Chapter V - Part I: Everlasting Night
How could everything go so wrong, so fast. Everything he had been working for gone in the snap of seconds.
Even as the tears burned as they ran down his eyes. He ran, pulling her by the hand as they kept running. As he turned back, he saw the anger, the hurt in her eyes. Anima, both of them had just lost their home, and now neither knew if they were even going to survive what came next. The distress signals had already been sent out, but by living so far away from the capital, what use would it be? Would help even get here in time? As he looked ahead, he spotted the bridge, if they could just keep running…but how? How did they even get to this point?
-- Flashback One Hour --
He had just come back to a burning home. They were all moving so fast and he barely had his gear at the ready to help with the defenses. It was like they came out of nowhere, these creatures holding exponentially powerful controls of the very elements. Many of them were hold syringes filled with what looked like some kind of greenish red liquid. Every time they would knock someone down, they would inject one of the villagers. It didn’t take long for them to change in a sense, it was like their skin would change to a different color even, their eyes red as they fell with the horde under control. It was like they would suddenly switch sides and styles, completely focusing on these new elemental powers. Sine had no clue how to explain it, only that he had to get as many as he could out before it was too late. He had managed to find Anima shooting her arrows into the tunnels these creatures escaped from, but there was no way for her to hold them off alone. He could see the fear burning on her face only slightly relieved when he came quickly sword in hand to try and help hold them back.
As time went on, it was plainly obvious how their numbers were falling, and as he gazed around, he couldn’t help but be hit with this gut-wrenching feeling as it seemed like their defense was falling more and more. The moon while high above them, was one of their main sources of light. He fought against old friends, people he had known, before he saw the Master fall. It was then he made his choice. Sine reach for Anima’s hand and began to pull her towards the exit. More of the remaining guards began to do so as well, each one trying to escape, a brave few staying back to hold them off for the others to go get help.
-- Present Time --
They had been running and running, but these creatures seemed to always be able to catch up. It was the darkest night it could be, and as the blast rained past them, they ran and ran. He didn’t know how many of them were left, but if they could cut them off at the bridge…
They were too slow however, by the time they reached it…they were there...They couldn’t both make it across, he pushed Anima towards the bridge. “Get help, run as fast you can to the Capital. Gentem has fallen!”, Sine would shout as he raised his blade and sliced the rope holding the bridge. Three of them were beginning to charge on to him, he held his blade and pushed them back, watching them try to tear at him, not caring for the sharpness of the blade. With no other choice, he jumped towards the other side of the cliff, grabbing at Anima’s hand. She was barely holding on to him, and the panic was stricken in both of their eyes. Almost, almost they both could get away. Then one of them jumped onto his leg, beginning to pull him down. He screamed as he felt the jabbing of a needle into his leg. He could feel this…thing...coursing through him, but something was pushing him to keep his hold down. Raw will was keeping him from losing his mentality yet. As he looked into her eyes, he swore he saw a glowing in them, an intense heat as it felt like a burning in his hand. “Sine….good bye…”, she choked from the raw emotion as he lost his grip.
The fall felt endless, like time had stopped moving in the concepts of his mind. The heat she had given off leaving a marking on his hand. An excruciating pain from whatever he had been injected with…and then blackness, a loud splash ringing from the rushing river.
-- Undetermined Time Late --
A corpse and a body swung onto the shoreline of the riverbed, one alive, one dead. The corpse having a green like skin, burn marks covering it, the body having a single burn mark on their hand, a very intricate shaping of it, almost intentional. “H…e...l…p”, a weakened croak would come from the body. The smell of smoke and soot reeking off his clothes. A complete contrast to the greenery around the river bed.

The alerts came in so suddenly. Never before had Banza been forced into such urgency to act. Time and time again, his days were filled with emptiness, and other times he just had to hunt down a group of raiders or bandits to take down. But this was the most urgent signal he had gotten since his creation. Overclocking his power output, the SDF Android made full speed towards the location that sent out the distress signal. The burning desire to arrive in time was for naught, as it took far too long to get to the village even with his speed.
Banza walked through the village in ruin, looking between the corpses with no energy left. What could he even do? He couldn't revive people... he had failed to save anybody. His sensor sweep pulsed across the region searching for even the slightest sign or sliver of hope, reaching out to anything that he possibly could as he knelt within the boundaries of the village. And there it was.
The feeling of a single power level. Weak and fading. But it was there. Taking a stand from his position, Banza took to the skies cloaked in white energy as he overclocked his body once more as he pushed off from the sky to fly right towards the weak power level.
Searching didn't take too long at all, Banza's eyes scanning the shoreline briefly before spotting both bodies and discerning which retained a power level. The android's descent slowed as he got closer, not wanting to land too roughly to disrupt the injured person as he'd float near them.
That was when he heard their weak cry for help. Banza's eyes slowly moved to the other corpse, taking notes of its rough state before looking at the boy laying on the ground once more. This was fairly close to where he met that one boy, was it not? The hunter? He didn't get too much of a chance to interact with them, but the resemblance was uncanny. "I'm here to help..." Banza spoke as softly as possible, reaching out to almost touch Sine but pulling back realizing that it was possible he'd only hurt the boy further. "This is probably going to hurt. But bare with me." Banza continued on, softly reaching for Sine and as carefully as possible, turning him over onto his back so that he could at least lay down easier.
"I... don't have anything to patch up these wounds of yours. I'm sorry." the android solemnly continued on, knowing that many others could help this boy better. "Do you think you can stand with help? We need to get you somewhere safe... or to somewhere with medical attention. I know that you're in pain but we have to try." Banza then stood up, trying to get into a position to help Sine up if he would even be able to or allow him to. It was up to Sine to want to get up, now. Unbeknownst to the mechanical woman, sheer terror, shock, distress, was being experienced several miles away from her position. She walked through the wastelands of Sadala, accompanied by her best friend Arti. They had just completed a spar not too long ago, as they felt slightly weary and tired. Well, Arti did. Being the robotic being she was today, she didn't feel as fatigued as her male, saiyan companion. One of the perks of being an android, was almost complete immunity to tiredness as laziness.
As they walked, they recalled the recent fight that occurred between them. With Diane coming out on top. Arti's arms and legs still ached slightly, but he didn't mind. That was a part of battle, and they had to live with it.
"Man, you nearly had me back there. You're getting better and better every day. It's great! Though I wonder if you'll ever give me a decent challenge..."
Diane had to suppress her ki often to keep herself from overwhelming Arti completely and not having fun. Diane was surprisingly the strongest out of all her friends, and she intended to keep it that way.
"Aww, cut me a break. You've been getting stronger and stronger since the other day. It's tough to keep up with y'know."
Diane then proceeded to giggle foolishly, a product of Arti comment. Until suddenly, she spotted smoke in the distance.
"Holy...."
Diane's first instinct was to go towards the burning village, not caring the slightest about whatever dangers may be lurking there. Diane didn't feel concern, just.... curiosity.
"Diane? Diane.... Diane!"
"Eh!?"
Diane snapped out of her brief stupor, responding to Arti. At that moment she looked upwards, seeing a very familiar android, and a very familiar face heading directly towards the direction in which the billowing smoke was coming from.
"B-Banza...!?"
Now this had definitely piqued her interest. Why was Banza heading towards a burning village? It didn't seem like he would make it in time to see anyone there. That village was done for. Nothing was saving that.
"Hey, what are you looking at..."
The saiyan raised his head to see what had caught Diane's eye, and saw the battle android.
"Hey.... Is that..."
Immediately, Diane burst into action. She crouched, placing one leg behind her, as she took a running stance.
"Wait for me here."
"But...."
Not even waiting for Arti to form his sentence, Diane took off, firing off her pink coloured aura as she ran at full speed towards the village.
Once she arrived, she found the village in ruin, not a single sliver of life detected by her ki sensing abilities. Ashes littered the ground, random corpses lying lifeless on the floor of Sadala. In the centre of the village, stood the battle android, who seemed unaware of her presence. She stood a good hundred yards behind him, realizing that her ki was unable to be sensed. The battle android seemed to scour the area as he searched for sources of life. Suddenly, Banza ignited his white aura, taking flight, towards a weakened power level, fading as countless thoughts wracked her mind. She failed to feel remorse or concern, just... shock. She ran towards the direction the battle android was heading in, finding a rather large ravine with a broken bridge. Banza flew into the ravine, as Diane thought to herself.
What happened? Why did it happen? How could anyone do this without a reason? I.... I need to get to the bottom of this.
Attempting a large jump after taking a couple steps back, Diane kicked off the opposite side of the ravine, propelling herself to the edge where she formerly stood. Knocking off the edge again, she kept doing this, going downwards as she went on. As she finally landed a couple yards away from the android and the weakened saiyan, Banza was talking to the boy.
"Banza, what happened?"
She turned towards Sine, as she delivered the obvious question,
"Are you alright?"
She didn't know how to help him, as she didn't have any experience first hand. She began to panic, slightly, as a thought came to her mind.
"Banza, we gotta get him to a healing chamber, ASAP."

Chapter V - Part I: Everlasting Night
There was a saying he had heard once, that time was relative to that of the state of mind. Was that why this torture felt like it was everlasting?
He had once dreamed of so much, of staying in his home village, of where it was safe and sound. Where Anima and Fatum stood by his side as they looked to a new future. A future where the village would grow closer to the capital. A place where they could feel like they were once again part of the bigger society at large. A future where the three of them were looked at like Heroes, respected people not out of fear, but of the good will and selflessness they had given to bring to rise so eagerly. Throwing even their lives into the fray to keep everyone safe. The reality was still ground shocking for Sine at the realization that such a dream was shattered, never to be able to come to fruition.
There were some voices, voices that pushed past the ringing of his ears and broke through. Someone was here, but for all he could feel, there was little care of whether they were friend or foe even. Everything was hitting him so fast, so quickly that he was just trapped in this state of lack of caring. It was the feeling of finally being moved by someone that his finally decided to give in. The adrenaline that had been keeping him moving through out that whole mess of an event. Even trying to form words with his mouth now felt like a struggle. The left side of his face felt like it was burning, like a bad sunburn after staying out in the sun for way too long.
One of the voices was familiar enough for him to understand it...the android from his hunts...friend. A gasp for air where there wasn't escaped him as he was turned over. The sudden and inability for the grasp of breath caused by the severe pain as he was turned over. Now that he was visible from his front side. It was clear to see the broken leg he had. Even closer examination would show a strange gray like fluid flowing from near the veins at his neck, focused around the left side of his face, the skin around the area a darkened gray, seemingly halted in place from spreading forward, splotches of his hair held a natural purple highlight in seemingly random spots. Something not naturally befitting the black hair of a normal saiyan. The palm of his hand was visible with a strange burn mark, the skin while red from the inflamation held almost a tattoo of a burn, a strange symbol that bore many similarities to runes or crest.
Looking back towards Diane as she came up from his blindspot, Banza's eyes would widen. "You...?" he asked cautiously, before realizing she meant no harm. In situations like this, he couldn't take bias and speak for the people he knew. Anybody approaching could be coming up to finish this boy off, and for all, he knew they could be the people who caused this whole mess. But not even she knew what happened, causing him to look down towards Sine once more. "I don't know... that village sent out a distress signal, not sure what happened there but these... people, I have no visual data on them." he'd glance towards the corpse of the strange being that was on the shore, the thought of some of the corpses in the village flashing back as he honestly had no idea what they were or why they were here.
Seeing as Sine was in hardly a position to speak for himself, Banza just looked down at the boy as he responded to Diane further. "Burn marks... broken limbs, strange... unidentified fluid." Banza listed off what he could see off of a simple glance of the boy, hardly paying attention to his weirdly natural dyed hair that wasn't there the last time they met. It was the least of his concerns. Looking over the boy's injured hand as well, Banza shook his head. "A strange branding here, recent." he'd slowly nod to Diane as she referred to a healing chamber, the voice of Sine snapping him back to focus on the boy.
"Anima?" he'd question, pondering back to the time he found this boy in the first place. The girl he was with when they first met, was that her name? And she had called him a name as well when Banza was watching them... "Sorry, Sine. We can look for your friend later." he didn't want to give out the fact that there was a huge possibility that his friend had died. He had no way to know where that person currently was, nor if they had made it out in time. All he knew was that he saw no corpses resembling that person, so there was hope.
Seeing as they weren't going to get the boy any medical attention just standing around there, Banza knelt down and looped his hands underneath Sine's body. With a very slow and careful motion, Banza lifted the boy up into his arms and looked towards Diane. "The village is wiped out, and we're far away from the capital. You crashed when I first met you... do you know anybody close by that can administer aide to him? If not... I think you're going to have to hold on while I fly us back to the capital and get him to a relief center." Banza spoke sternly, knowing that Sine probably wouldn't last too much longer or provide much information to them if they stayed there talking. But he wasn't just going to leave the other android behind if they couldn't fly yet.
"Don't worry. We're going to get you some help one way or another." WC: 520 TWC: 1019
As it turned out, Banza had no clue as to what exactly had happened. One thing was for certain, though. This boy was in critical condition, and he had to be given first aid, as soon as possible. As the mechanical female examined the injured Saiyan's body, she realized that his leg was broken, some weird grey juice was flowing from the base of his neck, an odd intricate burn mark was visible in his palm and certain areas on his hair was tinted purple. The unnatural injuries the Saiyan sustained were a mystery to say the least. What could've made a burn so.... odd? The boy weakly allowed his voice to leave his mouth, saying something almost inaudibly.
"Anima?"
Diane and Banza both questioned at the same time. Banza had assumed that this 'Anima' person was one of Sine's friends, although Diane reckoned that his friend failed to escape. She wasn't sure. But she wasn't about to voice her thoughtless opinion. Banza scooped up the boy, turning to Diane. He'd ask her if she knew anyone close by that could help Sine. They were quite a way from the capital, after all. At first, Diane answered without thinking.
"Uhm, no.... not that I know.... of...."
She suddenly thought of her best friend, Arti. He had no healing abilities or first aid training of any kind. So he wasn't an option.
"Well, we're gonna have to get out of here somehow. Hand the boy over. You're gonna have to get us both outta here."
Once Sine was in her arms, and Banza had carried and flown them out of the large ravine, Diane would spot Arti, pacing around the desert floor, still waiting for Daine to return to him.
"He actually listened? Damn."
Diane proceeded to call out to him, prompting him to lift himself into the air, joining Banza and Diane in their flight and journey towards the capital. Showcasing his ability of flight.
"Dammit, Diane! Banza, sorry if she was causing any trouble, and who is that guy you're carrying?!"
Arti's annoyed expression quickly transformed into a look of bewilderment as he saw Sine's injured form,
"Look, I made a mistake leaving you behind. I shouldn't have done that. But does it really matter now?!"
"That doesn't answer my question! What happened to him?"
Arti threw yet another question at the robotic teen, who, quite frankly, wasn't enjoying this experience. This whole time she still hadn't been able to get any answers, and while it stands to reason that Sine will only be able to provide them with this info once he has gotten back in shape, Diane was still annoyed. She didn't bother to answer her friend and continued looking straight.
"This better be worth it."
At the speed they were travelling at, Diane assumed that they'll reach the capital in.... 5 minutes? 10 minutes? Maybe more.... She honestly had no clue. WC:497

Chapter V - Part I: Everlasting Night
As he lied there, shifting in and out mentally from this world and the second dream like state, ease hit him in full force.
He felt like his body was covered in pins and needles, being lightly pressed up from every angle leaving him in a constant state of unknown. There was no real way to describe such a feeling except as raw pain as he was lifted up, the movement of his leg being one of the main reasons, not even accounting for the other injuries that falling from such height as he had. His body shuddered, feeling like he was in very deep water and the numbness as they moved his body. All that he could hear was mere muffles of the speech as it quizzed past him, faster than he could truly comprehend.
Still even then, a few words could manage to escaped with each exasperated breath, "Thank...you...heroes...", each word softer than the last, the last one so quiet, less than a whisper even. His body fell limp in her arms, the female android would be able to still feel a weak pulse if needed. His energy was still low however. As he eased into this slumber, the burning he felt, seemed to ease just slightly, it just felt so easy, so convincing just to lie there and sleep. Simply to let that flame he was trying to keep alive, that single flame...so easy it would be to just let it go out, to let the flame die. Simply to sleep, he didn't want the pain anymore, he didn't want to keep suffering. This tainted memory, continued to play on repeat.
He had thought he was unafraid, and yet even now. He felt like just giving up. Mentally he could picture that small flame, huddling over it, doing what he could to keep it going. It just felt cold everywhere else. He pictured himself falling into this mental landscape, the darkness of it growing as his flame dwindled. Each moment it stood, it shrunk ever so smaller. The gray liquid in his veins seemed to be growing faster as they began gaining a darker tonage ever so slowly. Then...the flame skipped, and the darkness took hold...
In her arms, the pulse would seemingly skip a moment while in her hands. A swift and a coin toss to be noticed...
As the darkness grew, he felt the cold around him in this landscape, he felt things growing cloudy, he felt...nothing...and then that last spark...faded...into the void the light once arose from.
In her arms...there would be no beat...time was still of the essence...even as the gray liquid in his veins..stopping their movement.

Banza could only nod to Diane as she asked for Sine to be handed over, making sure to move him carefully so as to not cause him more pain than necessary. Once Sine was taken, Banza lifted Diane up as well to take off, listening to the faint and soft words that left the boy's mouth. Was he even going to make it? Honestly, the Android didn't want to think about the possibility of losing someone out here.
Then, they had Arti join up with them, causing the Androids eyebrows to raise. "No... she's fine, but we need to get this boy to a medical machine. Something attacked his village, he's the only survivor found..... so far." it was true that they had no other leads on other survivors if there even were any from Sine's village. But the little string of hope couldn't fade, he also didn't want to just say outright that everybody this boy knew was possibly dead. Banza's course from then stayed steady, the android dragging Diane, Sine, and Arti along to the relief center should he keep following them.
Upon arrival, Banza set Diane down so she could walk on her own again. Medical staff at the site immediately rushed out as they landed, placing him on an emergency stretcher to carry him inside to the nearest medical pod that was available. As far as the commotion that the medical staff was making as they put him into the machine, it was unclear if the boy was even alive, or if this would do anything. The entrance of the machine slowly closed, the small window view of Sine on the inside slowly being surrounded in the healing fluid that the machines used.
Banza stared on, remaining relatively motionless up until he turned to look at Diane. "There's nothing we can do now but wait... and speculate I suppose." Banza spoke coldly, sitting down near the medical machine and leaning back with his face turned to look through the window of the Medical Machine at Sine suspended in the liquid that was being used to try and resuscitate him. "That mark on his hand wasn't just a normal burn mark, it was far too detailed. It's as if somebody got a hot iron and branded him like an animal. But I've never seen that symbol before, to know what it means." he'd muse staring at Sine more. The hair still wasn't something he could really attribute to anything, but that was strange as well.
"That fluid in his veins as well, none of it is normal. And that other burned creature on the beach probably has something to do with it." he'd cross his arms in thought. What could they really do in the meantime anyway? They didn't have the time to go back and check for that creature's body. Sine held all the answers, and his life was out of their hands. "If he can bounce back from this, he should be out soon enough. We'll have to get out answers then." he'd sigh, rubbing the back of his head. Surely this wasn't going to be all for naught, they saved him right? WC: 528 TWC: 1547
A chill down Diane's spine abruptly made itself known as they flew towards the capital. As if, the remaining energy within the limp boy suddenly... vanished. Her mind went blank for a moment before regaining her senses.
"C'mon, stay with me, Sine."
Eventually, as the day drew on, they arrived at the relief center. The male android placed Diane on her feet as he and Arti landed on the site. It was.... quite a scene, to say the least. As the emergency stretcher was brought out, Diane gently placed the injured saiyan in her arms onto it. As the minutes ticked by, Sine was eventually placed inside a healing chamber. The three companions would watch as the chamber filled with a bluish-green liquid. Finally, they've made it. While the female android was unsure if this would work, they have managed to complete what they set out to do.
Arti paced around the room nervously as Banza took a seat near the healing chamber.
"Oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh, this is actually happening.... crap, crap.... what if he doesn't make it?"
Diane raised an eyebrow at Arti's apparent concern. He didn't even know the injured Saiyan's name before all this, yet still.....
"Calm down, Arti. Jeez, I've never seen you like this before. Why are you so worried? He'll be fine, trust me!"
The tall saiyan seemed to calm down a bit, before piping up again.
"I don't know, Diane! I've never seen someone die before, and I couldn't bear it when you were being rebuilt. I know I've never met the guy before, but that changes nothing. I care for his well being, so don't tell me to just, calm down!"
Diane's eyebrows raised, taken aback by her saiyan friend's comment. She simply didn't know how to respond to that. After that, she left Arti to his own devices, as she turned to face the battle android. He commented on the burn in the palm of the saiyan in the healing chamber, and the grey fluid which flowed from his neck. Very abnormal indeed. He suggested that the dead body they had ignored probably had something to do with all this.
"I agree with you completely, although as we stand now, we don't exactly have the information to answer these questions."
They were all unsure about whether Sine would be alright or not. At that current moment in time.... things looked bleak. She had still hoped to have her questions answered as she began to think about what drove her to help him. She wasn't concerned for his well-being like Arti was, and she wasn't fulfilling any duties like Banza. Somehow, someway, the force pushing the android to lend her aid was pure curiosity. She wanted to find out who or what would do such a thing to the boy. Then, she would probably hunt them down for her own satisfaction. She'd take a seat near to the healing chamber, watching the injured saiyan as her head began to nod, until she finally fell asleep.

Chapter V - Part I: Everlasting Night
Even when all was dark, when the ashes covered the land, when all was lost...that was when the flames reignite.
As the cold set in, as he found peace in just lying down and resting a little longer...there it was buried in the ashes of once his flame, errupted the smallest of embers. A flame unbefitting of his original, bright red in color. The warmth of it a blessing onto his bare body, he crawled to it and huddled around it. Every small breath he gave to it letting it grow once more on the ashes of the fallen. The cinders from this ember beginning to erupt into it's flame. What he was doing wasn't with thought, merely the primal instinct to survive. As this bright crimson red flame burned, the sense of hearth filled him as he stood. The darkness falling back as he kept his eye opened. With a mere look up...his mental prison was broken.
His eye's awoken to a green liquid surrounding him. Even as he struggled to keep his eyes open, even within this medical machine. He truly believed that it had been her to save him. Even if he was in that machine, that fire that now burned in his heart, all he could feel was her from it. She was the one who saved him. He was going to have to thank her once he could see her. Sine looked outside the glass to the various scientist looking at his body. One of them rushing off perhaps to alert those that brought him here that he was awake. Physically he still felt weakened, like there was this weight on his body. In the reflection of the glass, one of the eyes that looked back to him...wasn't his...the skin around it gray, but the liquid once being in his veins no longer there. As if it had been contained within it's affected area, unable to spread any further naturally.
A sense of panic sat within his chest as he looked to the reflection, only barely being able to be kept calmed by the burning fire re-lit within his heart.
One of the scientist would speak rather loudly as they analyzed data they had gathered from the collected samples. "It appears sir that we're finding traces of the Umbrawn virus within this liquid that was spreading in his veins. That should explain the genetic alterations that have appeared within his skin. This sample appears to have been modified somehow though sir. There are traces of Elemi DNA bonded within the virus forming a mutated form of the sample.", After some talk seemingly would go off on the phone, he would answer again.
"We're currently still unsure how the virus mutated with it, but once we find more information on how it was done we will bring it over immediately. As of now, it appears to have stopped spreading, whether due to the medical liquid or by other means we are still uncertain of, but the infection rate should be stable and have stopped its progression. As long as standard safety procedures are followed, no crossing of viral fluids, then he should be free to talk within a couple minutes, but he will need to go back in after to receive full recovery." The scientist would finish saying as he would pocket his phone, looking to his other scientist off in another room to discuss the results.

As Diane responded to his few questions, Banza could only nod and let out a soft sigh. "Hopefully we'll have enough information soon." was all he could say on the subject as he sat relatively still. He cocked an eyebrow as Diane's head nodded, watching in slight disbelief as she fell asleep. She must have had enough cognitive function from her old body to require sleep, or maybe it was just muscle memory. Or further, she could just be shut down as he did from time to time when he was unneeded. Still, he was surprised that she managed to sleep at a time like this when they didn't even know if Sine was going to survive. But at the same time, she probably didn't have any stakes in this.
Banza remained sitting the entire time up until the scientist started to speak, perking up to listen to what they had to say on the matter. Hopefully, Diane would wake up on her own accord to hear all of this, he didn't have time to shake her wake right now.
The android didn't quite understand everything that was being said... but the Umbrawn ordeal was something he was somewhat invested in. It wasn't something he was told much about, and he never really scanned the databases to find out more himself, but the few he ran into one time were more than enough for him to catch on a bit. This didn't seem very good for Sine, but at the same time, perhaps it was going to be fine as long as that liquid didn't start moving again. Then, there was the other major thing. That Elemi DNA that was mixed into this virus? Considering all of the weird different genetic makeups that were forced into Sine's body, it was no wonder he had been physically changed so much.
Thinking back on everything he had seen, though, he knew that it wasn't the medical machine that stopped the spread of the virus. Finally standing up from his seat, Banza walked over to the pod to stare at the now awake Sine, knowing there would be no way to communicate with him just yet. All that he needed to see was that he wasn't dead, and his eyes were open showing that there was at least life still within them. He watched the scientist put away his phone, waving his hand. "That liquid, it was there when we found him, and it took us a while to get him back here. It halted its progress from that part of his veins before I even found his body. It's safe to say that something else is keeping it at bay." he'd mention lightly to the scientist before turning back to Sine as the scientist seemed too preoccupied with their result gathering.
It seemed at the very least that Sine would make it through this. No longer was it a question of if the boy would perish. "Seems like you made it. I thought we lost you on the way over here. It's honestly a miracle that we were able to get you here in time." Banza spoke softly to the injured Saiyan, if he could even count as that any longer?
"I won't bother you any further, though. Heal up and get your rest." was all the Saiyan could remark then, giving Sine a parting wave as he returned to his seat just nearby to watch Sine in his tank from his spot. WC: 581 TWC: 2128
The android jolted awake. She had fallen asleep? It seemed so. Staring at the healing tank for such a long time caused her to fall asleep from sheer boredom. She didn't need to sleep, she was in a mechanical body after all, but it was a part of her former life. She had always fallen asleep when she was a Saiyan, and she always will. Still, none of that excused her from falling asleep at such an urgent time. Sine could be dead in a moment, yet still, she fell asleep? Is she that.... inconsiderate? She shoved aside this thought as she turned towards her tall saiyan friend how seemed to have finally calmed himself down.
"D-Did I miss anything?"
"Well, for starters, the boy's awake now. You also missed some important information."
"What kind of information?"
She sat up, listening attentively.
"It seems like some virus caused that grey liquid to flow from his neck. They were also talking a bunch of science mumbo jumbo about DNA."
Virus? She wasn't sure of what to make of this. That... virus must be the reason he looks so abnormal. That still didn't explain that burn mark in Saiyan's palm. What could've made something that intricate? It is strange, to say the least.
"Did you understand anything?"
"Hey, you know I'm an idiot. Scientific stuff confuses me. Hell, I think my head hurts."
It was true. Neither of them were ever seen as... bright....
"Whatever."
The android watched quietly as Banza got up and approached the healing chamber. She would promptly get up as well, walking towards the tank to stand next to the battle android, while Arti occupied the seat she had left. Banza mentioned the liquid they found on Sine's neck when they found him.
"I mean, probably. But what though?"
She would raise her hand, touching the exterior of the tank lightly, with the curiosity of an innocent child.
What happened to you?
Of course, he couldn't answer those questions now. With two pairs of eyes peering at him from outside his tank, he probably wants to answer our questions. Banza had nothing left to say, so he trudged back towards the seat he had formerly sat in, sitting in it once more. Diane looked behind her, seeing that Arti took her seat. She walked towards him, signalling to him to get up.
"Aww, cut me some slack, yeah?"
"You really are a nightmare, y'know."
A soft smile would form on her face. She thought back to Sine. He was alive. Everything was okay. She'd helped. She felt... accomplished... In a way. She had helped save a life. At first she felt inconsiderate, but now, she felt great. Soon, she'd be able to get her answers, hopefully.
