And there it was. Monster. That word had been chasing her around her entire life, and here was one of Atsuko's students, who claimed her sister as a friend calling her that same word. "You have no idea you stuck up little princess!" she roared back. "I have killed people yes, but only because they tried to kill me, or worse, first! We can't all be happy little girls you naive little bitch." snarled Cambia. When the boy tried to intervene, she took a step towards him, the tile beneath her foot cracking just from her mere step on it. "Don't you dare use my baby as an excuse to try and make me calm down! My power is mine, not my babies!"
Then the water girl was speaking some more, defending the Water Spirit claiming she didn't mind having images put into her skull against her will, and making threats against her baby. "My mind is mine... you may feel comfortable letting random spirits mess around inside your skull, changing and altering who you are, what you know, what you remember, but I'm not!" she said, before beginning to charge her power into her sword. "Make one more threat against my baby, and I promise you, they will be the last words you ever say in the living world." the demonic Saiyan snarled before Atsuko made her presence known.
She grumbled under her sister's eye before she slowly exhaled and inhaled, calming herself down although the rage was still there, simmering under the surface. The power she'd been building up dispersed as well. When Atsuko guessed what triggered it, she nodded at the glowing blue ball next to Ayami. "Excalibur may have done it by accident, but that little water bastard did it on purpose, without any warning at all..." she growled. When Atsuko explained who everyone was, she gave a slight snort. "I guessed as much. Princess over there's every inch a miniature you." the younger sister quipped.
Cambia rolled her eyes. "I'll try, but if they start it, I'm finishing it." she said, before her eyes flashed in rage. "And if that pet of hers goes into my head again without my permission, I will destroy it, no hesitations. Regardless of how she feels." she promised before sighing and looking at the sword at her side. "Anyway, back on track... I actually need to borrow Excalibur for a bit... need to check if its just one baby... or more." requested Cambia, looking at the sword. "...Can you please help me Excalibur?" she said, knowing that the Spirit of the Sword was no doubt enjoying this.
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
She was so angry that almost everything around her didn't even register, Atsuko arriving, and all of Cambia's retorts were never even noticed by this furious elemi, but somehow Chris managed to get through, perhaps standing in her way did it. But regardless, she had nothing good to say regarding everything. "Why does it matter?! I'm just a destroyer! That's all I'll ever be destined for!! Does that girl really think she can do whatever she pleases and justify it because of paranoia?! I just want to protect those I care about!" She protested quite loudly, she just couldn't understand why it had come to this.
Finally she began noticing her surroundings more, her face turning cold as she saw Atsuko...Someone she looked up to, what would she think of all of this? The Elemi feared she would resent her for her outburst against Atsuko's sister, she feared she would be run off by all of them out of fear of her power, even knowing what Atsuko herself was capable of, the difference was that Atsuko had control, everyone around her knew she wouldn't lose it...Even if she did once, it was different now. Ayami didn't have that excuse, she knew as such, she slowly let fear and anger grow even more.
"No one understands what I am...! I tried to hide it, because all those villagers feared me! And now it's coming back to this situation too! I'm not meant for friendship...But her!! She thinks just because I'm sheltered that I'm naive!! I know exactly what it's like to have fears! I've gone through being shunned too!" She recounted how everyone save for her Father in that little village had feared her...And she let it out. "I never got to be a normal child!! They wouldn't let me play with their kids! They thought I was some kind of freak!"
She grabbed onto Chris's shirt, staring him in the eyes. "Do I look like a freak?!" She let go of him, turning away from him, but in all of her emotion, she finally saw it she saw that newcomer, Galen, taking the blast she had already assumed to have wiped out part of the Lookout. She saw him take damage from it, however little it was, and her eyes widened as she dropped to her knees, staring at what she had done to him. "N...No, no, no, no...No! I...I didn't want to hurt anyone!! I didn't mean to do it! Please...! I'm not a monster! I'm not...!" Ayami covered her eyes and began to sob, she was afraid that she had hurt that man far worse than what she actually had. She was afraid now no matter what she said that they really would push her away, she was a danger...That's what she thought. "They were right...I can't be allowed to interact with people! Th...This is what happens!!" She began to sprint off, sprinting away in fear, in sadness, just what would they think of her now...? Especially if there was no one to stop her from leaving.
He knew how Ayami could feel, it was the same way he had felt when had ran from the Majin. Satisdee, he had not been able to do anything to help any of them. He had felt completely devastated when it happened. As if it was his fault. He had felt that if he had just let himself die the countless innocents wouldn't have had to die. That was his fault back than and he wasn't going to let one of his best friends suffer the same way. He looked right into those blue eyes of her when she spoke at first. "You are not a destroyer..you are my best friend besides Gouken. You know what I say, screw destiny! It's not in charge of who you want to be because no matter what destiny says your my best friend!" Chris would say with emotion to his voice as he spoke to her.
That was as he notice her reaction to finally noticing everyone here. Their mentor who he was glad to have came. He was glad for the help. He knew that Cambia had been rather close to blasting his head off and with a nod towards her he turned to Ayami and noticed the look of fear on her face. She didn't think that Atsuko was going to be mad at her did she? No she knew Atsuko wouldn't but he had to hope she didn't see it that way. As he turned back towards her she began to speak again.
"Ayami...I understand you. I grew up for the fifteen years of my life kept away from any other kids. I was so alone but yet we had neighbors. They never came to visit always to say things behind my back of how I don't belong and that my parents should have just kicked me out. Luckily they didn't but I couldn't go anywhere without hearing those comments about my tail. After the Saiyan invasion it only got worse. They had threatened me before and I had to fight back. I had to teach my self martial arts all on my own. You arn't Naive. If your naive than so am I. I know fears as well and I live with one each day. I know everything your telling me right now because I went through it as well. Even was called a freak myself..." Chris would have said as she than tugged at his shirt.
"You are not a freak....no matter what else anyone think and if they think your a freak than I'm a freak too....no I don't think you look like a freak because I think you look like my best friend." Chris would say as she let go and start screaming no. When he turned around he saw why as Galen seemed to have taken the whole blast of her attack. When he turned back after hearing her call herself a monster he saw her sprinting away. He ignored whatever anyone else was saying and ran off after her. When he got nearer to her he attempted to grab her in a hug. "It's okay Ayami..your not a monster. I've hurt people before and I know it hurts but you are not a monster. We both got a rage within us, I found my darkness during training with master Atsuko. No matter what though I won't let you face it alone. I'm with you and I'm here to help you...that what best friend do right?"
The Knight listened to Cambia's next words... And looked visibly displeased by them. "You're not going to harm anyone. This isn't like your past, you don't just cut people down because they do something you don't like! You want to know why you had such a bad childhood? It's because Demons do things exactly like that. You fuel that hatred, you make it warranted.", the Saiyan began to lecture her. "If someone does something that you don't like, talk to me about it! It's getting to the point where I can't trust you, you're willing to go into your full power and take anyone's head off!"
The Albino Saiyan paused momentarily. "Even when I tell you not to do it. And yes, I'm aware that you said you would merely 'finish it'. But you'll do so over anything that you perceive as some wrongdoing! Cambia, I'm going to say it one last time! No one here on the Lookout is here to harm you! Or your child! If you should be worried about anyone, be worried about Athren and Ro'Salinth! Both have their reasons for wanting to get at you!", the Saiyan finished her reprimanding, and lets out a sigh.
All the same, the half Saiyan asked for help... The golden sword began to glow, and the woman in red formed once more. "I will, but only if you promise to behave. This is getting out of hand, Cambia... You almost saw me as your enemy because of what happened by mere accident. It's not like every person you meet is going to know about your past and what you've gone through.", the Sacred Sword attempted a more gentle persuasion. "It's as she said... This isn't your past, anyone here would be willing to help you, but not if you're going to cleave them in half for their efforts."
Excalibur began. "Or if you threaten to harm those they care about. So I want to hear you say it, that we're not your enemies and you need our help... And then I want to see you reflect that in your actions from here on out.", the woman in red finished her part of the bargaining. Atsuko turned her attention to notice that Ayami wanted to run off, but was thankfully stopped by Christopher. That brought a measure of relief to her... The Knight closed her eyes, intending to send a telepathic message to her.
"It's alright, Ayami... You're not a monster. I'm not mad at you.", with her message sent, she then turns her gaze to Galen. He held a very interesting power... Able to control it at will, given the fact that he apologized and then lowered his power significantly. "It's alright, actually, the fact that you were able to stop an attack of that magnitude... That was rather impressive!", she responded. Then thinking over what he said about being glad to help if he needed anything. "Hmm, I think the situation is mostly under control now. But if you would like, perhaps we can speak once things have settled down entirely."
The Albino Saiyan replied, and then turned her gaze back to Cambia. Both she and Excalibur were awaiting an answer.
The blue-haired girl seemed to be losing it, claiming to be a destroyer destined to do just that, but that she also just wanted to protect those she cared, a goal Galen could most definitely sympathize with, despite the fact that he wanted to protect, if he cared about a person or not wasn’t going to change the simple fact that he was a protector and a warrior seeking justice and charity. Then she continued to say that no one understood what she was and that some villagers feared her. That made Galen arch both his brows, as he was reminded of how cruel some people could be regarding things they didn’t fully comprehend. ”I remember that more than once I was there to help defeating a villain, only to realize it wasn’t truly a villain. Humans can be cruel sometimes… Fear sometimes gets the best of us…” he thought to himself, sighing, feeling a little sad for his own people’s limits and flaws.
Then, she grabbed Christopher, almost like she was desperate, asking him if she was a freak, then she lost it a tad bit more when she noticed that Galen was a little bit injured by her previous attack, making the human swordsman a little bit more surprised with her caring about his well-being. The girl dropped to her knees saying she wasn’t any sort of monster and then she finally ended her speech claiming to be unable to interacting with other people. ”Wow! This is escalating quickly! I need to do something about it!” he thought to himself, staring at the girl. Christopher, however, was quick to respond to her words, saying she was his best friend other than a guy named Gouken, whom Galen had never heard about. Then he started to share a little bit of his childhood, and Galen just listened carefully and curious; it was always good to get to know people better. Helped understanding them.
He too had been discriminated for being different and that was just sad. Galen sighed again. Then, when she was about to run, Christopher sprint after her and so did Galen, without a second of delay. The saiyan boy hugged her and spoke nice things to her, trying to make her feel better. He told her about the rage they had inside of them, and that made Galen smile subtly, as he was getting rather emotional with that display of love between friends. Once Christopher stopped talking, it was Galen’s turn, and he gently touched her shoulder. – I’m fine, really. You didn’t hurt me. What hurts me is to see you being so hard on yourself. See… I know we don’t know each other yet, but… I apologize, for my people, for humanity. We are not a strong race and we are prejudiced and unfair with things we don’t understand. You are, by no means, a monster. All I see here is a scared but gentle girl, with goodness inside of her. – Galen’s tone was kind and gentle, just like the look on his face. – Please, don’t allow yourself to have such thoughts… Don’t allow people to define you. Only you can define yourself and, once you gain confidence in the good person you truly are on the inside, other people will begin to see. Help us, humans, to understand and learn that different doesn’t mean bad. – he finished by saying that and pushing his hand off her. Then, the new blond-girl came and reassured the blue-haired one she wasn’t a monster. After that, she turned to Galen, who stared back at her with curiosity in his black eyes.
She complimented his ability to stop that attack and that made him blush a little bit, scratching the back of his head. – I’ve just recently managed to control my inner power, thanks to a spar with Christopher. Hehehe. – he said, laughing out of embarrassment. – I’m Galen, by the way, just a traveling swordsman from the East. – the young human swordsman introduced himself briefly. – And you are…? – he asked, still oblivious to the fact that she was exactly the person he had been looking for the past years.
Cambia snarled at Atsuko as she lectured her about her upbringing, sharply closing her eyes and going through her breathing exercises before she could lose it again. "I know you think this place is a sanctuary Atsuko, and that you can trust everyone that comes up here to not do something... but I know my mother. She can hide in the corner of someone's mind without them knowing she's there until she wants them to do something." the blonde hybrid slowly explained, working on her breathing to keep herself calm.
"That's why I don't like people going into my head without permission... I'm not as trusting as you sis. Especially when the thing going into my head gave a reason for why it was hanging around Ayami that was almost word for word how my mother would phrase such a reason." said the demonic Saiyan, taking in a few more breaths, a hand going over her belly unconsciously. "Athren I can handle. He's flesh and blood... my mother though is shadow and whispers. When she wants something, she figures out a way to get it... like she did with our father and me." Cambia said looking at Atsuko in the eyes before closing her own and sighing.
"I promise though not to hurt anyone here... outside of sparring." the demonic Saiyan said before looking towards Ayami. She then made her way towards her, and whilst her full hidden power was now dropped, she began to twist and shift her appearance into her demonic heritage. "Okay, time for girl to girl talk." she said, making a shoo shoo motion towards the blokes that were around the blue haired girl. She knelt down in front of her and tried to tilt her head towards her face gently. "Ayami... I'm sorry." the demonic Saiyan began to say. "It's a little harder for me to trust people than you can by the looks of things... and I hear ya on the whole "freak" thing. I looked like this," she said pointing to the darkened veins visible in her flesh, her pointed ears, elongated canines and snake like pupils, "since I was a baby until I was eight. You at least look pretty normal by comparison."
She let Ayami have that set in for a while. "Now, I'm not going to go into the whole, "who had the worse childhood" game, mainly cus I'd win but that's beside the point." said Cambia, a little smirk showing to try and cheer the girl up. "But, part of the reason I find it hard to trust people easily... is mainly cus of my mother. She's a literal demon from the pits of hell who can sneak her way into peoples minds and get them to do what she wants. So, you can imagine what that's like, having that looming over your shoulder." explained Cambia. "The only reason I exist, is because she wanted to establish a power base, with me as one of her stepping stones."
Cambia then reached out towards one of Ayami's hands, and tried to pull it towards her belly where the baby was growing. "And she knows I have a baby growing... one who'll be born of a Saiyan who achieved a terrifying power, and me. That's why I'm... paranoid right now. Even more so when you suggested I could be having twins. One baby scares me enough with that going on... but two?" the demonic Saiyan asked the Elemi girl. She shot a look at Wata. "The glowing ball of yours didn't help matters much... but, I'm sorry I upset you and... I'm sorry I tried to obliterate your friend. I just take a while to trust people I've never met before... even if they are Kami's, my sister's students." the blonde hybrid said before standing up and offering her hand to the girl to help her to her feet.
"So... what I'm crappily trying to say is I'm sorry. And I've probably done this whole apology thing entirely wrong somewhere during this whole speech. So, sorry about that as well." said Cambia.
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
She was stopped in her tracks as Chris grabbed onto her, not because she didn't fight back, but because she honestly couldn't. She was too upset, too afraid. If she fought back...She could hurt him too, that's what she thought, she heard him speak about how he faced people being afraid of him too, her eyes widened as he spoke. He had such a similar situation...Yet perhaps it was best she didn't mention why they feared her...No, she decided to keep that to herself. She had caused so much trouble for everyone, and despite the protests of how it was fine, she couldn't entirely believe that.
"Best...Friend? You...You mean that??" It was those words alone that caused a reaction out of her. The raging waters surrounding her calmed just by a small amount, it was hard to notice, but it had happened. She could think of so little to say in response to him, but she didn't exactly want to push him away, not when he showed kindness like this. She tried her best to say what she thought was right, but it wasn't easy with so many emotions running wild. "You've hurt people too...And so did Atsuko, but...It's different, you both had your reasons, I just hurt him because...I let my emotions get in the way." She didn't exactly want to argue with him, but that was how she felt on that subject, she wasn't going to lie to him or anyone else.
And then came Atsuko's words. Delivered briefly to her mind, she gasped at the sound of it, but...It brought some comfort to her. The waters around her eased up just a little more. It seemed all of these words, whether she argued against them or not, they were making a difference. She started to realize that they weren't afraid of her...Why? She had tried to destroy part of the lookout, she hurt that poor man who only wanted to help. And speaking of him...
She looked up at him as he approached, she looked a little afraid, not of him, but of how she had put him in danger, of how he might himself be afraid or angry...But he spoke up to her, she heard all of what he said, how he appologized for his race's actions, and then came the words she needed to hear most - that he wasn't hurt. A measure of relief flooded over her as she realized that he wasn't...And what's more, he wasn't angry, or afraid. "Gentle...Y-You think I'm good? After all of that...?" She smiled a little, and the waters had almost completely calmed. It seemed she was starting to calm down.
And finally came Cambia, when she crouched down in front of Ayami, she let out a small gasp, not because she was afraid of how she looked, it was indeed surprising, but it wasn't what made her let out a gasp, no. She was afraid of Cambia's rage, of how she might still be upset. But she heard Cambia speak. As Cambia said all of those things, she felt Cambia's stomach as her hand was brought to it, it felt warm...Not like something bad, she sounded rough around the edges...But Ayami knew she meant it, maybe she really was naive like Cambia had said, but between the choice of believing her apology or not, the Elemi chose to believe it. She gave a small nod, and accepted Cambia's help up. After wiping the tears from her eyes, and letting the waters subside, she spoke up.
"I'm...Sorry too. I'm sorry for calling you a monster...I wish I could prove that I didn't mean it, but I can only really apologize for saying it, I let my emotions push me too far, and...I almost ruined the lookout because of it, I hurt you too, because of that. And I...Didn't mean to worry you about your baby, I don't know if you can believe me on that, b-but I wouldn't hurt a baby, I promise!" She smiled a little more before speaking up again. "And while...I'll always fight to protect someone I care about, I...Don't know if I would have it in me to actually hurt anyone if I had to." She looked at the floor before looking back up to Cambia. "Still...If you do trust me, I just want to say...You can trust him." She glanced at the water spirit before returning her gaze to Cambia.
"He was being attacked by strange dark creatures when I found him, he was near death and no amount of trickery could have hidden that from my eyes. So...If you want to know whether or not to believe him...I think maybe you can relax around him." She smiled silently for a moment...And then pulled Cambia into a hug. "I'm so sorry for doubting you~!" Ayami giggled happily and softly, she was glad for things to be mended this way, and it seemed she had finally calmed down. It seemed the entire situation had been difused, come ti think of it. These two...They were opposites, but ultimately, the Elemi had to wonder if emotionally they were really so different at all. She felt doubts on that, one was a little rough, had trouble trusting, the other was happy, emotional, always chose to trust first, regret later, but at the end of the day...They both had people they wanted to protect, they both had strong emotions, and it was hard for the two to keep them down.

Chris only continued with the warmth of his own smile as he felt Ayami not push him away. It meant to him that she was willing to listen to his words. He was honestly just happy that she wasn't running away anymore. He knew that everyone here had their own moments before where they couldn't stop their own emotions from taking control and accidentally hurting someone they care about or someone who just didn't deserve such pain. Like those raiders who had attacked him, he never wanted to kill them but once his rage came out he couldn't hold it back and the next thing he knew he was standing over one body and two piles of red ash.
That was when she asked if he truly meant about her being one of his best friends. He couldn't find any other answer to say to her except one... "Of course! Why wouldn't you be. I truly do mean it that you are one of my best friends. I wouldn't dare ever say anything different. Chris would say with such sincere words that anyone would find a hard time seeing if he would be lying, which he wasn't. Those words he spoke to her were what was truly coming to him from his heart. That was the way his heart had told him to say to her and was what he followed.
She mentioned though how they had reasons to kill, but in all honesty there was no true reason to kill. "I never wanted to kill the three I did. I only killed them because of losing control of my emotions. That is not real reason to kill. Atleast to me it isn't." Chris would say as he let go of her so that she could move once more. He was happy that he had done so as well as he began listening to what the others would say and for some reason this almost destructive fight had became a peaceful chat about how everyone truly felt on the inside and that was what really made him smile that everyone was contributing so much to help just one person. That was what made him happy.
He looked toward everyone and muttered only a small thanks for their help to support Ayami. Even Cambia. They may have had their differences in the beginning but they all had their own problem that they would need to fix but that was just another story wasn't it.
The Albino Saiyan heard her little sister out, who seemed to be more than a little angry at the lecture she just received, but was trying to keep her anger in check. "Blindly treating everyone like they are your enemy doesn't do you many favors. It's just going to make more enemies. You're acting on mere suspicion and using that as an excuse to attack anyone. I know what your reasons are, but it's not enough.", the Knight responded, then hearing out what Cambia had to say next, pointing out that she wasn't as trusting. That much was very obvious.
"If I've learned even a little about her, it's that she doesn't need anyone to get at you. She had enough of a presence in your mind to react to Excalibur. If there's something she wants to know; she already knows it. Sending someone to do her work for her doesn't do her any favors.", the Knight explained, then calmly crosses her arms. "What's more... You need to realize the potential strength in Telepathy. Say something does happen, you'd be able to contact me, or Ayami, or anyone else. Telepathy doesn't mean Mind Reading, either. They're very distinct from each other."
That was something that the Saiyan found out during her studies. Telepathy only allowed you to communicate mentally with others, the way it worked was by only allowing you to 'hear' surface thoughts. Whatever the individual was currently thinking about, in other words... So really, the best mental block in that situation was to just not think about what you didn't want them to know. Cambia needed to learn the difference, one of these days... Hell, she needed a lot more patience, and her skill with that sword of hers... Well, it was hardly what could be called skill.
The day where they would need to train together was coming soon, and if Cambia really wanted to protect her child, maybe it would teach her some patience. Acting as she did just before the Knight's arrival was only making things much worse, there was going to be a point in time where someone would be particularly vengeful about her actions and take revenge. Most everyone here on the Lookout didn't seem the type to do that, but the half Saiyan really knew how to push people's buttons at times... Still, at least she was trying to make up with Ayami now.
Atsuko couldn't help but smile a little bit at how easily the Water Elemi forgave her, and pulled Cambia into a hug soon after. "See? She's a nice girl. The reason why I said no one here on the Lookout is out to harm you... It's because, short of our new guest, they're all people I've met and trained with personally.", the Saiyan explained. Finally she turns her gaze to Galen, who began to point out that he was fine, and even offered some of his own attempts to comfort Ayami. After that however, he pointed out that he only recently learned to control that power of his.
After a spar with Christopher, at that... Hmm, interesting. He then formally introduced himself, then asking the Saiyan's name. "I'm Kami Atsuko Inoue, the current Guardian of Earth... However, there's no need to address me formally, you can simply refer to me by my name.", the Albino Saiyan introduced herself to Galen with a small bow. "I'm guessing that you've been on quite the journey, trying to find the Lookout and the Guardian that lives there... Most people come here for the same reasons.", the Knight added as she assumed proper posture once more.
"Well, now that things appear to be settling down, I don't see any harm in discussing your reasons for coming here in greater detail.", Atsuko then stated. People ended up coming here for more than to just meet the Guardian of Earth, in fact, most everyone came here for training, or for some sort of boon. There would likely be even more people just like that in the future, the Saiyan was a little excited at such a prospect, but that did raise a certain issue; she needed to be careful in how she handled such matters.
People needed to be worthy in order to acquire what they sought...
After a considerable talk with the blondie in armor, the other blondie in red came to the blue-haired girl she called Ayami and said she was sorry, much to Galen’s surprise. ”What a change of heart!” he thought to himself, impressed, since just seconds ago they were going at each other barking and biting. The girl in red explained that it was hard for her to trust and Galen thought it was just sad she felt that way, feeling really sorry for Cambia. ”Another one with a rough life… This planet is a paradise, but it really could use some improvements, especially in regards to people’s attitude. It’s a shame us, humans, are so prejudiced against whatever is different. I hope I can one day help changing this world to make it better for everyone. A place where it doesn’t matter what you are, but only who you are!” he mused, with a faint smile on his face.
Ayami responded to Galen’s words asking if he thought she was good and he was quick to nod, giggling a bit as he widened his smile. – I do. You were in a very emotional moment. It’s normal to burst into such spurs of rage. It doesn’t make you a bad person at all, miss. And I reassure you that I’m perfectly fine! – Galen answered in his gentle and kind tone. Following that, the girl turned her attention to the girl in red, not only accepted the apologizes, but also said she was sorry too for calling her a monster. The two would keep on talking for a bit more, with Christopher joining the chat for a bit, but Galen’s attention turned to Atsuko, when she finally introduced herself as… Kami!
Galen couldn’t even believe his ears when she said that, arching his brows and widening his eyes as much as he could, completely startled by that revelation. ”K-kami?! T-this girl is… Kami?!” he gulped, feeling speechless. She continued to speak, saying he had been in quite a journey trying to find the Lookout and the Guardian of Earth. Then, even though she said that he didn’t have to speak to her formally, Galen got down to his knees in an absolutely respectful bow. In a quick motion, he took his scabbard with his sword from his back and stretched his hands, like he was offering it to Kami in a figurative manner. – Sorry, Kami! I was expecting someone… Older… But… I’ve been searching for you for the past years, in a journey across the world, trying to find this holy place. I kowtow to you and I offer you my sword and my life in servitude, so that I may aid you with all my heart and soul to protect this beautiful world of ours! – he said in a respectful but also nervous tone. A drop of cold sweat ran down his temples and he gulped before continuing. – I ask for nothing in return. I just want to help this world and honor the memory of my parents and my fellow villagers who died due to my lack of skill and power to protect them. – he said with some grief in his tone, unable to stare Atsuko in the eyes, but he was being absolutely sincere.
"Gah!" exclaimed Cambia as the blue haired girl suddenly decided to hug her. "Great, she's a hugger... ya coulda warned me about that!" she called over to her sister, rolling her eyes as she then tried to squirm her way free of the happy girls grasp. "Alright, I think that's enough hugging... You can let go any time now..." the demonic Saiyan suggested to Ayami, before she burst into laughter at the new guys reaction and proclamation towards Atsuko. "Oh wow... I think Berneal's got some competition going on now eh sis?" she crowed, a smirk plastered across her face as she drank in the sight before her.
Once Cambia had managed to get herself free of Ayami's hug, she'd brush herself off a little before heading back inside. "Anyone needs me, I'll be raiding the kitchen, specifically the fridge. You guys have fun with this development." the demonic blonde Saiyan hybrid declared, wondering how this Kami follower was going to react to the whole demonic sister thing that his God had going on. As much as she would love to stick around and watch that fallout, she did feel a hunger for something cold and creamy... there may still be some ice cream and cake leftover in the freezer and fridge respectively. Assuming Atsuko hadn't eaten it already.
Attempting to leave thread, would like PL please :3
This world curses me because of my blood, then I shall curse and plague it in turn!
Ayami giggled in delight, holding Cambia for just a little longer despite her protests. "You're nice and warm~" She stated, finally releasing Cambia from her grasp, something the half-demon would likely have been glad of. Though she watched on as Cambia laughed and made the comment that she did, but Ayami spoke up before Atsuko could chime in on that. "But Atsuko and Bernael are madly in love with eachother~, they couldn't possibly go for anyone elseee~" She held her hands to her face, blushing at the romance of it all, toning out any possible objections from the saiyaness through this.
She giggled as she imagined the two, the demon boy and the saiyaness, it was a couple she supported quite a lot! She sat there almost in a trance-like state for a few moments, her face still blushing slightly red in excitement. She then spoke up before Cambia could leave to enter the palace. "But perhaps this man would be perfect for youuu~?" She teased very slightly, while it probably wasn't very sociably acceptable to tell a random stranger he could crush on someone, Cambia did something similar, so the Elemi saw no issue in doing so as well, she may have had a hint of seriousness behind her teasings.
But she soon shook off her romance obsessed state, turning to look at Chris. She understood his words, and she smiled at him, she could tell he was sincere, and while she may not have seen what he had to do against those bandits in the same way he did, she still understood. She went over and he too received a warm hug from the Elemi. She held it for a moment, he was there for her when she needed it, and she appreciated that friendship, the kindness that all of them showed to her surprisingly. She held it for just a moment longer to show how much she appreciated it, and then let go of him, letting him free.
She then set her sights on Galen, she didn't know him, but yet he still said those kind things to her, their familiarity didn't matter, she still approached him for a hug too, provided he didn't avoid it, she gave him a hug that - while not quite as lengthy as the first one, still showed her appreciation and warm friendliness. "Thank you. It means so much to me that you would care like you have." She eventually released the hug after giving him a pat on the back.
Finally it was Atsuko, she had to show her just as much appreciation as the others, even though her words to the Elemi were brief, there was still the fact that she calmed Cambia. That was enough to appreciate in itself, as Ayami was only one half of the boiling situation. She ran over and almost tackled her in a hug! Wrapping her arms around her and giggling. "Thank yooouuu~. You helped so much!" THis hug was brief, but it showed as much sincerity as the others did. She gave a bow to Atsuko before heading off for the palace. "I need a nap~...That shot made me really tired~..." She laughed a bit and headed off completely.
Chris smiled warmly as everything finally seemed to be coming to an end. He was just happy to see how much they all still held in their friendships for each other despite the fight that had just about ensued. It was calming to see that some fights could still be avoided by just a peaceful talk. Was it bad that he was happy for this kind of thing? Everything he had heard about his heritage was that they were meant to be merciless killer but yet he still couldn't help but feel astranged as to why he was so different. He dislike fighting of any kind except when it was just for fun between good friends. He didn't know why but it was just something he found ensured.
That was when Chris felt the hug once more of Ayami and unprepaired as he was for it he felt a slight blush upon his face. He knew that at the angle that Ayami wouldn't see it but he just hoped that Galen and Atsuko didn't see it. Kai's the teasings he would suffer for the many weeks to come. He couldn't help but try his best to let the blush disapear and lucky as the Lady Luck had him it disappeared as soon as she released his grip on him. He really hoped the others hadn't seen that blush though. That in all honesty could be quite embarrassing to say the least of standards.
As he noticed that everyone was starting to leave and that it was coming down to just him, Galen, and his mentor he knew that Galen had been wanting to meet the Kami as much as he had. It would be best to give them the privacy they wanted. "I'm going to head back to training. It was nice having this chat with all of you. I want to get stronger though before my sister comes back though so I can show her how much I've improved." Chris would say as he began to charge up his weighted ki and ran to the edge of the platform as he began to fly off the lookout heading to who knows where. He really was trying his best to truly reach his limits

Galen proceeded to bow respectfully and even offer his sword in a figurative manner to her, before apologizing for his behavior earlier. Atsuko lets out a small laugh at his words. "Older? I suppose that's a fair assumption... Truth be told, I've only recently taken over as the Guardian of Earth. The previous Guardian of Earth led me here... Although it's difficult for me to tell if he was still alive, or if that was just something he left in preparation.", the Knight would respond in a calm tone of voice. Galen pledged himself in servitude to the Albino Saiyan...
However, there was little need for that. "You don't need to see me as a Lord, or a Monarch that you swear fealty to. Though I have a Throne, and my domain is Earth... I do not consider myself it's Ruler.", the Saiyan would then explain. "However... I know how harsh failure must feel, and I won't refuse anyone that wishes to defend Earth and it's people. That being said... If you want training, I would be able to give you that. If you also desire, I would be able to offer another boon to you as well...", the Albino Saiyan stated.
The Sacred Holy Water, if he didn't want personal training, then that was a way to help him improve. "I would be able to train you in the ways of the sword, although... If you have already trained within a style, I won't be able to help you expand upon it. I will leave that decision in your hands; but I do have the Sacred Holy Water. It will purify you of darkness in your heart, as well as strengthen your already notable power.", the Knight elaborated for him, after that, she noticed that everyone seemed to be leaving at the moment.
...Although Ayami gave a hug before she left. Atsuko couldn't help but smile at that, the Water Elemi then mentioned needing a nap after that. "Haha... Rest well, Ayami.", the Saiyan responded. After that, she heard Christopher's words about wanting to get back to training, he already had a set of Heavy Weights... That was rather impressive, just like that, he was off. That left herself and Galen for the moment. The Albino Saiyan would focus on Galen as she grew thoughtful for a moment. "Well, it seems that everyone has business to take care of."
The Saiyan commented. "Why don't you take a moment to get settled into the Timeless Lookout? It will also give you time to decide on everything that you want, we'll be able to talk more once you're ready! If you need to know where the Guest Quarters are... I'll show you the way.", Atsuko then stated, then walking into the Palace at a calm rate, where she would then lead Galen to a room that he could use in order to rest. Thankfully, the Lookout was a large place that could accommodate many people. Not everyone stayed here all the time, either.
True to her word however, it may be better for them to speak further later...
WC: 517 Total WC: 2,285 _______________ Leaving the thread on my part, unless Galen needs anything else! I'll take PL.
Since Galen didn’t know this Bernael guy and was too focused on the fact that he was finally meeting Kami, he didn’t even pay attention to Cambia’s words. Atsuko said that it was fair for him to think Kami would be older and revealed that she wasn’t Kami for a very long time, saying the previous Kami was the one that guided her to this position. Galen nodded, signing that he understood, but he remained kneeled in respect. Kami said that he didn’t need to see her as a lord or anything like that as she didn’t consider herself any of it and then she said that she wouldn’t refuse anyone who wished to protect the Earth and that made his smile to widen. She said that she would be able to train him and help him grow stronger and he nodded. – Thank you, Kami! – he said respectfully. She claimed she could teach him the ways of the sword, but if he already had his personal style, there was little she could do and he nodded.
– I thank you again for such an honor, but I’m a student of the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School. I’m still a beginner doing my best, but once again thank you for offering me training! – he said and the Atsuko continued, explaining about the Sacred Holy Water, which greatly impressed him. – Wow! To think such thing exists… It’s… Overwhelming… I… - but before he could answer, the blue-haired girl named Ayami hugged him out of nowhere, making him blush a lot in embarrassment. Galen gulped and stared at the girl who was thanking him. – Ha… Haha! You d-don’t have to thank me… I… I would do that for a-anyone! – he admitted, in a rather embarrassed tone. Then, he stared back at Kami, as the blue-haired girl left to take a nap.
– Kami… I don’t know if I’m worthy of your time and the gift of the Sacred Holy Water. I try to be fair and uphold justice… But I have many flaws like every other human… Please, I beg of you to tell me if I’m worthy… And if I am, I will accept anything you wish to share with me, but I won’t be asking for anything… It’s not my place to ask, I’m here to help, and that’s more than enough for me! – he admitted in a sincere tone. Then, he got back to his feet, putting his sword on his back once again. – Then I will follow you to the guest quarters… I’m still… Awestruck… Hahaha! – Galen sighed.
If we are done, I will be taking PL + LMB! Thank you! Also learning Guardian Field!
