Personality
A warrior to her very core, Mizuna does not place a great deal of stock in words, choosing instead to value actions. Mizuna has a strong sense of camaraderie which often leads her to prioritize her bonds with her fellow warriors over getting into the good graces of influential social figures. In combat situations, Mizuna prefers to study her adversaries as the battle takes it's natural course, piecing things together on the fly and incorporating them into her own mishmash of a fighting style.
Outside of combat, Mizuna is a largely carefree person, coming across to some as aloof at times. In social dealings with other females, she is an unapologetic flirt, constantly blurring the line between professional and intimate relationships. As might be expected with someone with a keen interest in the female physique, Mizuna keeps a friendly but distant demeanor towards the opposite sex, rarely if ever taking them seriously as potential mates.
Mizuna also takes the pride of a warrior seriously, detesting things like slavery and deceit. While she tries to keep the intensity of her personality limited to the warm aspects, she's no stranger to anger or concepts like revenge. Dishonorable conduct angers her the most.

Backstory
Mizuna's parents were not anything remarkable; her father was another low class Saiyan warrior and her mother was a demon who didn't seem to have the same inclination towards fighting that her father did. Not that Mizuna really had much of a chance to get to know her mother as either a mother or a woman; shortly after giving birth to Mizuna, she passed on to the next world, leaving Mizuna to be raised by her father.
It was under her father's care that she was, for her early years, kept away from the other children to prepare her for the kind of ridicule she might face for having different coloured hair. There were, of course, other things she had been entrusted with from her father; a strong set of values surrounding camaraderie and a curious appreciation for varying combat styles mixed into one.
Unlike her brother before her, Mizuna took to combat a lot more quickly, developing her skills to a point where her father felt confident about returning to his duties on the frontier, leaving Mizuna to take care of her basic needs by herself and by the time MIzuna reached her teenage years, she had already begun to blossom into a capable young Saiyan woman with comrades of her own.
Comrades with whom she was fortunate enough to be thrown into a squad with. At first, Mizuna took to the easy missions, satisfied to mostly follow orders with the occasional deviance from them. The usual peacekeeping missions eventually grew repetitive and tiresome to the teenage Mizuna who took a smaller squad out into the further reaches, mostly for exploration. In those far reaches of space, however, pirates had taken a claim to. She'd been warned about their operations in deep space, but caution over space bullies just sounded like a challenge to the fiery red head, so she took it upon herself to disrupt their operations with violence.
The first attempt went off without a hitch; they weren't prepared for her or her crew. But about the third time she attempted it, they had changed their security detail, prepared for the red haired busybody. Mizuna came away from the encounter with a few bruises and a bit of blood to show for it. The pirates were getting more used to her sporadic fighting style and her comrades while formidable in their own respect, weren't as quick to mix things together like she was. That was a detail that would end up being the Achilles heel for her and her squad in the fifth and final time she attempted to ambush an operation.
The top muscle of the pirate gang had been waiting for the red haired Saiyan to butt into matters that didn't concern her. Without much chance to get a feel for their fighting styles, she and her squad mates were taken out of combat by a few swift blows in the right places and hauled onto the ship, regaining consciousness only to find herself bound against a wall in shackles and her comrades' bodies laid bare in front of her.
Mizuna didn't need it spelled out to her. The lifeless look in the eyes of the girls and everything else that was undignified about their state of being and the fact that she was still in shackles said it all: the reprehensible acts that had left them empty, defeated husks were in store for her next. It was with frantic purpose that she managed to pull her shackles out from the wall, scooping the limp bodies of her comrades up and making for the pods down on the planet side, taking to them and returning home where she could give the girls a proper burial.
The years that followed into adulthood, Mizuna kept up the facade of her usual warm and carefree disposition, but she wasn't really able to forget about the humiliation afforded to not only herself but her comrades who had been much more unfortunate than her.
Revenge.
If she wasn't familiar with the concept already, she was now. The only thing that would lay her tormented mind to rest on the matter was their blood. Their dignity had been stolen from them and could only be returned with blood. It was a promise to the girls at this point; she would grow stronger, gather allies; those pirates had done unspeakable things to her comrades and she needed to pay them back for it, ten fold, so she threw herself into training, but also into practicing other things to fill the hole that had been made.
She'd been especially close to at least one of the girls. They'd been like sisters; practically inseparable and almost glued to each other at the hip. Things had teetered on the edge of the romantic with her, but neither of them really explored it and now they would never get to. Years passed and while she had somewhat expected the blood lust would fade with time, the flames of anger and hate only burned more intensely on the inside whenever her thoughts backtracked to that fateful day.
