The past week had been quite busy for the new Overseer of the Saiyan Alliance. In the aftermath of the battle, Nasu headed towards the council room. There he found two of the remaining new counselors that were still loyal to Etorin. The young super saiyan didn’t even give them time to blab about their nonsense, he quickly eradicated them with a new technique he had developed for dealing with such an annoying bunch of weakling flies: a variant version of his Continuous Energy Bullet, called Rapid Energy Bullet, consisting of firing the massive amount of ki blasts, but capable of fully focusing and aiming at multiple targets: a quite handy skill to have when fighting multiples pieces of rat shit, like Planet Natto seemed to be quite crowded of. The battle – if someone in their right mind would call such an unsided massacre a battle – was quicker than the blink of an eye, and, with that action, Planet Natto was free of most of his counselors: other than Karota, who had been hiding and considered missing in action, the only counselor alive was Miso, who was inside a healing machine right now, recovering from his serious injuries. With the rats eradicated, Nasu, while still maintaining his super saiyan form, headed towards the place Kyuri seemed to be held captive.
Once there, he saw that she was indeed killed. The saiyans there tried to argue with him, saying they were just following orders, but, once again, their action against the original Overseer’s family were unforgiveable and, although Nasu had become quite more merciful than he was before, family was a sensible subject for him, with its ever decreasing numbers, and he completely vaporized them with his Spirit Canon. He didn’t have to use much power to handle the three poor bastards who made their final wrong choice. Once they were gone, he allowed himself to feel sadness and he almost cried when he saw the beheaded body of his maternal grandmother, but, as he approached, he noticed some machinery inside of his body and – upon a closer inspection – he noticed that she had oil dripping from her seemingly dead body, instead of blood, making him realize something quite amazing: ”She turned herself into an android! That makes a hell of sense! Kyuri was never a warrior type and her natural power level was pitiful. With this, she can most definitely become stronger and, on top of that, preserve her life in case she is taken hostage. On top of that, this takes away any strategic advantage of taking her as a hostage, as her body is now disposable and reparable! That’s genius! And… At the same time, it doesn’t surprise! Of course this would be something she would eventually come up with!” he thought to himself, sighing in deep relief. – I’m truly glad you are still… Alive? Anyway… Functional! – he said to himself, unsure on how he should categorize her new state of existence. – Your loss would be a heavy strike to the Alliance, although you like to talk some peaceful bullshit all the time. I will get you fixed, grandma. And this will be a priority. – he said to her body.
Obviously, without a minding like Kyuri behind her restoration, it would take plenty of time, but he was just happy it could be fixed without something as troublesome as gathering the dragon balls. With that being solved, Nasu finally relaxed and decided to head to his old house, on the most privileged spot in the whole Soy Capital. Only when he arrived there he allowed himself to revert to his base form, with his golden hair turning back pitch black, just like his eyes. His body became far less bulky and he felt like he was completely drained. Luckily, he was away from the prying eyes of the population; he couldn’t show weakness, and he also couldn’t show how much stress on his body his enhanced super saiyan transformation caused. ”I need to master my ki output and usage… If I don’t, this form will always drain me after a while, especially when I go above the initial power…” he sighed. He knew the form could be mastered, and he was well aware he was working towards that; now he was capable of suppressing his energy signature, and he knew he was very close to be able to sense energy – he was already getting glimpses of that – but he still needed some time and focus, and right now time was something he didn’t have to spare.
The young overseer of the Alliance allowed himself to sleep for a short while – about four hours or so – and, as soon as he woke up, he put some new set of armor, his red advanced scouter he inherited from his father, Natto, and headed straight towards the medical quarters, were Miso was being taken care of. As soon as he arrived there, Miso was getting out of the healing machine, completely healed. He was still naked and swaying his tail, happy for his own body’s condition. Nasu glared at his tail with some ill-feeling inside of his heart, as he remembered about the shameful episode where that demon girl, Cambia, managed to catch him off-guard for a brief second and powered up far beyond his expectations, successfully chopping off his tail. He knew it would still probably grow soon, but, to be tailless was absolutely irritating. The young overseer gazed away and stared back at his uncle’s face. – I see you recovered, Counselor Miso. – he said in a quite formal tone. Miso grunted with a conceited smirk on his face. His current power level was at little over one hundred thousand, showing it had decreased a little bit, and Nasu took notice of that. – Hey maggot, I mean, Lord Overseer! Hahaha! I can’t get used to that title, brat! – he said with his arrogant tone. Nasu didn’t like it and frowned his brows, showing he wasn’t in the mood for such teases. – Watch your mouth! You are standing in front of your leader! You may be blood, but I won’t be tolerating such behaviors. – he said and he meant it. Miso chuckled a bit and raised both his arms with open palms, in a sign of surrender.
– Alright, alright, Overseer! You do have a point. Hehe… So, what do you want of your not so humble servant? – he asked with a sharp expression. Nasu took a short but deep breath. – First of all, what the heck happened with your power level? It seems slightly lower than before. – he mentioned, and that made Miso’s expression become serious for a second. The comment really hit the older saiyan, but he quickly returned to his natural cocky feature. – Try being tortured and deprived of food for a month, and we can talk about reasons as for the decrease in power level. – he answered, and Nasu grimaced, folding his arms. – Well… I can’t have my General unable to become super saiyan. Will that be a problem, Miso? – he asked straight on. Miso shook his head. – It won’t be, Nasu. I will recover in a few days. You don’t have to worry about that. Is there anything else you want to speak of? Or asking about performance issues was the only thing in schedule? – and, although he was more respectful in his tone, Miso was still Miso, and Nasu didn’t care about that. He was actually glad to see his uncle behaving like usual. – Yes. I want Karota’s coordinates. She is a pain in the ass with her suppression bullshit. I need to reach her and bring her back. We could use her power and experience as counselor once again. – he said, revealing the other reason he came. Miso laughed a bit, and Nasu became irritated again. - Hahahaha! Good luck with that! But… Who knows, maybe with the new scenario she may consider returning. Anyway, I will send the coordinates to your scouter, but prepare for having a rough time, ki… I mean, Lord Overseer almighty! Hehehe! – he finished, and Nasu sighed in annoyance; he knew Karota would be hard to handle, but it was worth the shot.
Karota used to be a Colonel for the Alliance, a rank Nasu intended on letting her keep. On top of that, she was one of the best counselors the Alliance had and an old friend of Natto and Tomoroko. He was still surprised she had a kid with Miso, but that was a good thing in the end. With her back as both Colonel and Counselor, he could also have her teach him the secrets of her Wolf School, a powerful ancient school from Earth. With this new power, he would have another ace up his sleeve and a more versatile combat technique, capable of adapting to even those who, somehow, managed to understand the Soy School and find flaws in it. Nasu aimed to become a complete warrior and he still had a long road ahead of him. ”And… If I remember correctly, that bitch had a power level that went beyond three million… Just like Athren… Even at my most powerful state, I’m almost one million below the two of them… And, even with my martial arts, I would still be at disadvantage in a one on one fight. And those earthling fucks don’t like to have a proper duel… I need to be above them alone… So that with a war party I’m sure to win, when we clash again… And this clash is in my plans! I will take revenge on those motherfuckers soon enough. But first I have an Empire to obliterate from the face of the universe… I might as well destroy that shitty planet… It’s not like it is our original home anyway. Vegeta can’t exist in my universe! The saiyans will be united under only one flag, or dead! There will be no middle ground!”” Nasu thought. The young saiyan may sound rather extreme, but he had a reason: as long as there was a split faction, there would be conflict. His parents wanted peace, and the shortest path towards peace is the total obliteration of the enemy. There couldn’t be any one opposing the Alliance alive.
Nasu flew away from the medical quarters. He knew he would have to wait a little bit for Karota’s coordinates and he knew he wasn’t going to see her today. Instead, he had some plans. The young saiyan headed straight towards the main Training Facility of the planet, the Soy Martial Arts Hall, which was located near the Council Hall. That was the best spot to train and he wanted to start Jie’s training soon. ”I need to see what he is capable of and I can’t waste any time. The latest records I have are that his power level is a little over forty thousand. This makes him the forth strongest of this Planet, only falling behind me, Miso and Karota. I know I can make him a true warrior, with both skill and power. Should he master the Soy School and attain the super saiyan form, he will be really useful to me and to the Alliance. Should he master it and still proves to be loyal, I shall reward him with a seat at the council.” Nasu smiled as he flew towards his destination. ”I can’t waste any time. The more time passes, the stronger my enemies become, and the more leverage we lose. Despite this little civil war of sorts, the Alliance is still doing great. We need to seize such an opportunity.” he thought to himself.
War never changes, and warriors are part of it. Nasu was a leader, but first a warrior, and he had still to prove himself in battle that wasn’t a civil war. And after his attack on the lookout, he finally understood that there was only this much you could accomplish with your power alone. Saiyans were a warrior race composed of ruthless individuals, but they were also quite social among themselves, and a squad was like a family to most of them. Actually, to some, it was even more important than blood, and Nasu wanted to make the most out of it. He wanted his super saiyan squad, and they would be the main war asset of the Alliance. Brick by brick, stone by stone, their power would rise.
This was decided.
