start burning her fire again.
"It's not going to be a problem."
She had said it more to the older Elemi, although she did give a glance to the other woman, who seemed to be paying fully attention to the ice hybrid. She wasn't sure how she really felt about it. Was she supposed to be happy, the Vampire always managed to find some way to set a mood like that?
It was the other woman's lips, that she was sure was being eyed. Something she would have thought about more, if it wasn't for one of the PR crew members coming over with the rest of the bagged food, and also a camera to show the Vampire. While the woman had went on about her thoughts on the photos, her eyes had somewhat raised in interest, actually finding a boxed container for herself to actually eat. It should have been expected, but there was a bit of sadness that came over her, knowing how much her old self would have cried, seeing what was actually in here. Oden. One of her favorites.
She ate it a lot when she had came here, even though it used to fill her with pain, knowing it wasn't meant to be eaten quickly, since it was stewed for a long time. Passing the rest of the boxes that weren't hers, to the Vampire, she ate her lunch in silence, slurping while she had listened.
It was just so stupid, being the way she was now, but doing something that was noticeably loud, even if everyone else around them were talking. She really hated how much had really changed about herself, and even while eating something like this, full of memories, she didn't want to accept exhaustion was her issue with he performance. It just didn't feel right at all, that was the very reason she had try so hard now to even burn like she did before.
The Vampire had talked about a lot of things that she wasn't completely sure how familiar she was. The name Duvainel rung a bell, along with the name Tomina, and they had been told of the Tournament of Power enough, for it to be impossible not to know about what happened there.
But while she knew these people had meant a lot to the woman, just how much were they supposed to mean for her? Her eyes had glanced over once at these two, noticing how the Vampire was leaning close to the older Elemi. If they weren't all taking a break to eat, she was sure the woman have rested her head too.
More food was offered to her, which she found herself actually accepting this time from the Vampire, the warmth in her heart being something that felt so unfamiliar to her now. She wanted to take her mind off of it, and that had came from feeling some presences get closer and closer to this building.
She didn't announce their arrival, only wolfing down whatever stew was left, and bringing the box with her as she silently left.
Working with a Vampire really introduced a lot of new things to her.
Though she had met enough of the community, to really know that not all of them could really think as much as Rukia did. She wanted to really say the woman was really read for the worst to happen, and one of the most obvious things that could go wrong, was one of them being impersonated by a shapeshifter.
There was only certain things that someone could have really mimicked about her other friends, and the idea of cloning had came up once. But a clear difference with either of those two, was that there was an extent. A shapeshifter couldn't really know too many details of what went on in their lives, and a clone would likely have either a weaker power level, or a stronger one that the others couldn't have possibly gained in a short amount of time.
They only knew a couple of people who could be near the Vampire's level, and they did document progress of each other. A lot of their friends weren't the type to really train, being both human, and just uninterested in really doing more than live the kind of good life, which the Vampire could offer them.
But somehow and through some way, the woman was still sure it could happen. She was confided in a lot, and there was so many vivid descriptions on just how the Vampire could have been stabbed on the back, and which one would have really affected her the most, if she had caught this faker in the act.
Within the last few years, there was the idea that there could have been a fake Cryonia one day, and just how easy it might have been for the woman to fall for it. Those two and their whole relationship, was something she couldn't really make out, more than what it was actually supposed to be.
She was meant to be happy that a friend of hers had gotten into that long of a relationship, and she really was. But she could sense from how much she and the Vampire talked, that the woman was always trying to figuratively grab onto what was meant to be 'right', with some of her decisions.
They talked enough to know there was a certain longing at times, which in the end of it all, still managed to narrow down to how much the Vampire would rather just lie around and nestle up if she could. If there was any strong feeling within that relationship there, it was the woman wanting to hold someone or be held in the kind of way that was different from what friends could really give. She didn't really try to understand it any more than that.
There was a lot of things in life that were like that, and as far as she could tell, it really only meant the Vampire had some insecurities about that relationship, which wasn't all about how things would go if the ice hybrid had ever died. That there, was a big kind of issue to happen.
The brunette was the type to either mourn for 2 years, like most widows were meant to, before moving on. Or, she could do what the elemental had been doing, and continue to mourn. Because it was just a big question of what would actually happen, with how long Elemis would otherwise live normally.
"Oh wow. So you actually don't care about the complications that come from working with Demons. To an extent, anyway. Most people wouldn't really bother dealing with the heroes who'd be against that kind of thing."
What thoughts she had about those other two, had been waved away at the moment, as she listened to the woman's words, wondering if it sounded like something that could have been made up. There was just so much trust put into them by the Vampire, to go and make sure that nothing would turn out wrong.
She knew for sure herself, how much she'd see for a disaster to partially be her fault, knowing she was usually one of the people allowing people to land on this planet in the first place. They might have a weakness in being unable to detect stealth ships, but it wasn't as if they lacked manpower.
"Well if you were willing to work with Demons, then I guess you couldn't have changed that much, and went 'evil' or something. At least, in our standards."
With how the Vampire was more than willing to have the Demons kill people for her, 'evil' for them had meant going out of line, and killing people like her under Rukia. It wasn't really the best thing to do, considering the woman was more than willing to stay out of the way, when it came to what they did.
"There's also cloning being a thing, but that's also pretty obvious, when we know how strong the others can go."
It was nice to actually have this kind of back and forth thinking, to where the other person brought up what she had been thinking of. Any shapeshifter would have really been only marking themselves as stupid, to really do something like that, but it was still always possible that it could happen.
She only wondered why, and what the point actually was. The whole idea of not really having anything to hide, was pretty true with the Vampire for the most part. But the Queen of Demons wasn't really going to help herself, to go and make someone like the Vampire out, to be working for evil or something.
Not when people didn't really get what was going on with the brunette in the first place. Especially with all of the things that had really happened within the last few years. There was a lot of certain leniency, and with how far back these two had seemed to know each other, the Vampire wouldn't mind a lot.
"Probably not the right word to really use, but that's good, I guess. So touching's not going to like set it off or anything, cause we could really just go outside here."
Though the first couple of words had relived her on the idea that this wasn't some kind of bomb situation, she did cautiously ask, before trying to guide the woman out into the open climate this planet had to it. A place of heavy snow that without the fire Elemi naturally pushing back the weather into nothing, or the ice Elemi absorbing it, would be a whole lot worse. But all of that could really be seen more in the other cities, than a place like this.
"That sounds like me. We've only really had one other Majin as an ally, but that's only been a recent thing within the last few years, because she's not like me. Rukia really likes to emphasize the difference between Majins who have absorbed, and who hasn't. The Saiyan's still stationed on Namek, learning to talk."
Closer and closer, it was the presences she was feeling of two others headed to their location, that was keeping her from wondering just what was such a big deal about this transformation, that had to be a secret here. The Kold Demons had a mix of ugly transformations, and they knew some people with even more.
"I'm not really getting the issue with this thing going on with you. Is it cause your transformation is ugly or something? Rukia is pretty tolerant of a lot of things. Or is it like a whole, 'I can't control this power' situation? Cause I've had those issues too with my transformations."
There were a lot of differences here with all this, but whether or not the woman had answered, the two Vampires that had shown up to bring them to Rukia, had cut in to carry them assuming willingness, before dashing off. She would have done it all on her own if she really could without these two.
Silver and lavender hair, had showed that it was Natsumi and Touka, that had picked them up, and headed a bit further of Republic. She could feel Rukia and a couple of others there, and these two should have been capable enough to get there before whatever was going on with the woman could happen.
Traveling with Vampires, it was pretty easy to notice just how quickly things became a blur. Before she had knew it, they had stopped, but only Touka had winded up actually leaving. They were urged in by the silver-haired Vampire, only to be stopped at the base of things by Lithi.
The lobby was relatively large enough to where the Elemi standing, obstructed the view of where the Vampire and the others were, but their presence could clearly be felt. The only distracting thing was knowing that the elemental was eating something in that box container she was carrying.
Looking past the only Vampire left with them, was the glance at the woman she had been questioning. She had also noticed just how much the younger Elemi was making this whole thing out to be some kind of house visit, if she was really blocking the door that led deeper into the lobby, and having them stand out in this arch here. She couldn't really understand the girl that much, but like with a lot of things, she had smiled away at what was going on.
"A lot has gone on within the last two years. With how much of it there is, you'll have to work through with what they're already doing here."
For the first time since picking them up, Natsumi had actually spoken, and she imagined that with whatever the Vampire had been doing, it only meant that this unexpected visit wasn't going to delay any work they were already doing there. She wouldn't doubt that there really was a lot of things to do.
The Elemi had slightly nodded to show her agreement, presenting her leftovers as an offering, before going on to actually let them inside. She hadn't really been doing much before, but all of the things going on with this woman, she wanted to be apart of, rather than going back to staying at headquarters.
It was usually the silver-haired Vampire leading the way, but things were different today.
TWC: 20,261Here and here are where I picked out most of the street food.
Cryonia Rukia and Lithi spent a short time going around to several street food vendors, before actually returning. Rukia mostly pays attention to Cryonia, while somewhat overseeing where things should be since they were gone. Which during their absence, would have been a couple of photoshoots presenting the lobby and other rooms, with Cryonia being directed around to sit and make the kind of expressions you'd find in a typical newsletter.
Food is passed around in take out containers, and Rukia chooses a light lunch for herself as usual, but while thinking about food (And thus blood), her thoughts go back to how much she likes hickies. There's some other reminiscing about Cryonia, and later while bringing up how she sensed Duvainel, openly naming Tomina, and bringing up the Tournament of Power, she somewhat leans against Cryonia.
Duvainel Sayako keeps talking about various things, confirming that Duvainel had heard right, and overall with this whole suppression thing, doesn't understand the issue. The two Vampires meant to pick them up and head further within the city to where Rukia and the others were, show up silently, and offers to bring them there quickly assuming Duvainel is willing. But regardless of how they get there, because the ship hangars are apart of the city, and cities have people, Lithi senses them and stops them from entering for a moment before letting them through.
“Well, I guess the best way to say it, is that I don’t care too much on who the job wants me to hunt down. As long as I’m paid for it, then that’s the problem solved right there. Well, that and as long as they’re not someone who I see a possible financial interest from.”, she would admit as she would try to think of the best way to explain these…’heroes’. “That is the thing about these ‘heroes’ now isn’t it, so persistent in their demeanor. They always seem to miss the true scales of things. In my experience, the best way of dealing with them has always been…to split them up. The bigger their group is, the more trouble they form. If you can get them against each other however, you have less fish to focus on yourself. The moment they are so focused on each other, is the moment you can strike without notice.”, she would acknowledge as they continued on with their waiting. She would listen in as she described the processes of cloning and how it would fail. All she could do was nod her head in agreement with such a thought. The idea of cloning being discovered so easily should be obvious with the power difference, the only worry would start to come if the clone had been close to the original’s power. A dangerous move for whoever made the clone as well risked leaking themselves out, as well as what threat they could provide.
“Ugly? Well…that used to be a reason I hid it before. At least back when I was younger when my form was still more incomplete then it is now. Ugly enough I would almost say that Ripley Scott and Freddy Craven would have had nightmares about that kind of terror. An alien among the other Earthlings I was with, you could say even.”, she would comment a little jokingly before continuing, “No, it is just I only recently evolved this form, I got so used to hiding my true form that I’m kind of used to staying like this, though with the amount of power the form exerts so, suddenly, I guess you could say I don’t have full control of my strength in it yet. One wrong step would probably send me round the world twice.”, Duvainel would try to explain as she kept her eyes on the majin. Slowly she could feel however the ever approaching ki signatures of two figures approaching them. They never spoke, unlike what she had seen of the other so far on this planet. In a way it was chilling as it aired a sense of importance in these two. When they had motioned for the two to have stood. There was not a single bit of hesitation as she followed behind Sayako.
When the elemental creature had paused them in the lobby, she had remained silent. The elemental energy she could feel from this creature invigorated her own elemental energy, one of the original races that had made up her form before she had adapted further. It was something still that powered her own elemental powers of twilight energy. Only when they had gone a bit further had the silent figure spoken. “Nothing gained wouldn’t be worth without the work.”, she would speak as she would proceed to walk in, following what directions they would give. This wasn’t her world, the right to first speech wasn’t hers to follow. She kept her ears listening however as she heard for any details to make out her current situation.
Cryonia did exactly as was suggested for the photoshoots. Although this kind of thing wasn't unfamiliar to her. Being on the Elemi council naturally attracted a lot of public interest. Cryonia hadn’t gotten much of food. She seemed content to sip on her hot chocolate and bask in the attention that Rukia was giving her. The ice Elemi frowned when a name qas mentioned then.
“Dyvainel? Who is that? That name sound familiar…”
Her brow furrowed as she tried to recall where she had heard that name. Nothing came to mind though. When Rukia leaned against her, Cryonia wrapped an arm around the Vampire’s shoulder around he smiled. Rukia was surprisingly affectionate in public. She didn’t care quite as strongly as Cryonia did around nebo it her public image. Well, if Rukia was this comfortable about displaying their relationship, then so was she.
It was the one thing about business that could quickly become routine, once settling into the fact of what was meant to be done on a day to day basis. They both had experiences through their positions, handling the kind of affairs that so many others wouldn't be familiar of, or even aware had went on.
Capsule Corp, with its long history on planet Earth, before she had moved the main base of corporation here, dealt with the kind of work that was obvious but still underestimated. The line of products that they had, and anything new that they could have possibly came up with, was numerous.
Things that could be seen, but still remained to have more processes to it that were unseen. The things involved with PR, were nowhere near the kind of work that her scientists did, though it was useful nonetheless. Things like the emergency broadcast for this city, and reminders that showed up on the large screens that people would be able to see, were still something that was needed to be taken care of. It would have been easy to just use what one of the other cities had, but it wouldn't have been personal to do so. There was a certain trust being given, that they had actually cared about this planet.
Commercial shoots could be filled in by the Elemi population, who really had the talent for it, but specific scheduling would involve the elemental as a presence needed to show up. Being the one who was meant to look after this city, brought with it expectations, and that was one of them.
The process regarding all of this, she had already introduced to the ice hybrid, when Yggdrasil had been the center location, that was meant to be finished first months back. It was where the Kold Demon city had used to be after all, and the business district of the planet overall. More so than others.
Trust and building something personal, were the two very things that she had kept emphasizing, with the locals that were meant to actually be on the planet. A lot of this success was because of them, and it would only be because of them, could everything be rebuilt in the case that war had happened.
As much as she had wished to avoid damage that was beyond repair, even what allies she could afford to leave behind on the planet, weren't likely going to be able to prevent large casualties. There were only so many things her girls were capable of, that outside influences were necessary to win.
Although a good enough distraction, but one that would make the others vulnerable, could also just end things entirely in one go. The more time that the Demons had upon starting the war, the more deaths that would befall, and the risk that she and so many others would be in danger.
For them, it would be so easy to take away their lives. What did theirs matter, when the Demons had armies that bowed to only several? There was a stark difference to what Vampires had, and just how many could even be in small rule of their own. Shared titles, like a good hierarchy should have.
But it was all because of this, that she could see it all going to hell, the moment the Demons had decided they wanted to attack. They were able to appear anywhere on the planet with those portals of theirs, making the idea of watching for ships, less of a priority. There were no leaving these beings alive either. They were meant to kill, if the Queen of Demons had meant anything at all with her declaration, and prove it to be more than a tantrum.
There were so many things that could come at any moment, and that familiar presence that she had felt on its way here, were reminders of what could happen. Beyond the Bio-Android, the Elemi who had tried to recruit her for the Tournament of Power, was the only one she had in mind, but was a very unlikely ally due to her ties. Those Saiyans of the Galactic Kingdom, why wouldn't they enjoy the failures of a faction who might struggle against the Demons?
Especially when there was someone like her, who had started to breach into the world of the gods? She was someone unfamiliar in their eyes, and an obvious threat, just because she would never be put into a political position, where she was the subservient one rather than someone who would lead.
The life on this planet would be on her shoulders, and she was so confident she had yet to have gotten anywhere near that King of The Saiyans. To surpass him meant security from here on out, knowing that he was the one who was likely the strongest of this universe. Overcoming him wasn't something that was difficult, but one that had took time. It was this feeling of being so close to the one that was supposed to mean a lot to her, that she had tried to hold onto and memorize, knowing just how short of a time there would be to do so. It was something she recognized, but didn't bother her like on other days.
"A friend. Someone who could help, if this war ever happens."
The power level that she had felt wasn't much, and estimation had reasoned it was something likely to continue ringing true, even if the woman had actually powered up fully. There was a long way to go, if there was going to be any real security, as that fire Elemi, had been the only one close to her power.
She had noticed pretty easily that Tomina hadn't even been a concern to the elemental. It could have just been due to her partner thinking more of who the Bio-Android was, whose secret that she had continued to keep. But if this was really the case, then it was disappointing really, not to hear some kind of light jab or input about the fire Elemi. With the kind of power that woman had, it was really a detriment to know that hybrid was tied down.
Probably could even settle into what was essentially a subservient spot in her eyes, if the past two years had really been that peaceful. A lot of beings decided to have kids, which while helped out with the mortal level, also brought them into a world of danger, knowing it only took Demons attacking.
"I can talk to the others, and give you guys time to talk to her, but you'll be pulled away now and again."
"Well take Lithi with you when you're ready."
She hadn't really even looked at the direction where Lithi had went off too, though knew from sensing her presence, that the silver-haired Vampire was the first one to come over. Natsumi could have easily been her right hand, and essentially was within their kind's community. But next to the Majin, there was just a stark difference. There was only a nod, the Vampire only sparsely having smiled politely to the elemental, when there were clear gestures to her.
While the woman had left to speak with the PR crew to explain the situation, the more younger Elemi had came back. Sayako and her old friend had distanced themselves back. No matter what had went on within the last few years that had caused such a large absence, it was how things could be made up for that had really mattered. A lot of people would have felt some kind of hurt, but it was good to move on from such things, at this point in her life.
"She seems nice."
Smacked lips from the sounds of eating, came from the fire Elemi, who stood near her at the side, turning to gesture at the other two to come forward. She had to admit that it was surprising to see that the Bio-Android was so cautious, but the Majin didn't look particularly slightest in worry.
If anything, the alien rubbing her neck as she looked at all of them here, she knew was a kind of itch wanting to know whether to tell what she heard. Because while a summary would have been nice, it was better to actually hear from the Bio-Android herself, knowing details could be missed.
"I'm not completely certain when the two of you had met, but I'd assume there should be some familiarity."
Several years was more than enough time for changes to happen. Their new guest could have changed herself into just about any kind of form, but it wasn't something that would have been a shock to her. She had Vampires who became deformed upon turning, but was able to use their bloodmagic to fix such issues, the moment they had gained Refined Control. With the number of them there were, even after culling each other, it'd be hard to blend in otherwise.
What her partner could have really said to the Bio-Android, if anything at all, it made her wonder just how much she had really knew. The secret had never been something she had broken, but it also never came to her mind as a danger and need on hiding. Though people had different circumstances, she supposed.
"It is good to see you again, even if you're more cautious than you've really needed to be. I'd like to hear of it, but also make some guesses myself. You must have died at least once by now, if contact has been this difficult. How was it? I've yet to die myself, but certain events have made it obvious there's an afterlife, though not one I would ever take a liking to. Still, knowing the ability to cheat death is possible, has given me confidence."
Between her and Sayako, her eyes had gazed to read for any accuracy to her first guess. Unless the Bio-Android had turned out to be some kind of space scam artist, death was also the only thing she could really see, as to why there had been such a long absence. They had a deal, even if she was much weaker back then, than she was now. It was one of the things that always made it so special, knowing how much of a power gap that there often was.
"Does anything with that absence also have anything to do with the Demons? Sayako should have already told you we're dealing with an issue concerning them, and I'd like to work on updating the deal we had made, since this inevitable thing with the Demons, are an annoyance."
For as many of those they had working for them, it might have been because the Demons only had several leaders, that their reach didn't seem as obvious as it should have been. With her own girls, it was their different origins, and generally confidence, that distinguished them from others.
It wasn't even the idea of acting like one had belonged, that could have just about anyone get away with it as well. There were certain procedures, which rotated in the way that wasn't meant to be predictable, as more often than not, it was up to her allies to decide where they wanted to be stationed.
But this absence with the Bio-Android, and dealing with them herself, made it a possibility that there was a chance something else was going on. With the mentality their queen had, and how generally disorganized the Demons were, there was only a reason to be cautious, rather than fear them.
In the end if she had somehow managed to lose everything, as that spiteful queen had promised, even despite taking the precautions to make everyone evacuate, then it only meant seeking vengeance for however long she was able to live. How long it'd take for the others to return, it was too difficult to tell. And it would have been too much of a waste to go after the dragonballs, when it was proven souls that died could revive on their own to an extent.
"A lot has happened, and there's not enough power to guarantee victory. But I suppose those things can be dived into, as things are taken care of here."
Being within the lobby, gesturing those two to sit down shouldn't have really be an issue. Though a bit of the focus here, with how today was the ice elemental succeeding her for this position, lied on Capsule Corp work. The most that could be done within this office was recording the basics.
Whether or not these two had used up her earlier introduction to say a little of what they needed, the silver-haired Vampire had came back, eyes glancing over at her partner and her second eldest. They would practically be in and out of conversation for what she could bring up to the Bio-Android, assuming the both of them didn't leave to step outside for whatever reason. Similarly to how she had caught up with the ice Elemi, she had the idea to do the same now.
A couple of years ago, she would have considered testing the Bio-Android first, on how trustworthy she actually was. But Sayako should have already taken care of that, and right now, they needed to pave the way into preparing for this war than anything else. As much as she had wanted to believe her old friend could get stronger in a short amount of time, it was expecting too much, out of what she had already hope the others could have achieved.
Unless they could recruit that Saiyan hybrid, the life of this planet weighed on her shoulders.
What was so special about this person?
It was a question she had wanted to know the answer to, like a lot of things since being back in this skin. There were a lot of times that the name Duvainel was mentioned positively, but it couldn't have been because of power. It sounded like this person was supposed to be someone to trust.
So then why haven't they really seen them for so long? Walking out to stop them, the stew had her making loud slurping sounds, as her eyes had really looked at this person for something special about them. The other Elemi in this city, maybe they had met someone who was like this, and that was why she was special? Her ki felt like an Elemi, and she was stronger than what she knew everyone else in this city was like. But that wasn't a good reason.
There was probably a lot of things those two had probably already talked about, eying the Majin, and whatever this person was here for, it was supposed to be obvious later wasn't it? Having someone like this, wasn't really a big deal to her. That woman knew a lot of people, but liking someone so much to keep talking about them back then, was different. And that difference had her think back to the idea of how the Demons were supposed to attack them.
What they were supposed to look out for. She couldn't remember a lot about that day in West City, other than knowing that she was there. How much things had changed after that attack, all the way up to how things were for her now. Different. She wasn't supposed to be this kind of person, not feeling for a lot of things anymore. Letting them through was never an issue. It was giving who brought them hear, to go ahead first, and talk to those other two.
That had taken maybe a minute. Sitting on the other side of the Vampire, was really the only place for her, to even look more at this person. The things that they had talked about, it made her look between this new person and the older Elemi, who were being made the center of attention.
This person possibly having died before. The Demons maybe doing something to her too. It wasn't all of what she had expected to hear. These two must have knew each other for awhile then. They weren't normal questions, and staring at the Majin, she could see was also thinking hard about this.
"That goes for all of us here, really. I've exploded into pieces, but I didn't see anything she had already told us about, even for a split second."
The Majin had looked at the Vampire as a gesture to the idea of dying. They were always so casual about these things, but explaining it all, she could tell the few times that she was around to see it, tired them out. She didn't really care for it until it had actually happened either.
Being attacked so much by others, or even the flames she used to have, could feel like dying, but it was really all nothing but pain everywhere. Before she had really knew it, the other Vampire had came back, eying her and the older Elemi. More work. Of course. Which meant these three would be alone.
"What are we supposed to do?"
She wasn't really even needed, but that woman wanted her to be busy. The ice elemental probably would have been able to just stay behind too, if this day wasn't meant for her. The PR crew had seemed to all finish with their lunch break, and had sat up what they could in the lobby pretty specifically.
"It's a bit different from what was done for the other cities. They're going to start with the emergency broadcast system, and move on from there."
So she was supposed to just stand to the side for now then. Those broadcasts they already did in the other cities, it had the other Vampire at the center of things, with people like her or one of the locals appearing here and there. It was to make things seem more real for some of them, and put in the idea that the people of a city could really star in something if they tried out for it. But this kind of stuff was just work for her. Nothing that really helped her.
The silver-haired woman stood at the side with her, some of the PR crew handing them several papers with what looked like information on what was going to happen. There was only so many ways that they could really change up the emergency broadcast system, besides showing off different locations.
"Lady Cryonia, repeat after me if you please. This is a test of the emergency broadcast system. Locations to your nearest Capsule Corp would be shown, if this had been a real emergency. It is there where you will be escorted to Liberty, and safely off of the planet."
One of the women who had looked into her bag earlier for her lunch, had spoken to the older Elemi, with the lines matching what she had saw on paper. It was supposed to be repeated a couple of times, and on screen, it would have shown only the hybrid talking. There were different versions of these, with different kind of tones, and these guys were supposed to pick the best of them. Something she knew would have been close to the other cities.
What made what the Vampire did so special, were those red eyes staring with a certain intensity, that even the Vampire next to her didn't have. The look said a lot of things to a lot of people. But it was easy overall to pick out and understand why she was queen with those spoken words.
The other Elemi liked to tell her that she should have been proud, having a relationship with someone like that. That woman had power, and did try to help her. But it wasn't something she could like being around. That kind of attention. Not right now. She wasn't like the others around here anymore.
What could she really do when she had issues with her own fire? She didn't watch most of what the older Elemi was supposed to say, but it was obvious from the corner of her eyes, whenever the PR crew had moved the cameras and lighting around to a different part of the lobby for these variations.
"Next up will be the civilian reminders. Good morning. As a citizen of Republic, it is your responsibility to report any suspicious activity to your nearest Capsule Corp. Wearing our advanced scouters will ensure any incidents will be documented and taken care of. You play a role in keeping the lives around you safe."
Though she could still hear that PR member addressing the lines that were meant to be spoken, her eyes were on the others talking to the new guest instead. It wasn't really like she could overhear, and make sense of things, but there was just a lot about what was going on, she wanted to be included in.
Instead, her ears had only went in and out with this recorded session. There was a lot of them. The civilian reminders she knew trickling down to a handful of things. One of the ones that had her glancing back over, was how the locals around here were supposed to go to Capsule Corp for any issues.
That meant a lot of things for different people, the point of it all, and it was something that worked. But it still wasn't something like calling a friend. She was supposed to help out with that, like a lot of things that involved business, and people around had also expected for her to.
As if doing what she had used to, could really help her believe things would go back to normal.

Cryonia Rukia explains that Duvainel is a friend who could possibly help with the war with Demons. Natsumi walks up to say she'll go talk to the PR crew about what Cryonia needs to do, and Rukia gives Cryonia and the Duvainel the chance to talk. After briefly talking to Duvainel as well, Natsumi comes back and leads Cryonia along with Lithi away to record both the emergency broadcast system, and a couple of civilian reminders.
Duvainel Rukia makes a guess that Duvainel had probably died, and believes in the possibility the Demons also might be involved. She wants to update the deal they made, but has Natsumi lead Lithi and Cryonia away first, leaving behind only Sayako, due to being her second in command.
