The morning started fairly uneventful for Mizuna - or as uneventful as it could have when she had taken in a stray monkey by the name of Karah. She had given her a roof over her head, clean clothes and propped herself up as an older sister figure of sorts for the girl. There was also the matter of remnants of the dream from the previous night still swimming around in her head. It was all so vague and hazy that the red maned half Saiyan wasn't really sure what to make of it, but bacon and eggs seemed like a good start to the day regardless. After her breakfast, she left for a less civilized environment, flying off in the direction of the rocky out lands where naught but sand, jagged rocks towering towards the sky and inhospitable creatures existed. It also seemed to be the area in which, most conveniently, reports of crashed spaceships seemed to be reported from.
She was so busy musing to herself about the huge coincidence that honestly struck her as a bit too neatly laid out to be just a coincidence that she almost collided with one of Sadala's native avian lifeforms. She wasn't exactly keen on things like there being a higher being who decided things, but there was something in the dream that she did remember. It was a phrase she'd heard a lot while growing up; 'tainted blood'. Granted, every time she didn't like something someone said to her, she'd been kind enough to treat them to a knuckle sandwich. Those were the kind of thoughts swimming around in the fiery red head's head as she drew closer to the rocky out lands in an outfit that was completely opposite to her occupation as a member of the Sadal Defense Force; an orange sweater and a pair of navy blue jeans and the same red sneakers that probably clashed with the other two items of her outfit. The sweater was also hanging off of one shoulder, leaving the skin of her shoulder exposed.
As she landed down on her soles atop one of the rocky mountains that had been - to nobody's surprise - leveled out at the top for a relatively flat and level surface to land upon, she commented on the dream she'd had with all that cloudy energy that felt...familiar and yet different to the energies she felt from her day to day life. "That sure was a weird dream. Almost like I was dreaming about my mum, but why after all these years?" the futility of talking to oneself wasn't lost on Mizuna, even with the violent winds blowing through her unkempt red hair, but she'd stopped caring about appearing like a weirdo years ago and kept her amber eyes fixed on the sky like she was expecting something to fall from it. Given the quantity of ships that tended to fall from the sky so conveniently and images from her dream, maybe she was expecting to see something. The truth was closer to her just being out here because the ruins weren't really suitable for self reflection or solo training, but she couldn't shake the feeling that her dream had lead her to this place.
Today had been hot, way to hot for the young demon to be happy by this point. The demon wasn't heat prone, not in such large amounts such as this at least. Gelus was a city slicker, he'd spend most of his time in cold alleyways and damp, chilly rooms. He wasn't used to it at all, and he honestly didn't like it one bit. But he wasn't here by his own choice, he was here because he had a job to do. After failing miserably to kill the grunt he'd been after a few weeks back, he had to make it up to his payer. If Gelus was honest, he was terrified of what consequences he'd face for not completing his task and was quick to try and fix it. Whoever had been his target, had somehow figured him out, and the fucker had fled like that the disgusting flea he was. He knew the drug smuggler had run, but he'd didn't think the man had manage to get out this far..
He could feel the large amount of sweat spread around his body, Gelus hadn't worn his usual clothing today, it was just to hot. Instead of his usual coat and suit, it was a sleeveless shirt, loose pants and a cloak covering most of his body, but had been made of a much lighter and easier to breathe in fabric. All of it was in a dull orangery colour to mix in with the rocky outlands he'd been travel in. His mane of hair was tied up as well, it needed to be in it's messy white length.
It was hard to well, hide in this place, there was nothing but barren land for miles so, Gelus did only what he could think of, just, fly. He'd shapeshifted to change his skin colour and any other visible features to to match the desert he was floating beneath as he continued, hoping to blend in. His had suppressed his power level to something as little as 5, not wanting to gain any attention from this and simply get the job done. He could see a figure in out in the distance, to fuzzy to make out who but this couldn't be be the man he was looking for, to out in the open. He frowned, who could this even be? Did Gelus want to know? Honestly, he'd rather not. Not only did he have no idea what this person what capable of compared to himself, but he really wasn't looking for a talk let alone a fight. Gelus hadn't interacted with another person since , forever, or, maybe well, since he'd talk to the young Sayian, Rukkora. He was a nice guy, he really was, but he was just that, a kid, and while Gelus would be happy to be talk with him again, he didn't want to drag him into any of his mess. Social interaction with others was something he always dreaded, especially due to how bad he was at it.
But, he knew this person could possibly pick up on him whether or not he liked, and as much as he didn't want to get close they may have something to do with the he'd been looking for. Sighing to himself quietly, he'd fly upward towards the person in a slow, quiet pace. He'd kept his distance of course as his changed back to his normal feature, half a horn included. It was a woman seemly with long red hair and a jumper on. He titled his head, not what was he expected, but looks can be deceiving after all. In all honestly he just wondered what just she was going out here. “...Couldn't of just came out here for the view..” He muttered, keeping his distance as he spied her afar. “B-Besides she's not what I'm here for…” He reminded himself, trying not to get to distracted by her.
As far as Eis was concerned - at least, at first - him leaving Deluvia wasn't going too badly! The initial anxieties of leaving home had passed him in lieu of the awe of watching passing stars, planets, and whatnot; a beautiful view outside of his pod that he could only dream of. And as far as he was concerned, everything up to now was going off without a hitch! No one seemed to have suspected him as he had made for the pod - something that no one would really miss. He had his belongings some water, and a change of clothes - those belongings including a few keepsakes of home. And now he was flying free thru as he made for Sadal!
Though, even with everything, there were a few things that he perhaps didn't quite account for in all of his planning...
Firstly, was the travel time. Though Eis figured that traveling between planets would take awhile, he never thought it would take quite THIS long! And being as he was cooped up in a pod, there wasn't too much he could do to entertain himself, at least as far as getting up and moving around went. Thankfully though, he packed his books - which meant that he had all the time in the world to read and watch the passing stars and planets around him. Still though, he was ready to go dragon form and stretch his wings for a bit the second he landed.
And secondly, well... What was out there, on Sadal? All Eis ever knew was Deluvians and Demons - he didn't know Androids, he didn't know Tuffles, he didn't know Saiyans or Puhnians or Canidites... Just about anything could jump out at him when he landed, he had realized partway thru the trip; which wasn't exactly a comforting thought...
Thirdly, came the question of what he'd do when he landed - though this one wasn't quite as much of a conundrum to him. He knew what he wanted to do in the long-term, being find his own path and place elsewhere from Deluvia; it was just more the how that escaped him, for a time. Though, he figured that there'd have to be others like him out here, yeah?
And finally... Perhaps the most immediate and important one, was...
"SHIT SHIT SHIIIT-"
... that he didn't know how to land the pod.
"WHERE'S THE BRAKES ON THIS THING???"
Whistling across the Sadalan sky, Eis' pod would be flying over the Outlands at high speeds as a certain half-demon panicked and smashed buttons in an attempt to stop the pod, or slow it down, or something! Yet, it was all to little avail; as the pod would proceed to crash thru one of the rocky spires in the vicinity with a deafening BOOM!
Rocks, dust, and rubble from the spire would collapse, as the pod came to a stop - impacting in the earth just beyond the spire and the piling-up rubble. Warning lights and whistles were blaring in the pod, no-doubt from the extensive damages that it had - and Eis was left heavily dazed and with a throbbing headache; not that the bells and whistles exactly helped in the matter. The door would slowly open to reveal that the pod - and Eis by extension - was upside down; and Eis would end up spilling and tumbling out of the pod with a sharp "Oof...!" before he came to a stop, sprawled on his back, staring up at the blue sky above. It took a good few minutes for Eis to find his bearings, blinking and shaking his head - before sitting up and gazing blearily at his surroundings.
As far as the eye could see, was arid land - the air was warm and dry, the sun that shone down upon him practically was baking the place, and there wasn't much life to speak of. Of what little there was, he could see sparse trees, and scrubby bushes that scattered across the landscape; the flat monotony broken by the occasional tall spires that provided a little bit of shade and shelter from the bright and unerring sun. Not too far, Eis could see a pair of jackrabbit-like creatures scampering by and hiding in one of the bushes; though he didn't pay it too much mind as he stood up, and dusted himself off.
It all felt empty and desolate, and yet all the same... Eis felt a sense of satisfaction in having made it out here. He was truly free, truly where he could go do whatever the hell he wanted without his mother breathing down his neck... He would take in a deep breath, taking in all the scents that he could note on the light passing breeze, before exhaling sharply- rubbing the back of his head and grinning to himself. Though, as his hand brushed thru his hair, he'd remember... Ah, right, his horns...
Though he didn't know what exactly he'd find out here, all he knew was that demons weren't usually the most well-accepted race... And so, using his shapeshifting, he'd take the time to hide his more demonic-looking qualities; horns, claws, fangs, the whole shebang. When he was finished, he would resemble a more mundane Deluvian - or perhaps a Saiyan, if it weren't for his blue eyes; the only quality that'd make him stand out amongst other Saiyans.
Glancing back, brushing a hand thru his hair to double-check that everything was well hidden, he noticed that the pod was, well... It didn't look pretty. It was smoking heavily, and the warning lights were still flashing - though a cursory glance inside would find him his bag, the contents within thankfully intact and unharmed in the crash. He'd sling the bag over his shoulder, before glancing out towards the horizon - wondering where exactly he should start, with his first steps into the great unknown...
Ever experience the sneaking suspicion that someone was etching your visage into their eyes? Well, right now, Mizuna had that feeling. It wasn't exactly the gaze of an admirer; she didn't think she had any of those to begin with, but it wasn't exactly one of hostility. Thank her stars she had not worn that pink frilly dress in her late mother's closet out to these harsh, unforgiving lands, or the heels that went with the dress, for that matter. Everything about that dress from the overly designed ribbons to the white feather veil screamed that it was more for show than anything practical. Still unable to shake that someone was watching over her, maybe from behind or some hiding spot she hadn't managed to find in the barren out lands.
"You know, being a peeping tom is bad manners." She joked, having long since shifted her gaze from the sky. Part something else, she may have been, but that didn't protect her from going blind from spending too long looking into the sun. Whether she received a response or not didn't matter to her; she was sure of someone being there for some time now and more than anything else in the world, she trusted her gut feeling. It was like that one handsome and rugged smuggler who always said 'I've got a bad feeling about this' whenever shit was about to hit the proverbial fan. He was one of her father's friends and what stood out about him to her was the jagged scar over his left eye and his long flowing black locks and the equally black stubble of hair along the edge of his chin. She thought he was cool and witty and it was his quirk of being quicker to make some cheeky quip than to pull his gun out of it's holster that she often imitated.
He was as much a role model for her as any of the other friends her father introduced her to in order to get her exposed to as many different types of people that weren't native to Sadal as possible. For however brief of a moment it would end up being, Mizuna didn't really say anything else and allowed there to be relative silence across the sandy out lands, save for her light humming of a song she couldn't quit remember how she knew the general tune to. She'd heard the light crumbling that part of the risen land she was standing on made from the wind and perhaps even a foot misplaced, but she didn't turn around. There was that gut feeling again, telling her not to turn around - not to face whoever was behind her. She'd been called 'flighty' before, but she hadn't once ever taken it to heart - she went wherever her impulses and dreams carried her. The good times, thrilling adventures and most importantly; pretty girls just seemed to conveniently be wherever she went.
The last time something explosively exciting happened, she was clashing fists with another Saiyan girl around her age, maybe a little younger and inviting her back to her place because she looked cute and they clicked immediately. The time before that wasn't so fun and ended with her having to bury a couple of friends, but she didn't like reflecting on that too often, it brought a heavy feeling to her chest. It stung a lot sharper than just simply having to say goodbye to a good friend; that girl had been so much more than just a friend. It was nice not being the only red head on a team back then - even if the red hair of the other was more of a brown colour than her own fiery red. Either way, when what looked like a ball of fire breaking through the fluffy white clouds of the particularly sunny morning appeared through her amber eyes, the uneventful morning she'd assumed it would be, minus the prophetic dream she'd had where she recalled the warmth of her mother's spirit and not much else had been thrown out the window
Though, there was that 'be careful what you wish for' proverb in the back of her head, cautioning her not to be too excited at the prospect of being able to see a ship crash in person. "Oh, hell yeah! That's more like -- actually, I have a bad feeling about..." before Mizuna could finish her sentence, the bottom of the spire she was standing on got taken out from underneath her and potentially whoever else was standing there on it's flat surface. Just like that - whatever was holding that flat surface up came crumbling apart as the pod crashed right through it. "THIS! Oh hell! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE DRIVING THAT THING, YOU PRI--" she was about to spew some sort of aggressive profanity at whoever had been in the pod when she realised they might not actually be in control of the pod.
She quickly re-positioned her hips - the center of her gravity and launched herself into the air from the slanted piece of a once flat landing surface. From there, she flared up a mostly white aura of ki around herself and propelled herself down towards the pod, mostly to confirm if the person inside was safe or not. Smoke being in her way wasn't much of a deal since she was already prepared to swipe her arm through it, hollering out to the individual below. "Ooooi! Are you okay?!" she cupped her hands over the sides of her mouth to help the sound travel further while she reached out with her ability to detect energy signatures and wasn't exactly sure what to make of what she felt, resulting in the red head landing down to the side of the pod, sneaker soles sliding along the sandy dunes of Sadal before she brought her torso upright, eventually finding her balance and perhaps giving the...black-haired boy? a once over.
Being the absolute degenerate loud mouth she was without any understanding of what 'personal space' was, she sauntered up to what looked like a young, dark haired man, patting off the sand from the back of her denim covered thighs, swinging an arm up to give him a two-fingered salute as a wave before moving her face up inches from his. "That was a pretty nasty crash, y'know? Knocked me and probably someone else off our feet. You sure know how to make an appearance. I'm almost jealous." she joked, grinning wide from ear to ear. The close proximity of her face and body were all purposeful, of course; she was digging for an entertaining reaction.
Gelus was beginning to feel like his hidden spot wasn't very good, and his blamed the hot sun for this. His sweating only intensified, the bright light swelling down on him as his clothes only did so much. He was a pale, skinny, underweight man attempting to pull off what had felt like a two day travel into the middle of nowhere, this was a terrible fucking idea. But a terrible idea Gelus had to do, or else he'd have his teeth kicked in when he returned home, or that's what he thought. That's always what used to happen when the young man had screwed up, pain.
This woman had clearly spotted him, some part of him, he didn't which, but some form of him screamed at him to get out of there as he had been caught. And that he needs to book it as soon as he could. His point was proven when she spoke, maybe not directly to him, but she'd noted his existence and that was enough to send him into a mental panic of some kind. He'd slip further away from her, facing away. He wondered if he should even try to get away from her or just, show himself here and know. Hm, she seemed to pick up he was here, but not where exactly he was or what he was doing, just that he was there.
His thoughts where left to the sidelines as Gelus turned his head up to sky, spying something that only rushed further towards the ground near he stood as he continued to look on. As the ship came crashing for him and the girl in front of him, hr almost automatically flipped himself out of the way, jumping through the mess of smoke and dust as it only enclosed on where he'd once been. He didn't get enough time to see if the woman had made it out, but there hadn't been anything red, or well, bloody when the ship finally stopped, so, he guessed not. In fact he was right, watching as she zoomed up from afar, probably to give whoever nearly made her roadkill a piece of her mind. All Gelus could do was cough, trying to recollected himself as he'd just throw himself to the sidelines of a nearly killer-gone crash. He rubbed his forehead as he pulled himself up, dusting of grime and sand as he peered over to the mess, feeling a headache starting to come on due to hitting himself on the ground rather hard.
The ship looked like absolute shit, and whoever had been driving it either had no idea what there doing, or somehow lost control of it, either way Gelus didn't like the look of it. Gelus frowned, he knew he didn't have to address this, he knew the woman who flew back over to the ship probably had the situation under control. But something but a hint of well, what the hell is going on here fuelled him to do otherwise also well, was the person in the ship even okay? What if they had died... Yikes...?
Gelus would start to walk through the smoke, eventually through a ki-powered jumped just near the edge of the pod. He didn't answer nor speak any piece of mind to those he neared as he crouched. His hand slid among the broken ship. "..N...Not a great landing..." He muttered, looking up to the woman and what seemed to be a young man, finally addressing them, or rather well, Eis. "...How did you manage to crash so poorly?" He put it bluntly, removing his hood revealing long white hair tied back, a single long blue horn to his left and tired blue eyes pondering at the other two. He seemed to that of a perfect passing demon beyond the other two hybrids.
Eis would be a little surprised, when he was approached by a woman and man from out of nowhere - particularly when the woman began to lean in close. He'd blink a bit, leaning back a hair to try and get a proper look at the woman; trying to wrap his head around how he was going to respond or even react to her. He'd eventually decide to just... Take a few steps back, his expression a little unsure for a second before he'd regain his composure and scratch the back of his head - glancing back at the pod. "Yeahh, it, uh..." .... He probably shouldn't mention that he had no fucking clue how to pilot a pod... "... Kinda lost control. Noone got hurt, yeah?" He'd finish in question, glancing back to Mizuna.
She seemed, well, if he was going to be honest about it, pretty. Though maybe not his type? He wasn't even sure if he had a type, but he wasn't sure how else to put the feeling - or lack thereof - in his gut. She certainly was energetic, though, if her approach and grinning expression implied much, though. Friendly, and unafraid to get up close, too. He wasn't too sure how he felt about her, overall - but at least she wasn't aggressive or anything.
When Gelus approached next though, Eis would glance back thru the smoke at the tall - he almost had to double take, the white hair and horn making him think of Kalma; though Kalma was much taller - individual before them. Gelus' tired expression and small stutter were pretty obvious - but what Eis noticed more, was just... How much he looked like a demon. Now that he thought about it, even the scents in the air - at least past all of the smoke - read as 'demon' to him; and Eis couldn't help but wonder who this person was...
Either way though, they seemed to both be in agreement this wasn't a good crash - though Eis repressed the urge to get huffy over it. Instead, he just nodded; telling him what he told Mizuna - "Yeah, kinda - well - lost control, leading up to the landing..." He was pulling the 'lost control' bit out of his ass, but neither of them had to know it. It was half-true, since he had no clue how to control the pod at all, but yeahhh...
Once that was all out of the way though, he'd glance between the two of them - scratching the back of his head as he asked "Who are you two, anyhow? Mind filling me in on where I am?" Might as well get introduced to these two - particularly the demon, he was admittedly a little eager to get to know others like himself... "First time coming out here to.. Sadal," He'd add, taking a second to recall the name on the screen that had popped up when he began his wild ride out here - and figuring it wouldn't be that unusual of a thing to admit. Everyone's got a first time for exploring, yeah?
"Well, you might have defaced the terrain a bit, but yeah. Nobody was really hurt, so I guess you're off the hook." she was, admittedly, a bit disappointed that she hadn't been able to get any kind of entertaining reaction out of him, but it was clear that she was creating some sort of discomfort at least. To that extent, she pulled her torso back, straightening her back up and digging her hands into the pockets of her jeans. From this range, she could have easily thrown a punch into his space, but that wasn't why she was out here and she wasn't exactly in the business of indiscriminately attacking every stranger that crash landed on Sadal unannounced.
Mizuna didn't question his claim about 'losing control' of the pod. Her experience with those things had been similar, but she'd never really been too bothered to figure out the more intricate workings of the one man pods; she was a warrior. They only needed to carry her from point a to point b. The next thing to enter her ears was a request - or maybe even a demand to know names both of the people currently present and of the place this relatively good looking boy had landed in. "Well, I dunno about gloomy over there since he's probably been hiding this whole time - don't ask me how - but my name's Mizuna. As for where this is, it's Sadal. ...Shouldn't that have been on the trajectory map of your pod? I don't know if this particular place on Sadal actually has a name, but as you can see - it's basically the middle of nowhere. I guess it's a place people would come if they wanted to duke it out without any interruptions." she was starting to have serious doubts about this dark haired stranger, which might have been evident with her sudden change in tone towards the end in tandem with her single lifted brow.
"By the way, are you guys strong?" She interrupted his little twenty questions session with another question of her own. Directed at both of the boys. The quiet one definitely registered on the 'pretty' end of the scale, though. Seriously, maybe he could tell her what hair products he was using or what eyelash curlers he used, because her hair always just looked like a mess no matter what she used. It should be illegal for guys to be that pretty! "Oh, and while I'm at it, why were you hiding before? It's not like I bite or anything like that. Seeing as how we all stand out like sore thumbs in a place like this, it couldn't hurt to share names and stuff." truth be told, she didn't place much stock in words themselves, but she did also recognise that for some people, stuff like introductions and small talk were the bread and butter of continued co-existence.
There was also the faint feeling she couldn't shake about both of the guys. There was something she couldn't quite put her finger on about the other two that was both different and similar to herself at the same time, maybe one or both of them would know? It could be a clue to learning more about her mother. Her father wasn't exactly the most talkative about her.
Gelus would push strands of loose hair back as he watched the other two talk, perfectly fine just sitting in the background, but he did ask a question per say, and he did watch out for some form of answer. He blinked a bit when the young boy with dark hair mentioned that he had lost control of the ship, something he questioned a bit. Gelus knew the basics of how flying a ship worked, his father had travelled many times, in and out of Sadal, sometimes taking his son along with him, and Gelus eventually picked up on it. Thought while it wasn't personally hard for him, he'd give the kid the benefit of the doubt, he didn't look that old anyways. Anyways, maybe there had been something wrong with the ship? They could be a very possible explanation. "..Lost? Control? Possibility an option." He noted. "The ship also may of malfunctioned but, no, one has died..d.. Or well, not that I had seen, yet."
He tilted his head as the other continued to converse, know at better length to the woman especially. Her bright hair and burning eyes of gold made him ponder. Was she even Saiyan? She could be, thought most people here knew always had dark features above all else, though the possibility of a hybrid was also in the question. Any normal person could easily describe Mizuna as pretty, but Gelus was about as socially aware as the soft yellow dirt beneath his feet. Eis on the other hand was just a big a mystery, his dark features could read as Saiyan, but the blue eyes told another story, and the slightest part of Gelus's inner interests was peaked. Gelus was a demon, he knew that at best, but what it meant to be a demon was truly lost on him, only small childhood stories of what had once been for his species. And yet, the two that stood in front of him here, had this, odd feeling to them. Not something bad, but something he'd never felt before, yet at the same time, all so familiar.
The man snapped from his own thoughts as he listened in on the others again, the point of where in gods name where any of them where brought up. He didn't know what Mizuna meant by gloomy, but he felt it wasn't a compliment, but all he gave was his usual look, a soft frown. "As she had said before hand, yes, you are in Sadal." He explained robotic. "You are in the outlands, the more.. H..Hotter.. Place of Sadal..." He trailed off, seemly very unhappy about this heat. "And even if you did have a map, if the pod was acting up, who knows what may of been wrong with it or even if a GPS would even work." He guessed.
Gelus felt a bit overwhelmed as Eis started with the questions, he didn't seem to be doing it out of any form of malicious intent, it's just Gelus didn't know how to do with it. Thankfully, theses question was meant with another question, just one single question from Mizuna. "Um... Strong..?" He asked back, genuinely confused on what she meant by that. There was forms of what strong meant by definition, and Gelus didn't know where to go with this. Yet again, his answer was short meant as she kept going on. This time, only directed on him.
"H...Hiding? ..O-Oh, well, I apologise - that wasn't my intent you see, I wasn't quite sure who you where, and couldn't conduct whether or not you seemed hostile but, your clearly a reasonable person and not the man I'm looking for" He noted with a nod. "And my name? It's, it's just Gelus."
So the Outlands of Sadal - aka middle of nowhere... Well, Eis supposed that there were worse places to crash the pod - he'd glance to the still-smoking remains of it for a second before turning his glance to the other two. "Like I mentioned, I know this is Sadal, from the pod- just my first time out here so I didn't know specific locations. I don't imagine a GPS or map would help me much without at least a rudimentary idea of this place, anyhow." Eis would remark, shrugging a bit. He didn't seem to catch onto Mizuna's doubtfulness - or at least if he did, he didn't pay it too much mind; social skills weren't entirely his forte. Though, after a moment, he concluded "Eh. In any case, I'm here now," He'd grin a hair, shrugging in a 'what can you do?' type fashion. "I suppose I can figure out what to do next, once I find someplace a little less... middle-of-nowhere-y."
As far as strength went, though... That actually raised a good question. He'd fold his arms behind his head in a casual fashion, thinking to himself - if his pursed lips and furrowed brows implied anything - before responding "I mean, you seem pretty strong, but I dunno where I'd fit on the scale." He certainly felt like he could hold his own in a fight - or at least, he fuckin hoped so! He remembered the times he'd spend practicing against Kalma, or even just practicing his more draconic skills on his own. Speaking of... He wondered what other people thought of Deluvians around here, let alone Deluvia in general. "I guess I'm average?" Eis concluded with a shrug, it seemed he didn't have much of a clue; though as he mentioned before, Mizuna seemed pretty strong. Gelus, too.
In any case though, with their names, he'd nod and smile a little. "Hell yeah! It's nice to meet a couple of friendly faces just after landing already," Not only friendly, but also not hiveminded, for that matter... He'd grin more widely, before continuing "The name's Eis, I'm a Deluvian from, well, Deluvia." No harm in sharing that, yeah? To better get across his draconic side, he'd conjure his wings - large and draconic, black scales with bright blue webbing between the 'fingers' of the wings - and extended them wide open. "I'm a Dragon Deluvian, to be exact. Came out here to see new places, maybe do something exciting with my life."
Briefly, her eyes were drawn to the smoking remains of the pod that had caused her to lose her previous vantage point. "Well, Eis. You certainly have a way of making an entrance, but..." she trailed off, amber irises catching the unfurling of those black scaled wings and the bright blue webbing that connected what she figured was a finger of sorts to the rest of the wing. That was where she lost her train of thought - probably because it was a completely new and mesmerizing phenomenon. After shaking her head about, she pulled herself back to the present and to the current troubles of the group. She wasn't sure how she felt about Gelus interpreting her as a hostile; on one hand, she probably should have been filled with pride that she gave off that kind of impression, but on the other hand, it wasn't her intention at all to put on an intimidating aura.
Mizuna, of course, had internal issues that went beyond just how a pair of handsome strangers saw her. There was still the matter of that strange dream that had called her out to this uncompromising desert land and the fact that she was wearing an orange sweater in the middle of the desert. The latter was definitely not a good decision and now that sweat was rolling down her face and neck, she was starting to really regret it. On the subject of the two guys' general physical prowess, she wasn't that expectant on an answer, but the one she got from Eis was satisfactory, even if it sounded like he was leaning towards the needlessly modest side of things. "I'm a Saiyan," she told the pair of them confidently, crossing her arms over her chest and nodding her head.
She knew they wouldn't buy it. She wasn't buying it, either; she knew she wasn't completely Saiyan. Not with that dream of her mother and not with her bright physical features - but she didn't really know her mother and her father had never told her in explicit terms of what else she was, just that she was his daughter and a Saiyan. "Well, before we die of a heat stroke out here, why don't we skip on back to town? There's this bar in town that I visit every now and then. It can get pretty rowdy sometimes, but it's a good place and there will be cold drinks there, too." Mizuna decided not to prod Gelus for the reason to why she came across as hostile to him, brushing it off as unimportant in the grander scheme of things, like her own health and the health of her company.
Gelus would look between the kid and the pod he'd crash, yeah, entrance was really the right word to use on this one. Thought he still couldn't just help but wonder but he'd done to manage this of all things. Then he mentioned the fact he really didn't have a plan when it came to coming here, no wonder he may of crashed, he didn't even plan where to even land. "Well it may be a slight reason for the crash... If you don't even have the slightest idea of what's where..." He trailed off, not wanting to seem rude but just logically pointing things out. As Eis was even quicker to change subject, Gelus was happy to keep it that way. "I mean... I can probably point you towards the nearest city, or maybe uh... Mizuna here can take you..??" He suggest in a soft tone, noting how he himself probably couldn't come, he had work. Even if god, he hated this fucking heat.
"Strength is subjective..." Gelus would mutter to himself on the topic as it was brought up. "There's many forms of it rather then just psychically strength.." Gelus wasn't, psychically as buff as the normal Saiyan, he was much more slimmer and thin, he wasn't built for that anyways. He was an assassin and that's all he had knew, he was prone to hiding in the shadows and climbing and tailing buildings, which did ask for an athletic but not grossly muscular build.
Gelus became clearly uncomfortable as species was brought up, he only had a basic idea he was some form of demon and having no biological parents to call his own, his was pretty clueless beyond that. His father, Tomarla cared nothing for his hermitage, only for his work. He was a nasty old man with a nasty outlook on life, and Gelus could remember over and over as he'd spit slurs at his own kin for his blood. Tomarla was the reason his lacked his right horn, something that made unwillingness to go anywhere near his subject even stronger. He just blink at the other to, but give a nod in that he'd been paying attention. While he was a bit confused at Mizuna being just a Saiyan, he wasn't one to ask, or judge, and simply let her be.
The demon just itched at the fact to get out of the heat and when Mizuna mentioned leaving this place, he knew he couldn't. Every bone in his body screamed for him to stay here, if his buyer knew he fluked on he'd be dead meat. Thought he could aslo be dead meat for whatever out here enjoyed demon flesh due to the burning gaze of the sun. There was also the kid, Eis, Gelus personally knew nothing about this young man but he'd to really not care after just crashing a ship, and barely blinked when it came to acknowledging it. Gelus wouldn't say he was uncaring just maybe a bit, to, relaxed? He could only guess the little demon was impulsive and reckless.
"Normally, I said no, as I have a job to do, and a man to hunt down, but, I can feel dry skin peeling from my face. Not to mention, I've probably sweated all of my body fluids out through my pours, so yes, shade would be nice before I maybe faint and so would some form of liquid for my body.." Gelus huffed, clearly not in a happy mood to be out here, even if his cold tone didn't help imply it. He wasn't made for this, not one bit, the man was underweight as it was.
So, a Saiyan... Eis wasn't really sure what it meant to be a Saiyan, per se - Mizuna honestly looked like she could pass as a Deluvian, especially if she had some animal-like quality, but... He seriously doubted a Saiyan would be 1:1 like a Deluvian. Still though - if he put her in a room with other deluvians, the only thing that'd set her apart would be her scent, which... Eis couldn't help but note something interesting about the scents of her and Gelus, giving a cursory sniff of the scents in the air. For sure, they smelled different from Deluvians back home, but... There was also a faint sense of familiarity - and similarity, even - between their scents... Eis would gaze to Mizuna for a few moments - visibly pondering something - before moving on.
At the offer to go with her back to the city, Eis would grin a bit and nod, dismissing his wings as he did. "Sure, sounds good to me!" He remarked. He'd never been to a bar before - there weren't really any bars on Deluvia, or at least, there weren't really any around the castle he grew up in - though he guessed they had drinks, from what Mizuna mentioned. Either way, he was more than open to getting out of the sun and getting some liquids in him - he had his waterflask, sure, but if he could get away with saving it then he'd be down.
Fortunately, Mizuna didn't fancy herself a philosopher. If she did, then perhaps there might have been more to the conversation about strength. Hell, it could have ended up being a full blown debate on what truly constituted being considered 'strong' and all of them could have been out in the sun for that much longer with a wonderful little case of sunburn or something worse.
"We can exchange life stories, philosophical bullshit and the rest of the mundane crap over drinks, boys!" she hollered at them both before bending her knees forward and kicking off from the ground with a faint vermilion aura flaring up around her body as she took to the skies.
Naturally, she'd kicked up a fair bit of sand from placing most of the weight onto the sole of her sneaker and pushing down with her dominant leg to give herself a whole lot of momentum. There was that Saiyan competitive streak; she knew she'd be basically racing the boys back to the city boundaries. In the back of her mind, Mizuna was worried that if she put the gas on too hard from the start then she'd leave the visitor to Sadal behind and leave him stranded out in the middle of nowhere.
While that might merit a couple of amusing expressions, this really wasn't the time for pulling pranks on the newcomers, so she did slow down just a bit to let Eis and Gelus keep up. They both looked kinda wiry, so she had her doubts about their performance, but that was something she figured she could put to the test later on.
The further she blazed a trail across the sky, the further away those desolate sandy plains got. That was something she was actually thankful for; the heat of the desert like out lands was getting a bit much for her. Sure, she'd chosen her attire poorly but it was better than waltzing out into the harsh out lands in her usual outfit. The closer the party approached the city, the more clearer the towering buildings and if it were night time, then there would be all sorts of neon flashing lights and the like. Due to the nature of the structures that reached up towards the sky, and the usual alleyways that she was used to, there were plenty of places to find shelter from the rays of the sun.
The bustling life of the city was one she was accustomed to, so it didn't really bother her all that much, but there was a slight pang of concern for her entourage - especially the white haired one. He seemed like busy places weren't his cup of tea. "How are you doing back there, Mr. Secretive? I hope you haven't bit the dust yet!" she hollered back at the white haired guy before dipping down through a damp alleyway, soaring dangerously close to the ground, the velocity of her general flight path causing the water on the ground to shoot out to the sides on an arc.
There wasn't any deeper meaning to it; she just wanted to show off.
She'd take anything to not focus on the past right now. Playing tourist guide seemed about right and she figured that if the darker haired one got into a scrap, she could throw some hands too. That may have just been wishful thinking on Mizuna's part, however. She was actually doubtful that such an opportunity would present itself and resumed her ventures out into the main street, planting her sneakers on the wet concrete, skidding to the side on the soles of her red sneakers.
After a bit of an awkward dance to regain her balance, she waved out to the boys, who she assumed had managed to keep up despite the detours she'd taken. Around her were buildings that kind of looked similar to each other with tiny differences in the sort of things they were advertising. Usually, there'd be some sort of sign out the front of the stores, save for the ones that were just selling piping hot food; you didn't need a sign for food, not on Sadal. People had pretty good noses and she was no exception.
The purpose of making into seedier side of town, however, was to drop by a bar she was a regular at. If she introduced them as friends of hers, she'd get discounts for herself and for the boys. That part wasn't exactly of great importance, but it made things a bit more appealing.
The sound of clattering glasses and the distance sound of shouting being muffled behind doors was the indicator that now was a fairly prime time for that bar. One that Mizuna didn't really wait to shoulder the door open to and waltz in like she owned the place, immediately hit with the strong smell of a mix of sweat, beer and various other meat based meals being served. The whole sensory onslaught caused her stomach to growl fairly loudly.
"U-Uh? O-Okay, that may present itself as a better plan I-" Before the demon could even finish his reply to the Saiyan she was off, leaving Eis and himself in the dirt as she zoomed away, like this was some sort of race. A race Gelus wasn't fond off, nor well, really aware off. But nonetheless it was time to get moving before, his insiders before his outsiders thanks to his rather shady yet pissed off customer who was expecting a head on a silver planet from him. He gave Eis, the young dragon boy one last tilt of a head, before his very own shadow began to warp and twist.
Somehow, the demon's own shadow began to almost, implode in on itself before shooting outwards, bubbling near Gelus's back as it turned into a pair of feathery, black wings. A bit flashy, Gelus knew, but it was never usually like this in clear daylight. He tended to save his normal form of flying for the night, when he used the darkness as cover for his raven wings. Much to what would probably be Mizuna's surprise, Gelus was fast, very fast. He may of not being strong but speed was very much his category. That was one thing is unknown Saiyan heritage lended him.
He'd manage to catch up with the bright haired woman, if not a bit slow thanks to the burning heat above them, and was appreciative when she seemed to slow down. His wings folded and fluttered as they pasted away from the dusty outlands and into the city, and honestly, Gelus had never been happier. Well, if that was an emotion he was capable off. Things had already felt cooler as they went further in, and Gelus was all to thankful, even if he didn't seem like it. As the streets became more lively Gelus tensed up a bit but, he kept moving, he was stopping to note them and they him. He sighed a bit, stopping to slow and land as they went further and further in, coming a mark darker, cooler area, an area of Gelus's liking. "Fine." He called loudly to Mizuna as he zoomed pasting, himself only cringing a bit on the inside as he watched her attempt to asspull a landing. He just walked the rest of the way, noting to see if Eis had been doing okay as he continued to follow Mizuna along. His wings faulted and shifted out of existence as they morphed back in the ground beneath him, much less notable know he hid in the shadows of the street alleys.
As the two took flight and darted off, Eis would blink in surprise - "H-hey..!" He'd exclaim, not expecting Mizuna to just dart off like that, let alone without any form of wings or whatnot! The shadowy wings from Gelus were not too much of a surprise - though watching them emerge was still quite a sight nonetheless - especially when he seemed to be quite fast himself! Quirking his lips, before grinning toothily to himself, he'd begin giving himself a running start - "Alright, if you're gonna be like that..." - before taking flight as well! However, the deluvian - feeling a bit showoffy between how Mizuna had reacted to his wings, and how the other two were being now - was not about to stop at just his wings emerging.
His face would elongate into a reptillian muzzle, his skin grew scales, a tail sprouted from his backside and his hands and feet shifted into vicious claws as he changed in form - taking on his full, draconic form! He was larger than the other two now - perhaps a little larger than a Clydesdale, and definitely taller than them measuring at the shoulder. His scales - much like with his wings - were pitch black, though they shone with a dark-blue iridescence when the light hit them just right, and the plating on his underside was a bright blue like the webbing of his wings. His tail was long and whipping, ending with a black tuft, and he bore multiple horns - blue as well. There were three pairs in question, two pairs set on the back of his head - one larger and long, going back but curving upwards while the other was tiny but straight - with the third pair being two small but rhinoceros-like horns on his nose.
All in all, though he wasn't fully grown yet, this shape of his was impressive nonetheless - and he wasn't a slouch in the flight department, either! His wings - large and powerful with an impressive wingspan to match in this form - would beat as he worked to catch up to the duo, calling out with a playful roar as he did - said roar trailing off into a laughing "Whooohahaha!" as he whooped, tucking his wings close for just a second to go into a roll before he opened them once more to catch the wind. It had been awhile since he got to stretch his limbs like this, and it felt great! He loved indulging in this other side of him; loved just enjoying the wind rushing by.
As the desert was left behind and the city beyond began to show though, Eis would begrudgingly shift back to his human form - not sure of how the locals would regard a dragon in their midsts. Not to mention that he probably wouldn't even fit thru the doorway of wherever Mizuna was taking them! His wings remained though, outstretched as he glided along the updrafts and winds. As they neared the city and Mizuna dipped down towards an alleyway, Eis would follow after - the tips of his wings catching the water kicked up in her wake as they made their way towards the main streets.
When Mizuna made a somewhat awkward landing, skidding on the wet concrete, Eis would be more careful about his landing - beating his wings to slow himself down and orient himself on his feet. He'd grin and laugh gently, paying little mind to any stares his wings might've attracted from other folks as he dismissed them; "Been a good while since I got to stretch my wings like that!" He'd remark as he stretched his arms above him as he glanced around at his surroundings - unable to help but marvel maybe a little. This city, it was so big and bustling, with neon lights and buildings that seemed to reach the sky above - it was a far cry from home, even from the castle he grew up in, and he couldn't help but wonder if Kalma got to see places like these, whenever she left Deluvia on errands for his mother...
As they made their way down the streets though, the sights weren't the only thing he could note - though the scents in the air were unfamiliar and foreign to him (perhaps a bit overwhelming even, with just how much there was for him to process), he could still recognize the smell of a good meal as well; perhaps even better than the Saiyans, as his nose picked up certain subtleties like spices or the different kinds of meats. It was all kind of exciting, being someplace new and strange; it didn't take much to tell that he was new to Sadal, with the way he marveled at everything around him, and was constantly sniffing the air - and fuck, he was maybe a little hungry too; maybe they could pick up something somewhere...?
He'd note that the part of the city they were entering though wasn't perhaps as high-end as everything else, though; grimier and worn down, and darker than the more lit streets that they had landed in, even if his keen eyes helped him see. Something about it set his more bestial instincts on edge, but he trusted in his company as Mizuna led them to a nearby bar, that already seemed to be active and bustling if the sounds from within were of any indication. But what he was more focused on - and perhaps should've expected, but didn't - was the smell. With his sensitive senses, he was assaulted by a mess of smells that weren't all that pleasant to him - body odor and alcohol being the biggest offenders. He'd wrinkle his face up as he tried - to little avail - to adjust to the smells, his stomach churning the tiniest bit. So this is what a bar was like...? He couldn't help but think of the alcohol that was kept in the cellars under the castle, and how - even if he still hated the smell of the wine - it smelt better than this place! Well... he supposed he'd at least be able to get a drink here, though a small part of him would greatly prefer something nonalcoholic... He wasn't gonna end up like a drunken idiot anytime soon.
