The pair entered the training room of the mansion, it was going to be another wonderful day of training for the duo since each one had their own reasons and desires for growing stronger. The shorter of the two would have the desire to have his wealth and power rival one another. And while in his true form he might be something of a threat to some he wasn't to most. There were crazy strong people out there, and while he truly didn't wish to fight often or for reasons he deemed unimportant he knew one day the day would come. He would rather discuss everything with words, after all, you don't become a CEO without knowing how to negotiate. However, even in business practice negotiations would fail and he was sure that it would happen in the future as well when it came to avoiding a fight. Due to these reasons he had to get stronger, he had to become powerful in every way of the word. "Be sure to bring it your all Echo, we can't have Mac taking control of us by slacking off." He'd say looking up to the giant dark-skinned male. Zero was glad that Echo had come to Namek when he asked, they were the greatest of friends and even bad guys needed someone to trust. It was likely because each of their underground operations relied on each other that they knew they were partners and friends to the end. It was an unusual trait for someone of their background to have this kind of trust in someone at their level of the game. "Computer activate the gravity chamber." Unfolding his arms he'd walk over to the sparring mats, the room would start to glow red as he would lower down into his fighting stance. "I wonder how long we can spar this time around, I'm eager to see you push me to my limits."
As they entered the room Echo would look down to Zero as the door closed behind them. Zero wanted Echo to bring all he had out. A worthy challenge but he knew Zero had never once shown a percent of his true power in all the time they had to know each other, even as kids. That's right and it was when they were kids that Echo had gained his dream of being better than his father in terms of power. He didn't want to be just a bodyguard for some big shot, he wanted to be the big shot. With Zero's help, his dream was starting to become a real thing. Because of this, he would always lend Zero a hand when needed which was why he had come to Namek when asked. Grinning as he looked the Kold Demon in the eyes he'd say "Well bro, it's all a matter of if you bring out your true powers. We both know you're stronger than me even in that form. Or did you forget that my father was your father's bodyguard?" Echo would look up as the humming of the gravity chamber's power would let him know they were in for good training. The shirtless man would crack his knuckles as he lifted his fist in a boxing style. A kickboxing style to be more exact, something he had been learning since a boy. The gravity would change and he would feel his body pull down on his body, on every single cell of skin. The gravity was stronger than before. They were seriously going to find their limits and push past them today. Hearing Zero's wonder Echo could only chuckle before replying "I don't know man, but if it's until one of us drop then I know it's gonna be a while. Because today you're the one who's going to the mat."
It was a bold statement from the man, but he was serious about what he said. In a burst of energy, the man would send his body like a rocket towards Zero, flying forward while twisting his torso to throw an elbow shot down at the Changeling. Echo might not have been stronger in terms of Power Level, but while Zero was in this form with those weights on, he knew they were closer. This would mean that in brute strength, reach, and size Echo had the factors to win his mind he was stronger while Zero would remain in such a powerless state, something he would aim to drive him out of one of this day, perhaps today was that day.
While Echo's sudden burst forward would take Zero off guard, he was able to lift his right arm up blocking some of the incoming damage with his forearm, though it wasn't without any drawback. The sheer force of the attack would send Zero rolling onto his back. He grunted echo's words were true he was the first to hit the mat. Quickly trying to get back to his feet he'd let the force roll him once more before planting his feet and springing forward. Keeping his tail low he'd dart towards Echo, aiming for the mat right in front of him, he'd then bend at the knees and push off the ground as he'd lift his upper body upwards towards the left from his right side sending an uppercut into the giant's face. He'd allow the force of his jump to carry him even further up as he'd quickly turn his body sending a snapping tail whip into Echo's chest. "Enjoy it, it'll be the only time I touch the mat!"
He'd use his ability to fly to send his body backward leaving Echo's reach then land onto the ground as he tried thinking of his next counter.
Echo would be happy his elbow strike at least landed on Zero in some fashion, he was trying to follow it up but there was the speed of Zero, he bounced up and forward like a bullet. Seeing his angle Echo thought he knew was Zero's plan was and he wasn't going to fall for it again. Echo would bring out his left knee in a forceful strike and curve it to the right to generate more force, however, Zero wasn't shooting to pass under his legs again and trip him, he was taking a different approach. The uppercut with sting his chin lifting his head upwards and even lifting his body from the ground a bit as he started to lean backward, then he felt a whip hit his chest, no not a whip the tail of Zero who used his tail so often and in violent ways when fighting to extend his reach or even as a way to overpressure his opponent throwing it into his combos. However, Echo wouldn't take this lying down, as quickly as the tail hit his chest the man would reach his massive hand out and squeeze grabbing the tail of Zero. Taking a single step backward and planting his foot would be enough to keep him from tipping over, he'd then rotate his hips as he'd swing towards his right with his chest and then cut downwards to pull and slam Zero into the ground, again proving Zero wrong. This time it would be Echo leaping back to gain some ground, his reach only mattered with distance which was why he hated how Zero fought with that counter striker mindset. Somehow he'd always play into it but not today. "Zero for two, my dear friend. You might want to at least drop those weights. Holding back versus me will only hurt your pride and your body." Echo taunted.
Felling his body go from moving back to being twisted back around and being pulled he'd start to panic. "WHAT!?" He'd question. Zero was confused about what was going on until he realized his tail had been grabbed. With great force, he felt himself swing through the air like a child with a wooden stick in the yard, until it was met with a sudden stop and his body would ache all over. This would actually anger Zero a bit. "How dirty of a play... Though I do admire you making it ahahaha. " He'd rise to his feet and enter his stance once more. "This form will be more than enough, allow me to prove it to you."
Now back onto his feet Zero would use his speeds over echo's strength. He'd come in quick and fast, his body moving as fast as it could with the gravity and weights pulling down on his frame. Zero would stop right as he'd get in echo's reach as his body would then vanish, though an image of his former self would remain there. Zero's body, of course, moved in a blur as it was behind Echo. Cocking both his back Echo would spin around allowing his tail to slam forward and then followed the whip with a flurry of punches,6 to be exact. His body would move forward as he struck attempting to land as many punches as possible. Zero would show Echo that he was not to be messed with not today.
Echo watched as the body of Zero came forward, as it did he'd send out a single punch aimed for Zero's chest, though the image of Zero would only fade away, he was confused what just happened? Then a painful whipping pain would be felt on his back sending him forward a few steps before he could even turn around he felt small but heavy strikes as well causing his chest to peek out as he'd start to lose his balance. Before the combo could be finished though he'd push his ki from his body as a purple sphere would form around him pushing Zero away. His Body would turn Face Zero sort of panting a bit as he did so. He had to admit that the speed advantage was Zero's and that move was something he'd have to look out for in the future. It was quite the trick but so was his barrier, after all, he was sure Zero had never seen Echo do such a move. "Well, ya got some tricks after all. But Bro, you ain't gonna win like this..."
Zero would be happy that his strikes had landed, most of them anyway, and his after image skill had paid off. He too has a slight pant as he looked over the ki barrier that protected Echo form other assaults. "My my, you still think there's a chance or you don't you dear friend. Even if you were to best me in this room, outside of it we both know I would demolish you." Zero wore a smirk as the words left his mouth. Zero knew they were about even in terms of power currently, and each had advantages over the other in one physical aspect. The true winner wouldn't be decided from this not entirely anyway.
Before they could continue the spar the computer would lower the gravity of the room to normal as the humming of the engines would lower. "Lord Zero, as requested your scheduled time to go fishing with Mac is now. " Zero would sigh and Echo chuckled.
"Guess it's time we stopped playing around on this planet."
"Looks like it. We can finish this another time Echo. Let's get moving"
