Soy Training - Part V - Final (Solo/Southern Islands)

The Siege on the Lookout had ended. The saiyans attack wasn’t exactly a success. Most of the defenders of Earth were still alive, and one of the saiyan warriors who joined the fight was killed. Of course the saiyans had the numbers against them. For most of the fight Nasu had been alone and even when all of the saiyans had joined the fight, they were still battling against five Earth defenders. Still, they could have won. At the end of the fight, the saiyans had the upper hand and could easily dispatch of the earthlings, however they had a powerful ace up their sleeves: the dragon balls, and they could be used to resurrect the fallen saiyan.

Normally saiyans wouldn’t care about such things, as they were a warrior race, and fallen comrades were just playing their part in war, but Nasu was softer. He was from the Alliance after all, and the possibility of bringing his brother back made him hesitate and ultimately give up. Athren, the Saiyan Prince, was also softer than most of the Empire’s saiyans, maybe because of the years he spent on Earth. In the end, they retreated, but that moral defeat was still hurting deep inside his heart, where his broken pride laid. Together with that was the pain of losing his last living family, his younger brother who he had sworn to protect. Nasu was knocked out when Komatsu was killed and there was nothing he could have done to stop that, but that didn’t make it any easier; the young saiyan warrior blamed his lack of power and that was making him cry over and over again.

With tears pouring down his face, Nasu arrived on the Southern Islands, where the ruins of the old Saiyan Alliance were. Without saiyan any word, he headed straight into the old training dojo of his father. He was still wearing the same damaged battle suit from the previous battle; Nasu didn’t stop at his cavern on his way to the Southern Islands, he didn’t want to waste any time, as he needed to go back to his home planet. But first, he was going to get the final teachings of the Soy School, so that he could fully master it.

As soon as he got inside the training hall, where the computer was, he started it and the digital ghost of his long deceased father appeared. The ghost smiled and opened its mouth to start speaking, but Nasu raised his hand, ordering it to stop. – I don’t want to talk. You are not my real father, you are dead. I just want to finish this training and go back home. – he said, with a serious but sad look upon his face. Ignoring his request, Natto’s ghost spoke. – What happened, kid?! You don’t seem fine at all! – he said, showing a fatherly concern, another marvel of Kyuri’s program. But that concern only made Nasu angry and that anger made him flare his bright golden aura, making his hair bristle and get spiky, turning golden in an instant, while his eyes became teal. He transformed into a super saiyan and it was far easier than the first time he did that. The digital ghost arched both of his brows in awe. – You’ve become a super saiyan! – he said, to which Nasu responded with a roar. – So you know what kind of things I’ve been through! So shut up and teach me already! I want to leave this planet! – the rage was burning bright inside of his eyes but his father wasn’t going to quarrel with him and, with a nod, the final teachings of the Soy School started.

First of all, Nasu showed all the movements previously learned, showing just how much he had improved. Natto seemed satisfied with that after about one and a half hour of warming up and finally spoke. – Now let me teach you the Final Revenger. The ultimate physical attack of our school. – he said. Nasu stared at the hologram in the eyes. – I like that name… Might be useful later. – and Natto sighed. – It may be… But… Don’t get consumed by vengeance. This made you lose something, didn’t it? – his tone was serious and that made Nasu shut up and lower his head. ”He is… Right…” he had to admit to himself, although it pained him to do so. Without any more words from the young super saiyan, Natto began to guide him into learning the final melee technique of their fighting style.

The Final Revenger was a powerful rush attack, where the user had to punch the foe with a lot of force right at their face and then reverse kick them up into the air to gain momentum. After that, the user had to continue to gather momentum by punching him up again to finally be able to grab the opponent’s head and knee them up, even further into the air. To end this painful combo, the user would use their full speed to fly above the flying opponent and double axe handle punch them down to the ground, dealing severe amounts of damage. As it required quite a lot of strength, speed and precision to be perfected, Nasu had to repeat it quite a few times in order to understand and then master the technique. When he finished, he was feeling rather drained and panting. – That’s it! You did it, Nasu! That’s the Final Revenger! – Natto announced. The super saiyan sighed and reverted back to his base form due to tiredness, but when he thought he would be able to rest, Natto spoke again. – Don’t relax just yet! You need to learn the Ultimate Technique of the Soy School. A Special skill that allows you to tap into the deepest part of your blood and power! – those words surprised the saiyan. – Ultimate technique? – he asked, startled.

– Nasu, I developed this technique using the bonds of blood of the saiyans! Whenever you ride into battle with your comrades, you will be able to enhance your techniques’ power and create a truly devastating attack! – he explained, catching all of Nasu’s attention and interest. – It is called the Spirit of the Saiyans! And with this ace up your sleeve, you can best any opponent, as long as you continue to value your bonds with your comrades and your race! – the digital ghost said, and Nasu nodded in agreement and awe. – What do I need to do? – he asked. – First of all, power up. I know you can become stronger than your normal super saiyan form, you have enough power for that! I want to see you breaking your boundaries! – he said and Nasu, for a second, doubted it, but then he remembered just how much more powerful and bulkier Athren’s super saiyan form was and his father had reached a legendary state, so he knew better than him. – Alright! – he said and, with that in mind, he flared his ghostly-white ki aura, channeling all of his power as he tapped into his inner rage and strength. – AAAAHHHHHH!!!!! – he roared as his aura became bright golden, hair spiky and gold and eyes teal in color. He had become a super saiyan once again. The strains of using that form after being drained was heavy, but he wasn’t going to stop or give up.

– More, Nasu! Concentrate your power! – Natto guided and Nasu followed, charging every ounce of power he had inside of him. That made his body get filled with his ki energy, making him grow slightly bulkier and stronger. He could feel it! He was reaching a state just a little above the normal super saiyan form and the feeling of it was exhilarating! ”T-this power!!” he thought to himself in awe, as he achieved a new step into his transformations.

– That’s it! This is the first tap into ascending to a fully mastered super saiyan! But for now, this is enough! Now… I want you to fully charge your Spirit Cannon! I want you to go beyond the Super version! Reach its final form!!! – Natto ordered. Nasu nodded to his father and cracked an excited grin with the corner of his mouth as he began to charge the powerful blue-colored energy sphere on his right hand. The energy was overflowing and, in no time, the energy sphere grew to the supersize, but he needed to go even further beyond, and charged it even more until it became huge! – Yes! This is just what I wanted! Now, Nasu, think about all of your comrades! Every saiyan that’s important to you and will fight alongside you!! Use that feeling, use that pure energy to increase your power further beyond! Reach the stars, my son!!! And this training and this place for once and for all! – he demanded with a large smile on his face. With those words guiding him, Nasu’s blue-colored energy increased and became teal. Images of Natto, Tomoroko and Komatsu came to his mind and the roar of a mighty Great Ape was heard when the energy sphere reached its peak!

– This is everything I have, father! This is the full extent of my power! Spirit of the Saiyans: Final Spirit Cannon!!!! – he screamed as he fired the attack towards the wall of the underground training facility. The attack hit it and a huge explosion took place there. It was overwhelming and Nasu would most likely die if he didn’t do anything. The hologram of his father was beginning to vanish, but it manages to help his son one last time. – Nasu! Explode all of your inner power! Survive this and evolve! – he demanded, and, with those words, the young super saiyan let all of his power explode around him in a titanic yellow-colored energy wave. – I WILL SURVIVE! FINAL EXPLOSIVE WAVE! – he roared as his body’s energy exploded, allowing him to resist the damage of the previous attack.

The whole place become a destroyed crater on that island, with nothing but scrambles remaining . Nasu was back on his base form, lying on the ground panting heavily and injured. He slowly opened his eyes and saw the dark grey sky: it was raining. With some effort, the young saiyan warrior managed to sit on the ground and, in front of him, protected by a strong black metal case, there was an old book. – Now, what’s that? – he couldn’t help but ask himself. The young saiyan approached slowly, due to both being extremely tired and injured by the explosion, but when he reached the box, it opened easily and he managed to get the old book. – The Soy School teachings… You think about everything, don’t you dad? Heh… But honestly… This feels much more like mom’s idea! Haha… - he said, laughing a bit and then grimacing with the pain. Nasu made some effort to get back on his feet and slowly walked towards the border of the crater he created, sighing deeply. ”Now no one on this planet will be able to learn anything about my father’s school… And it’s about time for me to go back home and get the Alliance back on its tracks!” he thought to himself as he slowly floated upwards. Then, he flared his ghostly-white ki aura, which was faint due to his lack of energy, and flew towards Paprika Wasteland. It wasn’t an easy travel and plenty of times he felt almost like he was going to fall into the ocean or onto the ground, but with his will power he managed to keep on going and reached the cave.

Once there, the young saiyan warrior didn’t land, but plummeted to the ground rolling a couple feet before the wall of the cavern stopped him. He moaned a little bit and took another deep breath, holding the book tightly. His eyes became extremely heavy and little by little his consciousness faded away.

Nasu fell asleep, and this was his last night on Planet Earth.
