Cambia sat in the Kami's throne, the small dragon statuette twisting in her fingers. Her tears had dried now, although the stone throne of the Earth's Guardians now sported several new craters in its back and armrests. Her boots beat against the stone as her legs dangled over the sides of the throne, her sword embedded in the floor beside her, appearing for all the world as if she were just lazing around without a single care in the world. When she heard the clack of armour moving against tiles, the demonic Saiyan would hold the dragon statuette up in the air above her head.
"So much trouble... over such a small, delicate thing." she said softly, although her words echoed in the hall. "One little slip... and all that effort would be for nothing." Cambia said, tossing the statue up into the air before catching it deftly between her fingers. She didn't even look at her half-sister as she addressed her. "Unless you've turned off that Super Saiyan swagger of yours, you don't get to speak yet." she said, before she gave a scoffing snort. "Then again with us sis," said Cambia, her blonde furred tail flicking from side to side, "it's a little hard to tell isn't it if its on or off?" the demonic Saiyan hybrid mused.
She stopped twirling the Dragon Statuette before punching the throne once more, getting off the throne, yanking her sword out from the floor with her hand and striding up towards her sister. "What in all the depths of Hell were you thinking?!" roared Cambia as she glared at Atsuko. "They were bloody well leaving! The deal had been made! And you almost made them turn on their end of it, to not kill us, because you couldn't control your god damned Super Saiyan ego in fucking check!" the blonde hybrid snarled.
"And for what reason eh? Because they were shooting at the Lookout?" she asked her sister before spinning around and hurling her sword into the throne, the back of it shattering at the impact, the blade itself embedding into the floor behind it. "Because Kami had to have her precious throne kept safe and sound was it? Or some other superfluous reason?" Cambia asked her. "Because if it was because of this little statue, then the answer was simple. Or at least it was to me. They fire, you grab the important stuff and get out. So what if the Lookout went kaboom eh? The You damned Dragon Balls would have been able to reverse the damage done you blonde bimbo!" raged the little sister to the eldest.
She stood there for a moment, glaring up at her before closing her eyes and letting out a sharp yet slowing breath through her nose. When she opened her eyes again to look at her sister, she appeared to be a little calmer. "What the hell happened back there eh? Why the hell am I the one giving you the lecture about all this eh?" Cambia asked as she walked away to retrieve her sword.

Atsuko was having a bad day, to put it mildly. Though her armor was ruined, enough of it remained to cause the clanking of metal to echo throughout the damaged Lookout. As soon as she came into the throne room, Cambia raised the Dragon Statue overhead. And began to speak about how it was so much trouble over such a small thing... The Albino Saiyan really didn't like how this conversation was going, the instant she saw it falling, the Knight shot forward and attempted to catch it. It proved to be an unnecessary reaction, as her little sister caught it before any damage was done.
The Knight was about to open her mouth in order to speak, but Cambia cut her off. Exit her state as a Super Saiyan? That sounded so unreal to her, after everything that happened... Why was her little sister so angry over the actions that she took as a Guardian of Earth? She couldn't even muse on that for very long, as the hybrid's next actions were clearly very angered, punching off of the throne, picking up sword and keeping stride towards Atsuko. It sounded less like her little sister was trying to form words and just...
Snarling and shouting at her. After everything that happened? Why was she defending the Saiyans? Why was any of this still so important? The battle was over, that should have been enough. Atsuko didn't want to talk about it... But her little sister was still raging about it so fervently, and the Albino Saiyan wasn't just going to walk away while all of this was taking place. Finally, the younger sister fell quiet... Atsuko didn't exit her Super Saiyan form yet, the rage was still burning too greatly inside of her, but she did have some clarity now.
"Why? Because this is my home... Our home, and I need to show that as a Guardian of Earth, I'm not going to bend over backwards for them if they're still going to find loopholes. They need to be aware that if they continue pulling acts like this... I'm not going to ignore it. I will rescind kindnesses I rendered to them.", the Albino Saiyan began her response. Fine, Cambia wanted to talk about it? Then the little sister could remain quiet, just like she had forced the elder sister just moments ago. The Knight proceeded to raise her hand, cutting Cambia off.
"I saved Athren's life. I saved Nasu and Komatsu from Jarvis. Two people died because they couldn't get over their damned pride. I didn't start that battle, you know me. But I did finish it, and if they start another? I'm going to finish that one too. I can't afford to keep sparing threats to Earth, Cambia! What would it say if the Guardian of Earth allowed destruction to take place? I gave them a deal, yes. And I only "breached contract" because they decided to try and abuse a loophole.", the Saiyan continued, as mad as she was...
She was holding herself back with everything she could muster. Cambia wasn't her enemy. "I shared so much with Athren... And Tau cared about him deeply once. He turned on both of us, when I found out that he became involved with you? I lost it. I've been pushed over and over again today! It's reaching a breaking point!", Atsuko shouted, her aura flaring up slightly. But then she closed her eyes, trying to calm down. "I nearly died trying to save you... I put myself at risk trying to keep everyone else safe... And on top of it all, I wanted to deliver a message."
Atsuko finally opened her eyes once more as she looked to Cambia. "That we aren't weak. We won't be trampled upon... And we won't be used and discarded as they please, and yes! That Dragon Statue was a factor! I didn't even have the time to close the distance and react to it properly! If I didn't do what I did, there wouldn't be a Lookout anymore! There wouldn't be a Statue for you to hold, and there would be no more Dragon Balls! You make it sound so simple, but it's not!"
Finally, the Saiyan walked passed Cambia, and proceeded to sit down on the beat up throne. "...None of it is simple. It was easy for me to say 'I can look after an entire world, I can be a Hero'. This battle showed me the reality of things. The fact that it's not as simple as I would like it to be. But I can't just run away from it, Cambia... If you hate me, I understand. But I saw what I had to do, so I did it, unfair as it was! But you have to realize they forced my hand."
The Albino Saiyan leaned back against the throne, as her gaze is cast upwards to the ceiling. "I never wanted any of this. I lost control of myself, someone died. And because I was so blinded by rage, one of my friends died too.', finally, she closed her eyes once more. "They're the type of people that won't stop... They won't ever be happy, Cambia. If you want to hate me, if you want to leave... I understand. What I did was unforgivable, and I can't sit here and make excuses about it. I don't know all the answers!"
The Albino Saiyan then looks to her little sister once more. "I wish that I did. That I knew how to handle every situation, and to make everything right. I'm a "god" only in name. I'm still just an eighteen year old girl! That's still no excuse for what happened, but it's just an explanation! I'm sorry for what happened, little sister. I never wanted to hurt you, I just wanted you to have a home. I wanted you to be safe. Athren and the other Saiyans wanted to rip that away. Or... It felt like that was the case!"
The Knight continued on. "So please... Can we just... Move on from this? Rebuild everything? Because what happened, has already happened. I can't go back and change it, and... I don't know if I'd want to. I hate Athren with every fiber of my being. I'm not saying that to be cruel to you, I'm just being honest with you!", finally, she was done. The Albino Saiyan leaned forward, pressing the palms of her hands against her face and trying to collect herself. She hadn't broken down into tears, it was just... Getting to be too stressful on her.
Suddenly, the golden sword at her side began to glow brightly, and form into a being that highly resembled the Albino Saiyan, though she was clad in a red outfit that proved to be... Rather revealing. "I'll explain more about this later.", Excalibur stated to the most likely bewildered Cambia about her sudden appearance. "But that transformation... Super Saiyan, I believe it was called... It feeds off of rage and fuels it. She won't say anything in her own defense, other than what was already said, but she couldn't control herself because it simply didn't allow for that."
The Sacred Sword explained. "If you want to help her, she needs to know how to control it. I was intending to help her get through this but... I think you could do a better job of it than I could.", Excalibur admitted. And then fell silent so as to allow Cambia a chance to process everything, as well as give her own piece about it all. A lot had happened... And they really needed the chance to rest, but it seems like there was still more to do. The Sacred Sword turned her gaze over to the injured Albino Saiyan.
That Senzu Bean helped, but her armor and clothing was still in shambles, and mentally she was struggling with everything that happened. Excalibur found it to be a sorry state of affairs. "...You probably have your reasons to be mad, but go a little easy on her. This was her first time coping with.... Anything like that."
Cambia ran a hand through her hair as she listened to her sister's words, letting the Super Saiyan Kami get it all out of her system. Cambia nearly dying, the thing between herself and Athren, that Tau was a part of it as well. The speech kept coming back to one thing though... the fact that she was supposed to be the protector of an entire planet. Whilst still being a teenage girl at that.
The demonic Saiyan sighed and shook her head. "Sis, if there's one thing I've learned about homes, is that a home is wherever you put up your feet that day." she said, sheathing her sword before resting a hand on her shoulder. "Besides, so what if they blew up the Lookout eh? There's still that pod thing in the Tower." Cambia suggested. "Sure it'd be a bit cramped with all your spare armour and polish, and whatever the green guy brought along..."
It was then that someone else appeared... their appearance causing her to groan. "I swear, if this is the ghost of your dead twin sister, I swear to You, I am gonna... I am not really sure at this point any more." Cambia grumbled before listening to the ghostly version of Atsuko who honestly had better taste in clothes. "Yeah, I kinda figured it was that." she said when Red Atsuko explained about the whole Super Saiyan rage deal. "And my guess is that Nasu and Athren were going through the same thing... Athren even more so cus he went through two transformations in what... the space of a few minutes?" she asked.
She looked back to Blue Atsuko and sighed before trying to gently smack her upside the back of her head. "So, Miss Iron Corset who gave me a lecture about not too long ago about beasts inside and blah blah blah... welcome to the dark side~" the little sister said, with a teasing tone in her voice before she went and tried to sit on the armrest of the throne. "So, what exactly did those walking corpses in bathrobes tell you about controlling your temper and rage, back when you were in armoured nun school eh? That and how to deal with the whole death thing?" Cambia asked her, deciding to try and get a frame of reference for this whole thing.
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Atsuko sighed a little as she resumed proper posture. Cambia's words weren't as harsh this time around... "Look... I know we can just set up wherever, and we can always keep on the move but... I wanted something nice for you. We needed a place where we could actually settle down, sort everything out. The Lookout is perfect for that. Wouldn't it be nice? No more aimless wandering in the wilderness, setting up basic camps and shacks... We don't have to try and 'fit in' at the cities, either. For all intents and purposes, this could serve as our home and headquarters."
The Albino Saiyan gave her response, and then she glanced around, even from the throne room, the damage was clear. "It needs to be fixed up now... We have a lot to do. And I just... Want to forget about the Saiyans for now. They've done nothing but hurt us. Nasu is the only one I can really respect right now.", the Knight admitted. When she finished, Excalibur was the next to start speaking to Cambia. "Look... I don't know what happened between you and Athren, and you're probably not going to like hearing this, but it needs to be said."
The woman in red began. "There were only two Super Saiyans on the Lookout. Atsuko, and Nasu. Whatever it was that Athren became...", the Sacred Sword paused, pondering over the right words to use. "...He's not coming back from it. Don't be fooled by the hair and eyes. The power was different, it wasn't born out of anger, either.", she continued, hoping that her words would get through to the young half demon. "It was born out of malice, a pure killing intent. Whatever it was is not something that you can reason with anymore. And for your safety... You should avoid him."
As she finished, Cambia looked back over to Atsuko and let out a sigh before smacking her upside the head. The elder sister would have liked to say that it was painful, or surprised her, but... It didn't even register due to the fact that she was still in her Super Saiyan form, she couldn't help but smile a little at the little sister's teasing tone and words. "I know... I've been pretty foolish about it all.", the Saiyan responded as Cambia proceeded to sit on the armrest. With that, the hybrid asked what the Order taught her about controlling her rage and dealing with death...
"Well... To honor our dead, we perform a burial, of course. Bernael was the most attached to Jarvis, so I didn't have any problems with letting him handle that. As for controlling my rage...", the Saiyan pondered it over for a moment. "They were always so patient with me, whenever I became frustrated, they gave me advice. If I was too angry to see it at the time, they simply told me to meditate. It was so annoying at first! But... It really worked.", the Albino Saiyan began her explanation.
"Slowing down and thinking about everything, realigning my inner energies... It gave me a sense of clarity that I didn't have at the time. It just became easier to deal with, soon enough I didn't have my rage anymore. I could just deal with things without resorting to violence or power... This was the first time that I actually tapped into it, in years.", the Saiyan added. "Indeed... I noticed something that always happened when she did; her power would spike. It was always brief... But my theory paid off. She was able to tap into her true potential. Although..."
Excalibur paused for a moment as she stepped over, placing a hand on the Albino Saiyan's shoulder. "I wasn't expecting her to be unable to control her rage once she ascended.", the Sacred Sword then turned her gaze to Cambia. "She didn't spend years learning to control her anger, she just practiced hiding it away. Essentially... I think she didn't bring out the maximum effectiveness of her transformation because her mind was so dulled.", Excalibur explained, and it all made perfect sense to the Super Saiyan. Atusko didn't want to admit that she was lacking in such a critical department but...
Well, she sort of was. "So, I guess I don't really know anything about controlling it.... I have a lot of work ahead of me, don't I?", the Knight admitted to both herself and to her younger sister. There was such a mess to deal with... But all Atsuko could really do was just keep moving forward. At least she didn't lose Cambia like she had first feared. That brought a measure of relief to the Albino Saiyan that was obvious in her face and posture... Honestly, it was rather amazing that she was even maintaining her form when she looked so happy.
Maybe there was some truth to what Excalibur was saying...
The demonic Saiyan sighed and shook her head. "I said dealing with death, not honouring the dead." said Cambia when Atsuko went on about burying people. "I'm talking about your feelings towards taking another life, how you felt in that moment when Komatsu died from your combined attacks." the little sister explained.
When the Super Saiyan explained how the Order "taught" her to deal with her anger, she gave a little scoff of air. "Figures. Priests suck at giving any actual advice for anything that doesn't involve just hiding it." the blonde hybrid said, a note of disdain in her voice.
"You never got rid of your rage sis through these meditations... all you did was bottle it all up. Years of repressed rage and anger, and woosh. Here we are." Cambia shrugged as if it made perfect sense. She looked over at the ghost for a bit and chuckled. "Well of course she wouldn't with the first time. Nobody can, especially those that repress it for so long, denying it release." said the demonic Saiyan. "When I first transformed under the red moon... it was in an absolute fit of rage, anger, hate... I wound burning down the entire orphanage they'd dumped me in, with everyone trapped inside of it... I was eight or so." Cambia told the pair of them.
"Obviously I got better at it, but it took me a trail of bodies to get it right. Took me that long to figure out how to shift out of my demonic state and into a normal-ish looking one." the blonde hybrid stated before she sighed. "Problem being here is that I doubt we've got the years for you to undo what those bloody priests stuck in your head." Cambia mused before she pulled out her flask, undid the lid and took a swig of it's contents before then offering it to Atsuko.
"After today, I think you need it." she said. "We could try to work through your anger issues with rampant destruction out in the wastelands, destroying random rock formations and the like..." suggested Cambia before a wicked grin came across her face. "Or, we could head down to this little place I know, and have you work through your frustrations with a little... physical release exercise. Like you said, you're an eighteen year old girl... and a girls got needs." said the little sister with a suggestive tone of voice, her hand slowly working to try and undo the straps to Atsuko's armour as she spoke.
"Or did the old men teach you to repress those desires as well as your rage hmm?" Cambia inquired of her older half-sister. There was still one thing that was puzzling her though that had yet to be addressed. "By the way... who are you?" she asked of the ghostly duplicate of Atsuko.
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Atsuko's expression darkened a little when her little sister elaborated on what she meant about dealing with death. "Oh... Well, they always said that I shouldn't lash out in anger and kill someone. It's meant to be a last resort, death is the single greatest and harshest judgment we can render unto anyone. So... The fact that I broke such an oath and killed someone, even by accident is something that I must atone for.", the Albino Saiyan began her explanation. Truthfully... She didn't know anything about what the punishments were, she was a problematic child with anger problems in her youth.
But she had never done anything that bad, when her rage was suppressed she became a model member of their Order. "...Accidents tend to happen, but even the mistakes are something we must reflect upon. One of the most common methods that I can recall is several hours of meditation in solitude. Traditionally it's done at the top of a mountain, baring yourself to the harsh elements and praying to both one that you killed as well as to the gods.", the Sacred Sword explained. It made sense... There were probably more harsh methods for those that didn't regret what they did.
"So... I guess that should be my starting point.", the Albino Saiyan began. Cambia's comment about Priests was rather harsh... Though, the Knight didn't say anything in response. "They're not meant to give perfect answers to everything, it's something that you need to come to terms with yourself. In Atsuko's case... She was sheltered for all of her life. It's no real wonder that she doesn't have any experience dealing with any of this properly. The most she ever had to cope with were the equivalent of tantrums due to her Saiyan heritage.", Excalibur offered her piece on that particular subject.
The half Demon then went on to explain what happened the first time that she awoken her powers and rage... It was a rather dark story, to say the least. "Doesn't it... Bother you to know that happened? They didn't even have quick deaths, it must have been slow and agonizing... I can't think of many more frightening ways to go, to be perfectly honest with you.", the Saiyan commented. "I'm not trying to judge you or say it was wrong, either.", the Knight soon elaborated. She didn't want to give off the implication that she was judging Cambia!
But she certainly had no idea how to deal with something like that... At least what happened to Komatsu was quick, it wasn't instant, but it was quick. Finally, the little sister offered a flask of alcohol to the elder sister. Atsuko shook her head slightly. "I don't drink. I prefer to keep my wits about me, and I've heard it's a bad habit when you're depressed about something.", the Albino Saiyan responded, trying her best to politely decline the offer. "Good luck trying to get her to do anything to unwind. She's got an entire wall built up."
The Sacred Sword said out of minor frustration over her wielder, it was good that she was acting as such a proper Knight. But there was still a time and place to just... Relax a little. But no matter how hard Excalibur pushed on the subject, it didn't get very far at all with Atsuko. Cambia then mentioned that there was two options, to just go out into the middle of a wasteland and work it all out with a lot of destruction... Or there was something that sounded more, ah, carnal by design. The Albino Saiyan didn't much like either option.
"Um... I don't really want to harm Earth... And I'd rather not do things like that just yet.", she voiced her objection, and the little sister asked if the Monks taught her how to repress that too. "Of course they did! Such acts should not be performed lightly! Such... Things should only be performed with the one you love. Besides that, I don't think I would be very good at it... So I want to save it for a special occasion, if nothing else!", the Knight gave her response, and then the hybrid turned her attention to the sword.
"I'm Excalibur! The sword that Atsuko has wielded for her entire journey~! I am a Legendary Sword that was wielded by the first Holy Knight. Ahh... I still remember those battles and adventures. Being able to experience it all again with Atsuko makes me so nostalgic, and yet so many things have changed from when I was last awake!", the Sacred Sword went on and on. She was definitely more prideful than the Albino Saiyan could ever hope to be. "But I digress! I've given you my name, so it is nice to meet you!", the Sacred Sword added with a curtsy.
"As for what Atsuko should do, I have a few ideas of my own, she needs to learn how to steel her mind against the rage. The next problem with the form; she expends huge amounts of energy and it places a considerable strain on her body. Both of these factors need to be worked upon. The more she can focus, I believe the more she can refine the form and it's power until finally it will be just as if she's fighting without relying upon her Super Saiyan form! ...Though still with it's power, of course."
The Sacred Sword took a bit of a smug grin. "She knows how to sense Ki and how to suppress her energy, too! A good foundation to start upon, yes! Now we just need to build upon it!", Excalibur continued on in her excited fashion. It didn't seem like anything would drag her down... "Well... I guess I did ask you two for help. Okay, I'll follow your advice. What should I do first?", the Knight inquired, and the Sacred Sword wasted little time in forming her response! "You must refine your technique! You've been relying on pure survival instinct!"
The woman in red then proceeded to pull Atsuko up from the Throne. "Concentrate upon what must be done, battle as if your life is not in danger, but as if it is a dance!", she continued. Atsuko looked more than a little lost about it all... "Err... What...?", Excalibur sighed a little. "Honestly... I'm going to have to teach you how to properly wield me! Those Monks have lost their touch if they consider this acceptable! You agree with me don't you, Cambia?", the woman in red shot a glance to Cambia, waiting for her answer. Though not for too long.
"Alright, let's start it off simple then. You know how to control your energy in base form. But your Super Saiyan abilities are wild, untamed. Look at you! You can't even lower your aura.", she gestured to the Albino Saiyan. It was all true, she couldn't stop her aura from flaring at least a little... "I get it now, I'm wasting too much energy like this.", the Albino Saiyan responded. It seemed like the two had a good idea of what to do next for training, though Excalibur wasn't intending to just run off and do it all by herself!
"You'll be helping us too, Cambia! You might learn a thing or two, yourself.", the Sacred Sword stated as she pointed at the half demon.
Cambia rolled her eyes at the pair of them. "Seriously? You holy types are really screwed in the head." she said, taking a swig of her drink. "Nasu and Athren were trying to kill you. You fired your attack to deal with him and put an end to him once and for all. Komatsu just got in the way of it to try and save him. Nothing to atone for in my opinion." shrugged the demonic Saiyan. "If you really want to atone, don't we got to find those Dragon Balls to bring the kid and blue fur back from the dead anyways? None of that self-flagellation bullshit. Unless you're secretly a masochist, then go right on ahead. I'll even make you a gimp suit to go with it." she said before taking another swig.
When they asked her about the fire back then, Cambia gave a shrug. "First couple weeks yeah, it bothered me a little. Could hear their screams even when I wasn't sleeping for those weeks." she admitted. "But, to be honest... they had it coming. Every single day, they would find some way to torment me." said the demonic Saiyan, as she took on her Demon Heart form, black veins pulsing through her skin, dark carapaces appearing on her flesh, her eyes slitting like serpents whilst her ears and canines became more pointed.
"Imagine growing up looking like this, surrounded by humans. You could at least hide your tail and pass as human. Me? Not so mcuh." suggested Cambia to her older sister and the ghost. "They would shove me in the toilet, throw clumps of hard mud at my head, or snow with solid ice hidden inside in the winter. Set fire to my tail, hide tacks in my bed, or just straight up punch and kick me if they thought I was to blame for something, and they usually found a reason." the demonic Saiyan said to the pair of them, her face turning into a grimace at the memories. "The adults did nothing, in fact they simply kept saying that I should try to fit in more with the other kids, that I should try to not stand out and just behave myself, stop causing trouble..." she said with a snarl.
She sat there in silence for a bit. "Eight years of that... I don't lose sleep over them anymore." said Cambia, perhaps just a tad callously. But then again she had every right to be, as far as she was concerned. She rolled her eyes as her sister refused the offer of wanton destruction for her anger management, or even anything else. "I was suggesting a massage you chaste twit. They've got one guy there who can give himself six arms. Now imagine six hands rubbing and caressing your aching muscles, finding juuust the right spots to calm your nerves and soothe the soul eh?" the little sister said, completely evading the sex option.
"And as for not wanting to harm Earth? Who's going to complain about a couple of rocks getting blown up? You may be the planet's Guardian sis, but that doesn't mean you have to be a complete eco-nut pacifist." When the Sword Excalibur gave her long introduction about who she was, she found her eyes looking towards her own "demonic" sword. "Not sure whether I'd wish mine could do that or not..." Cambia mused before she groaned at Excalibur's words.
"First up, steel herself against the rage? Dumbest idea ever." the blonde hybrid said, swinging herself around so she could face Excalibur directly. "That's just doing the same moronic plan the priests did with her with the suppressing her feelings nonsense, and look how well that turned out." said Cambia. The demonic Saiyan shook her head. "What happened out there was because she didn't know how to control her rage properly, how to channel it. She shouldn't be ashamed of her emotions, nor hiding her anger or rage." stated the younger sister. "She should be embracing it, letting it become a part of her, letting it flow naturally through her." Cambia declared.
"If she tries to treat it like a savage monster, caging it away until those few times she needs it, of course it's going to do a number on her body and mind. Everyone has anger inside of them. Everyone has rage. Everyone has darkness inside their souls... what matters is not in how you keep it from coming out, but in how you manage and flow with it." she said, before an idea hit her and she smirked.
"Besides, don't you holy types have a few phrases? Righteous fury, divine wrath, holy indignation and so on? Let those be your guidelines." suggested the younger sister before she shrugged. "Besides, I don't think you've got much choice in the matter." Cambia said as she looked to her older sister. "The Super Saiyan form seems to be triggered by intense rage at first given how you, Nasu and Athren reacted before surging into them... given that, I think its a safe bet to make that any powers higher than that, are gonna need a helluva lot of rage and fury."
When the Spirit of Atsuko's sword began to compare battle to a dance, she had to shrug. "Maybe not the kind of dance you're thinking of, but I get the idea." she said before she tried to translate for her older sister what the ghost was on about. "Everything's got a rhythm. The flow of battle, the clashing of wills before, during and after the first blow is struck." she said, starting to tap her sword's tip against the tiled flooring in a steady pattern. "What you gotta do, is let yourself flow with that rhythm. So that when the enemy strikes," she said, her sword stopping tapping and suddenly being swung towards Atsuko's head, although she'd stop herself short of actually hitting her if the older sister didn't react in time, "you can move into the next note of the song."

Cambia had more than fair points about it all... She was pushed so much, every single day at every single moment. It's no wonder that it exploded just as violently for her. Atsuko was essentially having that same reaction, it just took longer to happen by comparison. She had been trying her best to be patient and kind to the Saiyans, even when they were absolutely horrid to her in return. The battle at the Lookout was just the result of it finally being pushed too far, in all directions. No one was happy with how it turned out, that much was clear.
The little sister then elaborated that she was talking about a massage. The Albino Saiyan was a little dubious at best, but even then, the description was enough to make the Knight blush in response. "I... Don't think I'm cut out for that, maybe I should just stick to meditation!", she responded in a rather flustered fashion. The conversation then turned to the fact that she was the planet's Guardian, but that didn't mean she needed to be so much a pacifist towards it... Atsuko, of course, disagreed with that. "I must take the greatest care I can give for Earth!"
The Knight responded without hesitation. "What message would it send if I were to begin scarring the beautiful world simply because I had problems that I needed to sort out? I can't do that at all!", she solidified her response. After that, the hybrid decided it was time to address the words that Excalibur used. "However, she can't just succumb to her rage. There is a difference between suppressing it, and being prepared to stand equally with it.", the Sacred Sword began her rebuttal. It was true that those phrases were used by those within Holy Orders...
But the woman in red felt like she was using the proper terms as well. "Atsuko needs to learn how to defend herself against it, to resist the control it has! If she welcomes it with open arms as she is now, she won't make any progress... Or worse, she'd end up like Athren did.", the Sacred Sword replied. The little sister wasted no time in then making her next point that there probably wasn't much choice due to the nature of the Super Saiyan form and how to ascend into it. "While that's true... I should be able to do more than just give into it, right?"
The Albino Saiyan responded. Excalibur proceeded to nod. "That's right! I do have a theory that you may need to channel your fury to greater extents in order to ascend even further... But that's for the future. You need to focus on the present, and in the present, you are sloppy and untrained! That won't do, not at all. It's unbecoming of a Guardian of Earth, a Holy Knight, and most importantly my Wielder!", the Sacred Sword made her little speech. Afterwards the discussion turned to the fact that the woman in red called battle a dance.
The Knight listened carefully to her sister's words, as well as the tapping of the blade... This was something she knew to an extent, it was one of the philosophies of her Order; To Flow like Water. When Cambia swung her blade towards the Albino Saiyan, Atsuko proceeded to dodge nimbly out of the way. "Hmm... Well, you dodged it. But look at you! You're still wasting so much energy! This is entirely unacceptable. I can see that we need to start at the very basics.", the Sacred Sword lectured, and then began to adjust the Knight's stance.
"Now. Your energy in this form is based upon your rage, but it blinds you. You lose so much of your focus that it's amazing you can fight at least half as well as you manage! We need to deal with this at the core. Close your eyes.", the woman in red commanded, and the Albino Saiyan heeded. "Now! Think back to what the Saiyans did, what they wanted to do. Everything that happened because of them.", the Sacred Sword began. Atsuko was a little hesitant... But she heeded the instructions, her brows furrowed, and she frowned.
Her aura began to intensify as her anger began to built up just as before. "You can feel it, can't you? All that energy you're wasting. You're not in control, your fury is.", Excalibur continued; and her words held truth to them... Now that Atsuko focused on it, she could feel all of the energy that was being wasted. "It's the same principle as when you learned to suppress your energy, call it back. It's yours to command, not to be commanded by!", the woman in red stated, and the Albino Saiyan gave a nod. It was starting to make sense.
Atsuko couldn't just keep relying on her own instincts in order to get by, when she became Super Saiyan, she let her newfound powers take the wheel entirely. It was time to take back control of herself... It was difficult, trying to maintain what made her a Super Saiyan, as well as dial it back just enough to maintain her power. It was a slow process, and one that began to look as if Atsuko was locked in a long meditation. The changes started subtle, her aura's flow began to slow down from the outrageous pace that it was otherwise at.
She began to pick up momentum in her control, the golden aura flaring around her began to lower. "That's more like it! Keep it up!", the Sacred Sword urged her on. Atsuko's hair and eyes maintained the glow, but her aura turned from a raging torrent to a sleek, stable form. The difference in the power was unreal. "Is this the full power of a Super Saiyan?", Atsuko asked in a calm tone of voice, as she raised her hands and stared at them for a moment. The anger was still there... But she had tamed it, rather than be tamed by it.
"Yes. The full power of a Super Saiyan; your true potential.", Excalibur stated, and then she turned her gaze to Cambia. "Well, what do you think? I think she's made a lot of progress!", the woman in red said as she swelled with pride, both in her stance and her tone of voice. "I knew that she had in her all along, she just needed a little guidance, a push in the right direction!", Excalibur grinned just as smugly as before, her eyes were closed. Atsuko shook her head lightly as she smiled as well.
"Thanks... Both of you, I really needed this.", the Knight voiced her gratitude. With this, she was even more able to look after Earth. There wouldn't be a second time where she would lose herself to her anger, not while she could keep control of it like this. There may be another day where she had to give into it again... But she could rely on Excalibur and Cambia to help her through that, too. "I don't think it will always be this easy... But at least I have you two to help me out.", the Knight really wanted to repay the favor...
"I want to repay both of you for this, so if there's anything that either of you need... Just let me know.", the Albino Saiyan finished. She was still marveling at her refined potential somewhat... [Mastering Super Saiyan Full Power, Thread PL is now: 3,143,984]

The hybrid facepalmed as Excalibur said the word succumb. "Urgh... how to put this in a way you can get..." she groaned before sighing. "Alright, imagine your anger as a horse or something. You're riding that horse to where you want to go, but you've got no reins, no stirrups, you're riding it bareback. When riding a horse like that, you've got to go with the flow, understand the motions of your horse as you use pressure here and there gently to make it go where you want it to. Too much in one spot and you could cause the horse to go somewhere else entirely. Too little and you won't go where you want to." said Cambia, making it up as she went along. "That sound any better an analogy here?" the demonic Saiyan asked either of them.
She glared at Excalibur. "This," she said gesturing to the Super Saiyan Atsuko, "isn't welcoming her rage with open arms. This is her biting at the bit with it, trying to keep it in a cage whilst at the same time trying to let it loose. Her rage is battling with her Holy mind stuff she went through with the monks." After that she just sat, watching and listening as the Spirit of the Sword went into a lesson with Atsuko, trying to help her manage her power output better. Cambia couldn't comment on if it was working or not since she couldn't sense energy like they could... something that perhaps she should try to rectify right then and there.
Closing her eyes, the demonic Saiyan tried to envision those around her... trying to feel the pressure of their beings with her mind. At first she couldn't see or feel anything. Nothing but darkness and silence. Picture ripples across a lake instead my darling spawn~ said a whisper in the back of her head. Cambia's eyes shot open and she looked around the room, before shaking her head and going back to her own exercise whilst her sister worked on her Super Saiyan stuff. Once more she tried to envision the pressures around her, trying to get a feel for their energies.
Eventually though she conceded and tried the ripple idea. At first there was nothing... but slowly she began to feel something... something massive and intense nearby. The demonic Saiyan opened her eyes and looked towards Atsuko, with both sets of eyes, the physical and the metaphysical. She looked her sister over when Excalibur asked her what she thought about it. "Well, wouldn't have been the way I woulda done it... but it's a start." she admitted. "The only problem with that method though, is how effective is that gonna be in a real fight? Don't think any opponent's gonna be giving you the time of day to meditate to keep your cool." she asked the pair of them.
"Let's be honest here, the Saiyans really know how to push your buttons Atsuko, whether they know it or not. I still think channeling your anger and rage's the best route rather than this calm peace stuff." shrugged the demonic Saiyan hybrid. An idea came to her. "Here, lemme show you my way then, and you can decide yourself. Gonna need some room." With that said, Cambia got to her feet and left the palace portion of the Lookout to stand on the remains of the platform itself, her sword resting on her shoulder as she walked.
Attempting to learn [S1] Ki Sense
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Excalibur listened intently as Cambia began her rebuttal, she gave a nod every now and then as she thought over the analogy. "Hmm... Yes, that sounds about right. However, that does bring us the dilemma; we were expecting her to be a horse rider capable of such things. Essentially just throwing her onto an untamed stallion and expecting results, when we needed to realize that she first needs to know the basics.", the Sacred Sword gave her response. Either way, Atsuko had managed to obtain a refined control of her Super Saiyan state. That was one out of a long list of troubles out of the way.
The younger sister did voice a concern about how effective it would be in a real fight. "Well, I was just learning how to do that... I think in the future, I can more reliably pull off what I'm really capable of as a Super Saiyan.", the Knight admitted to the hybrid. "Now that she has an idea of what to do, I can help her streamline the process as well. If everything has gone according to plan, she'll be able to ascend to a Super Saiyan with the single blink of an eye!"
It was quite the boast, but then again it was already established at the Sacred Sword was quite the prideful individual. Cambia made a fair point, and decided it was time to show off the way that she did things... Although it needed room first, as the little sister began to step out of the Palace, the Albino Saiyan and the woman in the red dress proceeded to follow. "I certainly won't turn down the offer! All the advice I can get can really save lives one day...", the Knight admitted. She learned how to refine her energy, and she wasn't as blinded by her rage.
But if there was a way for her to really control it now that she could stand up to it? That might make things even better! Her enemies wouldn't have such an easy time egging her on into foolish reactions, there was one thing that could definitely be taken away from the previous battle; the Saiyan Prince was able to bring out all of the worst reactions out of the Super Saiyan without even trying. Atsuko felt a little ashamed of how she acted, but... That in itself was a sign of progress. When she thought of him before, she was only angry.
Now she actually has clarity. "I admit, this is rather exciting to me as well! You're a very interesting one, Cambia. I look forward to seeing what art you can create!", though most may not have really cared much about Excalibur's words either way... It was rather high praise coming from the Sacred Sword, she had seen many beings in her time that were capable of great and terrible things. But they decidedly fell onto one extreme or the other. The hybrid broke that mold handily; she was a bit of a wildcard.
While she held a dark power and was more inclined to 'let loose', she also knew how to practice restraint and was trying to offer her own advice to someone who had lost their original purpose. True, that person was her sister. But Excalibur could hardly claim it any less interesting because of that fact! She expected as many great things out of Cambia just as she did out of Atsuko... And yes, if one were to ask her, she would gush on and on about it as she is oft to do. At least one couldn't say that the Sacred Sword lacked passion.
Eccentric as she was, Excalibur really seemed to know more than she let on...
Once they were outside and there was enough room, Cambia took in a slow breath as she took her sword in both hands and then held it to her right hand side. Her legs shifted into an L shaped stance, and her body lowered itself slightly. "You've seen my Hell Wave technique before sis, and I'm guessing Excalibur there has as well." said the demonic Saiyan as she began to slowly charge her energies into the edge of her blade, the sword slowly starting to take on a red glow around itself. "However... that's just normal ki energy. Basically a fancy ki blast that travels down the sword and out towards my target." she informed them, her sister no doubt already familiar with the idea since she used a similar technique herself.
The blonde hybrid narrowed her eyes, gritting her teeth as she let her anger rise. Her memories falling back on those early days, the constant abuse and torment from her peers, from those who were supposed to show comfort but instead gave only disgust. The energy around her sword began to concentrate, slowly starting to engulf more of the blade than just its edge as a dark light began to permeate its surface. "A sword is a weapon, a tool for death and destruction as much as one for protection and the defence of others." said Cambia, a slight snarl to her voice as the anger rose up around her, her own aura starting to take on a fire like aspect around her.
"Anger and rage... they are weapons as well. In the wrong hands they can prove as disastrous to the one using them as much as their enemies." the demonic Saiyan stated, the darkness surrounding her sword deepening till only the middle of the blade could be seen through its energies. "By realising this... you can channel that anger, that rage, into your weapon whether that be your own sword, or your fists, or anything, to give it a focus outside of your mind." Cambia instructed, closing her eyes briefly for a moment before they snapped back open. Her entire body was engulfed in the same fire like aura that had permeated her earlier on that day, and with a swing of her sword an arc of black and red energy screamed out into the sky.
She stood there silent for a moment before turning to look towards Atsuko and Excalibur. "And that ladies, is how to channel your anger, your rage, your hate into something productive. Something definitively potent." she said with a slight smirk to her features. Admittedly this was the first time she had tried out this type of technique and didn't want them to know that just yet... doing so would probably drop her credibility somewhat.
That and she wanted to see if she could trigger this aura again... it felt far more powerful than her demonic side alone... It may not be as powerful as a Super Saiyan, but it was definitely something that she could use. And something she could use at will for that matter... only other time she had felt anywhere near this powerful was when the Red Star had shone in the skies. That level of power she had yet to completely master yet... but it was something that she hoped to achieve now.
Atsuko gives a nod. "I remember it well, our first encounter you actually managed to overpower my technique with it.", the Albino Saiyan admitted. Of course it was under very specific conditions, for one thing, the Knight was under Heavy Weights. For another, Cambia had a ridiculously long charging time for it. "I remember it too, you seem to be quite fond of it.", the Sacred Sword commented. Atsuko could feel it soon after, the hybrid's power was slowly building up. Atsuko listened in silence as Cambia explained that a sword was just a tool, fit to serve out the purpose of death dealing...
Just as much as helping others. Anger was much of the same, the Albino Saiyan didn't entirely agree, but this was Cambia's chance to show her own side of things. The woman in red, however, seem less impressed by the implications. Finally, the half demon unleashed her impressively sized attack, black and red energy arcing through the air and far up into the sky before it finally began to fade from view, either because it dissipated or that it traveled so far that it could no longer be seen from where they stood. The younger sister turned with a smirk.
She stated that was how to use it properly. The Sacred Sword shook her head. "A tool? You deny your sword it's purpose! You're self taught, and not half bad...", Excalibur began her rebuttal as she stepped over to Atsuko. "I want to show you both something.", the woman in red stated, as she then began to meld into the Albino Saiyan. The Knight closed her eyes, and was still for a moment... Then as she opened them, it was clear to see; Excalibur was in control now. She throws her arm out and closes her hand as if grasping something.
A large red sword began to form, it was at least as tall as she was. Perhaps even more so, and yet she wielded it with just one hand. "You both rely on raw power and instinct, and while you have good foundations for controlling your energy... It pales in comparison to someone who really knows how to control it. Allow me to demonstrate.", the Sacred Sword added, and then she raises her huge greatsword overhead, her energy gathers quickly and then almost as if she didn't even care, she swings her blade downwards, a huge wave of golden energy was unleashed.
It was similar to the technique that Atsuko used a few times before... Except this was clearly on a different league, barely putting any time into it, and it held such a massive power. The arc of energy filled the sky, and then it began to slowly fade away. "I need to teach you both how to properly wield your swords, how to best face your inner selves and call out your true energy. To do that... I need a few preparations.", Excalibur continued on. "A Dojo, a new style of Martial Arts... One of my own design~!"
With a smirk, she then begins to reform outside of Atsuko, who was still a little dazed from the experience. The red greatsword begins to vanish. "That was... How did you do that?", the Albino Saiyan asked, which only prompted the woman in red to shrug slightly in response. "It would take too long to explain, and ultimately serve no purpose yet. Needless to say, I intend to teach both of you. You're both poor examples of swordsmen! The fact that either of you have made it this far is surprising, to say the very least!"
Atsuko let out a small sigh. "I guess it can't be helped... I just have to keep trying to improve.", the Albino Saiyan responded. The Sacred Sword gave a nod in response. "Exactly. Neither of you should be happy with how you are, you'll become lazy. That simply won't do, if you two feel content... You need to remember the difference between raw power, and Nasu's skill. Raw potential won't save either of you, and while you may feel like you have everything figured out right now... You're both still young! Hmhm, but I shall see you become Masters of the Sword~!"
The woman in red proceeded to let out a haughty chuckle. Atsuko couldn't help but shake her head once more with a light smile. "Well, I guess that's that, then. Think you're interested in learning from her, Cambia? It might do us both some good.", the Super Saiyan questioned her little sister. Whatever the case was... Atsuko knew that she couldn't afford to just keep slacking off, even if she managed to refine her power as a Super Saiyan, it wouldn't matter if she couldn't keep refining everything about herself. Even with this much... If she fought Nasu right now...
She would lose. And that was unacceptable.
WC: 810 Total WC: 6,074 ____________________ Excalibur demonstrated [ULTIMATE]! ... But neither Atsuko or Cambia can learn it yet.
The demonic Saiyan pouted at the Spirit of Excalibur when she said that the hybrid was denying her sword its purpose. "Well, I could fulfill its purpose and try and kill Kami, but I think that'd be in A) bad form and B) be a bad move for me since Kami can go Super Saiyan on my ass. Speaking of... you gonna turn that off any time soon? It's giving me a headache from the ripples its sending out." asked Cambia before she watched Excalibur take control of Atsuko's body. That gave her quite a few ideas that she may need to go over with the Sword later on... preferably when Atsuko wasn't either in earshot, or when she was asleep.
She was about to debate the point with her, right before her eyes widened at the sheer size and scope of power that Excalibur was suddenly putting out. The blonde hybrid blinked after the attack was fired and Excalibur came out of her sister's body... but quickly got her composure back together when her swordsmanship was insulted. "Oi! I've only had mine a few years, AND I've never once had a lesson in how to use it, and I've managed to hold my own against multiple opponents all at once thank you very much miss ghost of a sword!" Cambia said, vehemently defending herself and her skills. Even if the talking sword was right.
When the offer of training came up however from Excalibur, the demonic Saiyan slowly shook her head. "I want to get stronger yeah, if only so I can give Iron Corset here a run for her money and not need saving so much." she said before looking pointedly at the Spirit herself. "But there's one small tiny itsy bitsy problem with me trying to learn any powers like that from you." she said to the ghost. She pointed at Excalibur, "Holy sword." she said before pointing to herself. "Half-Demon. Specifically, half-Succubus." Cambia said as if it were obvious what the problem was. She let it sit in the air for a moment before deciding to explain it.
"I try to learn any of your holy attacks or whatever the hell that was just there, and guess what? I'll probably wind up burning myself out, probably literally, from the energies of it. Holy stuff and demons don't tend to mix well in my experience." Cambia explained before another reason came to mind. "Plus, you're from those monks right? I really doubt I'd be any good student material with anything those old bastards could teach me."
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Excalibur sighed, shaking her head. "No, that's not what I meant by purpose. You don't see it as anything but an object, a means to an end. You view your powers the same way. If both of you view it like that, you'll never reach the type of potential I just showed you.", the woman in red stated as she placed her hands on her hips. Shortly after that, Cambia asked if Atsuko had any intentions of powering down. The Albino Saiyan perked up slightly in response. "Eh? Oh... Let me take care of that right now.", the Knight calmly replied.
She closed her eyes, and then her power began to drop significantly. Until it would read as a measly "5" on any Scouter, however she was able to maintain her Super Saiyan form despite this, likely because she was able to actually control her energy this time around. Though that had been put to the wayside somewhat, as the conversation turned to the fact that the hybrid was proud of her swordsmanship. The Sacred Sword let out a small laugh. "Anyone can operate a gun, it hardly makes them a master marksman just because they pull off a few lucky shots."
The Sacred Sword made her own analogy and rebuttal. However, the half demon seemed a little less than willing to go through with the training for some idea that holy energy would be destructive to her. The woman in red walked over to Cambia and lightly pressed her finger against the hybrid's forehead. "If it worked like you said, this would be hurting you right now. I'm not some overzealous Monk like all the types you've met before. I can control my energy, and it won't hurt you unless I decide that there's a reason for it to do so."
Excalibur quickly shot that argument down. "As for what I'm from, I'm not man made, if that's what you mean. It's not like I intend to convert you to some new religion, either. These are fighting skills that may save your life one day. But if you really want to put things to the test... You should just try wielding me for a little bit.", the Sacred Sword finished as he then walked back over to Atsuko. Her human form began to turn back into that of the golden sword. The Albino Saiyan then made her way over to Cambia and offered Excalibur to her.
"I guess... She just wants you try out a few of your techniques with her. I can't make you, but she's not going to let it rest until you give it a try.... Trust me, I know from experience.", the Knight explained, there really wasn't any changing Excalibur's mind once she had it set on something. It was both an admirable and an annoying trait at times, but she was far from the worst type of person to put up with, at least. Or at least, that was Atsuko's opinion on the matter. They worked well together.
Now, her younger sister and the Sacred Sword...? That was a different subject altogether. Excalibur had a lot to teach, but it wouldn't get anywhere if the half demon wasn't willing to learn and change accordingly. From experience, the Albino Saiyan knew just how stubborn both of them got. The fact that they weren't at each others' throats yet was something that surprised the Knight a little. It could just be that the hybrid was trying to be respectful for Atsuko's sake, she didn't really know the truth of it either way. Though she did feel that if Cambia hated Excalibur...
She probably would have made it known well before now. "Before you make a decision either way, a few pointers... Excalibur has the tendency to meld her energy with your own. Don't be surprised if the usual color of your techniques change. She also serves out the role of a strategist, she will chime in every now and then with what seems to be the best course of action, I'm telling you this now because it would surprise you the first time and she'd have fun with that. I'd like for you two to get along."
The Albino Saiyan explained as she continued to hold the hilt of the sword to the little sister. "Try to be patient with her, okay? She means well.", the Knight finished. She honestly had no idea how Cambia was going to react to any of this, if Atsuko had to guess, she was expecting Cambia to fervently refuse. There was no real helping it either way, the offer had been extended and if the half demon was just as set in their ways, all the Knight could do was just maintain some semblance of peace between the two. That sounded exhausting.
Like a lot of things ever since she became Guardian of Earth, in fact.
Cambia snarled as Excalibur made light of her abilities. "Five hundred and thirty six people, ranging from trained killers to thugs, twenty three warrior monks and seven priests." the hybrid tallied up. "Over the course of my life, that's how many I've killed with my "lucky shots" as you put it. Care to try again?" snarled the demonic Saiyan, the grip on her blade tightening as Excalibur walked up to her and poked her. Oh how she wanted to just shove her sword so far into that ghost's arse... she blinked in surprise as the Spirit suggested that Cambia try using her.
"Seriously?" she asked, looking to Atsuko as the spirit turned back into the sword and her sister walked up to her offering her the blade. The demonic Saiyan looked down at the ornate blade being offered to her, listening to Atsuko's words of advice concerning the weapon and its spirit. She frowned at the part about melding and chiming in with words now and then. "Alright, quick thing before I take you on." said Cambia, talking to the sword in front of her.
"You do NOT go poking around my skull got it? Already got one bloody annoying voice popping in there whenever she damn well pleases, I don't feel like having some ancient holy sword joining in understood?" asked the demonic Saiyan, grumbling a little. "You can chime in, but no poking around my head screwing with it got it? My memories ain't a pretty sight." The blonde hybrid took in a slow breath, and with her free hand tentatively accepted the hilt of Excalibur from her half-sister. She looked towards her sister. "May wanna take a couple steps back... this could get ugly..." warned Cambia as she took a firm grip of the holy sword, not wanting... whatever happened to affect her older sister.
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
