The Namekian had been looking in the distance for the entire day, from the incredible heights of the Lookout which were truly able to offer a wonderful sight. But the green man was not there to enjoy some fresh air, he had been feeling something since days but it was a faint feeling and such couldn't really be anything to worry about but it had been growing to a critical point; he couldn't stop sensing it. Nobody else seemed to feel the same but he couldn't ignore it, there was something and it was close.
Arion looked at his typical robes for a brief moment, he was trying to give himself an explanation of such a feeling but he couldn't really understand what was up with him. Atsuko didn't seem to notice it, which was probably for the best, but after all he thought that she had no reason to. She had her own duties and he had his own, and that feeling was nothing but a personal issue. But, he couldn't even tell if it was related to his role as Assistant, it could but he couldn't make any sense out of it.
The Namekian turned and looked at the Lookout for a brief moment. A lot had been happening recently and the place was still recovering but hopefully it wouldn't have taken them long to repair the entire structure but it could have been worse. The Lookout felt just like a house, his new home on a planet which became his new homeworld in a matter of weeks and months. "I wish there would be something that I could do.. but sadly there is only so much I can do as a fighter.." - he thought to himself. He hated to admit it but it was true; he was part of the Dragon Clan. He was not fully trained in the martial arts just like one from the Warrior Caste and he was no good as a fighter, though he knew a few tricks he could pull off and also teach to someone willing to learn.
No surprise he had not come to Earth to become a fighter but to watch over it and perhaps help with the instruction of a few fighters but he was happy with the current situation or at least it seemed like a peaceful day.
Though, the feeling became stronger all of a sudden and there he had realized it was not just a feeling; it was a presence! He glanced upwards and took note of a spacepod about to land on the surface of the planet, the Namekian let his jaw drop slightly and his eyes widen. "W-what?!" - he muttered, he had no idea of who it was but he didn't feel any evil energy.
However, the feeling he had been feeling suddenly had a reason; it was familiar. But it had been a long time since the two had crossed ways but he couldn't forget that presence so easily but he didn't want to look for an answer blindly, he just took off and flew away from the Lookout.
"Yes, yes, yes! I can't believe it!.. I could still be wrong but I seriously hope I am not! But how could I be?! I mean.. it's him! That's for sure!" - he said to himself, he couldn't help but smile to the mere thought of having an old friend back; one he had lost.
The Namekian decided to descend and land down where he had spotted the crashed spacepod, in the forest. Arion cleared his throat lightly and stared at the spacepod blankly, while his senses could be suggesting the mysterious traveler's identity, he couldn't be sure of who it truly was.
The spacepod suddenly unlocked and the mysterious traveler revealed himself; it was a Namekian. He was completely green and around Arion's height but he had a greater muscular mass than the Dragon Clan's.
The stranger wore clothes similar to Arion's, but they were much more suitable to fighting than the Kami Assistant's. Arion looked at the fellow Namekian in actual disbelief but also with happiness, he could still remember those clothes clearly, they were the same Helix wore when he was a child.
"It has been a long time.. Helix." - he said, looking at him with a smirk. Helix glanced at him curiously, he didn't recognize him right away but it didn't take long for him to realize the other Namekian's identity. "A-Arion.. is that you?" - he asked. Helix seemed surprised by his tone of voice, he had not expected to meet him on Earth after all those years. It felt just like a reunion between brothers, they had not seen each other since they were literally children and that day.. they had finally met once again. While they didn't show it, the two couldn't have been happier that day, it felt like meeting a lost brother.
"I hoped for us to meet once more so much, my friend." - he told him, holding that smirk on his face.
"Aye, I can imagine.. I hoped for our ways to cross once more as well. Oh dear, have we grown up since the last time.. I wonder if the Elders would recognize us now.. Hah, what am I saying.. you've probably been there more than me after all." - he said, with a slight sense of humour behind his words.
"I guess, yes.. Helix, where have you been? Nobody ever heard anything about you, not even the Elders could imagine what had happened after you departed." - he asked, he was truly curious to truly know the reality of his whereabouts in the last years, nobody could just disappear like he did back then.
Helix assumed a serious expression, letting out a sigh, he didn't seem to feel comfortable with his question but he was willing to tell him the truth. "Well, it's a long story.. but I can tell you. You remember those guys? Them and everything they told us was nothing more but a fraud. They were some kind of shapeshifting aliens and were looking for slaves to maintain their colonies, I was treated like a beast for years but at the same time I've also trained and all of that helped to strengthen my mind. Though, a week ago or so they were attacked by.. an army of some sorts and I decided to take that chance to escape using a Spacepod. I can't tell if they were planning to come here but I believe so; that spacepod was set to arrive here after all. Now, here I am.. I didn't expect to find you here though. I've come here by chance.. I didn't even know you were here." - he finished his speech there.
It had not been an easy time for him, while he was strong, he could not deal against an entire planet and there were other aliens who could have contained him. Arion listened to the fellow Namekian in disbelief, he couldn't almost believe all of what had happened, it was incredible.
"Really?.. Woah, I could imagine something had happened but not all of that. Well, at least you're free now. So, what are you going to do now?" - he asked out of curiosity.
Helix didn't know what to do himself, he would have loved to check out Namek once more but he had just met his old friend on the blue marble and he couldn't really afford another travel with that Spacepod. The Namekian was about to speak but he suddenly took note of Arion's kanji on his robes. "Ka-mi.. Kami. Did you become.. the God of this planet?" - he asked.
"Uh? Oh, no. No, well.. actually I was sent here for this reason but I am Kami's.. Assistant you might say. I suppose it is not my time, but either way I am happy so. You know.. I was not born here but this planet just feels like Namek; it is peaceful. There are a few conflicts here and there, but they are unavoidable in certain cases. You know.. I'd suggest you to stay here for a bit, at least until you decide to get on Namek. I can offer you a staying, unless Kami minds but I doubt she would." - he told him, offering a reassuring smile.
"That'd be appreciated, my friend. I'll consider it." - he told him, taking a moment to focus on Arion's presence and sensed his power; it had increased since the last time they met. Helix smirked, he was strong himself but he had not expected a Dragon Clan like Arion to be that strong. "Uh.. If you don't mind me asking.. is that your full power?" - he asked, looking at Arion curiously.
Arion quirked a brow and looked at him, offering a nod. "Yes. Yes, it is. Why?" - he asked.
"Well.. you see.. I think you could go further than this. But you weren't probably taught it since you are of the Dragon Clan. It'd be more common among the Warrior Caste, but since you're an Assistant.. I suppose you could use some help with Martial Arts, no?" - he told him.
Arion tilted his head, he had already considered to work up on his physical strength and he had actually been doing that in those days, he had been with Tau in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber as well. "..I like the sound of it. So, how we do?" - he asked in mild interest.
"Deep inside, within ourselves, we have an incredible amount of power to unleash and you have as well. I am sure of it. Try it, do as you'd be powering up." - he told him.
Arion looked at him curiously, offering a nod as he'd try to imagine a burning fire within himself. It was difficult to imagine a power that he had never tried to wield, but he would have loved to give it a try, perhaps it could help him with his duties.. somehow. The Namekian walked away a bit, trying to set a certain distance between the two. The Namekian clenched his fists tightly and grit his teeth, building up a certain tension around himself. It wouldn't take long for a purple aura to appear around him, his muscles tensing and the ground itself lifting up slightly.
Helix looked at Arion and tilted his head, but shortly after he shook his head and interrupted. "No, no. You're just building up your Ki right now. You have to.. think of it as a cage and then you must break those bars and let it out." - he told him, offering a reassuring smile.
Arion stopped there for a moment and narrowed his eyes lightly, he offered a nod to Helix and tried once more. But this time, he focused on his words and attempted to imagine an actual fire in his center. He struggled to keep up with such thought but he managed to feel something burning deep down himself, his muscles tensing even more than before and his aura increasing. But that time he was not building up his Ki, a much more powerful energy was emerging from the green man; even higher than the time he had tried out the Holy Water.
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!" - The Namekian grumbled in the process, his power quickly increasing while Helix watched the entire scene with a smirk on his scene.
Arion's aura disappeared shortly after, the Namekian stopped there and looked at himself in amazement, he couldn't believe there was that kind of power within himself. He had to practice that more and hopefully Helix was willing to help him with that.
"That was incredible.." - he muttered, shifting his gaze at Helix as he looked at him with eyes wide open.
"Aye. Just like I said. Anyway, mind to show me the place for now? We can have a spar later." - he told him. Arion nodded in agreement, offering a smile.
The two took off and flew away. Two brothers had reunited but it was only the beginning.
