Monday morning!
Everyone's favorite day of the week.
Yeah, right.
Monday morning. A day in the week that the teenage descendant of the Son clan would spend sleeping, in bed or training with his lonesome. And, that was the plan, too. Just one thing got in the way of things and ultimately forced him to scrap the very idea of this. And that reason, the thing, could have been anything. And the factor that put a stilt in his plans was the least likely of the array, considering the world he lived in. Or, was it the most likely? Most likely the latter, considering the anomalies' position in Gouken's home. The anomalies name? Why, none other than Son Shizukana Shinko. The pup of Son's home!
The teenager had been asleep for the night and was hoping to sleep the morning away. He liked to resume the day in the afternoon or by noon. However, as he slept, he had completely forgotten who he allowed to sleep on his chest: Shizu. The pug he had adopted not too long back. Her bread like body laid lazily across his chest, face on her front two legs and eyes closed. A light snore leaving her medium sized frame, synched with her owner's very own snores. Their breathing patterns were even similar in this situation. And it was lovely, as Gouken drifted in then sleepy realm of nothingness and comfortably rested. Meanwhile, Shinko had her own dream. Dreaming of delicacies and food she can only hope to come to contact with. The knowledge of her dream hinted by the few flicks of her wide tongue every so often.
However, Shizu was accustomed to waking up before Gouken. It was odd, as the pup would always wake up before him and early in the morning. Same ritual and all: Shinko awoke with a silent yawn. Her mouth would open, tongue would roll out and curve into a hook like shape and her eyes would close tiredly as she yawned. After that, she'd raise herself up and pat his chest a few times with her paws and then act as his alarm. Licking his chin, which resulted in Son turning his head. Then she'd lick his cheek and forehead respectively until he'd finally concede and wake. Exactly what had happened this morning! Gouken sat up, albeit extremely tired. His wrist brought up and rubbing the saliva off of him before wiping his hand against the bed sheets and then rubbing his eyes to wake himself up. A loud and rude yawn escaping his lips as well. Shinko had hopped to his side, placing a paw on his lap to signify her presence.
"Ah..mornin' Shinko!" Gouken said in a yawn. "Slept well? I know I did." He shot a bit of a look, countered with a bark and a look of her own. The look adorable, as her eyes appeared to shimmer and sparkle while her lower lip hid her upper. The look forcing Gouken to raise his hands in mercy before she'd resume her regular old doggy smile. Patting her head, the halfie raised a brow. "What are we gonna do today..oh! I've got it! You'll love this idea, Shinko!" Gouken snapped his fingers. Visibly pleased with whatever idea came to his mind.
Waving his hand, the Saiyajin kept his smile. Shinko obediently rolling to the foot of the bed and quickly taking his pillow after her owner raised himself onto his feet. His arms raised over his head, a groan leaving him as he stretched his body out. Relieving the tension in his muscles, loosening himself. Scratching his lower back, the teen quickly dressed himself. Pulling on a black tee-shirt and his usual orange dogi pants. Boots pulled up, wrist bands also equipped. That was enough wasn't it? It wasn't like it was cold or anything..shaking his head, the young man grasped the straps of his pack tightly. Placing it on his bed for Shinko. "You know what to do, tiny. You can put the pillow there if you want, we're going to moms and pops. I wanna visit gramps." He smiled before moving to the bathroom. Brushing his teeth as he would, up and down, all around before spitting and drying. After the sequence was done with, it was then that he'd grab his pack, the pug comfortably nestled inside of the bag cuddled by a pillow. They could move now.
The pack nestled tightly against his front. He had to keep his little passenger safe at all costs, and he didn't wanna drive. Plus, he wasn't old enough, either. Darn driving rules of the world. Gouken sped out of his house, locking the door and taking the heavens in a second. Bursting off of the ground and toward the world renown West City. The flight taking a matter of seconds, the young man landing in front of a rather familiar home.
The reason this house was familiar was quite simple. It was his old house. Where he lived when he was dependant on his folks. Home of Grandpa Kokuu, Son Goutetsu and Kicho. His parents.
Few steps were needed, as the young man stepped foot into his old house. Knocking on his front door and waiting a few seconds. His patience rewarded by a sling of the door open and his father's aged face meeting his youthful mug. Haircut and face almost identical to one another. Gouken's lips curving to a wide grin. His arms opened, Son Goutetsu instantly embracing his kid. The elderly male grasping tightly unto the young Son clansmen before releasing. His old eyes peering to the pack on his boy's chest. Gouken quickly explained what was inside: A new baby he described it. Ushered into his old house, Gouken released Shinko onto the ground. Her tiny, puppy frame rolling out of the pack and her eyes still blissfully asleep. It took but a few moments for Kicho and Grandpa Kokuu to show up. Grins and smiles tossed around the room. An interesting note being that all of the men in this home appeared to don the signature Kakarot hairstyle. Though, Grandpa's was a snowy white and Goutetsu had fewer spikes and a dad's mustache. Kicho, Gouken's mother and Goutetsu's wife, however, wore a hairstyle that was shaggy and ran to her neck.
"Mom! Pop! Gramps!" Gouken exclaimed. His grandfather had taken a seat almost immediately, as he was definitely up there in age. His mother sitting beside him, while his father remained upright. "Son! How are things, how are you?" The male answered. Holding his boy by the shoulder and placing a fist onto his waist. "Im alright, pop. I brought a little guest," He pointed to Shinko. "She's a new pup. Figured you guys would wanna see 'er. Ah gramps. I need to talk to ya." He looked to Kokuu. Nodding his head toward the backyard..
