After the whole shenanigans with the Great Ape and the strange Kai intruder, Tarro went right back into training. Following his match with Carva, Tarro still felt disappointed with the results of these last two years of training, prompting him to go into overdrive to increase his power. Before he could do that however, he decided to help out the low class Saiyan who had NOT taken Demon Powers. Tarro considered it a reward for not being a complete fuck up like that other guy. The Saiyan also figured the man would make a half-decent fighter if he just had someone to train with him and guide him the way Karota had done for Tarro. Without her Tarro wouldn’t have come along half as much as he had, and the same went for Tomina (the one who found him while he was in the midst of his rock bottom).
Meditating in an attempt to clear his mind, Tarro awaited for the Saiyan’s arrival in the confines of the home he shared with Tomina. Physical training was good and all, but Tarro also knew how important it was to train the mind. He was in the midst of intense image training once again, reenacting his fight with Carva and trying to figure out where he had gone wrong in the fight. And what he would do the next time he challenged the Commander to a duel. Sure the fight was never meant to be a win (rather a test of progress for him), but it still was unnerving to discover just how far behind he was still. Despite all of his efforts - Carva was still far ahead.
When the Saiyan arrived, Tarro would be able to sense it (as he had trained his senses to the same level as Master Karota).
It had been a couple of days after the whole incident with that demon powered up oozaru. Which had lead to Garick learning how to sense ki but in that moment of learning the skill, he had realised just how weak he was compared to everyone else on the planet. Which had motivated the saiyan warrior to become even stronger than before with him promising to gain a power that will surpass the power of an ssj.
Garick knew the only way he was going to be able to reach this unknown power was by letting go of some of his feelings towards training with others as the only way he was going to grow was by training with stronger fighters. Which kind of surprised him that the cocky saiyan from the demon ape incident had offered to do a training session with him none the less he could not deny the offer seeing as it could be a good way of growing in strength.
Garick at first would get lost as he looked around the capital for where Tarro was living with him a couple of times going down the same streets. So Garick used this as a good test to try hone on the saiyan ki signature, which surprised him with how hard it was at first until he could feel the high the power level was with it not coming that far away from his current position.
As he got to the location of the power level, Garick was kind of surprised to see that the saiyan was living in a fancy mansion 'I was expecting a regular looking house, but I did not expect this.' He thinks shocked and impressed by the house with Garick having no idea it was not Tarro house but someone else. Garick makes his way to the door as he knocks onto it as he waited for the saiyan to respond. 'I hope, I picked the right house instead of someone else.' he thinks dreading the idea of having to look around the capital again for the house as he hopes he had found the place he was looking for, Garick would double check that his weighted braces were on correctly as he stood there waiting for a response from the door.

And so he had finally arrived. Tarro had called him here in order to push the man to his limits, to see if he could help him realize his true potential. Some Saiyans needed a breakthrough moment to really began realizing their true inner potential as the elite warrior race. Once they learned how to transform into Super Saiyans, things would only continue to skyrocket for them with enough effort. Tarro just had to get him to that point, so he could evolve beyond. Tarro could tell that he had training weights on, as his power level felt a lot weaker than it had prior during the fight with the foolish Great Ape. A smart choice, but it would make this training session even worse for him. Tarro smiled. It was amusing to him, as his sense of remorse was nonexistent. It would be good for the soldier.
Hopefully Tarro wasn’t wrong, and the guy really did have potential to unlock. If not then he would feel horrible about killing a soldier by accident with over-training. But he was sure that wouldn’t happen. Tarro’s voice pushed inside the Garrick’s mind, as he used telepathy to communicate with the outside Saiyan. {“The door’s open. You can enter, rookie,”} Tarro said, his voice a bit light and amused. He had left the door open (as they usually did honestly). There were few people on the planet to worry about in terms of power, as Tomina and Tarro were among the strongest on the Planet. And the few who were above them were on civil (if not friendly) terms. No one had the daring or the will to touch them and their family.
{“Go up the stairs and take a right. From there it’s the the third door on the left.”} he would instruct him so that he could find his way towards the Gravity Chamber, where Tarro was. The first thing he would see was Tarro still deep in meditation, his yellow aura continuing to flicker and flow across the room. His focus wasn’t broken, despite the fact that he was giving directions and communicating with the man. Tarro lacked the same physical strength that Carva had, but his mental concentration and tactical awareness was miles apart. He was much more like Karota than Miso in terms of fighting, relying on techniques and finesse rather than brute power.
As Garick stood there he began to hear Tarro voice at first he found it kind of weird with Tarro talking to him. "Where are you?" he says thinking that Tarro was somewhere nearby him until he realises he must of be talking to him through his mind.
So Garick did as Tarro instructed as he was going through the mansion he would find a picture of saiyan women and Tarro from the looks of it at first he would be a bit clueless on who the women were until it hit him. "No way, general Tomina and that cocky saiyan are mates..." he would say kind of surprised by this reveal but it wasn't that big of a surprise to him. As he the guy was pretty cocky and now Garick sort of knew why after looking at the picture for a couple of minutes with him than proceed onward as he takes the stairs and takes a right just like Tarro said. Garick would find the door to the gravity room as he entered it, he finds Tarro sat there in meditation. 'So this guy also meditates as well interesting.' Garick was intrigued to find out how well Tarro could react while meditating Garick would take this moment to test out a new move he had learned.
As bright crimson aura begin to cover itself around Garick but there something odd with this aura as parts of the aura itself begins to shift as two giant claw looking things would begin to appear outside of his aura. 'Let the test begins' he would smirk knowing this does little to nothing to Tarro as his power was far above Garick current level but he was not interested in testing his strength but instead, he wanted to see his reaction to the attack with it giving Garick an impression of what kind of fighter Tarro is.
As the way, a saiyan fight in combat tells a lot about who you are and what struggles you had to go through and the things that still trouble you now. As Garick knew that his way of fighting reflected his outlook on life and what he had to go through to get to the place he is now. Garick would watch with a smirk on his face as the two giant claws from his aura begin to move at high speeds with both of them aiming to hit Tarro at different angles with one of the claws coming from above with the other coming to the sides.

Tarro let out a small chuckle as Garick cried out, wondering where he was. It was amusing how many Saiyans were unfamiliar with telepathy. {“In your mind, you idiot,”} he responded simply and bluntly. Tarro was a very harsh person, especially from people he expected things from. He would help this Garick fellow reach his full potential, even if it killed the lad. Maybe he would harden in Hell, was his sense of logic. {“If you wanna be a strong Saiyan, you should gain more focus in your mind, as well as your body. Both of these things are essential in mastering Ki, which is what’s going to make you stronger. Muscles only get you so far. I can tell you’ve trained your body hard, but you need focus. Mental training is what will help you ascend to greater heights,”} Tarro would continue to lecture him as he made his way through the mansion. Tarro could sense him stop however, making the Saiyan raise an eyebrow in confusion. What was he doing now?
Little did Garick know the mental connection was still going strong, and so when he muttered his doubt that he was married to Tomina, a vein popped up in the Major’s forehead. {“You know I can hear you, right!?”} Tarro would shout in his head loudly. No doubt it would hurt to have such a loud voice ringing in his mind, but such was the circumstance of pissing him off. The connection would break just as the Saiyan finally made his way to the gravity room, watching Tarro in the midst of his meditation.
Tarro could feel the lad’s energy rise as he prepared some sort of attack. Tarro could only help but be amused. The man had balls, Tarro couldn’t doubt that for sure. Tarro stayed still, waiting for the attack to come. Tarro didn’t do anything, rather maintaining his meditation without a scratch as the attack tickled. “As I was saying before. Mental training is what will help you ascend to greater heights. Look at me for instance. I could have blocked that attack with ease, but I’ve trained my mind to sense my surroundings and the threats around me. I still have to think fast, but my awareness on the battlefield is one of the best in the Kingdom. I could sense that attack’s weak power and conserved my energy, not even bother wasting time or energy against it. Instead… I can do this,” he would speak, breaking his meditation as his eyes opened to reveal their serious, black shade.
Within what would appear like an instance, Tarro would appear in front of Garick, unleashing a punishing blow to the stomach that would leave him in a lot of pain. Tarro held back just enough to give the lad conscious, but it was enough to hurt plenty. He would not be getting up for a little bit. “Lesson One: Don’t antagonize someone whose a lot stronger than you. That was your mistake against the Oozaru of that one Recruit. You provoked him and forced a superior officer to jump in and save you. Some of us would have just stood back and let you get hit.
I’m not saying you have to cower and run every time you’re facing someone a lot stronger than you. But be smart. Use your brain. Calculate the risk versus the reward of every action, and learn to do it without losing your response time,” Tarro would say. This would help Garick a lot. He would learn a true warrior’s mindset. Bravery was commendable, until it delved into the realm of stupidity. Tarro constantly judged every decision he made in combat, thinking ahead of his opponent until he found a clear strategy to winning. A lot of the times in serious combat, he would dodge his opponents and refrain from attacking until he got a good summation of the opponent’s abilities.
It was only in training that he was a bit more direct, as his competitiveness and his drive to prove himself outweighed his sense of reason.

Tarro took the attack head on, taking little to no damage. Tarro then responded back with:
[IN][SOT-2] Final Blow: The user launches themselves forward, and in an instant, delivers a hard punch to the opponent's stomach. Should it hit, it will probably wind the opponent. [50% Damage]
Of course to keep from killing you he suppressed himself right at the point of contact. The attack comes out to 3,535 Power/186,431 Speed
Garick smirk slowly disappears from his face as he sees his attack make connect with Tarro with the attack seeming to have done nothing at all to Tarro 'Interesting.' he thinks as he listens to Tarro words kind of surprised to hear words like this from another saiyan it was kind of strange if Garick was, to be honest, to hear that from saiyan and someone, who had attained the super saiyan form no less. As Garick watched Tarro finish his words the saiyan would suddenly be in front of Garick "Ho..." before he finishes his word. Garick feels an intense amount of pain suddenly coming from his chest as he looks down for just second seeing Tarro fist hitting his chest.
Just like that the 6.7-foot saiyan would fall down to his knees as he coughs up any spit that was inside his mouth to the ground with him struggling to catch his breath for a couple of seconds. Even though he was down on his knees, Garick would try his best to listen to Tarro words with his interest become very much intrigued by the saiyan. "Now, this what I would call a training session..hahaha," Garicks struggles to say as he begins to laugh with excitement with his chest still aching in pain from the punch but that attack had just made Garick blood getting pumped from the sheer excitement of training from someone this strong.
The 6.7-foot saiyan gets back up as he stands face to face to Tarro with the saiyan being surprisingly short compared to Garick height but even though he was shorter than Garick, yet he packs one hell of a punch. "Okay, so I need to train my mind, I never thought something like that would really help. How would we train our minds, seeing as your the expert here," he says finding Tarro ideal of having to train his mind and body quite intriguing with the saiyan not really thinking his mind would not need to be trained for him to get stronger, but if it meant he could possibly become as strong as Tarro if he did this training than Garick sees no point at least not trying out his training.

Tarro felt the vibration of his fist as it collided hard into Garrick’s stomach. Despite holding back, it was still enough to send Garrick to his knees. The recruit had a long way to go. Tarro didn’t even hit him with 2% of his normal striking power, and yet here he was on the ground helplessly spewing his guts out. Though in the recruits defense he would have had to use closer to 10% if he wasn’t wearing weights. Good on him for training his body with hard dedication. To be sure that it stayed that way Tarro glared at Garick, his dark yellow aura surging intensively with the power of one of Nasu's majors. “If you take off your weights during this training session, I’m going to turn Super Saiyan and make you regret it, understand? I’m not giving you a handicap. This is how you’re going to progress. You’re going to want to die, but that’s how you know it’s pushing you…,” he would say as the gravity turned on. The house normally regulated the gravity to normal levels for relaxation purposes despite the twenty times gravity naturally occurring on the planet. But now Tarro had brought the gravity out.
“I could tell in the Oozaru fight you’ve yet to fully acclimated to the gravity here. That’s part of the problem. So this session is two-fold. We’re going to train your mind, and push your body to its breaking point!” he said sternly. Tarro cracked his neck some, laughing a little bit as he prepared himself. “Don’t worry. I’m not totally without mercy however. We’re not just going to fight.
Instead we’re playing a game…,” he would trail off, leaving a silence in the conversation as his lips formed a rather wide smirk. This game was not going to feel very fun, nor was it going to seem easy. “You waste a lot of your movements. The way you fight is very linear. So we’re going to work on how you move. The decisions you make in a fight.
The game is this: If you catch me, you win. You cannot destroy the house. Other than that there are no rules,” he would say with a chuckle. He lowered his power level in accordance with Garick’s. He was playing fairly so that the guy had some chance of success in this mission. He readied himself as the games would begin. Tarro wondered if Garick could make him break a sweat. He supposed he’d have to find out.
But this training was going to be intense, and he wasn’t going to make it easy by any means!
"You say that like it would be punishment if If I had to fight you as Super saiyan. But that would end this training rather erupt, so you got nothing to worry about with me taking these weights off" he would say as Garick moves into very basic stance seeing as he lacked any proper knowledge of martial arts.
Garick would continue listening to Tarro words with his body feeling a bit heavier now with the gravity on with Garick still not being used to the planet gravity but he was getting close to becoming fully used to the gravity of the planet even though he been on the planet for year now it surprising that he hasn't got used to it yet.
Garick would look bit confused by when he hears Tarro say they be playing a game." A game, you say, I thought this was supposed to be training?" he says finding it bit odd. How a game would help improve his mind and body But as Tarro explains what the game would be, it became quite apparent to Garick how useful this game will be.
Garick would wait for Tarro to finish talking "I'm glad to hear, there no rules to this game of yours" he says as he pulls smile across his face with him not needing to hold back in this game. "Well, shall we begin," he says with Garick charging up two ruby cannons in his hands with him firing off his attack towards Tarro intending to use it as a distraction with him planning on getting up close to him, while he was dealing with his attack. Just as his attacks are getting quite close Tarro, Garick would than move at full speed with him intending to get up close to the saiyan major, so he can launch a melee attack, while he is defending against his other attack. “Oh trust me. I know just how to give a beating. You wouldn’t even get a Zenkai from it. You’d just be unconscious before you knew it. So make sure you stay true to your word, and keep those weights on,” Tarro would say a bit harshly. Tarro laughed as Garick seemed a bit confused about his training game. It was a rather unorthodox way of training someone, but then again Tarro was kind of an unorthodox Saiyan. “Trust me, this will help you a lot,” Tarro said with a chuckle. These games were important for developing his critical thinking skills, and allowing him to take his mind off the gravity. These things would help him down the line.
Tarro said nothing as the recruit fired two energy attacks at him. Tarro could immediately tell what his strategy was. The first attack hardly mattered. It was the second one that Garrick was counting on. Not a bad start, but a bit simplistic. “Give me some credit… You’re going to have to try way harder than that,” Tarro said as he evaded the first attack with an afterimage, appearing against a wall. Bouncing off the wall he dodged the incoming melee attack, leaving Garick to crash into the hard steel.
“Such a simplistic strategy. Hopefully you can come up with something a bit more creative! And soon!” Tarro would say with a sigh, looking rather bored.

Garick thought he had gotten Tarro with his, so-called simplest tactic, Tarro calls it but Tarro would once again prove to Garick just how much lower the food chain he was with the saiyan having dodged his melee attack, but Garick was determined to prove him wrong. So he would flare up his aura around his body with Garick body beginning to float with him using his flight to make a 60-degrees forward turn with Garick instead of hitting the wall was instead now standing on it with him quicky charging up an attack in one of his hands with him than moving that hand upwards as he fires off a barrage of ki blasts from that hand.
After that Garick would use this chance to launch a melee attack against Tarro as well While he was dodging the ki barrage. As Garick plans on using the wall as a boost with Garick focusing ki in one of his hands strengthing his melee attack even more as he trails a path towards Tarro intending to get the saiyan this time. "Let's see. You handle this one" he proudly says with a bit of irritated tone of voice. Even through Garick was getting a bit annoyed from Tarro he was still having the time of his life with Garick having never felt, so much fun even if Tarro was holding back his true strength.
Garick could still see the obvious gap between him and Tarro in not just power but also skill and that excited him for once in a while, Garick was finally facing an actual challenge that he could not overpower with overwhelming strength instead he was going to have to figure out some other way to win.
There is a tiny part of Garick mind that thinks his chances of winning this training were impossible, but Garick would ignore that part of his mind as he pushes onwards with saiyan blood boiling even more than usual with the ki in his hands feeling, even more, stronger than before. word count:340 Total word count:=1816

Tarro let out a light chuckle. He was amused for sure. The man had guts, that's for sure. Tarro was not going to let himself be outdone by a simple recruit however. The man had a long way to go before he could stand toe to toe with the Major. He was certainly being more creative, trying to use these larger ki blasts to limit the area around Tarro. For a normal opponent this move would be enough to do him in. But Tarro was on par with Karota in terms of sensing his opponents and evading their movements. For him dodging these ki blasts was easy, even with their size. “Still too slooooow,” Tarro chimed as he continued to shift from side to side against them, moving far enough away from them that they did nothing to touch him. “And the sad part here is I’m only using two percent of my actual power here… Even with weighs on… this is getting pretty sad,” he said as his face got rather serious. Tarro was being a real dick, and he knew it. But good things came to those who waited. If Garick endured through his tough regiment, he would soon discover he was full of potential. “Surely you have less obvious tricks up your sleeve. A simple ki blast barrage, even with a larger explosive range, is an easy technique to counter. Meanwhile you’ve wasted precious stamina. If this wasn’t a game, I could take you out with ease right now since your defenses are weak…,” he would lecture him as he didn’t even lose a breath. He wasn’t even using his full speed yet, not including raising his power level. Garick still had a long way to go.
But he wasn’t expecting what came next.
Garick rushed at him, his energy rising a bit as he aimed to hit Tarro with this next attack. “The first attack was another feint!” Tarro said a bit surprised. It was also fairly fast. To Garick it would appear he punched Tarro right in the face, a sign of his victory and completion of the game.
But his form proved intangible, phasing out of existence. It was an afterimage. Tarro stood on the other side of the gravity. “Well… that almost had me…Heh. You’ve got determination… I’ll give you that, recruit,” Tarro said. He wasn’t out of breath, but that was still a pretty good amount of energy he used. It was risky, but it had almost worked (despite its simplistic nature). “Add in a little more subtlety to your moves, and you might just win this game…,” Tarro said with a grin.

The saiyan warrior would think to himself 'I got him this time.' He thought. Assuming his attack had landed. The saiyan warrior would be very mistakenly wrong with Garick going through Tarro as his fist phase through the afterimage. Garick would feel frustrated thinking he had the grasp of victory, so close in his hands and yet again he was proven wrong with it making him feel like a fool.
He turns around looking towards the new position Tarro had taken in the gravity room. The saiyan warrior would give stare of sorts as he said nothing 'Seeing as the point of this game is for me to hit him. I'm guessing Tarro won't attack back but will keep on being defensive either way I should not take the chance. Luckily I had come up with a technique that can keep my offence. “Mad, recruit? Did you think hitting a Major like me would be that easy?” Tarro said. His voice was rather condescending given the harsh tone.
“I may not have the same battle power as some of the bastards in the Kingdom, but I sure as hell have the skill of any one of them. You’re tangling with the successor of the Wolf School,” he said with a bit of pride in his voice, his face cracking a cocky grin. “Sorry to say but I’m already giving you a handicap. You just have to try harder, try smarter.”
He wasn’t pulling his punches here. If Garrick wanted to be a real soldier, he was going to have to improve a lot. He was still fighting like a random street brawler, rather than an actual warrior. Warriors weren’t just about speed, strength or even what techniques they know. They needed brains. It is not always the warrior with the highest power level that wins.
As the claw headed toward him, Tarro leapt up to the ceiling to avoid the incoming attack, bouncing off the ceiling with his hands, Tarro launched himself towards the untrained Saiyan warrior (who was gathering his ki).
“If you think you can just charge up and your opponent will let you, then you haven’t paid attention to a single battle!”
Tarro gathered ki in his fist, forming a ki blast which he kept locked inside his grip. He thrusted his fist forward to punch the Saiyan in the stomach, and if it connected then it would explode and launch him against the wall of the chamber.

Tarro landed his punch, colliding his fist into the recruit with devastating force. Garrick would bounce into the wall with a loud thud. Thankfully the Gravity Chamber was built to withstand more than that. However on his way Tarro found himself surprised by a strange technique, an explosion surrounding him and damaging him. It wasn’t enough to stop his attack, but it was enough to hurt him and win Garrick the game. Garrick intentionally took a hit to the face in order to seize an opportunity in the fight to catch him off guard. Not bad, and neither was that technique of his. Garrick charged at him with another attack, wanting to prove his stuff. But Tarro was already satisfied. Tarro’s power rose as he caught the incoming punch without effort, his palm catching the fist as his fingers squeezed his knuckles.
“Allowing yourself to take a hit in order to gain the advantage and hit a difficult target. Well done. Seems you picked up on the opportunity I gave you,” Tarro would say, though his face was still rather bored and passive.
“That’ll be all for today. You can hang around here if you want to train in this room for a little longer, but I’ll be heading out now. You can come back some other time and we’ll do another exercise (albeit something different, and likely harder).”
And with that Tarro would exit the training room, ready to go grab a bite or something. Truthfully he had gotten a little carried away in the fight and unintentionally left himself open..
But the recruit didn’t need to know that.

Tarro connected his punch because you didn't really do anything to stop it, and your 2nd action wouldn't have gone off before the first. Tarro however took full damage from your attack, so basically they hit each other.
He then blocked the 2nd attack as the exercise was over.
